00:00:00 okay
00:00:02 so
00:00:03 um Kesley wants to look look at Romans
00:00:06 7. but I I think it would be wise to
00:00:09 just have a little quick discussion on
00:00:13 Paul
00:00:15 um because he can be a tricky one to
00:00:18 follow and I’m not making it up like
00:00:21 Peter said the same thing in second
00:00:23 Peter 3 16.
00:00:25 um you want to read that Ben all right
00:00:28 as also in his Paul’s Epistles speaking
00:00:33 to them of the of these things in which
00:00:36 are some things hard to be understood
00:00:39 which they that are unlearned and
00:00:41 unstable rest as they do also the other
00:00:44 scriptures under their own destruction
00:00:47 ye therefore beloved seeing ye know
00:00:49 these things before beware lest ye also
00:00:52 being led away with the error of the
00:00:55 wicked fall from your own steadfastness
00:00:59 so
00:01:01 um so Paul and Paul says a whole lot
00:01:04 basically Paul says a lot of things
00:01:07 yeah I like Paul but he uses uses
00:01:12 imagery I think
00:01:15 More Than A lot of people are ready for
00:01:17 uh he use he uses a lot of imagery and
00:01:21 in Romans chapter 7 I believe that he is
00:01:23 using imagery relevant
00:01:27 that he’s using imagery and analogy
00:01:30 relevant actually to uh marriage
00:01:33 covenant
00:01:35 um
00:01:36 okay I I don’t have I don’t have it
00:01:38 memorized so well
00:01:39 but I do believe that that is but I do
00:01:42 believe that that is where he’s going
00:01:44 where he goes with that
00:01:47 um uh if I remember right
00:01:50 so I just put two links in the chat so
00:01:55 um
00:01:57 these if you get a chance I would
00:02:00 actually recommend this I do like one
00:02:02 119 Ministries not for everything but on
00:02:05 Paul I definitely do they have a very
00:02:07 good series on Paul okay
00:02:10 and so I put it in the chat so the first
00:02:13 link is the videos the second one are
00:02:15 the transcripts
00:02:18 but here I think we just want to just
00:02:21 say those who are unlearned and I would
00:02:24 add in Torah who are unloaded in Torah
00:02:27 are going to wrestle the scriptures to
00:02:31 their condemnation
00:02:32 okay and so this is why we need both and
00:02:35 this is why we need to cut and this is
00:02:37 why I need to become learned uh learned
00:02:39 in Torah and the best way to do that is
00:02:42 from the best way to do that is with a
00:02:44 good um reliable
00:02:48 um a good and reliable teacher who’s not
00:02:51 going to necessarily try to get you to
00:02:54 follow him but just give you the means
00:02:56 whereby you can actually unlock the keys
00:02:59 unlock the key to Corey yourself right
00:03:03 well so one thing we got to be careful
00:03:06 with that statement because Paul said
00:03:09 that we should imitate him as he
00:03:11 imitates the Messiah right right
00:03:14 but uh
00:03:17 to go along with this the greatest
00:03:19 Prophet according to Yeshua was John the
00:03:21 Baptist and John the Baptist said I must
00:03:24 decrease and Yeshua must increase so
00:03:27 right teacher will teach you how to
00:03:31 figure this out on your own
00:03:33 right and he will guide you and help you
00:03:36 along the way but he will not make you
00:03:38 dependent upon Him He will try to make
00:03:40 you so he’s
00:03:43 um that you’re not dependent upon him
00:03:45 okay yeah thank you for setting my
00:03:47 crooked straight that’s private pretty
00:03:49 much what I intended to say well I I
00:03:51 know I I know that’s what he intended I
00:03:53 I just I’m just being long-winded is all
00:03:59 um I I like to hear my own it’s all
00:04:02 right
00:04:06 so do I honestly
00:04:09 anyways
00:04:10 um
00:04:11 all right so let’s go to Romans 7. so uh
00:04:16 Kesley if you want to do the whole
00:04:18 chapter or do you have some specific
00:04:20 verses you want to focus on or what do
00:04:22 you want to do
00:04:23 I just need to get I think
00:04:28 most of the gist of it all because I
00:04:31 what to me what it seemed like what he
00:04:34 was saying is now that Christ has passed
00:04:37 now that he’s gone
00:04:39 well well now that he atoned he
00:04:42 the law of Moses is gone
00:04:45 but
00:04:47 I don’t I don’t remember it’s just so on
00:04:50 the here on the law of Moses thing let’s
00:04:53 um because
00:04:55 this is an important thing with Paul or
00:04:58 even just the New Testament but
00:04:59 particularly Paul
00:05:01 um especially when you bring out if
00:05:03 chapter 7 brings out how he brings out
00:05:06 the law Moses is
00:05:07 done away with right so
00:05:10 uh let me
00:05:14 oh yeah
00:05:16 it’s uh sorry I gotta remember my
00:05:18 keywords
00:05:20 um
00:05:23 is that verse four
00:05:26 well yeah yeah
00:05:28 well oh and in there well right now I’m
00:05:32 thinking one in Galatians I think it’s
00:05:34 three
00:05:36 it’s Galatians 3 12-19 Maybe
00:05:39 uh uh actually it’s 17
00:05:42 and some more okay I see all right let
00:05:46 me get it on a resource page that I have
00:05:50 I
00:05:51 I just I haven’t noticed but sometimes
00:05:54 it’s hard to remember everything’s at
00:05:58 um yeah
00:06:03 um is that the legal part of Torah which
00:06:05 came into being
00:06:06 no so this one
00:06:08 first one I’m going to stand with nailed
00:06:11 to the cross okay oh this is called
00:06:13 collisions collisions I was awful all
00:06:17 over but yeah another one to look at if
00:06:19 we want uh but yeah
00:06:25 um hey uh darshan you want to read that
00:06:28 Coalition eyes I can’t say the name too
00:06:31 far sure a blotting out the handwriting
00:06:35 legal note of daily performances and
00:06:37 ordinances love Moses that was against
00:06:40 us given because of transgression
00:06:43 which was contrary said over against to
00:06:47 us as punishment and took out of the way
00:06:50 removed it annealing to his yeshua’s
00:06:54 cross death so here we get now some of
00:06:58 this is my glyphs okay but I I
00:07:01 substantiate them with the links okay
00:07:04 that’s why there’s blue there’s a link
00:07:06 to it and we can go look at this verse
00:07:08 in Bible Hub if you want but the Greek
00:07:12 word behind handwriting
00:07:14 uh I’m gonna be lazy and just do it from
00:07:16 there
00:07:17 is legal note okay
00:07:21 and I I’m putting it here because I
00:07:24 believe it helps
00:07:25 give more context or more understanding
00:07:28 just like I like to look at the 1828
00:07:30 dictionary it actually is very helpful
00:07:33 yeah Bible Hub is a great resource oh
00:07:36 yes yes in fact let’s let’s just go look
00:07:39 at it Bible Hub in fact let’s
00:07:41 uh my translations uses the word
00:07:44 testimony
00:07:48 uh for which word
00:07:50 for a legal note or handwriting all
00:07:53 right well let’s let’s go look at it
00:07:54 Bible Hub
00:07:55 so I’m gonna do full screen we’re gonna
00:07:57 look at both
00:07:59 not being
00:08:01 good for searching too but that’s not
00:08:04 what we want to do right now
00:08:07 Colossians
00:08:09 uh there I just oh wait no no no no
00:08:12 sorry Bill of charges
00:08:15 uh that would make more sense to me but
00:08:17 yeah I was like wait a minute
00:08:20 oh yeah that’s fine it’s hard to get
00:08:23 everything straight
00:08:27 darn where is my
00:08:31 okay so we can look at in the tons of
00:08:34 versions uh but I do like the Berean
00:08:37 Standard Bible Edition and plus it’s
00:08:41 also the most convenient for the links
00:08:43 for the words
00:08:48 okay right here
00:08:50 um it’s pretty good
00:08:52 um I like it more than others but uh
00:08:55 King James is good too but I kind of
00:08:57 grew up with that but
00:08:59 there are definitely times that I would
00:09:01 say that the King James committee
00:09:04 mistranslated on purpose okay I would I
00:09:08 would say that um
00:09:11 I would say that uh in coming to a
00:09:15 correct understanding of the verses King
00:09:17 James Bible has sometimes been a uh
00:09:21 deterrented an impediment yes yes I
00:09:24 would agree with that in fact I remember
00:09:26 when I showed you the one during
00:09:27 Pentecost
00:09:28 the reaction was uh classic
00:09:33 anyway I really like the
00:09:37 um complete Jewish Bible the study one
00:09:39 have you read through that one no uh
00:09:43 I’ve done the JSP
00:09:45 yeah I really really like the complete
00:09:47 your study Bible okay uh I let’s see if
00:09:51 it’s in here because this this has a
00:09:54 whole bunch here I it may not a bunch of
00:09:56 different versions yeah but what I I
00:09:58 like about it is it breaks down some of
00:10:00 the jewishness you know about certain
00:10:03 things in context and then
00:10:06 so that’s been super super helpful uh
00:10:10 they don’t have that translation here to
00:10:11 look at though if you have a site that
00:10:13 we can look at it um yeah let me see if
00:10:16 I can find it it’s probably different
00:10:18 than the study Bible well let me put my
00:10:21 camera on I’ll show you
00:10:23 what I mean so like
00:10:28 it’ll say oh it’s gone okay notes
00:10:32 underneath or the clothes to commentary
00:10:34 commentary okay yeah and so and some of
00:10:37 it’s great and then others you know like
00:10:39 on Bible Hub you can get commentary
00:10:44 um you just scroll down
00:10:46 and they
00:10:48 um well here this one doesn’t seem to
00:10:51 have any commentary
00:10:52 but a lot of them you just scroll down
00:10:55 you get commentaries
00:10:57 uh oh there oh sorry I didn’t scroll far
00:11:00 enough that was my problem
00:11:03 uh here is a lot of the older uh
00:11:06 commentaries which you can get for free
00:11:08 here
00:11:10 um and then even if you want more you
00:11:13 can uh the top you can clip on
00:11:16 commentaries
00:11:18 um
00:11:19 comment right there comment right there
00:11:23 so you can go get commentaries
00:11:26 um and I read these sometimes and
00:11:28 sometimes they have good stuff and
00:11:29 sometimes not so much right just like
00:11:31 the Jewish one
00:11:32 um
00:11:33 the thing that you have to bear in mind
00:11:36 is that um
00:11:40 they don’t
00:11:42 that uh
00:11:44 not every there
00:11:47 not every every Bible has its strengths
00:11:50 in its weaknesses correct and one
00:11:52 another thing that I like from the site
00:11:54 though uh is you can click over uh for
00:11:58 the brand Standard Bible you can hover
00:12:00 over it it’ll tell you the word that
00:12:02 they’re getting it from but even better
00:12:04 yet you can go to the Interlinear
00:12:08 there we go here
00:12:10 oh this is great
00:12:13 uh and this you can really get an idea
00:12:16 uh how good their uh translation oh yeah
00:12:21 um because at least here when they add a
00:12:23 word that’s not justified by the actual
00:12:26 text they put it in glyphs or the square
00:12:29 brackets right
00:12:31 um so they’re honest about it here but
00:12:34 in the text not so much but anyways
00:12:38 um I do think we wanted to look at
00:12:40 handwriting what’s what number that was
00:12:43 54.98 chirograph on yeah so no it’s a
00:12:48 little funny reading it here
00:12:50 but uh having blotted out against us the
00:12:54 handwriting
00:12:55 uh and now this is where we can go say
00:13:03 a document legal note or Bond yeah so
00:13:07 that’s exactly the link that I had but
00:13:09 it’s good to see that it’s here so this
00:13:11 is where because of what I believe
00:13:15 uh and know about law of Moses I do
00:13:19 believe a legal note is a better
00:13:23 translation because I do believe
00:13:26 that the law of Moses was a punishment
00:13:30 for breaking the Covenant and so and
00:13:33 that’s why legal punishment just like
00:13:37 the uh just like circumcision was a
00:13:39 punishment also for breaking the
00:13:40 coverage right and we can get that from
00:13:42 jst uh Genesis 17 right thanks for
00:13:46 sharing that link yeah
00:13:49 I’m trying to find a better
00:13:51 user-friendly version sorry
00:13:54 uh oh that’s got that the the commentary
00:13:57 you like okay I don’t know if it has the
00:14:00 commentary but it definitely has the
00:14:01 verses uh okay all right oh my gosh but
00:14:06 the actual one is like half off
00:14:09 oh come on the physical I need of yeah
00:14:12 the study Bible it’s only 27.49 which is
00:14:14 crazy because I paid like 50 bucks
00:14:17 that’s that’s a pretty good price for
00:14:19 commentary because I I know a church
00:14:21 like a room would charge a lot more than
00:14:22 that but anyways I’m gonna put the link
00:14:25 there and then hopefully you can see the
00:14:26 sale too if you just want to snag up a
00:14:28 copy just to happen
00:14:30 uh okay I’ll put it here uh and then
00:14:34 I’ll put it in the notes so people can
00:14:36 get it
00:14:37 um but yeah the second one I added is
00:14:39 the one with the coupons or whatever
00:14:43 um
00:14:45 all right
00:14:47 what mine’s different look at that
00:14:50 adverty oh wow I’m gonna show you mine
00:14:53 real quick okay so let me uh stop
00:14:57 sharing and give you permission to share
00:15:00 oh yeah I was like
00:15:02 [Music]
00:15:03 okay there we go sure go ahead and sure
00:15:06 uh how do I do that
00:15:14 do you see that
00:15:17 no oh there we go okay do you look at
00:15:20 that
00:15:21 wow isn’t that crazy
00:15:25 makes me wonder if it’s click bait or
00:15:28 something they I think
00:15:31 they know you’ve already bought
00:15:33 maybe that could be
00:15:36 anything
00:15:37 uh because
00:15:39 they do Market things to particular
00:15:41 people
00:15:43 um they probably know I’m cheap and I
00:15:44 only buy things from like
00:15:47 my little Amazon purchases
00:15:51 I’m kind of cheap too or or a better
00:15:55 word for it is Frugal right oh yeah yeah
00:15:58 that actually makes it sound wise I
00:16:00 don’t mind cheap though cheap isn’t bad
00:16:05 especially for toys when the kids are
00:16:07 only going to use it for a month anyway
00:16:09 right exactly and then you’re gonna find
00:16:12 and then you’re gonna have to put it in
00:16:13 the dumpster and then father there you
00:16:15 go pretty much okay cool deal all right
00:16:18 so now I I did add some here because
00:16:23 in the actual text it’s only ordinances
00:16:26 but as you study you’ll
00:16:30 um performances and ordinances go
00:16:33 together okay
00:16:35 yeah they just like judgments and
00:16:37 statutes go together right performances
00:16:41 and ordinances describe the law of Moses
00:16:44 judgments and statutes described poor
00:16:47 correct and so I’m trying to use my
00:16:50 glist saying here’s my little notes that
00:16:52 help make it a little more obvious of
00:16:54 what’s being
00:16:55 um talked about
00:16:57 that was given us because of
00:17:01 transgression so we can see this from
00:17:03 Isaiah 13 and Galatians 3
00:17:07 uh which I have up here somewhere but
00:17:10 wait uh there it is especially the jst
00:17:13 edition of it but we’ll get we can I
00:17:16 don’t want to do too much because I’m
00:17:18 actually probably taking too long of
00:17:20 this already but I’m trying to lay the
00:17:21 foundation
00:17:23 um that was against us meaning so here’s
00:17:28 this legal note an illegal note is
00:17:29 something that a judge does
00:17:31 after you’ve broken the law right
00:17:36 hands down a sentence yeah it’s a
00:17:39 sentence a legal note and it was against
00:17:41 them because they because of
00:17:44 transgression yeah because they because
00:17:47 they worship them because they worship
00:17:49 Baal on his on his on his uh yearly
00:17:52 Sabbath
00:17:53 uh
00:17:54 that could be part of it I think now
00:17:57 this is my personal opinion here okay I
00:17:59 think a big part of it is that Yahweh
00:18:03 just did Big miracles
00:18:06 to free them from Moses and then they
00:18:10 gave the credit to Satan yeah that’s
00:18:13 true that’s true this is our God who has
00:18:16 yeah the wording goes with that yeah
00:18:20 they they they were saying that that
00:18:22 that bail worship that that represents
00:18:25 Satan was their God where they knew that
00:18:27 was not the case
00:18:30 and they fell after 40 days or 40
00:18:35 jubilees all right for the 2000 times of
00:18:38 the Gentiles
00:18:40 um but uh because that
