Law of Moses

One thing that YHWH Elohim has taught me from the scriptures is that Torah (commandments, judgements and statutes) and the Law of Moses (performances and ordiances / carnal commandments) are two different things. Yeshua showed me this first from the writings of the holy prophets in the Book of Mormon. Starting with Mosiah (LDS 13:25-33) (RLDS 8:1-12) which brings out how Law of Moses (performances and ordiances / carnal commandments) was given as a punishment for their sins and stiff necks. Then Alma (LDS 34:10-14) (RLDS 16:210-215) which states that Law of Moses (performances and ordiances / carnal commandments) points to Yeshua’s / Jesus’ atonement. After those two passages some other important ones which were revealed to me that teach the same thing are 3 Nephi (LDS 9:14-22) (RLDS 4:42-52) which I go over in Scripture Study 2024-02-24, 2 Nephi (LDS 25:23-28) (RLDS 11:43-54) which I also go over in Scripture Study 2024-02-24 and also 3 Nephi (LDS 15:1-10) (RLDS 7:1-12). YHWH then showed me this in Daniel 9. Daniel 9 is about blessings for those who accept Yeshua / Jesus and His atonement and curses for those who fight aganist Him. The principal focus of Daniel 9 is Yeshua’s atonement and what it can do for us after we accept Yeshua / Jesus, and that it was performed in the middle of the last week of the seventy week prophecy. Daniel 9 prophecy became full history after the destruction of the second temple in 70 AD as part of the sign of Jonah prophecy. For those who are interested I have gone over Daniel 9 in detail during Scripture Study 2023-05-18 because it was requested.

Daniel 9:20-27
AA 20 And whiles I [Daniel] was speaking, and praying,
AB and confessing my [Daniel’s] SIN [WAS RECONCILIED] and the SIN of my PEOPLE ISRAEL [HAD CONSEQUENCES],
-BA and presenting my supplication before the Lord [YHWH] my God [Elohim]
-BB for the holy mountain [where YHWH gave the commandments],
-BC of my GOD [ELOHIM];
–CA 21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer,
–C-B even the Man Gabriel [Man of El],
–C-B whom I had SEEN in the vision at the beginning [previously],
–CA being caused to FLY SWIFTLY,
—D TOUCHED [CAME TO] ME ABOUT THE TIME OF THE EVENING OBLATION [OFFERING] [Law of Moses] [same word in Exodus 29:41].
–CA 22 And He informed me, and talked with me, and said,
–CB O Daniel,
–CC I AM now come forth to give thee SKILL and UNDERSTANDING.
-BA 23 At the beginning of thy supplications
-BB the commandment came forth,
-BC and I AM come to shew thee [Daniel];
AA for thou art greatly beloved:
ABA therefore UNDERSTAND the MATTER [THEME] [RECONCILIATION AND CONSEQUENCE OF SIN],
ABB and CONSIDER the VISION [SEVENTY WEEKS].
AA 24 Seventy weeks [vision and prophecy] are determined upon thy [Daniel’s] PEOPLE [ISRAELITES] and upon thy holy city [Jerusalem],
-BA to finish [annihilate] the transgression [sin] [of the first Adam],
-B-B and to make an end of [obstruct] [the effects of] sins,
-B–C and to make reconciliation [atonement] for iniquity [sin],
-B–C and to bring in everlasting righteousness [we are saved by Yeshua’s merits],
-B-B and to SEAL UP [MAKE SURE] [WITH BLOOD] [CORFIRM / PREVAIL] the vision and [which is] prophecy [covenant] [in the middle of the last week of the seventy weeks vision and prophecy],
-BA and to anoint [fill with the spirit] the most Holy [second Adam].
-BA 25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem
-B-B unto the Messiah the Prince [H5057] shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks:
-B–CA the street shall be built again [make ye His paths straight],
-B–CB and the wall [diligent] [separate from the world],
-B–CC even in troublous times [endure to the end].
-B—DA 26 And after threescore and two weeks
-B—DB shall [the] Messiah be cut off [die] [and SHED HIS BLOOD],
-B—DC but not for Himself [Yeshua]:
-B–CA and the PEOPLE [ISRAELITES] of the Prince [H5057] [the Messiah] that shall come [later] shall destroy [corrupt] the city [Jerusalem] and the sanctuary [temple]
-B–CB and the end thereof shall be with a flood [overflowing] [of Roman soldiers],
-B–CC and unto the end of the war [40 years after the death of the Messiah, part of the sign of Jonah] desolations [destruction] are determined.
-B-BA 27 And He [the Messiah] shall CONFIRM [PREVAIL] [SEAL UP / MAKE SURE] the covenant [vision and prophecy] with many [Israelites] for one week [last week of the seventy weeks for the Israelites]:
-B-BB and in the midst [middle] of the week He shall cause the [daily] sacrifice and the [burnt] oblation [offerings] [same word in Exodus 29:41] to cease [put an end to],
-BAA and for the overspreading of abominations [detested] [contemptable / sins of rejection] He shall make it [temple] desolate [destroyed] [40 years after the death of the Messiah, part of the sign of Jonah],
-BAB even until the consummation [complete destruction] [of the temple, 40 years after the death of the Messiah, part of the sign of Jonah],
A and that [which is] determined shall be poured upon [and cause] desolate [destruction] [of temple 40 years after the Messiah’s death, part of the sign of Jonah].

Daniel no doubt, a student of Isaiah, knew of Isaiah 53, about the suffering servant, and thought upon it much. Which is very connected to Daniel 9, and Yeshua / Jesus is the Suffering Servant.

Isaiah 53:1-12 [Mosiah (LDS 14:1-12) (RLDS 8:15-27)]
AA 1 Who hath believed our REPORT?
A-B and to whom is the arm of the Lord REVEALED?
A–C 2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant,
A—D and as a root out of a dry ground:
A—-E HE hath NO FORM NOR COMELINESS;
A—–F and when WE SHALL SEE HIM,
A—-E there is NO BEAUTY that we should desire HIM.
A—D 3 He is despised and rejected of men;
A–C a man of sorrows, and acquainted with GRIEF:
A-B and we HID as it were our faces from Him;
AA HE WAS DESPISED, AND WE ESTEEMED HIM NOT.
-BA 4 Surely He hath borne our GRIEFS, and carried our SORROWS:
-BB yet we did esteem Him STRICKEN, SMITTEN of God [Elohim], and AFFLICTED.
-BA 5 But He was wounded for our TRANSGRESSIONS, He was BRUISED for our INIQUITES:
-BB the CHASTISEMENT [PUNISHMENT] of our peace was upon Him; and with His STRIPES we are HEALED.
–CA 6 All we like sheep have GONE ASTRAY;
–CB we have turned every one to his OWN WAY;
–CC and the Lord [YHWH] hath laid on him the INIQUITY of us all.
—D 7 He was OPPRESSED, and He was AFFLICTED,
—-EA yet he OPENED NOT His MOUTH:
—-E-B he is brought as a LAMB to the SLOUGHTER,
—-E-B and as a SHEEP before her SHEARERS is dumb,
—-EA so He OPENETH NOT His MOUTH.
—-EA 8 He was TAKEN from PRISON and from JUDGMENT:
—-E-B and who shall DECLARE HIS GENERATION?
—-EA for He was CUT OFF out of the land of the LIVING:
—D for the TRANSGRESION of my people was He STRICKEN.
–CA 9 And He made His grave with the WICKED,
–CB and with the RICH in His death;
–CC because He had done no VIOLENCE, neither was any DECEIT in His mouth.
-BAA 10 Yet it pleased the Lord [YHWH] to BRUISE Him;
-BAB He hath put Him to GRIEF:
-B-BA when thou shalt make His SOUL an OFFERING for SIN, [verse 7 E-B]
-B-BB He shall SEE His SEED, [verse 8 F-B]
-BAA He shall prolong His days,
-BAB and the pleasure of the Lord [YHWH] shall prosper in His hand.
AA 11 He shall see of the TRAVAIL of His soul, and shall be SATISFIED:
A-B by His knowledge shall my righteous servant JUSTIFY MANY;
A–C for He shall BEAR their INIQUITIES.
A—D 12 Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great,
A—-E and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; [strong in the faith]
A—D because he hath poured out His soul unto death:
A–C and He was NUMBERED with the TRANSGRESSOR;
A-B and He BARE THE SIN of MANY,
AA and made INTERCESSION for the transgressors.

I then saw this understanding in this obscure quote from Joseph Smith. Which states that the sacrafices that started with Moses [carnal commandments] would not continue, but the sacrafices that were before and part of Torah would continue. I go over this quote in great detail in Scripture Study 2024-02-24 if anyone wants to learn more about this quote. Later I looked for additional quotes from Joseph Smith, teaching the same thing, in the Words of Joseph Smith. (I would like to say regarding JST Galatians 3:12-19, how Joseph Smith states it’s the law of Moses and not Torah, YHWH Elohim had shown me that before hand, so for me it was a confirmation of what YHWH Elohim had been teaching me from the scriptures.)

