Summary:

Good Samaritan is also about the second coming. Written Torah vs Oral Torah. Love Elohim and your neighbor. Want eternal life keep the two divisions of Torah. The lawyer is trying to weasel his way out of loving everyone. The lawyer is making a law unto himself. We are justified and sanctified by Torah. The end result of trying to be a law unto yourself, you remain filthy. The wages of sin is death. Looking at the word down. Removed the covering of Yeshua, and caused him to sin. Supposed followers of Yeshua, not willing to help others. It’s more important to save a life than to worry about the cleanliness laws. Weightier things of Torah, Justice and Mercy. Torah states we are to take care of others. Their lips, hearts are far. The Israelites hearts were not good at this time. Priest verses Levite. Samaritan’s are of Joseph. Joseph of Egypt is a type First and Second Comings. This parable deals with the first and second comings. To get the effects of the atonement you first have to promise to repent. Only ordnances in the original 13 articles of faith. We the church are to help others come to Yeshua. JST is more accurate. This promise coming goes with the second coming. The one who did good, not the one who just talked good. This parable is about Yeshua’s first and second coming. Mercy is a very integral part of Torah. Mercy is so integral that Yeshua stated if you want to be forgiven, you must forgive. Torah is about becoming, that is why mercy is integral. Many who mean well, but don’t know well. Yeshua wants us to be like Him. Torah tells us how to be like Yeshua. John 1, Yeshua is the perfect personification of Torah. Good Samaritan law is from Torah not just the New Testament.

00:00:01 Compu okay so today we decided as a
00:00:07 group to talk about the Good
00:00:10 Samaritan and
00:00:13 how I can I’m think the best way to say
00:00:16 and
00:00:17 how uh it is has multiple angles to it
00:00:23 including a prophecy about the second
00:00:26 coming okay and so as we go through
00:00:29 it’ll become more clear why that is the
00:00:34 case um but maybe to get started Zach
00:00:39 are you willing to read verse jst
00:00:43 26 uh King James
00:00:47 25
00:00:58 yeah all the way the bottom Jack
00:01:04 okay and behold a certain lawyer stood
00:01:08 up and tempted him saying Master what
00:01:11 shall I do to inherit J life darned
00:01:17 lawyers yeah so one thing about a lawyer
00:01:20 okay is they know the
00:01:22 law so this is someone who knows Torah
00:01:26 and this will come up in a little bit
00:01:29 actually like believe in the next verse
00:01:31 but this is someone who
00:01:33 really thinks I’ll say thinks they know
00:01:36 Torah
00:01:38 okay and he’s trying to trip up as in
00:01:40 he’s trying to Temp Yeshua as in he’s
00:01:43 trying to trip him up and make him um
00:01:46 make a mistake okay
00:01:49 right so uh I’ll read the next
00:01:54 one Yeshua said unto the
00:01:57 lawyer what is written in Torah
00:02:00 how readest thou so there’s a couple
00:02:04 things here one um it could just be how
00:02:08 do you understand it but
00:02:11 also um there’s a relation to
00:02:16 um how you read different words like
00:02:19 enemy and
00:02:21 neighbor right and the other thing that
00:02:24 I’m seeing here is the heavy emphasis on
00:02:26 written how is it written in the law
00:02:29 versus what is the oral tradition right
00:02:33 right what is written in the law how
00:02:36 readest thou not how hearest thou
00:02:43 not I agree I agree
00:02:46 um
00:02:48 yes um but I do
00:02:50 think um and perhaps that’s why it’s the
00:02:54 readest thou and that could be even more
00:02:56 important but I I have come across I
00:02:59 haven’t verified it that neighbor and
00:03:02 enemy are like the same constant
00:03:07 constants um so that’s something it
00:03:10 needs to be verified um either way it’s
00:03:13 like how do you understand it right
00:03:17 right yeah
00:03:20 um so Ben you want to read
