00:00:04 with today being Pentecost I I took
00:00:07 Ben’s advice from last week and to focus
00:00:11 on studying tours so that that’s when
00:00:13 I’ve been able to do that that’s what
00:00:15 I’ve been doing today so I have two
00:00:17 insights I want to share today okay
00:00:21 so I think the first one I’m going to
00:00:22 share is based off of uh the fifth
00:00:24 commandment okay so part of the fifth
00:00:27 commandment is to keep in
00:00:31 sorry let me say this a different A
00:00:33 Better Way Part of the fifth commandment
00:00:35 honor thy father and thy mother is to
00:00:37 stay in contact with your parents okay
00:00:42 this is where prayer comes into play
00:00:46 because prayer is a commandment where
00:00:48 we’re supposed to talk to our father
00:00:57 um now the fifth commandment ultimately
00:00:59 has to do with Yahweh okay but the way
00:01:04 in his wisdom decided to
00:01:08 teach us about it about our
00:01:13 our Earthly parents okay our our father
00:01:17 and our mother but it openly points to
00:01:20 him as I’m bringing out prayer this is
00:01:23 where prayer fits in we’re supposed to
00:01:25 pray to the father continually
00:01:28 just as we’re supposed to part of
00:01:30 honoring our father and mother is to
00:01:32 stay in contact with them okay
00:01:36 do you mind if I share something in
00:01:38 support of that yeah go ahead I I love

00:03:13 uh having a prayer always in Your Heart
00:03:16 Right well that’s that is the that is
00:03:19 the culminating that’s what this this
00:03:22 whole thing culminates in oh okay
00:03:25 you cry unto him for Mercy for okay
00:03:27 Continuum of prayer unto him cry unto
00:03:30 him when ye are in your Fields yay over
00:03:33 all your flocks
00:03:35 cry unto him in your house oh I I just
00:03:38 wonder if it’s okay I interrupt a little

00:03:41 the surface level of that is going to be
00:03:45 your work right yes your occupation

00:04:32 yeah yeah that’s one of them I was gonna

00:04:37 though
00:04:39 um houses for one that that’s multiple
00:04:42 things there for the top level surface
00:04:45 level it is going to be your own
00:04:46 household right
00:04:48 as a father mother or a child
00:04:52 um but then also
00:04:54 yahweh’s people is the household of
00:04:57 Yahweh and I can bring that out from a
00:04:59 jst if you guys want to
00:05:02 um but yes the other thing is morning
00:05:06 midday and evening that is your between
00:05:09 the mornings
00:05:11 Prayer by noon and between the evening
00:05:14 prayers which FYI my app will give that

00:05:26 anyways so yeah so so this is actually
00:05:29 yeah so that that’s where that’s that
00:05:33 part there was uh thanks for being on
00:05:36 the part about the house is because
00:05:37 after all it’s in throughout the doctor
00:05:40 covenants that the Lord refers to
00:05:43 the early church as his house yeah yeah
00:05:46 the the house as a reef it is an
00:05:49 allusion to his Believers which we’re
00:05:51 supposed to pray for right but yes the
00:05:54 surface level is your own house your own
00:05:56 little house that you live in uh but a
00:06:00 deeper level is a silly Kindle

00:06:05 the Believers in Yahweh right yep

00:06:11 yea cry unto him against the power of
00:06:13 your enemies now obviously this is this
00:06:16 has also has surface and deeper levels
00:06:19 when we’re talking about the power of
00:06:21 your your enemies are obviously the
00:06:23 people who seek for your personal
00:06:24 destruction but they are also the and
00:06:26 also we’re speaking of the enemy of your
00:06:28 souls
00:06:30 which is Satan and his Dominion or his
00:06:33 minions as in current culture but
00:06:36 anyways and oftentimes the and
00:06:38 oftentimes the two levels of enemies

00:06:41 yes they do because the surface ones are
00:06:45 actually being manipulated by the deeper