00:18:43 history is also pathetic of the second
00:18:45 coming but yeah
00:18:47 um all right anyways
00:18:49 um which was contrary meaning it was
00:18:52 against right they did something that
00:18:55 was contrary set over us
00:18:58 uh meaning punishment right they got a
00:19:01 punishment for breaking the law and it
00:19:04 took it out of the way
00:19:07 so took it first it was removed right
00:19:13 yeshua’s cross his death
00:19:17 yep so
00:19:19 um this if we’re not careful there’s a
00:19:22 lot of Hebrew rooters
00:19:24 that people who start believing in Torah
00:19:26 but then are somewhat influenced by the
00:19:28 you know Pharisee false traditions
00:19:31 they start denying Paul because they
00:19:34 don’t know what to do with this
00:19:37 this verse okay
00:19:40 then they start denying the Messiah and
00:19:43 then they start denying Torah because as
00:19:46 we just read a little bit ago
00:19:48 Paul is hard to understand but but yeah
00:19:53 and the large and a large part of it is
00:19:55 also the fact that
00:19:58 what’s been lost is the difference
00:20:01 between the law of Moses and Torah yes
00:20:05 that that is the key the Torah and Allah
00:20:08 because Moses but the law of Moses was a
00:20:12 sentence passed
00:20:14 through the judgments of Torah
00:20:18 on a rebellious people right and we can
00:20:21 get that from mosiah 13 example I I
00:20:24 don’t know if we want to Sidetrack on
00:20:25 that but I’m happy to if I don’t want to
00:20:28 go too far off the Romans right
00:20:31 um but as in just to bring out the daily
00:20:34 performances
00:20:37 uh is it in this one
00:20:40 oh yeah day by day there we go so there
00:20:43 was
00:20:44 the law of Moses is primarily the two
00:20:48 daily Lambs
00:20:52 and then I’ll just say Alma 34 and then
00:20:55 maybe we’ll go on after this unless
00:20:57 someone has any specific
00:20:59 questions because we do need to get the
00:21:01 uh Romans yeah
00:21:03 but Alma 37 says every wit points to
00:21:08 that great and last sacrifice
00:21:10 of the law of Moses because it
00:21:14 I don’t know this for every single point
00:21:16 yet and it’s something I’m working on
00:21:18 actually but
00:21:20 I will say this one that’s not common
00:21:22 knowledge we’re in the DNC it talks
00:21:25 about part of the atonement was Joshua
00:21:27 bleeding at every poor in the garden
00:21:30 before the cross that goes along with
00:21:33 before you can do the sacrifices on the
00:21:35 Altar for the law of Moses you had to
00:21:38 have the red heifer blood put on the
00:21:41 altar
00:21:42 Yeshua is the Altar and he bled from
00:21:45 every poor
00:21:47 blood was poured upon the altar just as
00:21:50 the red heifer blood was poured upon the
00:21:53 altar
00:21:55 the law of Moses
00:21:57 these daily performances and ordinances
00:21:59 point to him
00:22:01 okay and that all all Maybe
00:22:04 I don’t know if you can see it
00:22:06 but my Sacrament cup I have two Lambs
00:22:10 that’s the point of the atonement
00:22:14 the cross
00:22:15 anyways okay so I think with that
00:22:19 um let’s get back to a little base I
00:22:21 think we can go back to Romans 7 right
00:22:24 well and the other thing that we have to
00:22:26 bear in mind uh when we’re looking at
00:22:29 Romans 7
00:22:30 is that
00:22:32 Paul was a man of God and that if any if
00:22:36 our interpretation of what he says
00:22:38 doesn’t gel with the rest of scripture
00:22:43 then our interpretation is wrong right
00:22:46 he
00:22:48 therefore it’s therefore it’s important
00:22:51 I let me finish real quick it’s really
00:22:55 important that we make sure that we’re
00:22:57 looking to harmonize rather than replace
00:23:02 harmonize the harmonize the Covenant
00:23:06 with the new information rather than
00:23:09 replace the Covenant with the new
00:23:10 information if you understand what I’m
00:23:12 saying uh Paul taught Torah despite what
00:23:16 people say but there’s phrases that he
00:23:19 did like Colossians 2 that uh confuses
00:23:23 people right or here in Romans chapter 7
00:23:26 verse 6 being dead to the law
00:23:29 um
00:23:30 for sure and let’s deal with that one
00:23:32 when we actually get there when we get
00:23:33 there yep
00:23:35 um so I think with that in mind I I just
00:23:37 wanted to bring that up with what Kesley
00:23:40 said was coming up I felt like that was
00:23:42 important to go over
00:23:45 um but with that we could just go verse
00:23:47 by verse and and talk about it yeah
00:23:50 right yeah it’s not that long
00:23:53 uh okay that’s good but I’m not too
00:23:56 worried I’ll stay up all night
00:23:59 uh hopefully I don’t cause anybody to uh
00:24:02 fall out the window though
00:24:04 um yeah
00:24:07 uh so I’ll read the first one uh no you
00:24:11 not brethren
00:24:13 for I Paul speak unto them that know the
00:24:18 law so even here he’s saying
00:24:21 I’m not just speaking to anybody right
00:24:24 I’m speaking to people who know Torah
00:24:29 yep that Torah is the base okay if you
00:24:33 don’t know if you understand Torah
00:24:35 you’re not gonna really understand what
00:24:37 I’m saying you’ll twist what I’m saying
00:24:39 just like if you don’t know algebra
00:24:41 you’re not ready to do calculus
00:24:47 did you want to say something Ben no I’m
00:24:50 just looking at the next line okay sorry
00:24:52 I I I get ahead of everybody that’s mine
00:24:55 okay that’s my problem how that the law
00:24:58 has dominion over men only as he liveth
00:25:03 only as long as you live
00:25:06 well how that the law hath dominion over
00:25:09 men only as long as you love it I see
00:25:12 this as a rhetorical question
00:25:15 because
00:25:17 um the law is going to be up in heaven
00:25:20 right right
00:25:21 even people who deny law is valid right
00:25:24 now they’ll say it’s valid in heaven
00:25:29 and and so why did God go from having
00:25:33 the law valid to having it not be valid
00:25:36 to now being invalid like yeah
00:25:40 um yeah but there there’s a deeper level
00:25:42 of there’s a deeper level of symbolism
00:25:44 here
00:25:46 that he’s actually talking about
00:25:49 um
00:25:50 so let’s keep going on uh okay you want
00:25:53 to read number two well for the woman
00:25:56 which half a husband is bound by the law
00:25:59 to her husband only as long as he liveth
00:26:02 for if the husband be dead she is loosed
00:26:05 from the law of her husband so this is
00:26:08 what he’s liking here
00:26:11 he’s talking about the he’s talking
00:26:14 about
00:26:15 the marriage covenant and he’s talking
00:26:17 about a marriage vow an old death
00:26:21 um
00:26:22 and so we’re so and he’s relating this
00:26:25 to the law
00:26:26 and Christ and the crucifixion and the
00:26:30 resurrection
00:26:31 now the the what he the law hath
00:26:35 dominion over a man only as long as he
00:26:38 liveth the Dominion and when
00:26:41 the law hath dominion over a man
00:26:45 um
00:26:47 when they’re in order for the law to
00:26:50 have in order for the law to have
00:26:52 dominion over us we can’t be we’re not
00:26:54 living in it we’re actually uh we’re
00:26:57 actually working and we’re actually
00:26:58 sinning
00:27:00 so so
00:27:01 this Dominion that he’s talking about is
00:27:04 the Dominion of sin
00:27:07 so I I I I so
00:27:10 in the Tanakh the Old Testament uh
00:27:13 Yahweh said he divorced
00:27:16 Israel as or the 10 tribes right yep now
00:27:22 I there’s controversies over this issue
00:27:27 here and I wonder if this is one chapter
00:27:29 that deals with that controversy because
00:27:33 um a lot of people take the divorce law
00:27:36 and we can go look at it if you want
00:27:37 because I have some notes on it that if
00:27:40 you do if a woman divorces a man
00:27:43 and then marries another man he can’t go
00:27:46 marry the first husband
00:27:49 after she’s been married to another
00:27:52 but
00:27:53 it never states that you can’t be
00:27:56 married to your original husband if you
00:27:59 never married anybody after the divorce
00:28:04 and so I think some of this controversy
00:28:07 is because
00:28:08 they’re
00:28:10 thinking that the actual law in Torah
00:28:13 states that you can’t go marry your
00:28:16 first husband if he didn’t marry again
00:28:18 but I I this sounds like a verse that
00:28:22 some people use
00:28:25 in that one of the reasons that Yeshua
00:28:28 died was so that way he could be
00:28:31 covenanted with the ten tribes again I
00:28:34 actually
00:28:36 don’t like that theory as in I just
00:28:38 described there right because they they
00:28:40 didn’t marry again to somebody else so
00:28:43 that you can if in your life if you
00:28:47 if a wife divorces her husband but
00:28:50 doesn’t marry anybody else they can go
00:28:52 marry that same husband again that’s
00:28:54 according to the law in Torah
00:28:58 but if she did marry somebody else she
00:29:01 can’t go marry that first husband again
00:29:03 okay
00:29:04 um and so that is an issue that some of
00:29:07 these people try to tie to these verses
00:29:09 I think it’s this verse just because the
00:29:11 way it’s worded and it kind of connects
00:29:13 to it yeah yeah you know in other words
00:29:17 if you’re reading Romans 7 without also
00:29:20 being knowledgeable in the divorce law
00:29:22 you’re not going to understand the
00:29:25 analogy that he’s drawing here right
00:29:26 that’s something I’m bringing out
00:29:28 because I’m bringing out how they’re
00:29:30 misapplying it because it
00:29:33 although the Israel the ten tribes went
00:29:37 adulterous and they got divorced there’s
00:29:39 nowhere in scriptures that they
00:29:41 symbolically married somebody else right
00:29:44 yeah they could have come back in
00:29:47 without being without the husband died
00:29:50 okay but anyways uh this is an
00:29:54 interesting controversy that this
00:29:56 chapter may be related to I I don’t know
00:30:00 um but this part verse two makes me
00:30:02 wonder if that’s the case okay well look
00:30:04 at verse three even more so all right uh
00:30:07 Zach you want to read verse three
00:30:12 so then if while her husband liveth
00:30:16 she’d be married to another man
00:30:18 he shall be called in adulterers
00:30:20 but if her husband is be dead
00:30:23 she’s free from that law did we read
00:30:25 this one already no this is this is
00:30:28 verse three we did it first but though
00:30:30 you’re probably thinking that because I
00:30:32 was describing what it’s bringing up
00:30:34 because right this sounds something very
00:30:36 similar to two that’s why
00:30:40 you’ll be free from that law so that she
00:30:42 is no adulterous
00:30:44 unless she’d be married to another man
00:30:47 so in in the law just just so we’re
00:30:50 clear on this part
00:30:52 um
00:30:53 you when the husband dies you’re free to
00:30:56 go marry again
00:30:58 and the other way is that you get
00:31:02 um writing of divorcement and you move
00:31:05 out then you’re free to go marry another
00:31:08 man but there’s the two parts now some
00:31:11 people
00:31:12 [Music]
00:31:13 oh this is another controversy with the
00:31:16 New Testament specifically
00:31:19 um
00:31:20 and yeshua’s time during his mortal
00:31:24 Ministry there was a problem of people
00:31:27 kicking out their wives and then not
00:31:30 legally divorcing them as in this was
00:31:33 this was in relation to a precedent set
00:31:37 by the Pharisees
00:31:39 uh yes
00:31:42 um but what the reason they did that is
00:31:44 in Hebrew culture when you got married
00:31:48 when you signed the marriage contract
00:31:50 you’re also signing what would happen
00:31:52 during the divorce and so these husbands
00:31:56 did not want to do their marriage Duty
00:31:59 for the people or I shouldn’t say people
00:32:01 but to the wives that they’re divorced
00:32:03 so they wouldn’t divorce them so then
00:32:06 they ended up living up on the street or
00:32:08 something because they would just kick
00:32:09 them out but not do the paperwork
00:32:11 because they didn’t want to do alimony
00:32:13 basically is what it’s going down to
00:32:15 they’re being greedy right
00:32:18 um and and so a lot of people will take
00:32:23 that from the New Testament and turn it
00:32:25 in one big controversy about divorce but
00:32:29 the law specifically States you can
00:32:31 remarry after your divorce because of
00:32:34 the example that they give
00:32:36 that once you once you marry somebody
00:32:39 else after the previous husband you
00:32:42 can’t marry the previous husband
00:32:44 right
00:32:45 um but anyways uh divorce is fine you
00:32:49 just have to do it correctly as in
00:32:52 get the paperwork and move out for me
00:32:56 don’t live together right but anyways
00:33:00 and this guy gets into because if you
00:33:04 just kicked your wife out and you didn’t
00:33:06 do actually do the divorce papers and
00:33:09 she started Living with somebody else
00:33:12 she’s commending adultery and he’s not
00:33:15 fully divorced in today’s world that
00:33:18 would be likened to being separated and
00:33:21 you caused her to commit adulth and and
00:33:23 the and the husband caused you to commit
00:33:25 adultery so he is also to blame
00:33:27 for however the uh and if he and if
00:33:32 under such circumstances he enters into
00:33:34 a similar relationship with another
00:33:36 woman he is also critical
00:33:38 correct
00:33:40 um it
00:33:42 the correct order is that the man takes
00:33:46 care of the family including the wife
00:33:48 providing you know the food and the
00:33:50 substance so here’s a wife that a
00:33:52 husband just got
00:33:54 kicked her out
00:33:56 he she’s gonna go live with another man
00:33:59 right it it it’s a natural consequence
00:34:02 so the husband is causing her to sin so
00:34:05 this is uh and the husband’s sitting
00:34:07 also right so it’s not just one of them
00:34:10 they’re both sitting
00:34:12 um so this is what uh it’s kind of being
00:34:13 brought out in this verse
00:34:16 but yeah but this but this it but I run
00:34:20 again want to once again
00:34:22 hone in on the fact that this isn’t just
00:34:24 about divorce law this is relating this
00:34:27 to
00:34:28 our relationship to the law
00:34:32 through the divorce using the divorce
00:34:35 using the law and Torah for divorce to
00:34:38 do so
00:34:39 okay
00:34:41 um Kessler you want to read uh verse
00:34:43 four
00:34:46 yeah
00:34:48 um on my scriptures wherefore my brother
00:34:51 in am I muted okay I can hear you sorry
00:34:56 wherefore my brethren you also are
00:34:59 become dead to the law by the body of
00:35:01 Christ that you should be married to
00:35:03 another even to him who is raised from
00:35:06 the dead that we should bring forth
00:35:08 fruit unto God
00:35:10 okay so when they say you are become
00:35:13 dead to the law
00:35:15 are they is he actually now
00:35:18 contradicting
00:35:20 contradicting the Covenant that was
00:35:22 given
00:35:24 no he’s not no he’s not saying that
00:35:26 you’re dead to the law he’s saying that
00:35:28 you’re that when you ex that when you
00:35:31 accept Christ and are born again you
00:35:33 become
00:35:35 you are freed from the consequent you
00:35:38 are freed from the consequences of sin
00:35:39 therefore you are dead to dead as to
00:35:44 the law of sin
00:35:46 as in the consequences of it yes the
00:35:50 consequences the law is a two-edged
00:35:53 sword right
00:35:55 um it it will
00:35:58 if you break it and you don’t come under
00:36:00 the covering of Yeshua it’ll send you to
00:36:03 hell right
00:36:04 but at the same time without the law you
00:36:08 can’t be Sanctified and live with the
00:36:10 Messiah and you can’t even be justified
00:36:13 also and so it’s yeah according to
00:36:17 Doctrine and Covenants section 88 verses
00:36:19 34 and 35 the law is what uh justifies
00:36:23 and sanctifies
00:36:25 right because of the blood of Christ
00:36:28 made it possible but the law also has a
00:36:31 part of it right yeah of course without
00:36:35 the blood of Christ the law just sends
00:36:37 us to hell
00:36:38 uh right because we all have sin right
00:36:41 so so the the need to be born again is
00:36:45 great
00:36:46 [Laughter]
00:36:49 even this in a way has the imagery of
00:36:52 being born again as you became dead
