0:00:05 This message is Spirit inspired
0:00:20 Message is about apostasy, returning, and charity
0:00:34 charity towards the apostate
0:00:43 for those who have apostatized, are coming out of apostasy, and are seeking to avoid it
0:01:00 Steven Retz: We are speaking of apostasy from YHWH’s truth.
0:01:20 Apostasy = a defection or to depart from the truth
0:01:32 The great apostasy is apostasy from the way
0:01:44 The way = the set apart life that shows our love for YHWH
0:01:52 If you claim to love YHWH and reject his Torah then you are a liar and need to repent
0:02:13 To repent is to return to the Law (Torah)
0:02:17 Apostasy defined according to the 1828 Webster’s Dictionary
0:02:40 What do those trying to live the law need to defend against to avoid apostasy?
0:03:12 We have to guard against the false traditions by which the world worships their God
0:03:38 The gentiles have tried to change the way and subvert it to pagan practice
0:03:55 YHWH’s eyes ar the only eyes that matter for determining true worship

0:04:30 Truth shows false traditions
0:04:48 Josh Sickles: We know nothing
0:05:08 Josh Sickles: We have to realize that we don’t have the truth
0:05:15 The way to come to this understanding is by searching and studying the scriptures
0:05:25 Scriptures are the springboard for the revelations you will receive
0:05:42 Those who teach that celebrating pagan holidays is okay are bad teachers
0:06:08 Steven Retz: BOM teaches that teachers should be living the law
0:06:30 Pastors of lawlessness should be cut off as dangerous and useless branches
0:07:35 Steven Retz: Any sin indulged in will lead to apostasy
0:07:45 Steven Retz: Repented sin does not lead to apostasy

0:08:37 The majority of pastors today teach a lawless religion
0:09:00 The Law of Moses was nailed to the cross
0:09:18 Torah was not nailed to the cross
0:09:24 Torah is about righteous action
0:09:30 In Hebrew: Charity = righteousness, just and righteous action
0:10:11 Pure religion is to take care of the widows and fatherless
0:10:20 Tithing was established for this purpose. It is a righteous action.
0:10:40 Taking care of those who can’t take care of themselves is a part of charity

00:00:00 there you
00:00:02 go got
00:00:04 it so
00:00:08 um the spirit earlier this week hit me
00:00:14 with the importance of sharing a message
00:00:17 that is about
00:00:20 apostasy it’s and it’s about returning
00:00:23 and
00:00:24 repenting and
00:00:28 charity I am I I was given to teach
00:00:32 about CH about charity towards the
00:00:36 apostate and towards those and and this
00:00:41 is a message for those it’s a message
00:00:44 for those who have apostatized it’s
00:00:46 those who are trying to come out of
00:00:48 apostasy and for those who seek to guard
00:00:53 themselves against apostasy so and let
00:00:56 me uh maybe just clarify a little bit
00:00:58 but I’m pretty sure you’re thinking this
00:01:00 not apostasy to a particular church but
00:01:03 apostasy from yahweh’s way this this is
00:01:06 why I actually highlighted what the
00:01:08 original Greek word that now is meant to
00:01:11 be about that’s now that’s currently
00:01:15 that’s commonly applied to religion it’s
00:01:18 simply a defection or to depart right
00:01:22 right but we can depart a church you can
00:01:25 depart church can also depart but you
00:01:28 but the but the Great apostasy is to
00:01:30 depart from the way I agree with you I’m
00:01:33 just clarifying that for people I think
00:01:36 when most people hear that they think of
00:01:38 from a church right right but we’re not
00:01:40 we’re not talking about a religion we’re
00:01:42 talking about we’re talking about the
00:01:44 way the set aart life that is supposed
00:01:47 to be lived by those who love
00:01:51 Yahweh and if you say you love Yahweh
00:01:54 and you do not live set apart life if
00:01:56 you do not follow the law and you say
00:01:58 you love your way
00:02:00 then you then you are a liar and an
00:02:03 apostate you need to
00:02:06 repent now is returning to the law right
00:02:10 yes to repent is to return
00:02:12 for so let I I think thought it would be
00:02:16 good to begin by going over the basic
00:02:19 definition of apostasy this is according
00:02:21 to the 1828 Webster’s Dictionary the
00:02:24 original Greek simply means a defection
00:02:26 or to depart um the usually
00:02:30 as you can see here uh on the screen
00:02:33 it’s usually applied to Faith or
00:02:35 religion uh what are some things that
00:02:38 those of us what are some things that
00:02:39 those of us who who
00:02:43 are trying to live the law have to guard
00:02:47 against in terms of the in terms of
00:02:50 potential
00:02:51 apostasy and anyone can answer this
00:02:54 question this is this is oh oh you
00:02:56 asking you actually this is question
00:02:59 question what are some things that we
00:03:01 have to guard against as we try to as we
00:03:03 try to uh as as we as we attempt to
00:03:08 overcome the apostasy of our ancestors
00:03:10 and the return to
00:03:12 Torah well uh just like to start off in
00:03:15 general this get this discussion
00:03:17 starting in Jeremiah it talks about how
00:03:20 the Gentiles will be sold lies right I
00:03:23 mean that’s not exactly how it says it
00:03:25 but we I can go look up the exact quote
00:03:26 if we want and um
00:03:30 a lot of that has to do with a lot of
00:03:32 the uh Pagan Traditions that were
00:03:35 told or let me specify a little better
00:03:38 the Pagan Traditions that they used to
00:03:41 celebrate their false gods with that
00:03:43 then we have the Gentiles have accepted
00:03:46 and used as tried to transform it and I
00:03:50 said try because you can’t um right and
00:03:55 yahweh’s eyes um and that’s the eyes
00:03:58 that matter and Tred to make it
00:04:00 into um celebrations that we like to do
00:04:04 on an annual basis that’s a real big one
00:04:07 in yeah I was I was gonna say the false
00:04:10 Traditions that that that we have become
00:04:14 accustomed to growing up and it’s just
00:04:19 while it’s just as important and while
00:04:20 it’s just as important to guard against
00:04:22 false Traditions it’s very important to
00:04:25 immerse ourselves in the
00:04:27 truth exactly and that help
00:04:30 uh doing that helps us learn what the
00:04:32 false Traditions are because sometimes
00:04:33 we don’t know what is false right
00:04:36 correct correct I mean we we all of us
00:04:39 here have have found
00:04:42 ourselves at a point in time in our life
00:04:44 where we realize that oh my
00:04:46 goodness I I I don’t know anything which
00:04:50 thing I never have before
00:04:52 supposed right and we’ve all found
00:04:54 ourselves in that situation and then yes
00:04:58 I agree man that that yes we do need to
00:05:01 immerse ourselves but before we can
00:05:03 immerse ourselves in the law and and and
00:05:05 in the truth we have to realize that we
00:05:09 didn’t have the truth yes and but but
00:05:13 the and the only way to the only way to
00:05:15 get to the point where you realize you
00:05:16 didn’t have the truth is to actually
00:05:18 read and study and search your
00:05:22 scriptures because it’s your scriptures
00:05:24 that contain the truth and and it’s the
00:05:26 scriptures that are the springboard for
00:05:28 the revelation that you will receive
00:05:30 from
00:05:32 yway and so you will you will need so we
00:05:36 need to study our scriptures as we get
00:05:38 in as we’re figuring out what the truth
00:05:40 is now I’m going to tell you if you
00:05:45 are receiving your spiritual nourishment
00:05:48 from somebody who tells you that it is
00:05:50 okay to celebrate
00:05:52 Christmas that is probably something
00:05:55 that you want to consider that is some
00:05:57 that is a relationship that you will
00:05:58 want to consider very
00:06:00 carefully well at least not have be your
00:06:03 teacher anymore to uh get spiritual
00:06:06 nourishment from right because in the
00:06:08 Book of Mormon it talks about teachers
00:06:10 should be first living the law and then
00:06:14 if they’re encouraging something that’s
00:06:16 contrary to the law they’re not living
00:06:18 it themselves right so yes and similarly
00:06:23 if you’re if
00:06:24 you um the a lot of the pastors which
00:06:29 preach a Reckless Love type of
00:06:33 Jesus
00:06:35 um and they don’t teach the Yeshua of
00:06:37 the
00:06:39 scriptures these are probably these
00:06:41 ought to be cut off as useless and
00:06:43 dangerous branches they are apostate and
00:06:46 will only and only will only admire you
00:06:49 deeper in your apostasy right and just
00:06:51 FYI for those who don’t know he’s BS
00:06:54 alluding to a quote from Joseph Smith
00:06:57 right yes that he’s not just making it
00:07:01 up right yeah it is a quote from yeah
00:07:04 Joseph Smith did did say that so those
00:07:08 those who teach things which run
00:07:10 contrary to the Bible the Book of Mormon
00:07:12 and the doctrine and the Doctrine and
00:07:14 Covenants ought to be they ought to be
00:07:17 cut they ought to be cut
00:07:19 off and set aside as useless and
00:07:22 dangerous
00:07:24 branches yeah
00:07:27 that’s to paraphrase Prophet Joseph
00:07:33 so so one thing I will just say in in
00:07:36 general and we need to be careful of
00:07:38 this statement because any sin that we
00:07:42 start justifying will start leading us
00:07:44 to apostasy now a sin that we then
00:07:48 repent of will not but as in DC 121
00:07:52 talks about if we Tred to hide our sins
00:07:55 Amen to that man’s priesthood or
00:07:58 basically to TI to to men and women
00:08:01 their connection to Elohim
00:08:04 right apostasy there are many that you
00:08:07 sin is that you try to hide it and
00:08:10 pretend it wasn’t a sin right that’s
00:08:13 what try to justify you basically try to
00:08:15 justify well there are and there are
00:08:16 many people who try to justify their
00:08:18 sins and they do so by teaching that the
00:08:20 law was done away right right and I I I
00:08:24 I see where that clarification is needed
00:08:26 but I think that’s under hiding their
00:08:28 sins but right that is a good
00:08:30 clarification right yes that is that’s a
00:08:32 good clarification thank you um they
00:08:36 there are many people today teach a
00:08:38 lawless gospel in fact the majority of
00:08:41 those who we look up to of those who
00:08:45 when I say we I’m not talking about us
00:08:47 particularly uh this is also recorded so
00:08:50 uh the world right the world in general
00:08:53 uh the majority of people that we look
00:08:55 up to will teach us that the law is no
00:08:57 more that it was nailed to the cross
00:08:59 cross with Christ there was a law nailed
00:09:02 to the cross with Christ that was the
00:09:04 that was the punishment Meed out as the
00:09:07 law of Moses which involved the
00:09:08 slaughtering of lambs the slaughtering
00:09:10 of lambs
00:09:12 daily um that was nailed to the cross of
00:09:15 Christ the
00:09:17 um the rest Torah was not nailed to the
00:09:20 cross with Christ
00:09:23 Torah is all about righteous action
00:09:26 which leads us to what is charity
00:09:32 charity the Hebrew definition of charity
00:09:35 the he the charity in Hebrew is setaka
00:09:38 which is a word meaning
00:09:40 righteousness
00:09:42 um it it refers the obligation to do
00:09:46 that which is right
00:09:48 just but the
00:09:50 uh in fact it was
00:09:53 not in fact this word Sedaka was not
00:09:57 applied to the charity of through the
00:10:00 giving kind of Charity until the
00:10:04 um until the until it was adapted to
00:10:07 that use by rinic Judaism well so I I’ll
00:10:11 disagree just a little bit because pure
00:10:13 religion is to take care of the widowed
00:10:15 and the fatherless right that’s true
00:10:18 giving so this goes into tithing tithing
00:10:21 is supposed to go to a poor person and
00:10:25 not to a rich Church to invest in
00:10:28 Babylon so part of being righteous is
00:10:32 giving tithing that’s part go to poor
00:10:35 that’s part of obeying the Commandments
00:10:37 which is which is what charity is right
00:10:39 right but it’s somewhere along the way
00:10:43 and maybe it’s because of retic gism I
00:10:45 don’t know for sure but um they focused
00:10:49 on just giving away money versus um
00:10:53 keeping the Commandments right right the
00:10:56 the ethical obligation to do that which
00:10:57 is right just including taking care of
00:11:00 the poor and those who can’t take care
00:11:02 of themselves so for some reason they
00:11:04 started to focus on just that one point
00:11:06 called it charity yeah but yeah the
00:11:09 thing is is that sataka the actual
00:11:12 taking care of the widows and the
00:11:14 fatherless
00:11:18 um the actual taking care of the widows
00:11:21 in the fatherless is actually U long
00:11:24 been considered one of the um it’s long
00:11:28 been considered one of those things
00:11:30 which can turn back the judgments of God
00:11:33 um so
00:11:35 tie which can turn back a the the
00:11:38 judgments of God this is of course that
00:11:41 is tradition
00:11:43 um not sure so I I do see tithing is
00:11:47 part of the fifth commandment and the
00:11:49 10th commandment because what one thing
00:11:52 that there’s part of the tithing you
00:11:55 give to the levitical priests and then
00:11:57 there’s a there’s a part part of tithing
00:11:59 that you give to the poor personally
00:12:01 okay so that’s another subject but I’m
00:12:03 just letting you know I do believe that
00:12:06 tithing is part of the fifth commandment
00:12:08 and the tenth commandment okay well that
00:12:10 would that would make sense because it
00:12:12 all ties into the two great Commandments
00:12:15 which is love the Lord thy God with all
00:12:17 thy heart might mind and strength and
00:12:19 love your neighbor as yourself correct
00:12:22 yes and so so we have this Hebrew
00:12:25 definition the Hebrew word
00:12:27 OFA which actually is found that root
00:12:31 word is found in the name of the first
00:12:34 in the name of the great high priest
00:12:37 melis um the uh king of
00:12:43 righteousness
00:12:44 so um so the thing
00:12:49 is it’s about keeping the Commandments
00:12:52 just as much as it is about helping
00:12:54 other people well helping other people
00:12:58 is Commandments right there’s a
00:13:00 commandment which I I find it
00:13:02 interesting in mosiah
00:13:04 18 uh Elma The Elder felt like it was
00:13:07 such a big deal at the time when it was
00:13:09 came time to baptize people he focused
00:13:12 on that part of the law of you know
00:13:15 mourning with those that mourn comfort
00:13:17 those who need and comfort and I think
00:13:19 the he focused on that part but in there
00:13:23 even mosiah 18 brings out how we’re
00:13:24 supposed when
00:13:26 we um make the COV
00:13:29 before we’re baptized is covenanting to
00:13:31 keep all of yahweh’s Commandments but he
00:13:35 did decide to focus on that part of well
00:13:37 and I do believe that the reason I do
00:13:40 believe that the reason why the emphasis
00:13:43 on helping others in that section is
00:13:45 because it actually uh it actually runs
00:13:48 against our natural man completely
00:13:50 because we tend to be very
00:13:53 survivalist natural men and so it it
00:13:57 mortify the it putting other people’s
00:13:59 needs On a par with our own mortifies
00:14:02 the natural
00:14:03 M and so which makes us more likely
00:14:07 which actually makes us more likely to
00:14:09 be able to keep the rest of the
00:14:11 Commandments sure sure because we don’t
00:14:13 know what’s going to happen tomorrow so
00:14:14 we have to rely on Yahweh more that’s
00:14:17 right so behold so here we go and this
00:14:21 there’s there’s the scriptural and
00:14:23 here’s something on the from the from
00:14:25 the Book of Mormon talking about um
00:14:29 in 2 Nephi
00:14:31 26:30 it’s
00:14:34 uh the talking about charity behold the
00:14:38 Lord hath forbidden this thing wherefore
00:14:39 the Lord God hath given a Commandment
00:14:41 that all men should have charity which
00:14:43 is to keep the Commandments which
00:14:45 charity keeping the Commandments is love
00:14:47 according to John 14:15 if you love me
00:14:50 keep my Commandments and except they
00:14:52 should have charity which is to keep the
00:14:53 Commandments they were nothing wherefore
00:14:56 if they should have charity I keep the
00:14:59 Commandments they would not suffer the
00:15:01 laborer and Zion to perish they would
00:15:03 take care of the
00:15:07 poor when we’re keeping the Commandments
00:15:09 we’re taking care of the poor when we’re
00:15:11 taking care of the poor we’re keeping
