AA 1 Hearken,
A-B O ye people of My [YHWH] church,
A–C saith the voice of Him [YHWH] who dwells on high,
A—D and Whose [YHWH] eyes are upon all men;
A–C yea, verily I [YHWH] say:
A-BA Hearken ye people from afar;
A-BB and ye that are upon the islands of the sea,
AA listen together.
-BA 2 For verily the voice of the Lord [YHWH] is unto all men,
-B-BA and there is none to escape;
-B-BB and there is no eye that shall not see,
-B-BC neither ear that shall not hear,
-BA neither heart that shall not be penetrated.
–CAA 3 And the rebellious shall be pierced with much sorrow;
–CAB for their iniquities shall be spoken upon the housetops,
–CAC and their secret acts shall be revealed.
–C-BA 4 And the voice of warning shall be unto all people,
–C-BB by the mouths of my disciples,
–C-BC whom I have chosen in these last days.
–C–CA 5 And they shall go forth and none shall [stop] stay them,
–C–CB for I the Lord [YHWH] have commanded them.
–C—DAA 6 Behold, this is Mine [YHWH] authority,
–C—DAB and the authority of My [YHWH] servants,
–C—DBA and My [YHWH] preface unto the book
–C—DBB of My [YHWH] commandments,
–C—DCA which I [YHWH] have given them to publish unto you,
–C—DCB O inhabitants of the earth.
–C–CA 7 Wherefore, fear and tremble,
–C–C-B O ye people,
–C–C-B for what I the Lord [YHWH]
–C–CA have decreed in them shall be fulfilled.
–C-BAA 8 And verily I [YHWH] say unto you,
–C-BAB that they who go forth,
–C-B bearing these tidings unto the inhabitants of the earth,
–C-BAA to them is power given to seal both on earth and in heaven,
–C-BAB the unbelieving and rebellious;
–CAA 9 Yea, verily, to seal them
–CAB up unto the day when the wrath of God [Elohim]
–CAC shall be poured out upon the wicked without measure—
—DA 10 Unto the day when the Lord [YHWH] shall come to recompense
—D-B unto every man according to his work,
—D-B and measure to every man according
—DA to the measure which he has measured to his fellow man.
—-EA 11 Wherefore the voice of the Lord [YHWH]
—-E-B is unto the ends of the earth,
—-E–C that all that will hear may hear:
—-E–C 12 Prepare ye, prepare ye
—-E-B for that which is to come,
—-EA for the Lord [YHWH] is nigh;
—–FAA 13 And the anger of the Lord [YHWH] is kindled,
—–FA-B and His [YHWH] sword is bathed in heaven,
—–FA-B and it shall fall upon the inhabitants of the earth.
—–FAA 14 And the arm of the Lord [YHWH] shall be revealed;
—–F-BA and the day cometh that they who will not hear the voice of the Lord [YHWH],
—–F-BB neither the voice of His [YHWH] servants,
—–F-BC neither give heed to the words of the prophets and apostles,
—–FA shall be cut off from among the people;
——GA 15 For they have strayed from mine ordinances [laws / Torah],
——GB and have broken mine everlasting covenant [Torah];
——-HA 16 They seek not the Lord [YHWH]
——-H-B to establish His [YHWH] righteousness,
——-H–C but every man walketh in his own way,
——-H—D and after the image of his own god,
——-H—D whose image is in the likeness of the world,
——-H–C and whose substance is that of an idol,
——-H-BA which waxeth old and shall perish in Babylon,
——-H-BB even Babylon the great,
——-HA which shall fall.