Now the purpose in himself [Yeshua/Jesus] in the winding up scene of the last dispensation is, that all things pertaining to that dispensation should be conducted PRECISELY in accordance with the preceding dispensationS. And again, God purposed in himself that there should not be an eternal fulness, until every dispensation should be fulfilled [taught] and GATHERED TOGETHER IN ONE … therefore he set the ORDINANCES TO BE THE SAME FOR EVER AND EVER …
… thus we behold the keys of this priesthood consisted in obtaining the voice of Jehovah, that he talked with him [Noah] in a familiar and friendly manner, that he continued to him the keys, the covenants, the power and the glory, with which he blessed Adam at the beginning; and THE OFFERING OF SACRIFICE, WHICH ALSO SHALL BE CONTINUED AT THE LAST TIME; for ALL THE ORDINANCES AND DUTIES that ever have been required by the priesthood, under the directions and commandments of the Almighty in any of the dispensations, SHALL ALL BE HAD IN THE LAST DISPENSATION. Therefore ALL THINGS HAD UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE PRIESTHOOD AT ANY FORMER PERIOD SHALL BE HAD AGAIN, BRINGING TO PASS THE RESTORATION spoken of by the mouth of all the holy prophets; then shall the sons of Levi offer an acceptable offering to the Lord [YHWH]. ‘And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord’ Malachi 3:3-4 [3 Nephi (LDS 24:3-4) (RLDS 11:6-7)].
IT IS GENERALLY SUPPOSED THAT SACRIFICE WAS ENTIRELY DONE AWAY WHEN THE GREAT SACRIFICE [Alma (LDS 34:10-15) (RLDS )] [i.e.,] THE SACRIFICE OF THE LORD [YHWH] JESUS [YESHUA] WAS OFFERED UP, AND THAT THERE WILL BE NO NECESSITY FOR THE ORDINANCE OF SACRIFICE IN THE FUTURE; BUT THOSE WHO ASSERT THIS ARE CERTAINLY NOT ACQUAINTED WITH THE DUTIES, PRIVILEGES AND AUTHORITY OF THE PRIESTHOOD, OR WITH THE PROPHETS.
The OFFERING OF SACRIFICE has ever been connected and forms a part of the duties of the Priesthood. It [offering of sacrifice] began with the Priesthood, and WILL BE CONTINUED UNTIL AFTER THE COMING OF CHRIST [THE MESSIAH] [Adam-ondi-Aham], from generation to generation. We frequently have mention made of the offering of sacrifice by the servants of the Most High in ancient days, PRIOR TO THE LAW OF MOSES, WHICH ORDINANCES WILL BE CONTINUED WHEN THE PRIESTHOOD IS RESTORED WITH ALL IT’S AUTHORITY [Joseph Smith did not restore everything put did got it started], POWER AND BLESSINGS.
… THESE SACRIFICES, as well as every ordinance belonging to the Priesthood, will, WHEN THE TEMPLE OF THE LORD [YHWH] SHALL BE BUILT [FUTURE], and the sons of Levi be purified, be fully restored and attended to in all their powers, ramifications, and blessings. This ever did and ever will exist when the powers of the Melchizedek Priesthood are sufficiently manifest; else HOW CAN THE RESTITUTION OF ALL THINGS spoken of by the Holy Prophets be brought to pass. IT IS NOT TO BE UNDERSTOOD THAT THE LAW OF MOSES [DAILY PERFORMANCES AND ORDINANCES] WILL BE ESTABLISHED AGAIN with all its rites and variety of ceremonies; this has never been spoken of by the prophets; BUT THOSE THINGS WHICH EXISTED PRIOR TO MOSES’ DAY, namely, SACRIFICE, WILL BE CONTINUED.
It may be asked by some, what necessity for sacrifice, since the great sacrifice was offered? In answer to which, if repentance, baptism, and faith existed prior to the days of Christ, what necessity for them since that time?
Joseph Smith, History of the Church Volume 4 pages 211–212, Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith pages 172–173, Doctrines of Salvation Volume 3 page 94, The Words of Joseph Smith pages 38-44

It will be necessary here to make a few observations on the doctrine, set forth in the above quotation, As it is generally supposed that Sacrifice was entirely done away when the great sacrafice was offered up—and that there will be no necessity for the ordinance of Sacrifice in future, but those who assert this, are certainly not acquainted with the duties, privileges and authority of the priesthood. or with the prophets The offering of Sacrifice has ever been connected and forms a part of the duties of the priesthood. It began with the priesthood and will be continued until after the coming of Christ [the Messiah] [Adam-ondi-Ahman] from generation to generation—We frequently have mention made of the offering of Sacrifice by the servants of the most high in ancient days prior to the law of Moses [carnal commandment].

Gospel Ordinances from the Beginning:
Perhaps our friends will say that the Gospel and its ordinances were not known till the days of John, the son of Zacharias, in the days of Herod, the king of Judea. But we will here look at this point: For our own part we cannot believe that the ancients in all ages were so ignorant of the system of heaven as many suppose, since all that were ever saved, were saved through the power of this great plan of redemption, as much before the coming of Christ as since; if not, God has had different plans in operation (if we may so express it), to bring men back to dwell with Himself; and this we cannot believe, since there has been no change in the constitution of man since he fell; and the ordinance or institution of offering blood in sacrifice, was only designed to be performed till Christ [the Messiah] was offered up and shed His blood—as said before—that man might look forward in faith to that time. It will be noticed that, according to Paul, (see Gal. 3:8) the Gospel was preached to Abraham. We would like to be informed in what name the Gospel was then preached, whether it was in the name of Christ [the Messiah] or some other name. If in any other name, was it the Gospel? And if it was the Gospel, and that preached in the name of Christ [the Messiah], had it any ordinances? If not, was it the Gospel? And if it has ordinances what were they? Our friends may say, perhaps, that there were never any ordinances except those of offering sacrifices before the coming of Christ [the Messiah], and that it could not be possible before the Gospel to have been administered while the law of sacrifices of blood was in force. But we will recollect that Abraham offered sacrifice, and notwithstanding this, had the Gospel preached to him. That the offering of sacrifice was only to point the mind forward to Christ [the Messiah], we infer from these remarkable words of Jesus [Yeshua] to the Jews: “Your Father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad” (John 8:56). So, then, because the ancients offered sacrifice it did not hinder their hearing the Gospel; but served, as we said before, to open their eyes, and enable them to look forward to the time of the coming of the Savior, and rejoice in His redemption. We find also, that when the Israelites came out of Egypt they had the Gospel preached to them, according to Paul in his letter to the Hebrews, which says: “For unto us was the Gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it” (see Hebrews 4:2). It is said again, IN GAL 3:19 THAT THE LAW (OF MOSES, OR THE LEVITICAL LAW) WAS “ADDED” BECAUSE OF TRANSGRESSION. What, we ask, was this law added to, if it was not added to the Gospel? It must be plain that it was added to the Gospel, since we learn that they had the Gospel preached to them. From these few facts, we conclude that whenever the Lord [YHWH] revealed Himself to men in ancient days, and commanded them to offer sacrifice to Him [YHWH], that IT WAS DONE THAT THEY MIGHT LOOK FORWARD IN FAITH TO THE TIME OF HIS COMING, and rely upon the power of that atonement for a remission of their sins. And this they have done, thousands who have gone before us, whose garments are spotless, and who are, like Job, waiting with an assurance like his, that they will see Him in the latter day upon the earth, even in their flesh. We may conclude, that though there were different dispensations, yet all things which God [Elohim] communicated to His people were calculated to draw their minds to the great object, and to teach them to rely upon God [Elohim] alone as the author of their salvation, as contained in His law [Torah].

Rom. x: 3,4, “For they (Israel) being ignorant of God’s righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God; for Christ [the Messiah] is the end [goal] of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.” Thus the righteousness of God [Elohim] is made manifest in the plan of salvation by His crucified son; for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved,” but the name of Jesus [Yeshua] Christ [the Messiah] of Nazareth (Acts iv: 10, 12); but of this the Jews were ignorant, although they themselves crucified Him; and they have been going about wandering among all the nations of the earth ever since, for the space of eighteen hundred years, trying to establish their own righteousness, which is of the law of Moses [Carnal Commandments], which law can never make the comers thereto perfect [Torah makes perfect] (Heb. x: i.); yet notwithstanding their darkness and long dispersion, there is a remnant, according to the election of grace (Rom. xi: 5); whom God [Elohim] will gather from among all people whither they are scattered and will be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen; then shall they dwell in their land which God [Elohim] gave to His servant Jacob, and they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses and plant vineyards; “Yea, they shall dwell with confidence when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise them round about; and they shall know that I am the Lord [YHWH] their God [Elohim]” (Ezek. 28: 25, 26; Is. xi: 11 to 16); and when this gathering shall be completed, “It shall no more be said, The Lord [YHWH] liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt, but the Lord [YHWH] liveth that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers” (Jer. xvi: 14 to the end).

Rom. xi: 7. “What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it.” And why have they not obtained it? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law, for they stumbled at the stumbling stone: as it is written, “Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense” (Rom. ix: 32, 33); “to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many among them shall stumble” (Isaiah viii: 14, 15); but “have they stumbled that they should fall? God [Elohim] forbid; but rather through their fall, salvation is come unto the Gentiles” (Rom. xi: 11). “And Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled (Luke xxi: 24); and when the house of Israel shall be restored to their possessions in Canaan, it may truly be said, the election hath obtained it; for the fulfillment of God’s [Elohim’s] oath of election to Abraham as the father of the faithful, and the promises to His children will obtain that for Israel, which he has sought for in vain [fruitless] by the law of Moses [Performances and Ordinances].

The Levitical priesthood was an appendage to the Melchizedek priesthood or the whole law [Torah] of God [Elohim] when in full face or power in all its parts and bearings on the earth. …
OFFERING’S SACRIFICE’S AND CARNAL COMMANDMENTS [LAW OF MOSES], WAS ADDED IN CONSEQUENCE OF TRANSGRESSION and they that did them should live by them.

Thus the Gospel was taught to the ancients. Noah was a preacher of it as well as Enoch. So, too, was Melchizedek, priest of the Most High God, King of Salem, who met Abraham in his day and blessed him. Paul, the Apostle of the Gentiles, bears unmistakable testimony to the fact that the Gospel was preached unto Abraham; AND ALSO THAT IT WAS OFFERED TO ISRAEL UNDER MOSES BEFORE “THE LAW OF CARNAL COMMONDMENTS [LAW OF MOSES]” WAS GIVEN.

From Moses to John the Baptist and Messiah:
In greater clearness, however, than in these sayings of Paul gathered up from his writings like scattered rays of light from a prism’s reflection, the antiquity of the Gospel, as far as it concerns ancient Israel, is stated in a revelation of God [Elohim] to the Prophet Joseph Smith. And not only the antiquity of the Gospel, but in greater clearness also is stated the reasons why, AFTER THE GOSPEL WAS FIRST PREACHED TO ANCIENT ISRAEL, THE LAW OF CARNAL COMMENDMENTS [LAW OF MOSES] WAS “ADDED” to the Gospel, or given in its place, to act as a schoolmaster to bring Israel unto Christ [Messiah]. And by the knowledge imparted in that revelation the time between the Mosaic dispensation and the coming of John the Baptist, to prepare the way for the coming of the Christ [Messiah], is spanned by a statement so rational, that the truth of it cannot be reasonably questioned.
Speaking of the MELCHIZEDEK PRIESTHOOD and its powers in administering the ordinances of the Gospel, and HOW IT CAME TO DISAPPEAR AS AN ORGANIZATION IN ISRAEL, the passage in question says:
This greater Priesthood administereth the Gospel and holdeth the key of the mysteries of the kingdom, even the key of the knowledge of God [Elohim]. Therefore, in the ordinances thereof, the power of godliness is manifest. And without the ordinances thereof, and the authority of the Priesthood, the power of godliness is not manifest unto men in the flesh: for without this no man can see the face of God [Elohim], even the Father, and live. Now this Moses plainly taught to the children of Israel in the wilderness and sought diligently to sanctify his people that they might behold the face of God [Elohim]; BUT THEY HARDENED THEIR HEARTS and could not endure His [YHWH] presence; therefore, the Lord [YHWH] in His wrath, for his anger was kindled against them, swore that they should not enter into His [YHWH] rest while in the wilderness, which rest is the fulness of His [YHWH] glory. THEREFORE HE [YHWH] took Moses OUT OF THEIR MIDST, AND THE HOLY [MELCHIZEDEK] PRIESTHOOD ALSO; and the lesser [Aaronic] Priesthood continued, which Priesthood holdeth the key of the ministering of angels and the preparatory Gospel; which Gospel is the Gospel of repentance and of baptism, and the remission of sins, AND THE LAW OF CARNAL COMMANDMENTS [LAW OF MOSES], WHICH THE LORD [YHWH] IN HIS [YHWH] WRATH, CAUSED TO CONTINUE WITH THE HOUSE OF AARON AMONG THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL UNTIL JOHN, whom God [Elohim] raised up, being filled with the Holy Ghost [Torah] from his mother’s womb; for he was baptized while he was yet in his childhood [eight years old], and was ordained by the angel of God [Elohim] at the time he was eight days old unto this power to overthrow the kingdom of the Jews, and to make straight the way of the Lord [YHWH] before the face of his people, to prepare them for the coming of the Lord [YHWH], in whose hand is given all power.
As before remarked, this passage spans the interval of time between Moses and John the Baptist, and gives a fuller explanation than can be found in the writings of Paul or elsewhere, for the reason why and in what manner the law supplanted the Gospel; and what measure of the Priesthood remained with Israel unto the coming of John; in what the mission of John consisted, and in what manner he was qualified to fulfill that mission.
It should be remarked, however, that while the Lord [YHWH] took Moses out of the midst of ancient Israel, and the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood also, as an institution, as an organization, it is evident that subsequently special dispensations of that Priesthood were given to individual prophets, such as Samuel, Nathan, Elijah, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel: for these men exercised powers and enjoyed privileges which belong exclusively to the Melchizedek Priesthood.

