00:00:09 couple things on modal modalism
00:00:13 again um and so I
00:00:17 think so the first thing to maybe look
00:00:20 at
00:00:22 is how I see and I think is logical and
00:00:28 I’ll explain why in a minute
00:00:30 how
00:00:32 modalism is
00:00:34 merciful and
00:00:36 how uh Brite
00:00:40 godhead and Trinity is vengeful okay

00:00:47 so first of all let’s look at the
00:00:50 vengeful so in Godhead
00:00:53 Trinity and or Trinity there’s the
00:00:57 father telling the son you must go down
00:01:03 and partake
00:01:04 of
00:01:06 punishment to redeem others because
00:01:10 I want judgment I say somebody has to be
00:01:16 punished other than myself for my
00:01:19 children’s
00:01:22 sins okay all right
00:01:25 right versus
00:01:28 modalism
00:01:30 God
00:01:33 himself came down to Bear the punishment
00:01:37 of our
00:01:39 sins versus someone else commanding
00:01:42 someone else to go out and do it because
00:01:45 they’re not willing to do it themselves
00:01:47 but someone has to get it right that’s
00:01:50 more vengeful
00:01:53 versus I’ll quote abinadi in

00:02:01 himself yes yes yes came
00:02:04 down take upon the punishment took upon
00:02:07 himself flesh
00:02:10 yeah that’s

00:02:21 right where I I do understand what I’m
00:02:24 saying is how godhead and Trinity is
00:02:30 vengeful I do understand that’s
00:02:31 controversial and some people will
00:02:33 probably take it offense to that but I’m
00:02:36 not the only one that says that even
00:02:38 people who believe in the Trinity or the
00:02:41 godhead even bring out how this
00:02:45 comparison between these different ways
00:02:47 of looking at god
00:02:51 um that modalism is merciful because
00:02:54 it’s God
00:02:56 himself doing it to to help us
00:03:00 versus a
00:03:02 God just wanting
00:03:06 punishment right yeah and making someone
00:03:09 else take
00:03:10 it
00:03:13 yep insane you must take on all their
00:03:18 sins for
00:03:20 me
00:03:21 yeah it’s actually really it’s not just
00:03:24 vengeful it’s kind of selfish if you
00:03:26 think about it well especially since
00:03:28 they’re making someone else do it right
00:03:30 correct that’s what I’m saying yeah I I
00:03:33 would agree I hadn’t thought about the
00:03:34 selfless aspect but I I I would
00:03:36 agree people go make others go do the
00:03:39 hard things and then they get all the
00:03:43 glory the good thing which is what
00:03:46 happens in the Godden Trinity right
00:03:49 right right so yeah that is selfish so I
00:03:51 think that is another
00:03:54 uh can I say something real quick I was
00:03:57 about to say okay go ahead you say
00:03:59 something then so there was the this
00:04:01 idea came to mind as you were talking
00:04:03 about it and it’s kind of funny but at
00:04:06 the same time it comes from
00:04:09 Shrek how Lord farquad
00:04:12 says and now I will send
00:04:15 out one of you will go out and get

00:04:21 me and I will gladly give that sacrifice

00:04:56 here’s the thing that I was thinking you
00:04:59 know know that the trinitarian
00:05:02 god uh or the or the or the brigite God