——–IAAA 17 Wherefore, I the Lord [YHWH],
——–IAAB knowing the calamity
——–IAAC which should come upon the inhabitants of the earth,
——–IA-B called upon My [YHWH] servant Joseph Smith, Jun.,
——–IA-B and spake unto him from heaven,
——–IAA and gave him [Joseph] commandments;
——–IBA 18 And also gave commandments to others,
——–IB-B that they should proclaim these things
——–IB–C unto the world;
——–IB-B and all this that it might be fulfilled,
——–IBA which was written by the prophets—
——-HA 19 The weak things of the world
——-H-BA shall come forth and break down
——-H-BB the mighty and strong ones,
——-H–C that man should not counsel his fellow man,
——-H—D neither trust in the arm of flesh—
——-H–C 20 But that every man might speak
——-H-B in the name of God [Elohim] the Lord [YHWH],
——-HA EVEN the Savior of the world;
——GA 21 That faith [trust & diligence] also might increase in the earth;
——GB 22 That mine everlasting covenant [Torah] might be established;
—–FA 23 That the fulness [sanctification] of My [YHWH] gospel might be proclaimed
—–F-B by the weak and the simple
—–FAA unto the ends of the world,
—–FAB and before kings and rulers.
—-EA 24 Behold, I am God [Elohim] and have spoken it;
—-E-B these commandments are of Me [YHWH],
—-E–C and were given unto my servants in their weakness,
—-E-B after the manner of their language,
—-EA that they might come to understanding.
—DAA 25 And inasmuch as they erred
—DAB it might be made known;
—D-BA 26 And inasmuch as they sought wisdom
—D-BB they might be instructed;
—D-BA 27 And inasmuch as they sinned they might be chastened,
—D-BB that they might repent;
—DAA 28 And inasmuch as they were humble
—DA-B they might be made strong,
—DA-B and blessed from on high,
—DAA and receive knowledge from time to time.
–CAA 29 And after having received the record of the Nephites,
–CA-B yea, even my servant Joseph Smith, Jun.,
–CA–C might have power to translate
–CA–C through the mercy of God [Elohim],
–CA-B by the power of God [Elohim],
–CAA the Book of Mormon.
–C-BA 30 And also those to whom these commandments were given,
–C-B-B might have power to lay the foundation of this church,
–C-B–C and to bring it forth out of obscurity and out of darkness,
–C-B–C the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth,
–C-B-B with which I, the Lord [YHWH], am well pleased,
–C-BA speaking unto the church collectively and not individually—
–C–CAA 31 For I the Lord [YHWH] cannot look upon sin
–C–CAB with the least degree of allowance;
–C–C-BAA 32 Nevertheless, he that repents
–C–C-BAB and does the commandments of the Lord [YHWH]
–C–C-BAC shall be forgiven;
–C–C-BBA 33 And he that repents not,
–C–C-BBB from him shall be taken even the light
–C–C-BBC which he has received;
–C–CAA for my Spirit shall not always strive with man,
–C–CAB saith the Lord [YHWH] of Hosts.
–C—DA 34 And again,
–C—D-B verily I [YHWH] say unto you,
–C—D–C O inhabitants of the earth:
–C—D-B I the Lord [YHWH] am willing
–C—DA to make these things known unto all flesh;
–C–CAA 35 For I [YHWH] am no respecter of persons,
–C–CAB and will that all men shall know that the day speedily cometh;
–C–CAC the hour is not yet,
–C–CBA but is nigh at hand,
–C–CBB when peace shall be taken from the earth,
–C–CBC and the devil shall have power over his own dominion.
–C-BA 36 And also the Lord [YHWH] shall have power over His [YHWH] saints,
–C-BB and shall reign in their midst,
–C-BC and shall come down in judgment upon Idumea, or the world.
–CAA 37 Search these commandments,
–CA-B for they are true and faithful,
–CA-B and the prophecies and promises which are in them
–CAA shall all be fulfilled.
-BA 38 What I the Lord [YHWH] have spoken,
-B-B I [YHWH] have spoken,
-B–C and I excuse not Myself [YHWH];
-B—D and though the heavens and the earth pass away,
-B—-E My [YHWH] word shall not pass away,
-B—D but shall all be fulfilled,
-B–C whether by Mine [YHWH] own voice
-B-B or by the voice of My [YHWH] servants,
-BA it is the same.
AA 39 For behold, and lo, the Lord [YHWH] is God [Elohim],
A-B and the Spirit beareth record,
A-B and the record is true,
AA and the truth abideth forever and ever. Amen.