Of the churches throughout the province of Galatia, it is scarcely necessary to say more than we have already said concerning the invasion of that province by JUDAIZING Christian ministers who were TURNING AWAY THE SAINTS FROME THE GRACE OF CHRIST [THE MESSIAH] BACK TO THE BEGGARLY ELEMENTS OF THE LAW OF CARNAL COMMANDMENTS [LAW OF MOSES]; a circumstance which led Paul to exclaim: “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that had called you unto the grace of Christ [the Messiah] unto another gospel: which is not another; but there be some that trouble you and would pervert the gospel of Christ [the Messiah].

Paul, referring to the Saints, (Rom. 1: 7), calls them beloved of God [Elohim], called to be Saints; and says, (Rom. viii: 1), “There is no condemnation to them which are in Christ [Messiah] Jesus [Yeshua], who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit,” and goes on to show in his epistle to the Romans, that the law (THE LAW OF CARNAL COMMANDMENTS [LAW OF MOSES] given to the children of Israel, the covenant people), COUNT NOT MAKE THE COMERS THEREUNTO PERFECT [TORAH] (see also Heb. x: 1), but was given for a schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ [the Messiah] (Gal. iii: 24); so that when He had come and offered Himself without spot unto God [Elohim] (Heb. ix: 14), THE SACRIFICE OF THE LAW [OF MOSES] SHOULD BE DONE AWAY IN HIM [YESHUA], that the honest in heart all might come unto the perfect law [Torah] of liberty (James i: 25); or the Gospel of Christ [the Messiah], walking no longer after the flesh but after the spirit, and be of that number who love God [Elohim] and keep His commandments, that they might be called according to His purpose (Rom. viii: 28);

Here is a quote from Rulon C Allred on how he understood Joseph Smith teachings on this subject.

Joseph said there were eternal laws [Torah] incorporated with the law of Moses [two parts] which are eternal in their nature, including the law of sacrifice. AS THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL IN THE TIME OF MOSES OFFERED SACRIFICE IN THE LIKENESS OF THE COMING OF CHRIST [THE MESSIAH], so when the fulness of the Melchizedek Priesthood is upon the earth in the last days the sons of Levi shall offer up a sacrifice acceptable to the Lord [YHWH]. Why will they do this? Is it not as fitting that they shall offer a sacrifice in the remembrance of His [Yeshua] atonement as they should have done to offer a sacrifice as a remembrance that it would come in times to come? SO WE HAVE IN THE LAW OF MOSES WHICH WAS ADDED TO THE GOSPEL A RITUAL WHICH TURNED THE HEARTS OF THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL MORE TO GOD [ELOHIM], IN THEIR WICKEDNESS. But the majority of the law of Moses [Torah] as it stood, including the law of sacrifice, was eternal in it’s nature, because it was part of God’s [Elohim’s] eternal law of existence. It had to be applicable.

Paul is a very knowledgable, holy apostle of Yeshua / Jesus the Messiah. We need to keep in mind, that Paul himself stated his letters were for those who were firm in understanding and keeping of Torah. Paul was teaching the teachers / leaders of the people, not the people themselves. Peter warned that if people are not solid in understanding and doing of Torah that Paul’s writings are easy to misunderstand and twist. Paul loved to call everything a law. There are three primary laws that Paul talks about, Torah, Law of Moses and the Oral Law [false traditions of the Rabbis]. Below are passages from Paul, where he is bringing out that the Law of Moses (performances and ordiances / carnal commandments) is to no longer be practiced. There are many times that Paul states that Torah is still to be kept.

JST Romans 7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law [Torah],) how that the law hath dominion over a man only as long as he liveth?

2 Peter 3:16 As also in all his [Paul] epistles, speaking in them of these things; IN WHICH ARE SOME THINGS HARD TO BE UNDERSTOOD, which they that are UNLEARNED and UNSTABLE wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. 17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.

Romans 10:4
A For Christ [the Messiah]
-B is the end [finished] of the law [of Moses] [at the cross]
-B for righteousness
A to every one that believeth.

Galatians 2:21
A I [Paul] do not frustrate the grace of God [Elohim]:
B for IF righteousness come by the law [of Moses],
C then Christ [the Messiah] is dead in vain.

JST Galatians 3:12-19 (bold Joseph Smith restored)
AA 12 And the law [of Moses] is not of faith:
AB but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
-BA 13 Christ [the Messiah] hath redeemed us from the curse of the law,
-B-B being made a curse for us:
-BA for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
–CA 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus [Yeshua] Christ [the Messiah]; [70 weeks, especially the atonement]
–CB that they might receive the promise [Genesis 22:8] of the Spirit through faith.
—DA 15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men;
—D-B Though it be but a man’s covenant,
—D-B yet when it be confirmed [Yeshua’s death],
—DA no man disannulleth [set aside], or addeth thereto.
—DA 16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made.
—D-B He saith not, And to seeds, as of many;
—D-B but as of one, And to thy seed,
—DA which is Christ [the Messiah].
–CA 17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God [Elohim] in Christ [the Messiah] [Genesis 22:8],
–C-B the law [of Moses, see Numbers 28:1-8],
–C–C which was four hundred and thirty years after [because of disobedience],
–C-B cannot disannul [revoke],
–CA that it should make the promise [Genesis 22:8] of none effect.
-BA 18 For if the inheritance [possession] is of the law [of Moses],
-B-B then it [law of Moses] is no more of promise:
-BA but God gave it to Abraham by promise [Genesis 22:8].
AA 19 Wherefore then, the law [that which is assigned] [of Moses] was ADDED [Numbers 28:1-8] BECAUSE OF TRANSGRESSIONS,
A-B TILL THE SEED [YESHUA] SHOULD COME
A-B to whom the promise was made in the law given to Moses,
AA who [Moses] was ordained by the hand of angels to be a mediator of this first covenant, (the law [of Moses].)

JST Galatians 3:24 (bold Joseph Smith restored)
A Wherefore the law [of Moses] was our schoolmaster
-B until Christ [the Messiah],
A that we might be justified by faith [trust and diligence].

Ephesians 2:14-16
AA 14 For He [Yeshua] is our peace,
AB who hath made both one,
AC and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
-B 15 Having ABOLISHED in His [Yeshua] FLESH [CARNAL] the enmity,
-B EVEN THE LAW OF COMMANDMENTS CONTAINED IN ORDINANCES [LAW OF MOSES];
–C for to make in Himself [Yeshua] of twain one new man,
—D so making peace;
–C 16 And that He [Yeshua] might reconcile both unto God [Elohim]
-B in one body BY THE CROSS,
A having slain the enmity [Genesis 3:14-15] thereby:

Colossians 2:14
A Blotting out the handwriting [legal note] of [daily performances and] ordinances [law of Moses] that was against us [given because of transgression],
-B which was contrary [set over against] to us [as a punishment],
-B and took it out of the way [removed it],
A nailing it to His [Yeshua’s] cross [death];

Hebrews (JST 7:11-27) (KJV 7:11-28) (bold Joseph Smith restored) (note: removal of KJV Hebrews 7:22 made chiasmus possible in addition to the restored text)
A 11 If therefore perfection
-BA were by the Levitical priesthood,
-BB (for under it the people received the law [of Moses],)
–CA what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchizedek,
–CB and not be called after the order of Aaron?
—DA 12 For the priesthood [duties] being changed,
—DB there is made of necessity a change [removal] also of the law [of Moses].
—-EA 13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe,
—-E-B of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
—-E–C 14 For it is evident that our Lord [YHWH] sprang out of Juda;
—-E–C of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
—-E-B 15 And it is yet far more evident:
—-EA for that after the similitude of Melchizedek there ariseth another priest [Yeshua],
—–FA 16 Who [Priest / Yeshua] is made,
—–F-B NOT AFTER THE LAW OF CARNAL COMMANDMENTS [LAW OF MOSES],
—–FA but after the power of an endless life.
——GA 17 For he testifieth,
——GB Thou art a priest for ever
——GC after the order of Melchizedek.
——-HA 18 For there is verily a disannulling [void] of the commandment [of carnality / Law of Moses]
——-HB going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
——–IAA 19 For the law [of Moses] was administered
——–IAB without an oath and made nothing perfect [keeping Torah is how we become perfect / sanctified in Yeshua],
——–IBA but was only the bringing in of a better hope [pointing to Yeshua’s atonement];
——–IBB by the which we draw nigh unto God [Elohim] [Yeshua dying on the cross is to draw men to Yeshua see 3 Nephi (LDS 27:13-15) (RLDS 12:25-28)].
———JA 20 Inasmuch as this high priest [Yeshua] was not without an oath,
———JB by so much was Jesus [Yeshua] made the surety of a better testament.
——–IAA 21 (For those priests were made without an oath;
——–IAB but this with an oath by him that said unto him,
——–IBA The Lord [YHWH] sware and will not repent,
——–IBB Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek:)
——-HA 22 And they truly were many priests,
——-HB because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
——GA 23 But this Man [Yeshua],
——GB because He [Yeshua] continueth ever,
——GC hath an unchangeable priesthood.
—–FA 24 Wherefore He [Yeshua] is able also to save them
—–F-B to the uttermost that come unto God [Elohim] by Him [Yeshua],
—–FA seeing He [Yeshua] ever liveth to make intercession for them.
—-EA 25 For such an high priest became us,
—-E-B Who [Yeshua] is holy,
—-E–C harmless,
—-E–C undefiled,
—-E-B separate from sinners,
—-EA and made ruler over the heavens;
—DA 26 And not as those high priests who offered up sacrifice DAILY [LAW OF MOSES],
—DB first for their own sins,
—DC and then for the sins of the people;
–CAA for He [Yeshua] needeth not offer sacrifice for his own sins,
–CAB for He [Yeshua] knew no sins;
–C-B but for the sins of the people.
–CAA And this He [Yeshua] did once,
–CAB when He [Yeshua] offered up Himself [Yeshua].
-B 27 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity;
AA but the word of the oath [covenant / Torah],
A-B which was since the law,
A-B maketh the Son,
AA who is consecrated for evermore.