00:36:55 right
00:36:58 and when you come dead you have to be
00:37:00 born again to go to start doing stuff so
00:37:02 yep
00:37:04 uh and that you should be married to
00:37:07 another as in
00:37:09 um to the Messiah right even and in this
00:37:13 next part even kind of emphasizes that
00:37:14 even more silly Kindle stuff
00:37:18 raise from the dead
00:37:21 yeah so it’s you’re no longer rate
00:37:23 you’re no longer married to punishment
00:37:26 you’re now married to the Messiah right
00:37:29 so I I do think we need to bring out
00:37:31 that up here uh silly Kindle
00:37:35 um is bringing about how when the man or
00:37:38 the husband dies you’re not tied to that
00:37:40 law anymore right and here he’s bringing
00:37:43 out how the husband
00:37:45 Yeshua died and so we’re not tied
00:37:50 to
00:37:52 the consequences of that law okay okay
00:37:55 and the reason for this is that we
00:37:56 should bring forth fruit I.E first
00:37:59 fruits
00:38:01 sure sure well and then also James I
00:38:04 think would uh apply with this also you
00:38:07 can show me your faith without your
00:38:08 fruits but I James or I Stephen will
00:38:13 show you my faith with my fruits
00:38:17 mm-hmm and in here it’s just kind of
00:38:21 saying the same we should bring forth
00:38:23 fruit unto Elohim right
00:38:27 uh if we actually believe something
00:38:31 uh it will cause their actions that act
00:38:34 importance to that as such as lectures
00:38:37 on faith lecture one right yeah
00:38:41 so now let’s go into verse five real
00:38:43 quick here hey darshan are you willing
00:38:46 to read five
00:38:48 yep okay so for when we were in the
00:38:52 flesh the Motions of sin which
00:38:55 were not according to the law did it
00:38:58 work in our members to bring forth fruit
00:39:00 unto death okay so this is what it means
00:39:03 to be under the law the Motions of sins
00:39:06 which were not according to the law did
00:39:08 work in our members to bring forth fruit
00:39:11 so the
00:39:15 the punishment of breaking the law is
00:39:17 death is that’s basically what it’s
00:39:20 saying right
00:39:22 so if you sin you die in fact in Hebrew
00:39:24 culture
00:39:26 um when they have sinned they consider
00:39:29 themselves dead
00:39:31 it’s not that they literally died
00:39:33 in fact uh what is it first Corinthians
00:39:36 15
00:39:38 um Paul states that he died daily
00:39:42 it’s not that he physically died and he
00:39:45 got a Lazarus event every single day is
00:39:48 that time in his
00:39:52 now I don’t know this for sure okay but
00:39:54 this is my
00:39:57 my understanding especially with some
00:39:59 other things that have been said on the
00:40:00 subject because we we should not be
00:40:02 sinning daily
00:40:05 um especially as we get down further in
00:40:07 our walk but as we start our walk
00:40:10 uh we may send daily and start repenting
00:40:14 right and I don’t know where this how
00:40:17 early First Corinthians was after Paul’s
00:40:20 conversion to the Messiah because before
00:40:22 that he was a set
00:40:24 um he was a Pharisee right yes okay he
00:40:28 was a Pharisee and they sinned and he’s
00:40:31 just bringing out that I recognize I’m a
00:40:33 sinner
00:40:34 and I’m still doing it
00:40:37 but there’s also the point how
00:40:40 um it’s not good to send daily so I
00:40:42 think that was early in his walk and
00:40:45 later and just before he died his
00:40:48 warnings about himself changes and so I
00:40:51 think we can see
00:40:52 uh in Paul’s writings his
00:40:55 own
00:40:58 conquering of sin
00:41:00 is right that’s progression and faith
00:41:04 that happens to all of us because when
00:41:07 we first start learning the law
00:41:11 um and actually really believing you
00:41:12 want to apply we still have the bad
00:41:14 habits in ourselves right but we keep
00:41:16 working on rooting those out right or as
00:41:19 Paul said I have a thorn in my flesh
00:41:21 right
00:41:24 so uh I I’m just trying to I’m trying to
00:41:27 bring out how
00:41:28 when we sin we die and Hebrew culture is
00:41:32 considered death even though we haven’t
00:41:34 physically died but it is the spiritual
00:41:36 death right it does disconnect us from
00:41:39 from
00:41:44 uh and from uh Yahweh and Yeshua so we
00:41:49 are we are in need of we’re native
00:41:53 yeshua’s atonement uh and those blood
00:41:56 shed for us so that we can overcome
00:42:00 uh so that we can overcome and
00:42:05 cease to live in sin uh and thus be
00:42:08 under the curse of the law
00:42:11 but no longer under the curse of the law
00:42:13 well I mean when we sin we’re under the
00:42:15 curse of the law so we need in order to
00:42:17 avoid in order to step out of sin
00:42:20 in order to step out of that constant
00:42:22 pattern of sinning and needing uh Mercy
00:42:25 to cover our sins
00:42:27 um in the laws
00:42:30 obedience to the law becomes essential
00:42:33 because it’s as we go later on in this
00:42:36 chapter we’ll find out the value of the
00:42:37 law in our repentance right and we get
00:42:41 maybe let’s go Sidetrack and let’s look
00:42:42 at the word mercy because Mercy actually
00:42:45 talks about forgiveness
00:42:48 um and then when we uh take in mind that
00:42:53 one of the requirements to be forgiven
00:42:56 is to have a broken heart and contrite
00:42:57 spirit which is a repentant person aka’s
00:43:00 returning to the law
00:43:03 um it makes sense
00:43:05 that uh those who receive forgiveness
00:43:10 are trying to keep the law right
00:43:19 yeah
00:43:21 um but I well um
00:43:24 one of the definitions of Grace deals
00:43:27 with forgiveness
00:43:32 um let’s see if we can
00:43:33 oh there it is 10.
00:43:35 oh no that’s favor okay so I gotta go
00:43:38 yeah it’s favored Mercy pardon that’s a
00:43:40 definite pardon pardon it is a
00:43:43 definition
00:43:44 yeah well pardon is being forgiven right
00:43:48 but the the main thing the main thing is
00:43:51 and the main thing that I see
00:43:54 is in the Book of Mormon
00:43:56 the covering of our sins is always
00:43:59 referred to as Mercy
00:44:00 yes it is never referred to as Grace
00:44:06 is what happens after our sins have been
00:44:08 covered we walk in the house of Yeshua
00:44:10 by his grace and in his grace we live in
00:44:15 the law
00:44:16 becoming new creatures not old creatures
00:44:20 with new excuses
00:44:22 so I think
00:44:24 um to go along with that and supporting
00:44:26 of that is one way I think of Grace is
00:44:29 that it’s Merit
00:44:32 that we don’t deserve
00:44:36 right and so and because of what he did
00:44:41 uh and
00:44:43 doing that all we can do which is accept
00:44:47 Yeshua and repent that’s all that we can
00:44:51 do
00:44:53 uh he will then give us things that we
00:44:56 are not merited for
00:44:58 as in the three different degrees of
00:45:00 Glory right
00:45:03 and in this life being able to walk and
00:45:06 being able to walk in the house yes well
00:45:08 as it were
00:45:10 yes
00:45:11 okay so I think we can go back to Romans
00:45:14 7.
00:45:16 there we go
00:45:19 um
00:45:19 I think we’re in verse six right
00:45:22 now yes we’re about to we’re about to
00:45:25 start over six uh Zach you want to read
00:45:27 six
00:45:29 or do you have a question Kelsey
00:45:34 you’re muted
00:45:35 no I don’t know all right it just looked
00:45:38 like you were thinking there so I
00:45:40 thought I’d ask oh yeah is this helping
00:45:43 or are we about as clear as much it’s
00:45:46 hair it’s helping a lot I’m writing a
00:45:48 lot of numbers
00:45:50 what you’re doing that okay well I’m
00:45:52 glad we’re helping uh exactly I’m gonna
00:45:56 read verse six sack
00:45:59 now we are delivered from the law
00:46:02 wherein we were held being dead to the
00:46:05 law
00:46:06 that we should serve in newness of
00:46:08 spirit not in the oldness of the blood
00:46:12 of the letter
00:46:14 so uh here I I do believe what’s being
00:46:17 brought out is that we are delivered
00:46:19 from the curse of the law yes right yes
00:46:24 do you understand some people are going
00:46:25 to disagree with me because it’s not
00:46:27 actually specifically stated
00:46:29 but when you know how the law is a
00:46:33 double-edged sword because you’re
00:46:35 Justified and Sanctified with the law
00:46:37 and if we’re being delivered from it it
00:46:40 must be uh
00:46:43 uh that’s being delivered from a
00:46:45 negative thing as in the curse of the
00:46:47 law right yeah this this has to this has
00:46:51 to this has to do with knowing our
00:46:54 relationship
00:46:56 to the law and knowing the Law’s
00:46:58 relationship to our Elohim as his mind
00:47:01 as an expression of his mind and will
00:47:06 um and so we can’t be dead to his mind
00:47:10 and will
00:47:11 but we can be dead to the consequences
00:47:13 of it
00:47:15 right as in because we’ve gotten Mercy
00:47:18 right we’ve been forgiven right in fact
00:47:21 I would say uh this next little little
00:47:25 bit would actually support that newness
00:47:28 of spirit
00:47:30 this sounds a lot like being born again
00:47:35 a new creature is another way sometimes
00:47:38 they say it right
00:47:40 and in this and not in the oldness of
00:47:45 the letter or and I I why don’t we look
00:47:49 that up and see if that’s not also
00:47:51 referring to the same thing the
00:47:52 Colossians is referring to
00:47:54 uh okay so give me one second we can
00:47:57 start looking into that and how you want
00:47:58 to but the way that I see that is the
00:48:02 Pharisees tried to justify their sins by
00:48:05 twisting the law well yeah I kind of see
00:48:10 I see that in that statement but let’s
00:48:12 go look at what business and I I see
00:48:14 that too but I think but I think we
00:48:16 might find something we might find
00:48:18 something new if we look at another look
00:48:20 another I’m just look I’m just looking
00:48:23 for another layer sure sure uh do you
00:48:26 want me to go Bible Hub is is that what
00:48:27 yeah go to Bible Hub and let’s look at
00:48:30 the look at the uh
00:48:31 let’s look at the word
00:48:34 of the of the word behind the word
00:48:36 letter okay that’s good
00:48:40 because we might find another deeper
00:48:43 uh of either deeper or even or just
00:48:47 clarifying right or clarifier yeah
00:48:51 uh Romans 7.
00:48:55 and then that was six
00:49:02 laughs
00:49:16 just read the whole verse and we’ll
00:49:18 start looking at it okay okay but now
00:49:20 having died what bound us we have been
00:49:23 released from the law so that we serve
00:49:25 in the new way of the spirit not in the
00:49:27 old way of the written code
00:49:28 let’s take a look at the
00:49:30 so uh look there’s a lot of words for
00:49:33 that one Greek word let’s go look at
00:49:35 that one Greek word yep
00:49:38 which was drawn or written
00:49:45 uh
00:49:47 uh so to me they’re just kind of
00:49:49 bringing out the written
00:49:51 another old way of the written code so I
00:49:55 do think that kind of goes along with
00:49:56 what I was saying before yeah yeah I was
00:49:59 just looking I just wanted to see if
00:50:00 there was something else in there as
00:50:02 well that uh it’s a freedom from the a
00:50:06 freedom from the bill uh further
00:50:09 clarifying that it’s a freedom from the
00:50:11 uh pill of indebtedness right right and
00:50:13 so here here just in our own culture
00:50:16 right
00:50:18 um
00:50:20 politicians seem to give the idea that
00:50:24 making a new law is going to go solve
00:50:27 all the problems right but we all know
00:50:31 whether we want to admit it or not it
00:50:33 doesn’t because
00:50:34 the wicked ones are the ones that are
00:50:37 trying to do evil they’re always going
00:50:39 to find a way around the law but still
00:50:42 be within the law right well I’m just
00:50:45 going to I’m just going to say this
00:50:49 the talmud
00:50:50 is a perfect example
00:50:52 of how you can write more law on top of
00:50:55 what on top of God’s law
00:50:58 right and and Yeshua had some pretty
00:51:02 certain words about that that he
00:51:03 actually stated that makes the Torah his
00:51:06 law null and void right yep but there’s
00:51:12 also the spirit and spirit let’s go look
00:51:14 at it here but Spirit has a lot of wind
00:51:17 breath Spirit
00:51:21 it is so but anyways so here it’s wind
00:51:25 and spirit so that that’s the typical
00:51:27 that goes along with the Hebrew so is
00:51:30 and that’s actually the yeah it’s
00:51:33 actually uh synonymous
00:51:36 it’s actually that actually makes that
00:51:38 word kind of synonymous with the Hebrew
00:51:40 word used uh for when God spoke out of
00:51:44 Mount Sinai which is I’m sure
00:51:49 I I’m gonna I can’t yeah that’s what I
00:51:53 wanted to say
00:51:57 um and so the Hebrew word has a lot of
00:52:00 deep meaning to it in fact uh with John
00:52:04 3 that’s what’s going on there with uh
00:52:06 Nicodemus so the new so the newness of
00:52:09 the spirit is actually obeyed the law
00:52:13 right right
00:52:15 um and uh and not the traditions of men
00:52:19 right in English one of the definitions
00:52:23 of spirit is behavior right so let’s go
00:52:26 look at that real quick
00:52:30 so so you can see that we’re not
00:52:32 inventing something here
00:52:36 uh here
00:52:44 uh is it actually
00:52:48 it is there
00:52:50 that’s
00:52:53 just so let’s pause so we can find it
00:52:57 okay so I’m cheating here instead of
00:53:00 trying to go figure it out again I’m
00:53:01 looking at my all things you should do
00:53:03 Post
00:53:04 which I know I’m biased but go read it
00:53:11 no seriously though I I’ll plug my ears
00:53:13 and Ben can tell you what he thinks well
00:53:16 it’s uh
00:53:18 I actually sat in and proofread this
00:53:21 post
00:53:23 um and I tell you and I can tell you
00:53:26 this I can tell you that this is a good
00:53:28 post and there’s a lot of good
00:53:29 information you will be uplifted as you
00:53:32 read it and you are you’ll find your
00:53:34 mind enlightened as you read as you read
00:53:37 in the spirit
00:53:39 so that’s what that’s my that that was
00:53:43 my experience as I was proofreading it
00:53:44 because that my mind was enlightened by
00:53:46 the spirit of God as I uh
00:53:50 and as I as I went through it and just
00:53:54 FYI Matt helped proofread also but they
00:53:58 both had a suggestion and I put both of
00:54:00 their suggestions in okay so anyway mine
00:54:03 was Doctor to Covenant section 88 verses
00:54:05 34 and 35. well no you didn’t no they I
00:54:09 I got that from you before but your
00:54:12 suggestions was something from Paul at
00:54:14 the end oh yes yes yes that’s right that
00:54:16 one that one that’s a tip so anyways but
00:54:19 you did inadvertently help me with that
00:54:22 uh section before you knew I was writing
00:54:25 this but anyway yeah but so let’s go
00:54:28 back to the main
00:54:30 uh temper disposition of mine habitual
00:54:34 or temporary
00:54:37 as a man of gender Spirit or revengeful
00:54:41 spirit that sounds like Behavior right
00:54:43 ornament of a Meek and quiet spirit let
00:54:47 us go to the house of Elohim in the
00:54:49 spirit of Prayer
00:54:51 to me we can sum that up with behavior
00:54:54 uh verse 8 Turn of Mind sorry excuse me
00:54:58 temper oh temper that’s definitely
00:55:01 Behavior or you know your mood in your
00:55:04 mood affects your behavior excuse me it
00:55:06 affects your behavior State of Mind
00:55:09 a perfect judge will
00:55:11 read each work of wit with the same
00:55:15 spirit that the author intended so you
00:55:18 know look at context right also your
00:55:20 mood
00:55:21 a 14 excitement of Mind emanation I said
00:55:26 that wrong and animation there we go
00:55:29 cheerfulness usually in the plural we
00:55:32 found in our friend a very good spirits
00:55:35 he was of great flow of spirit so that’s
00:55:39 kind of like more of your mood and
00:55:41 behavior right yeah uh there’s an
00:55:44 example of it I’m just going to skip
00:55:45 that and the best one is the and the
00:55:47 best one’s 20. okay I’ll let you read
00:55:50 that one the best one is 20. the renewed
00:55:52 nature of men and well how do we know a
00:55:54 man has renewed Nature by their behavior
