00:00:02 okay so it’s gone
00:00:05 um
00:00:06 so it’s recording don’t say anything you
00:00:09 don’t want the whole world
00:00:13 was i a 29 or are you saying isaiah 29
00:00:18 no uh mosiah 29
00:00:21 okay got you so
00:00:26 i just sent you a link brie
00:00:28 um
00:00:29 of what
00:00:30 the chi ism that i did
00:00:32 [Music]
00:00:34 um
00:00:34 but it
00:00:36 you’ll you’ll like this point because
00:00:38 we’ve talked about the law right and and
00:00:40 teaching and fulfilled
00:00:42 but if you look in fact we could just
00:00:44 start with this
00:00:45 because uh there’s a lot of and they see
00:00:47 there’s one two three four five stanzas
00:00:51 in this
00:00:52 um
00:00:55 chiasm but a lot of these chiasms
00:00:59 they have
00:01:00 inner chiasms
00:01:02 um which made it a little longer for me
00:01:04 to
00:01:05 completely do it so i don’t if you want
00:01:07 to go look at the page a little bit you
00:01:09 can see that or you can look at it later
00:01:11 but it’s not just a simple
00:01:13 five-point stanza some of these stanzas
00:01:16 have inner chiasms
00:01:18 which makes it a little more tricky
00:01:21 but
00:01:22 chiasm b
00:01:25 which are
00:01:27 which is verse
00:01:30 14
00:01:32 and
00:01:35 let me scroll
00:01:37 i don’t have this memory and 45 which
00:01:40 are both just one verses
00:01:42 um bring out how fulfilling is teaching
00:01:48 [Music]
00:01:53 there’s
00:01:54 not a 4500
00:01:58 uh there’s a 35
00:02:00 are you looking at mosiah 29
00:02:04 i am looking at mosiah 13
00:02:09 the rlds
00:02:11 29.
00:02:13 yeah that’s the lds
00:02:15 so in the rlds it’s chapter 13
00:02:20 and you’ve got an rlds version of the
00:02:22 book of mormon
00:02:25 because the isn’t that the one you just
00:02:26 got earliest text is using the lds
00:02:30 numberings not the rlds
00:02:35 oh
00:02:37 but you have up here
00:02:40 rlds
00:02:42 i have both i have lds and rlds that’s
00:02:45 for okay so my red book oh my red book
00:02:48 is not
00:02:50 rlds
00:02:52 well it the the red book the
00:02:55 the earliest text it uses the lds uh
00:02:58 versifications
00:03:00 or verse numbers
00:03:02 okay
00:03:06 it’s
00:03:06 i put both just because those are the
00:03:09 two most popular
00:03:11 verse numbers or versifications there’s
00:03:13 others out there but
00:03:15 it’s enough work putting the the the two
00:03:17 in there i i’m not putting more than two
00:03:20 i just
00:03:21 it’s it’s crazy but anyways
00:03:24 the red book the earliest text uses the
00:03:26 lds one in fact the scholar who did it
00:03:29 is a byu um
00:03:32 teacher
00:03:33 he’s putting in the lds first numbers
00:03:36 royal scousen
00:03:38 he’s a teacher at byu
00:03:45 hold on one minute okay i’m gonna pause
00:03:47 for a minute
00:03:48 yeah
00:03:55 yeah okay
00:03:56 i’m back
00:03:57 you ready all right yeah because i
00:03:59 couldn’t even hear you
00:04:01 no that’s fine so
00:04:03 the earliest text uses the lds
00:04:06 verses
00:04:07 which orson pratt did
00:04:09 um later on
00:04:12 but royal scousen’s a scholar at byu so
00:04:15 he uses the elias versifications
00:04:18 um
00:04:20 okay
00:04:22 all right it’s just
00:04:24 he doesn’t follow the lds text
00:04:26 completely because of all his you know i
00:04:28 think he spent 20 years on this project
00:04:31 if i remember right quickly give or take
00:04:33 yes
00:04:35 um
00:04:36 but
00:04:37 other than the size it’s my favorite
00:04:40 edition oh you okay
00:04:43 i just spilt my wine
00:04:46 on my page
00:04:50 you know brie
00:04:51 i have a few wine marks on moroni uh
00:04:55 four and five
00:04:58 well now my just marked this it must be
00:05:01 very important
00:05:06 well i i wouldn’t worry about them okay
00:05:09 you know the marks just show that you
00:05:10 love it because you’re
00:05:12 you’re trying to draw that’s right
00:05:15 yeah i am can you hear it
00:05:19 no i can see you uh flapping pores
00:05:25 i don’t want it to stick to the next
00:05:28 page
00:05:29 and as you know i’ve already colored in
00:05:31 it so why not
00:05:33 yeah well but my parents don’t stick of
00:05:36 course i i it’s just a little a drip
00:05:38 here and there i don’t know how much you
00:05:39 actually put on yours
00:05:42 bro it’s like
00:05:44 a quarter and a dime together
00:05:47 side by side
00:05:50 all right well anyways so
00:05:53 um
00:05:56 let me
00:05:57 so did you remember so it’s
00:05:59 verse 45
00:06:02 and
00:06:04 14.
00:06:06 that are tied together as a stanza b so
00:06:10 we
00:06:12 you’ll have to look at the post because
00:06:13 it has um multiple inner stanzas so it
00:06:17 gets a little complicated but um verse
00:06:19 14
00:06:22 in fact one thing i i know i don’t mark
00:06:25 mine much but i i have decided when i i
00:06:28 need to put in my uh chiasms that i find
00:06:31 inside of it so that way i don’t forget
00:06:33 them right when i’m reading
00:06:35 um
00:06:37 anyways
00:06:38 um
00:06:39 verse 14
00:06:41 and even
00:06:42 i
00:06:43 myself have labored with the power and
00:06:46 faculties which i have possessed to
00:06:49 teach
00:06:50 you the commandments of god and to
00:06:52 establish peace throughout the land that
00:06:55 there should be no wars
00:06:58 nor contentions
00:06:59 nor stealing nor plundering no murdering
00:07:03 no or
00:07:05 nor no manner of iniquity
00:07:08 so
00:07:10 right now you’ll just have to believe me
00:07:12 but we can get into it later if you want
00:07:14 but we’ll skip over to verse 45
00:07:17 and now it came to pass that his father
00:07:19 died being 80
00:07:22 and 2 years old
00:07:23 having lived to fulfill
00:07:27 the commandments of god
00:07:32 and so if we look at those two in fact
00:07:35 you know what i can share my screen let
00:07:36 me do that
00:07:37 um because i can show let’s see share
00:07:40 screen
00:07:43 there we go
00:07:44 um
00:07:45 sure ah that looks
00:07:49 oh wait a minute
00:07:50 what i didn’t see anything different
00:07:55 you’re
00:07:56 not
00:08:00 so
00:08:04 do you not see my screen
00:08:09 no
00:08:10 no just says i’m sharing it
00:08:14 maybe you need to pick a screen
00:08:16 um
00:08:20 just a second
00:08:22 oh
00:08:23 okay i made you go away
00:08:28 i
00:08:29 was looking at your message you sent me
00:08:32 not
00:08:34 your post
00:08:36 okay let me see if i can i’m a little
00:08:39 confused because it it’s
00:08:41 hopefully it’s the one that’s recording
00:08:42 but you can see here
00:08:44 um
00:08:47 see how a has these inner
00:08:49 stuff to it and then there’s b
00:08:53 um okay you’ve got king who will bring
00:08:56 judgment when he comes
00:08:59 how did you get that out um
00:09:02 [Music]
00:09:04 where are you what’s first you looking
00:09:05 at
00:09:06 well a
00:09:08 oh a well i’m talking about b we can
00:09:11 look at a if you want but the the part
00:09:13 that i’m
00:09:14 focusing on is stands a b for the
00:09:16 fulfill
00:09:18 okay
00:09:19 but c on b which is verse 14
00:09:24 there’s a big focus on teaching right
00:09:27 and even right i myself have labored
00:09:29 with all the power and faculties which i
00:09:31 possess to teach you the commandments of
00:09:34 god and establish peace throughout the
00:09:37 land
00:09:39 and i think those are connected together
00:09:41 because it’s
00:09:42 first of all we get peace real peace
00:09:45 from yahweh
00:09:47 not from
00:09:48 ourselves or other men
00:09:51 and he gives us that when we keep his
00:09:53 commandments right but his commandments
00:09:56 just cause peace in general in the world
00:09:59 in fact
00:10:01 you know
00:10:03 people think
00:10:04 christ
00:10:05 got rid of the punishments in the new
00:10:08 testament he didn’t
00:10:11 he didn’t and
00:10:14 if
00:10:15 we as a society did the punishments for
00:10:18 those who don’t repent
00:10:21 of the wrongs
00:10:24 we wouldn’t have the problems to the
00:10:25 degree that we have now i mean there
00:10:27 will still be some because there’s
00:10:28 agency and people can choose right from
00:10:31 wrong but it wouldn’t be so prevalent
00:10:34 because
00:10:37 they would be scared if nothing else
00:10:39 right they wouldn’t be able to get away
00:10:41 with it like they do
00:10:43 right now
00:10:44 right right
00:10:47 and i think that’s a lot a big part of
00:10:49 establish peace throughout the land
00:10:52 god’s commandments acts and punishments
00:10:54 for breaking the commandments do that in
00:10:57 fact
00:10:58 the punishments are part of the
00:11:00 commandments
00:11:03 in fact the judges are commending alma
00:11:07 yeah yeah alma 42 is a big one on that
00:11:10 um
00:11:12 how how and we can look at that if you
00:11:14 want but alma 42
00:11:16 those punishments are key
00:11:19 anyways
00:11:20 um but he got rid of
00:11:23 wars and there’s tons of wars today
00:11:26 contentions i go on facebook right
00:11:30 pretty much every group has contention
00:11:36 you know one thing i want to clear up on
00:11:37 contention though because in the new
00:11:38 testament we’re told to contend for the
00:11:41 faith
00:11:42 but christ makes it clear in in the book
00:11:45 of mormon in other places that we should
00:11:47 not contend with anger so how are we
00:11:50 contending for the faith matters right
00:11:53 no stealing no plundering
00:11:56 nor murdering nor any manner of iniquity
00:12:02 then he jumps down to 45
00:12:04 which is the other uh part of
00:12:08 the b stanza right and now it came to
00:12:10 pass his father being 80 and two two
00:12:14 years old having lived to fulfill the
00:12:16 commandments
00:12:21 um
00:12:22 anyways i thought you’d like that
00:12:24 because we i’ve showed you before in
00:12:27 other places how fulfill can mean teach
00:12:30 and here it is
00:12:32 right hidden
00:12:33 in a in a chiasm right
00:12:37 well
00:12:38 okay what i am getting like
00:12:41 um
00:12:42 in alma
00:12:44 um let’s go to alma
00:12:46 just a minute
00:12:47 because in alma 4217
00:12:50 okay hold on let me stop sharing my
00:12:52 screen
00:12:54 um
00:12:55 how do i
00:12:59 do that
00:13:10 i’ll stop sir okay so hopefully recorded
00:13:13 the right screen um but you want to go
00:13:15 to alma 42
00:13:19 that’s one thing
00:13:26 well almost 42 is a good one about
00:13:27 justice and mercy how repentance
00:13:31 well it’s how repentance is brought
00:13:34 about
00:13:35 and why
00:13:37 people will want to repent because they
00:13:40 have understanding
00:13:42 that
00:13:43 there is law
00:13:44 and when you fit
00:13:47 then there’s mercy
00:13:50 there’s there’s that
00:13:52 um
00:13:53 showing uh
00:13:55 showing god you love him
00:13:57 you love others as well
00:14:00 but we break yourself against it there’s
00:14:02 also a fixed punishment
00:14:06 and so we have leaders
00:14:10 like king
00:14:12 obama things that
00:14:14 teach
00:14:15 people
00:14:16 okay
00:14:18 how
00:14:20 to make
00:14:21 the laws
00:14:23 it shows its respect
00:14:26 for the law
00:14:28 it shows you don’t have to worry
00:14:31 about the punishment because if you’ve
00:14:34 got me
00:14:35 if you’ve got connections
00:14:38 if um you’re in
00:14:41 the club
00:14:43 yeah there’s no worries
00:14:45 yeah i and i don’t remember exactly
00:14:47 where but late uh helaman chapters or
00:14:50 early third nephi chap
00:14:53 chapters talk about that i don’t
00:14:54 remember exactly where but somewhere in
00:14:56 that general area
00:14:58 um and i believe yeah that’s so there’s
00:15:00 a consistency again
00:15:03 we are seeing
00:15:05 there has to be law
00:15:07 and there has to be a punishment and to
00:15:08 me
00:15:09 um
00:15:10 imma explains it very well to his son
00:15:14 oh yes sardines
00:15:16 in fact this is he’s explaining it to
00:15:18 his
00:15:19 his wicked son and trying to get him to
00:15:21 be righteous
00:15:23 um
00:15:24 right
00:15:25 right
00:15:26 and just real quick before we look at
00:15:28 that i just want to state that um
00:15:32 mosiah 29 brings out how
00:15:34 it’s not the politicians that vote on
00:15:36 the laws as it is in the united states
00:15:38 for the majority of the laws it’s
00:15:40 the people who vote on the laws
00:15:44 not the politicians
00:15:46 right because right now the politicians
00:15:50 and to quote or use some phrases from
00:15:52 the book of mormon especially mosiah 29
00:15:55 is the
00:15:57 the few
00:15:59 that are looking for unrighteousness
00:16:01 it’s not the majority as it should be
00:16:05 like it was in um in the book of mormon
00:16:08 times the book
00:16:10 everybody voted on all the laws in the
00:16:12 book of mormon times even when there was
00:16:15 contention about the king men right they
00:16:17 gave that to the people to decide
00:16:22 um yeah anyways let’s go to i’m
00:16:24 recording absolutely
00:16:27 and see the people wanted a king when
00:16:31 uh king mosiah
00:16:32 was going to die right
00:16:35 and he point link
00:16:38 says
00:16:39 that
00:16:40 the king
00:16:42 won’t do right even he says you make the
00:16:45 laws
00:16:46 you set up good judges you vote these
00:16:49 good men
00:16:51 and that are already obedient
00:16:55 and keeping the law well
00:16:58 so there’s a i think it’s a mosiah 28 i
00:17:01 can find if you want but mosiah actually
00:17:03 wanted one of his sons his oldest son
00:17:07 to be king
00:17:08 but he
00:17:10 um
00:17:10 declined
00:17:12 and then
00:17:13 mosiah decided to
00:17:16 i would say then search the scriptures
00:17:17 how we shouldn’t have a king and he
00:17:19 found out we shouldn’t and then the
00:17:21 people were okay with it but originally
00:17:23 mosiah wanted his oldest son to be king
00:17:27 and they wanted to find it
00:17:30 um so there’s more to that story
00:17:32 than just that mosiah didn’t want it
00:17:35 in fact i i think well if you look i
00:17:37 don’t think it was
00:17:40 it wasn’t zio the people wanted
00:17:43 his son
00:17:46 he says
00:17:47 i’m desiring
00:17:49 who you want to be king
00:17:51 in the first verse in 29 mosiah
00:17:56 and they come back with the voice and
00:17:58 say we want aaron your son
00:18:02 to be king
00:18:03 but aaron says no thank you
00:18:06 i’m not going
00:18:08 to go to that position
00:18:10 so he stands again
00:18:14 um
00:18:15 because mosiah became king because his
00:18:18 father gave him the kingship
00:18:21 right that was a pattern that had
00:18:23 happened all previously that was
00:18:26 tradition
00:18:28 yeah i so you know sometimes the book of
00:18:31 mormon talks about their traditions
00:18:34 right occasionally i think yeah right um
00:18:36 this is an example of one of their
00:18:38 traditions that because it’s
00:18:40 yeah um
00:18:42 in first or second nephi it talks about
00:18:44 this how
00:18:45 the the nephites had a king for a period
00:18:49 of time in honor of nephi right and then
00:18:52 he redeemed him nephi
00:18:54 um but
00:18:56 that’s right tradition the the
00:18:59 torah actually speaks against having a
00:19:02 king
00:19:03 but just like it happened judges
00:19:06 yes the torah talks about judges not
00:19:09 kings um right but as in in samuel
00:19:13 was at first samuel
00:19:15 um when he anointed
00:19:17 um saul
00:19:19 um
00:19:21 the lord told samuel that they haven’t
00:19:23 rejected you they rejected me in fact
00:19:26 um yes
00:19:28 that’s in my uh king
00:19:30 or bishops or judges of israel post i
00:19:33 talk about that some yes i love that
00:19:37 yeah
00:19:40 i spent a lot of time on that one um a
00:19:43 lot of people tell me that’s one of
00:19:45 their favorite posts of mine
00:19:48 um and i’ll be honest it’s one of my
00:19:50 favorites too well i thought you you
00:19:53 know
00:19:54 were very thorough
00:19:57 in explaining
00:19:58 yeah
00:19:59 and showing many witnesses
00:20:03 through the script
00:20:05 um thank you i tried to do that i
00:20:11 i wrote it in support of sam young
00:20:15 um who i agree
00:20:17 on that you know we shouldn’t be
00:20:19 interviewing children which i show
00:20:21 through there right even elmer the
00:20:23 younger didn’t get interviewed by a
00:20:25 bishop right
00:20:26 um
00:20:27 and i bring that out but i disagree with
00:20:30 sam young on many other things that he
00:20:35 speaks out
00:20:37 for
00:20:38 um
00:20:40 bishops should not be interviewing
00:20:43 children and they never did until
00:20:45 recently
00:20:46 even the doctrine covenants
00:20:48 speaks against that like i bring out in
00:20:51 my post
00:20:52 um
00:20:53 the lds church don’t do bishops the way
00:20:55 it is in the scriptures including the
00:20:57 doctrine covenant and the book of mormon
00:21:01 they they’re just they’re following
00:21:03 false traditions which is
00:21:07 sad
00:21:09 but anyways yes it is
00:21:12 okay um
00:21:14 so where are we going oh alma
00:21:17 42 uh yeah there was element 42 read
00:21:20 that and then we’re back
00:21:23 um i don’t want to leave my spot
00:21:26 josiah 29
00:21:29 okay
00:21:31 i can find it better now
00:21:34 that the spill has been
00:21:36 i i don’t know if i’ve told you this
00:21:37 before brie
00:21:39 but
00:21:40 um
00:21:41 someone has brought out there’s a very
00:21:43 good chance that alma 42 was given
00:21:47 during passover i tend to believe that
00:21:49 theory
00:21:50 um because it goes off of the traditions
00:21:53 of the jews things like that
00:21:56 that
00:21:57 during passover you counsel
00:22:00 your your children and this is what’s
00:22:02 going on here
00:22:04 he’s counseling his three boys
00:22:06 right
00:22:08 tradition is four but he didn’t have
00:22:09 four sons he only had three so i think
00:22:11 he was following it as much as he he
00:22:14 could but anyways that’s a little bit
00:22:18 i believe
00:22:19 that
00:22:20 this council was given during passover
00:22:22 but
00:22:23 that’s
00:22:24 i don’t have any proof of it
00:22:26 other than what some other guy wrote
00:22:28 about it
00:22:29 but even that’s it’s going off of
00:22:33 jewish traditions today because that’s
00:22:34 what the jews do today or the majority
00:22:37 of the jews do today but anyways
00:22:40 hmm
00:22:41 okay
00:22:44 was there a specific verses you wanted
00:22:46 to look
00:22:47 at well um we can start with 16.