Hebrews 8:6-13
AA 6 But now hath He [Yeshua] obtained a more excellent ministry,
A-B by how much also He [Yeshua] is the mediator of a better covenant [Torah],
A–C which was established upon better promises.
A-B 7 For if that first covenant [Law of Moses] had been faultless,
AA then should no place have been sought for the second [Torah].
-BA 8 For finding fault with them, He [YHWH] saith,
-B-B Behold, the days come, saith the Lord [YHWH],
-B-B when I [YHWH] will make a [ne]new covenant [Torah]
-BA with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
–CA 9 Not according to the covenant [Law of Moses] that I [YHWH] made with their fathers
–C-B in the day when I [YHWH] took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt;
–C-B because they continued not [sinned against] in My [YHWH] covenant [Torah],
–CA and I [YHWH] regarded them not, saith the Lord [YHWH].
—DAA 10 For this is the covenant [Torah]
—DAB that I [YHWH] will make with the house of Israel
—D-B after those days, saith the Lord [YHWH];
—DAA I [YHWH] will put My [YHWH] laws [Torah] into their mind,
—DAB and write them in their hearts:
—-EA and I [YHWH] will be to them a God [Elohim],
—-EB and they shall be to Me [YHWH] a people:
—DA 11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour,
—D-B and every man his brother,
—D–C saying, Know the Lord [YHWH]:
—D-B for all shall know Me [YHWH],
—DA from the least to the greatest.
–CA 12 For I [YHWH] will be merciful to their unrighteousness,
–CB and their sins and their iniquities will I [YHWH] remember no more.
-B 13 In that He saith, A new [renew] covenant [Torah],
AA He [Yeshua] hath made the first [Law of Moses] old.
AB Now that which decayeth and waxeth [Law of Moses] old
AC is ready to vanish away [because of the cross].

JST Hebrews 9 (bold Joseph Smith restored)
AA 1 Then verily the first covenant [Law of Moses]
A-B had also [performances and] ordinances of divine service,
AA and a worldly sanctuary.
-BAA 2 For there was a tabernacle made;
-BA-BA the first [room], wherein was the candlestick,
-BA-BB and the table,
-BA-BC and the shewbread;
-BAA which is called the sanctuary.
-B-BA 3 And after the second veil,
-B-BB the tabernacle [room] which is called the Holiest of all;
-B–CA 4 Which had the golden censer,
-B–C-B and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold,
-B–C–C wherein was the golden pot that had manna,
-B–C-B and Aaron’s rod that budded,
-B–CA and the tables of the covenant;
-B-BA 5 And over it the cherubims of glory
-B-B-B shadowing the mercyseat;
-B-BA of which we cannot now speak particularly.
-BAA 6 Now when these things were thus ordained,
-BAB the priests went always into the first tabernacle,
-BAC accomplishing the service of God [Elohim].
–CA 7 But into the second [room] went the high priest alone once every year [Day of Atonement],
–C-B not without blood,
–C–CA which he offered for himself,
–C–CB and for the errors of the people:
–C—D 8 The Holy Ghost [Torah] signifying this,
–C—-E that the way [atonement] into the holiest of all [heaven]
–C—–F was not yet made manifest [happened],
–C—-E while as yet the first tabernacle was standing:
–C—D 9 Which was a figure for the time then present,
–C–CA in which were offered both gifts
–C–CB and sacrifices,
–C-B that could not make him that did the service perfect,
–CA as pertaining to the conscience;
—DAA 10 Which stood consisted only
—DAB in meats and drinks,
—DAC and divers washings,
—D-B and CARNAL ORDINANCES [law of Moses],
—D–C imposed on them until the time of reformation [after the cross].
—D–C 11 But Christ [the Messiah] being come an [Melchizedek] high priest
—D-B of good things to come [law of Moses points to the atonement],
—DAA by a greater and more perfect tabernacle,
—DA-B not made with hands,
—DA-B that is to say,
—DAA not of this building;
—-EAA 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves,
—-EAB but by His [Yeshua] own blood He [Yeshua] entered in once into the holy place,
—-EAC having obtained eternal redemption for us.
—-EBA 13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats,
—-EBB and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean,
—-EBC sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
—–FA 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ [the Messiah],
—–F-B who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself [Yeshua]
—–F–C without spot to God [Elohim],
—–F-B purge [cleanse] your conscience
—–FA from dead works [sins] to serve the living God [Elohim]?
—–FAA 15 And for this cause He [Yeshua] is the mediator of the new [renewed] covenant [Torah],
—–FAB that by means of death,
—–FBA for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant [Law of Moses],
—–FBB they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
—-EA 16 For where a covenant is,
—-E-B there must also of necessity
—-E–C be the death of the victim.
—-E-B 17 For a covenant [atonement / Genesis 22:8] is of force after the victim [Yeshua] is dead:
—-EA otherwise it is of no strength at all while the victim liveth.
—DA 18 Whereupon neither the first covenant [Law of Moses]
—D-B was dedicated without blood.
—D-C 19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law [of Moses],
—D–DAA he took the blood of calves and of goats,
—D–DA-B with water,
—D–DA-B and scarlet wool,
—D–DAA and hyssop,
—D–DBA and sprinkled both the book,
—D–DBB and all the people,
—D—E 20 Saying, This is the blood of the covenant [law of Moses]
—D—-F which God [Elohim] hath enjoined unto you.
—D—–G 21 Moreover he [Moses] sprinkled likewise with blood both the tabernacle,
—D—-F and all the vessels of the ministry.
—D—E 22 And almost all things are by the law [of Moses] purged [cleansed] with blood;
—D–D and without shedding of blood is no remission.
—D-C 23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens
—D-B should be purified [cleansed] with these;
—DA but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
–CA 24 For Christ [the Messiah] is not entered into the holy places made with hands,
–C-B which are the figures [types and shadows] of the true;
–C–C but into heaven itself,
–C—D now to appear in the presence of God [Elohim] for us:
–C 25 Nor yet that He [Yeshua] should offer himself often,
–C-B as the high priest entereth into the holy place
–CA every year [Day of Atonement] with blood of others;
-BA 26 For then must He [Yeshua] often have suffered
-B-B since the foundation of the world:
-B–C but now once in the meridian of time
-B-B hath He [Yeshua] appeared [manifested] to put away sin
-BA by the sacrifice of Himself [Yeshua].
AA 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die,
A-B but after this the judgment:
A–C 28 So Christ [the Messiah] was once offered
A–C to bear the sins of many;
A-B and He [Yeshua] shall appear the second time without sin
AA unto salvation unto them that look for Him [Yeshua].

JST Hebrews 10 (bold Joseph Smith restored)
AA 1 For the law [of Moses] having a shadow of good things to come [Yeshua’s atonement],
A-B and not the very image of the things,
A–C can never with those sacrifices [law of Moses] which they offered continually
A—D make the comers thereunto perfect [perfection is by Torah through Yeshua].
A—-E 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered?
A—–F because that the worshippers once purged [cleansed]
A—–F should have had no more conscience of sins.
A—-E 3 But in those [Torah] sacrifices
A—D there is a remembrance again made
A–C of sins every year [Passover and Day of Atonement].
A-B 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats
AA should take away sins.
-BA 5 Wherefore when He [Yeshua] cometh into the world,
-B-B He [Yeshua] saith, Sacrifice and offering [law of Moses] thou wouldest not,
-BA but a body hast thou prepared me:
–CA 6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices [Law of Moses]
–C-B for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
–C–C 7 Then said I [YHWH], Lo, I [YHWH] come
–C—D (in the volume of the book it is written of Me [YHWH],)
–C—-E to do thy [Elomim] will, O God [Elohim].
–C—D 8 Above when He [YHWH] said,
–C–CAA Sacrifice and offering [Law of Moses]
–C–CAB and burnt offerings [law of Moses]
–C–CAC and offering [law of Moses]
–C–CB for sin thou wouldest not,
–C-B neither hadst pleasure therein;
–CA which are offered [past] by the law [of Moses];
—DAA 9 Then said He [Yeshua], Lo,
—DA-B I [Yeshua] come to do Thy [Elohim] will, O God [Elohim].
—DA-B He [Yeshua] taketh away the first [law of Moses],
—DAA that He [Yeshua] may establish the second [Torah].
—D-BA 10 By which will we are sanctified
—D-B-B through the offering once
—D-BA of the body of Jesus [Yeshua] Christ [the Messiah].
—D-BA 11 And every priest standeth DAILY [Law of Moses] ministering
—D-B-B and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices [Law of Moses],
—D-BA which can never take away sins [Law of Moses]:
—DAA 12 But this Man [Yeshua],
—DA-B after He [Yeshua] had offered one sacrifice for sins [atonement] for ever,
—DAA sat down on the right hand of God [Elohim] [same power];
—-EA 13 From henceforth to reign
—-EB until His [Yeshua] enemies be made His [Yeshua] footstool [second coming].
—–FA 14 For by one offering He [Yeshua]
—–FB hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
——GA 15 Whereof the Holy Ghost [Torah] also is a witness to us:
——G-B for after that He [YHWH] had said before,
——G–C 16 This is the covenant that I [YHWH] will make
——G—D with them after those days,
——G–C saith the Lord [YHWH],
——G-B I [YHWH] will put My laws [Torah] into their hearts,
——GA and in their minds will I write them;
——-HA 17 And their sins and iniquities
——-HB will I [YHWH] remember no more.
——–IA 18 Now where remission of these is,
——–IB there is no more offering [Law of Moses] for sin.
———JAA 19 Having therefore, brethren,
———JAB boldness to enter into the holiest
———JAC by the blood of Jesus [Yeshua],
———J-B 20 By a new [renewed] and living way [Torah],
———J-B which He [Yeshua] hath consecrated for us,
———JAA through the veil,
———JAB that is to say,
———JAC His [Yeshua] flesh;
——–IA 21 And having such an high priest [Yeshua]
——–IB over the house of God [Elohim];
——-HA 22 Let us draw near with a true [broken] heart in full assurance of faith,
——-H-B having our [broken] hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience,
——-HA and our bodies washed with pure [living] water.
——GA 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith
——G-B without wavering;
——GA (for He [YHHW] is faithful that promised [Genesis 22:8];)
—–FA 24 And let us consider one another
—–FB to provoke unto love and to good works:
—-EA 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together,
—-E-B as the manner of some is;
—-E–C but exhorting one another:
—-E-B and so much the more,
—-EA as ye see the day approaching [second coming].
—DAAA 26 For if we sin wilfully
—DAA-B after that we have received the knowledge of the truth,
—DAAA there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
—DABA 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation,
—DABB which shall devour the adversaries.
—D-BA 28 He that despised [broke / sin] Moses’ law [Torah] died
—D-BB without mercy under two or three witnesses:
—D–C 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye,
—D—D shall he be thought worthy,
—D—-E who hath trodden under foot the Son of God [Elohim],
—D—-E and hath counted the blood of the covenant,
—D—D wherewith he was sanctified,
—D–C an unholy thing,
—D-BA and hath done despite
—D-BB unto the Spirit of grace?
—DAAA 30 For we know Him [YHWH] that hath said,
—DAA-B Vengeance belongeth unto Me [YHWH],
—DAA-B I [YHWH] will recompense,
—DAAA saith the Lord [YHWH].
—DABA And again, The Lord [YHWH] shall judge His [YHWH] people.
—DABB 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God [Elohim].
–CAA 32 But call to remembrance the former days,
–CAB in which, after ye were illuminated,
–CAC ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
–C-BA 33 Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock
–C-BB both by reproaches and afflictions;
–C–C and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.
–C—D 34 For ye had compassion of Me [YHWH] in My [YHWH] bonds,
–C–C and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods,
–C-BA knowing in yourselves that ye have
–C-BB in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
–CAA 35 Cast not away therefore your confidence,
–CA-B which hath great recompence of reward.
–CA–C 36 For ye have need of patience,
–CA-B that, after ye have done the will of God [Elohim],
–CAA ye might receive the promise.
-BA 37 For yet a little while,
-BB and he that shall come will come,
-BC and will not tarry.
AA 38 Now the just shall live by faith:
A-B but if any man draw back,
A–C my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
A-B 39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition;
AA but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Below is Genesis (KJV 22:1-19) (JST 22:1-23) which contains the promise / convenant of Yeshua the Messiah Paul mentions in JST Galatians 3:12-19, JST Hebrews 9 and JST Hebrews 10.