00:55:57 Yeah by how they act because that is the
00:56:00 fruits right
00:56:02 yeah because otherwise people could say
00:56:05 all day that they’re new they were born
00:56:08 again and if their actions don’t bear it
00:56:10 out
00:56:12 like they just have new excuses for
00:56:15 their old Behavior
00:56:16 yep
00:56:18 um and just FYI I’ll bring this out
00:56:20 since Galatians 5 is listed here
00:56:22 Galatians 5 is a list of the spirit
00:56:24 right guess what everything in Galatians
00:56:28 5 is a commandment in Torah it’s ask so
00:56:33 it’s basically saying if you’re keeping
00:56:34 Torah you’ll be doing these things
00:56:39 um
00:56:40 anyways to me that just makes sense
00:56:43 um
00:56:43 all right so
00:56:46 I think we can go back to Romans 7 right
00:56:48 go back to Romans 7. okay all right so
00:56:51 let me just share partial screen
00:56:55 [Music]
00:56:58 uh uh I think we just finished talking
00:57:01 about verse six if I remember correct
00:57:03 yes we just finished six okay
00:57:06 um do you want to reach seven Ben yep
00:57:09 what shall we date
00:57:11 what shall we say then
00:57:14 is the last sin
00:57:16 God forbid
00:57:18 um
00:57:19 nay I have not known sin but by the law
00:57:22 where I had not known lust except the
00:57:24 law had said Thou shalt of it
00:57:27 so the law is absolutely essential I’m
00:57:30 telling us and helping us repent
00:57:32 right in fact he’s bringing out here
00:57:35 that
00:57:36 um
00:57:38 if we’re keeping the law oversitting
00:57:42 No in fact this is a verse that I would
00:57:47 say is pretty good in today’s world
00:57:49 right because there is a general feeling
00:57:53 that Satan tends people to keep the law
00:57:56 nowadays right
00:57:59 and that’s just not the case right and
00:58:02 we can get that right here now it in the
00:58:06 way it’s formed it is a rhetorical
00:58:08 question but it’s a it’s stated in a way
00:58:12 that we should be obvious
00:58:14 that it’s not sinned right
00:58:18 um says bye
00:58:20 um so let me just pause
00:58:23 okay Zach you want to ask your question
00:58:25 again
00:58:29 um
00:58:32 okay I was just a little bit confused
00:58:35 Galatians five three versus three for
00:58:38 four well and that’s understandable with
00:58:41 what people go out and say about these
00:58:43 things right
00:58:44 um
00:58:45 like Christians will totally use this
00:58:47 against
00:58:48 oh yeah well that’s because they don’t
00:58:51 understand it but let’s look at these so
00:58:53 uh verse three for I testify or I Paul
00:58:57 testify against every man that is
00:59:00 circumcised in in that thinking that you
00:59:04 still need to be circumcised okay
00:59:06 that or that your circumcision makes you
00:59:09 special and safe right right now this
00:59:13 circumcision was a punishment that was
00:59:16 ended at the cross okay there was two
00:59:19 things that ended at the cross or yes it
00:59:21 was death the law of Moses or the daily
00:59:23 performances and ordinances and
00:59:25 circumcision and we’ll see this as we
00:59:27 kind of look more at these verses for I
00:59:30 Paul testify again to every man that
00:59:34 thinks that circumcision is required
00:59:36 that he is deader to the whole of the
00:59:40 law now the reason that would be is
00:59:42 because that is rejecting the Messiah
00:59:46 because circumcision ended
00:59:50 at uh uh the death of Yeshua on the
00:59:54 cross
00:59:56 okay that the time for that punishment
00:59:58 ended now
01:00:01 um this can be a little tricky because
01:00:03 the law is eternal
01:00:06 but punishments don’t have to be
01:00:09 if punishments had to be
01:00:11 Eternal I’d have to go to hell because I
01:00:13 don’t know about you guys but I have
01:00:16 sinned
01:00:17 but is the fact of what Yeshua did
01:00:21 that makes it so that punishment that I
01:00:25 deserve does not have to be eternal it’s
01:00:29 been erased
01:00:31 because I’ve accepted him with a broken
01:00:33 heart and a contrite spirit but if you
01:00:36 have not accepted him
01:00:38 which is a sign of that is saying that
01:00:41 circumcision is required because it
01:00:43 ended at the cross is saying that you
01:00:46 now have to pay your debt for breaking
01:00:50 the law
01:00:51 but to the person who has accepted the
01:00:53 blood of Yeshua
01:00:55 they are not a debtor to do the whole
01:00:57 law
01:00:58 but they can through Grace
01:01:02 live in the law right and I think that
01:01:04 kind of leads as a good lead to the next
01:01:06 verse because I think the next verse
01:01:08 talks about Grace so you want to do that
01:01:10 one Ben
01:01:12 and Christ has become of no effect unto
01:01:14 you
01:01:15 whosoever of you are justified by the
01:01:17 law
01:01:19 okay so these people are justifying
01:01:21 themselves by the law rather than being
01:01:23 justified through the blood of Christ
01:01:27 you’re falling from Grace
01:01:29 anyone who treats anyone who seeks by
01:01:32 their own righteousness
01:01:34 to be justified
01:01:36 is fallen from Grace they are fallen
01:01:39 from they they they they they slap back
01:01:43 the arms of Mercy which are extended to
01:01:45 them
01:01:46 and they uh and they’re and they fall
01:01:50 right and I think uh another way that I
01:01:53 would say it but same thing just another
01:01:55 way of saying it is
01:01:57 um you’re falling from Grace because you
01:01:59 have rejected the Messiah who gives us
01:02:02 Grace so it’s you’re basically
01:02:06 um you’re sitting in his face crucifying
01:02:08 him afresh yes yes that’s a good way of
01:02:11 putting that part you rejected the
01:02:13 Messiah and so because of that you get
01:02:16 no Grace and so you have fallen from it
01:02:20 and therefore you are a debtor you are
01:02:23 the law can do no good for you you are a
01:02:26 debtor to the world all right because
01:02:28 you’ve broken the law as I did so I I
01:02:30 mean we all have except for one
01:02:33 but unless you accept the Messiah
01:02:39 Yeshua or Jesus is mostly called
01:02:43 you have to pay that debt yourself and
01:02:45 guess what
01:02:46 to pay that debt means you don’t get to
01:02:49 be with Elohim
01:02:50 [Music]
01:02:52 because the wages of sin is death
01:02:57 so
01:03:00 please repent and accept him
01:03:03 and don’t fall from grace
01:03:06 don’t seek to justify yourself with your
01:03:09 own righteousness and another thing that
01:03:11 this we’ll get into is um
01:03:14 the doctrine from hell that once saved
01:03:17 always saved now if that was the case
01:03:19 why would Paul put that in if you can’t
01:03:22 fall from grace or reject the Messiah
01:03:25 after you’ve accepted him why would he
01:03:27 have to put that in there
01:03:29 it’s because you can once saved always
01:03:32 saved is a false Doctrine from hell to
01:03:35 get you to go to hell
01:03:41 but just like uh just like the uh
01:03:46 just like the pre-tribulation Rapture
01:03:48 Doctrine there’s a Doctrine from Hell
01:03:51 sent to make it so that you will and so
01:03:54 the incentive is sent to make it so that
01:03:56 you will not be prepared to stand
01:04:01 at the end times
01:04:02 from the time when things become hard
01:04:05 right right you’ll want to hide under a
01:04:08 rock and you’ll get one it’ll just be a
01:04:13 Brimstone that will kill you uh for the
01:04:17 curse of the broken law that you did but
01:04:19 anyways uh I think we should probably go
01:04:23 back to Romans 7.
01:04:25 let’s get that working okay
01:04:28 all right so let’s go back now now that
01:04:31 I’ve gotten my health Iron Bridge Sony
01:04:33 [Laughter]
01:04:37 your system now uh
01:04:43 all right so people tell me that if
01:04:47 people tell me that I got the wrong
01:04:48 vocation in life it should have been a
01:04:50 Baptist Minister
01:04:51 do they preach fire and brimstone a lot
01:04:54 yes they yes there’s a lot of Hellfire
01:04:57 Bridgestone pets
01:04:59 all right well I I think we’re on verse
01:05:02 eight now
01:05:03 um Zach you want to read it
01:05:05 yeah
01:05:10 it’s then taken
01:05:12 taking occasion by the Commandment
01:05:16 rather than me
01:05:17 or men of
01:05:21 concupiscence
01:05:22 [Music]
01:05:25 or without Allah sin was that okay so I
01:05:29 for this is for me I don’t know what
01:05:31 that word means oh yeah let’s look it up
01:05:34 yeah
01:05:35 um okay so uh where’s the
01:05:40 there we go
01:05:44 [Music]
01:05:47 I’m getting too happy over here I need
01:05:49 to stop
01:05:51 stop
01:06:10 there it is right there top word okay
01:06:13 yeah I I was just I was looking at the
01:06:16 Kindle to know how to spell it so I
01:06:18 didn’t say pop up
01:06:20 okay uh you wanna read that Ben
01:06:23 uh concupiscence means lust unlawful or
01:06:27 irregular desire of sexual pleasure in a
01:06:31 more General sense the coveting of
01:06:33 carnal things or an irregular appetite
01:06:35 for worldly good inclination for
01:06:37 unlawful enjoyments
01:06:39 that’s what he it that’s a concupiscence
01:06:43 is just basically our in our inclination
01:06:46 to sin uh well I I would I think that’s
01:06:50 a goes along more with the Ten
01:06:53 Commandments specifically more than just
01:06:55 sin in general because it’s more like
01:06:57 coveting and lusting right yeah so
01:07:01 um let’s go back to Romans and now that
01:07:06 I know the definition because I did
01:07:08 before I oh yeah basically the natural
01:07:11 it’s basically the natural man
01:07:15 has nothing to work against without the
01:07:18 law it can’t create your Temptation yeah
01:07:21 so but sin taking occasion by the
01:07:25 Commandment wrought in me all manner of
01:07:29 breaking the you know coveting and
01:07:31 lusting for without the law sin was dead
01:07:35 so literally so literally the natural
01:07:38 man has nothing to work with if there’s
01:07:40 no law therefore there is no point in
01:07:42 the test am I right and I I think one
01:07:45 thing that this gets along with it’s in
01:07:47 second Nephi 2 and Alma 42 and all my
01:07:51 things you should do pose that without
01:07:54 the law there is no sin
01:07:58 and if there is no sin there is no by by
01:08:02 extension through the Book of Mormon and
01:08:05 we see there is no God
01:08:07 right uh there’s some steps before that
01:08:09 but one being if there is no sin why do
01:08:12 you need a messiah right right and if
01:08:15 you there’s no need of Messiah there is
01:08:17 no Elohim
01:08:19 yup because the Messiah is Yahweh Elohim
01:08:25 yep
01:08:27 um so that’s that’s what I see there
01:08:30 um Kessler you want to read uh number
01:08:32 nine
01:08:35 yep
01:08:36 for I was alive without the law once but
01:08:40 when the Commandment came sin revived
01:08:42 and I died
01:08:46 I was once I was alive without the trend
01:08:49 without transgression of the law
01:08:52 right so this is like uh I was born
01:08:55 physically and I hadn’t sinned yet right
01:08:57 yep but then I learned of yahweh’s
01:09:01 Commandments
01:09:03 and then sin came in because I broke it
01:09:07 so this sounds a lot like Moroni 8 right
01:09:10 yeah that that little children
01:09:14 and when we go looking at all the adult
01:09:16 all of yahweh’s words especially GST
01:09:19 seven and I forget the DNC section but
01:09:23 anyways
01:09:25 um
01:09:26 little children are without the law
01:09:30 yeah they uh the yeah the the
01:09:34 but there comes a point
01:09:37 where the law is introduced to us by our
01:09:40 parents usually
01:09:41 all right but not always even just
01:09:44 Yahweh himself also right yeah all men
01:09:50 but yeah yeah but but and well and some
01:09:56 most of us are introduced to some form
01:09:59 of law by our parents correct yes now
01:10:03 yahweh’s law that a lot of times that’s
01:10:06 going to have to come from your way
01:10:08 itself because well our parents don’t
01:10:10 really understand the law or themselves
01:10:12 but we uh
01:10:14 a Christian house and they told me you
01:10:17 know Torah was done away with it was
01:10:20 nailed to the cross where they got Torah
01:10:22 and Moses mixed up in that statement
01:10:25 right right
01:10:27 so so but your your first uh the first
01:10:32 time that we become aware
01:10:34 that there is law is through our parents
01:10:38 and then we begin and immediately when
01:10:41 we realize that there’s things that we
01:10:42 should and should not do
01:10:44 we want to we want to try and test it
01:10:46 out
01:10:48 why shouldn’t I do that
01:10:50 why shouldn’t I put my hand on the hot
01:10:52 stuff why shouldn’t I
01:10:55 um and stuff like that
01:10:57 um
01:10:58 and so this is the same kind of thing
01:11:00 that he’s talking about when we become
01:11:02 aware of the law
01:11:05 our immediate inclination is
01:11:09 well I want to do this why can’t I do
01:11:12 this
01:11:14 right because the law tells us it’s
01:11:17 wrong which uh
01:11:20 um having the written law helps us
01:11:22 really it makes it more obvious but if
01:11:25 we really thought about it in our own a
01:11:27 lot of the law we could figure out on
01:11:30 our own without the scriptures in fact
01:11:32 it’s in it’s in US it sent us right
01:11:35 right and I would argue that’s why the
01:11:38 moral law is pretty much the same
01:11:41 throughout all religions and cultures
01:11:45 right there’s some minute differences
01:11:48 and and reasonings behind it what not
01:11:51 right and and the purpose behind it are
01:11:55 different but the the basic surface of
01:11:58 the moral law is pretty much the same
01:12:00 everywhere
01:12:02 I mean I I’ve been around the world
01:12:04 quite a bit in my life because of work
01:12:06 and my wife and guess what no one likes
01:12:10 it when you steal their stuff
01:12:12 that’s pretty Universal
01:12:14 yeah but the funny thing is nobody likes
01:12:16 it when you steal their stuff but they
01:12:17 definitely want to steal your stuff
01:12:19 right and this is where your uh
01:12:23 not applying the Golden Rule right right
01:12:26 but this is also showing what Paul is
01:12:30 taught this is also showing what Paul is
01:12:32 talking about here
01:12:36 right right yes
01:12:38 um exactly uh that’s why that’s why I
01:12:41 bring it up
01:12:42 exactly uh
01:12:45 sin is revealed in here what people do
01:12:50 to us that we do to others right we
01:12:53 learn that it’s a sin but the question
01:12:57 is
01:12:58 are we going to still do it to others
01:13:01 and make excuses
01:13:03 are we going to learn and stop doing it
01:13:06 ourselves
01:13:09 and this is actually I do believe this
01:13:11 is part of the way that Yahweh reveals
01:13:14 the law to all adults
01:13:17 is from our interactions with everybody
01:13:19 and US thinking about what we like done
01:13:22 to us and what we don’t like done to us
01:13:25 right there’s a lot of if we to borrow
01:13:30 uh phraseology from the lectures on
01:13:33 faith one if we thought about this in
01:13:36 our own minds
01:13:39 um we would come up with a lot of this
01:13:41 stuff on our own if we were honest
01:13:43 completely honest with ourselves yeah
01:13:47 so
01:13:49 I that’s a lot from verse 9 right yep
01:13:55 anyways
01:13:56 um so let’s go to the next verse uh Ben
01:13:59 you want to read that one okay and when
01:14:01 I believe not the Commandment of Christ
01:14:03 which came which was ordained to life oh
01:14:07 that’s interesting believe not the
01:14:08 Commandment of Christ which came which
01:14:10 was ordained alive I found it condemned
01:14:13 me unto death
01:14:15 oh I when I believed not the Commandment
01:14:19 of Christ
01:14:21 which is just another
01:14:24 um name for Torah or Commandments or
01:14:27 light or you know there’s lots of names
01:14:30 for the same thing right right
01:14:34 Yahweh and Yahweh is the Messiah and
01:14:39 when we connect this to Doctrine and
01:14:40 Covenant section 88 34-35 we can
01:14:43 understand what which was ordained from
01:14:45 life means all right well let’s go look
01:14:48 at that real quick
01:14:50 uh
01:14:52 uh oh there it is
01:14:55 because this actually reveals both the
01:14:59 it reveals the two-edged aspect of the
01:15:02 law
01:15:03 yeah so 88 right yep Doctrine Covenant
01:15:07 section 88 verses 34 and 35.
