Summary:

Expounding the Parable of the Talents with some new insights. The talents are about our life’s works. The number of talents is using symbolism. Five deals with grace. Grace to grace is justification to sanctification. Sanctification is celestial glory. We are Justified and Sanctified by law. Two is symbolic of the Son which is what terrestrial will receive. One is symbolic of God, which the Sons of Perdition are removed from and sent to hell. Sons of Perdition do not know the character of God. A talent is sufficient for a man to have a good life, which thus points to the works we do with our life. Ability goes with work. Yeshua left us to mortality. Five talents goes with celestial glory. Trade goes with how we do things with others and buying milk and honey without price. Yeshua taught if we don’t do, you won’t know. Trading actions for knowledge of Yeshua and His ways. When you hope for something you do things for it. Callings in the church are voted on by the members. Callings from YHWH are given by His own voice. Right hand deals with power. Anchor is to hold us in place in the water which represents people and their false teachings. Torah tells us what is good and bad. People go against YHWH’s way because they are deceived or are sons of Perdition. Be careful how you judge others. Don’t wait to be told what commandments to keep or what to do, which is a slothful servant. Servant with give talents is an example of justification to sanctification. Two goes with those who received the Son. If you only follow a prophet you will receive telestial glory. World means system. The gospel and Torah are about becoming. The sons of Perdition put the talent in Satan’s domain. Losing the one shows they are not in God’s Kingdom at all. Long time deals with the Second Coming. Moses on the mount is a type of the second coming. Salvation is a free gift period, then we are rewarded based upon our works. I’m not allergic to word DO, as some people are. These judgements will be happening during judgement day. Scattered means to sow. Yeshua is repeating ideas in a chiasmus. Sons of Perditions don’t that Yeshua has given His gospel to all people, which is contrary to the scriptures. Baptism of the dead is wrong because YHWH’s word shows everyone will be taught the gospel before they die. Modern Mighty and Strong One will be a missionary. Declare means to make clear, which goes with a prophecy of the Mighty and Strong One. Plain is an idiom for Torah. Angel means messenger. Wings are a symbol of power. Sons of Perdition are afraid of judgement. Sons of Perdition did things for Satan instead of Yeshua. Sons of Perdition will not have eternal life. Sons of Perdition think YHWH only takes things away. Yeshua gave credit where is due. Referencing can be about getting truth from authority, instead of truth for authority. Yeshua is calling the sons of Perdition liars. Charging too much interest is against Torah. Usury can mean interest. Obtained goes along with doing work. Sons of Perdition get stoned in hell forever. Parables don’t teach everything. Some of those who receive celestial glory will serve those receive telestial glory.

00:00:07 sum
00:00:10 um there there’s various we have we have
00:00:13 talked about this we have talked about
00:00:14 the parable of the talents before in
00:00:17 relation to The Three Degrees Of Glory
00:00:19 but we’ve had some we’ve had some
00:00:22 insights recently that um we’d like to
00:00:25 share yes um so with that and mind Zack
00:00:31 will you
00:00:33 read uh verse 14 for us
00:00:39 please what is
00:00:41 like or it is like as a man traveling
00:00:44 into a far country who called his own
00:00:47 servants and delivered unto them his
00:00:52 Goods okay so this is talking about what
00:00:57 this Parable is to be likened onto
00:01:00 or um aka the Kingdom of Heaven is to be
00:01:03 likened unto okay yes the it is a the it
00:01:09 is a throwback to the kingdom of heaven
00:01:11 that is shared in the first P parable of
00:01:13 the chapter yes uh so it’s a a little
