D&C 1844 106 / LDS 128 / RLDS 110

My notes of why I don’t believe D&C (1844 106) (LDS 128) (RLDS 110) is authentic. During Scripture Study 2023-10-15 I go over these reasons and explain them.

1) feelings, JS taught that the Holy Spirit had nothing to do with feeling but pure inelegance
2) although words from YHWH is revelation, I don’t know another instance of JS talking about them this way, perhaps I’m just being to critical.
2) additional views which is bringing out it’s a personal opinion contrast expounding of what scriptures say on the matter. Church law is based upon the scriptures not JS views and feelings. See D&C (LDS 42:59) (RLDS 42) (1833 44,47) (1835 13)
2) it was declared vs I showed you YHWH said, perhaps I’m being to critical but if it was from YHWH that is a big deal.
3) In LDS / Brighamite temples they don’t have a person from each ward making sure to see what their ward members are doing in accordance to this supposed revelation.
3) why is the word history being used here, it just happened right then, there is no history to consider
3) the word transaction makes me think of the Fanny Alger lie. https://hemlockknots.com/joseph-smiths-wives/fanny-alger/
3) thee individual that are present, scriptures talks about two or three witnesses not three or zero, in addition LDS / Brighamite practices 2 witnesses NOT 3.
3) if any present, there needs to be 2 or 3 witnesses
4) records are not holy, records can be true or false. Torah teaches us how to be holy and it’s by keeping Torah.
4) the global recorder is to state that he believes the record being given to him, to do that he would have to go research it and then pray about it, not just say oh because this guy says it’s true I believe it’s true, see D&C 8 & 9
4) ordinance, is not only a ceremony but also a rule
4) is making the one who is putting all the records together as a witness himself, which is going against the actual definition of what a witness is.
5) BoM teaches that YHWH sent prophets to all nations see notes under Baptism Dead, also see Mazzaroth which teaches the gospel in the stars.
5) Appealing to authority contrary to D&C 121
6) the books from Revelation 20:12 are not the books kept by men who make mistakes, but is kept by YHWH who is perfect and knows all, including the works we do in the dark where just men don’t know those works except it’s revealed to them but even then only on occasion see Nephi in book of Helaman, and king Benjamin stating I can’t enumerate all the ways you can sin …
7) as I just brought out, what ever things men record is not everything because wicked men do their works in the darkness, and men will be judged of those works showing it’s not from the books of men we will be judged from.
7) 2 Nephi 9:41
8) Moroni brings out why they took the names of those who joined the church into a record, to make sure they are nurished by the good word of YHWH not so make sure they are saved …
8) priesthood is about serving others to bring them to Yeshua and His ways, not promising people they are going to heaven by writing their name down.
8) there is a quote from JS that power of the priesthood has ability to have the elements of nature to obey them, that is taught in Jacob also and shown in the scriptures such as the exodus.
8) this is a twisting the verse from the NT, and the Greek in the NT and the BoM shows it’s men binding on earth what YHWH had already decreed should happen, and in Acts 5 this is an example of Peter enacting a punishment upon liars from Torah.
8) No man’s writing can bind you in heaven, for there is only ONE keeper of the gate into heaven and that is Yeshua the promised Messiah 2 Nephi 9:41. And this seems to suggest a man can write your name down and guarantee you are going to heaven, that contradicts the scriptures. Not to mention it’s the angels not men who do the harvesting in Yeshua’s parable from the NT.
8) there is nothing recorded from JS, including the JST, other than this supposed letter suggestion this better translation of Matthew 16. In addition we have nothing canonized that shows Peter stated because I wrote your name down you will be heaven now, but he do have records showing when Peter pronounced a curse from breaking Torah that is stated in Torah it happened.
8) this seems to be suggesting that baptism is necessary for salvation and it’s not, look at the Limhites as an example of why it’s not, also women needing someone else to baptize her such as Abish is an example of that amongst the wicked Lamanites and her own vision and not telling anyone. Also it also seems to suggest no need for enduring to the end, aka keeping the commandments till you die, which these dead did not do. And denies how the BoM teaches you can only repent while in mortality, and that you will have the same spirit in the resurrection as when you die. D&C 76 states that the only those who receive celestral glory need to be baptized by water.
8) is using ordinance as a ceremony, so perhaps it’s being used the same way in the earlier verse, which is incorrect.
9) if it has always been that way, why is it, it can only be brought out from one twisted verse, which the BoM shows differently. In case anyone is interestind the example of Alma the elder and judging people and exing them, is accordance to what a judge of the church is to do. And past and modern revelation confirms we are to remove repeating sinners from the church or if we don’t the church will not be YHWH’s anymore and will now receive curses. Yet again I ask for a confirm scripture that states that when a servant of YHWH says you are going to heaven and writes it down that you are now sealed to heaven, you can not find one. ONLY Yeshua stands at the gate NONE of His servants are there, only Him, 2 Nephi 9:41.
10) first of all people are not referenced as THIS, if this was talking about Peter it would say YOU not THIS. The word THIS is to refer to ideas and concepts not people. Not to mention a quote from JS states that the word THIS in this passage is about revelation. And I would add revelation that Yeshua is the promised Messiah who is the ROCK of our salvation, so I believe this NT passage is illuding to both of these ideas, which is just what Peter said happened.
11) I don’t believe JS would used the pharse “summun bonum” I believe JS would have stated it simply in the language of his day which is English. BoM teaches that YHWH speaks people in their own language, and I would extend that to His servants do the same thing.
11) “summum bonum” means highest good of the priesthood is to point us to Yeshua the promised Messiah even how they are ordainted as stated in Alma 13 and it’s not about how a supposed man can save you by writing down your name because that is a lie from the pit of hell. In fact Alma 13 brings out the purpose of the Melchizedek priesthood is to CALL REPENTANCE NOT write down their name to save them. Calling repenting helps people REPENT which is huge part of being sanctified.