00:03:23 27 and he the lawyer answering
00:03:27 said Thou shalt love y
00:03:31 Elohim Thou shalt love y elu with all
00:03:35 thy heart with all thy soul with all thy
00:03:37 strength with all thy mind and thy
00:03:40 neighbor as
00:03:43 thyself yeah uh that sounds like a quote
00:03:46 from Deuteronomy right it sounds like a
00:03:49 quote from both Leviticus and
00:03:51 Deuteronomy oh yeah yeah that’s right
00:03:55 um so um so this is showing this is love
00:04:00 God or Elohim and your neighbors is not
00:04:03 something new right they already well
00:04:07 established which is the two separations
00:04:12 of the of Torah yeah Yeshua didn’t yba
00:04:16 did not have to teach the lawyer this
00:04:21 correct um which means that on a certain
00:04:24 level he did know the law to a certain
00:04:28 degree right mhm um where a lot of the
00:04:33 Jews they kind of knew it and kind of
00:04:36 didn’t at the same time right and then
00:04:38 there were a lot of people who would get
00:04:40 bogged down in the n grites and the
00:04:42 specifics and what have you and
00:04:45 forget what it was all about and this
00:04:48 lawyer knows he knows what it’s
00:04:52 about and that’s probably what makes
00:04:54 this lawyer even more
00:04:56 damned right right because he still
00:04:58 tries to find excuses
00:05:00 right
00:05:01 M um and so I’ll read oh no Zach I think
00:05:06 your turn will you read 28 Zack
00:05:11 2928 and he said unto him that was
00:05:14 answered right just do and that shall
00:05:17 live so again so it’s that simple you
00:05:20 want eternal life keep written divisions
00:05:24 of
00:05:24 Torah what he says is if you want
00:05:27 eternal life do what’s written
00:05:30 oh wait a minute you mean you don’t have
00:05:32 to actually get new Commandments on your
00:05:34 knees
00:05:36 no unless Yeshua is a liar if you want
00:05:40 if you want eternal life do what’s
00:05:43 written yes right right um and DNC 59
00:05:48 says that also right they
00:05:52 would uh okay I’ll read
00:05:57 3029 but he willing to justify himself
00:06:01 so he knew what the law was I love that
00:06:04 I love that turn of phrase he being
00:06:06 willing to justify
00:06:10 himself right right he knows he knows
00:06:13 what Torah teaches but here he’s trying
00:06:16 to find a way to wiggle out right right
00:06:20 and it he’s finding he’s trying to cover
00:06:23 himself he’s trying to find his own
00:06:26 covering outside of yeshua’s
00:06:30 ways correct or trying to twist yeshua’s
00:06:34 ways and make it think that that is
00:06:36 actually that way but anyways right but
00:06:40 ultimately he is making him a law unto
00:06:42 himself right right that’s that’s
00:06:45 exactly what he’s
00:06:46 doing and uh we find out what happens to
00:06:49 those doctrine of Covenant section 88 uh
00:06:52 verse 35 do you want to go look at those
00:06:55 or stay here yeah let’s take a quick
00:06:57 look let’s take quick theander since we
00:06:59 always get sidetracked on these things
00:07:01 anyway yeah yeah that’s fine let me get
00:07:03 it
00:07:04 [Laughter]
00:07:07 up uh I’m GNA
00:07:13 pause okay so we found those verses in
00:07:15 Doctrine and Covenant section 88 uh and
00:07:18 this is talking about
00:07:21 um this is talking about because we were
00:07:25 talking about previously how the
00:07:27 lawyer’s basically trying to make
00:07:28 himself a law to himself correct um and
00:07:32 so so I figur I thought that these were
00:07:35 applicable in this circumstance so let’s
00:07:39 let’s go into 88 verses 34 and 35 now
00:07:42 verse 34 is what happens with those who
00:07:47 live according to what is written again
00:07:49 verily I say unto you that which is
00:07:51 governed by law is also preserved
00:07:56 justified by law and perfected and
00:08:00 Sanctified by the
00:08:02 same wait wait a minute
00:08:05 we now another word just because I know
00:08:08 I I have a post on this um but uh
00:08:12 preserved goes along with
