Summary:
Diving into Leviticus 19 and D&C 59. Leviticus 19 is the heart of the Law that was given to Israel on Shavu’ot. D&C 59 also delivered on Shavu’ot. The revelation of the Law is a manifestation of grace. Verse 2 gives the command that Israel is to be holy like YHWH Elohenu. We should not be repenting every single day. YHWH spoke to Moses who spoke to the Elders who transmitted the message to the people. Moroni 10:3-5 actually reveals how we can come to know the truth of Torah. 3 Nephi 12 shows that many will be blessed to believe on the words of others. Holy Ghost = Torah. Ephesians 6:12-18 paints the picture of the warrior of God. Principalities defined as the governments and powers of man. Truth equals Torah. This letter is patterned after the Hebrews particularly the high priest. Righteousness is keeping the commandments or Torah. The preparation of the gospel of peace is keeping Torah. Faith is trust in YHWH with diligent obedience to His commands. The helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit are combined in the same verse. Salvation is the helmet because our minds are centered in Yeshua. The Spirit is the word of God. Supplication in the Spirit is praying for the blessings promised in Torah. Deuteronomy 19:3 Fear should be revere. This is a literal restatement of two of the ten commandments that has deeper meanings. The mother is the called out assembly. The father is YHWH. Both are honored when we keep the sabbaths not just the weekly sabbath. I am YHWH Elohenu or I am YHWH claims lordship of the Sabbath. It also tells the reader that this is what I love or hate depending on what preceded its usage. Leviticus 19:4 This commandment is simply against worshipping images not against having them. Leviticus 19:5-8 Peace offerings. We are to do things of our free will for the right reasons. We are to eat the free will offering in the first two days. The three days specified for the peace offering are a prophecy of the second coming. If one has not consumed YHWH’s peace by the day of judgement then they are cut off from the people. Verse 8 is speaking of the sin against the Holy Ghost. Leviticus 19:9-10 Don’t covet and take care of the poor and needy. Leviticus 19:11 an expansion of the commandment not to steal. Dealing falsely is stealing. In Hebraic thought to lie is to steal information. Leviticus 19:12 Don’t swear falsely. Jesus never preached against the Torah. There is a bad translation in the KJV Matthew 25 and other translations contradict it. Leviticus 19:13 If you hire somebody to do a job for you pay them that day. Leviticus 19:14 a literal commandment with a deeper level of understanding. Don’t make lie harder for others. a connection drawn between Leviticus 19:14 and Matthew 5:22. We are not to judge other people’s relationship with God. We are to teach the law and repentance. Your knowledge of Torah is your power of discernment. The thought that someone has lied does not constitute a witness. In D&C 50 YHWH tells Joseph Smith to find evidence against the sinners in the church and throw them out. Why didn’t he just tell him who they were? Torah demands witnesses of which the inspiration that they exist doesn’t count as a witness. Leviticus 19:15. Justice doesn’t regard the outward appearance. Leviticus 19:16. To stand against the blood of your neighbor is to look for sin in others. Don’t start the rumor mill. See to your faults. Matthew 18 comes into play here. Leviticus 19:17. Not calling repentance equals hating your brother. Help others do better continually. Leviticus 19:18. Don’t hold grudges. Let go of things. Yeshua wants us to bless our enemies. Grudges are chains. Forgive and bless your enemies and the prisoners are set free. Leviticus 19:19. All examples in this verse are about not lying. The common people are not to wear the garments of the priest. Don’t make it look like you’re someone that you’re not. Keep my statutes. Leviticus 19: 20-22. Bond maid is a bond servant, not a slave. We did not have an answer for this situation at this time. Leviticus 19:23-25. Three years the fruit is uncircumcised. Circumcision was the punishment placed upon Abraham and those who received the priesthood from him. Trees are like people, symbolically. JST Genesis 17:3-12. It makes Moroni 8 make more sense. Little children are redeemed with Yeshua not judged by works. First fruits in year four/ 4th year baptism=dedicated to YHWH. after that their fruits are their fruits. Leviticus 19:26-28. 