Summary:
If you believe when Joseph Smith received the gold plates was during Feast of Trumpets, starting the day at sunset and using the first visible crescent of the moon does not work with the calendar. Yeshua’s whipping in the temple during His mortal ministry is according to Torah.

00:00:02 all right so uh with today being Feast
00:00:05 of trumpets and and that’s when John
00:00:09 Smith received the gold plates I thought
00:00:11 it’d be nice to show some of my research
00:00:13 on that with regarding the calendar
00:00:17 so
00:00:19 um
00:00:20 can you guys hear me with the mic down
00:00:22 so I don’t have to hold it
00:00:24 yes sir yeah okay that’s good because
00:00:27 it’s kind of awkward to try to do my
00:00:28 thing and hold that at the same time
00:00:32 um
00:00:33 okay so here we’re gonna go here
00:00:36 uh so Joseph Smith receives the gold
00:00:39 plates on Saturday September 22nd
00:00:42 1827. in fact actually let me
00:00:47 um get something else so
00:00:50 I I’ve written some programs
00:00:53 and one of my programs I’ve written for
00:00:55 the calendar before I wrote my GUI one
00:00:57 which is now on the Android store I
00:01:01 wrote one that just wrote
00:01:05 um
00:01:06 holiday High holidays to a cc CSV file
00:01:10 in fact that’s how come it’s on my
00:01:12 website because I took that CSV file and
00:01:15 HTML dice it
00:01:20 um anyways uh I know that sounds funny
00:01:24 but
00:01:25 um I just I’ve used something else to
00:01:27 turn CSV into HTML
00:01:30 um but I’m going
00:01:33 to go
00:01:35 to
00:01:38 and output of a app that I wrote put in
00:01:43 CSV
00:01:45 and so
00:01:47 and I have it 1827.
00:01:51 okay so we’re going to look at two
00:01:52 different ones okay
00:01:54 first we’re going to look at sunrising
00:01:56 which is what I believe the calendar is
00:02:01 but we’re going to look at a couple
00:02:02 things
00:02:07 and that one
00:02:11 um okay
00:02:12 actually maybe on this side okay
00:02:21 okay
00:02:25 all right so
00:02:27 um
00:02:30 New Moon time okay so this is I just
00:02:34 have this here so that we can see it
00:02:36 happens Before Sunrise
00:02:38 so Sunrise was at 708
00:02:42 and then so then
00:02:45 the the next day Sunrise happened to be
00:02:47 708 also
00:02:49 um now
00:02:52 um it’s interesting right it would seem
00:02:55 like
00:02:56 it didn’t happen on the 22nd right
00:02:59 because it Joseph Smith caught the
00:03:02 plates on the 22nd
00:03:04 now this is where and he got him at
00:03:06 night right
00:03:09 but he got them
00:03:12 right after the 21st
00:03:16 so he’s got it before the sunrise of 27.
00:03:21 so it fits right in that day
00:03:24 um yeah
00:03:25 so now in this event and I’ve looked at
00:03:29 this at various events but on this event
00:03:32 um
00:03:34 it barely fits Jerusalem you see that
00:03:38 um
00:03:39 no actually no no I’m wrong it
00:03:42 so I’m a little confused it’s been a
00:03:44 little while it it doesn’t fit Jerusalem
00:03:47 foreign
00:03:48 you can’t use Jerusalem time
00:03:50 because if he got it at midnight like
00:03:54 like 1205 right right yeah or zero zero
00:03:59 five
00:04:00 this is an example where you don’t have
00:04:03 to go by Jerusalem
00:04:05 that is if you believe the restoration
00:04:07 Traditions which most of us here do
00:04:11 um but Thomas
00:04:15 um
00:04:15 he doesn’t have a problem with it going
00:04:18 at different locations but anyways you
00:04:21 can’t go by Jerusalem
00:04:22 yeah morning anyway Sunrise which is
00:04:25 what I do believe is should be used okay
00:04:28 so uh yeah let me get another file
00:04:36 let’s get this one
00:04:39 stop sharing
00:04:43 um
00:04:48 sunseted
00:04:49 so this is sunset which
00:04:53 um sadly even
00:04:56 in the restoration tradition this is
00:04:58 where most people use
00:05:01 I believe it’s wrong if nothing else
00:05:04 just look at the Book of Mormon post on
00:05:06 it right
00:05:07 Book of Mormon States mourning but so
00:05:10 does the bible but anyways yeah people
00:05:12 like their Orthodox Pharisees
00:05:17 so
00:05:18 here if
00:05:21 we go by sunseted
00:05:25 uh going by Independence still fits okay
00:05:28 uh-huh
00:05:30 going by Jerusalem fits
00:05:33 so actually if it’s Sunset it still fits
00:05:37 in fact to some degree if you think you
00:05:41 have to go by Jerusalem it still fits
00:05:43 right
00:05:45 right
00:05:46 um now here
00:05:48 is an interesting little tidbit okay so
00:05:51 but that’s dark conjunction okay yes
00:05:55 most people actually
00:05:58 go by
00:06:01 first visible Crescent right yes or
00:06:05 sliver yeah now here’s an interesting
00:06:08 little
00:06:09 gotcha that they don’t do okay let me go
00:06:12 I forget the number of hours hold on let
00:06:15 me I’m looking at this is the code for
00:06:18 my program or part of it anyways
00:06:21 [Music]
00:06:23 okay so
00:06:26 if you go by visible Crescent not
00:06:29 necessarily that it was visible for you
00:06:30 okay
00:06:41 [Music]
00:06:42 you guys hear feedback
00:06:47 hold on let me
00:06:51 uh I don’t hear feedback anymore I think
00:06:53 it’s gone
00:06:55 all right it’s it’s in and out it’s in
00:06:57 and out okay well okay so
00:07:02 I I’ve looked this up and I have the
00:07:04 link for it right I have two links
00:07:06 actually for this stuff but the shortest
00:07:09 amount of time that anybody’s been able
00:07:11 to visually spot with the naked eye
00:07:16 um a crescent on the moon is 15 hours
00:07:20 and 32 minutes
00:07:22 wow
00:07:23 so but that’s actually a lot of time
00:07:25 when you consider
00:07:28 the percentage of the cycle of the moon
00:07:30 that’s actually quite a bit of time and
00:07:32 that’s that’s two-thirds of a day right
00:07:36 yes no another interesting tidbit we
00:07:40 don’t need this for what I’m going to
00:07:42 show but I’m just going to bring this
00:07:44 out anyways
00:07:45 the the lunar cycle actually ranges from
00:07:48 about 29.2 to 29.9 days it’s not a
00:07:54 constant 29 and a half like a lot of
00:07:56 programs and calendars make it out to be
00:07:59 okay it varies from 29.2 and 29.9
00:08:05 when this
00:08:07 uh
00:08:08 visible Crescent was spotted this 15
00:08:13 hours and 32 minutes was actually around
00:08:17 a lunar cycle that was about 29.2 okay
00:08:21 so it was one of the shortest cycles
00:08:23 that there is
00:08:24 so on some moon cycles when the lunar
00:08:28 cycle is longer it would take more hours
00:08:31 to catch it in fact I think part of the
00:08:34 reason this is one of the this is the
00:08:36 best on record is because it was one of
00:08:39 the shorter Cycles meaning the Crescent
00:08:41 grows faster does that make sense yeah
00:08:45 okay all right so
00:08:47 so the shortest that everybody has ever
00:08:50 seen on the shortest lunar cycle is 15
00:08:55 hours 32 minutes okay now let’s go back