00:08:15 Justified you’re right just like the
00:08:18 firstborn of the children of Israel were
00:08:20 preserved through the justification of
00:08:22 Israel the setting the part of Israel um
00:08:26 their firstborn were preserved when the
00:08:28 firstborn of Egypt were
00:08:31 destroyed right and so and that and in
00:08:34 in that time when Israel was justified
00:08:36 as a
00:08:39 nation that which
00:08:59 onto itself itself it’s like they’re not
00:09:03 they’re not even
00:09:06 uh in his eyes are not even people
00:09:09 anymore I I wouldn’t say that I think
00:09:12 maybe this is old
00:09:14 grammar maybe it might be it might just
00:09:16 be it might just be grammar it might
00:09:18 just be different ways of understanding
00:09:21 yeah I wouldn’t I anyways I think that’s
00:09:25 going yeah so I I may be out of line
00:09:28 there uh but and I probably am uh that
00:09:32 which breakthe law so those who break
00:09:35 the law they abide not by law but seek
00:09:38 to become a law unto themselves willth
00:09:41 and willing and willth to abide in sin
00:09:44 and altogether abideth in sin cannot be
00:09:46 Sanctified by law neither by Mercy
00:09:50 Justice or
00:09:51 judgment nor judgment therefore they
00:09:54 must remain filthy still the end result
00:09:57 of trying to be a long to yourself is
00:10:01 that you will remain
00:10:04 filthy you remain uncovered you remain
00:10:09 in your naked in that same awful naked
00:10:11 state that Adam and Eve found
00:10:14 themselves after the
00:10:17 fall yeah uh because you have sinned and
00:10:23 so you can’t pay the
00:10:26 punishment right well the punishment
00:10:28 forc
00:10:29 is physical and spiritual death so right
00:10:34 which means
00:10:35 you’re um well you know and so so while
00:10:39 it may seem that under that some of the
00:10:41 toric uh that some of the toric and some
00:10:44 of the punishments according to Tor they
00:10:45 say may seem drastic when you consider
00:10:48 that the wages of sin any kind of sin is
00:10:52 death there’s actually a great deal of
00:10:54 Mercy in many of these punishments that
00:10:57 allows you to repent allow allow you
00:10:59 time to
00:11:01 repent
00:11:03 yes um okay so let’s go
00:11:07 back so that so there was that so let’s
00:11:10 go yeah heading back to
00:11:13 uh heading back off this Sid
00:11:17 track uh okay so that’s uh
00:11:21 3029 because he’s trying to justify
00:11:23 himself as he’s trying to find a way out
00:11:26 of it right MH because he knows what’s
00:11:29 there but this is where they’re trying
00:11:30 to read the white space right sorry so
00:11:34 he asks this question and who is my
00:11:36 neighbor which is a kind of question
00:11:39 that you always hear from people who are
00:11:41 reading the white
00:11:43 space they’re find ways out of it right
00:11:47 right and so and and Yeshua answering
00:11:51 said a certain man went down from
00:11:54 Jerusalem to Jericho and fell among okay
00:11:57 so one point here Jerusalem was was up
00:12:00 on a hill or higher than Jericho
00:12:04 so this this down part is showing the
00:12:08 geography in that area just FYI right um
00:12:13 and you’ll see this in the Book of
00:12:16 Mormon also yeah this is a geographic
00:12:20 way that the Hebrews or the Jews think
00:12:23 this is a geographical thing it is not
00:12:25 meant to I do not know that it is meant
00:12:28 for Spiritual
00:12:31 commentary uh it might there might be
00:12:35 possibility
00:12:36 but that might be going too far with
00:12:39 this Parable so that yeah that might be
00:12:42 the spiritual and the idea of
00:12:43 spiritually going down from Zion to
00:12:47 Jericho the city on the
00:12:51 border it’s probably a little too far
00:12:55 it’s probably a little too far it’s not
00:12:57 a big deal it doesn’t ruin anything one
00:12:58 way the so right it it actually makes
00:13:02 very little difference as to the meaning
00:13:03 of the parable yeah uh and is therefore