00:05:10 vengeful but he’s blood
00:05:13 hungry yeah yeah
00:05:17 um uh the the blood um on uh what are
00:05:23 they what’s Bam’s false Doctrine blood
00:05:26 atonement yeah blood atonement that is
00:05:28 so false and goes along with blood
00:05:30 hungry as Ben’s bringing out right yeah
00:05:34 it’s a blood hungry
00:05:36 God not only do I require punishment for
00:05:39 their sins but that punishment has to be
00:05:42 in
00:05:43 blood which ordinarily is satanic but
00:05:47 anyways uh technically well technically
00:05:50 no it’s there’s blood punishments on
00:05:52 both sides and murder is according to
00:05:55 the law murder is punishable by death um
00:05:59 yes yes it is it is it is so there are
00:06:02 there is a call for there is a call for
00:06:04 blood there right right but it’s not
00:06:07 because it can’t be atoned for in any
00:06:11 other way as Brigham falsely
00:06:16 teach 34 but it’s because that is the
00:06:21 just that that is the punishment fits
00:06:25 the crime punishment right because they
00:06:28 took a lot
00:06:30 for
00:06:31 example uh so the they didn’t they
00:06:34 didn’t take a life they stole a life
00:06:37 right
00:06:40 so well I think that’s technicalities on
00:06:43 the words but sure right I’m not going
00:06:46 to argue over the sematics of it but I
00:06:48 think that but in any event um life life
00:06:52 for life it
00:06:55 by who sheds man’s blood by man shall
00:06:59 his blood blood be shed this was one of
00:07:01 the things that God said to Noah as he
00:07:03 got off of the boat right well and um
00:07:06 that’s a repeated Torah commandment
00:07:09 throughout Torah and even the Book of
00:07:12 Mormon for those who believe in the
00:07:13 restoration so right so that that there
00:07:17 is a place for blood but the idea that
00:07:20 all sin has to be paid for in blood
00:07:23 somebody else’s blood besides the person
00:07:25 who committed the
00:07:27 sin in addition to the blood of the
00:07:30 person who committed the sin now we got
00:07:32 a real God blood hungry God going on
00:07:34 here right by the way who’s the blood
00:07:36 hungry
00:07:37 God uh
00:07:39 Satan so if
00:07:42 you that’s what I was getting at with my
00:07:44 earlier statement exactly if you believe
00:07:47 in that
00:07:49 God who are you
00:07:52 following well you’re not following the
00:07:56 god of Abraham Isaac and Jacob I can
00:07:58 tell you that right right that’s right
00:08:00 because sure Amen brother because the
00:08:02 god of Abraham Isaac and Jacob was both
00:08:04 just and merciful
00:08:08 right um and we need a god of both yes
00:08:14 without both uh it the plan would not
00:08:18 work without both because I’ll tell you
00:08:21 something I have sinned and I deserve
00:08:23 death yeah oh yeah so absolutely but
00:08:27 because of his what he he
00:08:31 did uh he
00:08:34 extended mercy and Grace to me so yeah
00:08:39 which I’m very grateful for so oh it’s
00:08:42 it’s it’s yeah and it’s
00:08:45 beautiful it’s a beautiful when you
00:08:48 realize and it’s and what really cements
00:08:52 the beauty of it is when you realize
00:08:53 that God himself
00:08:56 condescended to take mortal frame yeah
00:08:59 mhm y to experience our
00:09:03 pain our
00:09:06 sorrows our uh weakness and
00:09:10 infirmity
00:09:13 and even the desire for sin and he
00:09:17 overcame it
00:09:19 all yeah my my single greatest sermon in
00:09:23 the Book of Mormon on this subject is in
00:09:26 second Nephi chapter 2 the I
00:09:29 do you w to bring something out I can
00:09:32 bring up the verses if you have
00:09:33 something you want to bring out
00:09:36 specifically the fact that this whole
00:09:39 idea of Justice Mercy If These Things
00:09:43 Fall
00:09:46 Apart and we don’t have an answer to the
00:09:48 ends of the law aka the
00:09:51 atonement then it all falls apart then
00:09:53 it all falls apart God ceases to be God
00:09:57 yeah um
00:10:01 so it’s probably not those
00:10:05 ones trying to remember I think it’s
00:10:09 near the actually
00:10:14 um uh go back it was uh okay and if you
00:10:19 shall say there is no law you shall say
00:10:21 there is no sin if you shall say there
00:10:23 is no sin you shall say there is no
00:10:25 righteousness verse 13 and if there be
00:10:27 no righteousness there be no happiness
00:10:30 and if there be no righteousness nor
00:10:31 happiness there be no punishment nor
00:10:34 misery and if these things are not there
00:10:37 is no God and if there is no God we are
00:10:41 not neither the Earth for there could
00:10:43 have been no creation of things neither
00:10:45 to act nor to be acted upon wherefore