Genesis (KJV 22:1-19) (JST 22:1-23) (bold Joseph Smith restored)
AAA 1 And it came to pass after these things,
AA-B that God [Elohim] did try [test] Abraham,
AA-B and said unto him, Abraham:
AAA and Abraham said, Behold, here am I.
A-BA 2 And the LORD [YHWH] said, Take now thy son [flesh],
A-BB thine only Isaac [flesh],
A-BC whom thou lovest,
A–C and get thee into the land of Moriah;
A-B and offer him there for a burnt offering [law of Moses]
AA upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee.
-BAA 3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning,
-BAB and saddled his ass [donkey],
-B-BA and took two of his young men [prophets] with him,
-B-B-B and Isaac his son [flesh],
-B-B–C and clave the wood for the burnt offering [law of Moses],
-B-B-B and rose up,
-B-BA and went unto the place of which God [Elohim] had told him.
-B–CA 4 Then on the third day
-B–CB Abraham lifted up his eyes,
-B–CC and saw the place afar off.
-B-BA 5 And Abraham said unto his young men [prophets],
-B-B-B Abide you here with the ass [donkey];
-B-B-B and I and the lad [flesh] will go yonder and worship,
-B-BA and come to you again.
-BAA 6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering [law of Moses],
-BA-B and laid it upon his [Abraham] back [modalism];
-BA–C and he took the fire in his hand, [justification]
-BA–C and a knife, [sanctification]
-BA-B and Isaac his son [flesh];
-BAA and they went both of them together [modalism].
–CAA 7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father,
–CAB and said, My father:
–CAC and he said, Here am I, my son.
–C-B And he said, Behold the fire and the wood:
–C–C but where is the lamb for a burnt offering [law of Moses]?
–C—D 8 And Abraham [father] said, My son [flesh],
–C–C God [Elohim] will provide Himself a lamb
–C-B for a burnt offering [law of Moses]:
–CA so they went both of them together.
—DA 9 And they came to the place of
—DB which God [Elohim] had told him;
—-EA and Abraham built an altar there,
—-E-B and laid the wood in order,
—-E-B and bound Isaac his son [flesh],
—-EA and laid him on the altar upon the wood.
—–FA 10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand,
—–FB and took the knife to slay his son.
——GA 11 And the angel of the Lord [YHWH] called unto him out of heaven,
——GB and said, Abraham, Abraham:
——GC and Abraham said, Here am I.
—–FA 12 And the angel said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad,
—–FB neither do thou any thing unto him:
—-EA for now I know that thou fearest God [Elohim],
—-E-B seeing thou hast not withheld thy son [flesh],
—-EA thine only Isaac [flesh] from me.
—DA 13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes,
—DB and looked,
–CA and behold behind him a thicket,
–C-B there was a ram caught in it by his horns [power from keeping Torah]:
–C–C and Abraham [Father] went and took the ram [Lamb],
–C-B and offered him up for a burnt offering [law of Moses]
–CA in the stead of his son [followers].
-BA 14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah [YHWH]-jireh [to see]:
-B-B as it is said unto this day,
-BA In the mountain [Torah] of the LORD [YHWH] it shall be seen.
AAA 15 And the angel of the LORD [YHWH]
AAB called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,
A-BA 16 And said, Thus saith the LORD [YHWH],
A-BB I have sworn by Myself,
A-BC that because thou hast done this thing,
A–CA and hast not withheld thy son,
A–CB thine only Isaac [flesh] from me:
A—D 17 That in blessing I will bless thee,
A—-E and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven,
A—-E and as the sand which is upon the sea shore;
A—D and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
A–C 18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;
A-B because thou hast obeyed My voice.
AAA 19 So Abraham returned unto his young men [prophets],
AA-B and they rose up [awake and arise]
AA-B and went to Beer-sheba [well of seven] [Heaven];
AAA and Abraham dwelt at Beer-sheba [well of seven] [Heaven].

Below is 3 Nephi (LDS 27:13-15) (RLDS 12:25-28) which teaches that Yeshua / Jesus died on the cross to draw men to Yeshua in support of Hebrews (JST 7:11-27) (KJV 7:11-28).

3 Nephi (LDS 27:13-15) (RLDS 12:25-28)
AA 13 Behold I have given unto you My [Yeshua] gospel,
A-B and this is the gospel which I [Yeshua] have given unto you—
A-B that I [Yeshua] came into the world to do the will of My [Yeshua] Father,
AA because My [Yeshua] Father sent Me [Yeshua].
-BAA 14 And My [Yeshua] Father sent Me [Yeshua] that I [Yeshua] might be lifted up upon the cross;
-BAB and after that I [Yeshua] had been lifted up upon the cross,
-B-B that I [Yeshua] might draw all men unto Me [Yeshua],
-B–C that as I [Yeshua] have been lifted up by men
-B–C even so should men be lifted up by the Father,
-B-B to stand before Me [Yeshua],
-BAA to be judged of their works,
-BAB whether they be good or whether they be evil—
AA 15 And for this cause have I [Yeshua] been lifted up;
A-B therefore, according to the power of the Father
A-B I [Yeshua] will draw all men unto Me [Yeshua],
AA that they may be judged according to their works.

Below are the remaining JST / Inspired Version / New Translation of the Bible that Joseph Smith did by way of commandment from YHWH Elohim that deal with the Law of Moses (performances and ordiances / carnal commandments).

JST Exodus 34:1-2 (bold Joseph Smith restored)
AAA 1 And the Lord [YHWH] said unto Moses,
AAB Hew thee two other tables of stone,
A-B like unto the first,
A–C and I [YHWH] will write upon them also,
A–C the words of the law [Torah],
A-B according as they were written at the first
AA on the tables which thou brakest;
-BA but it shall not be according to the first,
-B-B for I will take away the [Melchizedek] priesthood out of their midst;
-B–C therefore My [YHWH] holy order,
-B—D and the ordinances thereof [Baptism of Fire and Holy Spirit],
-B–C shall not go before them;
-B-B for My [YHWH] presence shall not go up in their midst,
-BA lest I destroy them.
-BA 2 But I will give unto them the law [Torah] as at the first,

YHWH through the holy prophet Joseph Smith revealed to us D&C (LDS 84) (RLDS 32) (1835 4) (1844 4). Parts of it help us better understand the Law of Moses (performances and ordiances / carnal commandments).

There are a few passages in the Hebrew scriptures where the Law of Moses is refered to as the first or the old. First and old are synonymous terms. When something is the first in time it is also the oldest. There are also times that Torah is refered to as the second. We need to remember the second in time is the new. JST Exodus 34:1-2 brings out how this terminology started after the mix multitude broke their promise to keep Torah that they made with YHWH before Moses went up Mount Sinai. Because the mix multitude broke their promise so quickly and so severely after seeing YHWH’s miraculous power to save them many times and attributing it to Satan, YHWH gave the people a punishment, that the sons of Aaron were to perform DAILY, to keep them in remembrance of who actually saved them, see JST Galatians 3:12-19, Mosiah (LDS 13:25-33) (RLDS 8:1-12), Numbers 28:1-8. As stated in Alma (LDS 34:10-14) (RLDS 16:210-215) “every whit [of the Law of Moses] pointing to that great and last sacrifice [atonement]” to help them recognize the promised Messiah when He came and what means we can be saved, which Abinadi mentions in Mosiah (LDS 13:25-33) (RLDS 8:1-12) that the wicked don’t see that it is because of Yeshua’s / Jesus’ atonement that we can be saved. In a like manner Torah is at times talked about as being new [renewed] after Yeshua died on the cross. For one, new can and does mean renewed, but also Torah will seem new because it will be refreshing and no longer needing to worry about the daily carnal death of two lambs that were given as a burdensome punishment, which is why Paul talks about a change of the duties of the priesthood, see Hebrews (JST 7:11-27) (KJV 7:11-28). With regards to “all things” in 3 Nephi (LDS 15:1-10) (RLDS 7:1-12) and other passages of scriptures, it is helpful to keep in mind that “all things” very often does mean Torah as I talk about at the end of Scripture Study 2023-06-03. When you search this term in the scriptures you see it connected to Torah, but not Law of Moses (performances and ordinances / carnal commandments).