00:22:53 okay
00:22:58 now repentance could not come upon men
00:23:02 except there were a punishment which was
00:23:06 eternal as the life of the soul
00:23:10 should be now so
00:23:13 i i think that’s a big statement there
00:23:16 myself
00:23:17 it is it’s an eternal
00:23:20 yeah it’s an eternal punishment it’s not
00:23:22 just mortal
00:23:24 it’s not just for this life it’s eternal
00:23:26 i mean we could go look up eternal in
00:23:28 the 1828 dictionary if you want but it’s
00:23:31 basically forever
00:23:32 right
00:23:34 and i there’s a section in the dnc
00:23:38 in the lds dnc i should clarify that
00:23:40 that contradicts this
00:23:42 but you know what it’s one of those
00:23:44 verses that i don’t or sections that i
00:23:46 don’t believe
00:23:47 because of other issues not just this
00:23:49 one because those
00:23:52 a lot of the later sections in the dnc
00:23:54 have tons of problems with them
00:23:57 in it um and so yes they do
00:24:01 in fact i remember i
00:24:03 the reason i looked into it because the
00:24:05 snufferites
00:24:06 would quote that section saying
00:24:08 damnation is not eternal because they’re
00:24:10 trying to push reincarnation right
00:24:14 which is also against i mean we could go
00:24:17 look at alma 40 that teaches against
00:24:19 that but
00:24:22 well let’s just stay on
00:24:24 42 because we’re going to go back to
00:24:27 mosiah 29
00:24:29 sure um
00:24:31 so 16
00:24:34 is the life of the soul being fixed
00:24:36 oh hold on let me get off
00:24:41 okay
00:24:43 uh it could be fixed opposed
00:24:46 now this is a big point too opposed to
00:24:48 the plan of happiness i think that’s a
00:24:51 big point which
00:24:52 was
00:24:54 as eternal also to the life of soul so
00:24:58 punishment’s eternal and
00:25:00 happiness is eternal
00:25:03 um yep
00:25:06 and also one thing uh and i see this in
00:25:09 the book of mormon also but soul is a
00:25:12 hebrew idiom for spirit
00:25:15 soul and spirit are the same thing
00:25:17 it’s just using a different word for the
00:25:19 same idea
00:25:21 and
00:25:22 because you’ll see verses in the book of
00:25:24 mormon sometimes they’ll say spirit
00:25:26 and body and sometimes soul and body
00:25:30 they’re just
00:25:32 abraham three
00:25:34 is it 22 it does the same thing it
00:25:37 interchanges soul and spirit but anyways
00:25:41 yes it does
00:25:42 yes it does
00:25:44 uh 17 now how could a man repent except
00:25:48 he should sin
00:25:50 [Music]
00:25:51 and and
00:25:53 we’ve talked about that because of the
00:25:55 law right the law doesn’t disappear
00:25:57 right
00:25:58 because right if it did disappear how
00:26:00 could you sin
00:26:01 and then if you can’t sin
00:26:03 how could you repent right
00:26:05 right right and that’s what he’s saying
00:26:09 now some would read it
00:26:11 well
00:26:13 so you have to send
00:26:15 first to benjamin
00:26:17 you can repent
00:26:19 yeah but we’re not
00:26:25 i’ve never come across anybody saying
00:26:27 that we had to sin
00:26:29 have you run across people saying that
00:26:31 oh i have
00:26:32 oh yes
00:26:34 absolutely
00:26:35 we are human
00:26:37 and have weaknesses and so expect us
00:26:41 to sin
00:26:42 and break ourselves against his law
00:26:47 and then we just turn around and we
00:26:49 repent
00:26:50 see how easy that is
00:26:54 holy mackerel i’m being facetious
00:26:57 well i know but i just
00:26:59 just the idea that god wants us to so
00:27:03 there are so many problems if god wanted
00:27:05 us to sin how could he punish us for
00:27:08 something he wanted us to do that
00:27:10 right to me he wouldn’t have a
00:27:12 punishment yeah he would say go for it
00:27:15 kid
00:27:16 you can do what
00:27:18 yeah the
00:27:20 say
00:27:21 that’s why they’re lines of just doing
00:27:23 whatever eat drink can be merry right
00:27:27 in my mind because it doesn’t matter
00:27:29 god’s just going to stripe us with a few
00:27:30 stripes that was redundant but um you
00:27:34 get the idea that
00:27:36 that’s a delusion
00:27:38 yes i i completely agree that’s a
00:27:41 delusion um
00:27:44 holy mackerel anyways
00:27:47 uh did i finish reading 17
00:27:48 [Music]
00:27:50 oh no i think i didn’t read the last
00:27:52 part how could no he sin if there was no
00:27:55 law so that’s basically saying
00:27:58 sin is breaking the law right yeah right
00:28:02 that’s why i like this verse and the
00:28:04 spirit reminded me
00:28:06 transgression is the same thing you
00:28:08 can’t transgress if there’s no law
00:28:12 sin and transgression are
00:28:14 the same thing
00:28:17 there’s a verse in the new testament
00:28:18 that kind of brings that out but anyways
00:28:20 but how could there be a law
00:28:23 say there was a punishment so
00:28:25 this is kind of going along with what i
00:28:27 said that in the torah or the
00:28:29 commandments
00:28:31 they include the punishments so i’m
00:28:34 actually going to remember that sentence
00:28:35 more now
00:28:36 [Music]
00:28:41 what’s the sense of saying that there’s
00:28:43 something’s right or wrong but there’s
00:28:44 no punishment because there’s no point
00:28:47 and i think you know this chapter goes
00:28:49 and
00:28:50 brings that out even more later on
00:28:52 now there was a punishment affixed and a
00:28:55 just law given
00:28:57 which brought
00:28:59 and i think this is a good point here
00:29:00 remorse of conscience unto man which is
00:29:03 kind of like we were talking about
00:29:05 earlier
00:29:06 right
00:29:08 now if there was no law given if a man
00:29:12 murdereth he should die
00:29:15 would it be
00:29:16 would he be afraid he should die if he
00:29:19 should murder
00:29:22 it’s basically saying if there is no law
00:29:24 against murder there’d be a lot more
00:29:27 murder
00:29:28 today now
00:29:31 some people would murder even if there
00:29:34 was no law or
00:29:36 against it but oh yeah there are some
00:29:39 people that need the law
00:29:42 to not murder
00:29:43 um like the wicked people
00:29:45 um because they don’t want to get caught
00:29:48 right
00:29:48 right and they have to have their secret
00:29:51 signs and oaths and combinations yeah
00:29:55 yeah yeah
00:29:56 in fact
00:29:58 anyways we’re getting i don’t want to
00:29:59 sidetrack on that never mind
00:30:02 okay
00:30:03 so let’s go on
00:30:06 and 20 and also if they there was no law
00:30:10 given against sin men would not be
00:30:13 afraid to sin and there would be no
00:30:16 reason not to sin because
00:30:18 i mean in the first place there wouldn’t
00:30:20 be any sin without the law right as we
00:30:22 just read right a couple verses before
00:30:25 right
00:30:26 almost is kind of helping
00:30:29 drill in this point right
00:30:34 and if there was no law given if men sin
00:30:37 what could justice do now this is where
00:30:41 kind of bringing out how i think
00:30:43 justice is also for the righteous not
00:30:46 just for the sinners there’s two parts
00:30:48 of justice
00:30:50 right
00:30:52 or and if there is no law given if men
00:30:56 sin what could justice do or mercy
00:30:59 either
00:31:00 for they would have no claim upon
00:31:04 the creature now
00:31:06 they
00:31:07 they is plural and we just talked about
00:31:10 justice and mercy
00:31:12 they both have claim upon us
00:31:15 right not just one even the righteous
00:31:18 they both claim us in fact i i don’t
00:31:20 know a verse off top my head right now
00:31:22 but we’re justified by the law
00:31:28 um
00:31:30 22 but there is a lot given
00:31:34 and a punishment affixed
00:31:37 and repentance granted
00:31:40 in fact i i think that’s wonderful
00:31:42 because
00:31:43 i i just reread
00:31:46 somewhere in alma
00:31:48 somewhat recently where
00:31:50 during the wars
00:31:53 that if the people
00:31:55 repented
00:31:56 capital punishment was not applied upon
00:31:59 them but if they didn’t repent then it
00:32:02 was applied
00:32:04 i think
00:32:04 a lot of people
00:32:07 yeah just want that just when
00:32:09 they were to take an oath are you going
00:32:11 to come against us or not oh you’re
00:32:14 going to come against us then
00:32:18 there’s capital punishment i think it
00:32:20 also was with some of the prisoners that
00:32:22 they already had to yeah because that
00:32:25 reminds me
00:32:27 i forget where but we’re in the canyon
00:32:29 where morrow and i uh had them
00:32:32 cornered basically right
00:32:35 and he he’s like i don’t want to kill
00:32:37 you
00:32:38 but i don’t want you to keep trying to
00:32:39 kill me
00:32:41 right um
00:32:43 right
00:32:44 but
00:32:46 um
00:32:48 well see i turned to third nephi chapter
00:32:51 four
00:32:52 okay
00:32:53 and
00:32:54 those who would not enter into the
00:32:56 covenant
00:32:58 you know they continued their secret
00:33:00 murders in their heart
00:33:02 but it says as many as were found
00:33:05 breathing out bit names against their
00:33:07 brethren
00:33:08 they were condemned and punished
00:33:11 according to the law
00:33:13 and there it put an end
00:33:16 see if we that it would put an end to
00:33:19 all those wicked and secret and
00:33:21 abominable combinations
00:33:28 they even gave those really wicked
00:33:30 politicians
00:33:32 yeah yeah a chance to repent right
00:33:36 so they had they had their evidence
00:33:39 and they went to him and showed him and
00:33:41 talked to him and was like are you gonna
00:33:43 continue this or are you gonna stop now
00:33:44 that you’ve been exposed
00:33:46 all right
00:33:47 if they wouldn’t make it off
00:33:49 slash covenant to stop and people back
00:33:53 then
00:33:54 took oh slash covenants very seriously i
00:33:58 think today oh yes nowadays yes there
00:34:00 was integrity
00:34:02 yes
00:34:03 even if you were wicked you were still
00:34:06 had the integrity like you’re saying you
00:34:07 would still right
00:34:09 what you would do today that’s not so
00:34:11 much the case well that’s challenging
00:34:14 you get away with things nowadays that
00:34:17 you have wicked
00:34:19 we are
00:34:21 yeah yeah
00:34:22 it’s that i
00:34:24 i talk to heavenly father and i go
00:34:27 father i come before you and i plead
00:34:30 that you give us more time to repent
00:34:33 because we are so wicked our children
00:34:38 are growing up in the wickedness
00:34:41 and we need more time to teach the
00:34:43 gospel we need more time to teach your
00:34:45 commandments to them
00:34:47 that they can be written and hidden in
00:34:49 your heart you know in their hearts
00:34:52 right because they don’t even have a
00:34:55 chance because they are brought up with
00:34:57 disney and
00:34:59 all this
00:35:02 um
00:35:04 wicked agenda
00:35:07 oh yeah
00:35:09 yes
00:35:10 there
00:35:11 things have been so distorted nowadays
00:35:15 so much so
00:35:17 um
00:35:18 so much so that most people don’t even
00:35:20 know it’s been distorted
00:35:22 right right because they’re caught up in
00:35:24 their own
00:35:27 self-centered life either
00:35:30 making the money to keep the roof over
00:35:32 their head or
00:35:34 entertaining
00:35:36 being entertained yeah that happens a
00:35:40 lot no i gotta have an escape
00:35:45 yeah i mean rome did all that
00:35:47 entertainment on purpose
00:35:50 yes it’s happening today too it’s
00:35:52 nothing new there’s nothing new under
00:35:54 the sun
00:35:56 right oh no
00:35:59 there is not and i see this over
00:36:03 and over that’s what makes me love
00:36:06 the scriptures so much
00:36:09 is again i know we repeat this but so
00:36:13 does our father in heaven he repeat his
00:36:17 word he is consistent he is same
00:36:21 with all of his children
00:36:25 the same yesterday today and forever
00:36:28 yeah
00:36:29 i love this quote from lectures on faith
00:36:32 that brings out i forget which lecture
00:36:34 i’d have to go find it again but
00:36:37 how if god had different
00:36:40 rules for different people he would not
00:36:45 be
00:36:46 he would be a respecter of persons
00:36:49 and we wouldn’t be able to have faith
00:36:51 strong enough to the point of salvation
00:36:54 with him because we would be wondering
00:36:56 what rules should we follow because he’s
00:36:58 changing them for different people what
00:37:00 applies to me and what applies to other
00:37:02 people
00:37:03 there’s
00:37:05 if he was a reason i lived that persons
00:37:07 and changing it for different people how
00:37:10 can we know what he expects of us
00:37:12 because he’s
00:37:13 changing
00:37:15 but that’s not what happens he’s the
00:37:17 same
00:37:18 but
00:37:19 the world thinks he does change right
00:37:21 which is sad um
00:37:24 well
00:37:25 i think
00:37:27 from my personal experience
00:37:29 i think
00:37:30 like when i watched my father
00:37:33 and the inconsistency
00:37:36 and
00:37:37 you don’t have an understanding of who
00:37:40 god is you know his attributes and stuff
00:37:43 like that i didn’t even get a full
00:37:46 picture until i read the lectures on
00:37:48 faith
00:37:50 that i could see it more clearly
00:37:54 but i thought hey you change and i saw
00:37:57 it in the leadership i saw it from the
00:38:00 words that flew from their mouth
00:38:02 see he doesn’t have to do this anymore
00:38:05 because he’s already done it
00:38:07 or he’s given us the power
00:38:11 you know the brethren
00:38:13 and
00:38:14 and i’m like
00:38:15 do you change your movie
00:38:17 you’re
00:38:19 i i don’t get
00:38:21 and then
00:38:22 isaiah 14 is introduced to the lectures
00:38:25 on faith
00:38:27 it broke my heart that nine men in what
00:38:32 1929
00:38:33 i think it was it was 1920 but it was
00:38:36 really going
00:38:38 okay it was 1920 slash 21 when it was
00:38:41 removed from the doctrine covenants it
00:38:43 was primarily james talmage that had it
00:38:46 removed
00:38:47 i mean
00:38:49 supposedly there was a a committee
00:38:52 but it was pretty much just james e
00:38:54 tallmadge that ran everything
00:38:56 um
00:38:58 hi you know
00:39:01 in the past there’s some things that i
00:39:03 like that from james e town in fact
00:39:05 there’s still a few things that i like
00:39:06 from him but since i’ve woken up
00:39:09 i see most of his stuff is garbage sorry
00:39:13 but it’s a lot of it was just me too
00:39:15 it’s a personal opinion or opinions he’s
00:39:17 gotten
00:39:19 lds leaders that just didn’t what they
00:39:21 were talking about
00:39:23 right
00:39:24 right
00:39:26 it’s so sad
00:39:27 but
00:39:29 um
00:39:30 it is what it is
00:39:31 i mean that happens in any church that
00:39:33 starts
00:39:34 falling
00:39:35 christians of men instead of the word of
00:39:37 god and in fact
00:39:39 joseph smith
00:39:41 signed his name to the lectures of faith
00:39:44 and said i’m held responsible for what
00:39:47 is within these and then they removed
00:39:49 them because of a supposed
00:39:53 dnc 130 right is the main thing that
00:39:56 gets quoted for why it’s removed but
00:39:58 the two scribes that hurt that talk
00:40:01 contradict each other on so many points
00:40:04 not just the holy ghost but other points
00:40:07 also but yet they chose to keep us a
00:40:11 bad scribe and get rid of
00:40:13 the lectures on faith which was
00:40:14 confirmed that joseph smith taught
00:40:19 and
00:40:20 personally i think it’s because
00:40:23 as taught in the lectures on faith we
00:40:25 need to know the attributes and
00:40:26 characters of god to really be saved
00:40:31 and someone doesn’t want us to be saved
00:40:34 and so they removed it on purpose
00:40:36 because there’s multiple things
00:40:38 in lectures on faith that contradicts
00:40:40 the current lds narrative
00:40:43 tons absolutely
00:40:47 absolutely
00:40:48 but if you follow the lds narrative
00:40:50 joseph smith didn’t know what he was
00:40:51 talking about
00:40:53 that’s
00:40:54 you know who doesn’t talk know who
00:40:56 they’re talking about is the current
00:40:57 leaders joseph smith had tons of angels
00:41:00 on record that visited him there’s no
00:41:03 record of current lds leaders being
00:41:05 visited by angels
00:41:07 they don’t show the fruits
00:41:10 they they claim the fellowship of the
00:41:12 priests above
00:41:14 but they haven’t seen god in fact they
00:41:16 don’t even come out and directly say
00:41:18 that they’ve seen god as directed in 13
00:41:21 by 12 to do it actually says come out
00:41:24 and say that you have seen me
00:41:29 well dallin
00:41:30 a joke he
00:41:32 even came out when he was talking to the
00:41:35 youth
00:41:36 and said
00:41:38 none of us
00:41:39 have had that experience like alma yeah
00:41:42 was it the youth or i thought it was at
00:41:44 a state conference because i have a
00:41:45 recording
00:41:46 of that do you have that i thought it
00:41:48 was at a youth conference
00:41:52 as the youth
00:41:53 it was the youth that
00:41:55 asked that question
00:41:58 it could be i i’m
00:42:02 incarnation is a state conference but
00:42:04 i’m
00:42:05 i don’t
00:42:06 have that memorized
00:42:08 i’ll put um
00:42:10 i have the link that i’ll share yeah put
00:42:12 a link
00:42:13 yeah and people can go look at it um
00:42:16 right
00:42:18 because i you probably haven’t gone and
00:42:20 looked at these the recordings on
00:42:22 youtube i put links in in the comments
00:42:24 so people can go see things um that
00:42:27 support what we’re saying no i haven’t
00:42:30 had time to go back
00:42:32 no i don’t blame you you know i don’t
00:42:35 watch it either i just i do the work to
00:42:38 put it on youtube which there’s a couple
00:42:40 steps i need to do but then then i
00:42:41 forget about it
00:42:44 i don’t do much because i don’t
00:42:47 watching our own sessions studying
00:42:50 scripture study sessions is kind of
00:42:52 funny so i just don’t do that so i don’t
00:42:54 blame you not doing it either
00:42:56 bree it’s just
00:42:59 that’s kooky
00:43:00 sorry
00:43:02 yeah
00:43:04 well it’s a benefit
00:43:07 that’s great i know that has benefited
00:43:09 us
00:43:12 i mean i watch other people’s
00:43:14 teachings but
00:43:16 i mean that’s to learn new things not to
00:43:18 go over what i just did so right
00:43:21 i will admit there’s been a couple times
00:43:23 i’ve re-read some of my previous posts
00:43:27 um so maybe that’s a little kooky
00:43:28 especially since it came for me but
00:43:31 i don’t know i’ve reread my journal
00:43:35 you know to see
00:43:38 have i forgotten something
00:43:40 [Music]
00:43:41 when the spirit had directed me to write
00:43:44 and
00:43:45 now i’m older you know where i had
00:43:49 written when i was 24 or something
00:43:53 you know and i’ve had kids now and i’ve
00:43:56 had
00:43:57 lots of experiences in marriage for 40
00:44:01 years
00:44:02 you know
00:44:03 it
00:44:04 i
00:44:05 see the benefit
00:44:06 of going back and seeing and i was like
00:44:10 okay
00:44:11 yeah
00:44:12 i got off
00:44:13 you know the path
00:44:15 when the heat was turned up
00:44:18 sir um
00:44:23 yeah uh
00:44:24 even daniel and nephi even after they
00:44:26 saw
00:44:27 uh yahweh they still studied the
00:44:29 scriptures
00:44:31 i think for learning and esther and also
00:44:34 reminders both yes constant we need that
00:44:38 how quickly we forget
00:44:40 he says in helaman
00:44:42 you know
00:44:45 it’s like yep
00:44:47 i need that constant reminder father
00:44:50 okay
00:44:51 so we were
00:44:54 on
00:44:55 verse
00:44:58 19 20. oh alma 42 let me put back there
00:45:02 [Music]
00:45:03 let’s go back and then we’ll get to
00:45:05 mosiah 29.
00:45:08 but i just saw this as a second witness
00:45:11 and i love the fact that the spirit says
00:45:14 hey somebody else said this
00:45:18 yeah yeah
00:45:19 by two or three witnesses right
00:45:22 right
00:45:23 yeah
00:45:24 um
00:45:26 so you want to go back to alma 42 or
00:45:28 mosiah 29
00:45:30 no it was alma 42
00:45:32 that we were finishing up to 22.
00:45:35 okay
00:45:37 uh
00:45:38 let’s see
00:45:41 for i think we read 21 for they could
00:45:44 have no claim upon the creature and i
00:45:46 was saying they is plural justice and
00:45:48 mercy right
00:45:51 right
00:45:52 22 but there is a law given and a
00:45:54 punishment affixed
00:45:56 and repentance
00:45:58 granted i think that’s important right
00:46:01 yes it is repentance
00:46:04 in fact
00:46:06 i know some people
00:46:08 heckle
00:46:09 um nephi for was it second nephi 25
00:46:15 i think it is where it says after all
00:46:17 you can do
00:46:19 but all you have to do is repent
00:46:23 that’s all return to him and say i
00:46:26 messed up
00:46:27 i’m weak
00:46:28 i don’t want to do this please help
00:46:32 yeah
00:46:33 that’s all we can do and that’s part of
00:46:34 the repentance process is acknowledging
00:46:37 our weakness
00:46:38 and returning to him and his ways that’s
00:46:42 what repentance is and that’s all we can
00:46:44 do because there’s nothing else we can
00:46:46 do to save us because if we try to save
00:46:48 ourselves
00:46:50 it’s just not going to happen
00:46:52 but
00:46:53 sadly
00:46:54 a lot of people take that verse and
00:46:56 second nephi 25
00:46:58 out of context
00:47:00 a lot
00:47:01 and try and trying to prove that the
00:47:02 book of mormon’s wrong right
00:47:04 but instead of trying to really
00:47:06 understand what is teaching
00:47:08 they just want to write it off and they
00:47:10 use that verse
00:47:12 which is sad but there’s tons of verses
00:47:15 in the book of mormon that explain what
00:47:17 verse
00:47:18 um
00:47:21 whatever are you uh looking at
00:47:25 so you can put that in
00:47:29 let me find it hold on
00:47:31 you brought it up
00:47:35 i’m pretty sure it’s on second a525
00:47:42 [Music]
00:47:46 no let me use my tool
00:47:48 it’s not there
00:47:50 okay
00:47:51 one second
00:47:53 no i swallowed wrong hold on oh
00:47:56 because this
00:48:00 this one i’m looking at it says we speak
00:48:03 concerning the law that our children may
00:48:04 know the deadness of the law
00:48:07 sure it may look forward
00:48:10 unto the life which is in christ i might
00:48:13 remember them
00:48:33 uh
00:48:34 hold on
00:49:00 hold on let me do a
00:49:02 search
00:49:14 uh
00:49:15 so doing quick search it’s second nephi
00:49:18 25 23
00:49:22 for we labor to write to
00:49:24 persuade men
00:49:28 uh after all we can do
00:49:31 that last part at the end people love to
00:49:33 focus on
00:49:35 of second e5 25 23
00:49:39 but they forget to do just even just a
00:49:41 couple words before that we know it is
00:49:44 by grace that we are saved after all we
00:49:46 can do
00:49:48 um
00:49:49 so they like to forget about that first
00:49:51 part
00:50:01 you there oh i’m gonna pause
00:50:06 pre left us internet problems hold on
00:50:09 one minute
00:50:10 okay
00:50:11 all right gotta love the internet
00:50:14 yeah
00:50:17 it has his pros and cons that’s for sure
00:50:21 um
00:50:23 i i like the internet it’s my job but
00:50:28 well not perfect
00:50:30 yeah i was telling heavenly father this
00:50:32 is wonderful that we can connect but
00:50:35 there’s so much transmission
00:50:41 okay i actually
00:50:43 i remember you were reading alma 42
00:50:48 yeah
00:50:50 and you were looking for
00:50:52 um second nephi 25 and
00:50:57 oh yeah
00:50:58 so second nephi 25
00:51:01 3
00:51:02 is the one i was saying that a lot of
00:51:04 people
00:51:05 like to um
00:51:08 give those who believe in the book of
00:51:10 mormon a hard time with and
00:51:12 because at the end of that verse it says
00:51:14 after all we can do
00:51:17 i have
00:51:20 23.