00:10:49 All Things Must Have vanished away AKA
00:10:52 we cease to exist everything ceases to
00:10:57 exist and it’s all dependent it’s all
00:10:59 hinged upon the law or the mind and will
00:11:05 of
00:11:08 yeah that is what all of existence is
00:11:10 hinged upon but show this is the
00:11:14 scripture right
00:11:16 here that
00:11:18 talks that should
00:11:22 talk to the people in the followers of
00:11:27 Lucifer group
00:11:29 because it’s you might want to say their
00:11:31 real name so they know who you’re
00:11:33 talking they’re saying there is no
00:11:36 law now they’re literally sinning they
00:11:40 are denouncing God they’re literally
00:11:42 saying there is since there is no since
00:11:44 the law has been done away with that uh
00:11:47 well they basically if they follow their
00:11:49 logic to its if you follow the logic to
00:11:52 its logical
00:11:53 extension then they disappear they are
00:11:56 not well then but one that might be
00:12:00 easier for them to
00:12:02 comprehend is the fact that if there is
00:12:04 no law there’s no need for a savior and
00:12:07 there is no sin so how can they go out
00:12:09 saying that uh the church they left is
00:12:12 wrong if there is no law because law
00:12:16 Torah is how you discern right from
00:12:17 wrong so if there is no law what right
00:12:20 do you have to say someone is wrong or
00:12:23 sinning as they do corre and where do
00:12:26 you get off calling people to repentance
00:12:29 anyways all right I I think you know
00:12:31 it’s really funny there’s a lot of
00:12:33 people who want to call there’s a lot of
00:12:34 people who want to call repentance
00:12:36 there’s a lot of people who want to say
00:12:37 repent repent and then you ask him well
00:12:38 what do I need to repent of you don’t
00:12:41 know you’re the one that told me to I I
00:12:44 have people call me to repentance when
00:12:46 they’re just trying to shut me up and I
00:12:47 ask them so what is it that you think I
00:12:50 need to repent of because otherwise
00:12:52 you’re bearing a false witness which is
00:12:54 against the 10 one of the easy top level
00:12:57 10 divisions of Torah
00:12:59 and and if it’s legitimately something I
00:13:01 need to repent of I would be grateful if
00:13:03 you point it out to me so that I can
00:13:05 repent right right right but most the
00:13:08 time it’s pretty much they’re just try
00:13:11 to shut you up they don’t want to hear
00:13:13 what you have to say most gonna say
00:13:16 you’re Wicked you need to repent you’re
00:13:17 evil most of the feel bad most of the
00:13:21 time their butt hurt because you proved
00:13:23 that their because you proved that their
00:13:25 stupidity was stupid uh yeah uh
00:13:29 and instead of expounding the scriptures
00:13:31 they go down to um defaming and shaming
00:13:36 you go they go to this poopy booger
00:13:39 poopy booger poopy booger so there
00:13:41 that’s what they go
00:13:43 to that’s dude uh I know you’re being
00:13:46 funny but that does sound about
00:13:48 correct Stephen Stephen I’m telling you
00:13:52 this chapter right here is by far one of
00:13:56 my favorite chapters in The Book of mar
00:13:59 because it is so
00:14:01 plain well you know it’s funny it’s
00:14:04 funny because this this past weekend
00:14:06 when I was up visiting my brother my my
00:14:09 Aunt Carol she’s she has now become in
00:14:12 her old age a devout Roman
00:14:15 Catholic um yeah and uh oh oh so a Roman
00:14:20 Catholic theist okay okay yes yes she’s
00:14:23 become a devout Roman Catholic
00:14:26 and I she we were we just gotten back to
00:14:31 their house from a walk around the lake
00:14:33 up there and
00:14:36 um and she was she was talking about how
00:14:40 um the uh priest was giving a a lesson
00:14:44 on on Jesus Christ and the and the
00:14:47 Christian holidays you know the pagan
00:14:50 holidays the Pagan ones that the
00:14:52 Catholic Church yeah
00:14:54 baptized yes yes yes yes and uh
00:14:59 you know um it was funny because she one
00:15:02 of the statements she made iswell
00:15:04 without Easter there is no Christianity
00:15:07 and I just started laughing and she
00:15:09 she’s like what’s so funny and I said
00:15:12 well you know it’s funny how a Christian
00:15:16 a supposedly Christian Church claims
00:15:19 that without a pagan holiday that they
00:15:21 celebrate that there is no Christianity
00:15:23 I just find that extremely humorous and
00:15:26 from what I know uh Easter is the worst
00:15:30 in my honest opinion well and and and of
00:15:33 course she’s like it’s not a pagan
00:15:35 holiday I was like uh you might want to
00:15:39 look that
00:15:40 up I have a resource page for that if