—DA 15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men;
—D-B Though it be but a man’s covenant,
—D-B yet when it be confirmed,
—DA no man disannulleth [set aside], or addeth thereto.
—DA 16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made.
—D-B He saith not, And to seeds, as of many;
—D-B but as of one, And to thy seed,
—DA which is Christ [the Messiah].
–CA 17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God [Elohim] in Christ [the Messiah] [Genesis 22:8],
–C-B the law [of Moses],
–C–C which was four hundred and thirty years after [because of disobedience],
–C-B cannot disannul [revoke],
–CA that it should make the promise [Genesis 22:8] of none effect.
-BA 18 For if the inheritance [possession] is of the law [of Moses],
-B-B then it [law of Moses] is no more of promise:
-BA but God gave it to Abraham by promise [Genesis 22:8].
AA 19 Wherefore then, the law [that which is assigned] [of Moses] was ADDED BECAUSE OF TRANSGRESSIONS,
A-B TILL THE SEED [YESHUA] SHOULD COME
A-B to whom the promise was made in the law given to Moses,
AA who [Moses] was ordained by the hand of angels to be a mediator of this first covenant, (the law [of Moses].)

–C-B in the day when I [YHWH] took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt;
—D-B after those days, saith the Lord [YHWH];
-B 13 In that He saith, A new [renewed] covenant [Torah],
AA He [Yeshua] hath made the first [Law of Moses] old.

-BAA 2 For there was a tabernacle made;
-BA-BA the first [room], wherein was the candlestick,
-BA-BB and the table,
-BA-BC and the shewbread;
-BAA which is called the sanctuary.
-B-BA 3 And after the second veil,
-B-BB the tabernacle [room] which is called the Holiest of all;
-B–CA 4 Which had the golden censer,
-B–C-B and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold,
-B–C–C wherein was the golden pot that had manna,
-B–C-B and Aaron’s rod that budded,
-B–CA and the tables of the covenant;
-B-BA 5 And over it the cherubims of glory
-B-B-B shadowing the mercyseat;
–C–CB and sacrifices,
–C-B that could not make him that did the service perfect,
–CA as pertaining to the conscience;
—DAA 10 Which stood consisted only
—DAB in meats and drinks,
—DAC and divers washings,
—D-B and CARNAL ORDINANCES [law of Moses],
—D–C imposed on them until the time of reformation [after the cross].
—D–C 11 But Christ [the Messiah] being come an [Melchizedek] high priest
—D-B of good things to come [law of Moses points to the atonement],
—DAA by a greater and more perfect tabernacle,
—DA-B not made with hands,
—DA-B that is to say,
—DAA not of this building;
—D—E 22 And almost all things are by the law [of Moses] purged [cleansed] with blood;
—D–D and without shedding of blood is no remission.
—D-C 23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens
—D-B should be purified [cleansed] with these;
—DA but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
–CA 24 For Christ [the Messiah] is not entered into the holy places made with hands,
–C -B which are the figures [types and shadows] of the true;
–C–C but into heaven itself,
–C—D now to appear in the presence of God [Elohim] for us:
–C–C 25 Nor [not] yet that He [Yeshua] should offer Himself often,
–C-B as the high priest entereth into the holy place
–CA every year [Day of Atonement] with blood of others;
A–C to bear the sins of many;
A-B and He [Yeshua] shall appear the second time without sin

–C–CB for sin thou wouldest not,
–C-B neither hadst pleasure therein;
–CA which are offered [past] by the law [of Moses];
—D-B- and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices [Law of Moses],
—D-BA which can never take away sins [Law of Moses]:
—DAA 12 But this Man [Yeshua],
—DA-B after He [Yeshua] had offered one sacrifice for sins [atonement] for ever,
—DAA sat down on the right hand of God [Elohim] [same power];
——G-B for after that He [YHWH] had said before,
——G–C 16 This is the covenant that I [YHWH] will make
——G—D with them after those days,
——G–C saith the Lord [YHWH],
——G-B I [YHWH] will put My laws [Torah] into their hearts,
——GA and in their minds will I write them;
——-HA 17 And their sins and iniquities
——-HB will I [YHWH] remember no more.
——–IA 18 Now where remission of these is,
——–IB there is no more offering [Law of Moses] for sin.
———JAA 19 Having therefore, brethren,
———JAB boldness to enter into the holiest
———JAC by the blood of Jesus [Yeshua],
———J-B 20 By a new and living way [Torah],
———J-B which He [Yeshua] hath consecrated for us,
———JAA through the veil,
———JAB that is to say,
———JAC His [Yeshua] flesh;
——–IA 21 And having such an high priest [Yeshua]
——–IB over the house of God [Elohim];
——G-B without wavering;
——GA (for He [YHHW] is faithful that promised [Genesis 22:8];)
—–FA 24 And let us consider one another
—–FB to provoke unto love and to good works:
—-EA 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together,
—-E-B as the manner of some is;
—-E–C but exhorting one another:
–CAA 32 But call to remembrance the former days,
–CAB in which, after ye were illuminated,
–CAC ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
–C-BA 33 Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock
–C-BB both by reproaches and afflictions;
A-B 39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition;
AA but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

3 Nephi (LDS 12:46-47) (RLDS 5:91-92)
AA 46 Therefore those things which were of old time [past],
A-B which were under [punishment] the law [of Moses],
AB in Me are all fulfilled [done away].
BA 47 Old things [law of Moses] are done away,

3 Nephi (LDS 15:1-10) (RLDS 7:1-12)
1 And now it came to pass that when Jesus [Yeshua] had ended these sayings He cast his eyes round about on the multitude, and said unto them:
A Behold, ye have heard the things which I taught before I ascended to My Father;
-B therefore, whoso remembereth these sayings of Mine and doeth them,
–C him will I raise up [Celestial] at the last [judgement] day.
—D 2 And it came to pass that when Jesus [Yeshua] had said these words
—-E He perceived that there were some among them who marveled, and wondered what He would concerning the law of Moses [daily performances and ordinances];
—–FAA for they understood not the saying
—–FAB that old things [law of Moses] had passed away,

—–FBA 3 And he said unto them: Marvel not that
—–FBB I said unto you that old things [law of Moses] had passed away,
—–FBC and that all things [Torah] had become new [renew].
——G 4 Behold, I say unto you that the law is fulfilled that was given unto Moses [POINTING TO THAT GREAT AND LAST SACRIFICE].

——–I and I AM He who covenanted with My people Israel;
———J therefore, the law [of Moses, TYPES OF THINGS TO COME] in Me is fulfilled,
——–I for I have come to fulfil [keep the covenant] the law [of Moses, POINTING TO THAT GREAT AND LAST SACRIFICE];
——-H therefore it [Law of Moses] hath an end.
——GA 6 Behold, I do not destroy the prophets,
——GB for as many as have not been fulfilled in Me,
—–FA verily I say unto you, shall all be fulfilled.
—–F-B 7 And because I said unto you that old things [law of Moses] have passed away,
—–F-B I do not destroy that which hath been spoken concerning things which are to come.
—–FA 8 For behold, the covenant which I have made with My people is not all fulfilled;
—-EA but the law which was given unto Moses [POINTING TO THAT GREAT AND LAST SACRIFICE]
—-EB hath an end in Me [at the cross].
—DA 9 Behold, I AM the law [of Moses],
—DB and the light [Torah].
–CA Look unto Me, and endure to the end, and ye shall live;
–CB for unto him that endureth to the end will I give eternal life [Celestial].
-BA 10 Behold, I have given unto you the commandments;
-BB therefore keep my commandments.
AA And this is the law [Torah] and the prophets,
AB for they truly testified of Me [Yeshua].

Law of Moses (performances and ordinances / carnal commandments) is primarily the sacrafice of the two daily lambs that the sons of Aaron were responsible for performing daily. There are additional parts that happen on the weekly sabbath, and on the moonly sabbath, and on high holidays. In Scripture Study 2023-03-29 I talk about a part of Law of Moses (performances and ordinances / carnal commandments) that is connected with Passover. The fact that first five books of Moses don’t specify what to do if the new moon day (a moonly sabbath) lands on a week day or a weekly sabbath because in YHWH Elohim’s LunarSolar Calender it never will, this is a proof for the Lunar Sabbath. Before sharing the some scriptures that tell us what the daily performances and ordinances (Law of Moses / Carnal Commandment) are, I would like to briefly mention some connections with Yeshua’s / Jesus’ last hours. The women who anointed Yeshua / Jesus who is THEE LAMB that the Law of Moses (performances and ordinances / carnal commandments) points to in accordance with the law of Moses. The reason Yeshua / Jesus partook of wine while hanging on the cross for my sins is because wine is part of the Law of Moses (performances and ordiances / carnal commandments) which He performed as the Priest, Lamb, Red Heifer, and the Alter. The prayer that Yeshua / Jesus said while hanging on the cross is the sweet savour of the Law of Moses (performances and ordinances / carnal commandments) which He finished.

Exodus 29:38-42
AA 38 Now this is that which thou shalt offer upon the altar;
AB two lambs of the first year DAY BY DAY continually.
-BA 39 The one lamb thou shalt offer in the morning;
-BB and the other lamb thou shalt offer at even:
–CA 40 And with the one lamb a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil;
–CB and the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering.
—D 41 And the other lamb thou shalt offer at even,
–CA and shalt do thereto according to the meat offering of the morning,
–CB and according to the drink offering thereof,
-B for a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto the Lord [YHWH].
AA 42 This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the Lord [YHWH]:
AB where I will meet you, to speak there unto thee.

Numbers 28:1-8
1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them,
AA My offering,
AB and my bread for my sacrifices
AC made by fire,
AD for a sweet savour unto me, shall ye observe to offer unto me in their due season.
-BA 3 And thou shalt say unto them, This is the offering made by fire which ye shall offer unto the Lord [YHWH];
-B-B two lambs of the first year without spot DAY BY DAY, for a continual burnt offering.
-B-B 4 The one lamb shalt thou offer in the morning, and the other lamb shalt thou offer at even;
-BA 5 And a tenth part of an ephah of flour for a meat offering, mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil.
–C 6 It is a continual burnt offering,
—D which was ordained [established / started] in mount Sinai for a sweet savour,
–C a sacrifice made by fire unto the Lord [YHWH].
-BA 7 And the drink offering thereof shall be the fourth part of an hin
-BB for the one lamb:
-BA in the holy place shalt thou cause the strong wine to be poured unto the Lord [YHWH] for a drink offering.
-BB 8 And the other lamb shalt thou offer at even:
AA as the meat offering of the morning,
AB and as the drink offering thereof, thou shalt offer it,
AC a sacrifice made by fire,
AD of a sweet savour unto the Lord [YHWH].

One thing I want to make clear, is that Torah (commandments, judgements and statutes) is still valid and still needs to be kept as the Book of Mormon shows clearly to those with ears to hear and eyes to see as I show by going over tons of Book of Mormon passages after Yeshua’s / Jesus’ death and resurrection in Scripture Study 2022-11-02.