00:15:13 the Commandments the two are actually
00:15:15 connected and so the so the point is
00:15:19 charity is about keeping the
00:15:20 Commandments and I’m going to go and I’m
00:15:23 going to and I feel to go from there to
00:15:26 First Corinthians chapter 13: 4 through
00:15:29 7 where we’re going to talk
00:15:32 about we’re going to talk about charity
00:15:34 we’re going to find out where all these
00:15:36 word where all these where all these
00:15:38 descriptors of Charity come from we’re g
00:15:41 to find out that most that all of these
00:15:45 descriptors of
00:15:47 Charity are
00:15:49 actually
00:15:50 Commandments of
00:15:53 Torah
00:15:56 and if only even if that even if only in
00:16:00 the fact they are description of God
00:16:02 which Torah is designed to help us
00:16:04 become like
00:16:06 God through the denial through the
00:16:09 denial of the man of
00:16:13 sin
00:16:15 so um Zach you want to read 1
00:16:18 Corinthians 13 4-7 for me
00:16:23 here charity suffereth long and is kind
00:16:27 charity enth not charity vth not is not
00:16:31 puffed up does not behave itself
00:16:35 unseemly seeketh not her own is not
00:16:38 easily provoked think thinketh no evil
00:16:42 rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth
00:16:45 in the truth beareth all things
00:16:48 believeth all
00:16:49 things hopeth all things endureth all
00:16:53 things okay so like I say here in the
00:16:57 next little bit there all these are
00:16:58 Commandments of Torah um so just on that
00:17:02 real quick all things is a key word for
00:17:05 Torah and I’m that’s that I’m gonna get
00:17:09 to that oh okay sorry yeah I’m gonna get
00:17:12 to so first let’s go into each one of
00:17:15 these uh let’s go into each one of these
00:17:18 things here let’s see charity suffer
00:17:20 long um Josh you want to read Exodus
00:17:24 346
00:17:26 sure and the Lord passed
00:17:29 by before him and proclaimed the Lord
00:17:33 the Lord God merciful and gracious
00:17:36 longsuffering and abundant in goodness
00:17:39 and Truth longsuffering is a trait of
00:17:44 God and Torah teaches us how to be like
00:17:48 Elohim right yes it is a trait of it is
00:17:51 a trait of Elohim uh but what is
00:17:55 longsuffering it’s more than just
00:17:57 patience oh well we’re we’ll we’ll get
00:18:00 yeah it’s it is more than just patience
00:18:03 is it okay if we do a little Sidetrack
00:18:05 and go to the dictionary Ben yeah let’s
00:18:07 I’ll I’ll I’ll get that up okay let’s
00:18:10 [Music]
00:18:13 see
00:18:18 okay because I know a lot of people like
00:18:20 to equate longsuffering with patience
00:18:22 but
00:18:23 it’s I know it’s more than that yeah
00:18:27 well there things I I would suggest
00:18:29 maybe we look at the 1828 dictionary
00:18:32 that’s what I’m look at Bible Hub so we
00:18:35 can look at the actual Hebrew rout
00:18:36 behind it so those are two things I
00:18:39 would suggest 1828 Websters Dictionary
00:18:43 so Ben you need to push your
00:18:46 buttons oh or do you want me push your
00:18:48 buttons I’ll stop share and reh and
00:18:52 share screen whole
00:18:55 screen at least someone got the joke
00:19:00 all right yeah okay does everyone see
00:19:02 the definition here well I see the
00:19:05 definition of by right okay so but so
00:19:09 but you see some but you see the diction
00:19:11 yeah yeah I see the
00:19:14 longsuffering bearing injuries or
00:19:16 provocation for a long time patient not
00:19:19 easily
00:19:22 provoked well one thing I I think that
00:19:24 stands out to me is bearing injury
00:19:29 meaning when someone’s hurting you you
00:19:33 don’t um you don’t lash out right you
00:19:37 don’t you don’t necessarily lash out at
00:19:39 them and uh try to hurt them back right
00:19:43 right right you you may start trying to
00:19:45 protect yourself well that’s
00:19:46 understandable but you you don’t try to
00:19:48 hurt them back it’s pretty much the
00:19:50 opposite of eye for an eye ear for an
00:19:52 ear yeah well so those are Hebrew idioms
00:19:56 we can talk about another time oh I know
00:19:59 but it is different how most people
00:20:01 interpret that right right right because
00:20:04 that means something different than what
00:20:06 most people think it does yeah and let’s
00:20:09 actually just go let’s actually minimize
00:20:11 this again and let’s go now to open up a
00:20:14 new one and let’s go to Bible Hub Bible
00:20:20 Hub Bible
00:20:27 Hub
00:20:29 oh that first link is the church that’s
00:20:35 funny I remember the first time I ran
00:20:37 into that I they they suckered me in
00:20:40 because I wasn’t expecting it um so go
00:20:43 up to Genesis and I think it was in
00:20:45 Exodus right it’s in go top
00:20:50 left Exodus
00:20:56 346 uh let go here
00:21:02 Exodus go Exodus
00:21:05 34 Exodus oh hold on did ex
00:21:14 okay and we go to
00:21:19 verse come on there we go
00:21:24 six
00:21:26 okay let’s see
00:21:30 this is interesting now it says
00:21:31 compassionate and gracious slow to anger
00:21:34 the King James version says the Lord the
00:21:37 Lord merciful and gracious longsuffering
00:21:40 longsuffering slow to anger this
00:21:44 is there’s two different words there
00:21:47 well go to the
00:21:49 Interlinear yep
00:21:53 Interlinear
00:21:57 and
00:22:00 slow
00:22:02 Eric let’s go let’s P the number the
00:22:05 number one works
00:22:06 better okay pull that up and a new
00:22:11 [Music]
00:22:15 tab and that
00:22:19 is
00:22:20 long that the definition of the
00:22:23 word etic is long this would be long
00:22:27 time right right
00:22:30 yeah yeah get slow to anger slow to
00:22:34 anger slow to anger all of those are all
00:22:37 those scriptures that it’s used in are
00:22:38 about being the Lord being slow to anger
00:22:41 longsuffering okay so go back to Exodus
00:22:44 34 let’s go find the other Hebrew word
00:22:47 okay let’s go back here and the other
00:22:51 word to
00:22:53 anger uh numbers better
00:22:56 yep
00:22:59 and we’ll put flip that
00:23:02 up nostril nose face anger and say yeah
00:23:06 literally means slow to anger
00:23:10 there swe up your face it’s funny though
00:23:12 it’s associated with the nose right yeah
00:23:17 because when you’re angry when you’re
00:23:20 angry your nose all with a lot of people
00:23:22 when they’re angry their nose flares up
00:23:24 yeah right well nose has to do with
00:23:27 trust
00:23:28 yeah when you lie trust is lost like
00:23:31 with in Pinocchio right yeah and his
00:23:34 nose just and when you’re angry is
00:23:36 because you don’t trust what the person
00:23:39 did was in your in their your best
00:23:43 benefit right that they weren’t seeking
00:23:45 to help you this has to do with trust
00:23:48 you get angry when you don’t trust
00:23:50 someone yeah yes so and so that so that
00:23:55 was so that was that was informative
00:23:57 with regards to Long
00:23:58 suffering is that
00:24:01 um slow to anger slow to break
00:24:06 trust now you can get angry because
00:24:09 Yeshua did get angry right Old Testament
00:24:12 and in the new the the word the key word
00:24:15 being slow slow anger yes that is
00:24:22 word so let’s go into the next uh but
00:24:25 also don’t let your anger control you
00:24:30 yes uh Debbie do you want to read
00:24:32 numbers
00:24:38 1418 you’re muted if you want to read
00:24:43 Debbie okay let’s see I don’t know I I
00:24:47 don’t if you can’t read it that’s
00:24:49 highlight it Ben highlight it so
00:24:51 she here we go can you read it let me
00:24:55 see here yes the Lord is long suffering
00:24:58 and of great Mercy forgiving iniquity
00:25:01 and transgression and by no means clear
00:25:05 see clearing the guilty visiting the
00:25:07 iniquity of the fathers upon the
00:25:10 children unto the third and fourth
00:25:12 generation so here while he’s talking
00:25:14 about the longsuffering and mercy of the
00:25:16 Lord who forgives iniquity and
00:25:19 transgression those who haven’t repented
00:25:21 are still guilty right they are not
00:25:25 clear so the last part where brings out
00:25:28 how he he visits the iniquity of the
00:25:30 fathers upon the children third and
00:25:33 fourth generation is
00:25:34 because for three and four generations
00:25:37 they keep breaking Torah the same way
00:25:42 right because the children are taught by
00:25:44 their
00:25:46 fathers break Torah yes right because
00:25:49 even just just before it talks about how
00:25:51 he forgives iniquity and transgression
00:25:54 but those are those who with the broken
00:25:56 heart and contrite spirit who are are
00:26:00 repenting yes right makes
00:26:05 sense otherwise they’re still doing the
00:26:07 same sin and it’s typical that this sin
00:26:11 stays within a family for three to four
00:26:14 generations yes yeah before you find
00:26:17 somebody you can actually break the
00:26:18 generational curse as it were cor right
00:26:22 um let’s see Stephen do you want to read
00:26:25 Psalm 8615 yep but thou oh Yahweh art
00:26:30 thou an Elohim or judge full of
00:26:34 compassion and gracious and
00:26:37 longsuffering and plenteous in Mercy and
00:26:41 Truth all of
00:26:43 this on the nature of God how
00:26:46 longsuffering is in his
00:26:49 nature and
00:26:52 how and the Commandment from Torah is to
00:26:56 love God
00:26:58 and if we love God we want to be like
00:27:02 him one thing I think is important to
00:27:04 bring out with this verse and what we’re
00:27:05 seeing here The Compassion Mercy has to
00:27:08 do with
00:27:10 forgiveness right and it has everything
00:27:12 to do and that has to go along with the
00:27:14 longsuffering subject that we’re on
00:27:16 right now when you forgive people you’re
00:27:19 able to be
00:27:21 longsuffering right you don’t get angry
00:27:23 when you
00:27:24 forgive
00:27:26 nope
00:27:28 so um Brandon do you want to read or do
00:27:32 you just are or you just want to hang
00:27:35 out uh so um Ben let’s pause for one
00:27:38 second okay
00:27:42 okay so Kelsey would you like to read
00:27:45 Elma chapter 7 verses 23 and 23 I will
00:27:49 let me get there 23 and 24 yeah 23 and
00:27:53 24
00:27:55 okay and now I would that you should be
00:27:57 humble and be submissive and gentle easy
00:28:00 to be entreated full of patience and
00:28:03 longsuffering being temperate in all
00:28:05 things being diligent and keeping the
00:28:07 Commandments of God at all times asking
00:28:09 for whatsoever things you stand in need
00:28:12 both spiritual and temporal always
00:28:14 returning thanks unto God for whatsoever
00:28:17 things you do receive and see that ye
00:28:20 have faith hope and charity and then ye
00:28:23 will always abound in Good Works
00:28:25 something that stands out to me here is
00:28:27 how closely this corresponds with Paul’s
00:28:31 um with Paul’s definition uh with
00:28:34 Paul’s um explanation explanation of
00:28:38 what charity is and and so it’s
00:28:41 basically delivering this he’s basically
00:28:44 delivering the same
00:28:45 message but I think that it’s important
00:28:48 here he’s he’s he’s intreating people to
00:28:51 be full of patience and longsuffering
00:28:54 which as we’ve read in the previous
00:28:56 three verses longsuffering is one of the
00:28:59 primary attributes of God is one of the
00:29:01 primary attributes of Yahweh and
00:29:04 so right and and so one thing I want to
00:29:07 bring out how Elma is saying do these
00:29:11 things where Paul says if you’re keeping
00:29:14 Torah AKA Spirit which another better
00:29:18 definition I would say in this case is
00:29:20 behavior you will have these things
00:29:24 right that is correct that is correct so
00:29:27 he’s saying so he’s saying that if
00:29:29 you’re if you’re exhibiting the behavior
00:29:32 of Charity you will have these things
00:29:35 you will be these things will abound in
00:29:37 you um and so the behavior and the
00:29:41 behavior of Charity is that we keep the
00:29:44 Commandments
00:29:45 um and
00:29:48 so
00:29:50 mosiah okay Josh you want to read mosiah
00:29:53 27:33
00:29:55 sure but notwithstanding ing all
00:29:58 this they did impart much consolation to
00:30:01 the church confirming their faith and
00:30:04 exhorting them with
00:30:06 longsuffering and much travail to keep
00:30:10 the Commandments of God so long so
00:30:13 longsuffering seems to be one of those
00:30:15 things that’s actually key in doing the
00:30:18 Lord’s work we have to be not we have to
00:30:21 be slow to be
00:30:22 offended so um are you okay if we crack
00:30:26 and look at travail in the dictionary in
00:30:28 the dictionary not at
00:30:35 all not at all a
00:30:38 problem I don’t mind at all travail to
00:30:42 labor with pain or to
00:30:45 toil uh or to her also well you’ve
00:30:50 skipped one I’m sure the women can help
00:30:53 us understand this one a lot more than
00:30:55 we can right yeah to suffer the pangs of
00:30:58 child birth to be in
00:31:00 labor yeah I I’m I’m sure that’s
00:31:04 hard
00:31:06 yeah uh to Har just FYI to go along with
00:31:11 that the second coming or the days
00:31:15 before the second coming talks about as
00:31:18 the days of child birth
00:31:22 right so we we do need to go through the
00:31:26 travail
00:31:28 right anyways yes um and
00:31:32 also the verb transitive to harass to
00:31:36 tire is trouble sufficient to travail
00:31:38 the
00:31:39 [Music]
00:31:40 realm uh then there labor with pain
00:31:44 severe toil
00:31:46 noun as everything appr price so does so
00:31:50 does this require travail and I think
00:31:53 there it is being
00:31:56 used
00:31:58 let me how is I think it’s bringing out
00:32:01 that um the culture is going to really
00:32:06 test us right yes yep
00:32:12 yep definitely culture is gonna try to
00:32:15 make it hard for us to keep uh yahweh’s
00:32:18 Torah right yeah it’s going to it’s
00:32:21 going to run against it’s G to run it
00:32:23 runs against the grain yes
00:32:27 but uh not withstanding all of this they
00:32:29 did impart much consolation to the
00:32:31 church confirming their faith and exort
00:32:33 this is what a teacher
00:32:38 does yeah confirming their faith
00:32:41 exhorting them with longsuffering and
00:32:42 much travail to keep the Commandments of
00:32:45 God this is what a true teacher will do
00:32:48 these are the teachers that you need
00:32:50 these are the kinds of teachers that you
00:32:52 need to feed your spiritual life not the
00:32:56 ones that just tell you everything
00:32:57 everything’s okay whatever you feel like
00:32:59 right not the one not the ones who teach
00:33:02 you to do as thou
00:33:03 wil what about the ones that tell you to
00:33:05 get false
00:33:06 Revelations the ones the ones that tell
00:33:09 you that knowledge is more important
00:33:11 than
00:33:12 uh look man just go with the
00:33:16 heart oh wait wait wait what does the
00:33:18 scripture say about the heart oh yeah
00:33:22 it’s heart is a liar the heart is wicked
00:33:25 yeah it’s treacherous yeah but you
00:33:27 should you should just follow your heart
00:33:29 man the heart will never you want to
00:33:31 follow treacherous ways I mean I I guess
00:33:34 you’ll get your reward right oh yeah oh
00:33:38 you will yeah yeah might not be happy
00:33:41 about it but you’ll get your reward oh
00:33:43 no you won’t because you’ll be nashing
00:33:45 and and there will be weeping and
00:33:46 wailing and nashing nashing and wailing
00:33:48 of your teeth right yeah and I’m and I’m
00:33:51 pretty sure that
00:33:53 uh I’m I’m prettyy sure that there’s
00:33:57 that not all the Weeping and wailing and
00:33:58 nashing of teeth is going to be by those
00:34:00 who who have received
00:34:03 punishment yeah I’m I I myself know more
00:34:08 than a few people who I will be who
00:34:11 right now
00:34:12 I’m right now I hope they repent and
00:34:16 they
00:34:17 return can I just make a quick comment
00:34:19 and then I have to go but yeah I’ll be
00:34:22 quick so a good example of longsuffering
00:34:25 and travail and when you’re teaching was
00:34:28 my conversation with my son today on the
00:34:30 phone the one who’s in prison where he
00:34:33 just thinks that climate change is so
00:34:36 real and all the things they want to do
00:34:39 with digital identity and digital
00:34:42 currency and smart cities and all these
00:34:45 things are such a good thing and I said
00:34:48 David I believe that a lot of what’s
00:34:50 happening in the world with the fires
00:34:52 and the earthquakes and the other bad
00:34:54 things are happening are God’s judgment
00:34:57 because the wickedness in the world is
00:34:59 becoming so rampant and he just thinks
00:35:02 I’m completely nuts and got so