00:13:07 Superfluous and doesn’t need to be
00:13:10 talked about and fell among Thieves
00:13:13 which stripped him of his rment and
00:13:16 wounded him and departed leaving him
00:13:19 half dead so he fell among Thieves who
00:13:21 stripped him of his covering that that
00:13:24 reminds me of the entire Christian
00:13:25 Church
00:13:29 mhm and they wounded him they caused him
00:13:32 to sin saying that the law was
00:13:36 dead and then departed leaving him half
00:13:43 dead uh
00:13:48 correct I I completely agree there uh
00:13:52 because when you sin you’re dead but
00:13:56 there’s still some hope in them why they
00:13:58 have to but anyways I completely agree
00:14:00 with that symbolic reading there okay
00:14:04 yeah uh so amazing amazing what a little
00:14:07 wine can do to help you see
00:14:10 symbolism Zack you want to read
00:14:15 3231 and by chance there came down a
00:14:17 certain priest that way and when he saw
00:14:22 him he passed by on on the other side of
00:14:24 the
00:14:26 way so um
00:14:29 one thing that we can get out of this is
00:14:31 how uh a priest someone who is supposed
00:14:34 to be a man of God
00:14:36 right is was kind of walking the way but
00:14:41 when it came to helping others he even
00:14:44 left the way even
00:14:47 more right now the other the other thing
00:14:50 that I see
00:14:52 here now the the thing that I see here
00:14:56 also I mean I can kind of
00:14:59 because the are the
00:15:02 uh yeah I no because I don’t think the
00:15:06 priest I don’t think the priests have
00:15:07 any justification for not touching a
00:15:09 wounded man okay
00:15:12 so the man has to be
00:15:15 dead
00:15:16 uh yeah or he’s half dead so they
00:15:19 probably didn’t know if he was dead or
00:15:20 not okay right uh so they didn’t want to
00:15:23 take the chance but they’re leaving
00:15:26 Jerusalem so right they’re already
00:15:30 they they’re not they’ve already done
00:15:33 their uh Priestly duties so even if they
00:15:35 had to do the cleansing it wouldn’t hurt
00:15:37 from their Priestly duties right right
00:15:41 but on top of
00:15:43 that um that’s true it’s more important
00:15:47 to help people especially a dying person
00:15:51 than to worry about the right right
00:15:54 rules I Absolut I absolutely agree I’m
00:15:58 I’m just uh I’m also just pointing out
00:16:02 the
00:16:03 um and you’re right to point out that
00:16:05 there’s a higher that there’s
00:16:07 prioritization that goes on here or
00:16:11 should well I guess it is going it is
00:16:14 going on there just their priorities are
00:16:16 screwed up yeah their priorities are
00:16:18 screwed up their priorities are actually
00:16:20 not according to Torah their priorities
00:16:23 are according to um they’re they’re
00:16:26 they’re they’re placing the smaller
00:16:28 things ahead of the weigher thing the
00:16:30 weigher matters of the law like justice
00:16:33 and mercy
00:16:36 right uh
00:16:39 and one thing also to keep in mind is
00:16:42 part of
00:16:43 Torah to uh take care of your neighbor
00:16:47 which this Parable is bringing out that
00:16:50 the lawyer should have known already
00:16:53 right and it doesn’t matter whether that
00:16:56 neighbor is loved or hated
00:17:02 correct and so this is showing an
00:17:06 example who’s really keeping Torah
00:17:09 better instead of trying to find ways
00:17:13 out of it instead of trying to find ways
00:17:16 to break Torah while keeping Torah as it
00:17:20 were uh yeah which the Jews were very
00:17:24 good at
00:17:26 right um so which shows that they didn’t
00:17:30 really understand love Yahweh and love
00:17:35 everyone else right you might understand
00:17:38 it on a head level memorized level
00:17:41 but in their hearts they didn’t
00:17:43 understand it uh cor well this goes
00:17:45 along uh their with their hearts I mean
00:17:49 sorry with their
00:17:51 lips uh they profess but their hearts
00:17:54 are far right right right