26 is talking about the practice of witchcraft. 27 is talking about ritual self-mutilation. 28 is about tattoos and cuts for the dead. Tattoo ink is poison. Leviticus 19:29. Don’t be a pimp or a sex worker. Leviticus 19:30. Three sabbaths: weekly, monthly, yearly. The followers are the sanctuary of YHWH until he puts His name upon a place. Paul taught from the heart of the law. Leviticus 19:31. Don’t deal with mediums. Leviticus 19:32. Honor the ancient of days. Adam will be the prince. Leviticus 19:33. Don’t make trouble with the stranger among you. Leviticus 19:34. Love your neighbor as yourself. Leviticus 19:35-37. An eye for an eye. thought for thought. desire for desire. Observe my statutes and judgments. The Law of Moses is a judgment but statutes and judgments is Torah. Torah is still valid in our day. Doctrine & Covenants 59 was received on the second day of Shavu’ot. It contains a rendering of the law. D&C 59:1. The eye single to YHWH’s glory is referring to our desires. It is a commandment to preach and call repentance. D&C 59:2. Those that live are the meek for the meek shall inherit the earth. Those who die in the true cause of Zion inherit a crown. resting from our labors happens at death for both the righteous and the wicked. This life is the time for men to meet God. Baptisms for the dead are invalidated by the inability of the dead to repent. D&C 59:3. Obeying the gospel and keeping the commandments are probably synonymous. D&C 59:4. Commandments are a crown. Revelations come in their time. A double emphasis is placed on diligent obedience. D&C 59:5. A reiteration of the first great commandment. D&C 59:6. A reiteration of the second great commandment as well as commandments 6, 7, and 8 from the 10. Kill is better stated as murder. D&C 59:7. All things means Torah. We are to thank YHWH for Torah. D&C 59:8. Broken heart and contrite spirit is another way of saying repent, Keep the commandments, and come under Yeshua’s covering. D&C 59:9. Unspotted from the world meaning holy. This revelation was given on a day that was both a yearly and weekly Shabbat and was the day before a moonly shabbat. Our sacraments are to be observed on sabbaths. Baptism is a sacrament. D&C 59:10. Sabbath requirements: Worship and don’t work. D&C 59:11. Keep vows in righteousness at all days and times. D&C 59:12. confessing sins to your brethren is confessing to the harmed party and YHWH. D&C 59:13. You are allowed to prepare your food on the sabbath. What you are fasting from on the sabbath are your worldly pursuits. Why fast from food when the bridegroom is with you?. D&C 59:14. fasting is rejoicing. D&C 59:15. much laughter is laughing about things which are sacred. D&C 59:16. Connecting the promise with verses 2 and 3 of section 59. D&C 59:17. The promises of Deuteronomy chapter 29 are promised. D&C 59:18-20. Everythin is made for the use of man but not in excess or by extorsion. D&C 59:21. Not confessing YHWH’s hand in Torah leads to not keeping His commandments which offends Him. D&C 59:22. The commandments we are to keep are according to Torah and the prophets. If it is written in Torah or the prophets we don’t need to ask if we should keep it, we should just do it. This revelation was given in answer to a question about when the sabbath was. YHWH’s answer? It’s in the scriptures. Figure it out. It was not yet time for the restoration of all things (Torah). From what Joseph Smith gave us we can have a knowledge of all things. One Mighty and Strong will come to restore all things. God wants you to use your head or you will never become like God. Isaiah 1:16-20. The way to reason together with YHWH is to reason in the Torah. D&C 59:23. Those who do the works of righteousness shall have Shalom in this life and eternal life in the world to come. D&C 59:24. YHWH speaks and Torah bears record.