00:35:05 frustrated with me and didn’t even want
00:35:07 to finish the conversation
00:35:09 right he thinks his mom is just cuckoo
00:35:12 right and but we but we have to be
00:35:16 longsuffering and we have to have the
00:35:18 charity we have to continue to keep the
00:35:21 Torah and and I think th those first few
00:35:24 scriptures we were reading are
00:35:27 a perfect description of what we’re
00:35:29 supposed to be like if we want to be
00:35:31 like our heavenly father and our savior
00:35:33 so and it’s not always easy it’s
00:35:37 not not always easy yeah it’s hardly
00:35:42 ever easy yeah and they treat you like
00:35:45 you’re crazy and you’re nuts and you’re
00:35:47 you know or but anyway so um no I think
00:35:51 that’s good to point out Debbie because
00:35:54 if we continue in being longsuffering
00:35:58 um some
00:35:59 people a few of them will change and see
00:36:04 wisdom of what we’re saying and we need
00:36:06 to do it and we need to do it for Yahweh
00:36:09 and for those few who will listen okay
00:36:13 yes and I’m hoping my children will be
00:36:14 among those but they definitely I mean
00:36:17 if I get angry back or something but no
00:36:19 I have to be patient and kind and loving
00:36:22 and longsuffering and all those things
00:36:24 and yes there’s some travail and olved
00:36:29 but yeah that’s for sure to just
00:36:32 continue so I really needed this lesson
00:36:35 tonight thank you Benjamin yeah well I I
00:36:38 hope you’ve drawn I hope you’ve drawn
00:36:40 some strength um the the the thing is is
00:36:44 the rest of this lesson will be recorded
00:36:46 so you will be able to you will be able
00:36:49 to have it to share with other people
00:36:53 who may need who who may also who may
00:36:56 need aake wake up call okay that for me
00:37:00 is the purpose of getting this out
00:37:02 here as in this form people need to wake
00:37:06 up and realize that if they wish to be
00:37:09 with the Lord that they need to walk in
00:37:12 his mind and will and which is given to
00:37:15 us in Torah a lot of people don’t
00:37:18 understand that they I mean my boyfriend
00:37:20 is a good example well I just think if
00:37:22 you just try to be a good person it’s
00:37:24 all going to be okay right well well you
00:37:26 know that’s the thing is that you can
00:37:29 always then show him uh but here’s but
00:37:32 here’s here’s the thing right with that
00:37:35 with that
00:37:36 statement who says what good is
00:37:40 exactly does by yah well yes I I I
00:37:44 understand that but in the context
00:37:46 that’s being talked of here just try to
00:37:49 be a good person what does that mean the
00:37:51 what the world terms is good changes
00:37:54 from day to day exactly moment to moment
00:37:57 even yes exactly yeah exactly so well
00:38:02 thank you so much and hopefully I’ll see
00:38:05 everyone next
00:38:06 week well we hope we love seeing
00:38:12 you good night everyone thank
00:38:17 you okay I still only have a few moments
00:38:21 left so so let’s so let’s kind of get
00:38:25 into the next one a little bit okay y so
00:38:31 the next one charity suffered long and
00:38:33 is kind
00:38:36 kindness Psalm
00:38:38 31:21 Zack you want to read
00:38:44 that
00:38:48 yeah bless be Yahweh where he has shown
00:38:52 me His Marvelous kindness in a in a
00:38:55 strong City
00:38:57 yes you know one thing I I
00:39:01 always when when people at at work or
00:39:05 wherever out in the world say oh you’re
00:39:07 really nice I’m like don’t say that to
00:39:09 me don’t don’t tell me I’m nice I don’t
00:39:12 want to be
00:39:14 nice I want to be
00:39:16 kind I want to be known as a kind person
00:39:19 I don’t want to be known as a nice
00:39:20 person because nice is the world’s
00:39:24 counterfeit for kindness yeah well
00:39:27 here’s an interesting thing what aspect
00:39:30 of kindness is being shown in this
00:39:34 verse well um one thing that I wonder
00:39:39 and maybe it’s not the right time but I
00:39:42 what’s the technical differences this is
00:39:45 where we get to the dictionary between
00:39:47 kindness and
00:39:50 nice because in my mind I tend to think
00:39:54 it they’re the same but uh what Josh is
00:39:56 bringing out they’re they’re not so it
00:39:58 might be good to look at that right okay
00:40:00 well let’s take a look Let’s Take a Look
00:40:02 in relation to what’s actually being
00:40:05 said
00:40:08 so uh oh
00:40:13 dear let’s see
00:40:16 B kindness is Simply Good Will
00:40:21 benevolence that temper or disposition
00:40:23 which Delights in contributing to the
00:40:25 happiness of others which is exercise
00:40:27 cheerfully in gratifying their wishes
00:40:29 supplying their wants or alleviating
00:40:31 their distresses benignity of nature
00:40:34 kindness never kindness ever accompanies
00:40:37 love so according to this kindness is
00:40:42 that which Delights in contributing to
00:40:44 the happiness of others there is no man
00:40:46 whose kindness we may not sometime want
00:40:49 or by whose malice we may not sometimes
00:40:51 Suffer Well I think one thing I would
00:40:54 say is that a key thing for me is
00:40:56 kindness is attached to love yes it
00:41:01 always always accompanies love let’s now
00:41:05 let’s look up
00:41:06 nice or niceness
00:41:10 even a delicacy of perception quality of
00:41:13 perceiving small differences niess of
00:41:15 taste extreme delicacy excess of
00:41:18 scrupulousness or ex or
00:41:21 exactness uh huge difference
00:41:25 accuracy my new exactness I it or let’s
00:41:28 take a look at nice one one thing I’m
00:41:31 seeing right now nice is an outward
00:41:34 appearance yes where kindness is where
00:41:37 they can sense the love right rightness
00:41:41 always tell
00:41:42 [Music]
00:41:44 people I don’t want to be known as a
00:41:46 nice guy I’m not a nice guy sure
00:41:49 sure nice is that superficial I want to
00:41:53 look good kind is that you love
00:41:56 now let’s that is that is that is
00:41:59 correct now let’s uh let’s swing back
00:42:01 right to my question what aspect of
00:42:03 kindness is being shown he showed me his
00:42:06 kindness His Marvelous kindness in a
00:42:08 strong City what aspect of kindness is
00:42:11 being shown here so I I I think well
00:42:13 first of all let’s just def find a
00:42:15 strong city um just we’d have to go read
00:42:18 the whole go look at the that chapter
00:42:22 but I’m inclined to think that a strong
00:42:25 city is a means city
00:42:28 right let’s take a look okay like a
00:42:30 rough City like a yeah rough
00:42:34 yeah let’s take a
00:42:37 look that’s
00:42:45 Psalms and that is which one 3121 okay
00:42:52 3121 yep
00:42:55 3121
00:42:59 numbers
00:43:06 31 keep going down there you
00:43:09 go there it
00:43:12 is okay there we
00:43:15 are strong in a city his
00:43:19 kindness yes
00:43:21 Sean let’s go look at the Hebrew root
00:43:24 under strong
00:43:42 okay Siege enclosure Siege
00:43:46 entrenchment so the kindness is
00:43:49 Deliverance because that that strong
00:43:52 city is a besieged
00:43:54 city well so defense fortified
00:43:58 Fortress Rampart
00:44:01 seeds
00:44:03 entrenchments
00:44:06 yeah no let’s go look at some of the
00:44:10 verses look at some other
00:44:14 verses
00:44:17 let’s Okay where is the
00:44:20 main where I can actually get the
00:44:24 other what are you looking for
00:44:27 multi no I’m actually you want the
00:44:30 normal page yeah it’s the
00:44:34 multi
00:44:38 okay okay
00:44:42 so no that’s not gonna work that okay
00:44:46 well just hit the main page go Bible Hub
00:44:49 and just do Psalms 3121 again
00:44:54 yep you’re in Genesis
00:44:59 yeah that would take a while to scroll
00:45:02 down
00:45:06 that’s especially Psalms right oh my
00:45:09 goodness
00:45:10 [Music]
00:45:16 yeah well let’s take some take a look at
00:45:19 some verses around
00:45:22 3121 you hide them in the secret place
00:45:24 of your presence from the schemes of men
00:45:27 conceal them in your shelter from
00:45:29 accusing tongues blessed be the Lord for
00:45:32 he has shown me his loving devotion in a
00:45:35 city under siege in my so especially
00:45:38 looking at really talking
00:45:40 about uh verse 20 it this is like a
00:45:45 around mean people
00:45:47 right tongues that’s like Satan people
00:45:51 because Satan is the the accuser it’s
00:45:55 always always looking at a way to uh
00:45:58 show how you’re you’re wrong and you
00:46:01 you’re evil and here we and here we are
00:46:03 feel bad right and here we are in verse
00:46:05 22 in my alarm I said I am cut off from
00:46:09 your sight but you heard my plea for
00:46:11 Mercy when I called to you for help yeah
00:46:15 so this is that part I think is going
00:46:17 more along the lines how I’m a sinner
00:46:21 but you’re merciful unto me right which
00:46:24 goes along this is kind of like an ABAB
00:46:27 type of thing going on here right y um
00:46:31 so I I do think I my my initial guess
00:46:36 that the strong city is uh a city of
00:46:39 mean people
00:46:42 right so the and so the kindness that
00:46:46 we’re talking about it that kindness is
00:46:48 shown
00:46:50 in
00:46:51 Sheltering in in uh in providing comfort
00:46:55 for us and time
00:46:56 in times of
00:46:58 need right he provided shelter for the
00:47:01 strangers right
00:47:03 yeah and oftentimes y always kindness
00:47:07 and oftentimes we can be the instruments
00:47:10 for showing always always
00:47:13 kindness
00:47:16 people yeah and that’s actually that’s
00:47:19 actually the Commandment is that that’s
00:47:22 why we need to be kind yeah yeh is kind
00:47:28 um Psalm 117 verse two for his merciful
00:47:33 kindness is great toward us merciful
00:47:36 kindness this is his forgiveness this is
00:47:38 his atonement and the truth of the Lord
00:47:41 endureth forever praise ye the Lord the
00:47:44 truth of the Lord por endureth forever
00:47:47 praise ye the Lord yeah this is like
00:47:50 endure to the end right do what is right
00:47:54 awesome the way that verse is
00:47:57 formulated
00:48:00 because it puts the ends and then the
00:48:03 means to the ends in the same short
00:48:06 verse right yes merciful kindness
00:48:10 towards us the
00:48:12 atonement correct and thens and then the
00:48:16 means by which we stay within the
00:48:18 atonement which is the Torah you keep
00:48:21 Torah you stay within the atonement you
00:48:24 stay within the law
00:48:26 and it endureth forever and and
00:48:29 therefore you are no longer under the
00:48:31 curse of the law but you now live in the
00:48:34 spirit the law in the and so to go along
00:48:38 with that this verse has an
00:48:41 ABAB and both bees have to do with the
00:48:44 truth and
00:48:46 Torah they’re praising Yahweh for his
00:48:49 Tor to help us resolve these issues
00:48:54 right and here we go just that’s
00:48:57 beautiful that’s that’s like some of the
00:48:59 most beautiful writing like ever written
00:49:02 yeah in my opinion yeah I they it’s been
00:49:06 attributed to our ancestors by the way
00:49:09 yes I know Psalm
00:49:13 119 but it’s some of the most beautiful
00:49:15 writing ever written I mean it really is
00:49:18 Psalm
00:49:19 11976 Matt do you want to read
00:49:21 that let I pray thee thy merciful
00:49:24 kindness be for my comfort according to
00:49:27 Thy word unto thy
00:49:29 servant so similarly as yeh shows us as
00:49:36 uh Yahweh as Yeshua extends Mercy to us
00:49:40 we need to show merciful kindness
00:49:42 towards those who are in need and let
00:49:45 not their petition come up to us in
00:49:48 vain and not only that in the same way
00:49:51 that in the same way that our mer our
00:49:55 our petition it does not come up to yway
00:49:58 in vain should we repent Zach you wanted
00:50:04 to know how
00:50:06 one gives Mighty
00:50:09 prayer yeah read Psalm
00:50:13 [Music]
00:50:19 119 and that is the perfect
00:50:24 example
00:50:26 of Mighty
00:50:27 prayer it’s also perfect example of a
00:50:30 chos exactly but anyway uh yeah it’s a
00:50:35 kism with lots of subm right but
00:50:40 exactly
00:50:42 uh Psalm
00:50:44 1415 uh Kelsey you want to read that for
00:50:51 me okay let’s see
00:50:54 here okay
00:50:59 sorry I have my dog jumping in my face
00:51:00 just
00:51:03 singing dog needs love too right yeah he
00:51:07 definitely
00:51:09 does let the righteous smite me it shall
00:51:13 be a kindness and let him reprove me it
00:51:16 shall be an excellent oil which shall
00:51:19 not break my head for yet my prayer also
00:51:22 shall be in their calamities and that
00:51:26 actually reminds me of a verse in
00:51:29 Leviticus
00:51:32 19 uh right so one thing maybe just
00:51:35 while you’re getting that up is it’s
00:51:38 saying uh reproofs are kind and it as in
00:51:44 takes love as we talked about earlier
00:51:47 from the dictionary
00:51:48 right it takes really loving someone to
00:51:52 help them come to the right way versus
00:51:55 is letting them stay in the wrong way
00:52:00 right that actually takes a lot of
00:52:03 love yeah because uh sometimes you’ll
00:52:06 get a lot of disrespect that you really
00:52:08 have to love someone to be willing to
00:52:10 put up with that disrespect right here
00:52:13 you are in Deuteronomy uh or in
00:52:16 Leviticus
00:52:18 1917 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in
00:52:21 thine heart Thou shalt in any wise
00:52:24 rebuke Thy Neighbor and not suffer in
00:52:27 not suffer sin but upon him if we do if
00:52:30 we see that our neighbor is sinning and
00:52:31 we don’t say anything to spare their
00:52:33 feelings we hate
00:52:36 them and we need to repent because we’re
00:52:39 not worried about the their Eternal
00:52:42 salvation
00:52:44 right we do not have that love in us if
00:52:47 we do not if we don’t do not rebuke our
00:52:50 neighbor or our
00:52:52 brother
00:52:54 whoever if we do not rebuke the person
00:52:56 in sin we do not love them so it is a
00:53:01 real friend that will talk to you and
00:53:03 let you know you’re doing something
00:53:05 wrong then let you continue in the way
00:53:07 right right right um so even
00:53:11 Society that’s a kindness if you think
00:53:13 about it that is a kindness correct yeah
00:53:17 so in a sense Society knows this because
00:53:21 they do it on other aspects when it
00:53:23 comes to yahweh’s
00:53:26 they think it’s oh it’s forbidden to do
00:53:27 it there but they’ll do it on other
00:53:29 things
00:53:31 yeah so this is so this gets into what
00:53:35 it me this gets into part of the
00:53:37 Practical level of kindness that we
00:53:39 don’t think of as
00:53:42 kindness but that is actually one of the
00:53:44 greatest kindnesses that we can actually
00:53:46 render to our brothers and sisters which
00:53:48 is to let them know that they need to
00:53:54 repent
00:53:55 yeah but sadly most of them take it
00:54:00 harshly yes yes well the
00:54:04 the it’s
00:54:07 because it it stings right the guilt
00:54:09 stings and people don’t like hurting and
00:54:12 so they and so when they’re guilty and
00:54:14 they know they’re guilty but they don’t
00:54:15 want to give up what it is they’re
00:54:17 feeling guilty about then yes you get
00:54:20 that angry
00:54:21 reaction yep yeah it’s their pride
00:54:24 coming to play trying to make it look
00:54:26 like they did nothing wrong it’s not my
00:54:28 fault it’s your fault yeah okay so that
00:54:32 is kind that is charity is kindness
00:54:35 charity envieth not now the Commandment
00:54:38 Sor I’m sorry before we get any further
00:54:40 I just I have to go um okay but this has
00:54:45 been awesome and I’m definitely gonna
00:54:47 watch the uh the uh video when it comes
00:54:52 out and all that good stuff so
00:54:55 shabbat shalom everyone shabbat
00:55:01 shalom
00:55:03 so the Commandment behind charity
00:55:06 envieth not is pretty
00:55:09 self-evident let’s go to Exodus chapter
00:55:12 20 verse
00:55:14 17 I happen to have I happen to have it
00:55:17 here uh you mean that’s one of the like
00:55:20 pretty simple Ten Commandments maybe
00:55:23 yeah it’s it’s actually not hard to
00:55:25 figure out how this how how this uh
00:55:28 attribute of Charity is actually
00:55:31 commanded in
00:55:34 for uh that one’s pretty simple yeah so
00:55:38 uh Christie do you want to read Exodus
00:55:40 2017
00:55:42 there sure I will do
00:55:48 that exus
00:55:50 2017 it’s the highlighted one if you can
00:55:53 see the screen oh yeah my my eyes went
00:55:57 away from the highlighted one okay um
00:56:01 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s
00:56:03 house Thou shalt not covet thy
00:56:05 neighbor’s wife nor his man servant nor
00:56:08 his maid servant nor his Ox nor his ass