11) I’ve had a lot of pretenders tell me I’m going to hell because I don’t believe in the herasies they are teaching, perhaps this is the supposed scripture they use to justify their idea they can condemn me.
12) Paul teaches the symbolism of baptism deals with Yeshua’s death not the death of those who died before Him and us. Baptism is all about Yeshua and His plan for us, it teaches much of the gospel with the images and how it’s used, it’s NOTHING about the likeness of sinners who did not repent as suggested in this verse.
13) if the font is patterned after where the saints wont go, then why are saints going to the likeness of it. Also all saints will die just as our perfect example died in our place to break the bands of death. If we don’t die, we can’t go to heaven, even if it’s in a twinkling of an eye.
13) To be honest I don’t see how 1 Corinthians 15:46-48 deal with baptisms for the dead. For one it never mentions death. It is talking about how in the resurrection our bodies will be spiritual, and so does the lectures on faith.
14) there is no connection to records in 1 Corinthians 15:46-48, as I already stated it’s about the resurrection and what type of bodies we will have.
14) everyone is resurrection who received a physical body here on earth, whether their name has been recorded on paper or not. As many who died in the womb may not have even received a name to be recorded.
14) This is suggesting if some church does not record all children who died before the age of accountability will not get to heaven, which is an evil teaching see Moroni 8.
15) There is a JST for Hebrews 11:40 that goes against what this verse is saying. And it states that without the refiners fire they could not be made perfect, just a refiners fire is need to make metal into what the master wants it to be, and how in Ether YHWH used the deep sea, choatic men, to bring them to the promised land aka heaven ect ect ect. FYI BY hated the JST, and I believe it’s because it destroyed his lies such as this one.
JST Hebrews 11:40 God having provided some better things for them through their sufferings, for without sufferings they could not be made perfect.
KJV Hebrews 11:40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
16) One thing no one talks about regarding 1 Corinthians 15:29 in the same chapter Paul talks about how he dies daily. In Hebrew thought when you sin you die, for the wages of sin is death. Hebrew fathers will consider their children as dead when they have sinned a grave sin.
17) this explanation contradicts the version of Malachi 4 we have on record in D&C (LDS 2) that Moroni gave JS. Showing it’s about the children going back to the promises that were given to the fathers aka Torah.
18) supposedly JS is claiming a plainer translation, but this suffices when Moroni gave him what the verse actually states, sorry not buying this lie.
18) the reason the earth would be fought with is curse is not because fathers are not sealed to their children, which FYI JS never did (there is talk of JS sealing people to him, which I don’t believe, but there is no talk of JS sealing children to their parents that came later in the LDS / Brighamite church.)
18) So the way perfect is used in the sermon on the mount and lectures on faith 7 is keeping the commandments of YHWH, nothing to do with being sealed to another person, which if not your immediate link of going from father to son but somewhere there is someone who is a wicked man and thus would make your chain invalid.
18) Your ability to live with Heavenly Father does not depend upon your ancestors living righteously, it depends on you coming under the blood of the Lamb with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, which are ways of saying you will keep His law, nothing else including your ancestors.
18) what Malichi 4 is stating that the whole human race would be destroyed if the Elijah [Joseph Smith] doesn’t bring people back to the way the fathers lived aka Torah.
18) where is the glory of Zion? Or the glory of prophets performing miracles, or the glory of prophets getting revelations to answer questions? This part is just full of nice sounding fluff.
18) I agree new revelations can happen, but they will not contradict previous revelation as JS taught and so does the rest of the Hebrew cannon.
18) Alma 12:9-11 brings out if you are not keeping the law you will not get the mysteries.
18) Alma 12:30ish to the end tells us that Adam kept Torah.
19) Sorry but I hear no glad tidings of joy for the dead who rejected the truth as the BoM teaches they are condemned because of their works. There is no repenting after you die.
20) I do agree that the BoM is fulfilment of prophecy, even that of the bringing forth water / revelation from the ground at the wells. But the BoM clearly contradicts what is being pushed in this supposed letter.
20) Peter James and John never came to JS to give him the Melchesidick priesthood, as JS taught and the scriptures teach the high priesthood is given by YHWH’s own voice nothing a man can do can give you this priesthood.
20) Why would Peter, James and John have the keys of the this dispensation when they never lived during it or did anything in it? Peter, James and John were apostles, which are not to be part of the church period, but to go to the world only as missionaries outside where the fullness is not, why would they have keys to a place they had no authority over? The kingdom as they were sent to where the kingdom is NOT.
21) there is no real record of this event that is being described here it’s a lie. Not to mention that the book of Daniel shows us that Gabriel is YHWH Himself. Also it’s the occult and gnostics that are fasinated by Raphael.
21) declaring ones priesthood seems more of a pride thing, that I’m better than you, than a servant as Yeshua taught leaders are to be.
21) not to mention line upon line and precept upon precent is something that is done when people keep the law / Torah, not something someone can just come and declare, see post and Alma 12:9-11.
22) the dead do nothing according to Alma 40, not even praise, which is what the Bible teaches also.
23) Alma 30 brings out that all things denote there is a good, but this is more of a prep talk than teaching anything. Encouragement to do what this supposed letter is teaching, which is heresies.
24) quoting Malachi 3 which is dealing with the second coming but most how the Levites will do animal sacrifices again, nothing to do with the heresy of baptisms for the dead which this supposed letter is about.
24) building not called temple in authentic sections.
24) BoM teaches against baptism of the dead.
25) Where are the other letters on this subject that JS was going to supposedly give?