00:01:18 confusing without additional
00:01:20 context but with the additional context
00:01:23 it’s um not hard to understand right
00:01:28 right um but
00:01:31 also
00:01:33 um as we’re just about to talk about
00:01:35 talents a little bit I do want to say
00:01:38 this about talents is that there’s a lot
00:01:41 of discussion what the talents can
00:01:45 be I do believe and I do believe we’ll
00:01:49 show this as we go through it is our
00:01:52 life’s
00:01:53 work okay yes also the focus tends to be
00:01:58 placed on what the talent is as opposed
00:02:01 to the numbers that are associated with
00:02:04 the
00:02:06 talents right uh and I think uh as Ben’s
00:02:09 bringing up the numbers um the numbers
00:02:13 give support that it’s about our life
00:02:16 work um and so we we’ll get into the
00:02:20 more details as we do that as we look at
00:02:23 each of the three groups that’s in here
00:02:27 um so uh I will read verse F
00:02:34 15 and unto one he gave five
00:02:39 talents and to another two and to
00:02:42 another one every man according to his
00:02:45 ability and straight went on his journey
00:02:50 so uh let’s look at the symbolic numbers
00:02:54 real quick okay yes so
00:02:57 five has to do
00:03:00 with
00:03:01 Grace
00:03:03 okay now it gets interesting as we think
00:03:06 about this uh later in the
00:03:09 parable he the one that got
00:03:14 five or is living grace because he’s
00:03:19 that’s his life what he did with his
00:03:22 life got another five so that would go
00:03:25 along with Grace to Grace or
00:03:28 sanctification
00:03:30 yes uh justification and
00:03:33 sanctification uh yes it so the first
00:03:35 Grace is justification and the second is
00:03:39 sanctification Grace to Grace and so and
00:03:44 in other words I I would say it’s more
00:03:47 Mercy to Grace and Mercy’s
00:03:51 justification and Grace is
00:03:53 sanctification but justification SL
00:03:56 Mercy is part of Grace
00:04:00 well and you know that’s that’s always
00:04:02 one of the
00:04:04 things that well always one of the
00:04:06 things that I like to point out is that
00:04:08 Mercy is the beginning of Grace yes and
00:04:13 that that’s a great way of putting it
00:04:15 right it it’s the it’s the beginning of
00:04:17 Grace it’s the first part but it is not
00:04:21 the abundance of Grace that gets shown
00:04:23 on those who do their who do who do the
00:04:28 Lord’s will
00:04:31 so this goes along with uh I always
00:04:35 forget DNC 888 or
00:04:37 84 uh which I’ll give a link that goes
00:04:39 into it but um how uh we need to keep
00:04:45 the
00:04:45 law it’s the law that justifies us which
00:04:50 is the first Grace slash what I would
00:04:53 prefer to call
00:04:54 Mercy which then leads to the second
00:04:57 grace which another word for
00:05:00 is sanctification now there now that now
00:05:03 the law justifies in two
00:05:08 ways in the beginning was the word and
00:05:12 the Word was with God and the Word was
00:05:17 God the law is the revelation of God’s
00:05:21 mind and will and it is God who
00:05:24 justifies
00:05:26 us right
00:05:30 so uh let’s look at the number two now
00:05:33 another one is two so one of the
00:05:34 symbolic meanings for two is the sun oh
00:05:38 first of all uh in case I didn’t say it
00:05:40 the five goes with Celestial Glory okay
00:05:46 yes because Grace to Grace is
00:05:48 sanctification which is uh receiving
00:05:51 Celestial Glory there’s lots of names
00:05:53 for it two uh has to do with the
00:05:57 sun okay
00:06:00 and so here they’re working on wanting
00:06:03 to believe in the
00:06:06 Sun but not fully and so that’s what
00:06:09 they get to see they get to see the son
00:06:11 and not the father’s Glory which would
00:06:13 be which you need sanctification to get
00:06:16 that right which means that they’re not
00:06:18 shut out from the presence of of their
00:06:22 lord of
00:06:25 Yu well of Yeshua the the the they’re
00:06:30 not shut out from the presence of Yeshua
00:06:31 who is y
00:06:33 El uh but a lesser Glory right right