00:56:10 nor anything that is thy neighbors so I
00:56:14 think with a woman reading it we need to
00:56:16 add thy neighbor’s husband right but
00:56:20 anyways yes so yeah this one’s really
00:56:25 simple envieth not don’t
00:56:31 CET oh wait a minute perhaps all the
00:56:34 other Ten Commandments are also implied
00:56:37 in this description of Charity let’s go
00:56:40 on to see vth not
00:56:44 itself okay I thought it might be useful
00:56:47 to go into the dictionary definition for
00:56:49 the word VA and to VA is to boast to
00:56:55 make a vain display of One’s Own Worth
00:56:57 attainments or decorations talk with
00:56:59 vain ostentation or to
00:57:02 brag Pride prompts him an to VA and
00:57:05 overvalue what he is it’s also to boast
00:57:08 of or to make a vain display of uh my
00:57:11 vanquisher spoiled of his vaed spoil
00:57:13 charity bth not itself to make a boast a
00:57:16 boast or vain display of itself uh vain
00:57:19 display of what one is or has or does
00:57:22 ostentation from vanity
00:57:25 so there we so those are the definitions
00:57:29 of the word want it makes it pretty
00:57:31 clear that what we’re talking about here
00:57:33 is uh Pride some we’re commanded not to
00:57:38 have the we’re commanded not to have
00:57:40 pride that we’re not uh and and we’re
00:57:43 not to boast of
00:57:47 ourselves right that goes along with the
00:57:49 coveting because if you you’re prideful
00:57:51 you think you deserve what other people
00:57:54 have worked for for themselves right
00:57:57 yep they
00:57:59 go do you mean that these you mean these
00:58:02 attributes actually all go together um I
00:58:05 think so absolutely what do I know yeah
00:58:09 so Psalm
00:58:11 103 uh let’s see Zack have you read
00:58:17 recently well little bit go okay go
00:58:21 ahead read Psalm
00:58:23 103 for the wicked boasteth in his
00:58:26 heart’s desire and bless the
00:58:31 blesseth the
00:58:33 covus whom the Lord up horth interesting
00:58:36 how this verse in Psalm actually talks
00:58:39 about what Stephen and I were talking
00:58:41 about how they’re all
00:58:42 interconnected all these descript all
00:58:44 these all these things Pride boasting uh
00:58:48 covetousness they’re all connected and
00:58:51 uh they’re and uh they’re not any
00:58:55 they’re all commanded
00:58:57 against uh and they not one of
00:59:01 them is uh not one of them is uh a part
00:59:07 of God’s character right in fact it it
00:59:10 even here in Psalms 103 it states Yahweh
00:59:14 abhor abh whth these things right yes
00:59:18 whom the whom Yahweh uph
00:59:21 horth the Covetous whom Yahweh uph horth
00:59:26 so yeah so what okay Stephen you want to
00:59:29 read Psalm 521 for me yeah uh why
00:59:33 boasted thou thyself in Mischief as an
00:59:37 evildoing oh mighty man you think you
00:59:41 are the goodness of Elohim endureth
00:59:44 continually you can trust in him and to
00:59:48 do his
00:59:49 ways right so this is the so you know is
00:59:56 also this also goes in line with MOS
01:00:00 with
01:00:01 uh uh with Moses chapter one where he
01:00:03 talks about surely I know that man is
01:00:06 nothing which NE which thing I had never
01:00:08 before
01:00:09 supposed why boast thou of thyself in
01:00:15 mischief and so because Egypt was the
01:00:19 Pinnacle of society in his day right yep
01:00:27 absolutely Psalm
01:00:31 977 I’ll read that confounded be all
01:00:34 they that serve graven images that boast
01:00:37 themselves of Idols worship him all ye
01:00:42 gods so this is
01:00:47 a those who worship after the manner of
01:00:51 the amorites in whose Land We dwell
01:00:55 will be
01:00:57 confounded and all will be made to bend
01:01:00 the knee before yel right and and and I
01:01:04 think we need to make clear that Idols
01:01:06 are not just graven images right they’re
01:01:10 anything that we put before Yahweh
01:01:13 Elohim right and it’s also the Rel and
01:01:17 it’s also false religious practice the
01:01:19 boasting yourself of an idol it’s like
01:01:21 oh yes I’m a I’m a it’s all it could be
01:01:24 your religious affiliation oh I’m a
01:01:27 member of the church I’m good I’m a
01:01:30 member of the Church of Jesus Christ
01:01:31 latterday Saints I’m good yeah yeah I’m
01:01:33 saved or I remember on my mission right
01:01:36 I’m Catholic I’m
01:01:38 good right right where they’re they’re
01:01:42 they’re putting the church over the
01:01:44 relationship that you have with Yahweh
01:01:47 Elohim so this is so this is the thing
01:01:51 and that that is what is defined of his
01:01:54 book that is what can be defined in the
01:01:56 modern times as boasting yourself of
01:01:58 Idols so we need to we need to put those
01:02:02 things away from us and focus on
01:02:04 worshiping Yahweh as he has prescribed
01:02:07 in his
01:02:11 word instead of boast so that we so that
01:02:15 we can uh like Ammon boast in our God
01:02:20 not in our own
01:02:23 righteousness
01:02:29 Proverbs
01:02:30 271 uh let’s see
01:02:37 Kelsey all right I’m on it let’s see
01:02:42 boast not thyself of tomorrow for thou
01:02:45 knowest not what a day may bring
01:02:50 forth so this is all all against
01:02:53 boasting
01:02:55 uh we we are commanded not to
01:02:57 boast well think part of what this
01:03:00 brings out is you might be rich today
01:03:03 but you might not be rich tomorrow
01:03:05 exactly so don’t boast of you’re don’t
01:03:09 don’t make yourself out to be that
01:03:12 you’re this rich person because you
01:03:14 might not be rich tomorrow right that’s
01:03:17 right so we are so and and really it’s a
01:03:21 very and that is very po very potent
01:03:24 instruction you know it’s all it goes
01:03:27 hand inand with what Yeshua himself said
01:03:29 while he was alive when he said
01:03:32 uh sufficient is the day to the evil
01:03:36 thereof it’s on the flip side of that
01:03:39 same
01:03:41 instruction for people will that people
01:03:45 will uh people people expect their Good
01:03:48 Fortune to continue forever but the Lord
01:03:51 causes the sun to shine and the rain to
01:03:52 fall on the just and the unjust Al
01:03:55 like yeah yeah and so I’m just going to
01:03:58 interject a little bit but I I know
01:04:01 there’s a lot of religious people but
01:04:04 like to claim that they’re being
01:04:06 righteous simply because they’re being
01:04:08 blessed so that’s proof that what
01:04:11 they’re doing is Right despite the fact
01:04:13 it’s going into within the scriptures
01:04:16 but in the sermon of the mount it states
01:04:19 that Yahweh blesses the wicked so just
01:04:24 because you get a blessing doesn’t mean
01:04:25 you’re being
01:04:27 righteous it means that God that God’s
01:04:31 calling out to you in love
01:04:33 today and that it could be an anger
01:04:36 tomorrow right right but it’s no proof
01:04:39 of your righteousness absolutely what
01:04:41 I’m getting out right
01:04:44 absolutely let’s
01:04:46 see so charity and charity envieth not
01:04:50 charity fth not itself is not of
01:04:55 up and when I think about puffed up I
01:04:59 think about uh puffed rice
01:05:03 actually becomes larger than it
01:05:05 is filled with hot air and
01:05:10 pride is filled with hot air now the uh
01:05:14 and similarly we get filled with hot air
01:05:17 when we are
01:05:18 proud sometimes you get filled with hot
01:05:20 air just because of the love of the Lord
01:05:22 within us
01:05:24 but many of most of the time a lot most
01:05:27 of the time when we’re full of hot air a
01:05:30 lot of a lot of times it’s because we’re
01:05:32 proud and uh we uh we think we’re
01:05:37 thinking perhaps a little too much of
01:05:39 ourselves so charity is not puffed
01:05:43 up a commandment the Commandment against
01:05:47 pride is found the Commandment against
01:05:49 pride is found in uh Torah is extended
01:05:53 Into the Book of Mormon
01:05:55 we find it also in the book of
01:05:57 Mor uh Christie you want to read
01:05:59 Leviticus
01:06:03 26:19
01:06:06 yes and I will break the pride of your
01:06:08 power and I will make your Heaven as
01:06:11 iron and your Earth as
01:06:15 brass so here but one thing I think we
01:06:19 ought to bring out is how it says I’m
01:06:21 going to break up your pride y
01:06:24 as in I’m going to show your pride is
01:06:29 worthless right
01:06:35 yep exactly and that and if pride and
01:06:40 that and that and that pride is that
01:06:43 kind of pride is outside of the
01:06:44 character of Elohim therefore it is
01:06:46 worthless and will do us no good it will
01:06:48 serve us no good in the law
01:06:50 mind all right hence he’s going to break
01:06:53 it he’s going to get rid of it right
01:06:55 show it’s worthless that it when we it’s
01:06:58 not strong in the long run even if you
01:07:01 think you might you’re might be strong
01:07:03 now but it’s actually weakness compared
01:07:06 to yahweh’s ways well and the whole
01:07:08 thing is is that um what Yahweh promises
01:07:11 us when we come onto him is that he will
01:07:13 show us our weakness yes y ether 12
01:07:19 right ether 12 27 that he will show us
01:07:22 our weakness and he gives us weakness
01:07:25 that we may be humble so when we see
01:07:28 that weakness when we when our pride is
01:07:34 broken then we need to continue to press
01:07:36 forward in
01:07:40 faith then he can make weakness
01:07:44 strength he can take the old
01:07:48 man the old men’s carnal men’s the dead
01:07:52 men’s and give him
01:07:57 life yep dead because of sin right yep
01:08:02 in life because of yeshua’s atonement
01:08:04 when we come under his covering that is
01:08:07 correct that which which Covenant is
01:08:09 defined by
01:08:11 Torah yeah the fear of the Lord is to
01:08:15 hate evil pride and arrogancy and the
01:08:19 evil way interesting how pride and
01:08:21 arrogancy and the evil way while they’re
01:08:23 set listed separately that’s all in the
01:08:25 same thing of
01:08:29 evil and the forward mouth do I
01:08:33 hate no I I do want to bring out he
01:08:36 hates these things he just does not like
01:08:39 them he hates them so I so that is
01:08:44 definite it’s not a stretch to to
01:08:47 consider that a
01:08:49 commandment not to be proud not to be
01:08:53 arrogant
01:08:54 not to go in the evil
01:08:56 way
01:08:58 or to think we know better than God and
01:09:01 speak and so speak to speak against God
01:09:06 that’s the forward mouth to speak
01:09:08 against God in his
01:09:11 ways
01:09:17 yeah okay
01:09:20 Matt second epi 28:15
01:09:24 let me get that get rid of the just hit
01:09:26 Escape there you go okay no no you don’t
01:09:28 have to highlight
01:09:31 don’t all the wise and the learned and
01:09:34 the rich that are puffed up in the pride
01:09:36 of their hearts and all those who preach
01:09:38 false doctrines and All Those who commit
01:09:40 whoredoms and pervert the right way of
01:09:42 the Lord woe wo woe be unto them sayith
01:09:47 the Lord God Almighty for they shall be
01:09:50 thrust down to Hell the proud
01:09:54 those who teach false doctrines Those
01:09:56 who commit whoredoms they’re all lumped
01:10:01 together and it’s clear that Those who
01:10:05 commit whoredoms have broken a
01:10:07 commandment but those who preach false
01:10:10 doctrines have broken a
01:10:11 commandment therefore those who are
01:10:13 puffed up puffed up in the pride of
01:10:15 their hearts have broken a commandment
01:10:17 there to not be proud is a
01:10:21 commandment right and in here
01:10:24 it’s listing uh three things that are
01:10:26 very common that causes Pride right yep
01:10:31 wisdom knowledge or learned like Greek
01:10:34 knowledge right and riches th those are
01:10:38 three very common things that make
01:10:40 people
01:10:41 proudful or puffed up right so yeah and
01:10:46 and
01:10:49 that and you
01:10:51 know I think there’s not a one of us
01:10:54 that’s susceptible to that’s not
01:10:56 susceptible to this temptation
01:10:58 especially when we’ve taken the effort
01:11:00 to learn a lot of things about something
01:11:02 to learn a lot about something to we’re
01:11:06 how many of us
01:11:07 are it’s tempting to each one of us I
01:11:10 think to get puffed up in the pride of
01:11:11 our hearts and our knowledge yeah right
01:11:13 right when we’re learning it it’s it’s
01:11:16 it’s a tricky thing to still be opening
01:11:19 open to um listening to arguments versus
01:11:23 thinking I I know it all right now
01:11:27 especially on the religious or or or on
01:11:29 the aspect of Yahweh there’s a
01:11:31 difference between um listening to
01:11:34 someone’s false Revelation and versus
01:11:38 listening to someone who can bring it
01:11:39 out from the scriptures can someone just
01:11:42 with an
01:11:43 opinion uh for someone who knows the
01:11:45 scriptures that may not mean much and
01:11:47 that I can understand that but if they
01:11:49 can bring it out from the
01:11:51 scriptures uh we need to still uh at
01:11:54 least consider it right yes the the the
01:11:57 main yeah the uh if somebody can break
01:12:01 it that’s always for that’s always been
01:12:03 for me uh one of the uh it’s become for
01:12:07 me one of the chief things uh in
01:12:10 determining whether or not somebody is
01:12:13 blowing smoke up my blowing smoke up my
01:12:17 bum uh and that is can they show me in
01:12:21 scripture why I should take what they’re
01:12:23 saying
01:12:24 seriously um and so that’s
01:12:28 uh it’s a real it’s a I think it’s a
01:12:31 really important thing okay doth not
01:12:34 behave itself
01:12:36 unseemly now
01:12:38 unseemly
01:12:40 means behavior that is not fit or
01:12:42 becoming behaving oneself unseemly is
01:12:44 behaving in ways that are not fit or
01:12:46 becoming uh uncomely I’m becoming
01:12:50 indecent oh don’t we have Ten
01:12:52 Commandments that tell us how not to
01:12:55 behave
01:12:57 [Music]
01:12:58 unseemly and so I don’t think I’m going
01:13:01 to make everybody read all Ten
01:13:02 Commandments they I think you’re pretty
01:13:04 well aware of what they
01:13:05 are but they’re
01:13:08 here especi and you know so these Ten
01:13:14 Commandments were given to us to show us
01:13:17 how we can love God and love our fellow
01:13:21 men and so
01:13:24 and thus behave in ways that are SE that
01:13:28 are
01:13:29 decent that are
01:13:32 comely a good
01:13:35 report
01:13:37 praiseworthy these are the things that
01:13:39 we should seek
01:13:44 after so that sounds like uh one of the
01:13:48 I forget which one but uh articles of
01:13:50 Faith which is kind of quoting Paul
01:13:53 right
01:13:54 y after all things of good repute I
01:13:58 don’t know it’s been a while since I’ve
01:14:00 hady indeed we may say that we follow
01:14:03 the admonition of Paul We believe all
01:14:06 things we hope all things we have
01:14:08 endured many things we hope to be able
01:14:10 to endure all things if there be
01:14:12 anything
01:14:13 virtuous there be anything uh virtuous
01:14:17 or good report maybe virtuous lovely of
01:14:20 good report or praiseworthy we seek
01:14:23 after these
01:14:24 things
01:14:26 but you know you know just because it
01:14:29 did come from the church doesn’t mean
01:14:30 that it’s
01:14:33 absolutely it was penned by a prophet of
01:14:37 God right um that didn’t come from the
01:14:40 Elli church that came from Joseph Smith
01:14:42 but which he was basically quoting uh
01:14:45 Paul right
01:14:47 right and also and so to go go into that
01:14:51 we’re gonna I want to go into Romans 7
01:14:55 because this is how this actually goes
01:14:58 into that relationship between the law
01:15:01 and defining what is seamly and
01:15:04 unseemly Romans chapter 7: 10-16 read
01:15:08 now let’s
01:15:10 see Zach you want to read that for
01:15:13 us
01:15:18 Y and the Commandment which was ordained
01:15:21 to life I found I found to be unto death
01:15:26 or sin taken occasioned by the
01:15:29 Commandment deceived
01:15:31 me and by it slew
01:15:34 me what for the liest
01:15:36 holy and the Commandment holy and just
01:15:40 in
01:15:41 good was then that which is good made
01:15:45 death unto
01:15:47 me God forbid but sin that it might
01:15:52 appear sin working death in Me by that
01:15:56 which is good that sin by the
01:16:00 Commandment might
01:16:01 become exceeding
01:16:04 sin but we know that the law is
01:16:07 spiritual but I am carnal sold under
01:16:11 sin for that which I do I allow not for
01:16:18 what for what I would that I do not do I
01:16:22 not but what I but what I hate that I
01:16:26 do if then I do that which I would not I
01:16:30 can I consent unto the law that would it
01:16:33 is good so he States He States twice
01:16:36 here that the law is
01:16:39 good but the