00:02:12 right one he’s saying be like
00:02:18 me right yeah I am Holy you are to be
00:02:22 holy like me ye shall be holy I am Holy

00:02:30 uh and it’s getting more prevalent today
00:02:32 they think that they should be repenting
00:02:35 every single day um that is in no way
00:02:41 like Yahweh Elohim
00:02:43 Yeshua right um you get to you’re
00:02:46 supposed to get to the
00:02:48 point the uh the law is supposed to be
00:02:51 being the law is supposed to be being
00:02:53 written on your heart if the law is
00:02:55 written on your heart you’re keeping the
00:02:57 law therefore you you are in a state
00:02:59 with without
00:03:00 sin right and and the re the heart has
00:03:04 to do like what’s tender what’s most
00:03:07 important to you what you really
00:03:10 desire and if you really desire yahweh’s
00:03:14 ways so that you can be like
00:03:16 him you won’t be going after what
00:03:21 yahweh’s ways States is wrong sinful
00:03:26 right and this is one of the reasons why
00:03:27 I always pray now that my love for yah
00:03:32 will exceed my love of pleasures of the
00:03:37 flesh that’s a good one um and that’s
00:03:41 one of the things that I pray for uh now
00:03:45 another thing to bring out here speak
00:03:47 unto all the congregation of yasharel
00:03:49 and that’s actually shown how he would
00:03:52 do that before we come down to uh on in
00:03:56 Exodus 19 how he would do that would
00:04:00 speak he would speak to the elders the
00:04:02 elders would take it to the people
00:04:05 correct and there’s multiple places that
00:04:07 um show that pattern and you
00:04:11 see that
00:04:14 organization so so the facts of the
00:04:16 matter
00:04:20 are most people are not most people are
00:04:24 not
00:04:25 um most people are going to get the
00:04:28 instructions of the instructions from
00:04:30 the instruction from yaa uh second third
00:04:34 maybe even fourth or fifth
00:04:37 hand right um that doesn’t mean that
00:04:40 it’s not yah’s instruction and that
00:04:42 doesn’t mean that um that doesn’t mean
00:04:46 that it ought not to be paid attention
00:04:48 to just because uh you didn’t just
00:04:50 because ywa didn’t show up in your
00:04:52 bedroom say giving you a thus sayith the
00:04:53 Lord when you prayed for on your hour on