00:08:59 to this
00:09:00 um
00:09:04 uh Excel sheet if I can
00:09:08 find my buttons and the right one
00:09:13 okay so a lot of people in the
00:09:17 restoration who are kind of Hebrew
00:09:19 rooters or you know
00:09:20 trying to keep these things and still
00:09:23 believe in the Book of Mormon they go by
00:09:26 evening to evening and they go first
00:09:29 visible Crescent okay now
00:09:34 there I just noticed the Crescent was 15
00:09:37 and 30 15 hours and 32 minutes now
00:09:39 visible
00:09:41 Crescent can be longer
00:09:43 because depending where that Crescent is
00:09:45 and where the Moon is angled with the
00:09:47 Moon
00:09:48 you won’t see it then it could be later
00:09:51 right
00:09:53 yeah right right but I don’t need later
00:09:56 so let’s go over here back to my Excel
00:09:59 sheet
00:10:01 um
00:10:03 uh oh here we go trumpets right here’s
00:10:05 the one that we care about I’m gonna
00:10:07 highlight it
00:10:08 I’m going to highlight these two
00:10:11 uh a whole highlight
00:10:15 if you add
00:10:18 um 15 hours and 32 minutes
00:10:21 did that Sunset happen in time
00:10:24 yeah no no no it didn’t
00:10:29 and it
00:10:31 does it happen so if you go off to
00:10:33 Jerusalem it makes it Miss if you do it
00:10:37 off of Independence it also makes it
00:10:39 Miss
00:10:40 nope
00:10:42 so
00:10:44 if you believe the Book of Mormon was
00:10:47 gotten on trumpets you can’t go by dark
00:10:51 conjunction
00:10:52 I mean you can go buy dark conjunction
00:10:54 and evening but you can’t go by
00:10:57 uh first visible Crescent and evening
00:11:01 because if you go do the math for when
00:11:06 the moon was and when the first visible
00:11:08 Crescent would be which I don’t have
00:11:10 that but I do have how long it takes for
00:11:13 a visit for a visible for a crescent to
00:11:15 appear whether if it was visible at that
00:11:18 location or not that has a lot of
00:11:20 complications
00:11:22 and I can get in that in a minute right
00:11:24 now but we’ll just say it was visible
00:11:27 when the Crescent was there
00:11:31 um it wouldn’t have made it to make it
00:11:33 so Joseph Smith got the Book of Mormon
00:11:35 on Trump day of trumpets
00:11:38 yeah
00:11:40 yeah that makes sense
00:11:43 um and so I want to do a post on this
00:11:45 because there’s other times in in the
00:11:48 Restoration History that actually makes
00:11:49 it have to be morning but it’s not
00:11:51 trumpets it’s it’s not when you get the
00:11:54 Book of Mormon though so but I wanted to
00:11:56 show that because that’s
00:11:58 is an interesting little calendar
00:12:00 research that goes with when the Book of
00:12:03 Mormon was received
00:12:05 and the thing I like about it it shows
00:12:09 it can’t be evening and first visible
00:12:12 Crescent which is what most people do
00:12:15 yeah even Within
00:12:17 People Like Us that are waking up to
00:12:19 Torah right yeah
00:12:22 and so they’ll believe that event
00:12:27 but when you go Sean
00:12:30 if you show them this math it’s not
00:12:32 coming out very well
00:12:34 but anyways this math that we just did
00:12:37 together shows how they’re keeping the
00:12:40 calendar
00:12:41 wouldn’t allow the Book of Mormon to
00:12:43 happen on day of trumpets that’s right
00:12:46 yep
00:12:48 so and I think that’s a big deal
00:12:52 yeah it is it’s a
00:12:56 Feast of trumpets has been when a lot of
00:13:00 the uh
00:13:03 a lot of the major things that prepared
00:13:05 the world for the second coming of the
00:13:06 Lord have happened
00:13:08 yeah yeah well that’s what that day is
00:13:12 all about
00:13:14 yeah
00:13:15 so but anyways there’s that little thing
00:13:19 on the calendar and feast of trumpets
00:13:22 and receiving of the Book of Mormon now
00:13:25 I don’t know exactly when he received it
00:13:29 but it was sometime after midnight
00:13:32 um which would be before in my opinion
00:13:35 Before Sunrise so I think
00:13:37 um but the other Excel sheet with the
00:13:40 sunrise sell sheet Excel sheet it shows
00:13:43 it it fits just fine
00:13:46 right because I if
00:13:49 Sunrise is about six hours later right
00:13:51 give or take I wouldn’t say that’s near
00:13:55 um midnight which is what’s in the
00:13:57 records of that event
00:13:59 because they don’t they don’t give the
00:14:01 exact time but I I think I have enough
00:14:04 leeway to go off of
00:14:08 [Music]
00:14:10 yeah
00:14:12 so anyways that’s on that
00:14:15 um that makes sense
00:14:16 yeah the the April 6th one when the
00:14:20 church was organized shows it has to be
00:14:22 morning and but that I’m not going to go
00:14:24 over that one right now
00:14:26 um
00:14:27 but just keep that in mind it shows
00:14:29 Mourning
00:14:31 because you can’t get it to work on
00:14:34 anything and in the evening
00:14:36 on any math
00:14:40 so but anyways uh I can do this because
00:14:42 I’ve I’ve went and implemented the math
00:14:48 you did all the you did all the sheets
00:14:50 you did all the work yeah well it the
00:14:53 sheets was uh output from programs using
00:14:56 the math but
00:14:59 um the interesting thing is you can’t
00:15:01 just most places use math of 29 and a
00:15:05 half days for the moon and then they go
00:15:07 off of one in January and two thousand
00:15:10 but that doesn’t that’s not accurate
00:15:13 that’ll get you off a day or two
00:15:16 um at times where I’m using the most
00:15:18 accurate 29.2 to 29.9 and there’s a guy
00:15:24 that’s really into the math calculations
00:15:26 for the moon also and I’m pretty close
00:15:30 to him all the time
00:15:31 I went and looked at a couple of them
00:15:33 were not exactly the same but we’re
00:15:36 pretty dang close with probably within
00:15:38 an hour of each other every single time
00:15:40 I’ve checked
00:15:43 yeah so yeah so it’s really interesting
00:15:47 you know these um
00:15:49 these first sliver people are saying
00:15:52 that the Feast of trumpets doesn’t start
00:15:54 until tomorrow
00:15:56 the the Hillel no till tomorrow
00:16:00 and then you have the uh Hillel second
00:16:03 calendar people saying that it’s
00:16:05 yesterday yesterday which I don’t know
00:16:07 how they get that one other than it’s
00:16:09 just pre-calculated yeah it’s
00:16:11 pre-calculated yeah I know it is
00:16:14 because in fact the hello two guys they
00:16:18 think they’re major lunar cycle is 19
00:16:21 years when it’s actually 18 and 18.6
00:16:24 years right
00:16:27 um but anyways but yeah so I was uh yeah
00:16:30 so
00:16:31 oh yeah so that’s uh
00:16:34 so today yeah so it’s really interesting
00:16:38 seeing how
00:16:40 on the one hand
00:16:42 totally doing the lunar cycle out of it
00:16:45 screws things up
00:16:49 and then on the other hand
00:16:51 using the wrong section
00:16:55 they’ll screw using the wrong lunar
