00:00:10 of a side track it’s crazy in anyways
00:00:13 i know i haven’t posted for a while but
00:00:15 it’s not like i haven’t been working on
00:00:16 things i have been i mean there was a
00:00:19 period of time where i wasn’t because of
00:00:20 stuff i was too busy with work but
00:00:23 i have been working on things lately but
00:00:26 anyways

00:00:31 helped me with something on one verse
00:00:34 but in the chapter it was in it was 35
00:00:37 um
00:00:38 18 i reread that whole chapter because i
00:00:41 like getting the context and whatnot
00:00:43 then
00:00:45 and 13 by 18 at least in my mind has a
00:00:48 lot to do with the the sacrament right i
00:00:51 mean there’s some other things in there
00:00:53 and it’s one of the things he shared
00:00:54 with me
00:00:56 um
00:00:57 but when i was reading through it
00:01:00 you know
00:01:02 i’m always wondering how to better
00:01:03 understand understand the sacrament here
00:01:06 let me share my screen we can go

00:01:23 anyways the one thing
00:01:25 that for whatever reason
00:01:27 um i was thinking about when i was doing
00:01:29 through this is the order
00:01:32 i mean there’s two orders so there’s the
00:01:33 order of the people and then there’s the
00:01:36 order of the emblems
00:01:40 and i was thinking about the order of
00:01:41 the emblems at this time
00:01:44 and
00:01:45 the bread goes first
00:01:48 and then the wine
00:01:50 and i’ve always kind of wondered why and
00:01:52 i’ve never really had an answer
00:01:55 but here’s some thoughts that came to me
00:01:57 um
00:01:58 about that
00:02:02 in coming to know yahweh first we read
00:02:05 the scriptures
00:02:06 and the scriptures
00:02:08 state that
00:02:10 the word is the bread and christ is the
00:02:13 bread right so
00:02:16 first we go to the scriptures
00:02:18 or what you know which could our records
00:02:21 of other people
00:02:23 people’s teaching to bring us to god
00:02:25 right
00:02:27 and then after that we get revelation
00:02:30 which is
00:02:31 um
00:02:33 what’s the word i’m trying to look for
00:02:35 equated to liquid water or wine in the
00:02:38 scriptures
00:02:39 right
00:02:41 the fountain of the living waters yeah
00:02:44 living waters
00:02:45 i mean water has to represent
00:02:48 water represents uh revelation and i
00:02:50 think in a lot of places
00:02:52 right it’s linked with the spirit
00:02:56 yes
00:02:56 yeah i would agree with that because
00:02:59 spirit is revelation anyways
00:03:02 um
00:03:03 so there was that connection i made i
00:03:05 think goes
00:03:06 which goes along with the order bread
00:03:08 then wine right and i think it goes
00:03:10 together and then another one is in
00:03:12 coming to know yahweh first we do it
00:03:14 physically
00:03:16 right which has to do with the
00:03:18 bread and the
00:03:20 body
00:03:21 and then we come to know him spiritually
00:03:24 which comes with
00:03:26 um
00:03:27 liquid or you know wine
00:03:30 and revelation
00:03:33 and then another one is first we come to
00:03:35 know him from
00:03:37 from the scriptures which is bread and
00:03:38 then we
00:03:39 do his will
00:03:42 which at
00:03:43 times is bitter
00:03:45 which is like wine is bitter and then
00:03:46 also you know in the scriptures christ
00:03:49 talks about if you want to know if it’s
00:03:51 from me or from my father or me as in
00:03:54 just some person or my father first you
00:03:57 do it and then you will come to get the
00:04:00 revelation to know it’s actually from
00:04:01 father
00:04:05 and then also here’s one from sermon in
00:04:07 the mouth that i think it applies
00:04:10 that um
00:04:12 i like the one from 35
00:04:14 12 6
00:04:16 more
00:04:17 but hunger
00:04:18 which has to do with food or bread
00:04:22 and thirst which could do with water and
00:04:24 wine after righteousness they shall be
00:04:27 filled with the holy ghost
00:04:30 now the reason that connects is what in
00:04:33 you know the sacrament prayers what
00:04:35 happens
00:04:37 we’re promised to be filled with this
00:04:39 spirit
00:04:41 right i mean i can go get the exact
00:04:42 words real quick
00:04:44 no i get it
00:04:46 um
00:04:48 that’s the promise
00:04:50 yeah and what’s his spirit his spirit is
00:04:51 the holy ghost
00:04:53 so you submit your flesh
00:04:57 so that your spirit can rise
00:04:59 yeah
00:05:03 i mean that’s part of the thing with uh
00:05:05 fasting right is submit your
00:05:09 your body to your spirit so you can get
00:05:13 more right
00:05:16 what also
00:05:17 comes to my mind
00:05:19 is the baptism of water
00:05:22 is for the commandment

