Alma 11:45 and Lectures on Faith 5:2 regarding personage of spirit

Lectures on Faith 5:2 there is a phrase that confuses people, it did me at first also, “The Father being a personage of spirit, glory and power: possessing all perfection and fulness”, namely “personage of spirit”.

First scripture that helped me with this was 1 Corinthians 15:44 where Paul is talking about the resurrection.

1 Corinthians 15:44 It is sown a natural body; IT IS RAISED A SPIRTUAL BODY. There is a natural body, and there is a SPIRITUAL BODY.

A few other verses help out with this idea in this chapter also, as the idea of spiritual is brought out some.

1 Corinthians 15
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

Today while searching the scriptures regarding the resurrection I came across another scripture in the Book of Mormon that teaches the same thing, Alma 11:45.

Alma 11:45 Now, behold, I have spoken unto you concerning the death of the mortal body, and also concerning the resurrection of the mortal body. I say unto you that this mortal body is raised to an immortal body, that is from death, even from the first death unto life, that they can die no more; their spirits uniting with their bodies, never to be divided; THUS THE WHOLE BECOMING SPIRITUAL AND IMMORTAL, that they can no more see corruption.

Notice in Alma 11:45 when talking about the resurrection, after our spirit and body are reunited that it becomes SPIRITUAL? I never caught that in this verse before.

So the Book of Mormon and the Bible both teach the same unfamiliar doctrine of a spiritual immortal body.
