Here are our notes of why I, Steven and Benjamin, from Torah is Eternal, don’t believe D&C LDS 137 is from YHWH or Joseph Smith:
2 I saw the transcendent beauty of the gate through which the heirs of that kingdom will enter, which was like unto circling flames of fire; 3 Also the blazing throne of God, whereon was seated the Father and the Son. 4 I saw the beautiful streets of that kingdom, which had the appearance of being paved with gold.
2-4) These verses are taking things from Revelation 21 that apply to both the New and Old Jerusalem and twisting them to be about the Celestial kingdom which is actually a degree of glory not a kingdom of it’s own.
2 I saw the transcendent beauty of the gate through which the heirs of that kingdom will enter, which was like unto circling flames of fire;
2) The word “transcendent” is straight out of occult and eastern philosophy. There is not a gate specifically for those who received the Celestial glory. Revelation 21 shows no fire around any gates.
4 I saw the beautiful streets of that kingdom, which had the appearance of being paved with gold.
4) Although Revelation 21:21 states streets paved with gold, it’s an earthly city not the Celestial kingdom.
5 I saw Father Adam and Abraham; and my father and my mother; my brother Alvin, that has long since slept;
5) Joseph’s father didn’t die until Sep 14 1840, and his mother outlived Joseph.
6 And marveled how it was that he had obtained an inheritance in that kingdom, seeing that he had departed this life before the Lord had set his hand to gather Israel the second time, and had not been baptized for the remission of sins.
6) Joseph would not be marveled about someone receiving the Celestial glory that died before the gathering of Israel because in that scriptures teach it’s about accepting Yeshua as the promised Messiah and sanctifying yourself by keeping YHWH’s ancient and eternal ways known as Torah.
7 Thus came the voice of the Lord unto me, saying: All who have died without a knowledge of this gospel, who would have received it if they had been permitted to tarry, shall be heirs of the celestial kingdom of God;
7) BoM, D&C and all scriptures tells that YHWH gives His Torah also know as His light to all adults. Also see notes and recordings for D&C (1844 105) (LDS 127) (RLDS 109) & D&C (1844 106) (LDS 128) (RLDS 110) where we talk about how the gospel was preached to everyone before despite the lies that the LDS / Brighamite church teaches on the subject.
8 Also all that shall die henceforth without a knowledge of it, who would have received it with all their hearts, shall be heirs of that kingdom;
8) see 7
9 For I, the Lord, will judge all men according to their works, according to the desire of their hearts.
9) The way to judge if someone’s work is good or evil is by YHWH’s ancient and eternal Torah. Early in this supposed revelation it is falsely claimed that it doesn’t matter if they did evil works, which contradicts all men being judged according to the their works. Not to mention that Jeremiah teaches us that our hearts are wicked.