00:05:27 and then once the flesh
00:05:30 is being obedient
00:05:33 your spirit
00:05:36 you get the baptized baptism of fire a
00:05:41 fire and the holy ghost
00:05:44 and your spirit rises as well

00:05:49 that’s another good point on in the
00:05:51 order
00:05:54 i’m gonna write that down baptism of

00:06:06 promising to to
00:06:08 keep his commandments which has to do
00:06:12 and broken right does that
00:06:15 and i think
00:06:17 and the wine
00:06:19 it’s we’re promising to always remember

00:06:22 which i i think also goes along with
00:06:24 what you’re saying the the baptism of
00:06:26 water
00:06:28 comments right
00:06:30 right
00:06:32 and then
00:06:33 which has to do
00:06:35 your heart is broken
00:06:38 and then your spirit is contrite
00:06:41 yeah i that’s another one
00:06:43 i think the baptism goes with the order
00:06:46 too all right i hadn’t thought about
00:06:49 that one that one’s a good one
00:06:51 that even goes with the words some i
00:06:53 would say
00:06:55 yeah
00:06:56 because i would say you’re like
00:06:58 bread is what you’re doing right and
00:07:01 even which is keeping the commandments
00:07:03 which goes along with
00:07:04 blessing foreign

00:07:08 prayers say willing
00:07:10 and then the next prayer is you do
00:07:13 uh let’s check so they’re very close i i
00:07:18 one day i want to do analysis of all the
00:07:20 little individual parts but i haven’t
00:07:22 yet but let’s see
00:07:24 so the bread oh god the eternal father
00:07:26 we ask in the name of my son jesus
00:07:27 christ
00:07:29 bread particularly they may eat
00:07:32 versus drink right in the body of thy
00:07:35 son and witness
00:07:38 you’re willing yeah
00:07:40 um so you know baptism of water is a
00:07:43 witness
00:07:46 and they’re willing so there’s the
00:07:48 willing to take upon in the name of thy
00:07:50 son and to always remember him and keep
00:07:53 his commandments which he has given them
00:07:55 that they may always have a spirit be
00:07:56 with them which goes along with the you
00:07:58 know
00:07:59 uh sermon on the mount right
00:08:03 a little bit
00:08:05 we sanctify this wine those who
00:08:08 drink it
00:08:10 couldn’t remember my son which was
00:08:13 shed for them
00:08:15 they may witness okay both have witness
00:08:19 did you always remember him
00:08:22 and so this one
00:08:24 the wine one doesn’t have to keep the
00:08:25 commandments where the

00:08:49 during this progression the lack of a

00:08:56 doing and the keeping

00:09:10 you know keep his commandments and then
00:09:13 going to be with him
00:09:15 right and seeing him
00:09:19 kind of going with the baptism of fire
00:09:21 and seeing him along with that pattern
00:09:23 i’m just thinking out loud here
00:09:26 if you’ve seen him you’d probably always
00:09:27 remember him
00:09:29 right

