Defining YHWH’s Rest

Below is a good list of scriptures show that YHWH’s rest is eternal life. Which is described as being with YHWH in the fullness of His glory which is Celestial glory, see Kingdom of Heaven. We receive YHWH rest after mortality during our resurrection for eternity. This is also known as your baptism of the Holy Spirit / Ghost or in other words sanctification.

SJR 1 Chronicles 23:25 For David said, The Lord [YHWH] God [Elohim] of Israel hath given rest unto His [YHWH] people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem {H3389: founded peace} for ever:

2 Chronicles 15:15 And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart [desires], and sought Him [YHWH] with their whole desire; and He [YHWH] was found of them: and the Lord [YHWH] gave them rest round about.

Isaiah 51:4 Hearken unto Me [YHWH], My [YHWH] people; and give ear [obey] unto Me [YHWH], O My [YHWH] nation: for a law [Torah] shall proceed from Me [YHWH], and I [YHWH] will make My [YHWH] judgment [Torah] to rest for a light [Torah] of the people.

Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the Lord [YHWH], Stand ye in the ways [Torah], and see, and ask for the old paths [Torah], where is the good way [Torah], and walk [obey] therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

Matthew 11:28-29
29 Come unto Me [Yeshua], all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I [Yeshua] will give you rest. 29 Take My [Yeshua] yoke upon you, and learn of Me [Yeshua]; for I [Yeshua] am meek [righteous] and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Hebrews 4:3 For we which have believed [trust & diligent] do enter into [YHWH] rest, as He [YHWH] said, As I [YHWH] have sworn in My [YHWH] wrath [angry], if they shall enter into My [YHWH] rest: although the works [atonement] were finished from the foundation of the world.

Jacob (LDS 1:7) (RLDS 1:7) Wherefore we labored diligently among our people, that we might persuade them to come unto Christ [Messiah], and partake of the goodness [Torah] of God [Elohim], that they might enter into His [YHWH] rest, lest by any means He [YHWH] should swear in His [YHWH] wrath they should not enter in, as in the provocation in the days of temptation while the children of Israel were in the wilderness.

Alma (LDS 12:34-35) (RLDS 9:55-56)
34 Therefore, whosoever repenteth, and hardeneth not his heart, he shall have claim on mercy through mine Only Begotten Son, unto a remission of his sins; and these shall enter into My [YHWH] rest. 35 And whosoever will harden his heart and will do iniquity, behold, I [YHWH] swear in My [YHWH] wrath that he [wicked] shall not enter into My [YHWH] rest.

Alma (LDS 13:6) (RLDS 9:70-71) And thus being called by this holy calling , and ordained unto the high [Melchizedek] priesthood of the holy order of God [Elohim], to teach His [YHWH] commandments unto the children of men, that they also might enter into His [YHWH] rest-

Alma (LDS 13:12) (RLDS 10:4-5) Now they, after being sanctified [baptized] by the Holy Ghost [Torah], having their garments made white, being pure and spotless before God [Elohim], could not look upon sin save it were with abhorrence; and there were many, exceedingly great many, who were made pure and entered into the rest of the Lord [YHWH] their God [Eloheinu].

Alma (LDS 13:29) (RLDS 10:28-29) Having faith [trust and diligence] on the Lord [YHWH]; having a hope that ye shall receive eternal life; having the love of God [Elohim] always in your hearts, that ye may be lifted up at the last day and enter into His [YHWH] rest.

Alma (LDS 60:13) (RLDS 27:29) For the Lord [YHWH] suffereth the righteous to be slain that His [YHWH] justice and judgment may come upon the wicked; therefore ye need not suppose that the righteous are lost because they are slain; but behold, they do enter into the rest of the Lord [YHWH] their God [Eloheinu].

D&C (LDS 84:24) (LDS 83) (1835 4) (1844 4) But they hardened their hearts and could not endure His [YHWH] presence; therefore, the Lord [YHWH] in His [YHWH] wrath [anger], for His [YHWH] anger was kindled against them [wicked], swore that they [wicked] should not enter into His [YHWH] rest while in the wilderness, which rest is the fulness of His [YHWH] glory.

Lectures on Faith 6:5 For a man to lay down his all, his character and reputation, his honor and applause, his good name among men, his houses, his lands, his brothers and sisters, his wife and children, and even his own life also, counting all things but filth and dross for the excellency of the knowledge of Jesus [Yeshua] Christ [Messiah], requires more than mere belief, or supposition that he is doing the will [Torah] of God [Elohim], but actual knowledge: realizing, that when these sufferings are ended he will enter into eternal rest; and be a partaker of the glory of God [Elohim].

Exodus 33:14 And He [YHWH] said, My [YHWH] presence shall go with thee, and I [YHWH] will give thee rest.

Joshua 1:13 Remember the word which Moses the servant of the Lord [YHWH] commanded you, saying, The Lord [YHWH] your God [Eloheinu] hath given you rest, and hath given you this land.

Joshua 1:15 Until the Lord [YHWH] have given your brethren rest, as He [YHWH] hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which the Lord [YHWH] your God [Eloheinu] giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the Lord’s [YHWH’s] servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising.

Joshua 21:44 And the Lord [YHWH] gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the Lord [YHWH] delivered all their enemies into their hand.

Joshua 22:4 And now the Lord [YHWH] your God [Eloheinu] hath given rest unto your brethren, as He [YHWH] promised them: therefore now return ye, and get you unto your tents [Torah], and unto the land of your possession [Heaven], which Moses the servant of the Lord [YHWH] gave you on the other side Jordan.

Joshua 23:1 And it came to pass a long time after that the Lord [YHWH] had given rest unto Israel from all their enemies round about, that Joshua waxed old and stricken in age.

2 Samuel 7:1 And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the Lord [YHWH] had given him rest round about from all his enemies;

1 Kings 5:4 But now the Lord [YHWH] my God [Eloheinu] hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.

1 Kings 8:56 Blessed be the Lord [YHWH], that hath given rest unto His [YHWH] people Israel, according to all that He [YHWH] promised: there hath not failed one word of all His [YHWH] good promise, which He [YHWH] promised by the hand of Moses His [YHWH] servant.

1 Chronicles 22:9 Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I [YHWH] will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.

Hebrews 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into His [YHWH] rest, any of you should seem to come short of it [not sancitified].

Alma (LDS 37:34) (RLDS 17:67) Teach them to never be weary of good works, but to be meek [righteous] and lowly in heart; for such shall find rest to their souls.

Alma (LDS 57:36) (RLDS 26:116-117) Now it came to pass that when I, Helaman, had heard these words of Gid, I was filled with exceeding joy because of the goodness [Torah] of God [Elohim] in preserving us, that we might not all perish; yea, and I trust that the souls of them who have been slain have entered into the rest of their God [Elohim].

Moroni (LDS 7:3) (RLDS 7:3) Wherefore, I would speak unto you that are of the church, that are the peaceable followers of Christ [Messiah], and that have obtained a sufficient hope by which ye can enter into the rest of the Lord [YHWH], from this time henceforth until ye shall rest with Him [YHWH] in heaven.