01:16:42 law shows us our
01:16:45 sin it shows us what how we need to
01:16:49 repent it shows us what we need to
01:16:51 correct right yeah it shows us what we
01:16:53 need to correct the law is
01:16:56 spiritual
01:16:57 we when we are when we’re when we’re not
01:17:01 living on when we’re not living in the
01:17:03 law are
01:17:05 carnal we are of the Dust We Are of the
01:17:08 Dust of the Earth
01:17:10 but the interesting thing is is that
01:17:12 Yahweh
01:17:14 yeh breathed the ru into the
01:17:18 dust the Commandment is
01:17:22 thees
01:17:24 so one thing I I think I’ll add real
01:17:26 quick that I think will help um
01:17:28 illuminate Ben’s statement there is that
01:17:32 Satan’s domain is the
01:17:35 dust and we all have sinned and for
01:17:39 those who will listen to Yahweh he will
01:17:41 take us out of Satan’s domain into his
01:17:45 domain that is correct AKA taking us out
01:17:48 of the Dust right because that
01:17:51 is and and breathing into us the life of
01:17:54 the spirit
01:18:02 thees you know the interesting thing is
01:18:04 the word
01:18:05 r is both breath spirit and wind it’s
01:18:11 all
01:18:13 three so when God breathed into Adam’s
01:18:17 nostrils the breath of
01:18:19 life he gave him a
01:18:26 his life was brought
01:18:30 in yeah and as we talked about earlier
01:18:33 the NOS has to do with trusting right
01:18:37 and how do you know that you can trust
01:18:39 someone is because of the
01:18:41 behavior or the law that they keep right
01:18:45 correct are are do they have a double
01:18:48 standard or do they have the same
01:18:51 standard law
01:18:53 for themselves as they do for other
01:18:55 people and that’s when you can know you
01:18:57 can really trust them or not right yep
01:19:00 that’s it that’s
01:19:03 it so that so this
01:19:09 is so that so that’s for that part of
01:19:12 Charity behave itself itself not
01:19:14 unseemly but behaves with but live but
01:19:17 lives by the holy Behavior as shown Us
01:19:19 in the Ten Commandments and in the other
01:19:21 Commandments of Torah
01:19:23 uh which uh which are which were
01:19:27 commanded even to the Gentiles in uh
01:19:30 Acts chapter
01:19:31 15 that uh they observe kosher kosher
01:19:36 law and not worship after the amorites
01:19:38 after the manner of the amorites in
01:19:40 whose land they
01:19:42 dwell
01:19:44 y
01:19:47 so and so that is the
01:19:51 uh so that that is so so that is what it
01:19:55 means to not behave unseemly it’s to
01:19:57 take upon ourselves the to take upon
01:20:01 ourselves the behavior of little
01:20:05 people and to walk in a newness in
01:20:10 spirit seeketh not her
01:20:15 own uh let’s
01:20:21 uh this is Numbers Chapter
01:20:24 15:39 I do believe there was a
01:20:28 uh you have uh you have that you have
01:20:32 that I can give you the link yeah shoot
01:20:36 me the link in the chat yeah I’ll call
01:20:39 it up so that way we can just see it in
01:20:41 a kmic form because we we both have
01:20:44 grown to like that right yep okay click
01:20:49 on
01:20:51 that
01:20:55 Okay click on
01:20:56 that there we
01:21:01 go down to the place you do contr F that
01:21:05 might be quicker or there it is right
01:21:07 there all right so here we are numbers
01:21:10 15 37-41 this is actually the uh word of
01:21:14 the Lord to the children of Israel
01:21:16 regarding a certain clothing item that
01:21:18 they were to wear it’s called seat
01:21:21 seats
01:21:23 I’ll just show you mine so yeah they are
01:21:27 tassels worn on the four corners of your
01:21:29 clothing of your of your
01:21:33 garments so I I don’t here let’s see if
01:21:37 we can there you can there you can see
01:21:40 it right
01:21:43 yeah and so this this goes into why it
01:21:47 is that they were supposed to wear them
01:21:50 and so we we’ll just uh we’ll just read
01:21:53 through these verses here and you’ll see
01:21:57 the importance of in relation between
01:22:00 the
01:22:01 zits and not seeking after your
01:22:05 own and the Lord and Yahweh spake unto
01:22:09 Moses saying Speak unto the children of
01:22:12 Israel and bid them that they make that
01:22:15 they make them fringes or in the border
01:22:19 of their garments throughout their
01:22:21 Generations throughout their
01:22:23 Generations I will repeat that again
01:22:25 throughout their Generations this means
01:22:27 that we that we are still supposed to be
01:22:29 doing this today should we wish to be
01:22:32 considered Israel and under the Covenant
01:22:35 and that they put and also just to go
01:22:37 with that um I I don’t know if you want
01:22:39 to look at the dictionary definition of
01:22:41 generations right now or not but one of
01:22:44 the definitions is a family or a group
01:22:47 of people not
01:22:49 necessarily uh someone just born but a a
01:22:53 a group of family or of Believers right
01:22:57 yeah that that is also a
01:22:59 generation that they may put upon The
01:23:03 Fringe that that they and that they put
01:23:06 upon The Fringe or the seat seats of the
01:23:08 borders a ribbon or cord of blue now
01:23:11 Stevens cats have blue mine have blue um
01:23:16 and it shall be
01:23:18 on if you look closer enough if you can
01:23:20 see a strand of in there it’s a light
01:23:24 blue so you might not be able to see it
01:23:25 and I have small
01:23:27 ones um Ben made his out of yarn and so
01:23:31 they’re easier let me go let me go get
01:23:34 my
01:23:35 Z okay so let me pause wa I I can
01:23:43 use I show mine too yeah go yeah Al Zach
01:23:48 made them so I did a little class
01:23:51 helping people to tie them um I I I just
01:23:57 do a simple
01:23:59 four um braid so do a modification off
01:24:04 the carite tradition um anyways so you
01:24:08 can clearly see the blue in the seat
01:24:11 seat and you can see you can see it very
01:24:13 clearly nicely there in Zach’s as well
01:24:17 yeah so you can clearly see that yeah
01:24:19 the dark blue sticks out a lot more than
01:24:21 the light blue that I have yeah and I
01:24:25 think it also helps that your um strings
01:24:28 are thicker than mine it does I I think
01:24:32 that does help too so yeah uh okay one
01:24:38 thing I I just want to say and now if
01:24:40 you notice uh I’m injecting a little bit
01:24:43 but it’s it’s on on your at your hip
01:24:45 okay so a hips have to do with your
01:24:50 agency and the Commandment ments help
01:24:53 keep our agency in check just as the
01:24:58 tiits point to the Commandments as
01:25:00 you’ll we’ll see in just a minute as we
01:25:02 read a little more to help keep our
01:25:06 choices agency in check okay and that
01:25:10 they may put and that they put upon The
01:25:12 Fringe or seat seats of the borders a
01:25:16 ribbon or cord of blue and it shall be
01:25:20 to you for a fringe
01:25:23 in this
01:25:24 case or a string that you may look upon
01:25:28 it and remember all the Commandments or
01:25:32 law okay it’s not just some all all the
01:25:37 Commandments we don’t get to pick and
01:25:39 choose right it’s in fact at baptism we
01:25:42 Covenant to keep all of yahweh’s
01:25:45 Commandments not some of his
01:25:48 Commandments okay which is still
01:25:49 significantly less than the number of
01:25:51 rules and laws that we live by every day
01:25:53 under the law under the law of the land
01:25:56 yes that’s significantly Less in fact um
01:26:00 in in one sense it’s uh so go to the top
01:26:03 and go uh right click or double or
01:26:06 middle click Torah up on the menu it
01:26:10 it’s there’s two Commandments love
01:26:12 Yahweh and love your neighbor sits on
01:26:14 the far right um and all and the 10 on a
01:26:20 top there you go um and then these 10
01:26:25 are explaining how to do the
01:26:29 two
01:26:30 um and everything else is underneath the
01:26:33 10 so scroll
01:26:35 down just keep going I’ll tell you
01:26:39 when yeah keep
01:26:41 [Music]
01:26:45 going I like kaoms if you can’t
01:26:49 tell there we go right there so five
01:26:53 have to do with how to love those in
01:26:55 authority of us as in Elohim and our
01:26:58 parents uh and then another five have to
01:27:01 do with how we love our neighbors or our
01:27:04 peers
01:27:06 right and this is how Yahweh wants us to
01:27:09 love we don’t get to decide how we want
01:27:11 to love ourselves we do it his way that
01:27:15 is if we want to be his followers his
01:27:17 children right
01:27:20 right okay
01:27:29 okay so and remember all the
01:27:30 Commandments or law of Torah of the Lord
01:27:33 and do them that ye seek not after your
01:27:37 own heart and your own
01:27:40 eyes desires right they they are a
01:27:43 reminder that we are not to seek after
01:27:47 right right and and this goes on with
01:27:49 when
01:27:50 Eve saw the fruit she desire it she
01:27:54 desired it so eyes have to do with
01:27:56 desire okay after which he used go a
01:28:00 horing that you may remember desire and
01:28:04 do all of my Commandments and be holy
01:28:06 covered under y garment unto your God
01:28:10 Elohim unto your Elohim I Yahweh your
01:28:14 Elohim which brought you out of the land
01:28:16 of Egypt to be your Elohim I am y way
01:28:20 your Elohim now one thing I did want to
01:28:23 bring out how
01:28:25 Egypt uh is a border in fact the the
01:28:28 land of Israel borders Egypt and he took
01:28:31 them out of that and brought them into a
01:28:33 new border y um these toits remind us of
01:28:39 our fences they remind us protections
01:28:42 that if we go over we can go down the
01:28:45 cliff and die into hell right yep so
01:28:50 that is
01:28:52 so that is
01:28:57 that um that
01:29:00 is I think uh I think that’s actually
01:29:04 that’s pretty good on seeketh not her
01:29:06 own but
01:29:08 let’s what should we
01:29:11 see Deuteronomy
01:29:15 4:29 uh Christie I want to read
01:29:20 that yeah yes let me go back to the
01:29:23 screen here
01:29:28 okay I can’t
01:29:31 I okay there we
01:29:34 go but if from then shalt or okay but if
01:29:39 from then Thou shalt seek the Lord thy
01:29:42 God Thou shalt find him if thou seek him
01:29:45 with all thy heart and with all th Soul
01:29:48 so that’s who we should seek and that’s
01:29:50 how we should seek him
01:29:53 all our part It’s not a
01:29:55 passive right it it is it takes all your
01:29:59 heart M mind and soul this is a big deal
01:30:04 and that a and that after entering into
01:30:07 Covenant and if from then Thou shalt
01:30:09 seek the Lord thy God Thou shalt find
01:30:11 him if thou seek him with all thy heart
01:30:14 with all thy Soul this is a promise that
01:30:16 we can enter into his
01:30:18 rest
01:30:20 yes
01:30:26 if you’re going after after Yahweh with
01:30:28 a heart minded half heart hearted mind I
01:30:33 think I said that right anyways um you
01:30:35 won’t find him you have to do with all
01:30:37 your heart it’s something that you
01:30:39 really have to want because there will
01:30:43 be
01:30:45 everybody will try to take you off of it
01:30:49 and don’t and don’t go a whoring after
01:30:51 these folks regard them not regard not
01:30:54 them that have familiar spirits neither
01:30:55 seek after Wizards to be defiled by them
01:30:58 I am the Lord your God don’t seek after
01:31:01 familiar spirits don’t seek don’t look
01:31:04 to wizards and
01:31:06 mediums look to the Lord or or your um
01:31:11 astrology daily forecast you know
01:31:13 because that that comes from Wizardry
01:31:16 right y astrology which is a form of
01:31:18 Wizardry but
01:31:20 anyways
01:31:22 and so and so we see that so far
01:31:27 we so far there has not been a single
01:31:30 part that has not that does not Trace
01:31:32 back from
01:31:35 Torah yeah so far First Corinthians 13
01:31:39 is a list of Torah Commandments right
01:31:44 yeah is not easily provoked this is an
01:31:47 attribute of
01:31:50 Yahweh and uh this is from the words of
01:31:54 Nehemiah when he’s rededicating the
01:31:56 temple when he’s dedicating the second
01:31:59 temple and refused to obey neither were
01:32:01 mindful of thy Wonders that thou didst
01:32:03 among them but hardened their necks and
01:32:05 in their Rebellion appointed a captain
01:32:07 to return to their bondage but thou God
01:32:09 but thou art a god ready to Pardon
01:32:12 gracious and merciful slow to anger and
01:32:15 of and of great kindness and forsook US
01:32:18 them
01:32:20 not the Lord is merciful and gracious
01:32:23 Psalm 1038 the Lord is merciful and
01:32:25 gracious slow to anger plenteous in
01:32:30 Mercy and mercy is
01:32:33 forgiveness yeah and if we we have to be
01:32:37 slow this is again that that
01:32:42 thing being slow to anger not being
01:32:45 easily
01:32:47 provoked I mean if we are offended by
01:32:50 every it if if we’re offended by every
01:32:53 word we’ll spend all of our time
01:32:55 offended we won’t be
01:32:59 useful yeah this is where um got to use
01:33:02 some wisdom knowing what to address and
01:33:06 what just to leave alone right
01:33:08 yeah the wrathful man stirreth up Strife
01:33:11 but he that is slow to anger appeaseth
01:33:15 Strife he that is slow to anger is
01:33:17 better is better than the
01:33:20 mighty that’s even the mighty and
01:33:22 scripture
01:33:25 bashing and he that ruleth is Spirit
01:33:28 than he that taketh the
01:33:31 city and so and while I speak against
01:33:34 scripture bashing we should preach from
01:33:36 the scriptures right so
01:33:39 there’s and this is not easy to to teach
01:33:43 and it comes with experience and whatnot
01:33:45 and helping people in particular
01:33:47 circumstances but there’s a difference
01:33:49 between scripture bashing and and
01:33:51 contending for the faith right
01:33:55 right and a l a large part of that is
01:33:58 knowing a large part of that is figuring
01:34:02 out when somebody’s actually still
01:34:05 reasonably responding to what you’re
01:34:07 putting forward not just
01:34:10 the right if they’re not gonna if it
01:34:13 looks like they’re not gonna learn from
01:34:15 you no matter what you say it’s probably
01:34:17 not worth putting any effort into it go
01:34:20 go go find someone who will
01:34:23 listen don’t just go out and show how
01:34:26 smart you are because we really are not
01:34:29 go find someone who will
01:34:31 listen when they’re
01:34:33 shown that they’re wrong by the
01:34:35 scriptures not our personal opinions but
01:34:37 by yahweh’s word right yeah we’re
01:34:41 supposed to teach by the word not our
01:34:45 opinions okay and so thinketh no
01:34:49 evil Thou shalt not follow a multitude
01:34:52 to do evil neither shalt thou speak in a
01:34:54 cause to decline after many to rest
01:34:58 judgment so I think maybe it might be
01:35:01 important here is how do we Define
01:35:05 evil it’s breaking Torah right yes evil
01:35:10 is breaking Torah right because Torah
01:35:13 defines what is righteous and what is
01:35:16 evil and it’s by his laws or
01:35:20 Commandments or another words for that
01:35:22 or another one is statutes and judgments
01:35:26 that’s how we know what is good and evil
01:35:28 also another one here how long shall I
01:35:32 bear with this evil congregation which
01:35:34 murmur against me I’ve heard the
01:35:36 murmurings of the children of Israel
01:35:37 which they murmur against me this is
01:35:40 before the Lord swears in his wrath that
01:35:42 they shall not enter into the land of
01:35:45 promise just before that yeah they were
01:35:48 speaking against Yahweh Elohim and that
01:35:52 is not trying to understand why he’s
01:35:54 doing this or what I’m supposed to learn
01:35:58 but they were saying that he was evil
01:36:01 right yep and that and that comes from
01:36:03 thinking evil
01:36:07 yeah um when thou shalt beet children
01:36:10 and children’s children and ye shall
01:36:12 have remained long in the land shall
01:36:13 corrupt yourselves and make a grave in
01:36:15 image here he’s describing the process
01:36:17 of what happens as people get get
01:36:20 indulged in thinking
01:36:23 evil or the likeness of any living thing
01:36:26 and shall and shall do evil in the sight
01:36:28 of the Lord thy God to provoke to
01:36:31 anger the fact our thought our evil
01:36:35 thoughts are always reflected in our
01:36:37 evil
01:36:39 [Music]
01:36:42 actions and
01:36:44 so think no thinketh no evil therefore
01:36:49 does no evil
01:36:54 and that Prophet or that dreamer of
01:36:55 Dreams shall be put to death because he
01:36:57 has spoken to turn you away from the
01:36:58 Lord your God which brought you out of
01:37:00 the land of Egypt and redeemed you out
01:37:01 of the house of bondage to thrust thee
01:37:04 out of the way which the Lord thy God