00:09:31 and you’re sealed
00:09:32 to have your
00:09:34 an election oh that’s all
00:09:38 names and always remember him
00:09:42 and keep his kingdom
00:09:47 the personal commandments that he gives
00:09:51 now to do

00:10:00 there’s the general commandments that
00:10:01 everybody is supposed to be keeping

00:10:05 right like the two great commandments

00:10:08 is a summary of the ten and the tennis

00:10:13 of others
00:10:14 but then there’s the ones like like
00:10:16 nephi was given he was told to write a
00:10:19 record right
00:10:21 right um
00:10:25 lots of people including myself
00:10:29 noah was told to build an ark that was
00:10:32 my nephew
00:10:34 to build a ship
00:10:36 yeah which is
00:10:37 very like under that and i mean brother
00:10:40 jared right he was told to build ships
00:10:44 so they have a vehicle
00:10:47 to ride
00:10:49 and be submerged
00:10:52 in the living waters
00:10:56 so i i would go a little different on
00:10:58 that but i see somewhat where you’re
00:10:59 going
00:11:00 um
00:11:03 so
00:11:04 for my understanding not that i’m an
00:11:06 expert in this because i try to glean
00:11:08 from other people but i see evidence for
00:11:11 it
00:11:12 in
00:11:13 hebrew thought
00:11:14 that
00:11:15 the deep waters are symbolic of chaos
00:11:21 and
00:11:22 like moses he parted
00:11:24 waters he parted the chaos so people go
00:11:26 through christ walked on the waters
00:11:31 the chaos didn’t get to him
00:11:35 the
00:11:37 jaredites they had to go through
00:11:41 the deep waters or the chaos so that way
00:11:44 they could go to the promised land just
00:11:46 like
00:11:47 kind of like life we have to go through
00:11:49 this chaos which
00:11:52 i mean you just finished talking about
00:11:54 some of some of the chaos in your life
00:11:55 right now
00:11:56 so that way we go to the promised land
00:11:58 because it it
00:12:01 it’s a refiner’s fire so to speak right
00:12:05 right
00:12:06 and one thing that’s interesting about
00:12:08 the verse in revelation you know
00:12:10 if you’re neither
00:12:12 too hot or too cold you get spewed out
00:12:14 of his mouth but if you’re not
00:12:16 hot enough
00:12:18 yeah
00:12:19 the
00:12:20 oh the blacksmith
00:12:28 i mean it it kind of sucks when it’s our
00:12:30 own personal life
00:12:32 right when it’s turned up it hurt

00:12:37 i we’ve we both have had that
00:12:40 it can
00:12:42 but it is actually for our good it’s
00:12:44 just sometimes it’s hard to remember
00:12:46 that while we’re actually going through
00:12:47 it um but if it’s not hot enough the
00:12:51 blacksmith
00:12:53 wouldn’t be able to mold
00:12:55 the steel
00:12:56 no it can’t bend

00:13:03 and i think that’s a big reason why you
00:13:06 know revelation says you know if you’re
00:13:08 not either hot or cold he’s gonna spit
00:13:09 you out it’s because well he can’t mold
00:13:11 you
00:13:13 he can’t do anything with you so he’s
00:13:14 getting rid of you
00:13:18 anyways um
00:13:22 anyways
00:13:23 uh that was
00:13:24 one that i had recently about the
00:13:27 sacrament and
00:13:28 and i like your addition to it about the
00:13:31 the you know baptism of water and
00:13:32 baptism of fire i i see some support for
00:13:35 that so
00:13:38 um
00:13:40 i thought that was a nice little insane
00:13:42 while i was working on my
00:13:45 one of my blog posts
00:13:49 it’s good
00:13:51 yeah
00:13:52 you know one thing is unless you want to
00:13:54 talk about something else
00:13:56 on the sacrament
00:13:59 this is interesting and
00:14:02 i looked into this a little bit
00:14:04 back to the so a set of orders of the
00:14:07 emblems but the orders of the members
00:14:10 now
00:14:12 when i seen the scriptures
00:14:15 i see an order
00:14:17 that
00:14:18 those who give it to the people
00:14:20 take it first and then give it to the
00:14:23 people
00:14:25 contrary to lds culture
00:14:28 tradition
00:14:31 um
00:14:33 those who give it out
00:14:35 take it last
00:14:37 at least the whole every time that i can
00:14:40 remember passing the sacrament and doing
00:14:43 it growing up in the church
00:14:45 we always
00:14:46 took it last
00:14:48 okay so
00:14:51 what
00:14:54 you’ll have to repeat that
00:14:57 because i thought he gave it to the
00:14:59 disciples and the disciples gave it to
00:15:02 the people
00:15:06 right um so in 35 18
00:15:10 right that’s what i was um
00:15:12 one that we were just looking at he
00:15:15 busted it
00:15:17 and then he gave it to the disciples in
00:15:19 fact let’s see who
00:15:21 let’s double check because i think
00:15:22 you’re right he
00:15:23 christ actually blessed it