00:18:00 and so the Le so the priest walks by on
00:18:03 the other side of the
00:18:04 road uh I forget who’s maybe it’s Ben’s
00:18:07 turn I forget I’m sorry you want to read
00:18:09 where is it Zach oh Zach you want to
00:18:11 read
00:18:12 3332
00:18:18 Zach and likewise a levite when he was
00:18:21 at the place came and looked upon him
00:18:26 and pass by on
00:18:28 yeah pass by on the other side of the
00:18:31 way where they deser in their hearts
00:18:34 they might not be known that they had
00:18:36 seen
00:18:39 him and that right there is damy yeah
00:18:42 yeah uh this is really exposing the
00:18:46 hearts
00:18:48 of the Israelites at this time right and
00:18:52 it was not
00:18:54 good
00:18:57 yeah so you know it’s uh well maybe if
00:19:00 we don’t pause while we walk around we
00:19:04 they could say that we didn’t see
00:19:06 him yeah but just the fact that you’re
00:19:08 changing your course a little bit shows
00:19:10 that you actually saw them but anyways
00:19:13 yeah um I do want to bring out another
00:19:16 unrelated point to what we were trying
00:19:19 to really bring out but it is
00:19:22 here priest and levite there is a
00:19:26 difference yes um the priests were a
00:19:30 specific sub were a specific set within
00:19:33 the
00:19:35 Levites or within the descendants of
00:19:37 Levi they were Aaron’s sons um whereas
00:19:42 the anybody of the tribe of Levi was a
00:19:44 levite uh the Levites could not do the
00:19:47 sacrifices they could only they could do
00:19:49 the work of the temple but not the
00:19:52 sacrifices the supporting they could do
00:19:55 the supporting work of the temple yeah
00:19:56 but not the sacrifices themselves
00:20:00 correct and that’s just kind of what I
00:20:01 wanted to get out there there is some
00:20:03 difference there
00:20:05 so okay uh I think it’s my time I mean
00:20:08 my time my turn sorry sure why not and
00:20:11 this actually starts getting into uh
00:20:15 some of the second and first coming
00:20:18 prophecies that goes on here okay right
00:20:21 but a certain Samaritan
00:20:24 now a
00:20:27 Samaritan is is a Jewish
00:20:30 person
00:20:32 particularly
00:20:34 of manessa but also I think it was
00:20:38 Manassa and Ephraim it was these are the
00:20:42 descendants
00:20:43 of those who stay those of those uh who
00:20:48 were brought in who were already mingled
00:20:52 with
00:20:52 babyon they were brought that a priest
00:20:56 was brought in to teach them the
00:20:57 religion
00:20:59 uh he taught them the Torah according to
00:21:01 the Le according to Samaria which was
00:21:03 already
00:21:05 wrong
00:21:07 uh well it’s not like the others got it
00:21:10 right as we’re seeing here but but yeah
00:21:12 well as obvious as obvious here but the
00:21:16 point is is that there’s a history here
00:21:18 that goes back all the way to the
00:21:22 destruction of the northern kingdom okay
00:21:25 okay the main point I’m trying to get
00:21:27 out here is they are of
00:21:31 Joseph yes they are they are of the
00:21:34 northern kingdom which would make them
00:21:36 EP tend to make them ephraimites
00:21:39 Manasses Etc right right I I do think
00:21:42 it’s now I do think there’s a mix of the
00:21:45 tribes but I do think it was primarily
00:21:48 Manassa as it was in manasseh’s land
00:21:51 right the interesting thing is is that
00:21:54 uh just on just another tidbit
00:21:59 hopefully we don’t get sidetracked on it
00:22:01 but
00:22:01 um it’s stated that uh the uh old lady
00:22:05 who saw Yeshua in the
00:22:08 temple and when he was eight when he was
00:22:11 eight days old I think it was eight days
00:22:15 yeah she was descendant of
00:22:18 aser
00:22:20 okay just just an interesting tipit it’s
00:22:23 not trying to prove anything it’s just
00:22:25 something that you can read that’s
00:22:27 actually pretty cool which means that
00:22:29 some of the 10 very few a very small
00:22:33 percentage at that time of those of the