00:06:37 they they won’t see his glory right but
00:06:40 they’re not shut out from his presence
00:06:42 correct so they enter into the joy of
00:06:46 their after a manner of speaking because
00:06:48 that’s one of the words that’s used in
00:06:50 here enter into the joy of thy Lord even
00:06:53 both five and two um and that’s fine
00:06:56 they they will be happy even so this rep
00:06:59 represents the turral glory the number
00:07:03 two um now we don’t have one represents
00:07:07 the
00:07:07 testeral for whatever reason it skips
00:07:10 onto the sons of preditions the one who
00:07:13 gets one and then gets taken away so the
00:07:17 symbolic meaning of one is
00:07:21 God so they know that God is God but
00:07:26 you’ll see as we go down they don’t know
00:07:30 who God is in any form or fashion they
00:07:33 have made no effort to understand who he
00:07:35 is correct and you’ll see that in this
00:07:38 Parable and how they’re kicked out of
00:07:41 the kingdom and then specifically
00:07:43 they’re going
00:07:45 to nailing and nashing of teeth in fact
00:07:50 these people speak of the Injustice of
00:07:53 God and the
00:07:56 uh they they malign God with all of
00:07:59 their own weaknesses right so I I’ll
00:08:02 tell you I I’m not sure why it skips
00:08:06 from tural to Sons of
00:08:10 preditions um I don’t know but when you
00:08:13 read the descriptions and the meanings
00:08:15 of the
00:08:16 numbers it’s kind of evident and another
00:08:18 thing to keep in mind is how a
00:08:22 talent is sufficient
00:08:27 to uh have have a man live a good life
00:08:31 for his whole life right yes and so this
00:08:35 is pointing to how these are the works
00:08:38 that we do with our lives
00:08:41 yes so uh with that um in fact this even
00:08:47 goes according to his ability or as in
00:08:49 his work right right and I do think that
00:08:54 that is uh you know it’s important to
00:08:57 understand that correctly because
00:08:59 otherwise you get to this idea otherwise
00:09:03 you could look at this as an example you
00:09:05 could you could look at this as an
00:09:07 example of the calvinist doctrine of
00:09:11 predestination but um that’s not what
00:09:14 he’s talking
00:09:15 about well how about we do this let’s go
00:09:18 look at the 1828 dictionary on ability
00:09:21 for yeah let’s do that
00:09:24 let’s let’s see uh that
00:09:28 one sure now he it is true that God knew
00:09:34 beforehand uh who would come to
00:09:38 him oh yeah God knows what everybody’s
00:09:41 going to do beforehand but he lets
00:09:44 everybody do it on their own he didn’t
00:09:47 uh that his knowledge does not take away
00:09:51 our
00:09:52 choice
00:09:55 correct so um interesting enough
00:10:00 um oh Zach how about let’s just read
00:10:02 through all of them you want to read the
00:10:04 definition one
00:10:08 first
00:10:10 yeah one physical
00:10:12 power whether bodily or mental natural
00:10:16 or
00:10:17 acquired force of understanding skill in
00:10:20 arts or science ability is active power
00:10:24 or power to perform as opposed to
00:10:27 capacity or power to receive
00:10:30 and the plural abilities is much used in
00:10:35 a like sense and also forc faculties of
00:10:38 the mind and acquired
00:10:40 qualifications so to me physical power
00:10:44 bodily or M mental this sounds a lot
00:10:47 like uh physical work and mental
00:10:50 thoughts which we are judged upon right
00:10:55 right so let’s you have to actually read
00:10:58 a lot into to that to actually to get to
00:11:01 this to get to you you have to kind of
00:11:05 read a lot into that to get to this to
00:11:07 get to the idea that
00:11:13 um that it’s anything other than
00:11:16 just your ability to act your ability to
00:11:20 uh it’s physical power mental mental
00:11:24 acuity sure sure um so Zach let’s read
00:11:28 number two
00:11:30 riches wealth substance which are the
00:11:33 means or which furnish the power of
00:11:36 doing certain acts so uh that goes along
00:11:39 with it being our acts in addition with