00:15:44 so actually that kind of goes
00:15:49 uh a little different than i was
00:15:50 thinking because he didn’t actually
00:15:54 break it and blessed it and when they
00:15:56 had eaten because it doesn’t actually
00:15:57 say that christ ate it
00:16:00 he took at the bread and break it and
00:16:01 blessed it and he gave it on the
00:16:02 disciples that the command should eat it
00:16:04 so he doesn’t actually say that christ
00:16:06 ate it i mean
00:16:08 presumably but the account doesn’t
00:16:11 actually say that
00:16:12 right
00:16:14 right
00:16:15 and so
00:16:16 in that respect it does kind of support
00:16:18 lds tradition that the ones in
00:16:20 authority
00:16:22 like the bishop would take it first
00:16:25 because here he gave it to the disciples
00:16:28 and then
00:16:29 the disciples gave it to the others
00:16:34 but it’s interesting though kind of
00:16:35 along with what i was thinking though
00:16:39 who’s the one that gave it to the people
00:16:42 it was those who took it
00:16:44 and then they gave it to the people
00:16:46 yeah it was the disciples he said now
00:16:52 and so i tried to look in dnc 20
00:16:56 um that deals with the sacrament some
00:16:59 and it doesn’t say the bishop has to get
00:17:00 it first
00:17:03 so as far as i know that’s just a
00:17:05 tradition not based on scriptures though
00:17:08 i will admit dnc is not my strong point
00:17:13 um
00:17:14 but i did look in the index and i
00:17:16 couldn’t find anything that said that
00:17:18 the bishop needed it first
00:17:19 or or stay present right because those
00:17:21 are the two common ones
00:17:25 i i didn’t find anything on that but
00:17:28 what i see in the scriptures
00:17:30 i guess it could be argued either way
00:17:32 because it was one as an authority
00:17:34 getting it first
00:17:36 but the ones in the authority were also
00:17:38 the ones that were actually doing the
00:17:40 passing
00:17:41 um
00:17:42 so that’s
00:17:43 it could be argued either way on that
00:17:45 and i think
00:17:48 though
00:17:49 here’s my
00:17:50 if you claim the authority part here’s
00:17:54 what i would
00:17:55 counteract with
00:17:57 is that christ had just started setting
00:18:00 up the church
00:18:02 or
00:18:05 that i would say it a little different
00:18:06 trying to be a little more correct the
00:18:08 missionaries
00:18:10 for the church
00:18:13 and this is one thing i talked about in
00:18:14 my much versus all post and i see it in
00:18:17 the dnc and quotes from joseph smith but
00:18:20 i’ll just say this real quick
00:18:23 that the 12 apostles only have authority
00:18:26 in missionary work or where the church
00:18:30 or
00:18:31 the church has not been established yet
00:18:33 meaning there’s not enough members there
00:18:35 yet to have a
00:18:37 church
00:18:39 and once there’s enough members in area
00:18:40 then they establish the church and then
00:18:43 the 12 have no authority there but at
00:18:45 this point right here
00:18:47 in the record
00:18:49 the church was just barely established
00:18:52 so the only ones that had authority
00:18:56 or the 12th so that’s why they’re doing
00:18:58 it
00:18:59 is how i would take it because if we go
00:19:01 look at acts 15
00:19:05 who makes the decision in acts 15 it’s
00:19:08 james the brother of jesus the head
00:19:11 bishop or judge
00:19:14 he’s the church it was not the apostles
00:19:19 which are for missionaries
00:19:23 if that makes sense
00:19:29 team things have been established where
00:19:32 like acts 2 day of pentecost they hadn’t
00:19:35 been established yet for you know if you
00:19:37 want to get into that but anyways
00:19:39 i just see that there’s
00:19:41 i see it in acts and i see it here
00:19:42 there’s a progression of
00:19:46 creating missionaries and then creating
00:19:48 it and then later
00:19:50 uh an organized church and the two arms
00:19:53 of the missionary work and the actual
00:19:55 church are two different arms that
00:19:59 um there are two different uh
00:20:01 authorities so to speak
00:20:04 well see when you say the word church
00:20:08 we’ve been programmed
00:20:10 to think of a building
00:20:14 and these people
00:20:17 gathered
00:20:18 together in their homes
00:20:21 oh yeah in acts yeah i
00:20:25 uh
00:20:27 the building doesn’t matter to me but i
00:20:30 know a lot of people think it’s true
00:20:35 in the book of mormon
00:20:37 and even in the
00:20:40 better translation of the new testament
00:20:42 shows that a better word for churches
00:20:44 assembly and there’s
00:20:47 i’ve even
00:20:48 okay
00:20:49 i’ve even
00:20:51 studied it further
00:20:53 that it
00:20:55 if
00:20:56 if i can remember it’s
00:20:59 a creos
00:21:02 and ek means
00:21:03 called
00:21:05 and krios is like out
00:21:08 and so they’re called out
00:21:12 of the rome
00:21:14 government the rome authority

