Jacob 5 Prophecy

(see Second Coming, Symbolism, Mighty and Strong One)

The Allegory of the Olive Tree is a prophecy from YHWH through the holy prophet Zenos which was preserved on the Brass Plates. The Brass Plates are much like the Tanak / Old Testament. I don’t know if we can figure out who all the branches in the allegory represent because in Jacob (LDS 5:14,20) (RLDS 3:48,59-62) it is stated the branches were hid. I do believe when we get the additional records from the other tribes as mentioned in 2 Nephi (LDS 29:12-13) (RLDS 12:67-72) we will know more if not all of them. It is possible that one or more branches are from the ten tribes that went north.

(Will work on updating and improving this page from time to time.)

While reading the Allegory of the Olive Tree, it is important to know what the different people and images represent, below is a key to help with the symbolism within the parable. For help with general symbolism please see Symbolism.

Keys

  • Lord / Master of the vineyard = Elohim / God in Father mode
  • Servant = Elohim / God in Son mode
  • vineyard = Earth
  • roots = holy prophets teaching of Yeshua and their commentary on how to keep Torah
  • trees = people / nations
  • branch = assembly of people
  • natural branch = group of righteous people
  • wild branch = group of wicked people
  • last branch = Lehites composed of Nephites and Lamanites
  • fruit = works
  • tame / natural fruit = good works as defined in Torah
  • wild fruit = works of sin / transgaresion / wickedness / lawlessness which is breaking Torah
  • dunging = hardships / affliction
  • pruning = calling repentance
  • dig about = preach / teaching Torah
    • digging about aerating the dirt allowing the roots to penatrate deeper into the soil, such it will not be taken by every wind of doctrine, coupled with that better nuetriants are deeper in the soil, going along with meat of the gospel
  • nourish = giving personal instruction for the continual growth in Yeshua and Torah
  • graft = conversion
  • pluck = destroy / remove
  • lay up = eternal life
  • good spot of ground = Heartland / eastern USA see Book of Mormon Geography

Below are portions of the Allegory of the Olive Tree which have been figured out.

Lehites

Jacob (LDS 5:24-27) (RLDS 3:67-70)
24 And it came to pass that the Lord [Father] of the vineyard [Earth] said again unto His [Father] Servant [Son]: Look hither, and behold another branch [Lehites] also, which I [Father] have planted [relocated]; behold that I [Father] have nourished [instructed] it [Lehites] also, and it [Lehites] hath brought forth fruit [works]. 25 And He [Father] said unto the Servant [Son]: Look hither and behold the last [branch] [Lehites]. Behold, this have I [Father] planted [relocated] in a good spot of ground [Heartland / eastern USA]; and I [Father] have nourished [instructed] it [Lehites] this long time, and only a part of the tree [Nephites] hath brought forth tame fruit [observed Torah], and the other part [Lamanites] of the tree [Lehites] hath brought forth wild fruit [wickedness]; behold, I [Father] have nourished [instructed] this tree [Lehites] like unto the others [branches]. 26 And it came to pass that the Lord [Father] of the vineyard [Earth] said unto the Servant [Son]: Pluck [destroyed] off the branches [Lehites] that have not brought forth good fruit [observed Torah], and cast them into the fire [destroyed]. 27 But behold, the Servant [Son] said unto Him [Father]: Let us [Father & Son] prune [call repentance] it [Lehites], and dig about [preach Torah] it [Lehites], and nourish [instruct] it [Lehites] a little longer, that perhaps it [Lehites] may bring forth good fruit [observe Torah] unto Thee [Father], that Thou [Father] canst lay it up [eternal life] against the season.

Apostasy of Lehites & Branches

Jacob (LDS 5:39-40) (RLDS 3:86-88)
39 And it came to pass that they [Father & Son] went down into the nethermost parts of the vineyard. And it came to pass that they [Father & Son] beheld that the fruit [works] of the natural branches [broken off] had become corrupt also; yea, the first and the second and also the last [Lehites]; and they had all become corrupt [wicked]. 40 And the wild [sinful] fruit [works] of the last [Lehites, Lamanites] had overcome that part [Nephites] of the tree [Lehites] which brought forth good [Torah] fruit [works], even that the branch [Nephites] had withered [stop listening to YHWH’s revelation] away and died [sinned].

Jacob (LDS 5:41-42) (RLDS 3:89:92)

Apostasy of Lehites & Jaredites

Jacob (LDS 5:43-45) (RLDS 3:93-96)
43 And behold this last [branch] [Lehites], whose branch [Lehites] hath withered away [ended wicked], I [Father] did plant [relocate] in a good spot of ground [Heartland / eastern USA]; yea, even that which was choice unto Me [Father] above all other parts of the land of My [Father] vineyard [Earth]. 44 And Thou [Son] beheldest that I [Father] also cut down [destroyed] that [Jaredites] which cumbered [wickedly occupied] this spot of ground [Heartland / eastern USA], that I [Father] might plant [relocate] this tree [Lehites] in the stead thereof. 45 And Thou [Son] beheldest that a part [Nephites] thereof [Lehites] brought forth good fruit [observed Torah], and a part [Lamanites] thereof [Lehites] brought forth wild fruit [wickedness]; and because I [Father] plucked [destroyed] not the branches [Nephites & Lamanites] thereof [Lehites] and cast them into the fire [destroyed], behold, they [Lamanites] have overcome the good branch [Nephites] that it [Nephites] hath withered away [became wicked].

Millenium

Jacob (LDS 5:75-76) (RLDS 3:145-150)
75 And it came to pass that when the Lord of the vineyard saw that his fruit was good, and that his vineyard was no more corrupt, he called up his servants, and said unto them: Behold, for this last time have we nourished my vineyard; and thou beholdest that I have done according to my will; and I have preserved the natural fruit, that it is good, even like as it was in the beginning. And blessed art thou; for because ye have been diligent in laboring with me in my vineyard, and have kept my commandments, and have brought unto me again the natural fruit, that my vineyard is no more corrupted, and the bad is cast away, behold ye shall have joy with me because of the fruit of my vineyard. 76 For behold, for a long time will I lay up of the fruit of my vineyard unto mine own self against the season, which speedily cometh; and for the last time have I nourished my vineyard, and pruned it, and dug about it, and dunged it; wherefore I will lay up unto mine own self of the fruit, for a long time, according to that which I have spoken.

Gog and Magog

Jacob (LDS 5:77) (RLDS 3:151-153) And when the time cometh that evil fruit shall again come into my vineyard, then will I cause the good and the bad to be gathered; and the good will I preserve unto myself, and the bad will I cast away into its own place. And then cometh the season and the end; and my vineyard will I cause to be burned with fire.

Ezekiel 38-39

Revelation 20:7-8
7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