00:11:41 it being along with the talents or
00:11:44 riches wealth right so I think that’s
00:11:47 tying the two together which I am
00:11:49 symbolically
00:11:51 anyways um Zach let’s read number three
00:11:55 moral power depending on the will
00:11:59 a metaphysical and Theological
00:12:02 sense so that’s moral that’s the ability
00:12:06 to make the right choice right which
00:12:09 everybody does which goes along with
00:12:12 what I’m saying the the talent
00:12:14 represents are our works in Life or the
00:12:17 choices that we make right moral power
00:12:20 moral power power is an active thing so
00:12:24 it’s all about Works moral works
00:12:29 so uh Zach read four civil or legal
00:12:33 power the power or right to do certain
00:12:36 things as an ability to transfer
00:12:39 property or dispose of effects ability
00:12:42 to inherit but as opposed to disability
00:12:46 so this also goes along with um how uh
00:12:50 this Parable is about what they do with
00:12:53 what they’re given right so yeah and so
00:12:56 if there is a if there’s one word that
00:12:59 is consistent throughout all of these
00:13:02 definitions the word is
00:13:05 power so that points to the ability and
00:13:08 power or the active uh the
00:13:11 the active Force that’s what power is is
00:13:16 active Force for sure your Works yep yep
00:13:20 so the connection is clear oh yeah yeah
00:13:24 um I love the 1820
00:13:26 dictionary if nothing else it reminds
00:13:29 just what words are mean that we may
00:13:31 have forgotten right it helps gives
00:13:33 insights so and and it actually right
00:13:36 here it actually draws that very much
00:13:39 very much that correct that direct beine
00:13:42 between ability and power right and then
00:13:46 so when we’re talking about so when the
00:13:49 script so oftentimes in the scriptures
00:13:51 when it talks about
00:13:53 power um you can try putting ability in
00:13:56 and see if that’s actually see if that
00:13:59 helps you understand it sure and now on
00:14:01 this last little um phrase and straight
00:14:05 way took on his journey he left us now
00:14:09 doesn’t that not sound like
00:14:12 mortality he gave
00:14:14 us our SK our
00:14:17 skills I don’t know if he left us we
00:14:19 came
00:14:20 here well he sent us here so anyways
00:14:23 depending how you want to look at it
00:14:25 we’re here

00:14:29 El Le and we’re not with him physically
00:14:32 right right yes yes so like we were with
00:14:35 him before we came here and right now
00:14:37 we’re not with him right now we’re bere
00:14:39 of his presence being subject to both uh
00:14:44 physical and spiritual death unless we
00:14:47 repent right right and so I think that
00:14:49 helps give some Credence to this is
00:14:51 about mortality right and what we do
00:14:54 with it so uh let’s go to the next verse

00:15:42 okay let’s do that and then we’ll do
00:15:43 what I was thinking yeah because I I
00:15:46 think that’ be really I think that might
00:15:48 turn in that might that might be an
00:15:50 interesting thing to look into just to
00:15:52 get the
00:15:55 idea um
00:15:57 of that he’s actually working with what
00:16:01 that he’s actually working with what he
00:16:02 was
00:16:03 given to
00:16:05 increase sure uh you want to read this

00:16:13 business of exchanging Commodities by
00:16:16 barter or the business of buying and
00:16:18 selling for money Commerce traffic
00:16:21 barter trade trade trade comprehends
00:16:25 every species of exchange or dealing
00:16:28 either in the produce of land in
00:16:31 manufacturers in bills or money I can’t
00:16:34 read anymore sorry is however chiefly
00:16:38 used to denote the barter or purchase
00:16:40 and sale of goods wees and merchandise
00:16:43 whether by wholesale or retail trade is
00:16:46 either foreign or domestic or in land
00:16:49 foreign trade consists in the
00:16:52 exportation and importation of goods and
00:16:54 the exchange of Commodities of different
00:16:56 countries domestic or home trade is the