00:22:35 10 tribes had not lost and not
00:22:38 completely lost their
00:22:40 identity uh correct correct yeah anyways
00:22:45 so
00:22:46 Samaritans are of Joseph that have mixed
00:22:50 with Gentiles right right uh and I think
00:22:54 primarily Manasseh but there’s probably
00:22:56 mostly a mix of Manasseh and Ephraim in
00:22:58 there okay yeah I do believe that it’s
00:23:02 stated that um the people of Ephraim
00:23:06 went further
00:23:08 north uh yeah their their land is
00:23:10 further north but not everybody stayed
00:23:13 within those borders but
00:23:16 anyways just talking about after the
00:23:18 dispersion after the
00:23:20 dispersion well even before the
00:23:22 dispersion but anyways yeah but even but
00:23:25 after the dispersion there were leaders
00:23:27 from a from like
00:23:29 okay let’s um let’s go North to find a
00:23:33 land where we can worship Our
00:23:37 God okay so the main point here with the
00:23:41 Samaritan is that they are of Joseph
00:23:45 yeah
00:23:46 uh so Joseph of
00:23:49 Egypt uh is a type of
00:23:52 yeshua’s first
00:23:55 and uh second comings
00:24:00 yes uh and you’ll see that in the
00:24:02 history in particular way it’s worded
00:24:05 the first
00:24:06 portion is about his first
00:24:10 coming um and the second portion is
00:24:13 about the second coming okay yeah the
00:24:16 first portion he is basically binding up
00:24:18 the
00:24:21 wounds uh of the injured man correct
00:24:26 which goes along
00:24:29 the first coming the first coming is
00:24:31 atonement to bind the wounds which deals
00:24:34 with sinning or not bind but uh to heal
00:24:38 sorry yeah to heal the wounds yes know
00:24:42 what you’re saying to heal the heal the
00:24:45 sinning which is what the atonement is
00:24:47 about
00:24:49 right um and then in a little bit there
00:24:54 is the
00:24:55 jst changes a little part that makes the
00:24:58 second coming stuff more obvious but you
00:25:01 can still see it even without that and
00:25:04 we’ll get into that as it comes up but
00:25:07 the big point on Samaritan is a
00:25:11 Samaritan is of Joseph and yes Joseph of
00:25:14 Egypt has things to do with the first
00:25:17 and the second coming which this Parable
00:25:20 also deals with right so yeah the the
00:25:24 thing yeah so the thing about Samaria is
00:25:27 that it was set up by this by
00:25:29 Ephraim so that it’s definitely Joseph
00:25:33 right definitely josephes and as he
00:25:35 journeyed this uh josephite okay came
00:25:41 where he was and saw this I think
00:25:45 injured Jew it was a Jew you saw this
00:25:47 injured Jew yeah yeah uh it doesn’t
00:25:51 actually say you I think but it’s going
00:25:53 to be an Israelite he’s from Jer he’s
00:25:55 from Jerusalem uh the
00:25:58 that doesn’t just and and Nephi called
00:26:02 them called themel called him and his
00:26:04 people Jews from time to time right
00:26:07 right I’m I’m talking tribe not just
00:26:09 location but anyways right so it depends
00:26:13 on what angle you want to go on I I
00:26:15 agree it depends on which angle you want
00:26:18 to go right so anyways
00:26:22 um he had compassion on him so here is
00:26:26 where we start seeing the first coming
00:26:30 okay yes yosua came and had compassion
00:26:34 upon the
00:26:36 Israelites
00:26:38 right
00:26:40 um I I think it’s Ben’s turn and went to
00:26:43 him and bound up his
00:26:46 wounds pouring in oil and
00:26:52 wine he anointed
00:26:55 him and he uh
00:26:59 yeah good and and applied the atoning
00:27:03 blood yeah so set him on his own
00:27:12 past and brought him to an end to take
00:27:14 care of
00:27:18 him so bound up his wounds that is uh
00:27:23 helping him with his
00:27:25 sins pouring in oil that’s the Holy
00:27:28 Spirit SL
00:27:31 Torah and the wine is the atonement yep
00:27:35 as so just uh talking about the first
00:27:39 ordinances of the Gospel I said only
00:27:41 ordinances on purpose uh part of that is