00:51:21 yeah uh second step three
00:51:24 twenty-three
00:51:25 second five three
00:51:27 twenty-five twenty-three
00:51:31 oh you’re breaking up okay 25-23
00:51:36 is what i have for
00:51:38 by grace
00:51:40 and
00:51:41 yeah it’s fun
00:51:43 after all we can do
00:51:45 right and the part that um people
00:51:48 give
00:51:49 those who believe in the book of mormon
00:51:50 a hard time on is after all we can do
00:51:53 but after all you can do
00:51:56 that simply is repent because all we can
00:51:59 do is repent
00:52:05 i mean i i have various verses saved
00:52:07 which is turned back to him and his ways
00:52:11 his law
00:52:12 yes completely
00:52:14 um and recently i’ve been saving verses
00:52:16 that go along with those lines
00:52:19 um which i can share some if you want
00:52:21 but
00:52:22 you’re breaking up
00:52:24 oh
00:52:26 it’s you
00:52:27 steven if you break up for me
00:52:30 do you break up for
00:52:33 the recording
00:52:34 no because it’s recording online just
00:52:37 for you because it’s recording on my
00:52:38 machine
00:52:40 i’m not bummer
00:52:42 [Laughter]
00:52:44 but at least i did not repeat
00:52:48 so that’s cool
00:52:49 yeah so some people when they watch the
00:52:51 video
00:52:52 uh are gonna hear repeats but yeah
00:52:56 i mean that’s because of my yucky awful
00:53:02 internet we have to share with our
00:53:04 neighbors
00:53:06 yeah that that’s horrible we’ve been out
00:53:08 of school
00:53:12 yeah and they pay
00:53:15 they pay like 175
00:53:17 for this
00:53:18 faulty internet that’s
00:53:22 that’s ridiculous that’s a ripoff um
00:53:26 i i
00:53:27 i wouldn’t pay that much for the type of
00:53:29 quality that you guys are getting it’s
00:53:31 ridiculous but
00:53:33 that’s a whole nother subject best that
00:53:35 there is
00:53:37 in our area
00:53:39 so they get to do that
00:53:41 yeah yeah that’s
00:53:43 that’s what monopolies do for you they
00:53:46 don’t care monopolies just want money
00:53:48 not right for the people and so how
00:53:52 anyways that’s against antitrust issues
00:53:55 but i don’t want to focus on that
00:53:57 right now right let’s back to
00:54:00 the subject at hand
00:54:03 which is what because we go back and
00:54:04 forth a lot like we do all the time
00:54:08 right
00:54:09 okay so we are back did we finish alma
00:54:13 42
00:54:15 no we broke up
00:54:17 no
00:54:18 um
00:54:18 i think i said
00:54:21 22 but then that’s when you disappeared
00:54:23 i think yes okay so let’s finish that
00:54:27 and then we’ll bounce over to messiah
00:54:31 okay
00:54:32 but there is a law given and a
00:54:34 punishment affixed and repentance
00:54:37 granted
00:54:39 oh i remember that i remember talking
00:54:41 about repentance granted i remember
00:54:44 right
00:54:45 because i think that’s one thing about
00:54:48 justice that people forget right
00:54:51 because they they just want their
00:54:52 justice
00:54:53 period
00:54:55 but
00:54:56 yep
00:54:57 there’s repentance
00:55:00 and and and i remember that we talked
00:55:02 about one example about how
00:55:04 the
00:55:07 nephites granted repentance onto the
00:55:09 lamanites
00:55:10 and some took it and some didn’t right
00:55:15 which repentance
00:55:18 mercy claimeth so this this is i think a
00:55:21 big part right here this little phrase
00:55:25 repentance
00:55:26 mercy claimeth it’s
00:55:29 mercy has claim on those who repent
00:55:32 yes
00:55:33 and that’s why
00:55:35 when we show
00:55:37 god
00:55:38 we love him by keeping his commandments
00:55:42 is
00:55:43 the first commandment him
00:55:46 and the second one
00:55:49 is love others
00:55:51 as we love ourself
00:55:53 well we would want that chance
00:55:56 to turn back to him
00:55:58 so we will give that to our enemy that
00:56:02 opportunity hey if you will turn away
00:56:06 from your goodness you will turn away
00:56:08 from hurting others and just turn
00:56:12 to him as long
00:56:14 you will be forgiven
00:56:16 yeah i agree with you the one thing i
00:56:18 want to bring out is that how a lot of
00:56:21 people
00:56:23 i mean they don’t quite say this in
00:56:25 these same words but if you see what
00:56:27 they teach
00:56:29 and do
00:56:30 they’re saying it but they won’t come
00:56:32 out and say that they think that mercy
00:56:35 is a right to sin
00:56:38 can you hear me
00:56:41 something about they will come out say
00:56:43 sin
00:56:44 yeah so
00:56:46 uh it looks like the internet’s not
00:56:47 working the best again
00:56:49 um
00:56:50 but
00:56:51 i keep on praying yeah
00:56:53 a lot of people
00:56:56 will claim that mercy
00:56:58 gives them the right to do whatever they
00:57:00 want meaning means they can sin without
00:57:03 any consequence
00:57:05 and that’s not the case and i think this
00:57:07 verse really makes this right bring out
00:57:10 for those who believe in the book of
00:57:11 mormon it’s in the new testament also
00:57:14 but
00:57:15 mercy
00:57:17 claimeth
00:57:19 those who repent i mean i’ll just read
00:57:21 it how it says it which repentance mercy
00:57:23 claimeth
00:57:27 so only those who repent have claimed
00:57:30 upon mercy
00:57:33 that’s right
00:57:35 it’s not those who just keep doing what
00:57:37 their
00:57:38 awful sins are or even the smallest sin
00:57:42 right it doesn’t matter how big don’t
00:57:44 make excuses
00:57:46 yeah
00:57:47 the problem is those
00:57:50 who sent it all
00:57:53 are not going to go
00:57:55 with god because
00:57:57 any
00:57:58 unclean thing cannot live with god right
00:58:01 because we can’t be in his presence
00:58:03 right
00:58:05 anyways i just i like those uh was it
00:58:08 one two three four words i think clears
00:58:11 up a lot
00:58:13 of issues that’s in christendom right
00:58:17 can i keep doing what i want or do i
00:58:19 need to stop
00:58:22 mercy is just not given to anybody it’s
00:58:25 given to those who are of yeshua
00:58:29 of yahweh
00:58:31 right
00:58:32 and those are of him strive to keep the
00:58:35 commandments even
00:58:37 [Music]
00:58:38 the
00:58:40 sacramental prayers from roanoke four
00:58:42 and five bring that out right how we
00:58:45 seek i think they use the word seek but
00:58:47 seek and strive are pretty much the same
00:58:49 thing
00:58:54 so anyways
00:58:57 otherwise so those who don’t repent
00:59:00 justice claimeth the creature and
00:59:02 executed the law
00:59:07 me there’s part of the law is
00:59:10 punishments as we read earlier up here
00:59:12 right
00:59:14 it’s part of it
00:59:17 but sadly a lot of people take teachings
00:59:19 from paul and try to twist it
00:59:22 right because paul talks about you know
00:59:24 not being under the law it’s about the
00:59:27 punishment of the law
00:59:31 and the law inflicted the punishment
00:59:34 it’s the law that gives the punishment
00:59:39 it’s just the judge right
00:59:41 it’s the judges that are um
00:59:45 executing it or doing it but it’s the
00:59:48 law that says it needs to happen
00:59:52 if not so the works of justice would be
00:59:56 destroyed
01:00:00 and the last one is huge
01:00:02 it tells you
01:00:05 why
01:00:06 there has to be any law and internal
01:00:08 punishment
01:00:10 and god would cease to be god
01:00:14 that is if justice was not executed
01:00:18 i mean
01:00:19 i i see this in the
01:00:21 in the history in genesis right
01:00:23 the blood crieth out against cain
01:00:28 because he slew his brother
01:00:30 yes
01:00:32 yes and
01:00:34 that’s saying that something needs to
01:00:36 happen because of the crime that
01:00:39 cain did
01:00:42 which is also a sin right
01:00:44 but anyways but god ceases not to be god
01:00:48 yay
01:00:50 what
01:00:54 okay but
01:01:00 but god ceases not to be god go ahead
01:01:05 and then look here here it says the
01:01:06 mercy klamath
01:01:08 like i was saying earlier and the mercy
01:01:11 claimeth the penitent
01:01:14 and penitent is another word for those
01:01:16 who repent
01:01:18 right
01:01:20 and mercy
01:01:22 cometh because of the atonement
01:01:26 so
01:01:27 that’s only possible
01:01:29 because of yeshua and what he did in his
01:01:32 perfect life
01:01:34 that’s right
01:01:35 and the atonement bringeth the path of
01:01:38 the resurrection of the dead
01:01:41 and that’s big
01:01:43 i
01:01:46 i don’t completely understand it
01:01:48 but
01:01:51 the resurrection
01:01:52 is a key
01:01:54 doctrine
01:01:56 um
01:01:57 for whatever reason as brought out in
01:01:59 second nephi nine if it wasn’t for the
01:02:01 resurrection we all would become angels
01:02:04 un
01:02:04 to satan
01:02:07 i’m not completely i don’t i don’t
01:02:09 understand why
01:02:11 but i do believe that teaching
01:02:14 from jacob in second nephi 9
01:02:16 that if it wasn’t for the resurrection
01:02:18 we’d all become devils unto the i mean
01:02:21 angels unto the devil
01:02:24 um
01:02:25 you broke up
01:02:27 oh
01:02:28 lovely
01:02:30 at least you’re still here
01:02:32 uh i was just saying that i said i
01:02:34 believe something
01:02:36 oh i i believe the resurrection is a
01:02:39 very
01:02:40 key
01:02:41 doctrine
01:02:43 in fact
01:02:44 jacob
01:02:46 in second nephi 9 brings out how if it
01:02:48 wasn’t for the resurrection we all
01:02:50 become angels
01:02:52 to the devil
01:02:54 jacob and then something oh
01:02:57 lovely
01:02:59 all right
01:03:00 second giving us an opportunity
01:03:03 for patience yeah that’s just true okay
01:03:06 so second by what second you find nine
01:03:12 okay got that
01:03:14 i don’t know the verse
01:03:16 really fast
01:03:18 yeah hold on let me give you the verse
01:03:20 faster than the internet i speak
01:03:23 [Music]
01:03:26 let me find the verse i don’t know the
01:03:27 verse off top of my head
01:03:38 is one where he talks about we become
01:03:41 angels to the bull
01:03:43 yeah i didn’t get why you brought that
01:03:46 up
01:03:47 oh um because the verse we’re reading
01:03:50 just in alma 42 is bringing up uh the
01:03:53 resurrection
01:03:54 in verse 23.
01:03:59 okay
01:04:03 and the mercy cometh because of the
01:04:04 atonement
01:04:06 and the atonement bringeth the prayers i
01:04:08 can’t hear you
01:04:10 and i can’t hear you uh so back on alma
01:04:14 42 can you hear me
01:04:16 okay yes
01:04:18 okay
01:04:19 so back to alma 42
01:04:22 it says
01:04:25 verse 23 and the atonement bringeth the
01:04:28 past the resurrection of the dead
01:04:31 and the resurrection of the dead
01:04:33 bringeth
01:04:35 back men into the presence of god
01:04:38 and thus they are restored into his
01:04:40 presence
01:04:42 so
01:04:43 everybody
01:04:45 goes back to god’s presence
01:04:47 at least for a little bit for judgment
01:04:49 right
01:04:51 to be judged according to their works
01:04:54 according
01:04:56 to the law
01:04:57 and justice
01:04:59 it’s not according to what they thought
01:05:00 was right
01:05:02 or according to their hearts
01:05:04 it’s according to the law he said
01:05:08 right it’s according to the law what he
01:05:10 said
01:05:11 um
01:05:12 and so
01:05:16 i i just i get annoyed with the phrase
01:05:18 well my heart was in the right place i
01:05:23 i mean jeremiah brings out how our
01:05:25 hearts are wicked right what is give me
01:05:27 one second i can give you the verse on
01:05:29 that
01:05:30 memorized
01:05:32 um
01:05:33 but
01:05:34 either way
01:05:37 it doesn’t matter
01:05:38 about the heart
01:05:40 it matters about the law
01:05:42 are you doing
01:05:44 righteousness or wickedness that’s what
01:05:47 we’re judged on right
01:05:49 so it’s jeremiah 17 9
01:05:53 the heart is deceitful above all things
01:05:58 and desperately wicked who can know it
01:06:03 um i think
01:06:04 jeremiah made it
01:06:06 pretty plain
01:06:08 pretty simple
01:06:10 very hard yeah
01:06:13 hard to miss that but i
01:06:16 a lot of people
01:06:17 i see
01:06:19 just say well my heart’s in the right
01:06:20 place that’s
01:06:24 that’s a lame excuse
01:06:26 and it’s contrary to scriptures in my
01:06:29 opinion
01:06:30 but my opinion is not very popular bree
01:06:38 that’s okay
01:06:40 lords was the neither
01:06:43 yeah yeah
01:06:45 uh 24 for behold justice exercises
01:06:50 all his demands
01:06:52 so
01:06:55 this is funny right in the book of
01:06:57 mormon
01:06:58 the holy spirit slash ghost is referred
01:07:02 to as it
01:07:04 but some people think it’s a person
01:07:07 but here justice is referred to as a he
01:07:11 masculine but people don’t say it’s a
01:07:14 fail
01:07:15 a person
01:07:17 and then i think even later it here or
01:07:19 somewhere else it talks about how mercy
01:07:22 is a female but they don’t claim that to
01:07:25 an actual person i it’s just
01:07:28 to me it’s funny
01:07:30 how they take this idea and apply it on
01:07:33 one thing that they want but they don’t
01:07:34 apply it to everything
01:07:36 it’s a i see it as a double standard
01:07:39 they just apply it where they want to
01:07:42 not everywhere right exactly
01:07:44 it goes back to this and accept that
01:07:47 yeah it yeah it does
01:07:50 um and
01:07:51 and
01:07:53 i don’t know the exact quote but joseph
01:07:54 smith has a quote something along the
01:07:56 lines if if the principle is not eternal
01:07:59 it’s from satan
01:08:02 and
01:08:03 um
01:08:05 i’d like you to find that one
01:08:09 oh okay let me look real quick maybe i
01:08:10 might have it
01:08:12 handy in my joseph smith quotes run
01:08:14 quick
01:08:17 oops yeah that was weird no
01:08:19 ah that’s not what i want
01:08:35 it’s
01:08:36 i don’t have it handy so i’ll have to
01:08:37 find it later
01:08:39 for you
01:08:40 um
01:08:41 oh and that reminds me
01:08:43 if you can find the link for
01:08:46 the
01:08:47 um
01:08:50 king
01:08:51 flight discourse you were talking about
01:08:53 last week that would be uh nice also
01:08:56 i i got just a portion of what you said
01:09:00 something king
01:09:01 uh so last week you talked about a link
01:09:04 that uh
01:09:06 is saying that the king
01:09:09 discourse from joseph smith was not from
01:09:11 joseph smith
01:09:14 yeah since you unblocked shanghai can
01:09:17 you last
01:09:18 ask her because
01:09:20 because i am so caught up with finding a
01:09:23 home hun oh okay no that makes sense
01:09:25 i’ll ask i apologize i really do but
01:09:31 i’ll just ask in her taking
01:09:36 i can completely understand that
01:09:39 i mean every day we’re out looking
01:09:42 and then i forget
01:09:43 you know what was that house where was
01:09:46 it
01:09:46 have these huge
01:09:49 steep hills that i don’t want to
01:09:53 dry when it snows and ice here
01:09:57 so so anyway
01:09:59 take pictures on your
01:10:01 take your tablet and take pictures of
01:10:03 places to help you remember but anyways
01:10:06 oh wow that’s so smart of you
01:10:10 because i could find it on my tablet
01:10:14 instead of finding it online that’s so
01:10:17 smart
01:10:18 [Music]
01:10:20 occasionally i have a few good ideas
01:10:23 [Music]
01:10:25 i know well that was a good one all
01:10:27 right that’s one of the few you have to
01:10:29 remember that
01:10:30 anyways i’ll i’ll ask her for that
01:10:34 um
01:10:35 can i um ah come on breaking up
01:10:39 again
01:10:40 all right again
01:10:42 well i was just saying i’ll ask for that
01:10:44 link in uh her group okay um
01:10:48 [Music]
01:10:49 um anyways all right
01:10:51 so where are we
01:10:54 um
01:10:55 i actually bree
01:10:57 i i need to take a little break um is it
01:11:00 time for you to take a little break
01:11:02 okay
01:11:02 that’ll work
01:11:04 all right
01:11:05 so we’re back
01:11:07 um
01:11:10 i remember we’re talking about mercy and
01:11:12 justice
01:11:13 um
01:11:14 oh so maybe 24 right
01:11:17 for behold justice exercises all his
01:11:20 demands
01:11:22 which it’s not a person
01:11:24 right
01:11:25 it’s a principle
01:11:27 and mercy claimeth
01:11:29 all which is her own
01:11:32 injustice is not a man
01:11:34 mercy’s not a female that’s just the
01:11:38 uh
01:11:40 attribute that well it’s the sex that’s
01:11:43 applied to the word
01:11:45 because
01:11:46 english doesn’t have this so much but
01:11:48 other languages
01:11:50 like spanish and hebrew have um
01:11:53 masculine words and feminine words
01:11:57 and
01:11:58 some languages have
01:12:00 neuter words meaning not masculine nor
01:12:02 vitamins so there’s three
01:12:04 sexes
01:12:06 in
01:12:06 language yeah
01:12:08 and just because it’s one spanish they
01:12:11 have the male and female
01:12:13 yeah hebrew does too um
01:12:16 hebrew if i remember correctly doesn’t
01:12:18 have a neuter
01:12:20 meaning neither male or
01:12:23 male or female or some languages like
01:12:26 english most pretty much everything is
01:12:28 neuter there’s a few things that have
01:12:31 sex to it
01:12:32 but
01:12:34 i just find it interesting that people
01:12:36 will apply
01:12:38 they forget that the book of mormon says
01:12:40 it for the holy ghost last holy spirit
01:12:44 but then they say it’s a person
01:12:48 but they don’t believe that with justice
01:12:50 and mercy
01:12:54 that’s just what i’m bringing up it’s a
01:12:55 double standard they they apply it where
01:12:58 they want to
01:12:59 where i was saying that joseph smith has
01:13:01 a quote that principles
01:13:03 if it’s eternal it’s from god if it’s
01:13:05 not it’s from satan
01:13:08 it’s a
01:13:09 that’s not the exact quote but that’s
01:13:11 basically what it says and i agree with
01:13:13 it
01:13:14 um in this case in all cases
01:13:19 it also reminds me how people will use
01:13:21 logic to prove someone else wrong but
01:13:24 when that same exact
01:13:26 logic used on them
01:13:28 it doesn’t
01:13:29 apply
01:13:30 yeah that’s that’s
01:13:32 that’s a confirmation bias is all that
01:13:34 they have on that right they don’t have
01:13:37 truth they have
01:13:39 bias
01:13:41 um but anyways
01:13:44 what do you suppose that murphy mercy
01:13:47 can rob justice
01:13:50 i say unto you nay not one wit if so god
01:13:53 would cease to be god
01:13:55 i think this gets into why their
01:13:58 atonement is needed right why christ had
01:14:01 to come down
01:14:02 because you can’t rob justice
01:14:05 and thus god bringeth about his great
01:14:08 and eternal purposes
01:14:10 which was prepared from from from the
01:14:13 foundation of the world
01:14:15 meaning
01:14:17 the atonement was planned
01:14:19 before adam right
01:14:22 god knew what was going to happen god
01:14:24 knew what’s going to happen he knows the
01:14:26 beginning from the ending
01:14:28 right
01:14:30 and thus cometh about the salvation the
01:14:34 redemption of man
01:14:35 and also their destruction and
01:14:38 misery
01:14:39 so either
01:14:40 you know life eternal or
01:14:43 eternal damnation
01:14:46 which
01:14:47 like in second nephi two it brings out
01:14:50 allah
01:14:52 yeah the ancient and allah
01:14:58 now some would say
01:15:00 oh that’s just saying because god is
01:15:02 eternal
01:15:05 right
01:15:07 but
01:15:08 god yeshua
01:15:10 got this from his father
01:15:12 he didn’t just make it up
01:15:17 god didn’t just make this up
01:15:21 he has to live by the laws too yes
01:15:24 or he will cease to be god
01:15:27 yeah
01:15:29 but that’s not going to happen because
01:15:31 he’s going to always keep the laws but
01:15:34 he has to keep the laws
01:15:38 therefore yeah
01:15:40 oh my son
01:15:41 whosoever will come
01:15:43 may come and partake of the waters
01:15:46 freely
01:15:50 freely
01:15:52 i mean that reminds me of was it james 1
01:15:55 5
01:15:56 a bradeth not
01:15:58 right those who lack wisdom meaning
01:16:00 he’ll give freely
01:16:05 and whosoever will not come
01:16:07 the same is not compelled to come so if
01:16:10 you don’t come to yeshua or god’s ways
01:16:13 because you don’t think it’s the way to
01:16:15 be right
01:16:17 but in the last day right meaning
01:16:21 judgment day
01:16:23 it shall be restored unto him according
01:16:26 to his deeds what say that again
01:16:31 what were you saying that they would
01:16:33 find out
01:16:34 they find out wait a minute
01:16:37 uh
01:16:38 what i thought
01:16:40 wasn’t so
01:16:43 hmm
01:16:44 yeah um gonna be a rude awakening
01:16:48 i think it’s wasted my day’s probation
01:16:51 like alma says don’t do it
01:16:54 or i’ll show you guys i’ve already
01:16:58 seen the light i’ve seen the damnation
01:17:01 yeah
01:17:02 he’s not kidding on that right from was
01:17:05 it no he’s not
01:17:07 alma 27 28 somewhere in that area he
01:17:13 eternal damnation he felt it his soul
01:17:17 was wrecked i think is one way that he
01:17:19 put it one time
01:17:21 right
01:17:23 yep
01:17:24 that that’s
01:17:25 a harrowing image that he gives
01:17:29 um
01:17:31 if he
01:17:32 so 28 if he
01:17:34 has desired to do evil
01:17:38 and hath not repented in his day so
01:17:40 there’s that repentance again right
01:17:43 because
01:17:44 mercy claimeth the pentant repentant
01:17:48 behold evil shall be done unto him
01:17:51 according to the restoration of god
01:17:55 now
01:17:56 i
01:17:58 in english evil might not be the best
01:18:01 term
01:18:02 but it’s basically saying
01:18:04 what you did to others
01:18:06 is what will happen to you
01:18:08 yeah
01:18:10 and we can see that in the histories in
01:18:12 the bible and the book of mormon that
01:18:14 that that’s happened and it’s going to
01:18:16 happen in the future in fact probably
01:18:18 one of my favorite ones is how
01:18:20 the great and obama
01:18:22 church is being a ditch
01:18:26 for the saints but who goes in the ditch
01:18:29 it’s the great the ones that dug it it’s
01:18:31 the ones that don’t that go into it and
01:18:33 that’s teaching the same thing
01:18:36 and now my son
01:18:38 i desire that you should let these
01:18:40 things trouble you no more
01:18:43 um regarding the justice of god
01:18:47 and that people can be punished for
01:18:49 their sins and let your own
01:18:52 sins trouble you
01:18:55 with that trouble so don’t worry about
01:18:57 what’s happening to other people
01:18:59 worry about what’s going to happen to
01:19:00 you
01:19:02 which shall bring you down unto
01:19:04 repentance
01:19:05 and
01:19:06 don’t just worry about it but worry
01:19:10 in a way that’ll make you want to repent
01:19:12 point you want to change
01:19:15 yeah
01:19:16 yeah that you want to change
01:19:19 i see the gospel is about becoming
01:19:22 not knowing
01:19:24 right if you just know something doesn’t
01:19:26 do any good
01:19:28 yeah if you just know some things but
01:19:30 you don’t become
01:19:31 you have to apply it
01:19:33 you’re probably
01:19:35 going to be condemned more they’re doing
01:19:36 the exact same thing but don’t know that
01:19:39 they’re doing is wrong i think that’s a
01:19:41 very safe statement and see
01:19:46 okay and what i see it we’re making a
01:19:49 full circle here
01:19:51 that
01:19:53 um
01:19:54 king mosiah
01:19:57 he knew
01:19:59 but he didn’t just know
01:20:01 he talked
01:20:02 he didn’t just teach
01:20:05 he applied
01:20:07 he acted upon the knowledge that he had
01:20:11 and he taught
01:20:12 others to act upon what he was teaching
01:20:17 so therefore he fulfilled
01:20:19 through the teaching is the word but
01:20:23 it’s also the deed
01:20:25 it’s also the action
01:20:28 right well um
01:20:30 a favorite verse of mine from lectures
01:20:32 on faith is um
01:20:34 lecture 2
01:20:36 56
01:20:38 that states that the people believed
01:20:40 because of the character of the people
01:20:42 who were preaching
01:20:44 yes they had fruits
01:20:47 right we don’t have fruits from the
01:20:49 leaders
01:20:51 that we had in the past
01:20:53 and we were looking at them and going
01:20:57 i’m judging you by your fruits and your
01:20:58 fruits stink
01:21:00 your fruits are lacking
01:21:02 yeah yeah yeah
01:21:04 they’re their fruits are lacking because
01:21:07 they
01:21:08 they’re not doing what they’re preaching
01:21:10 and you can see that all over
01:21:13 especially on brigham young
01:21:14 um he said one thing and did quite
01:21:16 another and history shows that
01:21:19 quite
01:21:20 abundantly
01:21:22 um it also shows that he contradicted
01:21:24 himself on a regular basis also but
01:21:28 um
01:21:29 it goes along with what you’re saying
01:21:31 though that or we’re both saying that
01:21:34 we need to practice what we preach
01:21:37 in fact absolutely
01:21:39 i forget who said it but someone said we
01:21:41 uh
01:21:43 we teach the gospel use words when
01:21:45 necessary
01:21:46 um i i do think that’s a very good quote
01:21:48 i forget who said it but
01:21:50 very good
01:21:52 one of the lds
01:21:54 one of the lds leaders said it from
01:21:56 where i first learned it i’m sure he
01:21:58 copied it from right now
01:22:01 oh
01:22:02 lovely
01:22:03 uh i was just saying i think the first
01:22:05 lds leaders
01:22:09 i i first heard that you know
01:22:12 uh
01:22:12 teach the gospel preach
01:22:14 with words when necessary from an lds
01:22:18 president
01:22:19 i don’t think he came up with it i think
01:22:21 he
01:22:22 copied it from someone else i i believe
01:22:24 that principle
01:22:26 but i don’t think they live it to be
01:22:29 honest sadly
01:22:31 um
01:22:32 i mean we could talk about tithing right
01:22:35 yeah
01:22:36 that’s the subject that woke me up
01:22:39 they don’t
01:22:40 yes but they preach
01:22:42 on that for sure
01:22:44 um anyways
01:22:46 uh let’s see
01:22:49 i’m just i don’t forget where we were
01:22:51 i’ll go to 29
01:22:53 and now my son i desire that you should
01:22:56 let these things trouble you no more
01:22:58 meaning other people’s sins and the
01:23:00 um how god
01:23:02 punishes the sinner
01:23:04 and let your own sense trouble you
01:23:08 with that trouble which shall bring you
01:23:10 down onto repentance
01:23:12 so don’t just don’t do a while
01:23:15 sitting like oh woe is me i’ve done
01:23:18 wrong but repent right
01:23:21 change become yeah i used to say i used
01:23:25 to say
01:23:27 don’t allow satan to use you as a
01:23:30 punching bag
01:23:32 just move back
01:23:34 to the word
01:23:36 just turn over and faceboard and what he
01:23:40 says to do
01:23:41 yeah that’s a good way to put it lord
01:23:43 doesn’t
01:23:44 use you as a punching bag
01:23:47 no he doesn’t
01:23:48 he inspires and teaches
01:23:51 though i like that
01:23:53 let’s work on this
01:23:55 i like how you say back away from satan
01:23:57 so he can’t hit you because for if
01:23:59 you’re moving away from satan you’re
01:24:01 moving closer to
01:24:03 to yahweh
01:24:04 um yeah i think that’s that’s beautiful
01:24:07 but and also it means he can’t reach you
01:24:08 with his hands to hit you so i i think
01:24:11 that’s a good image
01:24:13 i like that right
01:24:16 right
01:24:17 i used to tell my kids that
01:24:21 and my husband i still tell them that
01:24:26 it’s like oh wait a minute are you the
01:24:28 punching bag for the adversary
01:24:32 well yeah
01:24:34 satan
01:24:35 he’s a funny character he’ll he’ll
01:24:37 convince you to sin right
01:24:39 but then he’ll use that sin against you
01:24:41 to make him more in his
01:24:50 yeah
01:24:51 we’re god he
01:24:53 forgives us if we repent
01:24:56 like
01:24:57 and he lifts you up
01:24:59 he says lift up let’s do this together
01:25:04 but he doesn’t abandon you
01:25:06 no
01:25:06 [Music]
01:25:07 not when you’re
01:25:09 seeking to do his way he’ll continue to
01:25:11 teach you
01:25:13 fact
01:25:14 he’ll
01:25:16 right inspire you
01:25:19 every day if you let him he’ll reveal
01:25:21 things to you every day if you let him
01:25:25 but if you think you have it all
01:25:28 yes he’ll encourage you’re doing you’re
01:25:30 doing this today
01:25:32 right but if you think you have it all
01:25:34 he’s not going to help you because
01:25:37 then you don’t need them if you think
01:25:38 you have everything and have it all
01:25:40 figured out
01:25:42 which goes along with pride right well
01:25:45 it goes back to
01:25:47 it goes back to ether uh 12.