00:16:59 exchange or buying and selling of goods
00:17:01 within a country trade is also by the
00:17:04 wholesale that is by the package or
00:17:06 enlarge quantities or it is by retail or
00:17:09 in small Parcels this carrying trade the
00:17:12 carrying trade is that of transporting
00:17:14 Commodities from one country to another
00:17:16 by water so but the main point here
00:17:19 that’s readily
00:17:22 apparent is that you
00:17:25 are is that um what this
00:17:29 brings to mind to me a scripture from
00:17:30 Isaiah come by from
00:17:34 me um do you remember the verse and we
00:17:38 can go read it I don’t remember the
00:17:40 verse I okay so maybe should we pause
00:17:43 and we can see if you can think of it
00:17:45 yeah let’s let’s I do
00:17:51 I okay so it wasn’t exactly Isaiah it
00:17:54 was in second Nephi and Nephi’s
00:17:57 commentary on Isaiah
00:18:00 um second Nei 26 just so people know
00:18:03 yeah second Nephi
00:18:05 2625 and it is this behold and he says
00:18:08 this in verse in verse 25 he says behold
00:18:11 do he cry unto any saying depart from me
00:18:14 behold I say unto you nay but he saith
00:18:17 come unto me all ye ends of the Earth by
00:18:20 milk and honey without money and without
00:18:25 price so this is this is still
00:18:29 this is the kind of trading that they’re
00:18:31 talking about when they talk about the
00:18:33 five when he talks about taking his five
00:18:36 talents and
00:18:38 trading okay so let me say something
00:18:41 that I think will make what you’re
00:18:42 trying to say more obvious is that okay
00:18:45 okay yeah that’s
00:18:46 fine okay so come get Commandments and
00:18:52 Torah with your
00:18:54 actions
00:18:57 yes that’s what going on there so come
00:19:01 do what I say and learn of me Torah Who
00:19:05 I Am by doing your actions because
00:19:08 Yeshua said unless you act or
00:19:13 do my saying you won’t know if they’re
00:19:16 true or not you need to
00:19:20 do is that is so maybe now you can say
00:19:23 what you’re saying because I think
00:19:24 that’ll help it connect more right so so
00:19:29 there it is this is this is the trade
00:19:31 that the guy with the five and the guy
00:19:33 with the two are actually doing is that
00:19:35 they are
00:19:38 trading
00:19:42 actions for greater knowledge of God and
00:19:46 a
00:19:47 greater they gaining a greater knowledge
00:19:49 of God through their actions uh because
00:19:53 as Yeshua
00:19:55 says if you don’t I mean paraphrasing of
00:19:58 course this is a ma from Matthew chapter
00:20:01 7 if you don’t keep Tori you don’t know
00:20:04 him
00:20:07 correct um
00:20:10 so also uh I I I want to bring something
00:20:13 else up in and it has to do with the
00:20:16 actions the the definitions we read all
00:20:19 had to do with acting in particular with
00:20:22 others but the big thing of action but I
00:20:25 want to bring out ether 12 yes oops

00:21:07 there are some things Yahweh has to tell
00:21:09 you to do but the one thing you can do
00:21:11 is keep Torah everybody’s commanded to
00:21:14 do that um but
00:21:18 to try to take Upon A calling you are
00:21:22 not to do that so callings in the
00:21:24 church are voted on by the people
00:21:28 period and we can get at that if we want
00:21:31 to Sidetrack on that the prophets are
00:21:34 calling from Yahweh so you can’t just
00:21:37 take on a
00:21:39 calling what happens is you do things um
00:21:43 and
00:21:44 people either
00:21:46 Yahweh or the members of the church will
00:21:49 give you a calling when they see you
00:21:51 have the attributes for that calling
00:21:54 right MC priesthood is given by y’s
00:21:57 voice the full mesic priesthood so there

00:22:04 a little different so and you don’t have
00:22:07 to have the full mil kazic priesthood to
00:22:08 have an office in it so I just want to
00:22:10 make that clear there but

00:22:18 is um those with hope and desire are
00:22:21 going to go doe right so here let me
00:22:23 read it wherefore whosoever believeth in
00:22:26 Elohim might with shy