00:06:55 enemy of righteousness so there there we

00:10:17 it’s the Journey of your life throughout

00:10:22 to your father in heaven you must pour
00:10:25 out your souls in your closets and in
00:10:27 your secret places those places where
00:10:30 you let nobody into
00:10:34 you’re supposed to let God into it
00:10:37 right in the wilderness just for those
00:10:40 especially since we’re in the Book of
00:10:41 Mormon right now right Nephi left his
00:10:44 comfy situation very comfy situation
00:10:48 actually to go into the Wilderness to
00:10:50 seek after Yahweh in his ways right
00:10:53 yep
00:10:55 yay and when you do not cry unto the
00:10:58 Lord let your hearts be full drawn out
00:11:01 in prayer onto him continually for your
00:11:04 welfare
00:11:05 and
00:11:07 also for the welfare of those who are
00:11:10 around

00:11:14 including your enemies right
00:11:17 and now behold my beloved Brethren I say
00:11:21 unto you
00:11:22 do not suppose that this is all
00:11:25 for after you’ve done all these things
00:11:27 if you turn away the needy
00:11:30 if you don’t become the answer to your
00:11:33 prayers
00:11:36 if you turn away the needy and the naked
00:11:40 and this is not the sick to be afflicted
00:11:43 and a part of your substance if ye have
00:11:46 to those who stand in need I say unto
00:11:49 you if ye do not any of these things
00:11:51 behold your prayer is in pain

00:12:03 so if you’re not take in just a summary
00:12:06 if you’re not taking care of the poor
00:12:07 and you’re stockpiling your money to get
00:12:10 more rich
00:12:13 and you wonder why your prayers are not
00:12:15 being answered here’s why right there
00:12:18 because you’re stockpiling your money
00:12:22 and bragging about it and not taking
00:12:24 care of the poor and you are as
00:12:26 Hypocrites who do deny the faith
00:12:28 oh yeah and that’s pretty that’s a
00:12:31 pretty
00:12:32 direct statement there right denying the
00:12:36 faith
00:12:40 so
00:12:43 our prayers are our prayers
00:12:47 the prayer of faith is given
00:12:51 with the understanding
00:12:57 that we are to act upon it
00:13:02 because otherwise it is not a prayer of
00:13:04 faith
00:13:08 right you know one one statement I do
00:13:11 like from the church that I grew up in
00:13:13 is that you should pray if everything
00:13:16 depends upon Yahweh and then do
00:13:18 everything that depends as if it depends
00:13:20 upon you I do think that’s a nice
00:13:22 statement right because there’s a place
00:13:25 for both right yeah and the the and so
00:13:30 and so while we’re talking about prayer
00:13:33 that it just occurred to me that we need
00:13:35 that this is how we need to think of
00:13:38 Prayer
00:13:39 let’s we let God into the very secret
00:13:43 parts of our Lives the ones that we the
00:13:46 ones that we dare not tell anybody about
00:13:49 right and
00:13:51 I forget which verse but there was the
00:13:57 the closet in your secret places right
00:13:59 right there yep
00:14:02 um but yeah we have if you don’t trust
00:14:05 God to talk to him about everything
00:14:07 how’s he going to help you and save you
00:14:11 right if Chelsea hadn’t had if Kelsey
00:14:15 hadn’t let God into her secret place
00:14:18 when she had gotten the Revelation that
00:14:20 she got
00:14:24 yeah
00:14:25 exactly
00:14:28 um
00:14:30 and so
00:14:32 these are these
00:14:35 we have to realize God
00:14:39 once God actually wants to be involved
00:14:42 in our lives he’s like
00:14:44 he’s like he is a he is our fault he
00:14:47 wants to be involved in other words
00:14:49 but he and he wants intimate prayers not
00:14:52 just wrote vain prayers that you just
00:14:56 keep saying over and over again right
00:14:57 where you say all the pleasant sanitary
00:15:00 things that you think he wants to hear
00:15:01 right he he wants you to be real with
00:15:04 him okay
00:15:06 if you’re having a bad day he wants to
00:15:08 hear it he can handle it trust me
00:15:11 he said he’s had worse days than any of
00:15:15 us can even fathom right and he wants to
00:15:18 sucker us okay like the day that he had
00:15:20 like the day that he had to destroy
00:15:22 almost all life on Earth
00:15:26 he wants to sucker us but if we don’t
00:15:29 open up to him
00:15:31 he can’t sucker us okay yeah that’s
00:15:33 right open up to him
00:15:36 um and it doesn’t have to be a lot of
00:15:38 words it could just be just a few words
00:15:42 um in fact one of the most profound
00:15:46 one of the most profound answers to
00:15:48 prayers that I received
00:15:50 was mostly thoughts
00:15:53 my prayer was comprised mostly thoughts
00:15:55 but just two words it was God help
00:16:02 uh
00:16:04 as long as it’s uh with a sincere heart
00:16:07 and broken I mean
00:16:09 a broken heart and sincere contract
00:16:12 Spirit uh sorry but anyways it’s the
00:16:16 intention that matters
00:16:18 because it’s one of the most profound
00:16:20 answers to prayer to one of the most
00:16:22 profoundly comforting experiences that
00:16:24 I’ve ever had in my life
00:16:26 simple word God help yeah so
00:16:31 um give me let me pause for a minute
00:16:34 so it isn’t supportive it doesn’t have
00:16:38 to be a fancy prayer here is
00:16:42 um a verse in 35 19 and it’s verse 24