01:25:52 what 27
01:25:56 um where he personally gave us those
01:26:00 weakness
01:26:01 so we would know we had to be humble
01:26:05 before him
01:26:07 and that his grace
01:26:11 is enough
01:26:12 it it supplies
01:26:15 what is lacking
01:26:18 and then he makes whatever is weak in us
01:26:22 he turns him into a strength
01:26:24 yeah
01:26:26 that we can use in his kingdom
01:26:30 in his service that’s when we can bear
01:26:32 testimony
01:26:36 what his grace did for us
01:26:39 yeah i i think
01:26:40 in
01:26:41 at least one way that that weakness
01:26:43 becomes a strength is because we’ve
01:26:46 overcomed it
01:26:48 and then we
01:26:50 have
01:26:52 stronger faith
01:26:53 and we can help others through the same
01:26:56 charity
01:26:58 yeah
01:26:58 that’s the charity we look at others go
01:27:02 oh yeah i’ve recognized that weakness i
01:27:04 had
01:27:06 i know who can help you
01:27:09 that’s right
01:27:10 yes i i’ve been through it myself let me
01:27:13 [Music]
01:27:14 take you
01:27:16 let me teach you a few things i’ve
01:27:18 learned when i uh did that
01:27:22 what’s helped me get away from that um
01:27:26 and how bad
01:27:27 bad how bad do you want it do you want
01:27:30 it bad enough that you are crying
01:27:33 when you recognize you’ve done it again
01:27:36 and you go i want this gone
01:27:38 i want this out
01:27:41 of my life
01:27:42 once and for all
01:27:44 and you know what the lord showed me a
01:27:46 dream a lord the lord showed me a dream
01:27:50 years ago i must have been like
01:27:53 19
01:27:55 and i would have this dream three times
01:27:58 in a night and then
01:28:00 i would have it another time and it was
01:28:03 always
01:28:04 when he was taking me to the next step
01:28:07 and the dream was i was on my stomach
01:28:11 and my back was fair and my
01:28:14 back was black
01:28:17 it wasn’t just black it was burned it
01:28:20 was charred
01:28:22 okay
01:28:23 and there was someone
01:28:26 scraping
01:28:28 it
01:28:29 by layer
01:28:32 after layer
01:28:34 and
01:28:36 it was because of my abuse
01:28:38 childhood
01:28:39 sexual abuse physical abuse emotional
01:28:42 abuse that i had to go through
01:28:45 and
01:28:46 he was showing me
01:28:49 he knew
01:28:51 i had been damaged
01:28:55 and that
01:28:58 his grace is sufficient for what has
01:29:02 happened in my life
01:29:05 and
01:29:06 that he was personally
01:29:10 sending
01:29:11 someone
01:29:13 to minister to me
01:29:15 as the layers were being removed i
01:29:18 thought it was instant
01:29:20 you know it was going to be healed boom
01:29:23 baby i’m healed i’m clean it’s over i’m
01:29:27 a new person and i found
01:29:30 in my personal life
01:29:32 because of my hang-ups and because of
01:29:34 the traditions of the fathers the sins
01:29:38 of the fathers
01:29:39 that it was a
01:29:42 process
01:29:43 and so when i look at the scriptures now
01:29:46 i say
01:29:47 was it boom baby
01:29:50 you were a new creature or was it
01:29:52 that you had to
01:29:54 really learn
01:29:57 i i had to do things differently
01:30:01 yeah
01:30:02 the
01:30:03 growing is a process the desire can
01:30:05 happen immediately
01:30:07 but
01:30:09 putting the desire into practice takes
01:30:11 time and that’s a process
01:30:14 um because
01:30:15 and it goes back to alma five can you
01:30:18 see this that you felt when you were
01:30:22 repenting
01:30:23 do you feel so feel it now yeah can you
01:30:25 feel it now
01:30:26 yeah it’s something we continually have
01:30:28 to do in fact
01:30:30 and i have to check
01:30:31 i i can say that in my own life when i
01:30:34 woke up in 2014
01:30:36 to now
01:30:37 i’m still learning
01:30:39 and figuring things out
01:30:41 and still reaping right well we don’t
01:30:43 have it figured out
01:30:46 well some things yes some things no
01:30:48 um yeah
01:30:50 but
01:30:51 i i don’t have it all figured out
01:30:54 no right but some things yes uh
01:30:57 hopefully you can say the same thing and
01:30:58 i think you would hopefully you would
01:31:00 say the same thing also
01:31:03 that some things yes something yeah
01:31:06 oh yes yes absolutely
01:31:09 so i know that as the heat
01:31:12 is turned up
01:31:14 the trials become more bitter
01:31:18 and more
01:31:19 at your front door
01:31:23 you know
01:31:24 we are going to have to have that
01:31:27 witness
01:31:29 burning
01:31:30 that fire burning inside us to be able
01:31:34 to stand
01:31:36 committed
01:31:38 yes to his commandments
01:31:40 um in fact i think it’s lectures on
01:31:43 faith lecture six
01:31:45 brings that out is the reasons the
01:31:48 ancients were able to withstand
01:31:50 so much persecutions
01:31:52 is because they had their pertinent
01:31:55 personal witness not just because
01:31:56 someone else believed it
01:31:58 because i believe it
01:32:01 and know it now you can’t borrow someone
01:32:03 else’s light
01:32:04 no yeah that’s like uh the 10 virgins
01:32:07 right they wanted to borrow someone
01:32:08 else’s light you can’t do that you can’t
01:32:11 sell your lights
01:32:13 right
01:32:14 um but one thing as you were talking
01:32:17 about um how we need to do some ourself
01:32:19 that reminds me
01:32:21 of nephi
01:32:23 when his brothers bound him
01:32:26 on the way back from getting the wives
01:32:31 they bound him and we’re going to leave
01:32:33 him to die in the wilderness and nephi
01:32:35 prayed
01:32:37 let me burst these
01:32:40 belts
01:32:41 these chains or i don’t know the exact
01:32:43 wordings but you didn’t burst them
01:32:46 god made them
01:32:47 loose meaning he made it easier for him
01:32:50 to get out his own
01:32:52 he helped him but he nephi still had to
01:32:54 put in some work
01:32:56 yes
01:32:57 um
01:32:59 and so i i think nephi learned the same
01:33:01 thing
01:33:02 i mean
01:33:04 we i think nephi’s a great guy
01:33:07 um but he did learning too just like we
01:33:09 are well he said
01:33:13 he says in second nephi chapter four you
01:33:16 know
01:33:18 i’m a wretched soul
01:33:20 you know i keep on i i’m falling for the
01:33:23 same thing maybe muttons are being
01:33:25 pushed at this time
01:33:28 is the way the lord explained it to me
01:33:31 he says you know his buttons got pushed
01:33:33 too honey
01:33:35 i’m like really okay
01:33:40 he turned to me
01:33:42 the key was he constantly
01:33:45 says i know who i trust in i know who
01:33:49 delivers me
01:33:51 i know where my strength comes from and
01:33:54 it wasn’t man
01:33:56 and
01:33:58 it wasn’t his father lehi
01:34:01 because
01:34:02 they would have starved i mean even
01:34:04 lehigh says this they would have starved
01:34:06 if
01:34:07 nephi would have relied only on his
01:34:10 father
01:34:11 right
01:34:12 right on god it’s not the leaders that
01:34:15 we should lean on
01:34:16 it’s god
01:34:18 um but also i think it’s in um that same
01:34:22 chapter ii 5 4
01:34:24 nephi says he strove or strives
01:34:28 to keep the commandments of god which i
01:34:30 think it is
01:34:33 admitting he still made mistakes
01:34:36 yes but then he corrected it after
01:34:38 because that’s part of striving once you
01:34:40 notice that you broke it
01:34:42 you fix it right and you turn back you
01:34:45 repent which is all you can do all we
01:34:47 can do is repent
01:34:50 and he he’s frustrated
01:34:53 you know he groans because of
01:34:57 this
01:34:58 weakness this man he wants it gone it
01:35:01 kind of reminds me how when he says i’ve
01:35:03 got this thorn in my flesh i asked
01:35:07 i asked the lord to remove it but
01:35:10 he didn’t
01:35:12 and so
01:35:13 i had been told
01:35:15 that i had been given
01:35:17 this weakness
01:35:19 and that
01:35:21 it was to keep me in remembrance of
01:35:25 being humble you know turning to him
01:35:29 because otherwise
01:35:31 i would think hey freeze got it all
01:35:34 together
01:35:35 you know
01:35:36 and doesn’t need anything
01:35:39 but i can’t say that yeah well the pride
01:35:43 cycle comes very clear in um
01:35:46 the helaman chapters and um
01:35:49 oh yes and in the old testament during
01:35:52 the times of the judges
01:35:53 is another example of it um that they
01:35:56 they thought they had it all together
01:35:58 and they they didn’t
01:36:00 it’s when we when we are prosperous we
01:36:03 have a more
01:36:04 of a greater tendency to forget god not
01:36:07 always
01:36:09 but a greater tendency to forget well
01:36:12 that
01:36:13 we saw that last week
01:36:15 that it was constantly the costly
01:36:19 apparel
01:36:21 costly clothing
01:36:23 that brought that any equality
01:36:26 yeah and brought
01:36:28 the
01:36:28 price
01:36:30 downward
01:36:31 fourth nephi that was a key thing that
01:36:34 started to bring it down was that costly
01:36:36 apparel
01:36:37 yes
01:36:38 um
01:36:39 it’s i want to look better than you
01:36:41 rather than being equals or part of the
01:36:44 same body i mean if you’re trying to
01:36:46 look better than somebody else
01:36:49 you don’t think you’re of that same body
01:36:51 i mean paul put it right does the hand
01:36:54 say to the foot i’m better than you
01:36:57 i mean that’s not an exact quote right
01:36:59 but that’s kind of what he’s getting at
01:37:01 right
01:37:02 we’re we’re the same we’re helping each
01:37:04 other one’s not better than the other
01:37:07 but these this costly apparel is to make
01:37:09 it
01:37:10 you feel another see that you believe
01:37:12 you’re more important than others
01:37:16 right
01:37:17 um
01:37:19 right
01:37:20 i’ll be honest
01:37:22 when i get back to the states
01:37:24 i
01:37:26 don’t know if i’m gonna go back to a
01:37:28 church that does business
01:37:31 attire
01:37:33 well you were talking about
01:37:36 you know independence and stuff and i’m
01:37:39 like
01:37:40 father when i think of that
01:37:42 that’s exactly what they’re doing
01:37:44 yeah that costly apparel that certain
01:37:47 dress
01:37:48 you have to conform its unity
01:37:51 um uniform
01:37:54 mentality
01:37:55 yeah i
01:37:57 i i’ve seen i’ve watched some of the
01:37:59 services online with some of the
01:38:00 churches and independents they have
01:38:02 their business dress
01:38:04 yes
01:38:05 yes
01:38:06 and so i asked him where is it that you
01:38:09 really want us
01:38:11 to stand
01:38:14 who you want to stand
01:38:17 with
01:38:18 and where
01:38:21 well my
01:38:23 i hope that um well i want to continue
01:38:26 this
01:38:27 forever as long as you’re willing you or
01:38:29 someone else or is willing to keep
01:38:31 meeting with me because
01:38:33 i i like this
01:38:35 just personal study going wherever the
01:38:37 spirit takes us i think it’s oh i do too
01:38:41 much more informative than generally
01:38:42 what happens in churches
01:38:45 but
01:38:46 i’ll be honest i do want to visit some
01:38:48 of those other churches
01:38:50 but i think i’ll go on street clothes
01:38:53 i i’m just
01:38:55 it may ruffle a few feathers but i
01:38:59 i’m just like
01:39:04 christ didn’t go on business attire why
01:39:06 should i
01:39:08 exactly
01:39:10 [Music]
01:39:14 that claim him wouldn’t accept him as he
01:39:17 is
01:39:18 to be honest that’s right
01:39:21 that’s right
01:39:23 i mean in the lds church right now you
01:39:26 can’t get a high calling if you have a
01:39:28 beard
01:39:28 [Music]
01:39:30 so
01:39:30 yeah what is that long hair
01:39:33 yeah yeah well i
01:39:37 i know christ having long hair can can
01:39:39 be a controversial subject i don’t
01:39:42 believe he had hair
01:39:44 past his
01:39:47 shoulders as some people would i don’t
01:39:50 think he had long hair he was not a
01:39:52 nazarene that he was
01:39:56 you need to clarify he so the ones with
01:39:59 long hair took the nazarene vow oh
01:40:03 right now nothing oath val and then you
01:40:06 don’t cut your hair but they didn’t
01:40:09 take it forever it was just for a period
01:40:11 of time now samsung
01:40:14 is a
01:40:15 interesting exception to that but for
01:40:17 the most part you maybe do it for a
01:40:20 couple months six months or maybe a year
01:40:22 you didn’t take it for your whole life
01:40:24 wasn’t it for a
01:40:26 particular service
01:40:29 um
01:40:31 it was to get closer to god and so you
01:40:34 gave your
01:40:35 things up
01:40:37 um
01:40:37 but it was not a lifetime foul it was a
01:40:41 temporary vow
01:40:43 but jesus strike joke okay drink wine
01:40:47 blah i can say the right way of
01:40:50 tense on it and the nazarene couldn’t
01:40:55 when they were on the nazarene val they
01:40:57 couldn’t
01:40:58 because that’s part of the vow is not to
01:41:01 partake of the sacrament which in my
01:41:03 mind
01:41:04 is
01:41:05 why
01:41:06 wine for the sacrament’s not a
01:41:08 requirement is because the nazarene vow
01:41:13 didn’t want to deny those
01:41:15 taking the vow the sacrament
01:41:18 because the nazarene vow
01:41:20 that’s my opinion
01:41:22 is why it’s not a requirement
01:41:24 but as i read through the scriptures
01:41:26 it’s highly preferred to use wine for
01:41:29 the sacrament just not a requirement to
01:41:32 use it
01:41:40 they’re yelling
01:41:42 do you need a moment or
01:41:51 they come down in my area and then i
01:41:53 can’t hear you because
01:41:56 even though
01:41:57 i have headphones on
01:41:59 you can still hear it
01:42:02 oh yeah
01:42:03 that’s nice
01:42:05 yes it is
01:42:07 okay
01:42:08 well just real quick
01:42:10 jesus drank wine this is my favorite
01:42:12 verse for that luke 7 33-34 so okay john
01:42:17 the baptist didn’t drink wine so
01:42:19 it gives a little context for this for
01:42:22 john the baptist and this is yeshua
01:42:24 speaking for john the baptist came
01:42:26 neither drinking either sorry either
01:42:29 eating bread nor drinking wine and you
01:42:32 say he hath the devil
01:42:34 and the son of man yeshua me because
01:42:38 this is jesus speaking
01:42:40 is come what it’s luke 7
01:42:44 33 34
01:42:48 7 33
01:42:50 okay
01:42:52 yeah
01:42:53 and so
01:42:54 verse 33 yes was talking about john the
01:42:57 baptist and then verse 34 he contrasts
01:43:00 himself with john the baptist
01:43:02 the son of man yeshua
01:43:05 is come eating and drinking
01:43:08 and you say behold a gluttonous man and
01:43:11 a winebibber a friend of
01:43:13 republicans and sinners
01:43:22 jesus did not take the nazarene vow or
01:43:25 the nazarene oath or however you like to
01:43:27 say it
01:43:28 um he drank
01:43:31 fact he is saying
01:43:33 that the leaders in his day called him a
01:43:36 wine bibber and a wine bibber is someone
01:43:39 who drinks too much wine i mean he he
01:43:41 never got drunk because
01:43:43 the scriptures don’t think it’s against
01:43:45 alcohol they teach against being drunk
01:43:48 jesus didn’t get drunk but he did drink
01:44:02 [Music]
01:44:05 the leaders were trying to make his
01:44:06 drinking look worse than what it was
01:44:11 um and that was not the case it’s
01:44:18 this idea that many christians have that
01:44:22 wine is bad it comes out of the
01:44:25 temperance or um
01:44:28 movement
01:44:30 which actually the word of wisdom
01:44:33 teaches against temperance
01:44:35 because temperance is like no alcohol
01:44:38 no meat and the word of wisdom says
01:44:41 something different it says
01:44:43 it says
01:44:45 lying for the sacrament
01:44:47 and it says
01:44:48 beer is good for men and that you should
01:44:51 eat meat sparingly all the time
01:44:54 right against temperance
01:44:58 and then what was it 1920
01:45:01 the
01:45:02 um prohibition
01:45:05 took away wine for the most part but you
01:45:07 know this is ironic
01:45:10 so the lds church before 1920 had
01:45:14 the dixie wine mission where they made
01:45:16 their own wine for sacrament
01:45:20 but then the president of the church at
01:45:22 that time used that as a way to stop
01:45:24 using wine
01:45:25 right
01:45:26 [Music]
01:45:27 but it was actually legal even during
01:45:30 prohibition to use wine for the
01:45:32 sacrament
01:45:34 so they didn’t have to stop they just
01:45:36 used
01:45:37 use
01:45:38 because they wanted to stop
01:45:40 just like didn’t they want to be like
01:45:44 the
01:45:46 um
01:45:46 christians
01:45:49 uh i’ve come across that they didn’t go
01:45:52 back to wine because they were trying to
01:45:53 convert protestants who thought wine was
01:45:56 evil so they just
01:45:58 did things to try to get um protestant
01:46:01 converts in fact that’s why they
01:46:04 i don’t like the crucifix okay and i
01:46:07 believe it’s pagan
01:46:08 but the eldest church used to use the
01:46:10 crucifix and they stopped around the
01:46:13 same time 1920s to get protestant
01:46:16 converts
01:46:19 um but that’s what that’s what i see
01:46:23 they’re
01:46:24 constantly
01:46:26 compromising
01:46:28 well i would call it changing
01:46:30 compromising is is implying changing so
01:46:33 it’s yes they’re they’re compromising
01:46:36 changing to get more people to be more
01:46:38 accepted of men
01:46:41 yes um well they compromise and then
01:46:45 they totally
01:46:47 abandon is what he says
01:46:50 the first is
01:46:51 warm you know the compromise you’re
01:46:54 gonna please man
01:46:57 when you’re pleasing man
01:46:59 then you are turning
01:47:02 away from him to the point that you
01:47:05 totally abandoned
01:47:07 if you don’t return they have not
01:47:09 returned no they have not and and
01:47:13 you know
01:47:15 and they don’t tell history correctly
01:47:18 it’s a good thing that the scriptures
01:47:19 are written by the lds church because
01:47:22 the scriptures show the faults of man in
01:47:24 them
01:47:25 even the leaders like abraham the
01:47:27 scriptures clearly show his faults and
01:47:30 jacob he had faults he didn’t they
01:47:33 didn’t tear him out
01:47:35 no they didn’t tear them out so oops
01:47:36 said this is going to make me look bad
01:47:39 yeah they left them but the others
01:47:41 church they take everything out the
01:47:42 things that makes them look bad and you
01:47:44 know what even on their third rendition
01:47:47 of their history they still don’t get
01:47:49 things right
01:47:52 [Music]
01:47:55 you know even faithful lds members bring
01:47:58 out how they’re not bringing out history
01:48:01 correctly in the saints book faithful
01:48:04 lds members are saying that they’re
01:48:06 saying people like you and me
01:48:09 faithful ones that still believe that
01:48:12 the leaders are prophets which
01:48:14 i don’t know why they think that to be
01:48:16 honest when they’re seeing these errors
01:48:18 but anyways that’s a whole other subject
01:48:22 um but
01:48:23 torah free
01:48:25 tells us to keep correct history and
01:48:28 that’s why we see that the prophets
01:48:31 were faulty and even in the dnc we see
01:48:35 that yeshua chewed out joseph smith
01:48:42 oh yes
01:48:43 and also the first thing
01:48:46 that
01:48:47 i mean that i see what the lord did in
01:48:51 uh ensure that
01:48:53 they had right commandments the right
01:48:56 witnesses
01:48:58 when
01:48:59 he came as resurrected
01:49:02 um
01:49:02 messiah
01:49:04 he
01:49:06 asked
01:49:07 let me see your records
01:49:11 let’s clean them
01:49:13 uh yeah because they forgot the the
01:49:16 prophecy of
01:49:17 was it sammy the lamanite i think they
01:49:19 actually
01:49:20 forgot was it right that would be
01:49:22 important
01:49:24 but yeah they forgot some things in
01:49:26 their records i don’t think they
01:49:27 purposely didn’t put it they i think it
01:49:29 was an honest mistake
01:49:31 it was the way that i read those
01:49:34 when he’s talking well
01:49:36 what i saw is
01:49:38 that
01:49:42 the enemy
01:49:44 in alma
01:49:46 and the king’s men and different things
01:49:51 the nephites had turned away from lord
01:49:56 [Music]
01:50:00 the majority of the knee fights did turn
01:50:02 away but
01:50:03 some
01:50:04 weren’t because like nephi didn’t
01:50:08 no he didn’t but
01:50:10 um
01:50:11 and it points out
01:50:13 here is a a good man nephi okay but then
01:50:16 they had wars and they had this and that
01:50:19 so i just kind of go back and go
01:50:22 hmm um
01:50:25 we have
01:50:26 jerem omni
01:50:30 you know
01:50:31 shimesh kemesh whatever amiron you know
01:50:35 uh
01:50:36 we
01:50:37 there’s the more wicked part of the
01:50:39 nephites they’re destroyed the lord
01:50:41 suffered them they you know we were led
01:50:44 out
01:50:44 of the jerusalem he’s just recounting a
01:50:48 synopsis i think okay they kept they
01:50:51 preserved them
01:50:53 um from falling into the hands of the
01:50:56 enemy
01:50:57 he would not suffer that the word should
01:50:59 be verified
01:51:01 um which he spake unto others saying in
01:51:03 his matches ye will not keep my
01:51:05 commandments you shall not prosper
01:51:08 so
01:51:09 he says and it came to pass i delivered
01:51:11 the plate and to my brother hamish
01:51:15 we didn’t get a whole lot but there
01:51:19 could have been
01:51:20 stuff going on
01:51:22 oh they’re definitely fine was you know
01:51:25 in fact
01:51:27 there’s a lot more on the large plates
01:51:30 than what we got here in this
01:51:31 abridgement
01:51:33 yeah none we didn’t even get a hundredth
01:51:35 apart brie right
01:51:37 so
01:51:39 um and
01:51:40 this is after he cleaned it the app
01:51:45 yeah you know
01:51:47 one thing i think it goes
01:51:49 along with what you’re saying here’s
01:51:50 something i i realized
01:51:52 actually last night
01:51:54 because it’s
01:51:55 so i i put
01:51:57 samuel the lamanites prophecy in my post
01:52:00 that i’m working on
01:52:01 [Music]
01:52:03 and i felt inspired to do that but i
01:52:06 find it i’m not putting this in the post
01:52:08 but i find it interesting
01:52:09 [Music]
01:52:10 that
01:52:11 before his coming
01:52:13 those who claim to be righteous for
01:52:15 wicked that’s going to happen again to
01:52:16 the second coming as the first
01:52:19 but
01:52:19 here here’s the interesting part i bring
01:52:22 out the wall
01:52:24 how sadly the lamanite went on a wall
01:52:28 and
01:52:29 in genesis
01:52:32 yeah um but in genesis
01:52:36 uh joseph
01:52:38 of egypt was told that his posterity
01:52:40 will go over the wall
01:52:42 which is where it’s the book of mormon
01:52:45 it’s
01:52:47 the lehites
01:52:48 and whose record is supposed to prepare
01:52:50 us just before the second coming
01:52:53 it’s the book of mormon
01:52:55 it’s another testament i find
01:52:59 that interesting you were led to that
01:53:02 and so was i oh because i had just read
01:53:05 that to alan and i said why is he
01:53:08 staying over the wall
01:53:11 it’s because joseph’s significant about
01:53:14 that
01:53:15 joseph of egypt’s prosperity goes over
01:53:18 the wall
01:53:20 meaning they went to the isles of the
01:53:22 sea
01:53:23 meaning
01:53:24 heartland
01:53:27 uh
01:53:28 okay
01:53:29 and what does the book of mormon stick
01:53:31 up it’s the stick of joseph
01:53:33 yes it’s his prosperity that went over
01:53:36 the wall
01:53:38 oh i know where i got that because i was
01:53:40 looking in
01:53:42 into the stick of joseph
01:53:45 in the hand of ephraim the the new book
01:53:48 of mormon that they’ve done in the
01:53:50 hebrew
01:53:52 and it was like father
01:53:54 yes and
01:53:56 i said
01:53:59 he’s supposed to be spending time with
01:54:01 this and so i was led to it and we read
01:54:04 the introduction and it said over the
01:54:08 wall and so then the spirit led me you
01:54:11 know to other scriptures
01:54:13 and it was like father i have a question
01:54:16 yes we’re supposed to remember
01:54:18 the jews but
01:54:20 this was then reformed egyptian
01:54:24 to the point
01:54:27 that the
01:54:28 language
01:54:30 was not available and joseph smith
01:54:33 relied
01:54:34 upon you
01:54:37 to translate to interpret
01:54:40 what this record
01:54:45 so my question is
01:54:47 are we being distracted going back to
01:54:50 the ways of the jews
01:54:53 what about
01:54:54 the egyptian
01:54:57 where
01:54:59 did they play
01:55:01 in this part