01:37:06 commanded thee to walk in so shalt thou
01:37:08 put the evil away from the midst of thee
01:37:11 now since we cannot put people to death
01:37:14 what we can do is cut them off as
01:37:18 useless branches as Joseph smth taught
01:37:21 so Joseph Smith thought just just on
01:37:23 this little tidbit here um it is the
01:37:29 Civil uh government that does is the
01:37:32 only thing that has authority to put
01:37:33 things to death even in yahweh’s Kingdom
01:37:36 there is a church and then there’s the
01:37:39 civil government it’s only the civil
01:37:41 government that has the right to put
01:37:42 people to death the church has the right
01:37:46 to
01:37:47 excommunicate
01:37:50 okay Deuteronomy 3:15 see I have set
01:37:53 before thee this day life and good the
01:37:56 law
01:37:57 porah and death and evil everything
01:38:02 else
01:38:04 yeah
01:38:06 so so how do we think no
01:38:10 evil DW meditate on the law
01:38:15 continually uh and I just want to uh
01:38:18 clear meditate up a little bit because
01:38:20 uh Eastern religions and new age I use
01:38:23 it a little differently but it’s
01:38:26 thinking upon the law right trying to
01:38:30 figure it
01:38:31 out um what what should I have done
01:38:34 according to the law in this situation
01:38:36 where I’m you know after the fact
01:38:38 thinking about things and how to be
01:38:40 better it it’s trying to write it upon
01:38:43 our heart to understand it and knowing
01:38:45 how to use it in the
01:38:48 moment in the future because we’re we
01:38:50 are
01:38:51 uh not growing up in the
01:38:53 law uh we have to learn it right where
01:38:57 the Jews they learned the law but they
01:39:00 don’t accept the Messiah in general
01:39:03 right right so charity rejoiceth not in
01:39:08 iniquity in
01:39:10 fact the the as people as people I like
01:39:15 this in Leviticus 26 39-44 which talks
01:39:20 about Leviticus 26 talks about the
01:39:23 consequences of sin the and uh being
01:39:27 brought back under and being brought
01:39:29 under the Covenant once again
01:39:32 because um the Lord Has Not Forgotten
01:39:35 his
01:39:36 people um they that are left of you
01:39:40 shall Pine away in their iniquity in
01:39:42 your enemies
01:39:44 lands and also in the iniquities of
01:39:46 their fathers shall they Pine away with
01:39:49 them Pine
01:39:52 sorrow if they shall confess their
01:39:55 iniquity and the iniquity of their
01:39:57 fathers which their Tres with their
01:40:00 trespass which they trespassed against
01:40:02 me that they have also walked contrary
01:40:04 unto me so one one thing I think part of
01:40:07 the reason why it’s important to confess
01:40:09 the iniquities of their fathers is to
01:40:11 show that they have no part in what
01:40:15 these false Traditions or iniquities
01:40:16 that they grew up around with their
01:40:18 fathers in right so this is going back
01:40:22 to earlier how we talked about how uh
01:40:24 Yahweh punishes the sins upon the
01:40:27 children of to three or four generations
01:40:29 it’s because they keep the same sins if
01:40:32 you’re confessing your father’s
01:40:34 sins uh it’s showing that you’re doing
01:40:37 your best not to do the same sins that
01:40:40 your father did so if they shall confess
01:40:43 their I think Matt wants to say
01:40:44 something in other
01:40:46 words they
01:40:49 are that’s exactly it they’re confessing
01:40:52 they’re acknowledging that it is
01:40:54 actually a sin they are not living in
01:40:56 the land of
01:40:59 denial
01:41:01 yeah if they shall confess their
01:41:04 iniquity and the iniquity of their
01:41:05 fathers with their trespass which they
01:41:07 trespassed against me that also they
01:41:10 have walked contrary unto me those of us
01:41:13 who need this is something that’s really
01:41:16 important for us to remember as we
01:41:17 repent and return to Torah and that I
01:41:20 have also walked and that I also have
01:41:23 walked contrary to them and have brought
01:41:24 them into the land of their enemies if
01:41:26 then their uncircumcised Hearts be
01:41:29 humbled and they then accept of the
01:41:32 punishment of their
01:41:34 iniquity then will I remember my
01:41:36 Covenant with Jacob and also my Covenant
01:41:39 with
01:41:42 Isaac and also my Covenant with Abraham
01:41:45 will I
01:41:46 remember and I will remember the
01:41:49 land
01:41:51 and the the land also shall be left of
01:41:53 them and shall enjoy her sabbaths while
01:41:56 she lieth desolate without them and they
01:41:58 shall accepted the punishment of their
01:42:00 iniquity because even because they
01:42:02 despise thy Jud my judgments and because
01:42:04 their soul abord my statutes and yet for
01:42:07 all that when they be in the land of
01:42:08 their enemies I will not cast them away
01:42:11 neither will I abore them to destroy
01:42:14 them utterly and break my Covenant with
01:42:16 them for I am the Lord their
01:42:19 God the facts of the matter
01:42:24 are all of us have
01:42:27 sin except for one right except for
01:42:33 one but how many of us are willing to
01:42:35 circumcise our
01:42:36 hearts offer the broken heart contrite
01:42:39 spirit acknowledge our fault acknowledge
01:42:45 for acknowledge that we need to walk in
01:42:48 it that we need to and and that we need
01:42:53 that we cannot expect any blessing from
01:42:56 the that we cannot expect any blessing
01:42:58 from the hand of the Lord unless we are
01:42:59 walking in
01:43:06 it the key word being expect any
01:43:11 blessing and even when we’re walking in
01:43:13 it we can expect the blessings that are
01:43:14 given in
01:43:19 it but if we are willing to Humble
01:43:22 ourselves Rejoice not in our and and
01:43:25 rather than rejoice in our iniquities
01:43:28 humble ourselves because of
01:43:31 them the Lord will protect us because he
01:43:35 has declared it in his
01:43:40 Torah one thing I’ll just add real quick
01:43:44 um I think been finished yeah I’m pretty
01:43:47 close that yeah sorry about that
01:43:49 sometimes it’s a little tricky on
01:43:50 overline but
01:43:54 um the thing that uh during Jeremiah’s
01:43:59 time that caused them to be cast out was
01:44:03 that they did not keep a
01:44:06 Sabbath right it was the land Sabbath
01:44:09 but that was got got them kicked off the
01:44:11 land because that is yahweh’s sign or
01:44:15 seal between us and him and here they’re
01:44:18 talking about the sabbaths and I do
01:44:20 think it’s important to note that we are
01:44:22 here meeting on a lunar Sabbath right we
01:44:26 are we are meeting at the Lord’s
01:44:28 appointed time as given by the Lord’s
01:44:32 appointed time pieces the Sun and the
01:44:35 Moon as in Genesis 114 and 16 right
01:44:41 yep what do we rejoice in if we have
01:44:44 charity we rejoice in the
01:44:48 truth moreover Thou shalt provide out of
01:44:50 all the people able men such as fear God
01:44:53 men of Truth hating covetousness plac
01:44:56 such over them to be rulers of thousands
01:44:58 rulers of hundreds rulers of 50s and
01:45:00 rulers of
01:45:01 tens the man of
01:45:03 Charity is who is supposed to be chosen
01:45:06 as a lord he who lives in the law and
01:45:11 the Lord passed by before them and
01:45:13 proclaimed the Lord the Lord God
01:45:14 merciful and gracious longsuffering and
01:45:16 abundant in goodness and truth so we are
01:45:19 to rejoice in
01:45:23 y so one thing I’ll say real quick back
01:45:26 to Exodus uh 18 that promise is repeated
01:45:32 in Deuteronomy
01:45:34 28-29 uh that those
01:45:36 who um keep yahweh’s law they become a
01:45:40 ruler just as Daniel did right Daniel
01:45:43 kept the law and then became a ruler and
01:45:46 then also as also Nephi did yeah uh and
01:45:49 first Nephi it’s brought out that Yahweh
01:45:53 told Nephi son of Lehi that he’ll become
01:45:56 a l a
01:45:58 ruler uh when he keeps yahweh’s law
01:46:02 Torah right
01:46:06 yep Deuteronomy 32:4 he is the rock his
01:46:09 work is perfect for all his ways are
01:46:11 judgment the god of truth without
01:46:13 iniquity just and right is
01:46:16 [Music]
01:46:19 he
01:46:21 and
01:46:22 here we’re supposed to love God we’re
01:46:25 supposed to rejoice in in yeh and in the
01:46:28 in Yahweh our Elohim therefore shal Thou
01:46:30 shalt love Yahweh thy Elohim and keep
01:46:33 his charge and his statutes and his
01:46:35 judgments and his
01:46:37 Commandments that’s in Deuteronomy
01:46:42 11:1 so
01:46:44 when Yeshua cited this as the first and
01:46:47 great
01:46:48 commandment he was actually
01:46:50 quoting
01:46:56 scripture John 1 one in the beginning
01:47:00 was the word and the Word was with God
01:47:03 and the Word was God made more clear in
01:47:05 Joseph Smith translation John 1:1 in the
01:47:08 beginning was the Gospel preached
01:47:09 through the sun and the gospel was the
01:47:12 word Torah and the Word was with the Son
01:47:17 and the son was with God and the son was
01:47:20 of God we rejoice in Torah because it
01:47:23 was with because it was with this
01:47:26 because it was with uh the son and with
01:47:29 the father in the
01:47:34 beginning so if those we want to look uh
01:47:37 Ben and I put uh jst John one in a kmus
01:47:42 if anybody wants to take a look yeah
01:47:45 John
01:47:46 146 Jesus Yeshua saith unto them unto
01:47:50 him
01:47:50 I am the way the truth and the life
01:47:55 Yeshua equates himself with porah if you
01:47:58 rejoice in the Lord and you
01:48:01 say if you say you rejoice in the Lord
01:48:04 and you do
01:48:06 not and you say that you do not have to
01:48:08 keep Torah you are a
01:48:12 liar you need to
01:48:15 repent Yeshua was the perfect
01:48:18 personification of t
01:48:22 as in he kept every jot and tit and
01:48:26 everything he did so that we have the
01:48:29 perfect example to go by to know how to
01:48:32 keep Torah and Torah is his mind and
01:48:36 will yes
01:48:39 recorded and and uh that’s from luxures
01:48:42 on faith five that um talked about it
01:48:45 that way right
01:48:47 yep I yeah and so yeah that’s uh and
01:48:52 beareth all things believeth all things
01:48:55 hopeth all things endureth all things
01:48:57 all things is equivalent to
01:49:01 Torah so he beareth Torah just like
01:49:05 Aaron Bears the judgments upon his
01:49:08 heart right and judgments come from
01:49:11 where Torah
01:49:15 Torah and uh so all things is an
01:49:18 equivalate is an equ is equivalency to
01:49:21 Torah
01:49:22 right I if you want I can show that from
01:49:27 the tanak I haven’t done it in other
01:49:28 places yet but I have a lot of verses
01:49:30 that shows that all things is Torah but
01:49:34 I I need to I need I need to take a
01:49:37 potty break so I’ll just hand this over
01:49:38 to you while you show that real quick
01:49:41 and I’ll be right back all right so go
01:49:43 ahead uh stop
01:49:44 sharing yeah so uh let me get up a
01:49:48 window we put it on this
01:49:55 one so oh actually wrong thing
01:50:00 I’m I need to do this window silly
01:50:04 me okay
01:50:07 so
01:50:11 Torah and then all things
01:50:16 so um oh let’s make this a little
01:50:23 better okay so there here’s a lot of
01:50:27 things where yeah there’s a few verses
01:50:30 here’s my my favorite ones up here at
01:50:33 the top okay but
01:50:36 Deuteronomy uh
01:50:38 8818 is one of my favorite ones that
01:50:40 shows that all things is Torah and then
01:50:44 just FYI um underneath all is the Hebrew
01:50:48 word uh
01:50:50 3605 we can go look at that in Bible Hub
01:50:53 in just a minute but
01:50:56 um Christie are uh actually I think you
01:51:00 oh no was kelse Christie are you willing
01:51:02 to read Deuteronomy
01:51:05 18:18 sure
01:51:07 yes okay I will raise them up a prophet
01:51:11 from among their Brethren like unto thee
01:51:14 and will put my words in his mouth and
01:51:17 he shall speak unto them all that I
01:51:20 shall command him now this Prophet that
01:51:23 they’re talking about that Moses is
01:51:26 talking about right here is a quote from
01:51:29 Yahweh he’s saying I will raise up
01:51:34 Yeshua
01:51:36 among the
01:51:38 Israelites and I will put Torah in his
01:51:42 mouth right and he will tell them all
01:51:46 that Yahweh told them to do
01:51:51 right all things is another place that
01:51:54 they say it um so uh I’ll read
01:51:58 Deuteronomy 81 through3 and all and I
01:52:02 have uh Hebrew
01:52:05 3605 just to point that it’s the same
01:52:07 Hebrew word because sometimes they they
01:52:09 translate it a little differently in the
01:52:12 King James but anyways all the
01:52:15 Commandments that’s Torah which I
01:52:18 command thee this day
01:52:20 shall ye observe to do all of them not
01:52:24 just some of them just like the baptism
01:52:26 Covenant we Covenant to keep all his
01:52:28 Commandments just not some of them that
01:52:30 you may
01:52:32 live now uh the opposite of living is
01:52:36 death and when in hebraic thought when
01:52:40 we sin we
01:52:42 die because the wages of sins is death
01:52:46 as in separation from Yahweh and in
01:52:50 Adam’s case that’s why we physically die
01:52:53 but I if I don’t know about you but I
01:52:57 have sinned so I’ve caused my own
01:52:59 physical death in addition to Adam so uh
01:53:03 I didn’t need him to do it because I did
01:53:05 it myself but
01:53:07 anyways and go in and
01:53:11 possess the land or the your Promised
01:53:15 Land Heaven which Yahweh swore unto your
01:53:18 fathers
01:53:20 Yahweh
01:53:21 told the prophets before us that we can
01:53:25 go to heaven and they the prophets are
01:53:27 trying to teach us how to get there and
01:53:30 thou shalt
01:53:32 remember everything all which Yahweh thy
01:53:38 Elohim LED thee these 40 years in the
01:53:41 wilderness so 40 has to do with the
01:53:44 testing period so are you going to do
01:53:47 the things that Yahweh taught you while
01:53:50 here in
01:53:51 mortality
01:53:53 right to be humble to seek after him to
01:53:57 prove thee to test Thee the purpose is
01:54:01 the life is to see if we’ll keep
01:54:03 yahweh’s Commandments and all things
01:54:05 that he commands right Abraham 3
01:54:08 something 25 maybe anyways to know that
01:54:13 what was in thine heart or in other
01:54:16 words what do you really
01:54:18 desire you you say you want to be like
01:54:23 me now show it right show it in your
01:54:26 action show it even when it’s
01:54:29 hard don’t be like people that say I
01:54:32 want to be like Yahweh in their mouth
01:54:36 but in their hearts they’re far from
01:54:39 it whether
01:54:41 thou was keepest his Commandments or not
01:54:46 right that’s why he’s proving he’s
01:54:48 proving mainly
01:54:50 to yourself because he knows already but
01:54:54 you don’t because I don’t know about you
01:54:56 but I don’t know everything despite what
01:54:58 some people say I don’t know everything
01:55:02 okay and so I he I need to find out
01:55:06 myself if I will keep his Commandments
01:55:08 or not even when it’s hard even when
01:55:11 it’s hard
01:55:14 okay and he humbleth thee and suffereth
01:55:18 thee to hunger
01:55:21 and then he fed thee with
01:55:26 Mana which is physical and spiritual
01:55:29 right which thou knowest not you didn’t
01:55:32 know what it was you didn’t understand
01:55:34 it but you still ate it right I mean
01:55:38 Mana itself means what is this or what
01:55:41 was or what is that is it this or that
01:55:43 if anyways same thing they didn’t
01:55:45 understand it right they didn’t know
01:55:45 what it was did you want to say
01:55:47 something Ben and it’s Torah it’s Torah
01:55:49 it’s the bread from heaven right right
01:55:52 but when you start eating it you don’t
01:55:54 understand it no most people yeah you
01:55:57 don’t understand it right when you
01:55:59 start
01:56:00 that that’s why most people think that
01:56:03 the Hebrew peoples
01:56:05 are weird are are weird uh
01:56:11 uneducated um back then or that they
01:56:14 were back then they were uneducated very
01:56:17 very simple and not capable of
01:56:20 uh complex thoughts right well and I I
01:56:23 think this is when you look at the
01:56:25 spiritual meaning of Mana it really
01:56:28 brings out what’s going on with Torah at
01:56:31 the same time right that’s why I think
01:56:34 that’s why it’s here and that’s what I’m
01:56:35 trying you know it’s really interesting
01:56:37 that people Scholars will state that
01:56:41 they do that they don’t think that the
01:56:43 idea of a redeemer was
01:56:47 prevalent at the time it was prevalent
01:56:50 in Hebrew society and that’s just not
01:56:53 true No in fact that I mean I don’t know
01:56:58 since Ben’s back I’ll let him decide but
01:56:59 I could Sidetrack where throughout the
