00:00:30 was the best reading of Ruth that I’ve
00:00:33 done and I’ve ever heard also but I’m
00:00:36 like I said I might be biased um but
00:00:39 anyways I think before we read uh
00:00:42 chapters three and four that it would be
00:00:44 good to do a little summary uh Ben has a
00:00:47 few things he wants to say on that and
00:00:48 some of us may add a little bit more

00:01:01 the we have Ruth her husband’s name is
00:01:04 her husband’s name is elimelech

00:01:18 which means king of righteousness or
00:01:22 something to that effect yeah king of
00:01:23 righteousness and so we have the so we
00:01:26 have Naomi uh which means Pleasant
00:01:31 uh married to the king of righteousness

00:01:36 Yahweh and his church well yeah so Naomi
00:01:40 is the ancient church right
00:01:44 yep and so and he has two sons Madeleine
00:01:48 and Killen and
00:01:51 um they’re they both married dot they
00:01:53 both marry women of the they both marry

00:01:59 Gentiles pagans
00:02:02 also I would say that these two sons
00:02:04 represent the two kingdoms the northern
00:02:06 and the southern yes yes the two sons
00:02:09 are the two kingdoms northern and
00:02:11 southern they marry Ruth Ruth means

00:02:16 and the other one is orpha which
00:02:22 I don’t remember what it means but I
00:02:25 don’t remember what it means but uh what
00:02:27 she ends up doing is going back to the
00:02:29 Pagan ways right and I do remember the
00:02:31 name someone implying that but I don’t
00:02:33 remember what her name meant exactly
00:02:36 um yeah but the so the so the point is
00:02:39 is Ruth
00:02:41 is a friend
00:02:44 to the pleasant to the pleasant fruit
00:02:47 right and we want to be called friends
00:02:49 from Yeshua right yes and he calls his

00:02:59 after uh elimelech dies and the two sons

00:03:06 um her Pagan ways right and in fact one
00:03:09 thing that’s interesting as you
00:03:11 mentioned before I’m just saying right

00:03:15 um the ancient Church much like Judas
00:03:18 guess whoa just before he betrayed him
00:03:20 and left them right but yes exactly

00:04:23 and so she becomes Hebrew literally she
00:04:28 crosses over right that’s what Hebrew
00:04:30 means is crossover we’re all meant to

00:04:35 this is what it means to become the
00:04:37 bride of Christ is to cross over
00:04:41 yes to leave behind the Gentile
00:04:45 or Pagan ways right either way
00:04:48 um I mean all throughout the Old
00:04:50 Testament knock
00:04:53 and Torah specifically
00:04:55 we hear Yahweh is stating stop doing
00:04:57 things as the pagans right right
00:05:01 the the basic idea is to leave behind
00:05:04 the Gentile and the pagan
00:05:07 and become a huge creature maybe to
00:05:10 become a new creature the thing is is
00:05:11 we’re always becoming the question we
00:05:13 have to ask ourselves is what are we
00:05:14 becoming
00:05:15 no
00:05:16 and so this is what this is what the
00:05:19 story of Ruth is about it’s about Ruth
00:05:21 becoming
00:05:23 the bride of Christ and how we become
00:05:26 the bride of Christ in fact in Chapter 2
00:05:29 she finds Boaz right who represents the
00:05:34 Messiah yes Boaz is the officer of the
00:05:37 Covenant he is the messiah
00:05:40 yeah
00:05:41 um and so
00:05:43 and and Ruth
00:05:47 is at that place that we’re at right now
00:05:50 having to glean The Leftovers of the
00:05:52 field
00:05:54 yep and if we do so and follow and live
00:05:58 by that which we glean then the Lord
00:06:01 then what happens is that we gain favor
00:06:04 in the sight of the Lord yeah and so
00:06:07 um I mean The Barley is definitely going
00:06:10 to represent the celestial Glory as we
00:06:12 talked about before this is the
00:06:15 terrestrial
00:06:17 right
00:06:19 um where the wheat The Barley keeps the
00:06:23 law completely right and the wheat do
00:06:26 some but they’re also still somewhat
00:06:28 deceived by the world that Satan and
00:06:31 whatnot right right
00:06:33 um but they are they’re not making
00:06:35 excuses not to do it they’re just
00:06:37 getting deceived right right
00:06:40 they have either through bum information
00:06:43 or
00:06:46 yeah I mean uh who I mean it could be
00:06:49 multiple things but there’s a lot of bum
00:06:51 information in the world today right and
00:06:53 some of it it’s not necessarily they’re
00:06:55 deceived they’re just staying too busy
00:06:57 and focused on the wrong things too
00:06:59 right exactly exactly all those things
00:07:04 still put them as the terrestrial so
00:07:07 right right but the point is is that
00:07:10 either Celestial or terrestrial you have
00:07:13 to be in some form of obedience to the
00:07:16 law correct
00:07:17 because tea lestrol don’t keep the law
00:07:20 so I think that is the highlights of one
00:07:24 and two right so I think we can go into

00:13:33 itself which is Torah the spirit is is
00:13:37 behavior right oh oh and oh verse three

00:13:54 thee down to the floor

00:15:56 actually shows that it’s a witness of a
00:15:59 covenant that you’ve already made right
00:16:01 and then we’re having a meal which is a
00:16:04 Hebrew way of saying that we’ve we’ve
00:16:07 entered into a covenant with each other

00:16:15 make of Make not thyself known unto the

00:53:28 points a lot to uh the promised land I
00:53:32 would say which in itself then points

00:53:39 standing watch over this proceeding

01:08:42 changes you can’t have
01:08:46 unshakable faith meaning
01:08:49 you could not endure to the end with all

01:16:14 addition this just kind of shows this