00:27:47 repenting okay that would be bounding up
00:27:49 his wounds and then
00:27:52 repenting that is pouring in the
00:27:55 oil and wine and and the wine is the
00:27:59 atonement that happens after that mhm
00:28:02 because
00:28:03 to get the effects of the atonement you
00:28:07 first have to promise to repent now it’s
00:28:11 interesting that in the Articles of that
00:28:13 in the original articles of faith that
00:28:15 Joseph Smith actually put in the
00:28:17 Wentworth letter that haven’t that
00:28:20 weren’t um edited by the church
00:28:23 later the original articles of faith
00:28:26 that it was only called
00:28:29 ordinances yeah that’s exactly what I
00:28:31 was going off of thank you
00:28:35 Ben there were no such thing it wasn’t
00:28:38 the they were not mistaking ordinances
00:28:41 or
00:28:44 principles yeah um and then I just want
00:28:47 to say this one more time he starts to
00:28:49 repent bounding up his wounds and
00:28:52 pouring pouring in the oil is promising
00:28:54 to keep Torah and then getting the
00:28:57 atonement okay now setting him upon his
00:29:00 own beast that’s the church yep what
00:29:04 happens after you are baptized you join
00:29:07 the
00:29:08 church and then brought him into his and
00:29:11 in his
00:29:13 house gathered him up into the barn yeah
00:29:18 and then started preaching to
00:29:21 him took care of
00:29:25 him right m
00:29:31 um so there I there is the literal
00:29:35 that’s completely valid but he’s
00:29:38 teaching deeper stuff here okay
00:29:49 yes uh okay Zach yeah Zach turn so
00:29:54 3635
00:29:56 Z and on the mark tomorrow when he
00:29:58 departed he took money and gave to the
00:30:02 host and sent it to him take care of him
00:30:05 take care of him and whatsoever I spend
00:30:08 this more when I come again I will repay
00:30:11 thee now uh I’ll be honest here uh
00:30:17 because of the symbolism I do like the
00:30:19 two pence more and I’ll get why but uh
00:30:24 with the rest of this it’s still there
00:30:27 but
00:30:29 after Yeshua visited the
00:30:32 Jews and taught them the gospel and uh
00:30:36 performed the atonement he
00:30:38 left and he left for two days okay or
00:30:42 two Millennia he’s about to come back
00:30:46 right
00:30:49 um whatsoever they I do like the two
00:30:52 pence more than the money but I will say
00:30:55 that the jst is more accurate and
00:30:58 whatsoever thou spendest more I will
00:31:01 when I come again I will repay thee his
00:31:04 reward is in his
00:31:07 hands right um
00:31:10 because this is a promise here to come
00:31:13 back to take care of those who are still
00:31:21 believing right yep his reward is in his
00:31:26 hands and those who are Saints will
00:31:28 receive his reward So This Promise of
00:31:32 coming
00:31:34 back goes with the second
00:31:37 [Music]
00:31:38 coming now in the day one pence was a
00:31:43 Daily’s
00:31:44 wage yeah bench would be two days and he
00:31:47 comes back on the third now but the jst
00:31:51 does correct that it just says money so
00:31:55 um someone added that but but I can
00:31:59 still see it’s about this the second
00:32:01 coming here is because he leaves and
00:32:03 then comes back to take things right so
00:32:06 who now of these three thinkest thou was
00:32:09 neighbor unto him that fell among the
00:32:14 thieves it was the one that uh bounded
00:32:18 up his wounds put oil of
00:32:22 them the one who took it was the one who
00:32:25 was talking to him yeah it was the one
00:32:28 that showed him the way that helped him
00:32:31 to
00:32:32 heal and one the one who actually did
00:32:36 good and not just talked good but the
00:32:40 interesting thing is is that he is that
00:32:42 it is the one who is talking to that man
00:32:46 to that lawyer right there is he who his
00:32:51 neighbor to those who to him who fell
00:32:54 among the
00:32:55 thieves yes this is this par Parables
00:32:58 about Yeshua his first coming and second
00:33:07 coming and the and the man says and he