00:16:58 cycle and screw it up the other way yeah
00:17:00 and on top of that here’s an interesting
00:17:02 thing about the first visible Crescent
00:17:05 so I I know this because I I I tried to
00:17:10 get it to work without
00:17:12 implementing this stuff but I also know
00:17:14 what the the rules are for that
00:17:17 um Orthodox Pharisee tradition
00:17:19 so here’s the com the problem they know
00:17:23 that sometimes the moon won’t be visible
00:17:27 have your first visible Crescent within
00:17:29 30 days
00:17:31 and so they have this rule if it doesn’t
00:17:34 show up
00:17:36 after 30 days you just pretend it shows
00:17:39 up
00:17:43 no I’m serious go look it up
00:17:46 that’s gross
00:17:47 so they say it has to be first physical
00:17:50 Crescent except when it’s not
00:17:52 yeah except when I know it’s not which
00:17:55 is funny they have this exception but my
00:17:57 big thing is that’s nowhere in Torah no
00:18:00 one Torah does it state that
00:18:02 um well if you don’t see it after 30
00:18:04 days uh then you just say it just
00:18:08 pretend it appears it’s kind of
00:18:12 funny that some of the rules that to go
00:18:17 tell the rabbis that it’s happened
00:18:19 actually shows that it’s not valid too
00:18:21 because if you have they talk about how
00:18:23 there’s exceptions for walking and
00:18:25 that’s a whole nother issue but if you
00:18:27 had to go walk that far to go tell the
00:18:29 rabbis that you saw the new moon it’s
00:18:31 it’d be too late to tell him that was
00:18:32 the new moon to do all the other
00:18:35 um things off of
00:18:37 um but the
00:18:40 the first visible Crescent has problems
00:18:44 that sometimes it’ll take
00:18:47 31 days it’ll make the lunar cycle 31
00:18:50 days and I believe
00:18:53 that the rabbis knew you couldn’t have
00:18:55 that because they knew the history in
00:18:57 Genesis that shows Noah’s months or
00:19:01 Moons for 30 days
00:19:03 yeah because it talks about how he was
00:19:05 on the boat 150 days and and another way
00:19:09 another time it says five moons or
00:19:11 months that means every
00:19:14 moon was 30 days before 700 BC right but
00:19:19 anyways
00:19:21 but yeah the the first visible Crescent
00:19:23 it causes complications for my program
00:19:26 and I haven’t implemented that yet I
00:19:29 have implemented
00:19:31 Crescent visit or you know first
00:19:34 Crescent or whatever you want to call it
00:19:35 nobody does this because you can’t see
00:19:36 it so why would anybody do it but I just
00:19:38 I’m putting in the program because it’s
00:19:41 easy
00:19:42 and oh it’s just if anybody saw the
00:19:45 Crescent somewhere with or possible to
00:19:47 see within the world then it it counts
00:19:50 it
00:19:51 but first visible question is when you
00:19:52 have to see it in your location and that
00:19:55 causes problems
00:19:57 and when you go look at the the talmud
00:19:59 they acknowledge that and they even said
00:20:00 well if it’s past 30 days you just
00:20:02 pretend you saw it
00:20:05 well that’s not how they say it right
00:20:08 yeah yay it’s here
00:20:12 but it yeah anyways it’s problems like
00:20:17 this it just it just if anything to me
00:20:20 it confirms that it’s not first physical
00:20:22 Crescent now I will admit when I first
00:20:25 started keeping lunar Sabbath I thought
00:20:29 it was first visible Crescent because if
00:20:31 you don’t know any better
00:20:33 it sounds nice right
00:20:36 yeah well it kind of makes sense but it
00:20:39 doesn’t really make sense when you start
00:20:40 really digging deep into it right yeah
00:20:43 like the the you if you don’t see it you
00:20:46 just pretend you see it
00:20:48 and that’s not easy to do in code
00:20:54 yeah you can’t you can’t make that work
00:20:56 well so here’s the issue going forward
00:21:00 that’s easy to do but when I have it so
00:21:03 you can go select when you like what
00:21:06 year it is or how do you know where the
00:21:07 starting point is
00:21:09 that’s the problem in the code is
00:21:12 picking any starting point because then
00:21:13 I have to go backwards to to figure out
00:21:16 if whether if I need to start it sooner
00:21:18 because the moon couldn’t be that long
00:21:20 does that make sense yes it’s the making
00:21:23 it
00:21:24 um
00:21:25 consistent and predictable
00:21:27 that with that rule that makes it
00:21:30 complicated
00:21:31 um
00:21:33 where when I have uh
00:21:35 an exact phase to go off of no matter if
00:21:38 it was you could see it or not it’s easy
00:21:40 because it’s
00:21:42 face to face whether if it’s dark
00:21:44 conjunction like I believe it should be
00:21:46 or full moon that some people think it’s
00:21:49 the same point of the moon so it’s
00:21:51 always between the 29.2 and 29.9 so
00:21:54 there’s no problems it’s just when you
00:21:56 have to see it it starts throwing in
00:21:58 those complications
00:22:01 yes
00:22:04 so
00:22:05 anyways
00:22:08 a lot of calendar issues you probably
00:22:11 never wanted to hear about
00:22:13 no I mean it’s important to know about
00:22:16 them though
00:22:18 yeah the fact that we’ll all be uh
00:22:23 well as soon enough soon enough
00:22:26 everybody’s going to be paying telling
00:22:29 time by the moon and sun again anyway
00:22:31 well I I do believe that’s going to be
00:22:33 happening during the Millennium
00:22:36 um I don’t know when that’s going to be
00:22:38 though but I do believe it’s going to be
00:22:40 in my lifetime
00:22:42 yeah yeah
00:22:44 so I’m just a little ahead of the curve
00:22:46 on this one just
00:22:48 jump out in front right yeah
00:22:52 well I’ve been doing it for a few years
00:22:55 now
00:22:57 um
00:22:57 I I can’t remember if I started in 2014
00:22:59 or 2015 but it was somewhere around
00:23:01 there when I
00:23:03 learned about it and started doing it
00:23:06 yeah
00:23:08 I’ve been called a lunatic a lot because
00:23:10 of it
00:23:12 oh yeah Halloween at the Moon there you
00:23:15 go yeah and I’ve been told it’s Pagan
00:23:18 because the pagans do things with the
00:23:20 moon but then I remind them but your
00:23:22 your yearly holidays that God says are
00:23:25 by the moon how are you not uh Pagan for
00:23:28 doing it
00:23:31 yeah oh I bet they don’t like that at
00:23:34 all oh no they don’t
00:23:36 um but or Genesis 1 14 and 16. all the
00:23:41 appointed times but anyways
00:23:43 um
00:23:47 so I don’t know if you want to say
00:23:48 anything on that or anything about
00:23:50 trumpets
00:23:52 um I mean I I had my level earlier one
00:23:55 of the things one of the things that
00:23:57 most excites and one of the that’s that
00:24:00 verse is one of the things that gets
00:24:02 people most excited to hear about the
00:24:04 lunar Sabbath
00:24:05 when I when I start talking about it is
00:24:10 Genesis chapter 1 verse 14.