00:22:36 Elohim
00:22:38 so that means having the that means
00:22:42 having yeah having the power of
00:22:46 Yahweh even a place where you’re having
00:22:49 the power of Elohim for like if nothing
00:22:52 else protecting it like in Zion that’s
00:22:56 going to be coming soon right yes uh so
00:23:01 anyways we’ll leave that at that cuz
00:23:02 that’s a whole another subject anyways
00:23:04 which hope and desire cometh of trust
00:23:09 Faith which is trust in
00:23:12 diligence so you’re trusting in the
00:23:14 promises and you’re acting on the
00:23:16 Promises which is being talked about
00:23:18 right here maketh an anchor to The Souls
00:23:22 of men meaning now an anchor an anchor
00:23:25 is an anchor was often used at sea to um
00:23:30 keep ships from foundering in storms and
00:23:33 to hold them in place correct and it’s
00:23:35 interesting with that aspect the anchor
00:23:38 is to keep you solid in one place and
00:23:41 with it being in the sea the sea
00:23:43 represents the world and their false
00:23:47 teachings so although you’re in the
00:23:50 world you’re not of the
00:23:54 world right yeah so it’s beautiful how
00:23:58 they’re putting these things together
00:24:00 anyways which would make them sure and
00:24:03 steadfast oh look that Hope and Faith
00:24:08 makes them so they aren’t being tossed
00:24:11 and turned by every wind of
00:24:14 Doctrine which reminds me of Shadrach
00:24:17 Meek and
00:24:19 Abednego we have no doubt that our God
00:24:22 is able to deliver us but but if
00:24:27 not will still do what is right yep and
00:24:32 there’s a lot of that that history and
00:24:36 the way it’s told does point to the
00:24:38 second coming
00:24:40 right anyways uh always abounding in
00:24:44 good works which goes along with
00:24:48 diligence with the faith right how do we
00:24:51 how do we know what are good
00:24:56 works uh so what how we know what is
00:24:58 good and what is bad is by yahweh’s
00:25:01 Torah exact that that’s what I’m getting
00:25:04 at right there yeah yeah so they’re
00:25:06 always doing things according to
00:25:09 Torah AKA yahweh’s
00:25:12 law being and being led to glorify
00:25:16 Elohim so they’re saying this is coming
00:25:20 from
00:25:21 Yahweh right yep I’m doing this because
00:25:24 of his promises he’s the one that’s
00:25:27 making it
00:25:29 happened he’s the one that taught it to
00:25:31 me so on and so forth right so why so
00:25:34 why do people think that they can Trash
00:25:36 the mind and will of God and say that
00:25:39 they’re doing anything to God’s
00:25:43 glory um so this will have to
00:25:46 be person by
00:25:49 person one could be because they’re
00:25:52 deceived and so there’s a verse for this
00:25:55 that I like second Nephi 284
00:26:01 okay so I’ll read it they wear stiff
00:26:05 necks and high head J because of pride
00:26:07 of wickedness and Abomination and
00:26:08 whoredoms they have all gone astray save
00:26:11 a
00:26:13 few who are The Humble followers of the
00:26:16 Messiah nevertheless they are LED these
00:26:20 humble followers are LED in many
00:26:22 instances to do sin right oh oh sorry
00:26:26 air but that sin because they are taught
00:26:30 by the precepts of
00:26:32 men right and so so that is one very
00:26:35 valid reason why somebody can why why
00:26:39 why a person can tra can get their head
00:26:42 around trashing Torah and still believe
00:26:44 that they’re doing things to the glory
00:26:45 of God right so that’s one reason
00:26:47 another reason is because they’re sons
00:26:49 of preditions right and they know what
00:26:52 they’re
00:26:54 doing and they’re trying to deceive
00:26:58 others yeah right right and that is a
00:27:03 dependent entirely on a person byerson
00:27:05 basis and you may uh you need to know
00:27:09 people before you make a judgment call
00:27:11 yeah and this is where you need multiple
00:27:15 instances and kind of and see how they
00:27:18 defend it and try to get a good feeling
00:27:21 of their motive
00:27:23 so it it be careful is what