01:05:51 wonderful

01:11:13 judgment symbol right which baptism of

01:11:25 heart and contrite spirit and now he’s
01:11:27 become and and he has advocated your
01:11:30 case before the father Yes
01:11:32 and therefore you receive the baptism of
01:11:35 fire which that is a good judgment to
01:11:38 have right not all judgments are bad
01:11:40 this is a very that is a good judgment

01:11:44 and in fact I would argue that this his
01:11:48 presence on Mount Sinai is a good
01:11:49 judgment on the whole
01:11:52 yes yeah and the smoke thereof ascended
01:11:55 as the smoke of a furnace and the whole
01:11:56 Mount quaked greatly and the voice of
01:11:59 the trumpet sounded well and when the
01:12:00 voice of the trumpet sounded long and

01:12:06 I think that’s a really important thing
01:12:09 God answered him by a voice he answered
01:12:11 him by law

01:12:18 there is the literal that Moses did here

01:12:41 excluded from the presence of the Lord
01:12:43 right the Lord Moses has been Sanctified
01:12:47 right he’s keeping them and he’s
01:12:49 teaching other people and that’s why he
01:12:51 can go up in the mountains be with
01:12:53 Yahweh right his presence because
01:12:57 if you’re not keeping the law and you
01:12:59 try to go on his presence you will be
01:13:00 burned
01:13:02 you will be showing that Moses is
01:13:04 keeping the law
01:13:06 and the Lord said unto Moses go down
01:13:09 charge the people lest they break
01:13:12 through unto the Lord’s gaze and many of
01:13:14 them perish
01:13:15 okay there it is made clear
01:13:21 the Lord who doesn’t want us to perish
01:13:23 because we don’t understand

01:34:25 breaking the ninth commandment of the
01:34:27 ten which is connected to the fourth as
01:34:30 we looked a little bit over earlier
01:34:31 right when we’re at the beginning and
01:34:34 our Sorcerers that’s breaking the third
01:34:36 connected to the eighth
01:34:39 and adulterers
01:34:41 which is the seventh commandment
01:34:43 committed to the second in horums
01:34:47 I would say is connected to the 10th
01:34:50 because hordems is more they’re coveting
01:34:52 and it’s a lot more yeah whoremongers

01:34:57 horse right those are common covenantes

01:35:45 doing because you got deceived but we’ll

01:37:51 heart and contrite spirit to keep the