01:15:17 okay do you want me to read it or you
01:15:19 want yeah you go ahead okay and again
01:15:22 verily it’s unto you
01:15:24 that which is governed
01:15:27 by Torah is also
01:15:30 preserved by justified by Torah
01:15:34 uh yeah right in fact actually let’s
01:15:38 um
01:15:38 let’s let’s get my let’s pause for just
01:15:41 once okay
01:15:44 good catch bit
01:15:47 um all right I forgot to push the
01:15:48 buttons that okay so
01:15:52 um I decided to read it from a post of
01:15:54 mine all things you should do just
01:15:56 because it’s got some of these notes to
01:15:58 make it a little more obvious and and
01:16:00 dictionary definitions if we don’t like
01:16:02 those
01:16:03 um so I’m gonna start from the the
01:16:05 beginning again and again verily I say
01:16:08 unto you that which is governed by Torah
01:16:11 is also preserved for baptism of
01:16:15 justification by Torah and perfected
01:16:20 which is
01:16:22 the same as Sanctified by Torah that
01:16:26 which breaketh Torah and invited not by
01:16:29 Torah but seeketh to become a law unto
01:16:33 themselves like the size of season
01:16:35 Pharisees with their oral law or like
01:16:38 all the people who believe that the that
01:16:41 the entirety of the law must be received
01:16:43 through personal revelation you’re
01:16:45 becoming a law unto yourself so I I do
01:16:48 believe God
01:16:50 will confirm the law as we live it as he
01:16:54 stated in the New Testament when he says
01:16:57 if you want to know if it’s from me or
01:16:59 from somebody else do it
01:17:02 so if you want to know if Torah is from
01:17:04 him
01:17:06 do it
01:17:08 right so on this note
01:17:12 everybody
01:17:14 well maybe not everybody because not
01:17:15 everybody’s a Christian
01:17:17 or a believer in Yeshua but
01:17:21 everyone who
01:17:22 claims that they believe yesho is the
01:17:25 promised Messiah they’ll say I want to
01:17:28 be like him
01:17:30 if he really
01:17:32 really believe that statement I’ll tell
01:17:35 you how to do it
01:17:36 keep Torah
01:17:39 John 1
01:17:42 brings us out that Yeshua is the perfect
01:17:46 personification of Torah meaning he
01:17:49 faced everything he did on Torah
01:17:53 so go ahead he is the word yes he is the
01:18:00 word
01:18:01 he is our perfect example of the word
01:18:05 even to the point of the whip at the
01:18:08 temple that is in Torah okay
01:18:11 yep so even when people think he was
01:18:14 being mean
01:18:16 weapon them
01:18:18 or their
01:18:20 misjudgments of him
01:18:22 he was actually keeping the law
01:18:27 uh so if you want to be like Yeshua
01:18:32 learn the law so you can know why he did
01:18:35 things because if you don’t know why he
01:18:37 did things you can’t do them as he would
01:18:41 do also
01:18:43 because you have no idea
01:18:48 unless you know the guidelines and the
01:18:52 boundaries
01:18:54 that he did everything by
01:18:56 unless you know the mind and will of God
01:19:00 you have no idea
01:19:04 whether what you are receiving comes
01:19:07 from him
01:19:08 and in order to know or a devil or a
01:19:12 devil because that happens a lot
01:19:15 so I would suggest
01:19:17 to do an experiment upon the word
01:19:21 and plant poor in your heart
01:19:25 and let it grow
01:19:27 and see the fruits
01:19:33 yeah
01:19:34 Emma 32.
01:19:37 um
01:19:38 okay so back to sorry about that little
01:19:41 Sidetrack but I felt a little patented
01:19:44 but this is the but this is the point is
01:19:47 this is the two-edged aspect of the law
01:19:50 it’s both
01:19:52 condemns to death the man who will not
01:19:55 keep it who disbelieves it
01:19:58 but also
01:20:00 the sanctify the by believing in he who
01:20:04 gave it
01:20:05 [Music]
01:20:08 and by accepting his sacrifice
01:20:14 right it comes an instrument of life
01:20:17 correct correct when we look at the
01:20:19 doctrine of the Messiah
01:20:22 um
01:20:22 the baptism of fire is different than
01:20:26 the baptisms of Torah oh yeah I said it
01:20:30 that way or the baptism of the Holy
01:20:32 Behavior
01:20:33 which is taught in Torah because
01:20:36 uh fire is a symbol of judgment you were
01:20:41 when you’re first getting into it
01:20:43 you don’t know the law but Yeshua it saw
01:20:47 that you you have a repentant heart that
01:20:50 you want to keep his way in his wills
01:20:53 now the question is
01:20:56 you have to follow through on that in
01:20:59 his way that he wrote with his own
01:21:02 finger
01:21:04 to get the sanctification
01:21:06 meaning it’s written upon
01:21:09 a fleshy heart
01:21:11 and not a Stony heart
01:21:14 in that you accept it instead of
01:21:17 rejecting it
01:21:18 okay also it’s uh written on a fleshy
01:21:21 heart not a uh and not just a uh not
01:21:24 just an imagined spiritual
01:21:26 uh yes and if you actually have it
01:21:29 written on your heart you do it
01:21:32 because now it has become part of you
01:21:35 it’s
01:21:36 written on your heart it’s written in
01:21:39 you it’s written in your actions right
01:21:42 well and then so just a little tidbit
01:21:44 here
01:21:45 um in the huberic way of thinking you
01:21:48 think with your heart not your head
01:21:50 [Music]
01:21:51 and so if you’re using
01:21:54 Torah to help guide you in all your
01:21:56 things you’re thinking about it
01:21:59 um but
01:22:01 anyways well let’s go finish this first
01:22:04 [Laughter]
01:22:07 I forget where I was yeah so I’ll just
01:22:12 um
01:22:12 cannot be said willeth but she gets to
01:22:16 become a law unto itself
01:22:18 and well yeah okay because I was talking
01:22:19 about the Pharisees so if you basically
01:22:22 become a law unto yourself like the
01:22:24 Sadducees and Pharisees and coming up
01:22:26 with these oral laws that
01:22:29 they can sound good on the surface but
01:22:31 they make Torah Nolan void
01:22:34 which uh you do to try to justify your
01:22:38 will to abide in sin
01:22:41 and all together you stay in sin you
01:22:45 cannot be sanctified
01:22:48 by Torah neither by Mercy Justice
01:22:52 nor judgment so I want to get in this
01:22:56 little statement here as we I mean maybe
01:22:58 this timing is perfect but we earlier we
01:23:00 just looked at the definition of mercy
01:23:02 and part of it
01:23:04 did we or do am I memory bad anyway
01:23:09 um
01:23:10 part of Mercy is being forgiven right
01:23:15 now when we look at the requirements in
01:23:17 the Book of Mormon and in the Bible
01:23:20 one of the things that’s a requirement
01:23:23 to gain Mercy is the desire to repent
01:23:27 and repenting is returning to the law
01:23:31 okay and when you keep the law
01:23:34 you’re just
01:23:36 and when you’re keeping the law
01:23:40 you’re protected by judgment
01:23:43 not condemned by it you’re protected by
01:23:46 it when you’re keeping the law
01:23:49 now yes we all have sinned in the past
01:23:52 but guess what Mercy because of yeshua’s
01:23:57 blood and giving up his life for us
01:24:01 that’s in the past and he doesn’t
01:24:03 remember it and as uh and as has been
01:24:07 told to me several times
01:24:10 our past can either be a springboard
01:24:14 or it can become a crutch
01:24:17 correct
01:24:18 and it’s not meant to be a crutch
01:24:20 we’re not meant
01:24:22 to dwell in our past to dwell in our
01:24:25 sins we’re meant to turn from them turn
01:24:28 to the one person
01:24:31 the one being
01:24:33 in all of the universe
01:24:36 who can make us new
01:24:43 we need to stop living
01:24:48 we need to stop trying to justify our
01:24:51 own sins
01:24:54 and we just need to live
01:24:58 singleness of heart
01:25:00 if you go to the Messiah he will forgive
01:25:04 everything that you have to go to him
01:25:12 I I mean
01:25:15 Paul let’s just take Paul for example
01:25:17 since we’re reading one of his letters
01:25:19 right
01:25:20 he killed believers
01:25:23 but yet because he repented
01:25:26 he now created believers
01:25:31 that’s quite a contrast there and it’s
01:25:34 all possible because
01:25:36 yahweh’s atonement
01:25:39 mercy and forgiveness and Grace
01:25:44 Mercy Mercy is the beginning of Grace
01:25:48 but it’s only the beginning yes and you
01:25:51 want to see
01:25:53 you ought to see the rest of it
01:26:01 life will still get hard in fact in one
01:26:04 way it may even get harder because of
01:26:06 what people say
01:26:08 towards you
01:26:10 know but
01:26:11 you know what
01:26:13 that’s nothing compared to the piece
01:26:15 that Yahweh can give you
01:26:19 there’s nothing like knowing that the
01:26:21 course that you are pursuing but
01:26:24 lectures
01:26:26 six
01:26:27 he he
01:26:31 uh it talks about in here
01:26:35 um uh
01:26:37 okay it’s probably here uh maybe we’ll
01:26:40 just start here but uh just a quick
01:26:43 um quick overview it is because of this
01:26:47 sanctification calling election made
01:26:49 sure is another name for it
01:26:52 that
01:26:54 the Ancients could withstand
01:26:59 the persecutions that they went through
01:27:02 and would not deny because of the
01:27:05 greatness of that promise
01:27:10 so I I’m just going to take a guess uh
01:27:13 I’m gonna start with nine
01:27:15 in fact casually actually do you want to
01:27:17 read it so I’m not always talking
01:27:20 sure
01:27:21 let’s see
01:27:24 let’s see make sure I’m not muted okay
01:27:26 we’re good
01:27:27 it was an offering sacrifices that Abel
01:27:30 the first martyr obtained knowledge that
01:27:33 he was accepted of God and from the days
01:27:36 of righteousness real quick so
01:27:40 that event was Passover he was keeping
01:27:44 Aura so
01:27:47 uh and this kind of gets into how uh
01:27:52 Samuel taught us that Yahweh wants
01:27:54 obedience over sacrifice because even
01:27:57 you go look at uh Cain here right Cain
01:27:59 gave the wrong sacrifice in fact
01:28:04 if you want to read into this huh
01:28:10 Abel gave his flesh to have the law
01:28:12 written upon him
01:28:15 where Cain he took stuff of Satan’s
01:28:19 domain
01:28:20 and tried to offer that
01:28:25 they were both
01:28:27 exposing
01:28:30 their true nature was it of the Dust
01:28:34 where the vegetables come from
01:28:37 or the flesh
01:28:39 where God wants his law written
01:28:45 Abel
01:28:51 had it written on his flesh and he gave
01:28:54 it
01:28:56 where it came
01:28:59 he loved wickedness and that’s why he
01:29:01 gave the things of the domain of Satan’s
01:29:03 the Dust
01:29:04 okay okay
01:29:09 so let’s keep going
01:29:12 hey
01:29:14 um and from the days of righteous Abel
01:29:17 to the present time the knowledge that
01:29:19 men have that they are accepted in the
01:29:21 sight of God is obtained by offering
01:29:23 sacrifice
01:29:25 and in the last days before the Lord
01:29:27 comes he is to gather together as Saints
01:29:29 who have made a covenant with him by
01:29:32 sacrifice
01:29:34 Psalms 50 3-5 Our God have made a
01:29:39 covenant no Our God shall come and shall
01:29:42 not keep silence a fire shall devour
01:29:45 before him and it shall be very
01:29:48 tempestuous round about him he shall
01:29:52 call to the heavens from above and to
01:29:54 the Earth that he may judge his people
01:29:56 gather my Saints together unto me those
01:30:00 that have made a covenant unto me by
01:30:03 sacrifice
01:30:04 and that sacrifice is keeping the law
01:30:09 because it it can be hard
01:30:14 but it is worth it
01:30:16 um
01:30:17 the interesting thing is is that there
01:30:19 are
01:30:20 still outside of Moses sacrifices which
01:30:24 are prescribed oh yes yes uh and uh
01:30:29 Joseph Smith teaches that so does Paul
01:30:32 in fact Paul did the Nazarite vow which
01:30:34 includes animal sacrifice
01:30:36 um I think that’s acts 21 22-ish area
01:30:41 um but there’s a difference between
01:30:45 um
01:30:47 that in the law of Moses the law of
01:30:49 Moses is primarily the two daily lamps
01:30:51 right and so yeah and so and so
01:30:54 sometimes
01:30:56 and so so that’s that that keeping the
01:31:00 law that sacrifice of keeping the law
01:31:02 made it just uh ironically may require
01:31:05 something but right well you know
01:31:08 Yeshua stated
01:31:10 that if you don’t love me
01:31:12 by keeping my Commandments over even
01:31:16 your own spouse
01:31:18 you’re not fit for the Kingdom right yep
01:31:22 um and that that is a sacrifice
01:31:24 yes uh
01:31:27 and even just the world peer pressure
01:31:29 it’s hard in fact I do believe it’s
01:31:32 gonna get harder
01:31:34 and so I think this is where it gets
01:31:38 uh yeah yeah you don’t have to but go
01:31:41 ahead you can finish your resume don’t
01:31:42 have to give up a truck
01:31:46 no it requires it requires your broken
01:31:50 heart and contrary Spirit which is found
01:31:53 in obeying portal right
01:31:56 um so what I wanted to say this kind of
01:31:58 gets into
01:32:01 um the 10 virgins right these are actual
01:32:04 10 believers
01:32:08 uh the question is
01:32:10 how dedicated were they
01:32:13 to Yahweh in his ways
01:32:17 because if you wait the last minute
01:32:21 to gain the strength and the conviction
01:32:23 to keep the law
01:32:25 it’s too late because it’s not going to
01:32:27 happen all at once it takes time that’s
01:32:30 why there’s the two events
01:32:33 baptism of fire judgment I found that
01:32:38 you want to start keeping my ways
01:32:41 baptism of the Holy Spirit
01:32:44 sanctifications you are now keeping my
01:32:47 ways
01:32:49 it takes
01:32:51 the honeymoon in fact this could even
01:32:53 get the honeymoon right we
01:32:55 um most of it or yeah most of us here
01:32:58 have been married honeymoon stage when
01:33:00 you first get into the marriage it’s
01:33:02 wonderful right
01:33:04 but that wears off after a little bit
01:33:07 although you still love them
01:33:10 uh
01:33:11 they’ll start to get on your nerves a
01:33:13 little bit and this is where it comes to
01:33:15 test
01:33:16 did you really mean to do that Covenant
01:33:19 or did you just do it because you
01:33:22 thought it was cool and Nifty at the
01:33:24 time
01:33:25 this is a wheel tester now that you’ve
01:33:28 passed the honeymoon stage
01:33:30 will you endure to the end
01:33:33 will you do it even when it’s hard
01:33:38 um and and
01:33:39 for things that are coming up soon
01:33:44 will you do it
01:33:47 even though you should die in Jacob’s
01:33:49 trouble
01:33:51 yeah
01:33:54 it this will be a big tester uh are you
01:33:57 in it for the honeymoon
01:34:00 are you in it because of real love
01:34:04 right
01:34:08 anyways uh I I think are we on 10 I
01:34:12 forget uh we almost got there I think
01:34:16 actually did we get through nine
01:34:19 did we I can’t did uh did we finish line
01:34:22 Kesley yep yeah okay Zack
01:34:32 those then who make the sacrifice who
01:34:35 have the testimony that their course is
01:34:38 pleasing in the sight about him
01:34:40 those who have this testimony
01:34:42 will have faith to lay hold on eternal
01:34:45 life okay I think that’s important right
01:34:47 there Faith to hold on to eternal life
01:34:51 either to the end
01:34:54 now
01:34:55 um
01:34:56 I know some people want to make that
01:34:58 statement sound easy
01:35:01 it is and it isn’t right because when
01:35:03 you have the piece it is easy but at the
01:35:05 same time it’s not because of the peer
01:35:08 pressure
01:35:10 um of spouses family friends
01:35:14 the majority of society
01:35:16 it you could have all these reasons to
01:35:19 cave in
01:35:21 but
01:35:22 hold on
01:35:24 Eternal onto