00:06:38 and he says great are you greater those 00:06:42 who believe you through your words right 00:06:45 something along those 00:06:47 lines you know more blessed are they who 00:06:50 believe who will believe on your words 00:06:52 blessed are you because you believe 00:06:53 because you’ve seen more blessed will be 00:06:56 those who believe on your words corre 00:06:58 right so so that is even going along one 00:07:03 verse um that goes along with what is 00:07:06 been is saying right but let let’s look 00:07:08 at these 00:07:11 um so uh I I’ll just read okay behold I 00:07:18 Moroni would exhort you that when you 00:07:21 shall read these things these records 00:07:25 This Book of Mormon okay if it be be 00:07:29 wisdom in Elohim that you should read 00:07:31 them you would 00:07:35 remember not that this came from God but 00:07:39 how merciful Yahweh hath been unto the 00:07:43 children of 00:07:46 men it’s it’s not remember the histories 00:07:49 that are in the Book of Mormon it’s to 00:07:51 remember how merciful Yahweh 00:07:55 is and what does it refer you back to 00:07:58 from the creation of 00:08:00 Adam it refers you back to 00:08:04 Torah right um now Torah was created 00:08:09 before Adam but uh it was also given to 00:08:13 Adam right um even down until the time 00:08:17 you shall receive the Book of Mormon and 00:08:21 ponder it okay so what is this it now 00:08:26 the Book of Mormon is plural here these 00:08:29 things things because it’s these records 00:08:31 as you can see in verse two right right 00:08:33 right this it is 00:08:37 merciful we and Ponder the mercy his 00:08:41 Mercy in our hearts right it’s not that 00:08:44 we’re pondering the histories in the 00:08:45 Book of Mormon right I believe in the 00:08:48 Book of Mormon and I believe in the 00:08:51 Bible but those both both those records 00:08:56 has a goal to teach us of yeh’s ways 00:09:01 such that we will do them 00:09:05 right um 00:09:08 and this pondering of the 00:09:12 mercy it gives you hope and 00:09:17 desire 00:09:20 and understanding Shalom and Shalom 00:09:23 and well the Shalom comes when you add 00:09:27 the doing but the ping it in your heart 00:09:31 um the when you ponder it in your heart 00:09:34 to me what what you see 00:09:38 um that means you’re pondering it in 00:09:41 your desires you’re pondering it in your 00:09:44 uh it becomes that which is this Mercy 00:09:49 becomes that which is most 00:09:52 desirable and 00:09:54 uh the fact that it is extended to 00:09:58 you lights a fire of love in 00:10:01 you that causes 00:10:03 you to want to keep all of his 00:10:08 Commandments 00:10:10 yeah 00:10:13 yeah because he loved you yeah right I 00:10:18 agree with you and the way we show love 00:10:21 back is keeping his Commandments 00:10:24 mhm okay and when you shall receive the 00:10:28 Book of Mormon I I exhort you if you 00:10:30 would ask Elohim the Eternal Father in 00:10:33 the name of Yeshua if these things are 00:10:37 not true so this is going off if you you 00:10:43 believe they’re true and you’re going to 00:10:44 go make sure that’s the case okay 00:10:49 right um and so that’s if you’re 00:10:54 thinking something’s um wrong and then 00:10:58 you’re trying to go ask God if it’s 00:11:00 true 00:11:03 he’s that’s just not going to work out 00:11:06 I’m sorry right that you’re you’re going 00:11:07 to receive made up your mind you’re 00:11:09 going to receive an answer according to 00:11:10 the deceitfulness of your 00:11:14 heart so and that goes along with this 00:11:16 next part if you shall ask with in 00:11:18 sincere heart real intent which is 00:11:21 meaning um you’re gonna act on the 00:11:25 answer 00:11:27 right um having trust in diligence in 00:11:30 the 00:11:31 Messiah meaning you trust what he says 00:11:35 and you will do it 00:11:38 right he will manifest the truth of 00:11:44 it oh wait a 00:11:48 minute it the mercy truth of it is Mercy 00:12:09 people and con and he’s show and it’s
00:12:13 showing that God is that God has not
00:12:16 only ever communicated with one group of
00:12:18 people oh I I I mean how if you think
00:12:22 God is talking to you or your preacher
00:12:25 right now how could you think that
00:12:28 seriously
00:12:31 right it just to me it’s never made
00:12:35 sense but anyways
00:12:37 um he will manifest the truth of his
00:12:41 Mercy unto you by the power of Torah oh

00:12:47 minute but it says the Holy Ghost yeah I

00:12:55 actually can transfer us over to um
00:12:59 Ephesians oh okay real quick before we
00:13:02 go there um the holy spirit so the holy

00:13:09 act so the reason that Yeshua has the
00:13:12 power he has is because he kept Tor yes
00:13:16 right and that’s where he gets his power

00:13:21 Torah and by the power of Torah meaning

00:13:27 it wait a minute didn’t Yeshua say to
00:13:30 know the truth of what I say you need to

00:13:39 doing
00:13:41 it then you will know the
00:13:44 truth of
00:13:46 Torah y you will know the truth after
00:13:49 you’re doing this is Yeshua said in the