01:57:01 Book of Mormon it talks about that all
01:57:04 the prophets testified of the Messiah
01:57:08 yep now the Bible’s been modified but
01:57:12 even just beyond even with the
01:57:13 modifications you can see that with the
01:57:16 types and the Shadows that are
01:57:17 throughout all the scriptures
01:57:20 like
01:57:22 um uh the one from the 8th of this month
01:57:27 we went over how Elma 17 how Ammon is
01:57:30 the type of the Messiah and during his
01:57:33 mortal Ministry it’s once you have the
01:57:36 key or the the basic understanding you
01:57:39 can see it over that whole chapter and
01:57:41 many chapters after we I just I’m just
01:57:44 long-winded so we ran out of time sorry
01:57:48 but anyways hopefully it was insightful
01:57:50 for people um
01:57:54 anyways neither did thy fathers know
01:57:57 that he might make thee know that thou
01:58:01 Dost not live by bread alone so this is
01:58:04 where switching from just physical only
01:58:08 to the spiritual but by every now this
01:58:12 every is the same Hebrew Ro behind this
01:58:15 all here that proceedeth out of the
01:58:18 mouth of Yahweh does Man live AK not die
01:58:25 and gain or get the punishment of sin
01:58:29 which is death right and so what we see
01:58:32 here is very
01:58:35 clearly the Paul’s admonition to charity
01:58:40 is an or his
01:58:44 U his extell of Charity is an exell of
01:58:48 what yeah it is is so with you back I I
01:58:51 could keep going more or do you
01:58:54 want let let me press let me press this
01:58:57 on to let me press this onto its
01:58:59 conclusion okay all right so let me stop
01:59:01 share you go ahead and
01:59:06 back
01:59:08 and go and here we are
01:59:12 okay and
01:59:15 so from there uh so we can see that that
01:59:19 Paul the what Paul was extoling is
01:59:24 Torah and
01:59:26 Moroni repeats Paul’s
01:59:30 exell and it’s uh and it’s really
01:59:32 powerful because charity means to keep
01:59:37 Torah and take care of those who take
01:59:40 care of those who can’t take care of
01:59:43 themselves acting in Justice and truth
01:59:46 and not taking advantage of your
01:59:48 neighbor
01:59:49 and charity suffereth long and is kind
01:59:52 and envieth not and is not puffed up
01:59:54 seeketh not her own is not easily
01:59:56 provoked thinketh no evil rejoiceth not
01:59:58 in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth
02:00:01 beareth all things believeth all things
02:00:04 hopeth all things beareth Torah
02:00:07 believeth Torah hopes in Torah endures
02:00:10 through
02:00:13 Torah wherefore my beloved Brethren if
02:00:15 ye have not
02:00:17 charity ye are nothing
02:00:20 for charity never fath but I I’ll just
02:00:23 say Yeshua to go along with that Yeshua
02:00:27 stated it would be better that you had
02:00:30 not known me right as in the perfect
02:00:35 perif foration of
02:00:37 Torah
02:00:39 right wherefore hasn’t you’re nothing
02:00:42 because it would have been better that
02:00:43 you had not had known me yep wherefore
02:00:48 cleave unto Cher
02:00:52 obedience the Torah and its injunctions
02:00:57 which is the greatest of all for all
02:00:59 things must
02:01:01 fail but charity is the Pure Love Of
02:01:04 Christ and it endureth forever and whoo
02:01:08 is found possessed of it at the last day
02:01:10 it shall be well with
02:01:14 him you can be found in possession of
02:01:18 obedience
02:01:20 you can be possessed by you can you can
02:01:24 give your heart over completely to the
02:01:26 mind and will of God and have it fill
02:01:30 you
02:01:31 completely and
02:01:34 that is that is what he’s talking about
02:01:37 to give your will over to
02:01:40 Yahweh to take his will his yoke upon
02:01:44 you porah is his
02:01:48 yoke
02:01:49 so if if it’s okay can we Sidetrack on
02:01:53 Matthew 5 for just I mean not five
02:01:56 Matthew 7 the last chapter of the sermon
02:01:58 on the Torah I mean on the mount yeah
02:02:01 sure because I think that it’ll help
02:02:04 drill in how charity is obedience for us
02:02:09 okay scriptures
02:02:11 Matthew chapter
02:02:17 7 yeah we do that it’s near the end uh
02:02:21 if you want to do search it’s Lord Lord
02:02:24 right okay it’s near the
02:02:27 bottom
02:02:30 uh Lord
02:02:39 Lord go find on
02:02:42 page so no no click that top one find on
02:02:45 page no no that
02:02:47 I oh I got cck Lord Lord there okay oh
02:02:53 shoot okay that screwed up so then click
02:02:57 on well there we can just do it this way
02:03:00 yeah uh right there 22 22 okay okay yeah
02:03:05 there we verses 21 through 23 really
02:03:08 yeah yeah so not everyone that saith
02:03:12 unto me Yahweh Yahweh shall enter into
02:03:14 the kingdom of heaven but he that doeth
02:03:19 the will of My Father which is in heaven
02:03:21 so here in in Moroni 7 it talks about
02:03:25 how if you’re not doing these things
02:03:27 you’re nothing
02:03:29 right and here’s it and
02:03:33 and
02:03:36 yeshua’s probably most famous sermon and
02:03:39 the least understood
02:03:41 okay sermon on the Torah that here he’s
02:03:44 saying if you don’t deal do Torah you’re
02:03:49 not getting into
02:03:51 heaven and then will I profess unto them
02:03:53 I never knew you right so I’m trying to
02:03:57 bring out how keeping the Commandments
02:03:59 when you know what charity is in the
02:04:03 actual original Hebrew language means
02:04:07 righteousness that goes along with this
02:04:09 many will say unto me in that day Yahweh
02:04:12 Yahweh have we not prophesied in thy
02:04:15 name and in thy name cast out devils and
02:04:19 in thy name done many works and this is
02:04:21 what he says then I Yahweh profess unto
02:04:25 them I never knew you depart from me he
02:04:29 who do not keep
02:04:32 Torah charity is keeping Torah if you
02:04:36 don’t have charity you’re kept out of
02:04:38 the Kingdom just like if you’re not
02:04:40 righteous you’re kept out of the
02:04:43 Kingdom or depart from me right I’d say
02:04:48 that was a pretty good Sidetrack see
02:04:50 charity is the Pure Love Of
02:04:52 Christ and uh it’s the pure love of the
02:04:55 Messiah and the Messiah really defined
02:04:57 it well for
02:04:59 us if you love me keep my
02:05:06 Commandments see true I mean I in
02:05:10 today’s society it makes no sense for
02:05:12 charity to be the pure love that he
02:05:15 has and have it be useful for us it’s
02:05:18 pure love that we have for him that
02:05:22 causes us to keep his Commandments that
02:05:25 makes it that makes it so that his
02:05:27 atonement can be expedient for us right
02:05:31 so that way we can have sanctification
02:05:33 right yes so in in society they they
02:05:38 like to make love to be like it’s lust
02:05:42 they they don’t say it this way but the
02:05:44 way they present it love is lust right
02:05:47 but in the Hebrew Bible and the Hebrew
02:05:50 scriptures including the Book of Mormon
02:05:52 and the DNC love is equated with
02:05:58 diligence as in doing what you say you
02:06:01 would
02:06:02 do so and and when we get
02:06:06 married we make covenants with each
02:06:08 other that we’re going to help each
02:06:10 other and take care of each other that’s
02:06:13 a commandment just like how our
02:06:16 relationship with Yahweh is like unto a
02:06:20 marriage so if you love me keep my
02:06:25 Commandments now the converse is also
02:06:27 true the opposite is also true if you
02:06:29 don’t keep his Commandments if you don’t
02:06:31 Torah if you don’t keep Torah then you
02:06:33 don’t love
02:06:36 him John chapter 1 verses two John 1
02:06:40 John 2 verses 3-6 and hereby we do know
02:06:43 that we know him if we keep his
02:06:46 Commandments it’s not if we uh
02:06:49 know what they are and list them off but
02:06:52 then don’t do them right just if we
02:06:56 shama Listen and Obey and do yes he that
02:07:03 saith I know him and keepeth not his
02:07:06 Commandments is a liar and the truth is
02:07:10 not in
02:07:13 him but who so keepeth his word in him
02:07:17 verily is the love of God
02:07:19 perfected hereby know we that we are in
02:07:23 him he that saith he abideth in him
02:07:26 ought himself also so to walk even as he
02:07:31 walked and it’s
02:07:35 possible and one thing I do think it’s
02:07:37 important to say bring out even as he
02:07:40 has
02:07:40 walked Yeshua kept Torah there there’s
02:07:43 not there’s not any real debate about
02:07:46 that right I mean some people might but
02:07:49 it’s it’s really fress he kept it just
02:07:52 it’s what they’ll debate over is which
02:07:54 definition of Tora he kept right right
02:07:57 um but they’ll also then say they did it
02:08:01 so we don’t have to but here is in the
02:08:04 New Testament after his death and
02:08:06 resurrection and I’m bringing that point
02:08:08 on purpose and there if if there is one
02:08:11 of the apostles who actually understood
02:08:14 in any
02:08:15 degree much about Yeshua it was
02:08:18 John yeah he was the Beloved
02:08:22 right but he brings out that we need to
02:08:25 do as he did and he did
02:08:34 Torah so you’ve you’ve heard me use
02:08:38 intercol interconnected the
02:08:41 terms spirit in Torah I’m going to show
02:08:45 you here
02:08:47 why the fruits of the spirit the fruit
02:08:50 of the spirit is love joy peace
02:08:53 longsuffering gentleness goodness Faith
02:08:55 meekness Temperance against such there
02:08:58 is no law why one just before you go on
02:09:03 Matt I think we want to at least I want
02:09:05 to bring out how um fruits of the
02:09:09 behavior of how Yahweh tells us to
02:09:12 behave is love because another
02:09:15 definition of spirit is behavior and the
02:09:21 Hebrew road behind that is going to be I
02:09:24 have a hard time saying
02:09:26 it anyways I’m not even gonna attempt
02:09:31 it yeah yeah it’s gonna be that okay
02:09:36 so uh maybe if you get me drunk enough
02:09:38 I’ll attempt it no I’m just kidding um
02:09:41 drun I’m drunker of E from challenge we
02:09:44 have a challenge yeah yeah but um
02:09:48 that also points to yahweh’s law as we
02:09:52 talked about earlier in the recording
02:09:54 right
02:09:56 yeah so the fruits of the
02:09:59 spirit love Deuteronomy 11:1 Thou shalt
02:10:04 love the Lord thy God keep his charge
02:10:06 and statutes and his judgments and his
02:10:08 Commandments all way we not just
02:10:11 sometimes this is a fruit of the spirit
02:10:15 well I think that’s a mistranslation so
02:10:17 I think that’s supposed be sometimes not
02:10:19 always uh no that’s it’s always I’m
02:10:22 sorry Stephen I think you need to burn
02:10:24 that Bible that you’re reading well I
02:10:27 like it it makes me feel warm and
02:10:29 [Laughter]
02:10:32 fuzzy it’ll make you feel even more warm
02:10:34 and fuzzy when you burn it okay it’ll
02:10:37 definitely make me warm for sure
02:10:41 right Leviticus
02:10:44 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge nor bear any
02:10:47 grudge against against the children of
02:10:49 thy people but Thou shalt love thy
02:10:51 neighbor as thyself I am the Lord the
02:10:54 new gospel is no different than Torah
02:11:01 the Second Great commandment the Lord
02:11:03 did not give the two great Commandments
02:11:06 to replace the
02:11:07 10 the 10 were given to explain the
02:11:12 two right uh so and I mean I think we’ve
02:11:16 already shown that
02:11:19 no I I I know what you mean but I I do
02:11:21 want to bring out that the good news the
02:11:24 gospel is Yahweh paid for our
02:11:28 sins because if he hadn’t uh because we
02:11:32 had sinned once as second Nei n brings
02:11:34 out even if we keep it perfectly but we
02:11:38 deny Yeshua we’ll still become demons
02:11:41 unto Satan right we need
02:11:45 him to get past
02:11:49 the curse that we put on ourselves but
02:11:52 here’s the interesting thing the fruits
02:11:55 of the spirit the fruit of Love is a
02:11:58 commandment yeah it is a commandment
02:12:01 it’s commanded the fruit of Love is
02:12:04 commanded and how do we love according
02:12:07 to the T according to the
02:12:10 T well that as Yeshua stated it in the
02:12:13 New Testament thus hangs all the Torah
02:12:16 and the sayings of the prophets
02:12:20 right Joy is commanded Deuteronomy 28:47
02:12:25 because thou servest not the Lord thy
02:12:28 God with joyfulness and gladness of
02:12:30 heart for the abundance of all things
02:12:32 the curses of Deuteronomy descend
02:12:35 because they didn’t serve the Lord with
02:12:37 a joyful heart right right uh and also
02:12:40 it goes along with Mori 7 uh early in
02:12:43 the
02:12:45 chapter need to um but if you do it for
02:12:48 the wrong reason it’s counted as evil to
02:12:53 you thus you’ll get the curses because
02:12:56 it’s not righteousness
02:12:58 right and peace so much so many of The
02:13:02 Commandments and so much of Torah
02:13:04 revolves around this idea of Peace you
02:13:06 offer a peace sacrifice of Peace
02:13:08 offerings on the Lord you shall offer it
02:13:09 at your own
02:13:11 will and I will give you peace in the
02:13:13 land and you shall lie down and none
02:13:14 shall make you afraid and I will rid
02:13:17 evil beasts out to the land neither
02:13:19 shall the sword go through your land
02:13:21 this is this is both a physical literal
02:13:25 and spiritual
02:13:27 promise y the Lord lift and this is the
02:13:31 blessing that the Levites pronounce upon
02:13:33 the children of Israel year by year this
02:13:36 is a part of it the Lord lift up his
02:13:39 countenance upon thee and give thee
02:13:41 peace why how and why does he give them
02:13:45 peace because they’re keeping Torah
02:13:48 wherefore say behold I give unto him my
02:13:50 Covenant of Peace so just to go along
02:13:53 with that in the New Testament uh Yahweh
02:13:55 told the
02:13:56 apostles that when they’re keeping his
02:13:59 way they’ll get Comfort or peace
02:14:04 right Deuteronomy this is a really
02:14:07 interesting thing when the Lord’s
02:14:09 commanding the people to go in and take
02:14:10 the city is what it he first tells them
02:14:13 to offer them
02:14:15 peace when thou comest nigh unto a city
02:14:17 to against it then Proclaim then
02:14:20 Proclaim peace unto it and it shall be
02:14:22 if it make answer of peace and open unto
02:14:24 thee then it shall be that all the
02:14:26 people that is found therein shall be
02:14:27 tributaries unto thee and they Shall
02:14:29 Serve thee and it sh and if it will make
02:14:32 no peace with thee but will make war
02:14:34 against thee then that shalt thou
02:14:35 besiege it and take it and destroy
02:14:37 everything in it y y y all that stuff
02:14:41 but they were first to offer that all
02:14:42 the branch of peace right so this also
02:14:45 goes along with the um the promise that
02:14:49 Yahweh gave unto Abraham right those who
02:14:51 bless Thee I will bless those who curse
02:14:53 Thee I will curse
02:14:56 yep and thou shalt not seek their peace
02:15:00 or their prosperity all thy days Forever
02:15:02 This is talking about the inhabitants of
02:15:04 the
02:15:05 land we are
02:15:07 not if we wish to have yahweh’s peace we
02:15:10 cannot be at peace with the
02:15:12 world right well yahweh’s peace is
02:15:15 different than the world’s peace is BAS
02:15:17 basically what that say right yep if he
02:15:20 say thus it is well thy servant shall
02:15:22 have peace but if he be very rth then be
02:15:24 sure that evil is determined by
02:15:27 him so uh depart from Evil and do good
02:15:32 seek peace and pursue it there
02:15:35 commandment seek peace right well the
02:15:37 way you get peace is by keeping the
02:15:39 Commandments right that’s right in fact
02:15:42 if you look into this Psalms it even
02:15:44 says that by depart from evil which
02:15:49 means keep the Torah y keep but the meek
02:15:54 shall inherit the earth the meek are
02:15:56 those resting in forah they’re not the
02:15:58 doormats they’re those resting in forah
02:16:03 correct and shall Delight themselves in
02:16:05 abundance of Peace Mark the perfect man
02:16:09 behold the upright for the end of that
02:16:11 man is Peace Mark him Mark the perfect
02:16:14 man Mark yehovah right right who kept
02:16:20 Torah perfectly that’s what makes us
02:16:22 perfect is whether we keep his law or
02:16:25 not great peace have they which love thy
02:16:28 law and nothing shall offend
02:16:34 them
02:16:36 longsuffering and again we’ve been over
02:16:38 this one pretty
02:16:40 well
02:16:43 gentleness thou Hast also given me the
02:16:46 shield of thy salvation and thy right
02:16:48 hand hath Holden me up and thy
02:16:50 gentleness hath made the hath made me
02:16:55 great now I Paul bee myself beseech you
02:16:58 by the meekness and gentleness of Christ