01:35:26 eternal life that’s enduring to the end
01:35:30 right and that what did what made that
01:35:32 possible the sacrifice that they then
01:35:35 got a testimony that their course was
01:35:38 pleasing in the sight of Yahweh
01:35:42 in that sacrifice of obedience
01:35:46 then they knew
01:35:49 God was pleased and so that gave them
01:35:52 the strength to endure to the end
01:35:56 okay Zach uh I think
01:35:59 uh somewhere I forget where you’re at
01:36:02 yeah
01:36:04 and it and will be enabled through faith
01:36:06 to endure until the end so faith I do
01:36:09 want to say
01:36:11 I I like to bring in how faith is trust
01:36:14 and diligence
01:36:15 so believe God
01:36:17 and then do it
01:36:21 okay go ahead Zach
01:36:23 faith in your team and receive the crown
01:36:27 that has laid up for them that loved the
01:36:30 appearing
01:36:31 or a large Yeshua of Messiah
01:36:34 those who do not make the sacrifice
01:36:36 cannot enjoy this space
01:36:39 it has men are dependent upon the
01:36:41 sacrifice
01:36:43 in order to attain this Faith maintain
01:36:46 this trust so
01:36:49 faith is trust and diligence so if you
01:36:52 haven’t
01:36:54 worked through the hard stuff when
01:36:56 people are pushing against you telling
01:37:00 you
01:37:01 that they’re going to leave you if you
01:37:03 keep doing this or Society is going to
01:37:06 hate you or whatever
01:37:08 did you really trust and endure
01:37:13 no
01:37:15 that is why you need to do that to
01:37:18 obtain the faith
01:37:20 to show that you have the trust and that
01:37:23 you will actually do it you actually
01:37:25 have to offer that broken heart contrite
01:37:27 spirit that’s found in surrendering your
01:37:30 mind at will to the minded will of God
01:37:35 which is is laws
01:37:39 AKA
01:37:41 Torah
01:37:44 not law of Moses because that’s been
01:37:45 done away with but even when law Moses
01:37:48 was still applicable it’s not something
01:37:51 that anybody could just go out and do it
01:37:54 was something that the Levites did yeah
01:37:56 Moses was still when law of Moses was
01:37:59 still applicable it was Torah all right
01:38:01 Torah law Moses was in addition to Torah
01:38:05 it was a judgment a historic judgment
01:38:08 correct is because they broke Torah
01:38:10 right after they promised to keep it and
01:38:13 after they had all those Miracles so
01:38:15 they had no reason to doubt right
01:38:18 um
01:38:19 but still it was not something
01:38:23 the general membership or general uh
01:38:27 Believers did it was something that the
01:38:29 Levites did now we could give uh animals
01:38:34 and lambs and goats cows to help with it
01:38:37 at special occasions even just the
01:38:39 normal ones
01:38:41 but we didn’t actually do it ourselves
01:38:43 and nor were those additional sacrifices
01:38:47 required but you could as a free will
01:38:49 offering right well the sacrifice of
01:38:53 broken heart the contrite spirit is one
01:38:55 that each person
01:38:56 can do individually and it is the
01:39:00 acceptable sacrifice more so than the
01:39:03 blood of beasts
01:39:05 are cars or trucks any of our personal
01:39:09 possessions the Broken Heart the
01:39:11 contrite spirit is the acceptable
01:39:14 sacrifice right and I do like how you
01:39:17 threw some stuff in there and and for
01:39:19 those who don’t know he’s quoting Paul
01:39:21 or summarizing Paul right
01:39:25 um that life
01:39:28 is
01:39:30 more important than an inanimate object
01:39:33 of a truck
01:39:35 yep in fact just on that point to try to
01:39:40 help drill this in one of the things
01:39:43 that goes with Passover is on the 10th
01:39:47 we’re supposed to take a lamb end
01:39:50 and befriend him
01:39:52 to make him our pet our family member
01:39:56 and then kill it
01:40:00 just like oh Yeshua was slain before
01:40:06 the foundation in the world we are
01:40:08 supposed to accept him make him our
01:40:10 family our best friend
01:40:16 in
01:40:18 he has to be put to death
01:40:20 and then we are to ingest him completely
01:40:25 yes
01:40:27 meaning we become we become what we eat
01:40:30 right we are ready to come like the
01:40:33 Messiah
01:40:37 and that’s not a prideful thing that is
01:40:40 a commandment from him
01:40:42 yep become like him that’s what follow
01:40:45 means is to imitate him right yeah
01:40:50 uh uh sorry Zach do you remember where
01:40:53 we’re at good food hi Big Mouth the last
01:40:57 part last sentence or so okay we’ll go
01:41:01 ahead
01:41:02 I can’t really hold upon eternal life
01:41:04 because the revelations of Elohim
01:41:07 they’re not guarantee unto them the
01:41:10 authority so to do
01:41:12 it was out of this guaranteed Faith
01:41:14 could not exist
01:41:16 okay so I I do think these two verses uh
01:41:19 get to the point that I wanted to get at
01:41:21 that
01:41:22 um
01:41:23 without
01:41:26 um
01:41:27 the sanctification
01:41:30 um you won’t
01:41:33 you won’t believe in the promises enough
01:41:35 when it gets hard
01:41:37 and that’s the problem with the
01:41:41 five bullish versions they kind of
01:41:44 believed but they didn’t fully embrace
01:41:46 it and so then life got hard or they got
01:41:50 busy
01:41:51 but then the trouble came
01:41:54 midnight
01:41:56 right yep and they weren’t ready
01:42:00 they did not have oil
01:42:02 right
01:42:03 and that’s not something
01:42:05 you can give to others that is something
01:42:07 you have to do yourself you can help
01:42:10 others
01:42:11 but you can’t give it to them you can
01:42:14 take them by the hand and teach them
01:42:16 and guide them and counsel them
01:42:19 but that is something they have to do
01:42:22 themselves in fact oil comes from
01:42:27 pressure
01:42:29 from the olives if you’re not willing to
01:42:31 go through the pressure
01:42:33 you will not get the oil
01:42:37 you have to go through the pressure to
01:42:39 get the oil
01:42:43 it’s not fun
01:42:45 yeah written but yeah I will tell you it
01:42:48 is worth it
01:42:51 those of us those of us who prescribe
01:42:54 and those of us who subscribe to a life
01:42:56 and Torah
01:42:58 are not are not doing so because
01:43:04 somehow that’s not uh for our own
01:43:08 benefit we’re not doing so for our own
01:43:09 benefit
01:43:12 I mean you know I mean you know for our
01:43:15 own uh well if you’re doing with the
01:43:18 right purpose you’re doing it because
01:43:19 you love the Messiah and you want other
01:43:22 people and you want other people that
01:43:25 the right purpose is because you want
01:43:27 other people to taste
01:43:30 right okay
01:43:32 so
01:43:34 um I I let me interject a little bit
01:43:36 Sermon on the Mount right Yeshua states
01:43:38 that we need to be
01:43:40 to shine our light
01:43:42 now also in 35
01:43:46 11 and 16 17 20 ish Yeshua states that
01:43:52 he made his father’s
01:43:56 Doctrine and teaching his own
01:43:59 and then he showed that
01:44:01 just like we need to take Yeshua our
01:44:04 promised messiah’s teachings and make
01:44:07 him our own and let that shine by our
01:44:10 works so that they will know where to go
01:44:14 and not only that more direct example if
01:44:17 you want a direct example look at the
01:44:19 highest dream the hyper takes of the
01:44:21 fruit he loves the fruit it’s delicious
01:44:25 it’s the most delicious thing he’s ever
01:44:27 tasted
01:44:29 and then he looks for for others that he
01:44:32 can share it with
01:44:34 he sees his family and he beckons to
01:44:36 them to come
01:44:41 it’s one of my favorite
01:44:43 examples and illustrations of this very
01:44:46 thing that we’re talking about here
01:44:48 right right that is a that’s a wonderful
01:44:50 example thank you Matt
01:44:52 um so to go along with this let’s look
01:44:54 at another uh section on lectures on
01:44:56 faith two
01:44:58 um Kessler you want to read 56 yeah
01:45:02 we have now clearly set forth how it is
01:45:05 and how it was that God became an object
01:45:07 of faith for rational beings and also
01:45:11 upon what Foundation the testimony was
01:45:14 based which excited the inquiry and
01:45:17 diligent search of the ancient Saints to
01:45:20 seek after and obtain a knowledge of the
01:45:23 glory of God and we have seen that it
01:45:26 was human testimony and human testimony
01:45:28 only that excited this inquiry in the
01:45:32 first instance in their minds it was the
01:45:34 Credence they gave to the testimony of
01:45:36 their fathers this tough this testimony
01:45:39 having aroused their minds to inquire
01:45:41 after the knowledge of God
01:45:43 the inquiry frequently terminated indeed
01:45:47 always terminated when rightly pursued
01:45:50 in the most glorious discoveries and
01:45:53 eternal certainty
01:45:55 the one thing I I a couple things bring
01:45:57 out it was the Credence they gave to the
01:46:00 testimony of their fathers or the people
01:46:02 who were their examples so if you’re
01:46:06 wishy-washy on something
01:46:09 uh do you think someone’s really going
01:46:11 to take what you say you believe
01:46:13 seriously
01:46:15 no they’re not going to give much
01:46:17 Credence to it so this is where
01:46:20 um if you’re not strong in your faith
01:46:23 and
01:46:25 Shema
01:46:27 Listen and Obey yeah
01:46:31 people will not give you Credence those
01:46:33 uh
01:46:34 you’re just another one that just says
01:46:36 one thing and does something else like
01:46:38 we do right because and that a lot of it
01:46:42 especially in the moral law everybody
01:46:45 knows what’s good but then they make
01:46:48 excuses
01:46:49 AKA they start being wishy-washy and no
01:46:53 one really gives them Credence if you
01:46:55 want someone to give you Credence to
01:46:57 to listen to your words to go to the
01:47:01 Messiah
01:47:03 don’t be tossed and turned by every wind
01:47:07 of Doctrine and unless
01:47:10 even when it’s hard sorry go ahead Ben
01:47:13 let your actions always be just
01:47:17 yes and that means
01:47:20 uh according to the law or AKA
01:47:26 yep
01:47:27 and if you if your actions are always
01:47:30 just
01:47:31 then people will begin to look up to you
01:47:36 but and that’s when that’s when the test
01:47:38 comes
01:47:40 for the uh for the teacher
01:47:43 yeah does it go to his head or does he
01:47:45 stay humble right yep
01:47:49 yeah does he start making things up
01:47:52 or does he still try to keep things uh
01:47:55 tied to the scriptures
01:47:59 because it’s uh
01:48:02 I’ll tell you
01:48:04 I’m scared
01:48:08 if if people start liking my stuff I’m
01:48:11 scared because am I going to get puffed
01:48:13 up or am I going to still keep trying to
01:48:15 tie it to the scriptures I hope I’ll
01:48:17 still keep trying to do this tying it to
01:48:19 the scriptures and I think I will but
01:48:21 you know what I don’t have a crystal
01:48:23 ball so I do try to check myself and
01:48:26 I’ll be honest I check myself with Ben
01:48:28 on occasion yeah I I I I will if I don’t
01:48:32 think there’s something in scriptural I
01:48:34 will definitely tell I will definitely
01:48:36 tell you that right well and then I tell
01:48:39 you it I ask you at times too right he
01:48:42 asks
01:48:44 I I asked him to test me at times
01:48:47 because
01:48:51 anyways we’re all susceptible to it okay
01:48:54 so don’t kid yourself
01:48:57 keep yourself tied to the Messiah and
01:49:00 his ways in scriptures and you will look
01:49:03 through all the prophets even Daniel
01:49:05 right even though he had he saw God he
01:49:10 still went to the scriptures to make
01:49:11 sure he knew what to do and how to do it
01:49:14 and do it correctly
01:49:16 right he didn’t go off and say oh I got
01:49:19 this new revelation I don’t need these
01:49:21 scriptures anymore
01:49:23 yeah that’s uh I I’ve got new revelation
01:49:27 I can abandon the starter kit yeah I I
01:49:29 got this higher law that now makes it so
01:49:32 I can
01:49:34 better law which actually is following
01:49:36 the pattern of Cults right but anyways
01:49:40 um
01:49:41 so when you learn calculus guess what
01:49:44 you don’t forget about algebra because
01:49:47 calculus still works largely on the same
01:49:51 principles yeah it does and you can’t do
01:49:54 calculus without algebra you can’t leave
01:49:57 your base behind
01:50:00 um and in the religious world that’s
01:50:02 called The Cult and cult
01:50:06 [Music]
01:50:10 pranks dude that’s a double standard
01:50:12 that’s hypocritical and occultish and
01:50:16 cult but anyways
01:50:18 um okay I think we can go back to Romans
01:50:20 7 now sorry that was a big
01:50:24 baby
01:50:26 hopefully it was uh insightful though
01:50:29 but yeah I
01:50:32 go there were some things said that I’ve
01:50:34 there were some things said that I felt
01:50:36 needed to be said
01:50:37 he said okay
01:50:39 um so you’ll have to forgive me but I
01:50:42 don’t remember the verse
01:50:44 I think it’s verse 11. okay uh I’ll take
01:50:49 a turn reading reading
01:50:52 um for sin taking occasion
01:50:55 denied the commandment and deceived me
01:50:59 and by it I was slain so this is pretty
01:51:04 much saying uh when I sinned I pretended
01:51:08 the Commandment did not exist right but
01:51:11 this actually this actually relate this
01:51:14 actually really explains something that
01:51:18 is not that has left extremely unclear
01:51:21 in the King James the basic King James
01:51:24 because today’s King James says
01:51:27 for sin take an occasion by the
01:51:29 Commandment
01:51:31 and deceive me
01:51:33 and by it slew me
01:51:35 so they’re saying that the original King
01:51:37 James is literally saying that the
01:51:39 Commandment killed him remember it’s
01:51:41 saying that the Commandments deceived
01:51:43 him and that’s not the case
01:51:46 um the problem was is when we’re sinning
01:51:48 we’re denying the Commandments that’s
01:51:51 right I do think that’s good that Ben
01:51:53 brought that out that this
01:51:56 really I think is one of many examples
01:51:59 that gives validity to the GST right
01:52:02 because the law came from Yahweh
01:52:06 would Yahweh deceive us
01:52:09 no and this is
01:52:12 mistranslations like this is what gives
01:52:15 turns people into atheists and gives
01:52:18 atheists fuel for hating those who
01:52:22 believe the scriptures
01:52:24 because of bad translations and bad
01:52:26 applications right
01:52:28 yep where this is one that you think
01:52:31 they would openly accept right but they
01:52:36 don’t
01:52:38 um and and it could go person by person
01:52:41 why they don’t but I do think ultimately
01:52:43 because they hate the law
01:52:45 because this is actually giving validity
01:52:47 to the law right yes
01:52:50 the Joseph Smith and the The Inspired
01:52:53 version Joseph Smith translation gives
01:52:55 validity to the law whereas the King
01:52:57 James version asks you to believe in a
01:53:00 Greek
01:53:02 as opposed to
01:53:04 a Hebrew Yeshua sure correct
01:53:08 um so I to me this is one reason to love
01:53:12 the jst of course I I I do seek to live
01:53:16 the law so that way I can become like my
01:53:18 Messiah like everybody claims they want
01:53:21 to do but don’t
01:53:24 um
01:53:25 so I
01:53:27 oh and but because I was deceived myself
01:53:31 actually I deceived myself right yep
01:53:35 I then sinned which I then suffer the
01:53:40 consequence of sin which is death is why
01:53:43 and this is why I slew myself
01:53:46 mm-hmm
01:53:49 because by saying
01:53:51 I I murder myself and I love verse 12.