01:55:02 and so
01:55:03 that kind of just i wrote all that down
01:55:08 and thought yep i’m going to bring this
01:55:10 up in our study tonight
01:55:13 and so since you brought it up
01:55:16 i thought
01:55:17 it’s so cool
01:55:19 how the lord works
01:55:21 it’s gonna get real public so
01:55:25 i i know some how the
01:55:28 stick of joseph
01:55:30 meaning the snifi uh
01:55:33 jewish edition of the book of mormon
01:55:35 came about and it was came about in
01:55:37 deception
01:55:39 um i i wondered
01:55:42 about that because i remember you saying
01:55:45 something and i said father are we to
01:55:48 have this in our hands or is this a
01:55:50 distraction
01:55:52 is this a detour
01:55:55 oh you do not
01:55:57 want me to go in
01:55:58 oh this the snuff right
01:56:01 hebrew edition
01:56:03 yes being a distraction um
01:56:06 yes
01:56:07 that’s what i’m trying to figure out so
01:56:09 i just sent you a comment
01:56:12 that i’ve a post i wrote about james
01:56:15 trump
01:56:17 but james trum
01:56:19 but his his full name is james scott
01:56:22 trum
01:56:24 has a history
01:56:26 of deceiving those who believe in the
01:56:28 book of mormon
01:56:30 um
01:56:31 wait a minute he has a history and then
01:56:34 you broke up
01:56:36 of deceiving people
01:56:38 who believe in the book of mormon
01:56:42 okay how can they be deceived if they
01:56:45 believe in the book of mormon
01:56:50 so he has a five
01:56:53 or no a six step plan
01:56:55 he brings in
01:56:58 scott i mean james scott trump breaking
01:57:01 up
01:57:03 james scott trump
01:57:06 has a six step plan to get people off of
01:57:10 the book of mormon
01:57:13 why would he help
01:57:15 okay this question comes to my mind then
01:57:17 then why would he help
01:57:20 the individuals that believe in the
01:57:22 mormon to
01:57:25 do a stick i mean do the record
01:57:29 that’s going to
01:57:30 lead others to believe in the book of
01:57:33 mormon or is he what do lawyers do
01:57:37 why do lawyers help the guilty or the
01:57:39 innocent
01:57:43 well it depends on
01:57:45 which lawyer you’re talking about are
01:57:47 you talking about a good lawyer
01:57:49 because he’s because he’s got paid
01:57:52 uh there’s websites that he has put out
01:57:55 that he
01:57:56 has a translation in the book of mormon
01:57:58 he’s waiting for someone to pay him for
01:58:01 someone paid him
01:58:05 what
01:58:08 james
01:58:10 scott trump
01:58:11 has looked for people to pay him to make
01:58:16 a hebrew-ish
01:58:18 book of mormon someone has paid him
01:58:26 question
01:58:28 okay
01:58:29 do you think
01:58:30 the lord
01:58:32 would use
01:58:34 a wicked individual to bring about
01:58:37 righteousness
01:58:39 do you think that the
01:58:41 satan do you think satan looks like an
01:58:43 angel of light
01:58:48 i do
01:58:49 yeah so god uses everything for his good
01:58:54 good and evil
01:58:56 will ultimately show how god in his ways
01:58:59 are true and righteous
01:59:02 but god allows people to do whatever
01:59:05 they
01:59:06 damn well please including sinning and
01:59:09 deceiving
01:59:11 well if they wanted illusion or delusion
01:59:16 then that’s exactly what they’ll get
01:59:19 yeah so god allows people to get
01:59:21 deceived and deluded
01:59:24 um
01:59:25 wow
01:59:26 so i sent you a comment to get some more
01:59:28 details your second witness of what i
01:59:31 was feeling
01:59:33 oh so
01:59:34 i’m glad to hear you were feeling the
01:59:36 same
01:59:37 thing without me getting into details
01:59:41 oh i was reading it to alan
01:59:45 and i said well wait a minute
01:59:48 alan the spirit
01:59:50 is asking me if this might be a
01:59:53 distraction
01:59:55 and i said how could it be a distraction
01:59:58 and i started talking about the
02:00:01 conversation that i was having with the
02:00:03 spirit and i said i know one thing
02:00:06 and and i was just led
02:00:08 one scripture after another i said when
02:00:11 so-and-so was teaching his son
02:00:14 and he says it is in the language of our
02:00:18 fathers we must retain
02:00:21 i said
02:00:22 it’s so important this
02:00:24 language that they
02:00:27 had
02:00:29 but everybody had it not everybody was
02:00:31 using it in their daily conversation
02:00:34 but these sons these record keepers
02:00:38 had
02:00:39 the language and we
02:00:41 were looking at
02:00:44 and going okay
02:00:46 they had brother jared
02:00:49 brother jared had adamic language
02:00:53 because he begged
02:00:55 he pleaded with the lord please
02:00:58 don’t
02:00:59 corrupt our language
02:01:04 right yeah so this language has to be a
02:01:08 dominant
02:01:09 well
02:01:10 so i think it’s even more than that
02:01:12 three um so
02:01:14 mosiah 26 is a good example of what i’ll
02:01:18 bring out because
02:01:19 just because you say the same words
02:01:22 doesn’t mean you understand the language
02:01:24 behind it okay so mosiah 26
02:01:28 verse 1 talks about the rising
02:01:30 generation after
02:01:33 2
02:01:34 through 5 was given yeah
02:01:37 they didn’t understand
02:01:39 but you know what they didn’t speak a
02:01:40 whole different new language it wasn’t
02:01:42 like english versus german
02:01:47 they they all
02:01:48 still spoke hebrew but yet they did not
02:01:51 understand
02:01:53 understanding the language doesn’t mean
02:01:56 that you
02:01:57 don’t speak quote-unquote the language
02:02:01 dialect it means the dialect
02:02:03 it means you don’t understand what’s
02:02:05 the meaning behind it
02:02:08 right and i think mozambique 26 is a
02:02:11 great example of that they did not
02:02:14 believe
02:02:16 they said they did not believe
02:02:19 the tradition
02:02:21 yeah and because they didn’t believe it
02:02:23 didn’t make sense to them and they they
02:02:25 didn’t understand it
02:02:27 they they wouldn’t apply it so they
02:02:30 couldn’t understand it
02:02:32 because when you take
02:02:34 what you’re taught
02:02:37 it’s like okay so i hear it
02:02:40 but
02:02:41 once you apply it
02:02:44 you start seeing how it will benefit
02:02:47 your relationship
02:02:49 it’ll benefit your opportunities
02:02:54 you know your life changes
02:02:57 your perspective
02:02:58 changes
02:03:01 sure
02:03:02 yes
02:03:04 um
02:03:05 but they wouldn’t do that
02:03:06 right so it’s not just
02:03:09 the spoken language it’s like the
02:03:11 dialect or understanding the meanings
02:03:13 behind what’s being
02:03:16 said
02:03:17 um
02:03:18 i
02:03:19 okay
02:03:21 but i am glad to hear it sounds like the
02:03:24 spirit told you to
02:03:26 not focus on it um
02:03:29 i thought hey
02:03:31 do i need to have this
02:03:33 you know are you going to provide a way
02:03:35 for me to have this record if it if it
02:03:38 is so important
02:03:40 and i was concerned because
02:03:43 what every cent is going to looking for
02:03:46 oh it’s ridiculous
02:03:48 for this
02:03:49 we figured out
02:03:51 it is
02:03:52 1900 so far
02:03:55 it was 21
02:03:56 if we went to another house
02:03:59 we
02:04:00 have to have them up with 2100
02:04:03 plus down to 1900
02:04:09 so
02:04:09 why couldn’t we get a home right
02:04:12 sure
02:04:13 no
02:04:15 we’re still struggling trying to figure
02:04:18 out and so i was looking at this and i’m
02:04:20 going farther if they have followed your
02:04:23 spirit
02:04:24 and they have opened the way for greater
02:04:27 understanding of your record here that i
02:04:31 so love
02:04:32 and i can see your doctor and i can see
02:04:35 your gospel i see the witnesses you’ve
02:04:37 provided for me are you gonna make me a
02:04:40 way for me to have this
02:04:42 and that’s when he started saying
02:04:45 is this the distraction
02:04:47 well i don’t know if it’s a distraction
02:04:50 or not let me think about this what do
02:04:52 you mean by this you know
02:04:55 the conversation went bad
02:04:58 so fruits right
02:05:00 um
02:05:01 uh you’re you’ve
02:05:03 i don’t see you now
02:05:05 you later brie oh you’re back so
02:05:08 i i know a lot more than what i’m saying
02:05:12 oh you’re still frozen
02:05:14 bree
02:05:16 hello
02:05:17 i’m gonna pause for a minute yeah
02:05:20 i kept on moving
02:05:22 oh well you got froze oh maybe it was me
02:05:25 this time i don’t know anyways
02:05:28 so
02:05:28 i’ll tell you this
02:05:30 by their fruits you shall know them
02:05:33 but adrian
02:05:35 larson
02:05:36 big guy in the snuffer movement right
02:05:40 he has publicly said
02:05:43 okay
02:05:44 that the stick of joseph is not for him
02:05:48 that he doesn’t have to follow what’s in
02:05:49 it
02:05:50 he has said that publicly
02:05:55 in recordings on
02:05:57 nephrite archives
02:06:00 because they’re trying to convert jews
02:06:02 [Music]
02:06:03 they’re trying to convert jews to their
02:06:05 movement
02:06:07 but why would okay
02:06:09 sorry brings up another question
02:06:12 how can it convert jews if
02:06:17 the word i want to use is counterfeit
02:06:20 that’s what’s coming to me through the
02:06:22 spirit
02:06:24 how will that work
02:06:26 how would that
02:06:28 be a good thing it’s not how did we used
02:06:31 to believe that the least church was
02:06:33 true
02:06:34 we were deceived well
02:06:36 it led i know even though we received
02:06:39 it led
02:06:41 me to having a deeper relationship with
02:06:44 my savior
02:06:46 he gave me a love for his word well
02:06:50 that’s because you
02:06:51 actually wanted to follow christ it’s
02:06:53 not because that’s the goal of the
02:06:55 church though
02:06:56 because the goal of the church is to
02:06:57 follow the prophet not the fall of god
02:07:00 and that’s why the brethren had a
02:07:02 problem with me
02:07:04 well yeah it’s
02:07:07 and so
02:07:08 god brought good out of the bad
02:07:11 right like for example you and me
02:07:14 but it’s still evil
02:07:18 that doesn’t mean god can’t use evil for
02:07:20 his good purposes because he does
02:07:23 that’s what
02:07:27 well
02:07:28 okay so
02:07:29 there could be
02:07:30 somebody jewish there could be someone
02:07:34 that’s
02:07:36 able
02:07:37 to see
02:07:38 truth
02:07:40 amidst
02:07:43 the
02:07:44 deception
02:07:45 sure yeah
02:07:47 um and and i know more than i can say
02:07:50 about the stick of joseph because of
02:07:52 promises i’ve made to people
02:07:54 but
02:07:55 okay it was created in well i know it’s
02:07:58 not for me
02:08:00 um
02:08:01 [Music]
02:08:02 i got the answer
02:08:04 it’s not for me i don’t have to worry
02:08:06 about it i sent you something i wrote a
02:08:08 while back about it and maybe i’ll put
02:08:10 it on my blog now since we talked about
02:08:12 it here in this uh video
02:08:14 so other people can see it
02:08:17 okay um and interestingly enough someone
02:08:20 else asked me about it today or
02:08:23 yesterday also so maybe i should put it
02:08:27 my comment on my blog and then
02:08:30 just refer people to that if they want
02:08:32 more because
02:08:34 i can’t say more because of my promises
02:08:36 that i’ve made
02:08:37 but
02:08:38 i will say this okay well adrian has
02:08:41 publicly said
02:08:44 in a video on the snuff right archive
02:08:47 site
02:08:48 that it’s not for him
02:08:52 so he doesn’t believe it
02:08:55 and that
02:08:56 denver snuffer
02:08:59 yeah but it’s not for him that’s his own
02:09:01 words not mine i’m not taking it out of
02:09:03 the con context
02:09:09 so they’re saying
02:09:10 i it’s not for me because i’m a gentile
02:09:14 but it’s for you
02:09:16 because you’re a jew is that what i’m
02:09:18 hearing
02:09:20 yeah that’s i think that’s what he’s
02:09:21 saying but it it’s
02:09:23 it’s the book of mormon how could it not
02:09:26 be for him it’s just using
02:09:28 hebrew words instead of english words
02:09:31 what
02:09:33 difference does it make
02:09:35 that’s what i am
02:09:39 perplexed over
02:09:41 how
02:09:42 it not be
02:09:44 for you when it has those principles
02:09:47 that are
02:09:48 what the lord taught
02:09:50 well for example joseph smith said
02:09:53 the book of mormon is the most correct
02:09:54 book on earth and anyone who lives by
02:09:56 the principles taught therein will get
02:09:59 closer to god than any other book
02:10:02 how is it like you said those principles
02:10:04 that it’s teaching are not for us
02:10:08 adrian is full of
02:10:12 the book of mormon is for us
02:10:15 no matter what language it is in
02:10:21 also here’s another one for you bree
02:10:23 since you have
02:10:25 awakened to the torah issue and how
02:10:27 important it is
02:10:29 denver snuffer has come out and said
02:10:30 that torah is not for people today
02:10:34 he has said that
02:10:38 wow
02:10:40 in fact he says
02:10:42 he’s trying to restore people something
02:10:44 older than that which is
02:10:46 completely not the case joseph smith
02:10:48 said that
02:10:49 all throughout the scriptures
02:10:52 it’s the same thing being taught
02:10:53 throughout the whole record remember
02:10:56 what we’ve been saying
02:10:59 remember that the spirit has been
02:11:02 leading me
02:11:03 constantly saying i am consistent
02:11:08 i teach the same things yesterday all
02:11:12 people equal
02:11:14 i do not bury
02:11:17 yeah well according to deborah snuffman
02:11:19 that’s huge that is a key
02:11:22 well i’m just telling you what denver
02:11:24 snuffer has said publicly in talks
02:11:31 wow
02:11:33 um
02:11:35 according to every sniffer it’s
02:11:37 different
02:11:39 i don’t believe him he’s a false prophet
02:11:42 but you already know i believe that
02:11:44 because we’ve talked about it before
02:11:46 right
02:11:47 right right so for me when he said that
02:11:50 it was just the confirmation of what i
02:11:51 already believed but anyways
02:11:57 and that group
02:12:00 is pushing it
02:12:01 to get jewish converts into their group
02:12:05 because their group is falling apart and
02:12:07 losing people
02:12:09 what
02:12:10 the snuff rights are getting smaller
02:12:13 are they
02:12:14 yeah
02:12:16 so he’s trying to find another source
02:12:21 that’s sad
02:12:23 anyways
02:12:26 james scott trump
02:12:28 has posted
02:12:30 publicly he wants someone to pay him for
02:12:33 his hebrew version of the book of mormon
02:12:37 he found a buyer
02:12:39 wow
02:12:42 but he may not be
02:12:45 the one the lord intended
02:12:50 so rob k has already done a hebrew
02:12:53 version of the book of mormon before the
02:12:54 snufferites had one
02:12:57 voices of the dust yeah i’ll give you
02:12:58 the link to it
02:13:02 um
02:13:08 so everybody’s like in the snowflake
02:13:10 movie was like oh this is such a great
02:13:12 and wonderful thing yeah
02:13:14 yeah if that’s the case why didn’t you
02:13:17 think that
02:13:18 was the case when rob smith did it
02:13:21 they didn’t i didn’t hear that
02:13:24 because snuffer did it that’s the only
02:13:26 reason they think that
02:13:28 is because snuffer did it
02:13:30 not because it was done well
02:13:33 yeah they have a lot of faith in him
02:13:38 i do see that
02:13:40 it’s all about snuffer
02:13:42 and we’re not to have
02:13:44 faith in a man other than
02:13:47 our savior right so if it was really
02:13:50 good to have a hebrew version of the
02:13:52 book of mormon
02:13:53 why didn’t they accept
02:13:55 rob case
02:13:56 who did it without being right and then
02:13:59 just say hey
02:14:01 and give the credit to where it was done
02:14:03 right and and you know what
02:14:06 rob is not making money off of it
02:14:11 you can get the kindle version for like
02:14:12 one or two dollars if you want which
02:14:14 means nothing’s going to rob
02:14:17 and then the printed edition is so cheap
02:14:19 that it’s probably just primarily paying
02:14:22 for the printing expenses
02:14:24 because the paperback’s 12
02:14:27 that’s primarily paying for the printing
02:14:30 rob’s getting hardly anything from that
02:14:33 and i want one of those
02:14:36 uh there’s three
02:14:37 i can’t i can’t do it right now there’s
02:14:40 three there’s three volumes because of
02:14:42 the
02:14:43 the problems he had with some of the
02:14:44 printing stuff but so i mean to get all
02:14:47 of it you’d have to get 36
02:14:49 dollars oh
02:14:50 but
02:14:52 hardly any of it’s going to rob
02:14:55 it’s going primarily to the printer
02:14:57 because if anything
02:14:58 uh you can go get the kindle for like
02:15:01 let me go look
02:15:02 it’s two dollars
02:15:04 for the kindle
02:15:06 i don’t know right now i dare spend
02:15:09 anything
02:15:11 because i’m counting every penny right
02:15:13 now yeah well
02:15:15 like you
02:15:17 i have it down the road
02:15:19 there
02:15:20 unless you’re really familiar with the
02:15:22 hebrew terms it’ll probably be more
02:15:24 confusing than anything
02:15:26 um
02:15:27 i
02:15:28 yeah
02:15:29 i honestly don’t believe i’ve understood
02:15:33 the concern is not
02:15:35 how you say the concept it’s the concept
02:15:38 and the principles that matter not
02:15:40 what words you use for the concept
02:15:44 like does it matter you say um i always
02:15:47 have a hard time saying the roshua
02:15:54 yeah the rock is it matter if you say
02:15:56 that or holy
02:15:57 or the holy spirit it doesn’t matter
02:15:59 yeah
02:16:00 no it’s the cause it doesn’t
02:16:03 and okay thank you father
02:16:05 so this comes to another thing that alan
02:16:09 and i see i thought this sabbath
02:16:11 we were gonna do on thursday
02:16:14 i woke up and it was the first certain
02:16:17 thing given to me you know to to look up
02:16:22 and so i did and i took it that oh i’m
02:16:25 preparing for the sabbath
02:16:28 and i was so disappointed when i i found
02:16:31 out i had laid everything out and
02:16:35 no audition
02:16:36 okay
02:16:37 no opposition against it
02:16:40 and so it was like this is so cool and
02:16:42 i’m i i
02:16:44 messaged you and said i’m going to be
02:16:46 a few minutes late because
02:16:48 for some reason i always have to run an
02:16:51 errand you know for the family
02:16:54 and i thought well this is all right i
02:16:56 can be a few minutes late i’ll be back
02:16:59 and i get
02:17:01 and you said what are you trying to say
02:17:03 and i go what do you mean not what i’m
02:17:05 trying to say
02:17:08 you had numbers in your message
02:17:15 anyways
02:17:17 probably if i if it was the right day i
02:17:19 would have understood it because of the
02:17:21 context but since it was the wrong day i
02:17:23 probably didn’t get it
02:17:25 i know so out of the blue i’m telling
02:17:27 you i’m going to be a few minutes late
02:17:29 you go okay but why do i need to know
02:17:32 that
02:17:36 so
02:17:37 so anyway alan
02:17:39 he says well okay i’ll i’ll do the
02:17:42 sacrament for you it’s like really oh
02:17:45 that’s wonderful and so i said okay this
02:17:47 is where
02:17:49 i was led in the morning
02:17:52 and so i’m going to share it with you
02:17:54 because you brought this up
02:17:56 oh okay not how you say it right
02:17:59 so i have been trying to figure out do i
02:18:02 use yahuwah do i use yeshua do i use
02:18:06 yahweh i don’t want to offend you i
02:18:09 really want
02:18:10 to call you by your name
02:18:13 well
02:18:14 this is where we were led reading the
02:18:16 introduction of the stick of joseph
02:18:20 okay okay and it was saying that it was
02:18:24 written
02:18:26 to
02:18:27 the laminate
02:18:28 to the jew
02:18:30 to the gentile
02:18:32 and as alan and i were thinking upon
02:18:35 this
02:18:36 it was like
02:18:38 wow
02:18:40 in the book of mormon it’s all through
02:18:42 take on the name of christ
02:18:46 they were children of christ
02:18:49 they were believers in christ
02:18:52 and
02:18:53 he says honey we are gentile
02:18:57 he says for the jews
02:19:00 it is yahuwah it is yahweh it is their
02:19:05 that’s
02:19:07 their language our language
02:19:10 is different
02:19:12 and you came to love him
02:19:15 through
02:19:16 jesus christ he is not offended
02:19:21 by you because he has poured his spirit
02:19:24 out
02:19:24 upon you numerous times you have seen
02:19:27 miracles
02:19:28 you have seen his power you’ve been
02:19:31 delivered from satan numerous times as
02:19:36 he has attacked you because of your
02:19:39 witness
02:19:41 of him moving in your life
02:19:44 and teaching you
02:19:46 [Music]
02:19:47 and so
02:19:49 it was like
02:19:50 really
02:19:51 you’re not offended
02:19:54 and i said because i love i love love
02:19:57 love love the witnesses
02:20:00 i love the principle i love the doctrine
02:20:04 i love the hope
02:20:06 that i have in christ and i willingly
02:20:10 took that name
02:20:12 when i got baptized
02:20:14 even a second time
02:20:17 and a third time
02:20:19 it was the name of christ
02:20:22 and
02:20:22 then
02:20:23 i turned he just he says
02:20:26 boom you know hear the name of christ
02:20:30 hear the name of christ through the
02:20:33 atonement christ the lord through the
02:20:36 name of christ the lord omnipotent i
02:20:39 turn to another place in another place
02:20:41 and he’s and he says could i not
02:20:44 have given joseph smith
02:20:47 the name
02:20:49 of yahuwah yeshua yoheva you know and he
02:20:54 started just boom boom boom asking me
02:20:57 and i said of course because he gave
02:21:00 the hell uh
02:21:02 he gave
02:21:03 mahanrai marie antmer
02:21:08 i couldn’t even say i wasn’t sorry
02:21:16 that name ruining it
02:21:18 and
02:21:19 and he says
02:21:20 you
02:21:22 are going to be known
02:21:24 by christ
02:21:26 because you took that name on
02:21:30 and
02:21:30 it was like
02:21:32 that makes sense to me father
02:21:35 so one thing
02:21:37 to you through that
02:21:42 hopefully this is adding to what he said
02:21:45 um so
02:21:49 i’m no sacred namer so a sacred namer is
02:21:52 someone who thinks you’re only saved if
02:21:54 you say his name
02:21:56 perfectly exactly correct now that’s a
02:21:59 work
02:22:00 right now if that was a requirement how
02:22:03 do dumb people who can’t speak say his
02:22:06 name
02:22:09 it’s not possible for them so are they
02:22:11 not saved
02:22:12 because they’re dumb
02:22:14 meaning can’t speak
02:22:15 no that’s not the case
02:22:17 we’re saved now because do it through
02:22:19 here
02:22:20 the sign
02:22:22 well yeah but i mean does that mean we
02:22:25 should write it because then they’re
02:22:26 writing it not in hebrew they’re writing
02:22:28 it in sign language which even
02:22:31 is not based off of english it’s based
02:22:33 off of french
02:22:37 but anyways
02:22:38 but
02:22:39 also it’s as you said it’s about
02:22:42 becoming like him
02:22:44 and in in hebrew
02:22:46 when you take upon a name that means
02:22:49 you’re becoming like
02:22:51 that
02:22:53 it’s not that necessary you have that
02:22:55 name per se
02:22:57 but in hebrew you gain a name when you
02:22:59 become like that attribute or the thing
02:23:02 or
02:23:03 the thing that you’re naming
02:23:04 and that’s the important thing in fact
02:23:07 the book of mormon and the new testament
02:23:09 teach that we shall see him and
02:23:11 recognize him because we will be
02:23:14 like by him and that’s right
02:23:17 the important thing the gospel is about
02:23:20 becoming
02:23:21 not knowing
02:23:23 right
02:23:24 it goes through applying
02:23:27 and as you apply
02:23:29 you’re changing that natural carnal
02:23:32 sensual
02:23:33 flesh
02:23:35 desire
02:23:36 to
02:23:38 being submissive humble
02:23:40 meek
02:23:41 patient
02:23:44 loving right
02:23:46 here’s another
02:23:48 another hebrew idiom for you
02:23:50 name also means authority
02:23:52 we’re saved by
02:23:53 his name
02:23:55 we’re saved by his authority he has
02:23:59 more power than all of our adversaries
02:24:02 and that’s why we can have faith unto
02:24:04 him
02:24:05 for salvation is because he has more
02:24:07 power more authority than anybody and
02:24:10 everybody else
02:24:12 that’s what saves us it’s not just
02:24:14 saying his name in fact also the jst
02:24:18 states that we have to say it
02:24:20 um with the power of the holy ghost just
02:24:23 saying his name doesn’t mean we’re saved