00:33:10 that showed Mercy on him then said
00:33:12 Yeshua unto him go and do likewise Mercy
00:33:18 follow come follow
00:33:21 me mercy is in the law this is one thing
00:33:26 that a lot of proponents of the
00:33:28 law love to for I don’t know if they
00:33:31 love to forget or they just don’t want
00:33:34 to focus on it or
00:33:37 whatnot um but Mercy is a very integral
00:33:43 part of the law most everybody who is an
00:33:47 opponent of the law loves to focus on
00:33:50 stoning and
00:33:54 um and love to do and love to do away
00:33:57 with any requirements that the law makes
00:33:59 on
00:34:00 us
00:34:02 right in fact it’s so integral that
00:34:06 Yeshua stated if you want to be forgiven
00:34:08 you have to
00:34:09 forgive
00:34:14 yeah so uh he didn’t just make that up
00:34:19 so while there are
00:34:21 punishments in the
00:34:24 law for certain activities
00:34:29 that’s if no that’s if it goes to the
00:34:36 judges and no amount of forgiveness can
00:34:38 be shown no amount of once it go once
00:34:42 something is so bad that there is no
00:34:44 redress for it that it has to go to the
00:34:46 judges so uh I would say and this is
00:34:51 according to me but I I think it makes
00:34:54 sense because the gospel is about
00:34:56 becoming right right so is the law and
00:35:00 that is
00:35:01 why Mercy is an integral part of
00:35:06 Torah is because it’s about
00:35:11 becoming and the thing that we have to
00:35:13 remember about each
00:35:15 other is that even those of us who mean
00:35:18 well often don’t know well
00:35:26 yes um so I do think there’s one more
00:35:29 verse oh no no that was it because
00:35:32 that’s a different one um go do thou
00:35:35 likewise that to me is the epitome this
00:35:39 is what he’s constantly inviting us to
00:35:42 do be like me
00:35:47 yeah so when people go around saying
00:35:50 that those who think those who believe
00:35:53 that they can be like Yeshua are
00:35:56 deceived
00:36:00 they’re saying that Yeshua himself is a
00:36:02 liar in extending the
00:36:07 invitation uh right and the way to be
00:36:10 like Yeshua is to keep Torah because
00:36:13 yeah uh as first John tells or no John
00:36:16 one tells us I’m going to put a summary
00:36:20 that uh Yeshua is the perfect
00:36:25 personification of Torah
00:36:28 right and and the other thing about that
00:36:30 right the John one John 1 John 1:1 yeah
00:36:37 uh the other thing that I ah never mind
00:36:42 it totally slipped my mind really okay
00:36:45 moving on all right well so but we can
00:36:48 see here that this Parable has portions
00:36:54 of it that’s about the first and the
00:36:56 second coming and addition to everything
00:36:58 else that’s in it right that
00:37:03 is that to me is cool yes and so and and
00:37:08 of course there’s the surface level of
00:37:12 do good to your fellow men and we
00:37:15 absolutely need to take care of each
00:37:17 other oh yeah yeah in fact some states
00:37:20 in in in Lo cows actually have the Good
00:37:23 Samaritan law which they believe is
00:37:26 coming from the New Testament but it
00:37:28 actually comes from
00:37:36 Torah so yeah it’s
00:37:40 uh to me it’s a
00:37:44 uh the tale of the the parable of the
00:37:47 Good Samaritan is a beautiful Parable
00:37:50 and
00:37:52 that it is so true both on the basic
00:37:56 level
00:37:59 on the basic application Level and also
00:38:02 on
00:38:03 the understand and also in the way that
00:38:05 it broadens your
00:38:09 [Music]
00:38:10 understanding it broadens your
00:38:12 understanding of Yeshua his
00:38:14 atonement it teaches you that he’s
00:38:16 coming again it’s another
00:38:20 witness another
00:38:25 promise and that promise that he comes
00:38:28 with his
00:38:29 reward in his
00:38:32 hands
00:38:36 right okay with that I’m going to
00:38:41 pause oh I paused the wrong
00:38:47 thing yeah so I hope you I hope you
00:38:50 didn’t feel like I was too intrusive