Without any further delay, below are the passages in the Book of Mormon that I am aware of that show that the Law of Moses / Carnal Commandments / Performances and Ordiances are to be stopped after Yeshua died on the cross because it points to Yeshua’s atonement in every whit and was given as punishment till He died because of the wickedness of the Israelites and the mixed multitude while Moses was up on Mt Sinai. For those who are interested I go over and expound many of these verses in Scripture Study 2022-08-26. I am greatful that YHWH’s punishments don’t have to be eternal and can be stopped because otherwise this sinful man would be in hell instead of with the Father basking in His glory after I die.

2 Nephi (LDS 11:4) (RLDS 8:7-9)
AA Behold, my [Jacob] soul delighteth in proving unto my [Jacob] people
AB the truth of the COMING OF CHRIST [THE MESSIAH];
-B for, for this END [PURPOSE] [PROVING THE COMING OF THE MESSIAH]
–C hath the law of Moses [daily performances and ordinances] been given;
-B and all things which have been GIVEN OF GOD [ELOHIM] [including the law of Moses]
AA from the beginning of the world, unto man,
AB are the TYPIFYING OF HIM [THE MESSIAH].

2 Nephi (LDS 25:23-28) (RLDS 11:43-54)
AA 23 For we labor diligently to WRITE,
AB to PERSUADE our children, and also our brethren,
-BA to believe in Christ [the Messiah],
-B-B and to be reconciled to God [Elohim];
-B–C for we know that it is by grace that we are saved,
-B-B after all we can do [repent and come unto Yeshua].
-BA 24 And, notwithstanding we believe in Christ [the Messiah],
–C we keep the law of Moses [daily performances and ordinances],
—D and LOOK FORWARD with steadfastness UNTO CHRIST [THE MESSIAH],
—-E until the law [of Moses, TYPES OF THINGS TO COME] shall be fulfilled [finished].
—–F 25 For, for this END [PURPOSE] [LOOK FORWARD UNTO THE MESSIAH] was the law [of Moses, daily performances and ordinances] given;
—-E wherefore the law [of Moses, TYPES OF THINGS TO COME] hath become dead unto us,
—D and we are made alive in Christ [the Messiah] because of our faith;
–C yet we keep the law [of Moses, daily performances and ordinances] because of the commandments.
-BA 26 And we TALK of Christ [the Messiah],
-BB we REJOICE in Christ [the Messiah],
-BA we PREACH of Christ [the Messiah],
-BB we PROPHESY of Christ [the Messiah],
AA and we WRITE according to our prophecies,
A-B that our children may KNOW to what source they may LOOK for a REMISSION of their sins.
A–C 27 Wherefore, we speak concerning the law [of Moses, LOOK FORWARD UNTO THE MESSIAH] that our children may know the deadness of the law [of Moses, daily performances and ordinances];
A–C and they, by knowing the deadness of the law [of Moses, daily performances and ordinances],
A-BA may LOOK FORWARD UNTO THAT LIFE WHICH IS IN CHRIST [THE MESSIAH],
A-BB and know for what END [PURPOSE] [LOOK FORWARD UNTO THE MESSIAH] the law [of Moses, TYPES OF THINGS TO COME] was given.
A-BA And after the law [of Moses, LOOK FORWARD UNTO THE MESSIAH] is fulfilled [finished] in Christ [the Messiah],
A-BB that they need not harden their hearts against Him when the law [of Moses, LOOK FORWARD UNTO THE MESSIAH] ought to be done away [finished].
AA 28 And now behold, my people, ye are a stiffnecked people;
A-B wherefore, I have spoken plainly unto you,
A–C that ye cannot misunderstand.
A-B And the words which I have spoken shall stand as a testimony against you;
AA for they are sufficient to teach any man the right way;
A-B for the right way is to believe in Christ [the Messiah] and deny Him not;
AA for by denying Him ye also deny the prophets and the law [Torah].

2 Nephi (LDS 25:30) (RLDS 11:57)
A And, inasmuch as it shall be expedient,
-B ye must keep the [DAILY] PERFORMANCES and ORDINANCES of God [Elohim]
A until the LAW [OF MOSES, TYPES OF THINGS TO COME] shall be fulfilled which was given unto MOSES.

Jacob (LDS 4:5) (RLDS 3:5-6)
AA Behold, they believed in Christ [the Messiah, the Son] and worshiped the Father in His name,
AB and also we worship the Father in His name.
-B And for this INTENT [PURPOSE] we keep the law of Moses [TYPES OF THINGS TO COME], it POINTING OUR SOULS TO HIM [THE MESSAIH];
-B and for this CAUSE [REASON] [POINTING OUR SOULS TO THE MESSIAH] it is sanctified unto us for righteousness,
AA even as it was accounted unto Abraham in the wilderness to be obedient unto the commands of God [Elohim] in offering up his son Isaac,
AB which is a similitude of God [Elohim] and his Only Begotten [beloved] Son.

Jacob (LDS 7:7) (RLDS 5:10-12)
AA And ye have led away much of this people
AB that they pervert the right way of God [Elohim],
-BA and keep not the law of Moses which is the right way;
-B-B and convert the law of Moses
-BA into the worship of a being which ye say shall come many hundred years hence.
–C And now behold, I, Sherem, declare unto you that this is blasphemy;
–C for no man knoweth of such things;
-B for he cannot tell of things to come.
A And after this manner did Sherem contend against me.

Jarom (LDS 1:11) (RLDS 1:24-26)
AA Wherefore, the prophets, and the priests, and the teachers,
AB did labor diligently, exhorting with all long-suffering the people to diligence;
-B teaching the law of Moses [daily performances and ordinances],
–C and the INTENT [PURPOSE] [LOOK FORWARD UNTO THE MESSIAH] for which it [law of Moses, TYPES OF THINGS TO COME] was given;
–C PERSUADING them to LOOK FORWARD UNTO THE MESSIAH,
-B and believe in Him to come AS THOUGH HE ALREADY WAS.
A And after this manner did they teach them.

Mosiah (LDS 3:14-15) (RLDS 1:110-113)
AA 14 Yet the Lord [YHWH] God [Elohim] saw that His [YHWH] people were a stiffnecked people,
A-B and He [YHWH] appointed unto them a law,
AA even the law of Moses [performances and ordinances].
BA And many signs, and wonders, and TYPES, and SHADOWS [TO COME] showed he unto them,
B-BA CONCERNING HIS COMING;
B-B-B and also holy prophets spake unto them
B-BA CONCERNING HIS COMING;
B–C and yet they hardened their hearts,
B-B and understood not that the law of Moses [CONCERNIG HIS COMING] availeth nothing
BA except it were through the ATONEMENT of His [YHWH] blood.

Mosiah (LDS 12:28-37) (RLDS 7:84-99)
AA 28 And they said: We teach the law of Moses.
AB 29 And again he said unto them:
AC If ye teach the law of Moses why do ye not keep it?
-BA Why do ye set your hearts upon riches?
-BB Why do ye commit whoredoms and spend your strength with harlots,
-BC yea, and cause this people to commit sin,
–CA that the Lord [YHWH] has cause to send me to prophesy against this people,
–CB yea, even a great evil against this people?
—D 30 Know ye not that I speak the truth?
—D Yea, ye know that I speak the truth;
–C and you ought to tremble before God [Elohim].
-B 31 And it shall come to pass that ye shall be smitten for your iniquities,
AA for ye have said that ye teach the law of Moses.
A-B And what know ye concerning the law of Moses?
A-B Doth salvation come by the law of Moses?
AA What say ye?
-BA 32 And they answered and said that salvation did come by the law of Moses.
-BB 33 But now Abinadi said unto them: I know if ye keep the commandments of God [Elohim] ye shall be saved;
-BC yea, if ye keep the commandments which the Lord [YHWH] delivered unto Moses in the mount of Sinai, saying:
–CA 34 I am the Lord [YHWH] thy God [Elohim],
–CB who hath brought thee out of the land of Egypt,
–CC out of the house of bondage.
—D 35 Thou shalt have no other God [Elohim] before Me.
–CA 36 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image,
–CB or any likeness of any thing in heaven above,
–CC or things which are in the earth beneath.
-BA 37 Now Abinadi said unto them, Have ye done all this?
-BB I say unto you, Nay, ye have not.
AA And have ye taught this people that they should do all these things?
AB I say unto you, Nay, ye have not.

Mosiah (LDS 13:25-33) (RLDS 8:1-12)
AA 25 And it came to pass that after Abinadi had made an end of these sayings that he said unto them:
AB Have ye taught this people that they should observe to do all these things for to keep these commandments?
-B 26 I say unto you, Nay; for if ye had, the Lord [YHWH]would not have caused me to come forth and to prophesy evil concerning this people.
–CA 27 And now ye have said that salvation cometh by the law of Moses [daily performances and ordinances].
–C-B I say unto you that it is EXPEDIENT that ye should keep the LAW OF MOSES [TYPES OF THINGS TO COME] AS YET [AT THIS TIME];
–C-B but I say unto you, that the time shall come when it shall NO MORE be EXPEDIENT to keep the LAW OF MOSES [DAILY PERFORMANCES AND ORDINANCES].
–CA 28 And moreover, I say unto you, that SALVATION DOES NOT COME BY THE LAW [TORAH] ALONE [Torah has a part in salvation] [Law of Moses is a dead work];
—DA and were it not for the ATONEMENT,
—DB which GOD [ELOHIM] HIMSELF SHALL MAKE [ATONEMENT] for the sins and iniquities of his people,
–CA that they must unavoidably perish, notwithstanding [not opposing] the LAW OF MOSES [TYPES OF THINGS TO COME].
–C-B 29 And now I say unto you that it was EXPEDIENT that there should be a LAW [OF MOSES] given to the children of Israel,
–C–CA yea, even a very STRICT LAW [OF MOSES, KEEP THEM IN REMEMBRANCE OF ELOHIM];
–C–C-B for they were a stiffnecked people,
–C–C-B quick to do iniquity,
–C–CA and SLOW TO REMEMBER THE LORD [YHWH] THEIR GOD [ELOHIM];
–C—D 30 Therefore there was a LAW [OF MOSES, TYPES OF THINGS TO COME] given them,
–C—D yea, a law [of Moses] of PERFORMANCES AND OF ORDINANCES,
–C–C a law [of Moses] which they were to observe STRICTLY from DAY TO DAY [Numbers 28:3] [DAILY],
–C-B to KEEP THEM IN REMEMBRANCE OF GOD [ELOHIM] and their duty towards him.
–CA 31 But behold, I say unto you, that all THESE THINGS [LAW OF MOSES] were TYPES OF THINGS TO COME.
-BA 32 And now, did they understand the law [of Moses, TYPES OF THINGS TO COME]?
-B-B I say unto you, Nay,
-B–C they DID NOT ALL UNDERSTAND the LAW [OF MOSES, TYPES OF THINGS TO COME];
-B-B and this BECAUSE OF THE HARDNESS OF THEIR HEARTS;
-BA for they UNDERSTOOD NOT that there could not any man be SAVED EXCEPT it were through the REDEMPTION OF GOD [ELOHIM].
AA 33 For behold, did not Moses prophesy unto them concerning the coming of the Messiah, and that God [Elohim] should redeem His people?
AB Yea, and even all the prophets who have prophesied ever since the world began—have they not spoken more or less concerning these things?