02:24:25 saying it with the power of the holy
02:24:28 ghost
02:24:30 is being saved and that means
02:24:32 as we’ve talked about before
02:24:35 that when we act like the gospel we have
02:24:39 power there is power in the word there’s
02:24:41 power in the way and we get that power
02:24:44 when we live
02:24:46 the way
02:24:47 the word
02:24:49 we we gain that power when we’re like
02:24:51 that
02:24:53 yes
02:24:53 that’s when you see the signs and and
02:24:56 the wonders and the miracles
02:24:59 it just just like in the power and
02:25:01 bringing other people unto salvation is
02:25:03 because you preach it
02:25:05 and you live it like in um lectures on
02:25:08 faith one no chapter or section
02:25:13 lecture two verse 56 talks about and
02:25:16 people started believing because of how
02:25:19 they the people were it’s not just not
02:25:22 only because of the words but because
02:25:23 they lived it also
02:25:26 and that’s where the power comes into
02:25:28 play is when we live it
02:25:30 not only see it
02:25:32 and that’s what it shows
02:25:35 where is it
02:25:36 um
02:25:42 they were true believers okay it’s not
02:25:44 when he takes on the liberty
02:25:46 um
02:25:49 oh
02:25:53 it’s where they imparted their substance
02:25:57 they
02:25:58 um
02:26:00 the church
02:26:02 you know
02:26:02 maybe emma won there’s no inequality
02:26:07 um
02:26:08 they share what they have
02:26:11 um
02:26:12 well mazaya four talks about that alma
02:26:15 one talks about that yeah i think but
02:26:17 alma
02:26:19 it was when alma goes out and preaches
02:26:23 and
02:26:25 um there’s a change
02:26:28 okay
02:26:29 to take on
02:26:31 uh so there’s some of that in amma 34
02:26:34 because i’m a 34 i like a lot um yeah
02:26:38 i’m looking for a particular one that
02:26:42 um
02:26:43 take care of the poor okay that’s one of
02:26:46 them so the one that i like that along
02:26:48 this line a summary is if you do not
02:26:50 take care of the poor we are like
02:26:52 hypocrites who deny the faith and that’s
02:26:54 alma 3428
02:26:57 i don’t know if that’s the one you’re
02:26:58 looking for or a different one no
02:27:02 let’s see
02:27:06 after you’ve done all these things yeah
02:27:09 that’s a good one okay but
02:27:12 it’s continual
02:27:15 the consistency in applying the gospel
02:27:19 what does it look like the very things
02:27:21 that it says you don’t turn away the
02:27:24 needy the naked the sick be afflicted
02:27:27 you impart of your substance if you have
02:27:32 to those stand and need us that
02:27:35 is becoming like christ
02:27:37 that’s what he does
02:27:40 and that’s tithing
02:27:42 is to give of your surplus
02:27:45 yes and surplus have the surplus
02:27:48 see we don’t have a surplus in our life
02:27:53 well then that we give it
02:27:55 not giving um but see we have and i’m
02:27:59 not tooting my own or anything but we
02:28:02 have always
02:28:03 had people cross our path
02:28:06 that have had even less than we have
02:28:10 sure yeah i i i’ll tell you i don’t have
02:28:14 much right now and i still
02:28:17 yes you imparted to
02:28:19 to me in my hour well you don’t need to
02:28:22 bring that up but okay
02:28:24 but no but i’m i’m saying that even
02:28:28 though
02:28:29 you
02:28:31 are
02:28:32 you know not having as much
02:28:34 you are doing the same and i keep on
02:28:38 seeing
02:28:39 that the lord doesn’t want us
02:28:42 to give something we really don’t have
02:28:45 and that we’re needing like i you know i
02:28:47 see something and i go okay
02:28:49 you want me to come out of babylon but
02:28:52 wait a minute i just heard that they
02:28:54 have this book
02:28:56 you know in hebrew
02:28:58 um rob k has done this
02:29:00 okay
02:29:01 well if it’ll help me better understand
02:29:04 what you were teaching i want it you
02:29:08 know
02:29:09 but i have to pull back and say
02:29:13 maybe it’s not for me
02:29:16 if you
02:29:17 like really like the hebrew roots
02:29:19 movement and you really want to use the
02:29:22 hebrew words it might have some benefit
02:29:25 but
02:29:26 and that’s
02:29:28 why
02:29:29 um i think this nephrite movement is
02:29:32 doing it is to
02:29:34 get
02:29:35 the jewish
02:29:36 people into their
02:29:38 movement because they’re trying to use
02:29:39 more the jewish words but
02:29:42 they don’t believe it because adrian
02:29:44 larson
02:29:45 in a public video for everybody to see
02:29:48 has said it’s not for me
02:29:51 but it’s the same
02:29:53 principles
02:29:54 it’s the same doctrine
02:29:57 just
02:29:58 different words that are more familiar
02:30:01 to a different group of people how is it
02:30:03 not for him
02:30:05 it’s the same word how are they going to
02:30:07 recognize that
02:30:09 if
02:30:10 if they are saying
02:30:13 i don’t have to live it that that’s
02:30:15 pretty much what they’re saying is yeah
02:30:17 you’re going to go have to ask me maybe
02:30:19 about that
02:30:20 but he says this
02:30:23 is not for him
02:30:25 and i might say would you like to
02:30:26 clarify
02:30:28 what
02:30:29 you are saying through those words
02:30:31 because when i heard it
02:30:34 i am taking that you don’t have to live
02:30:38 what is found
02:30:40 within that book
02:30:42 and that disturbs me knowing your family
02:30:46 knowing
02:30:47 that
02:30:48 i have had fellowship with you
02:30:52 uh well i never fellowshipped with
02:30:54 adrian i’ve never i’ve read his
02:30:56 he has a few blogs i like but most of
02:30:58 the time i disagree with them on many
02:31:00 things but there’s a few that i like
02:31:02 um but
02:31:04 my thing is when i was in idaho
02:31:06 i had that opportunity
02:31:08 we were a part of this same fellowship
02:31:11 they came to the house
02:31:15 and that’s why i’m saying i’m giving the
02:31:17 benefit of doubt
02:31:19 well maybe ask him
02:31:21 you know
02:31:23 you could ask him um because i guess i
02:31:25 know why he said it
02:31:27 i know he loves the book of mormon
02:31:30 and i know
02:31:31 how he is as a father
02:31:34 and as a husband
02:31:37 he is so attentive
02:31:39 he is so supportive
02:31:41 and he is constantly
02:31:44 listening to little children and then
02:31:47 building upon what that little child
02:31:50 said in the in the sacrament meeting
02:31:53 and he would say
02:31:54 exactly and this
02:31:57 is awesome
02:31:59 you know
02:32:00 he is
02:32:02 he’s a wonderful teacher
02:32:05 that’s cool i didn’t know that about him
02:32:07 yeah because i don’t i love his heart
02:32:10 i love his heart i love his wife
02:32:14 they’re they’re so willing to impart
02:32:17 what they have
02:32:19 not only their time
02:32:21 not only what friendship they have
02:32:25 their resources
02:32:28 you know
02:32:29 they’re a very giving
02:32:32 loving
02:32:34 family the whole family even his mom
02:32:37 befriended me back
02:32:40 right then and there
02:32:41 that’s cool
02:32:42 you know and so i’m like what
02:32:46 i’m having a hard time understanding
02:32:49 how he could say that
02:32:51 i agree with you because what joseph
02:32:53 smith
02:32:54 said statement it’s the principles and
02:32:56 teachings and doctrines that matter
02:32:58 because
02:33:00 mormons the key
02:33:01 and those who
02:33:03 keep
02:33:05 the principles found therein will get
02:33:07 closer to god and it it doesn’t matter
02:33:09 what word you use for the principle
02:33:12 right
02:33:13 well
02:33:14 i am wondering and and this is where i
02:33:17 give people a benefit of doubt until
02:33:21 they tell me
02:33:22 personally what they meant by it
02:33:25 and then i would say well how could you
02:33:29 how could you
02:33:31 look at that way
02:33:33 when
02:33:34 you know and then i’ll give like
02:33:38 what we’re taught
02:33:40 so
02:33:41 here’s how i took it whether if this is
02:33:44 what he meant or not you’ll have to ask
02:33:45 him but i think
02:33:47 i think this is how he meant it
02:33:50 the stick of joseph leads the hebrew
02:33:51 roots and the hebrew ideas
02:33:55 which leads to torah
02:33:57 okay
02:33:58 and christians deny torah
02:34:01 and he’s a christian
02:34:05 i see what you’re saying
02:34:09 where that’s why i’ve been said for a
02:34:11 long time i’m a nazarene
02:34:16 i don’t i mean i’m okay with the title
02:34:18 christian i’ll
02:34:19 take it if someone gives it to me but i
02:34:21 prefer nazarene
02:34:23 not christian
02:34:26 and
02:34:29 okay you know how i struggled when i
02:34:31 heard the word torah sir no you’re
02:34:33 struggling with nazareth oh and familiar
02:34:36 with me so nazarene
02:34:40 i have
02:34:42 a different
02:34:44 so there’s the nazarene vowel and that’s
02:34:46 not what i’m talking about there’s the
02:34:48 nazarenes yeah i have a history with
02:34:50 that word
02:34:51 that may not be what you’re
02:34:53 yeah
02:34:55 all most people don’t know the nazarene
02:34:58 sect people
02:35:01 i i’ve had people come to me when i say
02:35:03 i’m a nazarene think oh so you don’t
02:35:05 drink alcohol no i drink it
02:35:07 i know you do
02:35:10 and you’ve been encouraged me it’s like
02:35:12 you’re stressed full of wine yeah well
02:35:15 joseph smith did it um
02:35:17 and the scripture says it’s the glide in
02:35:19 the heart
02:35:21 it it’s the next glad in me
02:35:24 it puts me to rest
02:35:26 well maybe that’s what you need um but
02:35:28 yes it’s a natural antidepressant
02:35:32 anyways
02:35:33 um
02:35:34 but
02:35:35 so there’s two
02:35:37 nazarenes the most common one is the
02:35:39 nazarene oath and that’s not drinking
02:35:42 alcohol for a temporary period of time
02:35:45 and allowing your hair to grow and not
02:35:47 cutting it
02:35:48 um
02:35:50 i’m only familiar in the scriptures of
02:35:52 men taking that oath but and there’s
02:35:55 probably women too i don’t know
02:35:58 um but the nazarene sect is what i refer
02:36:02 to and the nazarene sect just like the
02:36:04 sadducees and pharisees were two
02:36:06 different sects they had some although
02:36:09 they both believed in torah they had
02:36:11 different interpretations
02:36:13 of torah and they had both of those two
02:36:15 had their own oral laws that they went
02:36:18 by
02:36:19 because one believed in the resurrection
02:36:20 and one did not believe in the
02:36:22 resurrection so they had some
02:36:23 differences
02:36:24 and there were tons of sex
02:36:27 a sect
02:36:28 a jewish sect is like a christian
02:36:30 denomination like a baptist versus the
02:36:33 methodist
02:36:35 it’s a denomination
02:36:37 it’s just
02:36:38 in the jewish
02:36:39 world you call it a sect
02:36:42 and the nazarene sect
02:36:44 they
02:36:46 were around the time of jesus’s
02:36:48 mortal ministry
02:36:50 they believed that yeshua jesus was
02:36:54 the promised messiah
02:36:56 they believed in the law and kept the
02:36:58 law
02:36:59 even after his
02:37:01 resurrection
02:37:02 but they also denied the oral law aka
02:37:06 the false traditions of men
02:37:09 which is what i seek to do and i think
02:37:11 you’re seeking to do also now since
02:37:13 we’ve
02:37:14 talked about this subject
02:37:18 you’re breaking up oh lovely internet
02:37:23 um
02:37:24 so
02:37:25 a nazarene
02:37:26 is a sect of jews who go by the
02:37:29 scriptures okay you said i think
02:37:34 oh i think that’s what you’re seeking to
02:37:36 do
02:37:37 much so more now to follow the
02:37:39 scriptures
02:37:41 the torah trying to understand the law
02:37:43 and keep it
02:37:44 and not keep the oral law or false
02:37:46 traditions of men
02:37:50 well you’re looking confused again um
02:37:54 so i’m thinking internet’s having a
02:37:56 problem can you hear me bree
02:38:00 [Music]
02:38:02 you said i think that’s what you’re
02:38:04 trying to do
02:38:06 you’re you’re trying to figure out the
02:38:07 law and keep it now yeah
02:38:09 because
02:38:10 you
02:38:12 believe that it hasn’t been done away
02:38:14 with
02:38:16 right anymore like jesus said in the
02:38:18 sermon on the mount i didn’t come to
02:38:19 destroy
02:38:21 right i came to teach
02:38:24 and you see that now and so you’re right
02:38:26 striving to keep the law like
02:38:31 and that’s a nazarene
02:38:32 someone who strives to keep
02:38:35 the law the written law the torah
02:38:38 and not the false traditions that we
02:38:40 grew up in
02:38:43 and it means more to me that it’s the
02:38:45 lord’s teaching
02:38:48 than
02:38:49 man’s teaching
02:38:51 yes um
02:38:52 because we’re supposed to live by
02:38:53 everyone i’ll give you an example
02:38:57 uh
02:38:58 of what a false
02:38:59 tradition
02:39:02 you can talk about why well i’ll tell
02:39:04 you okay because of
02:39:08 no because of
02:39:11 the
02:39:13 um the abuse issues okay and my trust
02:39:17 issues
02:39:18 all right
02:39:20 um
02:39:21 the there was a law set by man
02:39:25 okay
02:39:26 i couldn’t be in a car
02:39:29 with another brother
02:39:31 oh yeah i love
02:39:33 false tradition
02:39:35 the jews also the orthodox jews some
02:39:38 keep some don’t the ultra orthodox keep
02:39:41 that
02:39:42 um
02:39:43 as far as i know that’s not in torah but
02:39:45 that’s not one i’m worried about
02:39:47 um well this is what confused me okay
02:39:51 when i was going through the process of
02:39:54 repenting and changing
02:39:57 you know to the lord’s ways
02:40:00 at the same time i had men
02:40:03 that were trying to put their thumb
02:40:05 over me
02:40:07 and i was watching
02:40:11 i’m trying to hold you down with their
02:40:12 so-called authority is that what you
02:40:14 mean by the thumb
02:40:16 yes yes you have to do it because they
02:40:18 said it which i was rebelling
02:40:23 because they were a man
02:40:26 okay
02:40:28 so
02:40:30 your favorite verse
02:40:31 i can remember now dnc 121
02:40:34 right
02:40:35 37.
02:40:37 said something about that
02:40:40 and so he was teaching me and
02:40:42 this is where it says you know
02:40:45 you sin and then you can know the mercy
02:40:49 well
02:40:51 i did sin
02:40:53 on purpose
02:40:56 but
02:40:58 dying
02:41:00 to understand
02:41:03 where is my liberty as a woman
02:41:07 where’s my rights
02:41:09 as a woman
02:41:12 and
02:41:13 i had men in a party
02:41:17 that were saying i did hear lord
02:41:21 he wouldn’t direct me to do this or that
02:41:25 that’s
02:41:26 a lie okay
02:41:27 and they were going like this and it was
02:41:30 like but
02:41:31 this same voice that i’ve been listening
02:41:33 to
02:41:35 has led me here and hear and hear
02:41:39 and it’s provided a home
02:41:42 and has led me to you know my husband
02:41:45 and warned me about having children
02:41:47 ahead of time told me the name you know
02:41:50 i i could go
02:41:51 point blank
02:41:53 when my prayers were answered how my
02:41:55 prayers were answered and they were
02:41:57 going no
02:41:58 the lord doesn’t work that way yeah
02:42:00 that’s
02:42:01 so sermon on the mail you may remember
02:42:04 this from the bishops article i did but
02:42:06 sermon on the mount teaches that people
02:42:09 should not
02:42:10 say you have a bad relationship with god
02:42:14 it’s a hebrew idiom
02:42:16 and
02:42:17 cain
02:42:18 after he murdered which is
02:42:21 the worst sin to murder innocence still
02:42:24 had a relationship he still was able to
02:42:27 talk to god
02:42:29 right bishop to claim that you cannot
02:42:31 talk to god because of some sin less
02:42:35 than
02:42:36 killing innocent blood
02:42:39 is wrong
02:42:40 and they’re denying their scriptures
02:42:44 well i didn’t know that okay i didn’t
02:42:46 growing up
02:42:47 oh okay i gotta get back in line sure
02:42:50 sir well i didn’t know that growing up
02:42:52 in the eldest church either because they
02:42:53 don’t teach that
02:42:54 that’s something that god gave me no
02:42:56 after i left
02:42:58 but it’s so plainly in the scriptures
02:43:00 now but i didn’t see it i see it so
02:43:02 plainly in the scriptures now but i
02:43:04 didn’t then
02:43:07 right and
02:43:08 when we are obedient unto men
02:43:13 we are not putting our trust
02:43:16 in him because
02:43:19 it makes you go like this eventually
02:43:23 you have to make a decision
02:43:26 and what they confused me
02:43:29 was
02:43:30 it was bad to be in the car
02:43:33 with a brother
02:43:35 that a brother was willing
02:43:37 to come and pick me up
02:43:40 so i could go to church so i could
02:43:43 fulfill my callings
02:43:46 okay
02:43:47 but i was sinning because i did that
02:43:51 and so
02:43:53 because
02:43:55 it was man’s law i rebelled
02:44:00 and then i discovered you rebelled
02:44:02 against men not god though because
02:44:05 yes
02:44:06 but
02:44:07 then i fell
02:44:08 okay
02:44:10 i was in a situation that i couldn’t get
02:44:13 out of
02:44:14 and when i had to go and confess and
02:44:17 tell you know what happened
02:44:19 to
02:44:20 this situation
02:44:22 they said it was because
02:44:25 i broke the commandment
02:44:28 of not
02:44:29 being
02:44:30 a being in a car
02:44:33 with
02:44:35 a man without my husband without a child
02:44:38 without another death that confused me
02:44:42 oh i can understand that
02:44:44 because there were so many times
02:44:46 i was in a car
02:44:49 with my girlfriend’s husband
02:44:51 and and we were dropping her off
02:44:54 somewhere we were dropping the kids off
02:44:55 and then he was dropping me off
02:44:57 somewhere you know because we would
02:44:59 carpool and it was like
02:45:02 so confusing to my brain
02:45:07 that
02:45:08 how did i sin
02:45:10 because
02:45:12 nothing happened to me when i’m with
02:45:14 this person or this person
02:45:16 but something happened
02:45:19 because of this person and their heart
02:45:21 and their mind
02:45:24 was
02:45:26 wicked and to determine
02:45:29 to do evil
02:45:32 okay
02:45:34 so
02:45:35 i had to be taught
02:45:38 i had to be hot
02:45:41 what is
02:45:43 law
02:45:44 and you started saying the torah
02:45:47 it was like
02:45:50 okay
02:45:51 i was okay
02:45:53 when i was applying
02:45:55 your law lord i got confused
02:45:59 when man was saying i had obedient to
02:46:02 him
02:46:04 you know and so it is cemented
02:46:09 going through my past
02:46:11 it was like if i had just continued
02:46:16 where you were leading me where you were
02:46:18 directing me father
02:46:20 i would have been fine
02:46:23 man caused me
02:46:26 to second guess
02:46:29 and say i wasn’t hearing you
02:46:33 no
02:46:33 and i wasn’t obeying you i wasn’t
02:46:36 following you because
02:46:39 i was going against
02:46:41 what they
02:46:44 were telling me
02:46:47 i think
02:46:48 most bishops probably mean well but
02:46:50 they’re so tall that they have this gift
02:46:54 of discernment once they have the
02:46:56 calling
02:46:57 that anything and everything that they
02:46:59 think is from god that’s false i mean i
02:47:02 have my own stories of how bishops were
02:47:06 wrong and then they later admitted to me
02:47:08 that they were wrong for probably my
02:47:11 biggest example
02:47:13 of my first divorce
02:47:15 i prayed to god to know if i should stay
02:47:18 with her or leave because i stayed with
02:47:20 her longer than
02:47:22 i probably should have because we’re
02:47:24 married in the temple right you should
02:47:26 try to make it work
02:47:28 um and so i did
02:47:30 but
02:47:32 she did something really
02:47:35 she lied to the cops about me
02:47:37 and i i i just i didn’t know what to do
02:47:40 and she lied to the cops about me
02:47:43 because of her
02:47:45 family history she was taking out broke
02:47:47 up
02:47:49 she lied
02:47:50 she lied about me to the police
02:47:54 uh she said i did something that i
02:47:56 didn’t um and she was taking out her
02:48:00 anger of her family growing up onto me
02:48:05 and
02:48:07 i didn’t know what to do and so i prayed
02:48:08 to god and i heard a voice
02:48:12 this is
02:48:13 i heard a literal voice tell me
02:48:17 leave
02:48:18 her
02:48:20 now when i told my bishop that
02:48:24 um
02:48:25 he’s like no
02:48:27 you’re crazy you don’t know what you’re
02:48:28 talking about god wouldn’t have you
02:48:30 leave her i’m like no i know i heard a
02:48:32 voice
02:48:34 outside of me
02:48:35 tell me leave her yeah and then later
02:48:38 when he found out more details about
02:48:40 what was really going on he actually
02:48:43 apologized to me and said stephen you
02:48:46 were right i was wrong you got to give
02:48:48 him credit that he apologized
02:48:50 and
02:48:51 admitted that he was wrong right but
02:48:53 initially he was like
02:48:55 you’re wrong
02:48:56 god would never say that
02:48:58 i’m like uh you you just don’t know
02:49:01 what’s going on you’re and so and
02:49:03 there’s other cases with bishops i think
02:49:07 a lot i think try
02:49:09 to do what they think is right but with
02:49:12 the culture that they’re in and the
02:49:13 things that they’re told about their
02:49:15 calling and whatnot i think
02:49:19 they to some degree buy into
02:49:22 the high status that they’re given
02:49:25 but as i bring up my bishops post
02:49:28 they’re not supposed to do judgments on
02:49:30 the whim of their
02:49:33 thoughts they’re supposed to be by the
02:49:34 law
02:49:36 yes
02:49:37 are judges and judges go by the law
02:49:41 and
02:49:42 going by the law is not some whim and i
02:49:45 mean we’ve been talking about the law
02:49:47 has punishments when there’s something
02:49:49 done
02:49:50 the punishment has already been
02:49:52 prescribed in the law it’s not something
02:49:54 you just make up and then on top of that
02:49:57 judges are not allowed
02:50:00 to have a witness condemn themselves and
02:50:03 that’s what bishops primarily do
02:50:06 they have the witnesses
02:50:08 or
02:50:09 the the accused is the better word for
02:50:11 it they have the accused condemned
02:50:13 themselves
02:50:14 by their own witness
02:50:15 and that’s not legal
02:50:17 in god’s court
02:50:19 and joseph smith said the same thing and
02:50:21 i give you that question
02:50:24 bishops
02:50:25 are contradicting torah and things that
02:50:28 joseph smith taught what the book of
02:50:29 mormon taught and the doctrine and
02:50:31 covenants taught
02:50:35 and even lds history
02:50:37 shows this but anyways
02:50:41 oh i’ve got company
02:50:44 you want me pause for a minute
02:50:48 yeah i got a cutie all right uh i’ll
02:50:51 pause for all right so
02:50:53 bishop and
02:50:56 yeah
02:50:57 i think most bishops mean well
02:50:59 but i think the culture that they’re in
02:51:02 give them a false sense of security
02:51:04 okay so
02:51:06 we agreed that yes the bishop
02:51:09 does try
02:51:17 okay you want mood
02:51:25 it’s just i think you were saying the
02:51:27 the main point i think was the false
02:51:28 tradition how you couldn’t be in the car
02:51:30 with another man right
02:51:34 right and it confused me
02:51:36 how that was a sin
02:51:39 did he show you where in the scriptures
02:51:41 it says it’s a sin
02:51:44 no no you couldn’t
02:51:48 i mean did you ask
02:51:50 you might not have anyway then but
02:51:53 i
02:51:53 i
02:51:54 nowadays when people say something
02:51:56 that’s in them like can you i didn’t
02:51:57 know
02:51:58 to ask that way because we were believed
02:52:02 we were taught
02:52:03 to believe
02:52:05 that the prophet
02:52:08 you know could give the commandments
02:52:11 okay because
02:52:12 word
02:52:15 where did the prophet at that time say
02:52:17 it’s a sin
02:52:21 i mean i mean it’s easy to say that but
02:52:24 even if and if i still believe the
02:52:26 obvious way right which i don’t
02:52:30 where did the prophet say that
02:52:33 quote prophet well it was in the youth
02:52:36 panel
02:52:37 pamphlet well but where did he
02:52:40 officially teach it because in the youth
02:52:42 pamphlet
02:52:44 that comes from other people they’re not
02:52:46 just quotes from him
02:52:49 i didn’t know that see
02:52:50 okay
02:52:51 i i knew that even yeah
02:52:54 because well
02:52:59 but not everything
02:53:04 you you got 35 26 long before i got
02:53:07 first nephi 13.