00:21:22 caesar being the king

00:21:26 is their king

00:21:30 what governs them
00:21:33 are his laws
00:21:35 which is the beatitude
00:21:38 and his pure doctrine

00:21:49 i would say sermon on the mount is this
00:21:53 is how to keep torah
00:21:56 it’s christ teachings and how to keep
00:21:57 torah um
00:21:59 because i i’m actually bringing out on
00:22:01 the one post that i have right now how
00:22:03 one verse in there actually
00:22:05 relates to torah i may bring out a
00:22:08 couple but anyways
00:22:10 um
00:22:13 what i see is
00:22:16 it is guidelines for society
00:22:20 to no longer just have
00:22:24 brothers and sisters
00:22:26 on this earth
00:22:28 but it raises
00:22:31 them to a society of angels
00:22:35 wow
00:22:37 i would call it a lot more than just
00:22:39 guidelines um i would say there are laws
00:22:42 and i think the scriptures
00:22:44 support that whatever christ says we
00:22:46 need to do because it’s law and like
00:22:49 exactly
00:22:50 it’s his commandment in a given setting
00:22:54 it’s not the letter but it’s the spirit
00:22:58 how
00:22:59 his
00:23:00 holy spirit
00:23:03 directs you the same thing
00:23:06 that neat
00:23:11 the spirit versus the letter they’re the
00:23:14 same
00:23:17 there’s nowhere in scriptures
00:23:20 that they’re different in fact the
00:23:22 spirit will never have you
00:23:25 contradict the letter
00:23:26 never
00:23:29 the letter
00:23:31 has not
00:23:33 been
00:23:34 defiled so
00:23:36 here’s a go-to for that for me

00:23:40 alma 37 20.

00:23:45 commandments as god as they are written

00:25:15 to be take keeping
00:25:18 the torah because it’s a telescope
00:25:20 kingdom no
00:25:23 i disagree about that i mean
00:25:26 the the title ezekiel and isaiah both

00:25:36 in the millennium
