Latter Days


(see also Second Coming, Last Days)

Latter Days is the latter, or last, part of the Last Days. The Latter Days will start with the first seal from the Book of Revelations, which goes along with how Nephi was told that John would be writing about the latter days. It will end with the glorious return of Yeshua the Promised Messiah to the whole world during Tabernacles of 2033 see Second Coming, after the wrath of the seventh seal from the Book of Revelations.

Ezekiel 38:14-23

28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;

Daniel 10:14 Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.

1 Nephi (LDS 15:13)(RLDS 4:16) And now, the thing which our father [Lehi] meaneth concerning the grafting in of the natural branches [tribes of Israel] through [to the end] the fulness of the Gentiles [Adam-Ondi-Ahem near the end of 4th Seal see Second Coming], is, that in the latter days [1st Seal through Second Coming], when our seed [descendants / Native Americans] shall have dwindled in unbelief, yea, for the space of many years [around 1,600 years], and many generations after the Messiah shall be manifested in body unto the children of men [First Coming], then shall the fulness [sanctification] of the gospel of the Messiah come unto the Gentiles [through Joseph Smith], and from the Gentiles unto the remnant of our seed [through Mighty and Strong One just before the 4th Seal see Second Coming]-

Daniel 10

Despite people claiming that Daniel 10 and Daniel 11 are connected they are not. If you don’t believe that, check the dates that go with Daniel 10:1 and Daniel 11:1. They are 3 to 4 years apart, depending on what time of the year they both happened, in exclusive years, and 4 years with inclusive years (see Inclusive Time for Hebrew time reckoning). With Daniel 10:1 indicating the year of 536 BC and Daniel 11:1 indicating the year of 539 BC, Daniel 10 happened after Daniel 11. It would be weird that the vision in Daniel 10 would be a preface to Daniel 11, when Daniel 10 happen chronologically after Daniel 11. Darius the Mede did indeed exist before Cyrus king of Persia.

Another reason that Daniel 10 is not an introduction to Daniel 11 is because of the Hebrew word “H0481: alam” in Daniel 10:15, means “to conceal, to hide, be secret” not “became dumb” as the KJV Bible translates “H0481: alam” to, giving the impression Daniel was not able to speak for a moment, instead of Daniel concealing the vision as the Hebrew word “H0481: alam” actually means.

SJR Daniel 10:14-15
14 Now I [Mighty and Strong One] am come to make thee [Daniel] understand what shall befall thy [Daniel] people [Israelites] in the LATER DAYS: for yet the vision is for [to happen in] many days [Second Coming]. 15 And when he [Mighty and Strong One] had spoken such words unto me [Daniel], I [Daniel] set my [Daniel] face toward the ground, and I [Daniel] became dumb {H0481: concealed it}.

Silencing Falsehood and Cultivating Godly Restraint (Psalms 31 and 39):
Psalm 31:18 pleads, “May lying lips be SILENCED; may they speak no more in pride and contempt against the righteous.” Here the verb expresses the plea that slander be forcibly STOPPED. In Psalm 39 David applies the same verb to himself: “I was SPEECHLESS and still; I held my peace, even from good… I have become MUTE; I DO NOT OPEN MY MOUTH because it is You who have done it” (Psalm 39:2, 9). The SILENCING of evil tongues protects the innocent, while the voluntary silence of the righteous displays trust amid discipline. Together the Psalms teach that speech is RESTRAINED either by divine judgment or by reverent submission, and that the believer’s tongue must be ruled by a heart that rests in God.
Messianic Silence in Redemptive Suffering (Isaiah 53:7):
Isaiah declares of the Servant: “He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He DID NOT OPEN HIS MOUTH” (Isaiah 53:7). The verb captures Messiah’s deliberate refusal to defend Himself during His passion. The Gospel writers echo this prophecy (Matthew 27:12–14; Mark 15:4–5; Luke 23:9), and 1 Peter 2:23 calls believers to the same pattern of trusting silence when reviled. Thus the word points beyond mere QUIETNESS to the victorious meekness of Christ, who conquers sin not by protest but by sacrifice.
Prophetic Sign-Acts of Judgment and Restoration (Ezekiel 3:26; 24:27; 33:22):
The Lord tells Ezekiel, “I WILL MAKE YOUR TONGUE STICK TO THE ROOF OF YOUR MOUTH, and you will be MUTE… for they are a rebellious house” (Ezekiel 3:26). The ENFORCED MUTENESS lasts until the fall of Jerusalem; then “your mouth will be opened… and YOU SHALL SPEAK NO LONGER BE SILENT” (Ezekiel 24:27; 33:22). SILENCE here functions as a living parable: when the word of God is despised, the word of God is withdrawn. Conversely, when judgment is complete and hope dawns, speech returns. The cycle warns that prophetic privilege can be lost through hardness of heart but will be graciously restored according to God’s covenant faithfulness.

YHWH told Nephi, son of Lehi, in 1 Nephi (LDS 14:28)(RLDS 3:252-253), that he was not allowed to write the part of his vision dealing with the latter days. In Ether (LDS 3:22,27)(RLDS 1:87,92), the brother of Jared was told by YHWH to seal, or in other words, to write what he saw and then not let anyone read it. Which, has the same effect of consealing the vision until the appointed time that YHWH has designated for it to be revealed. It is interesting that both Nephi and the brother of Jared saw visions about the latter days and were told to conceal it as Daniel was told to “H0481: alam” which means to conceal it. Considering how the KJV Bible translated “H0481: alam” in Daniel 10:15 to “became dumb” incorrectly, shows some credibility to the Book of Mormon in that these three preparer prophets, see Mighty and Strong One, receiving a vision about the latter days and they all were told not to share what they saw.

19 And I looked and beheld a man, and he was dressed in a white robe. 20 And the angel said unto me: Behold one of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 21 Behold, he shall see and write the remainder of these things; yea, and also many things which have been. 22 And he shall also write concerning the end of the world. 23 Wherefore, the things which he shall write are just and true; and behold they are written in the book which thou beheld proceeding out of the mouth of the Jew; and at the time they proceeded out of the mouth of the Jew, or, at the time the book proceeded out of the mouth of the Jew, the things which were written were plain and pure, and most precious and easy to the understanding of all men. 24 And behold, the things which this apostle of the Lamb shall write are many things which thou hast seen; and behold, the remainder shalt thou see. 25 But the things which thou shalt see hereafter thou shalt not write; for the Lord God hath ordained the apostle of the Lamb of God that he should write them. 26 And also others who have been, to them hath he shown all things, and they have written them; and they are sealed up to come forth in their purity, according to the truth which is in the Lamb, in the own due time of the Lord, unto the house of Israel. 27 And I, Nephi, heard and bear record, that the name of the apostle of the Lamb was John, according to the word of the angel. 28 And behold, I, Nephi, am forbidden that I should write the remainder of the things which I saw and heard; wherefore the things which I have written sufficeth me; and I have written but a small part of the things which I saw.

22 And behold, when ye shall come unto me, ye shall write them and shall seal them up, that no one can interpret them; for ye shall write them in a language that they cannot be read.

25 And when the Lord had said these words, he showed unto the brother of Jared all the inhabitants of the earth which had been, and also all that would be; and he withheld them not from his sight, even unto the ends of the earth. 26 For he had said unto him in times before, that if he would believe in him that he could show unto him all things—it should be shown unto him; therefore the Lord could not withhold anything from him, for he knew that the Lord could show him all things. 27 And the Lord said unto him: Write these things and seal them up; and I will show them in mine own due time unto the children of men.