02:53:09 [Laughter]
02:53:11 you know
02:53:12 there’s still restoration coming so
02:53:16 anyways yeah
02:53:18 uh
02:53:19 it depends on the subject right
02:53:22 yes
02:53:23 yes um and
02:53:25 what
02:53:27 what comes
02:53:29 into a person’s life
02:53:32 you know what shows up
02:53:35 to where they can turn
02:53:38 they can turn to the answers
02:53:41 sure
02:53:42 yeah um because even though okay so my
02:53:46 striving
02:53:47 everywhere
02:53:48 even my striving to
02:53:50 follow torah i don’t know at all and
02:53:53 i’ve had people i have someone knocking
02:53:54 on the door okay sorry no that’s fine
02:53:57 let me pause
02:53:58 okay okay
02:54:00 all right
02:54:01 so
02:54:03 i actually forget what we were talking
02:54:05 about before you had to take your little
02:54:07 break
02:54:08 um we were talking about men’s law first
02:54:12 men’s law versus god’s law yeah yeah
02:54:15 traditions
02:54:18 and how a bishop told you it was a sin
02:54:20 but he
02:54:22 couldn’t
02:54:23 well i guess you never asked but there’s
02:54:25 no verse in scripture that says you
02:54:27 can’t be in a car alone
02:54:29 with another man
02:54:31 alone
02:54:32 i i know not now i i know the eldest
02:54:35 church has that tradition and so do
02:54:38 orthodox jews
02:54:40 but i i don’t know a scripture
02:54:42 i mean i could be wrong
02:54:43 but
02:54:44 today when someone tells me i’m sinning
02:54:47 i’m like okay what scripture and what
02:54:49 law am i bringing
02:54:51 okay hold on i need a break now one
02:54:53 second okay
02:54:56 okay i’m back
02:54:59 okay and i’m recording so
02:55:02 false traditions oh i was saying
02:55:04 today i
02:55:06 i know i don’t know everything but when
02:55:08 someone tells me i’m doing something
02:55:09 wrong
02:55:10 or that they think i’m doing something
02:55:11 wrong i’m like okay show me in the
02:55:13 scriptures
02:55:15 most of the time people can’t
02:55:17 occasionally i have learned a few things
02:55:20 because a few
02:55:22 have shown me
02:55:23 uh and so i i look at the scriptures i
02:55:26 think about it i
02:55:28 ponder it and then and most of the time
02:55:32 at least some of the time that when
02:55:33 people pointed out that i actually do
02:55:36 agree with them and so i’ve tried and
02:55:38 worked to change my behavior
02:55:40 but it wasn’t just because someone said
02:55:42 you’re wrong and don’t give evidence for
02:55:44 it and you just you just know that
02:55:48 it’s because they could point to it and
02:55:50 show me and teach me
02:55:55 but right
02:55:57 well that’s what i’ve learned
02:56:00 is
02:56:02 you know find it in the scriptures that
02:56:05 is what i’m bound
02:56:07 to live
02:56:08 yeah in fact
02:56:10 what it makes it simple
02:56:13 it makes it more simple oh yeah and it
02:56:16 makes it more believable you know after
02:56:18 letting go of the false traditions the
02:56:20 scriptures made so much more sense and i
02:56:23 believe them so much more
02:56:26 it
02:56:27 i can’t tell you it just
02:56:30 it all fits together
02:56:32 now but anyways so dnc
02:56:35 4259
02:56:38 thou shalt take the things which thou
02:56:40 hast received so revelations from god
02:56:43 which
02:56:44 have been given unto thee in my
02:56:47 scriptures for law
02:56:50 to be
02:56:51 my law to govern my church
02:56:58 it’s not tradition
02:57:01 4259
02:57:06 ah yeah
02:57:09 uh i think that’s personally i think
02:57:11 that’s a real good one
02:57:16 we’re supposed to be governed by god’s
02:57:19 scriptures
02:57:21 not the whims
02:57:23 of someone in leadership because that’s
02:57:26 just how they think it should be it
02:57:28 should be found in the scriptures yeah
02:57:30 and the judges
02:57:32 in the ancient day they knew the law
02:57:35 and that’s why they became judges
02:57:38 it’s not because they were just liked
02:57:40 but the people knew that they knew the
02:57:42 law
02:57:44 and and because they knew the law they
02:57:46 could be judges because that’s what
02:57:48 judges are supposed to do
02:57:50 is go according to the law right
02:57:54 that makes sense
02:57:59 i think she ran off with my
02:58:02 um nope
02:58:05 okay
02:58:06 i got my highlighter oh okay
02:58:13 all right so
02:58:16 um
02:58:20 we
02:58:21 detoured
02:58:24 a lot when we were talking about
02:58:28 god’s law
02:58:30 versus
02:58:32 mans
02:58:34 and how important it is
02:58:37 to be taught
02:58:40 that law did we finish
02:58:43 with alma 42
02:58:46 uh i i don’t think we finished the whole
02:58:48 chapter but i think we finished the part
02:58:50 you wanted to read
02:58:53 um
02:58:55 right it was just talking about how law
02:59:00 and punishment is eternal and how god
02:59:03 himself
02:59:07 you know
02:59:09 keeps that law
02:59:13 and that repentance is given
02:59:18 it’s granted it’s provided and
02:59:22 mercy
02:59:24 is for those that repent
02:59:30 okay
02:59:31 that pretty much
02:59:33 mercy is not an excuse to sin
02:59:36 mercy
02:59:37 is those who have
02:59:40 or are striving to change their ways to
02:59:43 be in alignment with
02:59:45 with gods
02:59:46 that’s what mercy is for
02:59:48 right
02:59:51 um okay
02:59:52 so
02:59:53 then let’s go to
02:59:57 mosiah 29
02:59:59 uh could we
03:00:01 sure we can i mean like there was just
03:00:03 the two verses that we already looked at
03:00:06 we were talking
03:00:07 about
03:00:11 oh is that where you wanted to go well
03:00:13 we could look at all of it but um i was
03:00:16 just before we started recording talking
03:00:18 about how mosiah 29
03:00:22 is a good example of how a government
03:00:24 should be
03:00:25 ran but
03:00:26 it’s not what’s happening
03:00:28 um
03:00:28 [Music]
03:00:30 because
03:00:31 in here it’s the
03:00:33 people who vote on the laws
03:00:35 that they are to do and not the
03:00:38 politicians who vote on the laws or the
03:00:41 leaders or the judges vote on the laws
03:00:43 it’s the
03:00:44 voice of the people not the voice of the
03:00:46 representatives
03:00:48 or
03:00:50 quote representatives because i i don’t
03:00:51 think
03:00:52 the politicians in the united states
03:00:54 represent the people to be honest but
03:00:57 and
03:00:58 in this chapter it also brings out how
03:01:00 it is the few
03:01:02 who want wickedness
03:01:04 and who’s there’s few
03:01:06 in the government
03:01:08 compared to the people in general
03:01:11 and it’s even today yeah it’s those few
03:01:15 who want the the wicked ways and and
03:01:18 they make
03:01:20 they make laws behind our back all the
03:01:22 time
03:01:23 all the time
03:01:25 yeah in fact brie regarding the mark of
03:01:28 the beast
03:01:29 you know
03:01:30 that there’s laws
03:01:32 in most places in the world right now
03:01:35 it’s
03:01:36 that you have to worship god on sunday
03:01:40 they’re just not enforcing it
03:01:44 yes already in the books and that’s the
03:01:46 mark of the beast
03:01:49 sunday is not the sabbath
03:01:52 well most time it’s not like we’ve
03:01:54 talked about before sometimes it is
03:01:56 right because of the difference between
03:01:58 the goring and the lunar sub lunar
03:02:01 solar calendar thus lunar sabbath but
03:02:05 most of the time it’s not
03:02:08 [Music]
03:02:10 but that’s what they do with laws they
03:02:12 put them into place
03:02:14 then they let them sit quietly and then
03:02:16 they start enforcing them so it’s been
03:02:17 on the books forever
03:02:20 yeah
03:02:21 they’re hiding what they’re doing from
03:02:23 the people
03:02:25 they’re not representing us
03:02:27 no they’re not now they’re not
03:02:31 but
03:02:31 a lot of people
03:02:33 care more about man’s laws than god’s
03:02:35 law and they say oh it’s it’s the law we
03:02:37 have to follow it
03:02:39 right
03:02:40 i mean that’s partly how hitler got away
03:02:42 with everything because it was
03:02:44 the law
03:02:49 not to mention
03:02:50 there was a saying on the hitlers that
03:02:52 they did it for the safety of the people
03:02:54 that’s what they’re saying right now
03:02:56 all these
03:02:57 made up things they’re not forced people
03:03:00 to do it’s for your safety
03:03:03 that’s what hitler said and then once
03:03:04 you do
03:03:06 once they do that they just take more
03:03:08 and more of your freedom away sure and
03:03:10 once when people start doing it then
03:03:12 they make it law because no one’s going
03:03:14 to fight against it it’s already been
03:03:16 that way so now we’ll just make it right
03:03:19 they just slowly and surely slip things
03:03:22 in
03:03:23 oh i’ve watched how
03:03:27 puppet-like
03:03:28 is the only word that i can see
03:03:32 is
03:03:34 they
03:03:36 are
03:03:37 looking at us when we go to the store
03:03:41 or we go
03:03:43 oh i’ve heard out to the park or
03:03:45 whatever
03:03:46 and
03:03:47 they’ve got masks on their little babies
03:03:50 and children which they are breathing in
03:03:52 the carbon dioxide
03:03:54 okay
03:03:55 but they look at us as ah you’re so
03:03:59 terrible
03:04:00 you don’t have
03:04:02 your mask on
03:04:04 you know
03:04:05 and i am thinking
03:04:07 do you not
03:04:09 realize
03:04:11 that you were just giving up you’re
03:04:13 right you’re just a sheep
03:04:16 you know just
03:04:17 okay
03:04:18 okay
03:04:20 i’ll let go of that one too
03:04:23 and i’ll just lay down and you want to
03:04:24 shoo me
03:04:26 it’s okay and then when it’s time for me
03:04:28 to be led to the slaughter
03:04:31 i’ll just happily go
03:04:34 and
03:04:35 and i’m like you
03:04:38 you haven’t and i believe
03:04:41 you’re
03:04:43 you see
03:04:46 wrong
03:04:47 well
03:04:48 so i’ve even said this to doctors and
03:04:50 they don’t know how to reply about who
03:04:52 think you should be wearing masks one
03:04:54 the carbon and oxide right that’s not
03:04:56 healthy to breathe but also right the
03:04:59 masks that they’re having people wear
03:05:01 don’t filter out viruses
03:05:05 virus is smaller so did you see
03:05:07 [Music]
03:05:10 did you see who’s making
03:05:12 the mask uh yeah it’s so dirty
03:05:16 that is so disheartening to know that
03:05:20 our sick people in the hospitals
03:05:22 and the nurses
03:05:25 are putting that mass
03:05:28 on
03:05:30 that is made
03:05:31 from
03:05:33 just slave labor
03:05:35 and out of the poorest
03:05:38 condition
03:05:41 ah
03:05:42 it
03:05:44 well it’s not about health free but i
03:05:46 think we both agree on that right oh
03:05:48 it’s about control
03:05:49 [Music]
03:05:50 and troll
03:05:52 they’re seeing who’s willing to submit
03:05:55 um and i’ve
03:05:57 i’ve i haven’t seen it because i’m not
03:05:58 in the states but i’ve heard there
03:06:00 people at walmart are just counting
03:06:03 who’s
03:06:04 wearing masks and who’s not so they can
03:06:06 get an idea turn them in yeah
03:06:09 well yeah i know about turning them in
03:06:11 but this just taking stats and seeing
03:06:12 what’s going on but i have seen
03:06:15 post it’s a trial
03:06:17 it’s a trial to see who will oppose them
03:06:20 well they’re trying to see if they at
03:06:21 least have
03:06:22 enough that they can get away with
03:06:24 making it a law before making
03:06:26 [Music]
03:06:27 taking surveys
03:06:29 like
03:06:30 like the lds church does and like the
03:06:32 evil people and alma 34 did
03:06:36 they took surveys to know what they
03:06:37 could get away with
03:06:39 and that’s what the government is doing
03:06:41 and the eldest church does
03:06:43 um
03:06:45 anyways it’s just wow
03:06:48 wow wow wow
03:06:50 yeah and
03:06:52 but
03:06:54 they don’t want to look at the science
03:06:55 they just look at what the mainstream
03:06:57 media is telling them to
03:07:00 believe
03:07:01 which is sad
03:07:02 even doctors
03:07:05 oh yeah and you’ve got the doctors
03:07:09 families
03:07:10 and they you know this so the kid is
03:07:12 running a fever
03:07:13 and they’ve been programmed and so they
03:07:15 rush them to the hospital and they say
03:07:17 see you have the corbid
03:07:19 um
03:07:21 virus
03:07:23 and
03:07:24 it just
03:07:26 it’s all about programming
03:07:28 it’s about control it’s about i think
03:07:31 seeing how close they are that they can
03:07:33 implement the mark of the beast
03:07:36 yeah
03:07:38 um
03:07:39 but anyways
03:07:41 but we can read more mosiah 29 if you
03:07:44 want um but my main thing was just
03:07:47 bringing out how those two verses
03:07:50 uh show that teaching is fulfilling
03:07:54 but the whole chapter is about law and
03:07:57 judges and
03:07:59 i’ll tell you although i believe the
03:08:03 founding fathers the united states were
03:08:05 inspired
03:08:06 they weren’t perfect nor did they make a
03:08:09 perfect document it was much better than
03:08:11 it was before
03:08:13 but oh yeah
03:08:17 i agree um in fact what they did
03:08:21 so i i’m living in argentina right now
03:08:25 they’re supposed to be republic like the
03:08:27 united states is
03:08:28 but the one thing they did different
03:08:31 in the united states
03:08:33 is they made it sovereign states
03:08:37 in argentina it was just one central
03:08:39 government and the corruption
03:08:42 got in to argentina much faster than it
03:08:45 did in the
03:08:47 because states
03:08:47 what god in
03:08:49 oh the corruption
03:08:52 because the united states are supposed
03:08:54 to be sovereign states
03:08:56 where
03:08:57 individual states that are working
03:09:00 together versus like
03:09:03 one like country that then is controlled
03:09:06 in one place so there’s
03:09:08 there’s more division of control at
03:09:10 least it was supposed to be in the
03:09:11 united states it’s not that way now
03:09:14 um because a lot of states have bowed
03:09:16 down to to get
03:09:18 money
03:09:19 which is what ends up being the case and
03:09:22 even in personal life too they bow down
03:09:24 to get money
03:09:26 right and that’s happened with the
03:09:27 states governments um do
03:09:32 anyways
03:09:33 but they don’t do
03:09:34 it the united states don’t do things
03:09:36 according to is mosiah 29.