00:15:46 her but just like I was just like you
00:15:49 know it’s funny how modern
00:15:54 Christianity it’s that you say that
00:15:58 modern Christianity without this pagan
00:16:00 holiday doesn’t exist well well she’s
00:16:05 telling truth and know it she’s actually

00:16:11 I I agree it just goes my point at that

00:16:19 Christian man-made
00:16:21 churches are true oh yeah well and I

00:16:33 Christ or all the Christians are doing
00:16:35 the pagan holidays to and how the pagans
00:16:40 worship their false god contrary to what
00:16:42 Yahweh tells us in the scriptures to do
00:16:45 yeah you are not to worship me after the
00:16:47 way of the
00:16:48 amorites
00:16:50 yeah which is what they’re doing mean uh

00:16:59 yeah I you know um yeah it’s interesting
00:17:03 the how it’s interesting how people will
00:17:05 look at that scripture in Jeremiah and
00:17:07 say that it’s not talking about
00:17:09 Christmas trees uh right because they
00:17:12 didn’t cut it down which is what they
00:17:14 actually did in the beginning and
00:17:16 they’re not putting gold and silver upon
00:17:18 it to decorate it and um they’re not
00:17:22 putting presence in front of it to Bow
00:17:24 before it either are
00:17:25 they no they’re not doing or they’re not
00:17:30 P putting children in the lap of B oh
00:17:33 wait a minute am I exposing chy that’s

00:17:46 that particularly humorous this weekend
00:17:50 and I couldn’t help it I started

00:17:55 Christmas is one of Dan’s favorite
00:17:57 holidays of my brother Dan his it’s like
00:18:01 his favorite holiday ever well it’s
00:18:03 because it’s it’s a great opportunity to
00:18:06 show off if you have the money well I
00:18:10 don’t I think he I honestly Ben I as was
00:18:14 brought out by Matt before it for him I
00:18:17 think it’s more about the family that’s
00:18:19 true that’s true it is all about it he
00:18:22 is all that man is all about his family
00:18:25 yes he is so maybe that’s the best time
00:18:27 because of the cultes in to to take care
00:18:30 and give gifts to the family yes exactly
00:18:34 so at least he likes it for that instead