02:17:01 who in presence who in presence and Bas
02:17:05 among you but with it but being absent
02:17:07 and bold toward
02:17:12 you so
02:17:14 um when we’re being bold well telling
02:17:18 what is truth we still need to be gentle
02:17:21 about it but still be bold at the same
02:17:24 time um and with that he will protect us
02:17:31 right
02:17:33 yep absolutely no power or influence can
02:17:36 or ought to be maintained by virtue of
02:17:38 the
02:17:39 priesthood only by persuasion by
02:17:42 longsuffering by gentleness and meekness
02:17:45 and by love on pain
02:17:49 yeah I I think personally I think that’s
02:17:52 probably the clearest one that states it
02:17:54 as a commandment right
02:17:57 yep and that’s a commandment to keep por
02:18:00 by the
02:18:01 way longsuffering gentleness and
02:18:04 meekness all these things commandment to
02:18:08 charity yeah un
02:18:13 pain goodness and the Lord passed by
02:18:15 before him and proclaimed the Lord the
02:18:18 Lord the Lord God merciful and gracious
02:18:20 longsuffering in abundant in goodness
02:18:22 and Truth Psalm 213 for if thou
02:18:25 preventest him with blessings of
02:18:27 goodness thou set us a crown of pure
02:18:28 gold upon his head Psalm 257 remember
02:18:32 not the sins of my youth nor my
02:18:34 transgressions according to thy mercy
02:18:37 remember thou me for thy goodness sake
02:18:40 oh
02:18:42 Lord all what do all these things have
02:18:45 in common who’s good
02:18:48 Yahweh
02:18:50 Yahweh be ye there Matthew
02:18:54 5:48 Yeshua
02:18:56 before his
02:18:58 Ascension be ye therefore
02:19:00 perfect even as your father which is in
02:19:04 heaven is
02:19:06 perfect Matthew 19:17 also before the
02:19:10 Ascension the young man ask the young
02:19:13 man calls him good Master Jesus and
02:19:15 Yeshua answers him and said
02:19:18 and he said unto him why callest thou me
02:19:20 good there is none good but one that is
02:19:26 Elohim but if thou Wilt enter into life
02:19:29 oh what keep the Commandments yeah so
02:19:34 one thing I do want to bring out here um
02:19:38 that the reason why Yeshua said why
02:19:41 callest thou me good is
02:19:44 because uh he didn’t believe he was God
02:19:49 not that he Yeshua is not Elohim because
02:19:52 he is but the one asking the question
02:19:56 did not or actually the one who
02:19:59 statement that he was good did not
02:20:01 believe that he was Elohim so he’s like
02:20:04 why do you call me that you don’t think
02:20:06 I’m
02:20:07 Elohim third Nephi
02:20:11 1248 there this is after his this is
02:20:14 after his Ascension and after he’s re
02:20:16 resumed
02:20:18 is uh resumed his
02:20:21 status therefore I would that you should
02:20:23 be perfect even as I or your father who
02:20:25 is in heaven is
02:20:29 perfect lectures on faith
02:20:32 52 and Yeshua is called the son because
02:20:34 of the Flesh and descended in suffering
02:20:38 below that which man can suffer or in
02:20:40 other words suffered greater sufferings
02:20:43 and was exposed to more powerful
02:20:44 contradictions than any man can be but
02:20:47 but notwithstanding all this he kept the
02:20:50 law of God and remained without sin
02:20:53 showing thereby that it is in the power
02:20:58 of man keep the law and remain also
02:21:01 without sin we are commanded to be
02:21:04 perfect we are
02:21:05 commanded to be good
02:21:08 yep
02:21:13 and sorry and not to be So
02:21:16 eventually
02:21:19 we’re commanded to be good
02:21:23 immediately right we can be immediately
02:21:27 upon making the
02:21:28 decision and uh as Nephi brings out in
02:21:32 first Nephi 37 Yahweh doesn’t command
02:21:35 anything unless he prepares a way for us
02:21:37 to do it right exactly so since he
02:21:40 commanded us to keep all
02:21:43 Torah it’s possible to keep all of Torah
02:21:55 B one of the another one of the fruits
02:21:57 of the spirit know therefore that the
02:21:59 Lord thy God he is God the faithful God
02:22:02 which keepeth Covenant Mercy with them
02:22:05 that love him and keep his Commandments
02:22:06 to a thousand
02:22:08 Generations this is an expression of
02:22:11 Faith trust in God with
02:22:15 diligence yep and keeping his
02:22:19 Commandments Psalm 31:23 oh love the
02:22:22 Lord all ye his Saints for the Lord
02:22:25 preserveth the
02:22:27 faithful and plentifully rewardeth the
02:22:30 proud doorer but the Lord
02:22:32 preserveth the
02:22:36 faithful so that’s the faithful are who
02:22:39 are
02:22:45 Justified all that Commandments are
02:22:48 faithful they persecute me wrongfully
02:22:50 help thou
02:22:53 me behold his soul which is lifted up is
02:22:57 not upright in him but the just shall
02:23:00 live by his
02:23:04 faith so that that Soul which is proud
02:23:08 and is lifted up in his own
02:23:12 righteousness his soul is not
02:23:15 upright but those but those Justified
02:23:20 live by yahweh’s
02:23:23 faith well those those proud those
02:23:25 lifted up are making themselves alone to
02:23:29 themselves and they can’t be justified
02:23:32 nor
02:23:33 Sanctified the uh can’t be saved right
02:23:37 because you’re saved
02:23:39 by oh yep and here we go you just you
02:23:44 just set me off okay
02:23:51 Doctrine Covenant section 88 verses 34
02:23:55 and 35 and again verily I say unto you
02:23:58 that which is governed by law by Torah
02:24:03 is also preserved by law or and
02:24:06 perfected and Sanctified by the
02:24:08 same that which breth Torah and abideth
02:24:12 not by Torah but seeketh to
02:24:15 become a law unto itself and will and
02:24:18 willth to abide in sin and altogether
02:24:20 abideth in sin will not keep Torah for
02:24:23 anything cannot be Sanctified by law
02:24:26 neither by
02:24:27 Mercy Justice nor judgment therefore
02:24:31 they must remain filthy still so I I
02:24:34 just want to bring out the reason they
02:24:36 can’t be saved by Mercy is
02:24:39 because Mercy is forgiveness but Yahweh
02:24:42 tells
02:24:44 us more specifically in the book of Mor
02:24:47 but in the rest of the Canon also that
02:24:49 there is a requirement to be forgiven
02:24:51 broken heart contrite spirit which means
02:24:56 repenting keeping repenting returning to
02:24:59 Torah yeah putting your submitting your
02:25:03 mind and will to the mind and will of
02:25:07 Yahweh I have a quick question
02:25:11 yes
02:25:12 um this is kind of a kind of along this
02:25:16 exact um topic here um Let me let me
02:25:20 start my video here um so
02:25:24 in let’s see in second Nei
02:25:28 2523 so you want to go get that up Ben
02:25:31 so we can see
02:25:35 it let’s go book of Mor blue one second
02:25:40 secondi
02:25:43 25
02:25:45 23
02:25:51 yes
02:25:54 um look at
02:25:56 this3 okay so the last the last phrase
02:25:59 after all we can do that would that
02:26:01 would be referring to that more or less
02:26:04 right so all that we can do is come
02:26:07 under Yeshua with a broken heart and
02:26:09 contrite spirit that’s all we can do
02:26:13 okay because that’s um like this is very
02:26:17 basic obviously um basic Doctrine hey
02:26:21 Ben let me have the screen okay but um
02:26:26 sometimes and I feel like I have a grasp
02:26:28 on it most of the time but um I just
02:26:31 kind of I started looking at this a
02:26:33 little bit this week because I listened
02:26:35 to that um I listened to that commentary
02:26:40 talking about the deceptions in the in
02:26:42 the chosen which was great but you know
02:26:45 they threw in those few little Jabs at
02:26:47 the Book of
02:26:48 Mormon yeah well they don’t study the
02:26:51 Book of Mormon so they don’t really
02:26:53 understand
02:26:54 it and actually if you ask them is there
02:26:58 something I need to do to be saved
02:27:01 they’ll tell you
02:27:03 yes they they’ll at least tell you that
02:27:05 you need to accept Yeshua and nothing
02:27:07 else and and if
02:27:09 they’re honest they’ll probably tell you
02:27:12 you need to repent also right yeah yeah
02:27:15 that’s all that we can do in fact even
02:27:17 the Book of Mormon even says that so and
02:27:20 this is
02:27:23 where when you’re trying to make someone
02:27:25 look bad you’ll take things out of
02:27:27 context and you’re not really going to
02:27:28 study it to try to understand it now to
02:27:32 some degree I don’t blame them right
02:27:35 because they have a lot of a bad
02:27:36 examples what Mormons are so why would
02:27:39 they want to right yeah exactly but at
02:27:44 the same time there’s a few of us that
02:27:46 try to educ at them and they just ignore
02:27:48 but let’s look at Elma 2411 that tells
02:27:51 us what all we could do see it even says
02:27:54 that all that we could do that’s all
02:27:56 things you can do it’s the saying is
02:27:58 slightly different you want to read this
02:28:00 one Christie yeah yep and now behold my
02:28:04 brethren since it has been all that we
02:28:06 could do as we were the most lost of all
02:28:10 mankind to repent of all our sins and
02:28:13 the many murders which we have committed
02:28:15 and to get
02:28:17 and to
02:28:18 get God to take them away from our
02:28:21 hearts for it was all we could do to
02:28:24 repent sufficiently before God that he
02:28:26 would take away our stain so there’s
02:28:29 twice fact here’s I just noticed another
02:28:31 one is uh all we can do is repent right
02:28:37 now I I will add to that that uh come
02:28:41 under his covering
02:28:42 too right because to repent and get the
02:28:46 the mercy forgiveness we need to come
02:28:49 under his covering accept that he is the
02:28:51 promised Messiah but in here it tells us
02:28:54 all that we can or could do so
02:28:59 repent and and come under his covering
02:29:02 which
02:29:03 is baptism is a witness that we’ve
02:29:07 repented and promised to keep all his
02:29:10 Commandments which is what repenting is
02:29:13 is to keep all to keep his Commandments
02:29:15 from now here on on out right yes so
02:29:20 that’s all you can
02:29:22 do and if you really ask these uh other
02:29:27 people can we be saved without accepting
02:29:30 Yeshua they’ll tell you no so there is
02:29:33 something that you have to
02:29:35 do but because they don’t like the Book
02:29:39 of Mormon they’ll they’ll twist things
02:29:43 against it even despite the fact that
02:29:45 they they themselves they need to do at
02:29:48 least one thing except the
02:29:51 Messiah and I’m saying that you need to
02:29:53 do two things but when you read the
02:29:55 scriptures it does that too because you
02:29:57 need to endure to the endure to the end
02:30:01 and you can’t do that without keeping
02:30:03 the Commandments and that’s returning to
02:30:05 them which is repenting right
02:30:08 yep so it’s all you all you can do is
02:30:12 repent yeah and so I have more on this
02:30:15 and I and I would
02:30:17 the only thing I might think about
02:30:19 adding to that would be forgive
02:30:23 but
02:30:25 because flip side it’s the flip side of
02:30:28 what we expect it’s a flip side of what
02:30:30 we want from God when we repent we want
02:30:33 forgiveness we need to extend
02:30:38 forgiveness right right and and that’s
02:30:40 uh that is repenting because part of
02:30:42 repenting or keeping the law is
02:30:45 forgiving others right
02:30:47 right you can’t love someone and hold a
02:30:50 grudge against them as going back
02:30:52 to ah I’m having hard time
02:30:56 1917 yeah yeah but you you can’t love
02:30:59 someone and hold a grudge against them
02:31:00 at the same time 1918 okay yeah and so
02:31:04 that me you have to forgive yes I I
02:31:10 agree all right thank you you’re
02:31:13 welcome all right go ahead take a back
02:31:16 thenen
02:31:16 okay and let’s get this thing wrapped up
02:31:22 here okay let’s go back
02:31:26 into
02:31:27 here okay so
02:31:33 meekness and thy majesty and in thy
02:31:35 Majesty R prosperously because truth and
02:31:38 meekness and right because of Truth and
02:31:40 meekness and righteousness and thy right
02:31:43 hand shall teach thee terrible things
02:31:46 that’s an interesting thing that doesn’t
02:31:48 sound like a doormat does it truth and
02:31:51 meekness and righteousness meekness is
02:31:53 resting in Torah it’s living walking
02:31:57 breathing Torah so the world will make
02:32:01 meekness look like a a weak cowardice
02:32:05 person but
02:32:08 to
02:32:10 um to show kindness and not not niceness
02:32:15 as in going off what we learned earlier
02:32:18 today but to show
02:32:21 kindness to those who are being rude
02:32:24 crude mean and what not to you actually
02:32:28 takes a lot of strength it is the weak
02:32:30 person who will give in and do the same
02:32:33 thing
02:32:36 yep and now the man Moses was very Meek
02:32:39 above all the men which were upon the
02:32:41 face of the
02:32:42 Earth and we know that Moses and we know
02:32:45 that Moses kept Torah and lived and
02:32:48 walked and breathed in
02:32:50 it the meek shall eat and be satisfied
02:32:54 oh what a wonderful bit of imagery
02:32:59 there with Torah being the Bread of
02:33:01 Heaven the meek shall eat and be
02:33:04 satisfied they shall praise Yahweh that
02:33:07 that seek Him your heart shall live
02:33:10 forever the meek will he guide in
02:33:14 judgment the meek will he teach his way
02:33:17 so guess what we want to receive great
02:33:21 personal Revelations regarding the
02:33:23 kingdom we need to be meek we need to be
02:33:27 resting in
02:33:32 Torah but the meek shall inherit the
02:33:34 earth and shall Delight themselves in
02:33:36 the abundance of
02:33:38 peace and then Yeshua in the
02:33:42 Beatitudes quoted his ancestor
02:33:45 David blessed are the meat for they
02:33:48 shall inherit the
02:33:52 earth take my yoke upon you and learn of
02:33:56 me for I am
02:33:59 meek and lowly in
02:34:02 heart his heart and mind of course is
02:34:09 Torah we need to learn of him and take
02:34:12 his yoke his heart his mind on
02:34:18 us and then we shall find rest our
02:34:21 souls how isn’t that what all of us want
02:34:24 we want to find rest unto our souls but
02:34:26 we’re not going to do it by uh we’re not
02:34:29 going to be use it we’re not going to do
02:34:31 it by using the name of Yeshua or Jesus
02:34:35 or whatever you want to call him to
02:34:38 justify our
02:34:40 sins no it it’s not u in fact if we’re
02:34:45 trying to do that
02:34:46 we’re actually going to
02:34:48 get
02:34:50 um less happy than we were before
02:34:55 right
02:34:57 yep and Temperance moderation
02:35:01 particularly
02:35:03 particularly particularly habitual
02:35:05 moderation in regard to the Indulgence
02:35:07 of natural appetites and
02:35:11 passions
02:35:12 patience calmness sedateness
02:35:18 and we are actually
02:35:20 commanded to be
02:35:24 still me still and know that I am God I
02:35:27 will be exalted among the Heathen I will
02:35:30 be exalted in the Earth the Lord of
02:35:33 hosts is with us the god of Jacob is our
02:35:38 refuge
02:35:39 sah or amen
02:35:43 as very much similar meaning
02:35:46 there but know that the Lord has set
02:35:49 himself apart ha set apart him that is
02:35:51 Godly for
02:35:56 himself the Lord will hear when I call
02:35:58 onto him stand in
02:36:01 a and sin
02:36:05 not commune with your own heart upon
02:36:08 your bed and be
02:36:12 still receive the will of the Lord
02:36:18 write it upon your heart this is my
02:36:21 continual
02:36:23 plea that we look into
02:36:27 ourselves we see where our heart and our
02:36:32 mind are not in alignment the heart and
02:36:35 mind of yeh has given to us in
02:36:38 scriptures that we
02:36:41 repent that we seek not to justify our
02:36:44 own iniquities
02:36:47 but that we seek to exalt only the
02:36:51 Lord for the Lord will exalt those who
02:36:54 are
02:37:00 Godly I leave that he will
02:37:03 abase the proudful and wicked right yep
02:37:07 and he will abase the prideful and
02:37:08 wicked who seek to use his name to stand
02:37:14 to to stand in their sin as if it was
02:37:17 holy such are liars and hypocrites and
02:37:21 you need not take teaching from
02:37:29 them you need to pick a good teacher
02:37:32 just as second Epi 28:14 brings out
02:37:35 right one who will actually obey abide
02:37:38 by the word and
02:37:42 practice the spirit live the fruits of
02:37:45 the spirit live the Commandments of God
02:37:49 Walk in the newness of the
02:37:56 spirit and we should seek to do so
02:38:01 ourselves one rule one law for for
02:38:07 yasharel and for the stranger that is
02:38:09 within her
02:38:13 Gates I’ll leave this message with you
02:38:16 in the name of Yeshua
02:38:18 hamashia amen amen okay I’m going to
02:38:23 pause