00:14:03 Ephesians chapter
00:14:05 6 and we’re gonna go and we’re gonna go
00:14:09 here I I’m I actually want to paint the
00:14:12 whole picture of the warrior of
00:14:14 God and we’ll we’ll get so we’ll get
00:14:18 down to we’ll get down to verse 17 but
00:14:21 let’s paint that whole marvelous picture
00:14:23 that Paul uh paints for us of the
00:14:27 warrior of God it’s Warrior for God and
00:14:30 it says here 12 starting in verse 12 for
00:14:33 we wrestle not against flesh and blood
00:14:35 but against principalities against
00:14:37 powers and this is not we’re talking
00:14:39 we’re we’re not necessarily talking
00:14:41 about the a lot of people think that
00:14:44 principalities are talking about demons
00:14:45 and what have you but this is we’re
00:14:47 actually talking about governmental agen
00:14:50 the the the powers of man right against
00:14:55 can we look at principalities and
00:14:56 dictionary because I think that’s more
00:14:58 ideas
00:15:00 uh well okay
00:15:02 let’s um since you have it up yeah oh
00:15:05 yeah I do have it up so let’s make sure
00:15:08 that let’s go
00:15:10 there
00:15:14 principalities and you know that’s one
00:15:16 of the great
00:15:17 things I’ll just do the
00:15:20 singular
00:15:23 principality yeah there we go
00:15:26 bam Sovereign supreme power a prince one
00:15:30 invested with sovereignty territory of a
00:15:32 prince or the country that go gives
00:15:34 title to a prince superiority
00:15:37 predominance in scripture Royal state or
00:15:40 attire okay all right so it is
00:15:41 governmental power yep we are talking
00:15:44 about governmental Powers we are not
00:15:45 talking about wrestling we’re not
00:15:47 talking about spiritual warfare here
00:15:50 where we say our spiritual warfare
00:15:51 prayers and we um and we command for
00:15:55 baptisms of fire daily right so this is
00:15:58 not we’re talking about we’re talking
00:16:00 about wrestling that what we wrestle
00:16:03 against is not just man flesh and blood
00:16:08 but against the powers of this world
00:16:10 against the rulers of the darkness of
00:16:12 this world against spiritual wickedness
00:16:14 in high places against the false
00:16:18 religions wherefore take unto you the
00:16:20 whole armor of Elohim that ye may be
00:16:24 able to withstand in the evil day and
00:16:26 having done all to stand stand
00:16:30 therefore having your loins gir about
00:16:33 with truth like with the uh Roman the
00:16:36 Roman soldier they would have um they
00:16:39 would have a piece of armor that they
00:16:41 would gir about their waist the Greek
00:16:43 the Greeks did it too they had they
00:16:47 had that they would that would protect
00:16:49 their upper legs and their loin and
00:16:52 their and their loins so just a thought
00:16:56 here I don’t think this um letter is
00:16:59 pattern off of Roman um Armory as most
00:17:04 people put it I see this is uh like the
00:17:08 Hebrew and even the high
00:17:11 priest okay dirt your loins that’s when
00:17:15 they take up their kind of skirt the
00:17:17 linen breaches the linen breaches the Lo
00:17:19 skirt about trth the linen breaches yeah
00:17:23 um it’s where they take their skirt and
00:17:25 uh tie it up against their waist so they
00:17:27 can now basically have shorts
00:17:29 right so having your loins G about with
00:17:32 truth and having the breast having on
00:17:34 the breastplate of righteousness that
00:17:36 would be the uh the breastplate of the
00:17:38 high
00:17:40 priest yep the
00:17:42 ifod yeah okay yeah and your feet shod
00:17:46 with the preparation of the gospel of
00:17:50 peace but still the okay so the
00:17:53 breastplate of righteousness
00:17:54 righteousness is keeping the
00:17:56 Commandments yeah yes
00:17:59 your loin sped about with truth truth is
00:18:04 Torah and your feet Shaw with the
00:18:06 preparation of the gospel of peace is
00:18:09 there a is there a difference between
00:18:10 the gospel of peace and the preparation
00:18:12 of the gospel of
00:18:15 peace H not that I know off top of my
00:18:17 head um yeah I I I if we’re really
00:18:20 worried I I would go to Bible Hub and
00:18:23 see what’s going on there yeah we can do
00:18:25 that and not that I’m really worried I
00:18:28 just actually kind of interested um to
00:18:32 see if there to see if there might be if
00:18:34 there might be some interest something
00:18:37 in there Ephesians chapter
00:18:41 6
00:18:44 uh Ephesians 6 and what verse was that
00:18:48 well one thing that comes to mind as
00:18:50 you’re

00:18:55 um you need to keep the gospel before
00:18:58 you can start preaching it and keep it
00:19:02 is preparing to share but that’s one
00:19:04 thought and that and that would also and