Mosiah (LDS 16:14) (RLDS 8:90)
A 14 Therefore, if ye teach the LAW OF MOSES [DAILY PERFORMANCES AND ORDINANCES],
B also teach that it is a SHADOW OF THINGS WHICH ARE TO COME-

Alma (LDS 25:15-16) (RLDS 14:74-77)
AA 15 Yea, and they did keep the LAW OF MOSES [DAILY PERFORMANCES AND ORDINANCES];
A-B for it was expedient that they should keep the LAW OF MOSES [TYPES OF THINGS TO COME]
A-B AS YET [AT THIS TIME],
AA for it was not all fulfilled.
-BA But NOTWITHSTANDING [NOT OPPOSING] the LAW OF MOSES [TYPES OF THINGS TO COME],
-BB they did look FORWARD to the COMING of CHRIST [THE MESSIAH],
-BA CONSIDERING that the LAW OF MOSES [DAILY PERFORMANCES AND ORDINANCES]
-BB was a TYPE OF HIS COMING,
AA and believing that they must keep THOSE OUTWARD PERFORMANCES
AB UNTIL the time that He should be revealed unto them [AFTER HIS DEATH].
A Now they did not suppose that salvation came by the law of Moses [TYPES OF THINGS TO COME];
-BA but the LAW OF MOSES [TYPES OF THINGS TO COME]
-BB did serve to strengthen their faith in CHRIST [THE MESSIAH];
–C and thus they did retain a hope through faith, unto eternal salvation,
-B relying upon the spirit of prophecy [TYPES OF THINGS TO COME],
A which spake of THOSE THINGS TO COME.

Alma (LDS 30:3) (RLDS 16:3-4)
A Yea, and the people did observe to keep the commandments of the Lord [YHWH];
-B and they were STRICT in observing the ORDINACES of GOD [ELOHIM],
-B according to the LAW OF MOSES [daily performances and ordinances];
A for they were taught to keep the law of Moses [TYPES OF THINGS TO COME] UNTIL it should be fulfilled.

Alma (LDS 30:22-23) (RLDS 16:24-28)
A 22 And it came to pass that the high priest said unto him:
-B Why do ye go about perverting the ways of the Lord [YHWH]?
–C Why do ye teach this people that there shall be no Christ [Messiah],
-B to interrupt their rejoicings?
A Why do ye speak against all the prophecies of the holy prophets?
AA 23 Now the high priest’s name was Giddonah.
AB And Korihor said unto him:
-B Because I do not teach the foolish traditions of your fathers,
–C and because I do not teach this people to bind themselves down
—D under the foolish ordinances and performances [carnal commandments]
—-E which are laid down by ancient priests,
—D to usurp power and authority over them,
–C to keep them in ignorance,
-B that they may not lift up their heads,
A but be brought down according to thy words.

Alma (LDS 34:10-14) (RLDS 16:210-215)
AA 10 For it is expedient that there should be a GREAT AND LAST SACRIFICE;
A-B yea, not a sacrifice of man,
A–C neither of beast [law of Moses],
A–C neither of any manner of fowl [law of Moses];
A-B for it shall not be a human sacrifice;
AA but it must be an INFINITE AND ETERNAL sacrifice.
-BA 11 Now there is not any man that can sacrifice his own blood which will atone for the sins of another.
-B-B Now, if a man murdereth [when we sin we, we cause our own death]
-B–CA behold will our law, which is just,
-B–CB take the life of his brother?
-B–CA I say unto you, Nay.
-B–CB12 But the law requireth the life of him
-B-B who hath murdered;
-BA therefore there can be nothing which is short of an infinite atonement which will suffice for the sins of the world.
–C 13 Therefore, it is EXPEDIENT that there should be a GREAT AND LAST SACRIFICE,
-BA and then shall there be, or it is expedient there should be, a stop to the shedding of blood [law of Moses];
-B-B then shall the law of Moses [TYPES OF THINGS TO COME] be fulfilled;
-B–C yea, it shall be all fulfilled [finished],
-B–C every jot and tittle [pointed to in the daily performances and ordinances],
-B-B and none shall have passed away [been omitted].
-BA 14 And behold, this is the whole meaning of the law [of Moses, daily performances and ordinances],
AA EVERY WHIT POINTING [TYPES] TO THAT GREAT AND LAST SACRIFICE [OF THINGS TO COME];
A-B and that GREAT AND LAST SACRIFICE
A-B will be the SON OF GOD [ELOHIM],
AA yea, INFINITE AND ETERNAL.

3 Nephi (LDS 1:24) (RLDS 1:28-29)
A And there were no contentions [false doctrines], save it were a few that began to preach,
-B endeavoring [trying] to prove by the scriptures
-B that it was no more expedient to observe the LAW OF MOSES [POINTING TO THAT GREAT AND LAST SACRIFICE].
A Now in this thing they did err [because Yeshua hadn’t died yet], having not understood the scriptures.

3 Nephi (LDS 9:14-22) (RLDS 4:42-52)
AA 14 Yea, verily I say unto you, if ye will come unto Me
AB ye shall have eternal life.
A-B Behold, Mine arm of mercy is extended towards you,
AA and whosoever will come, him will I receive;
AB and blessed are those who come unto Me.
-BA 15 Behold, I am Jesus [Yeshua] Christ [the Messiah] the Son of God [Elohim].
-B-B I created the heavens and the earth,
-B–C and all things that in them are.
-B-B I was with the Father from the beginning.
-BA I am in the Father, and the Father in me [modalism];
-BB and in me hath the Father glorified His name.
–CA 16 I came unto My own,
–CB and My own received Me not.
—DA And the scriptures concerning My coming [TYPES OF THINGS TO COME] are fulfilled [finished].
—D-B 17 And as many as have received Me,
—D–C to them have I given
—D—D to become the sons of God [Elohim];
—D–C and even so will I
—D-B to as many as shall believe on My name [authority],
—DAA for behold, by Me redemption cometh,
—DAB and in me is the law of Moses [TYPES OF THINGS TO COME] fulfilled.
—-EA 18 I am the light and the life of the world.
—-EB I am Alpha and Omega,
—-EC the beginning and the end.
—DA 19 And ye shall offer up unto Me no more
—D-B the shedding of blood [CARNAL COMMANDMENTS];
—D-B yea, your SACRIFICES and your BURNT OFFERINGS [TYPES OF THINGS TO COME]
—DAA shall be done away,
—DA-B for I will accept none
—DAA of your SACRIFICES and your BURNT OFFERINGS [TYPES OF THINGS TO COME].
–CAA 20 And ye shall offer for a sacrifice unto me a broken heart and a contrite spirit [always has been the requirement].
–CAB And whoso cometh unto me with a broken heart and a contrite spirit,
–CBA him will I baptize with fire [justification] and with the Holy Ghost [sanctification / Torah],
–CB-B even as the Lamanites,
–CB-B because of their faith in me at the time of their conversion,
–CBA were baptized with fire [justification] and with the Holy Ghost [sanctification / Torah], and they knew it not.
-BA 21 Behold, I have come unto the world to bring redemption unto the world,
-BB to save the world from sin.
AA 22 Therefore, whoso repenteth and cometh unto Me as a little child,
AB him will I receive, for of such is the kingdom of God [Elohim].
A-B Behold, for such I have laid down My life [TYPES OF THINGS TO COME],
A-B and have taken it up again;
AA therefore repent, and come unto Me ye ends of the earth,
AB and be saved.

3 Nephi (LDS 12:46-47) (RLDS 5:91-92)
AA 46 Therefore those things which were of old time [past],
A-B which were under [punishment] the law [of Moses],
AB in Me are all fulfilled [done away].
BA 47 Old things [law of Moses] are done away,
BB and all things [Torah] have become new [renewed].

3 Nephi (LDS 15:1-10) (RLDS 7:1-12)
1 And now it came to pass that when Jesus [Yeshua] had ended these sayings He cast his eyes round about on the multitude, and said unto them:
A Behold, ye have heard the things which I taught before I ascended to My Father;
-B therefore, whoso remembereth these sayings of Mine and doeth them,
–C him will I raise up [Celestial] at the last [judgement] day.
—D 2 And it came to pass that when Jesus [Yeshua] had said these words
—-E He perceived that there were some among them who marveled, and wondered what He would concerning the law of Moses [daily performances and ordinances];
—–FAA for they understood not the saying
—–FAB that old things [law of Moses] had passed away,
—–FAC and that all things [Torah] had become new [renew].
—–FBA 3 And he said unto them: Marvel not that
—–FBB I said unto you that old things [law of Moses] had passed away [finished],
—–FBC and that all things [Torah] had become new [renew].
——G 4 Behold, I say unto you that the law is fulfilled that was given unto Moses [POINTING TO THAT GREAT AND LAST SACRIFICE].
——-H 5 Behold, I AM He that gave the law [of Moses, daily performances and ordinances],
——–I and I AM He who covenanted with My people Israel;
———J therefore, the law [of Moses, TYPES OF THINGS TO COME] in Me is fulfilled,
——–I for I have come to fulfil [keep the covenant] the law [of Moses, POINTING TO THAT GREAT AND LAST SACRIFICE];
——-H therefore it hath an end.
—–FA 8 For behold, the covenant which I have made with My people is not all fulfilled;
—-EA but the law which was given unto Moses [POINTING TO THAT GREAT AND LAST SACRIFICE]
—-EB hath an end in Me [at the cross].
—DA 9 Behold, I AM the law [of Moses],
—DB and the light [Torah].
–CA Look unto Me, and endure to the end, and ye shall live;
–CB for unto him that endureth to the end will I give eternal life [Celestial].
-BA 10 Behold, I have given unto you the commandments;
-BB therefore keep my commandments.
AA And this is the law [Torah] and the prophets,
AB for they truly testified of Me [Yeshua].

4 Nephi (LDS 1:12) (RLDS 1:13)
A And they did not walk any more after the [DAILY] PERFORMANCES and ORDINANCES of the LAW OF MOSES [TYPES OF THINGS TO COME];
B but they did walk after the commandments [Torah] which they had received from their Lord [YHWH] and their God [Elohim],
A continuing in fasting and prayer,
B and in meeting together oft both to pray and to hear the word of the Lord [YHWH].

Ether (LDS 12:11) (RLDS)
A Wherefore, by faith was the law of Moses [TYPES OF THINGS TO COME] given.
-B But in the gift of his Son hath God prepared a more excellent way;
A and it is by faith that it [law of Moses] hath been fulfilled.