00:24:13 yeah here let’s get it up
00:24:16 since you’re bringing that up
00:24:19 um I’m just trying to figure out how to
00:24:22 trying to just figure out how to keep my
00:24:24 lungs inside my body here yeah that
00:24:27 would be a good thing to do
00:24:29 yeah they say they work better there so
00:24:37 um so I I have long program problems
00:24:40 also sometimes worse than others but I
00:24:42 I’ve seen doctors and they’ve asked did
00:24:44 you smoke and I’m like no never
00:24:48 so
00:24:50 um
00:24:50 I actually want to change this last part
00:24:52 a little bit
00:24:54 but anyways you’ve probably seen how I
00:24:58 um changed this a little bit right oh
00:25:00 yeah yeah the lights uh the Sun and the
00:25:03 Moon seasons moadim for days and for
00:25:08 years
00:25:09 yep which I mean oh wait we’re not
00:25:12 supposed to use plants
00:25:16 oh my word because a lot of people think
00:25:20 this says lights AKA
00:25:24 yep and then Genesis 6 1 16 two great
00:25:29 lights
00:25:30 the Sun
00:25:32 and the moon nominate the day and the
00:25:34 Lester the Lesser light right so the so
00:25:39 some people will claim Dawn
00:25:42 for
00:25:44 um
00:25:45 for the start of the day because there’s
00:25:48 like uh
00:25:49 that’s when the Sun starts dominating
00:25:52 because
00:25:54 um Esther Monaco Dawn is when uh the
00:25:58 light and darkness are even okay yeah
00:26:02 and then after that that’s when you
00:26:05 start the sun dominates more and so
00:26:07 that’s why a lot of people will claim
00:26:10 astrological Dawn for the start of the
00:26:12 day
00:26:13 fact probably the most famous group for
00:26:16 the lunar Sabbath is World’s last chance
00:26:18 and that’s what they claim
00:26:21 is Dawn because of that
00:26:24 but the funny thing is
00:26:27 you can see the moon during the day
00:26:29 right
00:26:30 yes does that mean the sun’s not
00:26:33 dominating
00:26:34 no yeah same argument for night
00:26:38 [Music]
00:26:40 um anyways
00:26:41 they just they don’t think about that
00:26:44 right but because just because you can
00:26:47 see the the moon during the day doesn’t
00:26:49 mean the sun’s not dominating it that’s
00:26:52 why I have dominate off to the side to
00:26:54 rule and it’s the actual same Hebrew
00:26:56 word behind it it’s this rule is one
00:26:58 translation dominate I think is a better
00:27:00 translation
00:27:02 yeah and one thing and then at this end
00:27:05 of this he made the Stars also
00:27:07 so right now what I have is Stars rule
00:27:10 nothing they do not t but they do teach
00:27:13 the gospel see the mazara
00:27:15 um one thing I I probably want to change
00:27:17 to or add here is
00:27:20 um it never mentions the stars as a
00:27:24 light
00:27:25 see the greater light and the Lesser
00:27:28 light
00:27:29 and never
00:27:30 staged the stars is a light I mean they
00:27:33 are lights but kind of uh but not really
00:27:37 right even in teaching uh modal in the
00:27:42 modals of teaching when they use stars
00:27:44 there are stars of greater or lesser
00:27:48 degrees
00:27:49 oh sure and their brightness yeah yeah
00:27:52 and their brightness
00:27:54 um so that right there to me tells me
00:27:58 that uh
00:28:01 excuse me tells me that basically yeah
00:28:07 they aren’t really used for designations
00:28:10 of light
00:28:12 for well what happens when the moon goes
00:28:15 down and all you’ve got are the stars
00:28:19 you know you don’t have much light no
00:28:23 the the light you get at night is brief
00:28:25 of reflection of the sunlight from the
00:28:28 Moon
00:28:28 yeah yeah
00:28:30 you you don’t get it from the Stars
00:28:33 they’re not there for to see but they
00:28:36 don’t reflect the flight for you to be
00:28:38 able to do anything
00:28:39 that’s why on the new mood that’s why on
00:28:42 the new moon night
00:28:46 [Music]
00:28:47 it’s dark yeah
00:28:50 because it’s really dark it was pretty
00:28:52 dark last night I’ll tell you
00:28:55 yeah
00:28:57 um
00:28:58 also another interesting point just on
00:29:01 this issue of the stars is the tropical
00:29:04 year which we keep
00:29:06 um in the whole world today at least
00:29:08 that I know of
00:29:10 it’s shorter than the side rail route
00:29:12 year and the side rail rear ear is based
00:29:16 off of the Stars
00:29:19 it’s about it’s around 20 to 30 minutes
00:29:23 I don’t remember right now I can go find
00:29:26 out I have it though foreign
00:29:32 [Music]
00:29:38 20 minutes and 24 and a half seconds
00:29:42 longer than the tropical
00:29:45 and so and
00:29:46 it takes a lot of time for you to start
00:29:49 seeing that
00:29:51 um they’re different that the Stars will
00:29:53 be different and you can’t you know set
00:29:56 off offset your seasons
00:29:59 yeah and as second Witnesses in the
00:30:02 Tanakh that the Tanakh brings out the
00:30:06 seasons that the different High holidays
00:30:08 are in and if you go off the side real
00:30:11 year
00:30:13 you won’t get that because it’s off from
00:30:16 the tropical violence a year or two it
00:30:20 makes no big difference right but after
00:30:22 110
00:30:23 a hundred a thousand two thousand years
00:30:26 it’s completely different yeah yeah
00:30:30 yeah it doesn’t match it’s not the same
00:30:34 season it’s not the same not even the
00:30:36 same seasons yeah I I one time thought
00:30:38 to use the Stars
00:30:42 um
00:30:43 but then I started looking into the
00:30:45 details and no you you can’t because
00:30:48 you’re different
00:30:51 and some people think that’s just some
00:30:53 myth but actually there’s records back
00:30:55 from Babylon that shows that
00:30:58 yeah
00:31:01 um
00:31:02 yeah anyways
00:31:05 so they’re they’re not used for the year
00:31:07 like some some people claim
00:31:11 um yeah I would I yeah it doesn’t seem
00:31:14 like a Fairly reliable like a very
00:31:16 reliable way to figure it out and then
00:31:19 even if even if they were how do you do
00:31:22 it right right yeah now there is
00:31:28 a lunar sabitarian that he uses the
00:31:30 stars and he’s a full mooner
00:31:33 and he actually has a really big
00:31:34 following
00:31:36 but I’ve watched a couple of his videos
00:31:38 I don’t understand how he does it
00:31:43 in fact I don’t understand how you can
00:31:46 do full moon even
00:31:48 without computers
00:31:50 because if you watch the Moon
00:31:53 you could have three days in a row
00:31:56 that the Moon looks exactly the same
00:31:59 right and it’s because our eyes can’t
00:32:02 detect
00:32:03 those differences
00:32:05 and that’s why it takes 15 and a half
00:32:07 hours to detect the first sliver it’s
00:32:10 not because it’s not there that’s just
00:32:12 because when that’s when our eyes can
00:32:13 notice it
00:32:15 yeah all right guys can’t notice those
00:32:18 differences to that degree
00:32:23 yes which is a one of my big statements
00:32:26 for why full moon can’t be it because
00:32:28 you
00:32:30 I could show someone three days in a row