01:53:56 virtually right okay then I love verse
01:53:58 12. okay you go ahead nevertheless I
01:54:01 found the law to be holy
01:54:05 and the Commandment to be holy and just
01:54:09 I.E leading to justification
01:54:13 and good
01:54:15 and there is nothing that can be good
01:54:19 but God
01:54:22 AKA these laws that people Reject lead
01:54:26 us
01:54:27 to the Messiah
01:54:30 to God Elohim right yeah
01:54:33 because they teach us because we will
01:54:35 not recognize him unless we are like him
01:54:38 and to be like him
01:54:40 we need to do things the way that he
01:54:43 would do them which is what the law is
01:54:46 teaching us to do and I just want to
01:54:48 point out once again I found the law to
01:54:51 be holy what is there’s only one thing
01:54:54 that’s only in the universe
01:54:57 that’s God right
01:54:59 I found the law to behold
01:55:01 I found a commandment to be holy
01:55:04 in the beginning was the word
01:55:07 and the Word was God
01:55:10 and the Word was with God and the Word
01:55:12 was God which in the beginning was with
01:55:15 God
01:55:16 I found the law to be holy and the
01:55:19 Commandment to be whole and just and
01:55:22 good
01:55:24 the law is the mind and will of God of
01:55:29 Elohim
01:55:32 yes
01:55:34 yes it is
01:55:35 and I’m great it is the Holy Ghost
01:55:39 it is the Holy Spirit
01:55:42 it is the holy Behavior
01:55:47 it is how we are supposed to guard
01:55:51 our action is how we’re supposed to uh
01:55:55 uh fence
01:55:57 our actions and this is why
01:56:02 he act we are to be bound to him through
01:56:05 the law
01:56:07 mm-hmm and this is what this points to
01:56:12 um
01:56:13 so yeah
01:56:15 anyways
01:56:17 I’d rather be bound to Yahweh than Satan
01:56:22 um and that’s really what everybody make
01:56:24 their own choice but but that’s the but
01:56:27 that’s why we’re here to choose whom to
01:56:30 whom we will be about
01:56:31 yeah yeah
01:56:32 because at death you’ve made your choice
01:56:37 and it will not change
01:56:41 um
01:56:42 all right so uh Kessler you want to read
01:56:45 13 mm-hmm
01:56:49 was then that which is good made death
01:56:52 unto me God forbid but sin that it might
01:56:56 appear sin by that which is good working
01:56:59 death in me that sin by the Commandment
01:57:02 might become exceeding sinful
01:57:06 so uh when that was good made death unto
01:57:09 me
01:57:11 so this is like a rhetorical question
01:57:13 right what defines what is good is not
01:57:17 going to put me to death right in fact
01:57:19 he even says the next part God forbid
01:57:22 making it obvious this is a rhetorical
01:57:24 question
01:57:25 but
01:57:27 it may appear sin by which is good so
01:57:31 it’s saying sin should be clear by the
01:57:35 good law
01:57:36 yep because without the law and in other
01:57:39 places uh Paul states that the law told
01:57:44 me what sin is
01:57:46 by which is good the law made clear
01:57:51 it made Sin appear it made me know what
01:57:55 sin is
01:57:56 yep uh which sin work is death in me so
01:58:01 when I when I when I sin when I break
01:58:04 the law I get the consequence which is
01:58:07 this the wages of sin is death
01:58:10 one thing that helped me start figuring
01:58:13 out Paul is the phrase God forbid
01:58:18 because you have to pay attention to the
01:58:21 words that come before it
01:58:24 yeah and then the description that he
01:58:27 gives afterwards because it’s literally
01:58:30 an encapsulation it’s like look this is
01:58:34 how this works
01:58:36 and it’s not a mystery
01:58:40 well sadly it is to many but
01:58:44 but this is how it could be it doesn’t
01:58:46 need to be if they would listen right
01:58:49 but this is how I started figuring out
01:58:53 some of some meaning
01:58:55 to Paul the different part of this to
01:58:58 Paul is this idea of that phrase God
01:59:02 forbid
01:59:04 because you have to realize you have to
01:59:06 think about it he uses it as a
01:59:08 structured tool yeah he uses it as a
01:59:10 structure
01:59:11 yeah I I I I can definitely
01:59:16 um
01:59:17 because it’s not just
01:59:19 and forbid that’s a pretty strong word
01:59:21 right
01:59:23 horrendously strong work yes
01:59:26 it’s taking the thought that was before
01:59:28 it and just
01:59:31 cutting it all yeah yeah it is
01:59:35 um so he he’s he’s painting a picture
01:59:38 with his words isn’t he if if we’ll look
01:59:41 at the whole thing right
01:59:47 I get
01:59:48 right oh that actually hurt my eye so
01:59:51 but if I get right on the picture right
01:59:55 you have no idea
01:59:57 what’s there
01:59:58 this is where you have to step back look
02:00:01 at the context
02:00:03 look at the feel look at what’s going on
02:00:06 to get the full picture to fully
02:00:09 understand it right because if you just
02:00:10 look I’m not going to do it again but if
02:00:14 yeah it actually did hurt my eye because
02:00:17 there’s a light there
02:00:18 um
02:00:20 if you just try to just look at one word
02:00:22 you’re going to become a sadducee and
02:00:25 Pharisee where they’re just twisting
02:00:26 that one word to justify their own sins
02:00:29 and uh and yeah they pop off everything
02:00:32 behind it everything in front of it
02:00:33 there you go you’ve got a principle
02:00:36 right yeah yeah
02:00:39 and it doesn’t work that way
02:00:42 you need the whole picture in fact if
02:00:45 nothing else if you don’t like that
02:00:46 analogy guess what Yahweh states that we
02:00:50 need to live by every word of Yahweh not
02:00:54 just your favorite words
02:00:56 all words okay
02:00:59 and you mean I can’t just get a daily
02:01:01 primer and just live by that word of the
02:01:04 that word if y’all went for that I I
02:01:06 guess you can the question is what Glory
02:01:10 do you want to be with yeah sure
02:01:13 or do you want to be somewhere else so
02:01:15 you can’t I don’t recommend it
02:01:21 he did give us agency right yeah
02:01:26 um yeah and so uh uh 14 is oh man I love
02:01:32 this chapter okay do you want to read
02:01:34 14. you’re uh sound pretty excited right
02:01:37 now or we know that the before we know
02:01:40 that the Commandment is spiritual
02:01:44 but when I was under law okay under the
02:01:48 curse of the law
02:01:49 I was yet carnal so because I was a
02:01:52 carnal man breaking the law right yeah
02:01:56 and so here we have here he now he’s
02:01:58 encapsulating everything that he’s laid
02:02:01 out for so far
02:02:02 commandment the law it’s spiritual so
02:02:07 living by the spirit is living by the
02:02:09 law when I was under the law I.E I’m
02:02:14 lower than the law I am the Dust
02:02:17 I was carnal sold under sin
02:02:20 Yeah well yeah and he sold
02:02:24 or not just tea not just Paul but I sold
02:02:28 myself
02:02:29 the curse of sin to get a fleeting
02:02:33 moment of pleasure
02:02:36 I sold myself
02:02:39 but now I am spiritual
02:02:43 for that which I am commanded to do
02:02:46 I do
02:02:49 which I’m commanded not to allow I allow
02:02:52 God
02:02:53 so I I’ll just say I know
02:02:57 people hate that I quote scriptures in
02:03:01 the law
02:03:02 but here’s Paul
02:03:05 in the jst where he is stating he’s
02:03:08 trying to stop people from doing it
02:03:14 I you know
02:03:15 pay with Paul
02:03:17 was hated in his day too I I mean
02:03:21 I I don’t remember where off top my head
02:03:24 we can find if we need to but Paul at
02:03:27 various time lists
02:03:29 all the times that he had to endure
02:03:32 where people were
02:03:34 not just saying words but throwing
02:03:38 literally throwing stones
02:03:41 and probably sticks right just to go off
02:03:44 of a little phrase but sticks and stones
02:03:46 may break my bones I don’t know if he
02:03:49 actually had a physical bone broken
02:03:52 because him trying to prevent people
02:03:55 from sinning
02:03:58 but he sure had Stones thrown at him
02:04:02 what I know is not right
02:04:04 I would not do
02:04:08 for that which is sin I hate
02:04:13 if then I do not that which I would not
02:04:16 allow
02:04:17 I can send unto the law that it is good
02:04:20 and I am not condemned
02:04:24 meaning
02:04:26 um he’s accepted Yeshua and he’s no and
02:04:30 he’s no longer sinning
02:04:33 right sanctification
02:04:36 because although
02:04:39 anything other than Celestial glory is a
02:04:44 degree of condemnation now those the
02:04:48 sons of perditions get it the most right
02:04:51 but even
02:04:53 the tea cholesterol people who receive
02:04:56 the celestial Glory or the Terre Lester
02:04:59 grow early they are condemned to varying
02:05:02 degrees right
02:05:06 now then it is no more I that do sin but
02:05:11 I seek to subdue that sin which dwelleth
02:05:15 in me this speaks to a process of
02:05:18 subduing this of subduing the natural
02:05:21 man through the spirit
02:05:23 right it’s him working on changing his
02:05:27 behavior uh and the things so sin calls
02:05:31 addictions of various forms uh and he’s
02:05:35 working on getting rid of that sin which
02:05:39 is in him right Yep this is talking from
02:05:43 going from justification to
02:05:45 sanctification
02:05:48 mm-hmm
02:05:50 and send it actually is to give hope to
02:05:52 then it actually should give hope to
02:05:54 everybody who is honestly seeking to
02:05:57 keep the law
02:05:59 but that has have but that has habits to
02:06:03 overcome right
02:06:05 cause here’s Paul probably
02:06:08 the greatest Apostle right was Paul
02:06:12 uh and he still had problems but you
02:06:15 know what he didn’t make excuses he kept
02:06:18 looking at it in fact I think this goes
02:06:21 along with what I said earlier that in
02:06:23 First Corinthians 15 is probably early
02:06:27 in his apostleship because he said he
02:06:29 was dying daily
02:06:31 uh I don’t know the orders of these
02:06:34 books but
02:06:36 um it the order doesn’t matter too much
02:06:38 but here he’s stating that I’m I am
02:06:40 working on getting rid of my sin and not
02:06:44 making excuses to let it stay in me all
02:06:47 right
02:06:49 for I know that in me that is in my
02:06:51 flesh well it’s no good thing
02:06:53 for to will is present with me
02:06:56 but to perform that which I which is
02:06:59 good I find not only in Christ
02:07:02 so this is talking about our our carnal
02:07:06 nachos that come along with the physical
02:07:08 and the Light of Christ which is
02:07:09 extended to us right right and that’s
02:07:12 the way to get out of it right to escape
02:07:15 it is the life and it’s in each and it’s
02:07:18 in each and every one of us and
02:07:20 depending on the heed that we give to it
02:07:22 it grows brighter and brighter
02:07:26 or darker and darker but I do want to
02:07:31 add here that light is another way of
02:07:34 saying Torah from the Tanakh and songs
02:07:37 yep
02:07:39 yes it is
02:07:41 for the good actually let’s let’s let
02:07:43 Zach read a little bit okay yeah
02:07:48 okay
02:07:49 I think we’re on Bold 20. so right
02:07:55 for the good that I would have done
02:07:57 another the law
02:07:59 I find not to be good therefore I do it
02:08:02 not
02:08:03 so this is where I believe he’s talking
02:08:05 about where
02:08:08 um
02:08:09 misapplications of the law or twistings
02:08:11 of the law and trying to
02:08:15 um
02:08:16 do good works to save himself right
02:08:20 yep
02:08:25 and so this I do it not
02:08:28 because he knows he can’t save himself
02:08:31 he knows he needs the Messiah because he
02:08:34 had sin just like I have yep and because
02:08:37 I’ve sinned once
02:08:39 no matter how big or small
02:08:42 I need the Messiah
02:08:46 okay next one Zach
02:08:49 about the evil which I would not do
02:08:52 under the law I find to be good but I do
02:09:00 so in other words
02:09:03 the law actually in many win in many
02:09:06 instances the pharisetical law actually
02:09:08 makes yahweh’s law out to be evil
02:09:19 is he talking about false Traditions
02:09:21 here like yeah
02:09:23 yes
02:09:24 okay
02:09:25 so but the evil which I would not do
02:09:29 under the law I find to be good so
02:09:36 here’s the law is criticizing here is
02:09:38 the second forum
02:09:44 so let me pause for a minute
02:09:49 so uh this first is a little
02:09:53 tricky for uh Paul’s tricky okay so
02:09:59 sometimes he’s trickier than other times
02:10:01 and this is one of the more tricky times
02:10:03 I would say so I thought about this a
02:10:06 little bit and that’s why I paused it
02:10:08 because this is a this is a tricky one
02:10:10 for me but I believe what’s going on is
02:10:13 this and I believe if we look at the
02:10:15 next verse it’s going to confirm it but
02:10:17 I’m just going to say it but the evil
02:10:19 which I would do when I was not keeping
02:10:24 the law because I was under the curse of
02:10:26 the law
02:10:28 wait sorry let me say that again
02:10:30 but the evil which I would not do under
02:10:33 the law because I’m keeping the law I
02:10:37 find to be good so this is a weird way
02:10:40 of saying that he’s keeping the law okay
02:10:43 so let’s read it again with that in mind
02:10:45 that he’s keeping the law because what
02:10:48 is good
02:10:49 it’s the law keeping he’s already
02:10:51 defined the law right right the law
02:10:54 tells us what is good but the evil which
02:10:57 I would not do while keeping the law I
02:11:01 find to be good because now he’s keeping
02:11:04 the law so I do believe let’s go look at
02:11:07 the next verse and it confirms this
02:11:10 now if I do that through the assistance
02:11:13 of the Messiah
02:11:15 for one he needs the assistance because
02:11:17 he broke the law so have I so there’s no
02:11:20 I probably broke it more than Paul but
02:11:22 anyways that he would not do that that
02:11:25 he would not do while he was under the
02:11:28 law or beneath the law or not keeping
02:11:30 the law right but through the assistance
02:11:32 of the Messiah because of the atonement
02:11:35 I would no longer be under the curse of
02:11:38 the law I am not a little I’m not I am
02:11:42 not under the curse of the law and it is
02:11:45 no more that I seek to do evil wrong but
02:11:51 to subdue sin that dwelleth in me to
02:11:54 subdue is to stop listening to my sinful
02:11:58 desires that are in my flesh
02:12:02 yep so I do believe that verse confirms
02:12:06 what I was seeing in 21 or jst 21 after
02:12:11 thinking about it for a bit because for
02:12:14 me that was a tricky verse
02:12:17 um so anyways Paul Paul’s tricky
02:12:25 um so hey Matt are you willing to read
02:12:27 for a little bit
02:12:29 sure okay
02:12:32 we’re right here on jsg yes
02:12:36 I find then that under the law at that
02:12:40 time when I would do good
02:12:44 do good the evil was present with me for
02:12:47 I Delight in the law of God after the
02:12:51 inward man or basically doing it
02:12:54 to fulfill
02:12:56 that little thing inside of us that says
02:13:00 man this feels good to do good
02:13:03 I know we’re we’re you’re getting just
02:13:05 just for the quick
02:13:07 um yeah yeah for the for the fact that
02:13:10 people are seeing me doing good yes or
02:13:13 something along those lines you’re not
02:13:15 you’re doing it you’re doing good for
02:13:18 the wrong reason which Moroni 7 and
02:13:22 Torah actually states that if you do it
02:13:25 for the wrong reason it’s still
02:13:27 accounted to you for evil
02:13:29 is correct
02:13:31 24. and now I see another law even the
02:13:36 Commandment of Christ and it is
02:13:38 imprinted in my mind
02:13:41 but my members are warring against the
02:13:44 law of my mind and bringing me into
02:13:47 captivity to the law of sin which is in
02:13:50 my members
02:13:52 and if I subdue let me just say this is
02:13:55 basically saying that my flesh wants me
02:13:59 to sin although my heart or mind because
02:14:03 heart and mind are connected in the
02:14:05 Hebrew thought right because you think
02:14:06 from the heart
02:14:08 um
02:14:09 I want to keep the law
02:14:12 but this is where the spirit is weak
02:14:16 when the
02:14:19 flesh is our weakness I give unto and
02:14:23 weakness that they may be made and that
02:14:25 they may be humbled
02:14:27 yeah I was trying to quote something but
02:14:28 I was being bad at it from the New
02:14:30 Testament but anyways but the basic idea
02:14:32 is the flesh is weak and it wants the
02:14:35 sinful desires and are sometimes our
02:14:38 spirit our hearts
02:14:40 our core give in to it right
02:14:44 is what it’s bringing up okay and if I
02:14:48 subdue not the sin which is in me but
02:14:51 with the above with the flesh serve the
02:14:53 law of sin
02:14:55 oh Wretched Man that I am who shall
02:14:59 deliver me from the body of this death
02:15:01 right I so basically he’s saying I’m not
02:15:05 going to listen to the sinful desires
02:15:07 that’s in me right
02:15:10 because my flesh wants to sin
02:15:15 and but when I do sin
02:15:18 I feel like a Wretched Man right but who
02:15:21 shall deliver me from the body of this
02:15:24 death
02:15:25 I bring out death because the wages of
02:15:28 sin is death
02:15:30 I think Yahweh through Yeshua
02:15:35 our Lord then that so with the mind
02:15:39 I myself serve the law of God and I
02:15:44 think it’s important what he crossed out
02:15:48 because that when he crossed out really
02:15:51 Buddies the waters
02:15:54 and you get rid of that
02:15:58 yeah see clearly
02:16:02 clears a lot in this chapter right yeah
02:16:08 so
02:16:09 [Music]
02:16:10 um
02:16:11 is there any standing questions that we
02:16:14 may have not answered for you Kesley
02:16:16 from this reading
02:16:20 you see why I love this chapter yeah
02:16:22 it’s good but that makes it so much more
02:16:26 clear now I think I was
02:16:28 I think it’s really important to be you
02:16:30 know be able to point out that it’s when
02:16:33 he’s under the curse of the law because
02:16:34 he says a lot just under the law yeah I
02:16:37 think one of Paul’s favorite words is
02:16:40 law
02:16:41 yeah
02:16:43 he’s talking about seven different laws
02:16:46 in this one single chapter yeah
02:16:51 he didn’t preface his words law too much
02:16:55 um and I think a lot of it’s because of
02:16:57 he figures people would get it from
02:16:59 context because
02:17:01 he wrote to teachers not to brand
02:17:06 spanking new converts who didn’t know
02:17:08 the law
02:17:11 even in the beginning of this one right
02:17:13 let’s just go review I speak to them
02:17:16 that know the law he’s not speaking to
02:17:19 brand spanking converts he’s speaking
02:17:22 people with understanding I do not
02:17:24 believe that this letter was ever read
02:17:26 over a Pulpit no this was to the leaders
02:17:29 to give leaders guidance yeah that’s
02:17:32 what I believe Paul was a teacher of
02:17:34 teachers he was not a teacher of I so he
02:17:38 brought new people in but I do think the
02:17:41 approach that I know the approach he
02:17:43 took for new converts versus helping
02:17:47 Leaders with their new congregations
02:17:49 were was different approaches
02:17:52 because of the different levels of the
02:17:55 law that people had
02:17:58 mm-hmm
02:18:00 so
02:18:02 yeah well uh that is I I just I just
02:18:06 love this chapter because it’s uh when
02:18:09 you when it’s understood correctly
02:18:12 um
02:18:14 it really sets in place a relationship
02:18:16 to the law
02:18:18 it’s a great companion piece for Dr New
02:18:21 Covenant section 88.