00:21:45 revealed Joseph Smith’s
00:21:49 Corrections oh wow on Abraham’s back oh
00:21:54 wow now you go look at the symbolism
00:21:57 here and even people people who don’t
00:21:58 believe in modalism will bring out how
00:22:01 Abraham is the father and Isaac is the
00:22:07 son now when you go add this with the
00:22:11 jst and mosiah 15 which we can go review
00:22:15 again in a
00:22:16 minute it is the father that’s taking
00:22:20 with him everything that’s needed the
00:22:23 wood the fire the knife and the flesh
00:22:29 the son which is the flesh right right
00:22:32 right right right it’s the father who
00:22:36 came down as the
00:22:38 son to atone for our
00:22:42 sins they went both of them together I
00:22:46 like how it says they went both of them
00:22:49 together right right because the spirit
00:22:52 took the flesh right so that’s yeah
00:22:55 that’s the interesting thing one of the
00:22:57 interesting things about this uh little
00:22:59 change here it’s actually quite a huge
00:23:01 change um with the wood on the back with
00:23:05 the wood on Abraham’s
00:23:06 back is uh when you look at this in
00:23:11 connect in conjunction with mosiah
00:23:13 chapter 15 verses 1-5 all right well
00:23:16 hold on let me that up so we can so we
00:23:19 can have it while we’re talking about it
00:23:21 that’s that’s what causes us to realize
00:23:23 that Isaac his son is the
00:23:26 flesh but we gota we gotta be able to
00:23:30 look at that so here we go

00:23:39 Elohim himself shall come down among the
00:23:42 children of men and shall redeem his
00:23:44 people and because he dwelleth in the
00:23:47 flesh flesh he shall be called The Son

00:23:58 Isaac up the
00:24:00 hill uh being the Father Abraham and the
00:24:04 son Isaac the father because he was
00:24:08 conceived by the power of by the power
00:24:11 of Elohim by the power of God the Holy
00:24:14 Spirit of Torah and the son because of
00:24:17 the
00:24:18 flesh so you
00:24:20 have must BEC have the father taking the
00:24:23 wood the cross and the flesh
00:24:28 of the burnt offering or of the
00:24:31 offering up to the
00:24:34 mountain and so that’s one of the that
00:24:36 to me is just when you take it in
00:24:39 conjunction with when when you take it
00:24:41 in conjunction with the Book of Mormon
00:24:43 it’s a beautiful beautiful
00:24:46 illustration of
00:24:50 modalism
00:24:52 yeah that’s really really really
00:24:56 interesting
00:24:58 and so it’s it’s all up
00:25:01 and to
00:25:04 me the whole thing that
00:25:07 makes the whole thing that makes this
00:25:10 whole this whole idea of
00:25:12 God yeah I mean the whole idea of
00:25:15 God works because of
00:25:18 modalism
00:25:20 yes you know and and when I and when I
00:25:23 was younger whenever I would read these
00:25:25 particular verses
00:25:28 they never made sense to
00:25:31 me because like how can they be one when
00:25:34 we’re being taught that they’re separate
00:25:37 how can they be
00:25:38 one God himself come down when it’s
00:25:42 clearly we’re taught that there’s two
00:25:45 well and the sun comes down and they’re
00:25:48 separate right so how well don’t get me
00:25:51 started on the intercessory prayer from
00:25:53 that
00:25:55 perspective yeah um
00:25:58 yeah no but like I said this this
00:26:00 particular passage of scripture when I
00:26:02 was younger and when I even when I was
00:26:04 on my mission it always confused the
00:26:06 heck out him because it didn’t jive with
00:26:10 what we’ve been taught oh yeah when I
00:26:13 when I was uh brigite this verse or
00:26:16 passage uh mosiah 15 1-5 didn’t make
00:26:19 sense it was
00:26:21 mysterious right right right that’s what
00:26:24 I was GNA that’s what I was going to get
00:26:25 to is for me it was always like a it was
00:26:28 something that there’s more to this
00:26:29 there’s more to this what am I missing
00:26:32 what am I
00:26:35 missing where um so to add to that and

00:28:05 you’re talking to I guess I know I I I
00:28:09 absolutely know that the LDS church has
00:28:12 a explanation for that
00:28:15 yes and I’ve heard them and I don’t
00:28:18 remember them because
00:28:19 it’s I’m sure I’ve heard them before as
00:28:22 a matter of fact I’m sure I probably
00:28:24 used some of them while I was on my
00:28:25 mission but anyways well the the thing
00:28:28 is it has to be very long and convoluted
00:28:31 uh it can’t be using portions of
00:28:34 scriptures only yes right right uh in
00:28:37 fact I I mean let’s do this um I