00:32:32 and they can’t tell me which one it is
00:32:35 they need computers we’re on the dark
00:32:37 one you don’t need computers and I have
00:32:40 resources on my new moon page that shows
00:32:42 that
00:32:44 yeah you you pretty much know when
00:32:47 there’s no moon
00:32:49 well there’s that but I I mean
00:32:53 yeah I mean that’s pretty obvious that’s
00:32:56 I I’ll just leave it with that because
00:32:57 that’s just simply said
00:32:58 [Laughter]
00:33:03 I was going to get into some technicals
00:33:05 but I mean let’s let’s just leave it at
00:33:07 the simple you can tell I am I
00:33:12 I am the sage of simplicity
00:33:19 [Music]
00:33:25 okay well anyways
00:33:28 um so
00:33:30 I if you guys want
00:33:34 we could talk about the the whipping
00:33:36 because I thought about that some and I
00:33:38 did a little looking oh yeah yeah
00:33:42 um
00:33:42 or we could talk about your inspiration
00:33:45 thing or we could do the whipping uh
00:33:49 let’s talk about the whipping
00:33:51 I’m about to wind down here so
00:33:54 uh okay so we’ll see how long we can go
00:33:58 with the whipping then but first thing
00:34:01 I did I actually started thinking about
00:34:03 it in my head while I was doing uh tours
00:34:06 around the house and whatnot okay so
00:34:09 this is interesting
00:34:14 whipped at the temple right yeah
00:34:18 sure was whipped
00:34:21 by the Romans and the Pharisees
00:34:24 yes
00:34:27 Hua
00:34:30 was put on a cross
00:34:32 okay
00:34:34 now here’s a question for you that um
00:34:36 first we should get into what do you
00:34:38 believe the statement from the
00:34:40 scriptures to carry your cross or bury
00:34:43 your cross means
00:34:47 it’s
00:34:53 well I
00:35:00 don’t know well I mean there’s a
00:35:02 scripture that states exactly what it
00:35:04 means but uh I don’t remember exactly
00:35:07 where it is
00:35:09 okay what do you think
00:35:10 um that scripture what do you think it
00:35:12 states
00:35:13 I think it’s just oh it’s a Joseph Smith
00:35:16 translation verse and I can’t but I
00:35:18 can’t remember oh I didn’t know there
00:35:20 was I I don’t know my jsts as well as I
00:35:23 should
00:35:24 I didn’t know there was one of those but
00:35:26 anyways okay it’s where Christ basically
00:35:28 says bear up your uh take up your cross
00:35:31 and follow me and then it goes into
00:35:34 deeper detail it like literally States
00:35:37 and this is what this means this is what
00:35:40 to take up your cross means okay we’ll
00:35:42 have to see what it says but here’s what
00:35:45 I believe it means
00:35:47 pick up the Judgment of the world so
00:35:50 yeah Ross is the Judgment that the world
00:35:53 is going to give you just like Christ
00:35:55 was raised upon the cross
00:35:58 the Judgment of the world
00:36:00 so shall we
00:36:03 take the Judgment of the world as in
00:36:06 that’s another way of saying it is
00:36:08 endure to the ends
00:36:10 take up on your cross and endure to the
00:36:12 end is the exact same thing
00:36:14 the reason why things get hard when we
00:36:17 do Christ things is because of other
00:36:20 people it’s the other people who make it
00:36:22 that we have to endure because Christ’s
00:36:25 yeshua’s ways are easy
00:36:28 the problem is
00:36:30 it’s the other people
00:36:33 that make it so it’s not easy to either
00:36:36 because they’re
00:36:37 doing stuff to us or they’re mocking us
00:36:40 or they’re putting us a prison or
00:36:42 putting us on a cross
00:36:45 and it’s interesting to me
00:36:48 that the Hebrew writer letter
00:36:52 in the picture graphic one
00:36:56 that’s a cross is the Tau
00:36:59 it looks like a cross
00:37:01 yeah it stands for judgment
00:37:06 no yeah that actually really
00:37:11 okay but isn’t it the Judgment or or own
00:37:16 responsibility
00:37:18 as you need the judgment on us
00:37:24 the Judgment of the world on us
00:37:28 no no no no no no no no no he’s not the
00:37:31 Judgment of the world on us it’s a
00:37:34 judgment of God the Judgment of Yahoo on
00:37:37 each one of us
00:37:44 be responsible for what you have done
00:37:48 and for what you will do
00:37:51 and follow me brilliant Christ says that
00:37:54 he’s saying it to the Believers and yeah
00:37:58 of course the Believers are forgiven of
00:38:01 our mistakes
00:38:04 one thing is forgiveness but if why
00:38:08 would you need to be forgiven if there’s
00:38:09 no judgment against you
00:38:14 um well that’s the Judgment Day I hope
00:38:17 there is no judgment against you no no
00:38:18 that’s not the Judgment Day
00:38:21 which which it is but we are being
00:38:24 judged every day we Believers True
00:38:27 Believers
00:38:29 for each thing we do and it’s thing we
00:38:31 don’t do
00:38:32 Well everybody’s being judged every
00:38:34 single day not everybody not everybody
00:38:38 yeah everybody
00:38:40 yeah we disagree in that do you have a
00:38:43 verse that shows otherwise
00:38:47 I haven’t seen a bird here in in many
00:38:52 different opinions though I could find
00:38:55 it for you because the people the the
00:38:58 only people that Jesus that jerusha was
00:39:01 talking to was the ones that are called
00:39:04 by yahuwah
00:39:06 not the the other genitals he calls
00:39:09 among the gentles and they listen but
00:39:12 not all of them he’s not calling all of
00:39:15 them he’s not calling the whole Humanity
00:39:17 right now
00:39:19 so those people are not judged right now
00:39:23 uh I don’t know I can look out in the
00:39:25 world and see a lot of judgment going on
00:39:28 um
00:39:29 that’s a whole way to look a thing but
00:39:32 there’s there’s one of the ways to be
00:39:34 fooled about it
00:39:38 um I guess we’ll just have to agree to
00:39:40 disagree
00:39:41 um that’s right
00:39:43 so anyways though I believe taking up
00:39:46 your taking up your cross or bearing
00:39:49 your cross
00:39:50 is suffering the Judgment of the world
00:39:54 um because as we
00:39:56 follow Christ the world will judge us
00:40:01 uh and to me it’s just another way of
00:40:04 saying enduring to the end
00:40:06 um so back to uh the example is going
00:40:10 off
00:40:12 Christ whipped
00:40:14 money changers at the temple
00:40:17 yeah they then
00:40:20 did not bear up their cross in fact they
00:40:23 did things because of the Romans were
00:40:25 judging them such as doing animal
00:40:27 sacrifices for the Romans in the temple
00:40:30 of unclean animals
00:40:32 instead of bearing their cross
00:40:36 they broke down and gave in to the world
00:40:39 Christ on the cross
00:40:43 because he endured it
00:40:46 was then lifted up
00:40:49 and he went to heaven where the Jews
00:40:52 because they did not bear their cross
00:40:55 their City was destroyed
00:40:58 that verse I found that scripture oh
00:41:02 okay
00:41:11 I have to get my Kindle app up
00:41:14 no you’re good
00:41:34 okay so which book
00:41:37 Matthew okay 16.
00:41:42 verses 25
00:41:44 through 29.