02:18:23 it’s um
02:18:25 you you just
02:18:30 you see the relationship
02:18:33 between
02:18:35 those who offer the broken heart
02:18:37 contrite spirit the law the law for
02:18:40 those who offer a broken heart contract
02:18:42 Spirit and the law for those who are
02:18:43 seeking to be alone with themselves
02:18:45 yeah
02:18:47 yeah and therefore are under the law
02:18:50 which means they are the dust or another
02:18:53 way Paul says that they like to serve
02:18:55 the law of sin I mean yes like to sin
02:19:00 Okay so
02:19:03 especially when we first start
02:19:06 um rooting these desires out of us we
02:19:08 all still kind of want to sin while
02:19:10 we’re working it out right
02:19:12 um but as we get Sanctified we’ll get to
02:19:15 the point where it disgusts us
02:19:18 mm-hmm
02:19:19 especially while you’re fighting you
02:19:21 still kind of like it right yeah
02:19:25 I’ll be honest for me there’s times I
02:19:27 I’ve wanted to give in
02:19:30 um didn’t because I want to endure to
02:19:31 the end and get it rooted out of me but
02:19:33 when you first start
02:19:35 it’s there
02:19:37 and that’s what Paul would call this
02:19:40 serving the law of sin
02:19:42 but Paul loves the word law yes
02:19:47 well and the the thing that I noticed
02:19:49 with a lot of people who think they’re
02:19:51 teaching about repentance
02:19:54 they actually tend to avoid the words of
02:19:56 Paul
02:19:59 yeah they don’t understand them they may
02:20:01 take Snippets here and there right then
02:20:04 well then take it out of context but we
02:20:06 we just expounded a whole chapter
02:20:09 and
02:20:12 it all went together with the expounding
02:20:14 right yep
02:20:16 um and it all fits into the rest of the
02:20:18 word instead of trying to set up
02:20:21 a lawless dispensation
02:20:27 yeah well if you think it’s a lawless
02:20:29 dispensation you’re either going to the
02:20:33 tea lestrol or sorry bad habit you’re
02:20:36 either going to receive Celestial Glory
02:20:39 or go to hell with the sons of
02:20:41 perditions because you are a son of
02:20:42 perdition but anyways
02:20:45 um
02:20:46 well because you took that which was of
02:20:49 God through it you know threw it in the
02:20:51 dung pit and then squashed it around
02:20:53 right you you you’re denying
02:20:56 well you’re committing the sin of the
02:20:58 the Holy Ghost denying the holy ghost or
02:21:01 the holy
02:21:03 Spirit which is the holy Behavior right
02:21:08 uh and that understanding actually makes
02:21:10 that phrase a lot more
02:21:12 understandable it’s not a mystery
02:21:14 anymore but anyways here let me pause
02:21:16 for a minute
02:21:19 okay so there’s a pattern
02:21:23 um with the mining and strong one I’ve
02:21:25 been noticing and I’ve had an inkling to
02:21:29 something
02:21:30 and I I think I have
02:21:33 um some support for my inkling right now
02:21:36 okay so
02:21:39 um if we go into Genesis specifically
02:21:43 jst Genesis 18 and 19. I don’t have the
02:21:47 verse off the top of my head but there
02:21:50 were three men
02:21:53 that went to uh Sodom right yes yes and
02:21:58 what do those three men do
02:21:59 they call they sealed the curses for the
02:22:05 sins that they committed which is the
02:22:07 ceiling power right yes okay now
02:22:12 none of those three in the record died
02:22:15 okay
02:22:17 no what uh when we go look at
02:22:19 Revelations 11 we have the two witness
02:22:23 there’s a focus on two witnesses okay
02:22:27 those guys
02:22:29 pronounce how they’re everybody’s being
02:22:32 wrong in fact even
02:22:34 um here I’m going to Sidetrack a little
02:22:36 bit
02:22:38 I gotta remember where everything’s at
02:22:40 uh it’s right here
02:22:42 um but one of the things they do
02:22:44 they breathe fire out of their mouth now
02:22:48 fire
02:22:50 is symbolic of judgment if it’s coming
02:22:54 out of their mouth guess what that is
02:22:56 the ceiling power
02:22:59 these two witnesses have the ceiling
02:23:02 power
02:23:04 and their judgment that they pronounce
02:23:07 that came out of their mouth
02:23:10 devoured their enemies AKA they were put
02:23:14 to death just as Peter put the two Liars
02:23:18 to death
02:23:20 in the ceiling power
02:23:22 so when these people are coming after
02:23:25 the
02:23:26 big Ephraim and Judah servants
02:23:31 they know the law and God trusts them so
02:23:35 much they gave him the ceiling power
02:23:37 that they’re speaking fire judgment from
02:23:40 their mouth
02:23:42 and it’s happening just as it did with
02:23:44 Peter right there because of words okay
02:23:47 and you there it’s down here more too
02:23:49 but that’s the main point on that part
02:23:52 uh they also yeah they also uh
02:23:56 they also call down the judgments of God
02:23:58 and the stoning and the yes yes they’re
02:24:00 they’re the ones that’s gonna
02:24:03 um just like with uh
02:24:05 and JC Genesis 19
02:24:09 um
02:24:09 those three servants
02:24:12 that group someone I think it was just
02:24:14 one but the account doesn’t actually
02:24:16 state but one of those servants called
02:24:20 down that hail storm
02:24:24 yeah or to Stone them for breaking the
02:24:27 law right
02:24:29 um
02:24:30 now
02:24:33 here’s the other part here in
02:24:36 Revelations it’s two
02:24:38 I’ve had an Inkling
02:24:41 that the third servant
02:24:44 would be the one
02:24:46 to do the Lazarus event after
02:24:50 Yahweh let the crowd kill them
02:24:54 because if you go look at Revelations 11
02:24:56 they die and they come back alive
02:24:59 and I do believe it’s a Lazarus event
02:25:02 because I believe Isaiah 52 talks about
02:25:06 how the mighty and strong one is going
02:25:08 to be a missionary which would require
02:25:10 that somebody call it yes someone has to
02:25:15 be there who will also have
02:25:18 at least some ceiling power to raise
02:25:21 them back from the dead
02:25:23 now
02:25:25 um
02:25:28 so
02:25:29 I I I’m saying his name wrong so here
02:25:32 here are some things that I have to
02:25:34 support this
02:25:35 ins that healed Paul okay
02:25:39 so I see Paul as a half mighty one okay
02:25:45 I see John the Baptist the first half
02:25:50 the half that calls people to make the
02:25:54 past straight and he died okay just like
02:25:58 um the two witnesses in Revelations 11.
02:26:01 now in this case
02:26:04 uh John the Baptist did stay dead okay
02:26:07 now these four Shadows are not perfect
02:26:10 okay we’re gonna need to keep this in
02:26:11 mind but Paul
02:26:14 was harmed right yes he lost his sight
02:26:20 ananias am I saying that name right yeah
02:26:22 now ananias is the word yeah yeah I’m
02:26:26 sure I spelled that wrong I’m not
02:26:27 Spelling’s not my strong point
02:26:30 um but uh Yahweh commanded him to go
02:26:34 heal Paul so that he can then go be your
02:26:37 apostle
02:26:41 that’s what’s going to happen with the
02:26:43 mining strong one and his primary
02:26:46 partner
02:26:48 they’re gonna get raised by the Third
02:26:52 so that they can copy missionaries
02:26:56 to bring more people to the Messiah
02:26:59 yeah
02:27:01 which I’m sure they’re going to want to
02:27:02 do
02:27:04 um
02:27:05 now another instance so
02:27:08 here is another Mighty and strong one or
02:27:11 Elias in the scriptures Moses right
02:27:16 so most of the time with Moses raising
02:27:20 the staff
02:27:21 this is one of the favorite events for
02:27:25 talking about faith right but here’s
02:27:28 another thing
02:27:30 um
02:27:31 this was during a battle right
02:27:33 and whenever his arms dropped the
02:27:36 children of Israel were were being
02:27:39 they they were put to the there put the
02:27:42 flight yeah yeah they were being killed
02:27:45 now yeah uh but my main point here with
02:27:48 bringing out the battle art Revelations
02:27:50 11 is a battle so to speak right not
02:27:54 exactly but the people are fighting
02:27:57 against these two servants
02:27:59 okay and now here are
02:28:03 two other servants that’s racing Moses
02:28:08 just like raising from the dead
02:28:12 okay now I may be stretching it but I do
02:28:15 think as you put all these together I
02:28:17 don’t think it is a stretch I think it
02:28:19 is the actual truth but one on its own I
02:28:22 can understand being in stress now
02:28:24 another one
02:28:25 that I have is Nephi
02:28:29 in third Nephi
02:28:32 he’s a mighty and strong one also in
02:28:34 fact you’ll see him in third Nephi 11
02:28:37 Yeshua calls him to be an apostle oh no
02:28:41 way it’s or 35 12. anyways that that
02:28:44 area sorry if I’m off a tiny bit
02:28:48 I believe it’s 11. it’s 11. well it
02:28:52 might be end 11 beginning of 12. so
02:28:54 maybe I’m both they’re both part of it
02:28:56 probably but anyways that’s a side track
02:28:58 it’s right there
02:29:00 um but here just before he was called to
02:29:03 an apostle he raised his brother from
02:29:08 the dead
02:29:10 now I do understand this is not a
02:29:13 perfect type but it is a type
02:29:15 okay
02:29:17 another one that I don’t have here
02:29:20 um but I do know it
02:29:22 um Elisha
02:29:25 raised
02:29:28 a little child well I don’t know about
02:29:30 little but
02:29:31 child from the dead and we are to have
02:29:34 faith like little children right
02:29:37 and so here is a whole bunch of Mighty
02:29:40 and strong one foreshadows
02:29:43 that’s either something either raising
02:29:47 from the dead or something that’s close
02:29:50 to that
02:29:53 so I wonder what Elijah’s Miracle of
02:29:57 raising a child from the dead
02:29:59 uh foreshadowed because both Elijah and
02:30:02 Elisha there’s her followers he started
02:30:05 reading followers
02:30:06 yep that’s how I take that one
02:30:09 um because that one it was with the the
02:30:12 Widow right raised from the domain of
02:30:15 sin or Satan the best yeah that’s how I
02:30:19 see the one with the Elijah is bringing
02:30:22 the followers in the nation I see that I
02:30:27 can see that
02:30:28 um but I do think this one with Elisha
02:30:30 is foreshadowing uh Revelations 11. yeah
02:30:35 I do believe
02:30:37 I I mean I know I don’t have a hundred
02:30:39 percent support for this but I do see a
02:30:42 pattern for it
02:30:44 I do believe that third
02:30:47 person
02:30:49 uh that I see in various places is the
02:30:52 one that’s going to race him from the
02:30:54 dead
02:30:58 um so anyways that that’s my thought I
02:31:01 had this week on the mighty and strong
02:31:03 one well that’s really cool yeah
02:31:08 and I mean after how many uh
02:31:13 instances is it coincidental versus uh
02:31:18 teaching us something and that’s
02:31:20 something you have to decide on your own
02:31:21 because I I know a type
02:31:25 finding
02:31:27 is not a perfect science and the types
02:31:29 aren’t
02:31:30 right but when when Yeshua raised
02:31:35 someone from the dead he was there
02:31:37 personally right
02:31:39 [Music]
02:31:40 Yahweh needs righteous people
02:31:44 to enact what he wants here on Earth
02:31:48 every day every time somebody’s been
02:31:51 raised from the dead there was a person
02:31:53 there to call yes
02:31:55 and I see that
02:31:57 also need in Revelations 11.
02:32:00 so the only possible exception to that
02:32:03 might be
02:32:06 the uh righteous called forth from their
02:32:09 graves at the time of the resurrection
02:32:10 of Christ though he himself might have
02:32:12 done well he I think he’s just gonna
02:32:13 call him himself no I’m talking about
02:32:17 at the time that he rose oh at the first
02:32:21 coming the first coming well those
02:32:24 happened no but that was I think he
02:32:27 would have done that in fact along those
02:32:28 lines with the post I’m almost finished
02:32:31 with with what was it I think gesture
02:32:33 was the one that called it
02:32:35 yeah the plan is I got in between the
02:32:38 Sun and the Earth because it was not the
02:32:40 moon right I think Joshua called it
02:32:42 while he was on the cross just like
02:32:46 um I believe
02:32:48 uh why are you strong when his helpers
02:32:51 are gonna call it at the same general
02:32:54 period of Passover and first fruits but
02:32:57 yeah
02:32:58 well I mean here’s an interesting
02:33:00 thought with for him calling it when he
02:33:03 says it is Finnish
02:33:06 it’s AKA The Bondage of death is
02:33:10 finished uh so I I personally believe
02:33:13 that is referring to law of Moses
02:33:15 because it’s the law of Moses that was
02:33:17 finished yeah it was nailed to the cross
02:33:20 right that’s actually yeah the the all
02:33:25 the the judgments are paid basically so
02:33:27 all right
02:33:30 so he also when his spirit
02:33:34 departs his body there’s a tempestuous
02:33:39 earthquake that tears the veil of
02:33:41 thunder right right which would uh
02:33:45 a planet coming close by to the Earth
02:33:49 would yeah and it would also explain the
02:33:52 three hours of Darkness right right
02:33:56 um which I’m getting into with my what
02:33:59 was it post which hopefully will be done
02:34:01 soon but I what does soon mean right
02:34:04 anyways yeah we’re all operating under
02:34:07 the uh we’re all operating under the
02:34:10 biblical definition
02:34:11 yeah yeah it’s not that I’ve been lazy
02:34:15 is that I’m probably putting too much in
02:34:17 it but it’s anyways
02:34:20 um how many pages is it I heard it was a
02:34:22 book last time uh so right now it’s a
02:34:25 hundred eight and a half by eleven Pages
02:34:28 which makes it a 200 Page book
02:34:30 yes and this was supposed to be a short
02:34:33 blog post uh
02:34:36 you know for free on my blog I hope
02:34:38 people will still read it even though
02:34:39 it’s long but
02:34:41 um yeah that’s why it’s taking a while
02:34:43 sorry yeah well well that’s I think it’s
02:34:47 a good thing to it’s a good thing to
02:34:49 cover the basis
02:34:52 yeah yeah I’m putting a lot in there to
02:34:55 help people accept what I’m saying uh
02:34:57 yeah and so it’s not just me saying it
02:35:00 I’m bringing out sources
02:35:02 um End quotes and scripture and history
02:35:04 that supports it so yeah
02:35:07 so anyway
02:35:09 um
02:35:10 this this has been wonderful
02:35:14 and uh we have an early morning okay all
02:35:18 right so let me pause