00:19:09 very apt with the feet and your feet
00:19:12 fitted with the
00:19:13 Readiness with the Readiness let go look
00:19:16 at
00:19:17 Readiness because that’s going to be the
00:19:19 word in question right foundation firm
00:19:22 footing your feet firmly planted on the
00:19:25 Rock So to me that kind of goes with
00:19:28 what I was saying with the different
00:19:30 definitions of the word behind
00:19:32 Readiness keeping it first right y yeah
00:19:36 gotta keep it first before you can um
00:19:39 before you can preach it yep so that
00:19:42 yeah that’s actually I’m glad we looked
00:19:44 into that having your having your and
00:19:46 your feet Shaw with the preparation or
00:19:48 the
00:19:50 doing of the
00:19:52 Gospel the living of the Gospel yeah
00:19:55 yeah so uh just to tie it to Book of
00:19:57 Mormon
00:19:59 uh second Epi
00:20:02 31 um where after you get through the
00:20:05 gate you’re on the path right the feet
00:20:08 have to do with the path now that you’ve
00:20:10 gotten through the gate you need to keep
00:20:12 the path so you really understand it so
00:20:14 that way you can then teach it other
00:20:16 well this is actually going to be pretty
00:20:17 important and there here’s a question
00:20:19 that I want us to be thinking about in
00:20:21 relation to Doctrine and Covenant
00:20:23 section 59 when we get there uh is
00:20:28 difference between obeying the gospel
00:20:30 and obeying the
00:20:35 law oh
00:20:38 so I this is somewhat like a trick
00:20:41 question but taking account who and
00:20:44 what’s required for the different
00:20:48 uh receptions of different
00:20:52 glories um maybe so this somewhat
00:20:56 depends on what you want to define the
00:20:58 gospel as but if you define it as the
00:21:00 good news that Yeshua paid for our sins
00:21:04 there is a difference right I would

00:50:14 to grow food there are examples workers
00:50:18 in the Bible that aren’t growing their
00:50:20 own crops in fact we’ll take the parable
00:50:23 of the worker if they had their own crop

00:51:48 family and refusing to take care of it

00:55:50 at all because Yeshua is not going to

00:55:54 Torah right right um to swear correctly

00:56:48 to do some swearing right he will swear
00:56:51 by the name of yahwah he will swear as
00:56:53 yah liveth as y so if we’re not supposed
00:56:57 to swear and here’s this one guy that
00:57:01 everybody likes to claim they are or
00:57:04 they’re looking for him he’s
00:57:06 swearing yeah he is so what’s going on
00:57:11 people yeah so what’s up with
00:57:14 that so so the point so the so the point
00:57:18 is you may in fact the name of yaha was
00:57:23 used in greeting by the people
00:57:26 right and you can see that in the Book
00:57:28 of Ruth so y yep yep it’s there this

00:57:40 that swear that uh swear the swearing of
00:57:44 Oaths is

01:00:52 and whosoever shall say to his brother

01:00:57 shall be in danger of the
01:00:59 councel but whoo whosoever shall say

01:02:46 why you’d be in danger of the judges oh

01:02:54 yeah because you’re breaking the law but
01:02:58 who and but here is the deeper
01:03:01 Connection in that same verse of the
01:03:03 heart of the
01:03:05 law but whosoever shall say thou fool
01:03:09 judging someone to be spiritually
01:03:13 blind spiritually deaf and therefore it
01:03:17 is
01:03:18 okay for you to abuse them
01:03:26 shall be in danger of Hellfire right um
01:03:31 so this is uh yua stating you are not to
01:03:36 judge other people’s
01:03:38 relationship with me with different
01:03:42 people that is not your call right at

01:03:46 to help them learn what the law is and
01:03:50 to help them to repent of you’re right
01:03:53 of the ones that are deemed in Torah
01:03:57 that you can do that
01:03:58 on right because there there are laws
01:04:02 that we as men are not allowed to judge

01:04:22 speaks against this idea of discernment
01:04:24 being this uh magical radar thing that
01:04:29 helps you uh understand when somebody’s
01:04:31 lying to you discernment is actually
01:04:36 your your knowledge of Torah is your
01:04:39 power of discernment correct because