00:41:48 so jst 25
00:41:51 no jst 16. yeah I know but verse
00:41:56 it says 25-29 I’m looking at the LDS
00:42:00 library scriptures
00:42:08 25 because that sets up the idea okay
00:42:11 and then again to his disciples If any
00:42:15 man will come after me let him deny
00:42:17 himself and take up his cross and follow
00:42:20 me and now for a man to take up his
00:42:22 cross is to deny himself of on of all
00:42:26 ungodliness even the world we lust and
00:42:29 keep my Commandments break not my
00:42:31 Commandments for for you to save your
00:42:34 lives
00:42:35 so it’s not exactly what I’m saying
00:42:38 right and in fact in some ways it sounds
00:42:40 kind of different but to deny yourself
00:42:43 of ungodlys and worldly lusts and keep
00:42:46 my Commandments the world’s going to
00:42:47 judge you for that yeah but to deny
00:42:50 yourself of all ungodliness and every
00:42:52 world we lost and to keep my
00:42:54 Commandments this is a reference to the
00:42:57 fact
00:42:58 that
00:43:01 um
00:43:03 you know it’s uh take my yoke upon you
00:43:06 and learn of me his yoke is his
00:43:08 Commandments yeah
00:43:10 it’s the oak is law
00:43:13 uh is deny himself ungodliness every
00:43:16 world we lost to keep my Commandments
00:43:19 and break not my Commandments for it to
00:43:21 save your lives
00:43:22 so this is basically in a some way in
00:43:26 some ways same
00:43:27 is accepting the Judgment of the world
00:43:30 if you’re keeping if they’re judging you
00:43:33 for keeping the Commandments right right
00:43:36 that’s one just kind of say it’s
00:43:38 I think it’s the same thing just maybe a
00:43:41 different angle but maybe that’s me
00:43:42 trying to justify myself but I just yeah
00:43:45 and so in verse 29 therefore forsake the
00:43:48 world and save your souls for what is a
00:43:51 man profited if he shall gain the whole
00:43:54 world and lose his own soul or what
00:43:57 shall a man give in exchange for his
00:44:00 soul
00:44:04 he was like forsaking their judgment
00:44:07 right
00:44:09 um because we’re in the world what is
00:44:11 what he’s saying is it doesn’t matter
00:44:13 what the world says right right
00:44:18 so
00:44:20 take courage in any persecution that
00:44:24 comes your way basically I’m I’m trying
00:44:27 to approach it from a slightly brighter
00:44:29 perspective and in saying that yes the
00:44:33 world is going to judge you you’re
00:44:34 absolutely right the world’s going to
00:44:35 judge you for following your Lord and
00:44:37 Savior Jesus Christ following his
00:44:39 holidays following his feast days
00:44:41 following his Commandments doing all of
00:44:43 those things however if you keep his
00:44:47 Commandments and you don’t
00:44:51 give Merit to what the world thinks
00:44:55 then the world yeah the world’s judgment
00:44:58 doesn’t matter a damn it really doesn’t
00:45:01 and now for a man to take up his process
00:45:03 to deny himself all ungodliness and
00:45:06 every worldly lust and keep my
00:45:10 Commandments
00:45:11 that’s the biggest part of it
00:45:14 right you know it brings it back to
00:45:16 mosiah to a scripture mosiah chapter 3
00:45:20 verse 19.
00:45:22 the natural man is an enemy to God and
00:45:25 will be and has been from the fall of
00:45:27 Adam and will be forever and ever
00:45:29 uh
00:45:31 yeah
00:45:33 except he show
00:45:36 uh except he shall yield himself to the
00:45:39 entices of the Holy Spirit
00:45:42 but yeah so here we
00:45:45 go for the natural man is an enemy to
00:45:48 God and has been from the fall of Adam
00:45:49 and Wilson
00:45:52 tiesings to the Holy Spirit and put us
00:45:54 off the natural man and become at the
00:45:57 same through the atonement of Christ the
00:45:59 lord
00:46:00 and becometh as a child submissive Meek
00:46:04 humble patient full of love willing to
00:46:06 submit to all things which the Lord
00:46:08 seeth fit to inflict upon him even as a
00:46:10 child Desmond to his father and the only
00:46:13 thing that the Lord submits upon the
00:46:15 only thing that the Lord inflicts upon
00:46:16 us is is that the only thing that the
00:46:19 Lord
00:46:21 the only thing that the Lord inflicts
00:46:23 upon us is his law
00:46:28 um I
00:46:29 I don’t know if that’s completely true
00:46:31 because he sent prophets into places
00:46:33 where uh he knew that they wouldn’t be
00:46:35 accepted and things were going to happen
00:46:38 but that’s yeah but that’s not the same
00:46:41 thing
00:46:42 as yeah but but for the prophet
00:46:47 to obeying that instruction was part of
00:46:50 obeying the law oh sure I’m not arguing
00:46:53 that part but so that that once again
00:46:55 that instruction to the prophet was
00:46:57 infliction it was part of the law
00:47:02 um
00:47:04 okay I can kind of see that
00:47:06 the only thing that God inflicts upon us
00:47:09 is the law all these other things that
00:47:11 happen to us it’s just mortality
00:47:13 so here’s a question the fact that we’re
00:47:15 here
00:47:17 um and so I I mean one I know
00:47:20 Yahweh allowed uh Satan to do a lot of
00:47:24 things to job
00:47:27 I mean one way I think he is but he
00:47:31 allowed it but at the same time he did
00:47:34 allow it
00:47:35 but he didn’t inflict it sure he didn’t
00:47:37 inflict it himself
00:47:40 there’s a difference between there’s a
00:47:43 difference
00:47:47 I I’m not sure either God if God always
00:47:50 protected the righteous would there be
00:47:52 any uh would there be any
00:47:54 oh sure there would be any enduring
00:47:57 right
00:47:58 and so the point is
00:48:01 it yeah but the the facts
00:48:05 and he could have made his life a lot
00:48:07 easier by just
00:48:09 forgetting is God forgetting forgetting
00:48:13 the law just
00:48:15 kick over the bucket Curse God and die
00:48:18 in fact his his first wife told him to
00:48:20 do that
00:48:22 so that’s so that’s but that’s the point
00:48:26 what really made it hard for him
00:48:29 was his desire to uphold it was his
00:48:33 desire to uphold God and the law
00:48:36 sure and and while he was doing that his
00:48:39 friends were telling him he was a fool
00:48:40 for doing that and that he was wicked in
00:48:43 a sinner
00:48:44 yeah which
00:48:46 uh that’s not why he was that’s not why
00:48:49 all those things happen exactly
00:48:54 um
00:48:56 because they happen to him because Satan
00:48:59 because
00:49:02 God allowed Satan to to
00:49:06 afflict him
00:49:07 um
00:49:09 and at the same time I mean even at the
00:49:11 I think it’s at the beginning of the
00:49:13 book but God knew Job would pass the
00:49:16 test
00:49:18 um just like God knows we we can pass
00:49:21 all tests that come our way whether or
00:49:24 not if we do or not is another question
00:49:25 but God knows if we will or not but he
00:49:28 knows that we can pass everything for us
00:49:33 yes
00:49:35 and job is a good example for that
00:49:38 because Satan couldn’t do anything to
00:49:40 job without God allowing it in the first
00:49:43 place God’s in control
00:49:46 even over Satan
00:49:49 yeah
00:49:50 our enemy he’s over that
00:49:53 um but
00:49:56 yeah
00:49:57 anyways my big thing that I saw was that
00:50:02 Yeshua
00:50:04 looked at the temple they whipped Yeshua
00:50:07 I see Yeshua upheld
00:50:12 or you know he bore his cross
00:50:15 did you did not bear their cross
00:50:18 okay no matter what which definition we
00:50:20 want to use which I think they’re some
00:50:22 related
00:50:24 um
00:50:25 Yeshua was raised up because he or his
00:50:29 cross
00:50:30 the Jews City was destroyed
00:50:34 because they did not bear their cross
00:50:36 yeah
00:50:38 that’s a really interest that’s really
00:50:40 interesting
00:50:42 and the one thing that I did find out
00:50:46 um whipping is actually in Torah
00:50:49 yep the problem is
00:50:51 uh not in the King James version
00:50:54 translation
00:51:01 uh it’s in the Hebrew and the Jewish
00:51:04 translation has whipped also
00:51:08 um so I’d have to we can go look at
00:51:10 other uh editions but that’s why I
00:51:13 didn’t see it before is because well I
00:51:15 had a bad translation in that area yeah
00:51:19 and it’s interesting when it talks about
00:51:20 it what I think it was Deuteronomy 25 2
00:51:23 I remember correctly
00:51:26 um here let’s
00:51:27 yeah let’s get
00:51:35 [Music]
00:51:38 I I didn’t find it on Bible Hub I found
00:51:40 it somewhere else but let’s go look at
00:51:42 Bible Hub
00:51:44 it’s hopefully Bible Hub shows it
00:51:46 otherwise I’ll have to find the other
00:51:47 place again
00:51:50 uh I think it was 25 too
00:51:55 I only know that one because it was
00:51:56 today
00:52:00 foreign
00:52:08 says beaten
00:52:11 let’s see ah so new international shows
00:52:15 vlogged which is whipping yep
00:52:18 um
00:52:19 the Jewish one the new living says
00:52:22 flogged which is whipping
00:52:24 Berean standard well that’s
00:52:28 oh no it’s clogged I just like the long
00:52:29 spot but Berean I generally speaking I
00:52:32 like the Berean standard I don’t always
00:52:34 agree with it but it seems like I agree
00:52:36 with it a lot
00:52:38 Korean says flogged which is whipping
00:52:42 Christian Standard Bible blogged
00:52:46 I have no idea what that is
00:52:49 Holmen
00:52:52 yeah the Holmen
00:52:54 new revised anyways it’s not in the King
00:52:57 James
00:52:58 which is you know what we grew up with
00:53:02 yeah it’s just it which just says be
00:53:05 beaten
00:53:07 yeah but it does
00:53:11 uh cause him to lie down to be beaten in
00:53:15 space according to himself by a certain
00:53:16 number
00:53:17 that means like Counting uh let’s see
00:53:21 what it says in the brain fog presents
00:53:23 in the number the number of lashes is
00:53:25 crime warrants it
00:53:28 Christ could already receive 40 minus
00:53:31 one
00:53:34 yes once you reach 40 you are dead
00:53:38 usually
00:53:39 well I think he still took more than
00:53:42 what most people could take even just at
00:53:45 that point
00:53:46 um yeah but I
00:53:49 there is I kind of recall a Jewish in
00:53:53 the oral law saying 40-1 I don’t
00:53:56 actually think that’s in Torah I didn’t
00:53:58 try to find that
00:54:00 um but my main thing is when I saw this
00:54:02 is that it’s you know flaw or with the
00:54:05 flogging or whipping and it had a count
00:54:07 just like Yeshua only received a certain
00:54:11 number yep
00:54:13 so I was wrong when I thought it wasn’t
00:54:16 a tour it actually is
00:54:18 um
00:54:20 so
00:54:21 I thought that was kind of cool it just
00:54:24 one of the most humiliating forms of
00:54:26 punishment
00:54:27 right and it’s
00:54:30 um
00:54:31 how it describe but they’re doing
00:54:34 something wrong yeah
00:54:37 if we go read the the previous verse if
00:54:40 there is a dispute between them like
00:54:43 there was with Yeshua and The Saturdays
00:54:46 and Pharisees they are go to the court
00:54:49 to be judged
00:54:51 Joshua was at the court and so that the
00:54:54 innocent may be acquitted and the guilty
00:54:56 condemned and if the guilty man deserves
00:54:59 a beating the judge shall have him lie
00:55:02 down and be flogged in his presence
00:55:05 with the number of lasting crime
00:55:07 warrants
00:55:08 so when I learned this and look at this
00:55:10 that’s what Yeshua was doing that’s why
00:55:13 he did the whipping
00:55:15 in the temple it’s right there
00:55:17 Deuteronomy 25 1-2
00:55:20 bam
00:55:22 well I I’ve heard you know growing up
00:55:24 Christian you hear all these
00:55:26 explanations for that event
00:55:29 um somewhat reasonable but it never
00:55:31 really completely fit for me
00:55:34 here’s the answer right there Torah
00:55:43 well he was the judge right they were at
00:55:46 the corner they were obviously guilty oh
00:55:49 yeah they were guilty and in fact they
00:55:51 were uh trying to judge him actually
00:55:54 right yeah and he was found innocent and
00:55:57 the guilty is condemned and the guilty
00:55:59 man deserves a beating
00:56:02 he was telling them
00:56:04 I’m innocent you’re the guilty one
00:56:10 yeah
00:56:12 correlation but he was angry and that’s
00:56:16 why there was much more to it than that
00:56:18 oh he was angry yeah there’s no doubt
00:56:20 about that but look at this tor shows us
00:56:22 that there was a lot more to it than
00:56:24 just that like you just said Karen
00:56:30 isn’t it amazing what we find out about
00:56:33 the Lord when we don’t throw away to her
00:56:35 up
00:56:37 I Amen brother
00:56:40 [Music]
00:56:42 wow
00:56:46 so I’m actually glad that we kind of
00:56:48 talked about whipping a couple days ago
00:56:51 because it got me thinking about it and
00:56:53 I looked it up and I’m like that makes
00:56:55 complete sense now none of these funny
00:56:57 little explanations about the money
00:56:59 changers and all that stuff like it’s
00:57:04 like it’s all in Torah yeah it’s it’s
00:57:08 just another
00:57:11 tore us the answer oh I would have never
00:57:13 guessed because I I didn’t read in King
00:57:15 James I didn’t know there was whipping
00:57:17 in it right
00:57:20 oh there it is but there it is
00:57:26 well
00:57:27 a pretty good translation but they still
00:57:30 did some things wrong and just like I
00:57:32 said I like the Berean well a lot of
00:57:34 times but I don’t like it all the time
00:57:36 the main thing is is that whenever you
00:57:39 accept a translation you’re also
00:57:42 accepting the theology
00:57:45 of the translator yes amen and that’s
00:57:48 why a lot of times I like going to the
00:57:50 Interlinear
00:57:52 right because then you can because in
00:57:55 English they’ll put words in they’ll put
00:57:58 like Ann does after periods commas and
00:58:02 it’s not in the Interlinear so sometimes
00:58:05 especially key verses for me I’ll go
00:58:08 look at the Interlinear and go look at
00:58:10 all the meanings of the Hebrew words
00:58:13 and try to do stuff myself
00:58:16 like I I’ve done did that with Daniel
00:58:21 am I Daniel 9.
00:58:23 24-27 stuff I mean I it’s primarily the
00:58:27 King James that I have but then you can
00:58:29 see my bracket sometimes I use these
00:58:31 different words which I think are more
00:58:32 appropriate right
00:58:35 um
00:58:36 because yes
00:58:37 you get the Theology of the translator
00:58:40 some translators are better at trying
00:58:42 not to put that in but they you just
00:58:45 can’t not never do it and so it happens
00:58:49 so if the King James
00:58:51 so if you’re going to go strictly with
00:58:54 the King James version of the Bible as
00:58:56 the inerrant and infallible word of God
00:58:59 you might as well be an Anglican
00:59:04 not necessarily so
00:59:07 I I’m not English again
00:59:10 well I’m talking about is I’m I’m
00:59:13 talking about if you if you believe
00:59:16 any book of scripture to be the inerrant
00:59:19 infallible word of God so yeah King
00:59:22 James only Camp yeah
00:59:25 I I’ve never been in that camp I never
00:59:28 understood it
00:59:29 um well I mean I think it’s interesting
00:59:31 not saying that it’s scripture but an
00:59:33 article there’s an article of faith that
00:59:34 talks about the King James Bible as long
00:59:37 as it’s translated correctly yeah yeah
00:59:41 well it’s actually not talking about the
00:59:44 uh King James Bible it’s talking about
00:59:46 the Bible well that’s true we believe
00:59:49 that doesn’t actually say King James but
00:59:51 they were using the King James so you’re
00:59:53 both right well the church the church
00:59:55 chose to use the King James Joseph Smith
00:59:58 was using it yeah he was but yeah I
01:00:02 think it was just more that was the most
01:00:03 popular one at the time which yeah
01:00:06 probably still is and he was using it
01:00:10 along with the Apocrypha
01:00:12 yeah oh no yeah that the addition of it
01:00:16 is times had that
01:00:19 yep were you trying to say something
01:00:21 Karen
01:00:25 I don’t remember now oh okay
01:00:28 so I thought you were going to but
01:00:30 um the three of us yeah
01:00:35 sorry we get carried away
01:00:39 no
01:00:40 but that’s just cool
01:00:44 Joshua was doing Deuteronomy 25 1-2 at
01:00:48 the temple with the whole thing
01:00:51 yep
01:00:53 yep
01:00:56 but it is but if you think about it it
01:01:00 is the most
01:01:01 ingratiating
01:01:03 embarrassing form god well whatever
01:01:08 it is the most embarrassing form of
01:01:11 punishment whatever I don’t care perhaps
01:01:14 excruciating well
01:01:17 excruciatingly
01:01:18 yes because you are supposed to lay on
01:01:23 the ground
01:01:25 uh you’re supposed to lay on the ground
01:01:30 but you know and just thinking out loud
01:01:32 I think that
01:01:33 um being crucified would be more
01:01:35 embarrassing but at the same time you
01:01:38 don’t survive that one so that’s right
01:01:40 probably ones that you serve can survive
01:01:43 would be the whipping so yeah
01:01:47 and that you know just thinking out loud
01:01:49 I wonder if that’s why they used to whip
01:01:51 slaves
01:01:52 one to put
01:01:55 harm and two to the embarrassment
01:01:57 possibly
01:01:58 yeah
01:02:00 yeah I mean that yes the most sense it’s
01:02:03 uh it’s all about physical domination
01:02:04 physical and mental domination yeah yeah
01:02:08 because I mean there’s a lot of slaves
01:02:10 that are just mental slaves okay sorry
01:02:11 go ahead
01:02:18 but didn’t they just totally make it
01:02:21 that to me would be really humility
01:02:24 yeah
01:02:25 yeah they did strip them naked at the
01:02:28 cross
01:02:29 so that
01:02:31 that ultimate
01:02:33 or to the world
01:02:35 and and in Christ they put the the
01:02:38 thorns
01:02:40 do you think there was a significance in
01:02:42 that as well yeah there is
01:02:45 um
01:02:46 yeah it’s
01:02:48 so it’s prophesied in the Tanakh and in
01:02:52 the mazaroth on that
01:02:54 um and so
01:02:57 um here’s a couple thoughts for you
01:03:00 Christ cursed the ground when Adam
01:03:04 um
01:03:05 transgressed
01:03:06 which caused Thorns to grow
01:03:09 and here’s
01:03:11 the man
01:03:12 who took that curse away
01:03:15 and wore a thorn of
01:03:18 Crown of Thorns to show that he will
01:03:21 take it away for us
01:03:26 wow that is amazing
01:03:32 fulfilling scripture that was supposed
01:03:34 to happen yeah
01:03:37 yep
01:03:40 yeah it also shows that he was the king
01:03:43 too and if anything he’s the king of the
01:03:46 world of that caused the curse right yes
01:03:50 yeah um because he wrote wore a crown of
01:03:54 it but anyways
01:03:56 um
01:03:58 no
01:04:01 there and
01:04:03 without him being nailed
01:04:06 also if you look at Yahweh
01:04:09 yhwh it’s behold the hand behold the
01:04:12 nail
01:04:17 when you go look at the Hebrew and what
01:04:19 those letters mean it’s behold the hand
01:04:22 behold the nail
01:04:23 now Karen
01:04:26 go read 3rd Nephi 11 soon and in there
01:04:30 when he states he is God Yahweh he says
01:04:33 behold my hands behold the nail prince
01:04:37 in 3 Nephi 11.
01:04:41 he’s telling them who he is I am Yahweh
01:04:43 yeah
01:04:45 because that’s what those letters mean
01:04:49 oh
01:04:54 so
01:04:56 just about everything I wouldn’t say
01:04:59 just about everything in the scriptures
01:05:00 have significance
01:05:02 we may not know what it is but it has
01:05:05 significance
01:05:07 and it’s beyond the uh and it’s all and
01:05:11 it’s almost always deeper than the
01:05:16 touch on the school answer the Dutch I
01:05:20 feel a sensationalistic Sunday school
01:05:22 answer yeah
01:05:24 in the beginning when you first started
01:05:26 talking Steven you said you were looking
01:05:29 for something more something deeper I
01:05:31 was too years are hearing the same
01:05:34 lessons over and over not that I know
01:05:36 everything not but not by far but I
01:05:39 don’t but
01:05:41 but I just
01:05:42 come on we go to Sunday school and they
01:05:45 tell us the answers and then they ask us
01:05:47 the questions I always just thought they
01:05:50 do that it was in the manuals yeah well
01:05:54 and uh
01:05:55 what they teach in church is less than
01:05:58 water down sugar milk
01:06:02 it’s nothing
01:06:04 really
01:06:05 um
01:06:07 and yeah it’s partly what actually got
01:06:11 me waking up is God part of my heart
01:06:13 that I wanted
01:06:14 to go seek out more and I have found a
01:06:17 lot more and
01:06:20 it’s helped me
01:06:21 a lot in many aspects and I feel peace
01:06:25 now
01:06:27 I can say the same thing I was looking
01:06:29 for more I started listening to Mike
01:06:32 Stroud and I thought
01:06:33 very interesting and then he he got
01:06:36 excommunicated and then I realized good
01:06:39 people communicated because I was always
01:06:41 taught only the wicked you know and
01:06:44 you’re bad you can’t get to
01:06:46 communicating that’s so not true
01:06:48 oh no
01:06:50 communicate because they don’t want you
01:06:52 didn’t hear it from the Brethren so it’s
01:06:54 not true so we don’t want you talking
01:06:57 like and he wouldn’t quit because he
01:07:00 felt like Jesus
01:07:02 well
01:07:03 um be careful with Mike Stroud I’m
01:07:06 double checking but if if he’s who I
01:07:09 think he is he was teaching a cult stuff
01:07:12 mixing it with scripture yeah I was
01:07:15 right he taught a lot of
01:07:17 a cult New Age it makes it with
01:07:19 scripture and he was encouraging people
01:07:22 to interact with demons don’t do that
01:07:26 you’re active demons
01:07:28 yeah
01:07:32 so just be careful of Mike Stroud and we
01:07:34 can talk about details more later
01:07:36 because it’s getting kind of late but I
01:07:39 reacting one Ryan in fact I was driving
01:07:43 home to see anything because
01:07:47 the scenery’s changed
01:07:50 I clock out at midnight that’s quarter
01:07:52 after one
01:07:53 yeah so well I I do these uh regularly
01:07:58 uh
01:08:00 I do it again Monday this coming Monday
01:08:03 um but I I do it according to the lunar
01:08:06 Sabbath and new moons so
01:08:10 uh every 29 to 30 days it’ll change what
01:08:13 day of the week it is on the Gagarin
01:08:15 calendar