03:09:41 for like us like i i think i’ve already
03:09:43 said a couple of times to say it again
03:09:46 the people are supposed to vote on the
03:09:48 laws it’s the voice of the people not
03:09:50 the voice of the representatives
03:09:54 because even in states representatives
03:09:56 don’t have to vote how the voice of the
03:09:59 people vote they can say whatever the
03:10:01 hell they want to they don’t have to
03:10:03 listen to the people
03:10:05 and they do they do whatever they want
03:10:07 to
03:10:08 or someone pays them to do or pressures
03:10:10 them to do instead of listening to the
03:10:12 people
03:10:15 um
03:10:16 and that’s partly why we’re in the mess
03:10:18 we’re in
03:10:20 oh and i also wanted to say
03:10:22 that if
03:10:24 punishments that were applied like god
03:10:26 said there’d be a lot less crime
03:10:30 oh yes people would go oh heck no i’m
03:10:33 not going to do that i could lose my
03:10:35 life over it yeah because i i mean
03:10:39 sadly
03:10:40 incest and rape is a big problem in this
03:10:43 country
03:10:44 oh yeah in the united states
03:10:47 in utah
03:10:48 sadly one thing i learned from
03:10:50 sam young is the highest
03:10:53 yes is ironic because it’s primarily
03:10:57 lds
03:10:59 yeah
03:10:59 and i think there’s a
03:11:01 tie to that but
03:11:03 anyways yeah
03:11:05 it goes back to the brigamite
03:11:07 yeah i would agree with the cochran
03:11:10 yeah because
03:11:11 they’re big on that polygamy and
03:11:14 sex
03:11:16 yes
03:11:17 [Music]
03:11:20 anyways you know what i notice the law
03:11:23 says they should be put to death that’s
03:11:25 a
03:11:26 those actions
03:11:28 are capital punishment they don’t get
03:11:31 second chances on that
03:11:33 wow right
03:11:35 but
03:11:36 the repentance process is
03:11:39 interesting but if they do it again
03:11:41 i mean it shows that they didn’t repent
03:11:44 and so there’s these multiple multiple
03:11:46 time
03:11:48 offenses okay so
03:11:50 i’m going and this is
03:11:52 public but oh well
03:11:56 as a
03:11:57 individual being abused as a child
03:12:01 dealing with the incest
03:12:05 you
03:12:06 not only become a victim
03:12:08 but then you become an abuser
03:12:13 that’s common i agree and so
03:12:17 um
03:12:19 you have the abuser being stoned
03:12:22 or killed
03:12:24 okay
03:12:25 but then you’ve got this victim
03:12:28 that has been taught
03:12:30 the sin and wickedness
03:12:33 and they’re continuing the sins of the
03:12:37 fathers
03:12:38 are they
03:12:39 to be killed as well well i think that’s
03:12:42 where the repentance part comes into
03:12:44 play
03:12:45 if they repent
03:12:46 you teach them and you say no this is
03:12:49 not right this is you know
03:12:52 you don’t have to continue on this path
03:12:56 so i i swear mercy
03:12:58 yeah i i corrected myself or i said
03:13:01 immediately and i corrected myself that
03:13:03 there is that repentance part if they
03:13:06 don’t repent
03:13:08 then they get the punishment because we
03:13:10 we read that earlier it’s just
03:13:12 that one’s a pretty heinous one right
03:13:16 oh yeah
03:13:17 and it’s not something that just comes
03:13:19 out of nowhere
03:13:22 you build up to that degree and so i or
03:13:26 you’ve been taught like i know
03:13:29 my father
03:13:30 got it from his father
03:13:32 sure
03:13:33 it was a long line
03:13:36 right right but he was taught over a
03:13:38 long period of time from his father but
03:13:41 it’s not something you just start doing
03:13:44 um
03:13:44 [Music]
03:13:46 but
03:13:49 though
03:13:50 in
03:13:52 pedophilia
03:13:53 they
03:13:55 somebody had to do it to somebody else
03:13:59 for that chain to continue right right
03:14:03 i mean it did have to start somewhere
03:14:05 though but i
03:14:07 i think it got started with someone who
03:14:09 was really close to satan so rather than
03:14:11 being taught yeah
03:14:14 now this is
03:14:15 this is what i see
03:14:20 i don’t see the sexual
03:14:23 and the book of mormon that i’ve seen
03:14:26 in the old testament
03:14:29 um
03:14:32 i would tend to agree with you there um
03:14:35 the record’s mainly of the nephites
03:14:37 though
03:14:39 and in generally speaking they’re really
03:14:42 oh do you need me to pause
03:14:45 okay
03:14:50 okay so in general this is the nephite
03:14:53 record not the lamanite record right but
03:14:58 for the most part the lamanites were the
03:14:59 really wicked ones but
03:15:02 um i
03:15:04 it doesn’t come out and say it but i
03:15:05 would wonder what could be included
03:15:08 jacob sexual sins in jacob too that’s
03:15:11 the only place i see it that
03:15:15 and where mormon says oh i cannot
03:15:20 hurl up your mind
03:15:23 with
03:15:23 what they have done uh i was gonna say
03:15:26 something along those lines too so i i
03:15:29 think
03:15:30 this shows everything to the degree that
03:15:32 was going on
03:15:35 when i wrote king brigham post
03:15:38 i knew it was going on but i didn’t come
03:15:41 out directly and say it
03:15:44 um at that point
03:15:46 partly because being nervous about it
03:15:48 and
03:15:49 it is kind of
03:15:51 pretty
03:15:51 bad
03:15:52 but i did bring up my
03:15:55 bishop’s post
03:15:57 how it’s happening
03:15:58 um
03:16:00 [Music]
03:16:02 if i ever get time bree there’s a post i
03:16:04 want to do entitled the inner sex cult
03:16:08 that would bring out how the top leaders
03:16:10 are doing it
03:16:13 in the eldest
03:16:14 church see i discovered that as well
03:16:20 um
03:16:22 one thing led to another i mean first
03:16:25 i was led to
03:16:27 tithing
03:16:29 and then
03:16:30 i was led to another and then to another
03:16:32 and then it was what brigham
03:16:36 didn’t
03:16:37 follow the teachings of joseph smith
03:16:40 he went totally against he on joseph
03:16:43 smith
03:16:44 what and then that led me into the
03:16:46 incest that led me into the
03:16:49 horrible
03:16:52 sexual things
03:16:53 and then
03:16:55 i was led into victims
03:16:59 like christie allen
03:17:03 has
03:17:06 stated
03:17:07 that
03:17:08 it was
03:17:10 high leaders
03:17:12 that were part of the ritual and stuff
03:17:16 and i’m like
03:17:17 oh wow
03:17:19 so
03:17:20 that’s exactly what happened in the book
03:17:24 of mormon it’s always the leaders
03:17:27 yeah
03:17:28 um
03:17:30 i i i know someone
03:17:33 that
03:17:34 was
03:17:35 raped in the salt lake city
03:17:38 uh holy of holies
03:17:42 [Music]
03:17:43 um also here
03:17:46 so in my bishops post i have a link to
03:17:48 the recording of joseph bishops um
03:17:54 talking to the police
03:17:56 the recording and other things
03:17:59 oh oh no this is i’m thinking the
03:18:01 recording that he were mckenna denson
03:18:03 recorded yeah mckenna
03:18:06 but
03:18:06 he admitted he went to a hot springs
03:18:10 with high lds leaders
03:18:13 where women were taking off their tops
03:18:15 and showing their boobs
03:18:17 i don’t know how that did not get
03:18:21 a bigger
03:18:23 the news didn’t make a big deal out of
03:18:24 that
03:18:25 right
03:18:26 i i i just
03:18:28 they
03:18:29 are
03:18:30 a part of it yeah i agree with that
03:18:33 other than that i don’t know why the
03:18:35 news wouldn’t cover that
03:18:38 i mean i talk about in my post and
03:18:40 people don’t believe me and i’m like go
03:18:42 listen to it he said yeah i’m just
03:18:44 reading he did
03:18:46 i i listened to it
03:18:49 i listened to mckenna’s
03:18:51 interview
03:18:52 yeah
03:18:53 yeah
03:18:54 well
03:18:55 the police interviewed him too which
03:18:56 came out later so i got a little mixed
03:18:58 up because it’s been a while but
03:19:00 it was mckenna’s interview that she
03:19:03 recorded that had that yeah
03:19:06 um
03:19:07 i i how
03:19:09 how can he’s the mission president
03:19:12 yeah he he was
03:19:15 the top
03:19:17 over the mission
03:19:19 though he was the
03:19:20 mtc
03:19:22 president
03:19:23 yes he taught the missionary
03:19:27 yeah
03:19:28 he was responsible for them
03:19:31 and
03:19:32 that’s horrible violated the trust
03:19:35 and that wasn’t his first time either no
03:19:39 no
03:19:40 and they did nothing
03:19:42 no they did something
03:19:44 they promoted him okay
03:19:46 well all right
03:19:48 yeah
03:19:49 but you know the law says to
03:19:50 excommunicate him the dnc says to
03:19:53 excommunicate
03:19:55 absolutely but they promote it and god’s
03:19:57 law
03:19:58 god’s law says
03:20:01 got to be punished
03:20:03 yeah and
03:20:04 and it won’t continue
03:20:07 but he has he’s done it multiple times
03:20:09 i know
03:20:11 i know they just hide it and promote
03:20:13 them that’s how they take care of it
03:20:17 i i don’t know how any member could be
03:20:18 okay with that
03:20:20 i really don’t
03:20:24 i anyways
03:20:25 but i was out of the church before that
03:20:28 got leaked so maybe i’m in a slightly
03:20:30 different situation than
03:20:32 most people but
03:20:34 i i just
03:20:36 it just baffles me
03:20:38 yeah
03:20:39 but the ld church is not the only one
03:20:41 that does has done that the catholic
03:20:43 church has done it the baptists have
03:20:44 done oh yes
03:20:46 have done it
03:20:48 all of them have done it
03:20:51 jews have done it
03:20:52 rabbi has done it it’s all buddhists
03:20:55 have done it
03:20:56 any religion
03:20:59 to uh christian judeo or whatever
03:21:01 they’ve done it admit all the mainstream
03:21:03 ones have done it
03:21:06 um yeah
03:21:08 i know
03:21:09 and it goes back to what i was telling
03:21:12 heavenly father
03:21:14 it was like
03:21:15 we’re supposed to intercede
03:21:18 and pray and have peace and i said
03:21:22 come before you
03:21:24 like isaiah
03:21:26 i’m a woman of
03:21:29 unclean lips in this generation
03:21:32 and it just makes my heart
03:21:36 just want to break and sob
03:21:41 it’s like
03:21:42 i pray we repent father
03:21:46 yeah
03:21:47 i
03:21:51 i hope we do
03:21:52 but
03:21:54 i think prophecy shows that in general
03:21:56 people are going to get more wicked
03:21:58 though
03:21:59 i know
03:22:01 and i hear
03:22:02 i hear things
03:22:06 in my family members and stuff you know
03:22:09 what they say to their children
03:22:12 and i
03:22:13 i’m i’m looking
03:22:15 at moroni 9
03:22:17 and it says they have lost verse 5
03:22:20 and they have lost their love
03:22:24 one for another
03:22:27 and i said i see the beginning
03:22:30 father where the heart
03:22:32 hardens and yells
03:22:35 you just need to be packed up and sent
03:22:38 away
03:22:41 you know to baby
03:22:43 and
03:22:45 and i’m like this is the
03:22:46 beginning well
03:22:48 you know the beginning of hardening your
03:22:50 heart
03:22:51 against
03:22:53 someone that the lord sent to you
03:22:56 to revere up to him
03:22:58 to teach him your way
03:23:02 and
03:23:07 my heart beats so heavy
03:23:11 yeah i i can
03:23:13 definitely understand why my neighbors
03:23:16 you know
03:23:21 and i i asked the lord where are the
03:23:24 ones
03:23:26 that
03:23:28 we can be around
03:23:30 you know like you’re all the way in
03:23:32 argina
03:23:34 and and i pray for your family i pray
03:23:37 for them to be
03:23:38 where the lord wants them to be but like
03:23:40 we began
03:23:42 with that
03:23:45 you
03:23:47 will not wear
03:23:49 the
03:23:50 church attire
03:23:52 you know when you go to worship
03:24:03 like i was saying i want to visit some
03:24:04 of the churches
03:24:07 that’s pretty much all it’s not all but
03:24:09 it’s most that you have to wear business
03:24:11 attire i mean they call it something
03:24:13 else they call it sunday’s best but it’s
03:24:15 not sunday’s best it’s business attire
03:24:18 but
03:24:20 okay but what i was driving to
03:24:24 is that’s the beginning
03:24:28 getting that sheep mentality and oh
03:24:30 you’re sinning
03:24:32 if you are not dressing that way and oh
03:24:36 you’re persecuted
03:24:39 well you know you’re not accepted
03:24:42 if you do not
03:24:45 dress
03:24:46 like us
03:24:47 and and that’s what it was all about in
03:24:50 the book of mormon alma 31 why did they
03:24:53 kick out the poor people because the yes
03:24:55 their bad dress
03:24:57 they didn’t dress
03:24:59 the same way
03:25:02 and so
03:25:04 it’s like
03:25:05 when will we learn uh
03:25:08 [Music]
03:25:09 so
03:25:11 this is sad but one thing that’s kind of
03:25:13 helped me a few that find it bree
03:25:16 yeah
03:25:18 it’s um
03:25:20 if you that not just find it it goes
03:25:23 back to lehi’s vision
03:25:26 there’s individuals they find it they
03:25:28 partake of that fruit
03:25:30 and because they’re persecuted because
03:25:33 the test
03:25:34 becomes
03:25:35 i’m not going to be accepted
03:25:38 i’m not going to belong
03:25:41 oh
03:25:42 okay
03:25:43 i’ll let go of this
03:25:45 and i’ll be like you
03:25:47 i’ll be a little puppet and a robot
03:25:51 well they call us robot spring but it’s
03:25:55 so it’s just you know
03:25:57 but we’re the ones that i think put a
03:25:59 lot more thought into it personally but
03:26:03 yeah i think but what you’re bringing
03:26:05 out how they ate the fruit and then fell
03:26:07 away because of the mocking of those who
03:26:10 were in the in this spacious building
03:26:13 but you know foundation
03:26:15 and what should our foundation be it
03:26:17 should be on yeshua
03:26:19 oh yes
03:26:20 it should be a firm should be a firm
03:26:23 foundation upon christ the reason
03:26:26 that building had no foundation is
03:26:28 because they’re not founded upon christ
03:26:30 because christ is a no
03:26:34 it’s founded on men
03:26:36 yeah and that’s not a it’s not a
03:26:38 foundation
03:26:39 um
03:26:40 but i think
03:26:42 the reason
03:26:43 or
03:26:44 the point that you bring out how some
03:26:45 partook and then fell away
03:26:48 reminds me of endure to the end
03:26:51 yes
03:26:52 and that’s what it says all through here
03:26:54 you take on his name
03:26:55 and you endure
03:26:58 that fiery
03:27:00 test and trials and persecutions and
03:27:04 mocking
03:27:05 and
03:27:07 alienating
03:27:09 sure and then there’s um
03:27:12 and the first part of moroni 7 i think
03:27:14 has a nice little point that goes along
03:27:17 with this
03:27:18 um
03:27:19 i don’t remember the verse we can find
03:27:20 it but it says
03:27:22 something along the lines i i know you
03:27:24 have
03:27:26 hope unto salvation
03:27:28 with
03:27:30 christ because of how
03:27:32 because of your peaceable walk among the
03:27:34 children of men
03:27:36 so
03:27:37 children of men versus children of god
03:27:40 children are men are the non-believers
03:27:43 ones who could include those in the
03:27:47 the big and spacious building that we’re
03:27:49 mocking
03:27:50 because
03:27:51 once we accept the way we become
03:27:53 children of god after we’ve made a
03:27:55 covenant that keep his ways
03:27:57 children are right those who haven’t and
03:27:59 so it’s
03:28:00 how they acted with those who believed
03:28:03 differently than them
03:28:06 in fact even
03:28:07 sermon on the mount slash at the temple
03:28:10 teach the same thing
03:28:11 about you know
03:28:13 great you you love people like the
03:28:15 sadducees and pharisees they they love
03:28:17 their kind too
03:28:19 you need to love your enemy
03:28:24 right
03:28:25 well it goes along
03:28:27 with separating
03:28:30 and and i know
03:28:32 you you shared this
03:28:34 what
03:28:35 joseph smith taught in genesis 6
03:28:40 but there was a separation of sons of
03:28:44 men
03:28:45 versus sons of god
03:28:48 oh sure yeah i mean well
03:28:50 what i brought out from the jst was just
03:28:53 how it’s not
03:28:54 [Music]
03:28:55 giants or um
03:28:57 or angels that came down and had sex
03:28:59 with women it was
03:29:01 men that were initially following god as
03:29:05 the jst makes clear
03:29:07 that then and they changed
03:29:10 their heart
03:29:11 well they lusted upon
03:29:14 women
03:29:15 of men
03:29:17 or i don’t know that’s the best way to
03:29:19 say it but women of the world is
03:29:21 probably a better way of saying it and
03:29:22 then they corrected them
03:29:24 and that’s part of the reason why
03:29:27 god wants us to marry believers
03:29:31 is that we work together i mean yes a
03:29:34 big solomon’s heart was turned away from
03:29:37 god from all the multiple wives that he
03:29:39 married that didn’t follow yahweh
03:29:42 they all those wives
03:29:44 changed
03:29:45 his heart
03:29:47 women have a way with men
03:29:51 [Music]
03:29:54 we might be strong but we’re weak when
03:29:57 it comes to women
03:30:01 well
03:30:02 anyways
03:30:04 yeah it says a woman can change
03:30:07 how is it
03:30:09 a woman can change
03:30:11 turn the neck
03:30:13 of
03:30:15 the husband
03:30:20 and christ
03:30:22 changes the heart
03:30:24 i think there was a saying i used to
03:30:28 follow
03:30:30 and you know keep in my mind and it’s
03:30:33 like okay i can either
03:30:35 which way do i want to turn his neck
03:30:39 sure well
03:30:40 right you know
03:30:42 if we’re married to unbeliever we
03:30:44 shouldn’t divorce them
03:30:47 the new testament teaches that we should
03:30:49 stay married is it ephesians
03:30:52 in ephesians it says that
03:30:54 the
03:30:56 example that the wife set for the
03:31:00 unbelieving husband
03:31:05 or the husband
03:31:08 but
03:31:08 you can change them
03:31:10 you shouldn’t yeah
03:31:12 you shouldn’t get divorced just because
03:31:13 you believe differently right
03:31:16 but sadly that happens
03:31:19 yeah
03:31:21 all right well in in
03:31:24 i was just saying in row 97 there’s the
03:31:26 phrase and about how you walk among the
03:31:29 children of men the peaceable walk that
03:31:31 you have among the children of men
03:31:34 oh i went to mosiah
03:31:37 no wonder i can’t find it
03:31:39 and i’m like i don’t see this anywhere
03:31:42 he is talking about me
03:31:45 might help if i go to the right
03:31:48 oh yeah i can write book and chapter
03:31:52 yeah that might be a little bit
03:31:53 different
03:31:55 okay
03:31:56 so moroni
03:31:58 uh so it’s moroni seven four
03:32:01 well it’s three and four
03:32:03 um
03:32:04 but three
03:32:09 wherefore i speak unto you that are of
03:32:11 the church that are are that are the
03:32:14 peaceful
03:32:15 peaceable followers of christ that you
03:32:18 have
03:32:19 obtained a sufficient hope not just some
03:32:21 hope sufficient hope
03:32:24 by which you can enter into the rest of
03:32:26 the lord
03:32:27 i mean
03:32:30 the rest of the lord could be another
03:32:32 uh session
03:32:34 that’s a big one right there but anyways
03:32:36 from this time henceforth until you you
03:32:38 shall rest with him
03:32:40 in heaven
03:32:42 and now my brethren i judge these things
03:32:45 of you
03:32:46 so many i’m looking your fruits your
03:32:48 fruits
03:32:49 of your peaceful
03:32:51 walk with the children of men that’s how
03:32:54 come he knew
03:32:56 what was in the first three is because
03:32:58 of what he saw
03:33:00 of that he talks about in verse four
03:33:03 because okay so
03:33:04 they were imparting to one another
03:33:08 they were sharing
03:33:10 where there was no poor
03:33:13 uh sure i think it’s more how you um
03:33:16 interact with
03:33:18 people um meaning when they’re being
03:33:21 mean to you but um i i see the other
03:33:23 things you’re saying
03:33:25 i don’t know if i would include that
03:33:26 myself but let’s go look up peaceable
03:33:28 in the dictionary
03:33:32 see what it says
03:33:35 well wouldn’t that be peace
03:33:38 if you’re taking care of your neighbor
03:33:42 otherwise your neighbor is not in peace
03:33:46 but
03:33:47 it says you’re
03:33:49 not
03:33:50 others
03:33:52 let’s look up peaceable
03:33:55 so uh peaceable okay
03:33:58 free from war to men or public commotion
03:34:02 we live in peaceable time so not oh
03:34:06 you’re breaking up oh lovely
03:34:09 all right uh do you hear me right now
03:34:12 yeah because it says by your works you
03:34:16 shall know them the same remember the
03:34:19 word god
03:34:20 which says by your work you show them so
03:34:24 whatever works
03:34:26 well the works is how you interact with
03:34:28 people that’s a work yeah
03:34:30 so you’re taking care
03:34:33 sure sure i i’m not doubting that part i
03:34:35 just i don’t think that’s what peaceable
03:34:37 is so
03:34:39 that’s where i’m bringing up the
03:34:40 definition of okay peaceable
03:34:43 free from war
03:34:46 too much or public commotion
03:34:49 and then they give an example we live in
03:34:51 peaceable times the re reformation was
03:34:54 introduced in a peaceable manner
03:34:57 so when
03:34:59 when you want to change something
03:35:03 in this case this example they gave they
03:35:04 gave it in a way that there wasn’t war
03:35:07 it was peaceful it was discussion not
03:35:09 fighting
03:35:11 so and that’s just kind of like a little
03:35:13 summary of the word peaceable
03:35:16 definition they’re respectful
03:35:19 and
03:35:20 they’re not contending
03:35:22 with one another right they respect
03:35:26 another person’s opinion or they respect
03:35:29 another person’s way of worshiping
03:35:33 correct that’s how i see peaceable i do
03:35:35 believe we need to help other people but
03:35:37 i don’t think that’s what peaceable
03:35:39 means but let’s read the rest of the the
03:35:41 definition to make sure
03:35:43 so definition one free from private
03:35:47 feuds or corals so that’s fighting
03:35:50 the neighbors are peaceable these men
03:35:53 are peaceable so i mean they’re not
03:35:55 fighting
03:35:57 um which i would apply to during the end
03:36:00 all right
03:36:01 two
03:36:03 quiet
03:36:04 undisturbed
03:36:06 not a aggregated with passion
03:36:09 so not
03:36:10 when you get frustrated you don’t let it
03:36:13 build up and you act on it right his
03:36:15 mind is very peaceable
03:36:18 three
03:36:19 not violent
03:36:20 bloody or unnatural
03:36:22 as to die a peaceable death
03:36:26 uh oh okay so you didn’t die in war like
03:36:29 you died in your sleep
03:36:32 or natural causes or
03:36:35 anyways
03:36:36 um but
03:36:38 it has nothing to do about helping your
03:36:40 neighbors which we should do but it’s
03:36:42 how you interact it’s not fighting
03:36:44 [Music]
03:36:45 right not it’s not being contentious
03:36:51 um
03:36:53 and so when
03:36:54 kind of bringing up with how you said
03:36:56 with the the mocking from the great
03:36:59 spacious building
03:37:01 they don’t walk back
03:37:02 i mean
03:37:03 you can try to explain and expound
03:37:05 [Music]
03:37:06 but you don’t
03:37:08 try to be mean to explain to them that
03:37:11 what you’re doing is better you’re nice
03:37:13 about it or you don’t call names and
03:37:15 make
03:37:16 how is it father
03:37:18 condescending yeah you’re not
03:37:20 condescending yeah i agree with that
03:37:22 condescending is
03:37:24 being condescending
03:37:27 is not peaceable it’s the opposite of it
03:37:33 um
03:37:34 and so we can know
03:37:36 in fact you’ll know them by their fruits
03:37:38 this is an example of moroni three and
03:37:40 four he says this is what i know and
03:37:42 four this is why i know that
03:37:47 and then five it says by their works
03:37:50 if their works be good then they are
03:37:53 good also
03:37:56 true
03:37:58 um
03:38:00 and i reread this chapter not too long
03:38:02 ago
03:38:03 but in here it talks about how real
03:38:06 intent
03:38:08 i mean if you do something but you don’t
03:38:10 do it through the right reason
03:38:12 you’re not really doing it it in fact it
03:38:15 actually says
03:38:16 it’s counted unto evil
03:38:18 yeah verse 6
03:38:21 but see
03:38:22 okay i guess this is where i got that
03:38:26 how they were peaceable
03:38:29 is that
03:38:31 um
03:38:32 in five
03:38:34 well it goes to most
03:38:36 i said
03:38:37 they were very strict
03:38:40 to observe the law
03:38:45 and there was no iniquity among them
03:38:48 well we know what iniquity is
03:38:51 is when you
03:38:52 do not take care of your poor
03:38:55 when you do
03:38:57 withhold your substance then you think
03:39:00 you know
03:39:01 that you’re more deserving than they are
03:39:04 so where are you getting that reference
03:39:05 from is that from the lds edition or the
03:39:09 snuffer
03:39:11 no no this is moroni chapter six
03:39:16 oh
03:39:17 oh okay for some reason i got a little
03:39:18 confused um
03:39:20 where the church meets often
03:39:23 yeah you know i mean
03:39:25 here’s their works
03:39:29 we’re right
03:39:30 i was just looking at
03:39:33 what was happening
03:39:35 prior if
03:39:38 you read it these are completely they
03:39:39 were truly repentant of all their sins
03:39:43 yeah i so
03:39:45 six or seven are completely independent
03:39:47 from each other in
03:39:49 seven is a letter
03:39:52 that
03:39:53 moroni
03:39:55 is transcribing on the place that his
03:39:57 father taught
03:39:59 right
03:40:00 right right
03:40:02 and
03:40:03 in chapter six
03:40:05 is i don’t know if we know where it came
03:40:08 from but it’s just
03:40:10 something that’s thrown in that’s
03:40:12 kind of like this is how we do things in
03:40:15 the church
03:40:16 i think one came after the other i
03:40:20 i ronai seven could have came before
03:40:23 historically then six
03:40:25 i just i i don’t know one way or the
03:40:27 other to be honest
03:40:29 it’s just
03:40:30 like some of these things i think no
03:40:32 neither but it was a part of it
03:40:37 well you look at the
03:40:39 they’re different
03:40:40 on the gold plates they’re different
03:40:42 chapters
03:40:45 there’s the little tilt in between the
03:40:46 two
03:40:47 chapters right what you showed me yes
03:40:51 that was a chapter on the gold plates
03:40:54 they’re
03:40:56 i just i don’t see them a connection
03:40:58 between or the order between these two
03:41:00 because
03:41:01 i think i hear from you that you’re
03:41:02 getting something because one came after
03:41:04 the other
03:41:06 i i i just i don’t see that
03:41:09 these are just letters that got inserted
03:41:11 into it
03:41:12 okay but i am looking for fruits of
03:41:18 individuals that have taken on the name
03:41:21 of christ
03:41:23 individuals that were remembering and
03:41:27 nourished
03:41:28 by
03:41:29 their teachers
03:41:31 right
03:41:32 and they what were the fruits one they
03:41:36 were strict
03:41:37 to observe
03:41:39 what the lord commanded them
03:41:42 correct yeah i agree that i’m just
03:41:46 that is what you’re saying
03:41:48 i just don’t think that’s peaceable
03:41:50 peaceable is not is a fruit but it’s not
03:41:53 all fruits is probably one way to say it
03:41:56 okay and so
03:41:58 i
03:41:59 because of the peaceable walk
03:42:03 that happened
03:42:05 because they met together often
03:42:08 they did fast they did right they did
03:42:10 speak they did teach for the welfare of
03:42:14 everyone’s soul i would agree with that
03:42:17 that was the connection that i was
03:42:20 trying to make
03:42:22 so i when we hear the word of god and
03:42:24 get it expounded to us it makes us
03:42:27 more like god and so then we’re going to
03:42:29 be peaceable but the statement here is
03:42:32 peaceable walk among the children of men
03:42:34 not the children of god
03:42:36 when they’re meeting at church
03:42:38 they’re meeting primarily with the
03:42:40 children of god now children of men can
03:42:42 go to church
03:42:44 and learn and then become children of
03:42:46 god
03:42:47 but
03:42:49 at church
03:42:50 it’s primarily the children of god
03:42:53 meaning
03:42:54 not children of men
03:42:58 you see the
03:42:59 the distinction i’m making there
03:43:03 children or men are out in the world you
03:43:05 have believers
03:43:07 so what you’re saying is you have the
03:43:09 believers
03:43:11 and then the children of men
03:43:14 are mainly unbelievers they’re walk
03:43:18 they’re walk is contentious their walk
03:43:21 is uh not always but it can be it’s just
03:43:24 children of men is a general term for
03:43:26 people who don’t believe in god
03:43:29 and not his ways
03:43:31 children of god are those who have
03:43:34 entered into the covenant
03:43:37 who’ve taken the covenant to keep his
03:43:39 ways
03:43:42 that’s when you become a child of god is
03:43:44 when you make that covenant
03:43:46 and you keep it
03:43:48 like you do it with real intent you
03:43:49 don’t don’t just say it because you’re
03:43:51 expected to right like it happens in a
03:43:54 lot of churches
03:43:56 you become one when you say it and mean
03:43:58 it intend it and you do it
03:44:01 until then
03:44:02 you’re you’re a child of men
03:44:06 okay
03:44:08 now i understand where you’re coming
03:44:10 from
03:44:11 and so it’s easy
03:44:15 to be good around good people
03:44:19 those that like minded or you know that
03:44:22 are going along
03:44:24 yeah i think the same way
03:44:26 it’s
03:44:26 harder to be that way when you’re around
03:44:29 people who are mocking you for it in
03:44:31 fact part of the reason
03:44:33 after that that’s part of the verses
03:44:35 that we read
03:44:37 sufficient hope
03:44:39 you need a lot of hope to do to act that
03:44:42 way when people are
03:44:45 trying to tear you down on a consistent
03:44:48 basis like they’re mocking you from
03:44:50 the building without a foundation it
03:44:52 takes more hope
03:44:54 to be able to withstand that it’s
03:44:56 easy to do it when everybody else is
03:44:59 that way
03:45:01 yeah i deal with
03:45:03 it all the time
03:45:06 uh i i do to some case uh not to the
03:45:09 extreme that it sounds like you have
03:45:11 though um
03:45:13 yeah
03:45:14 um but i i the main point is that
03:45:19 like i should
03:45:21 hope i mean
03:45:23 we could go
03:45:24 look at the definition of sufficient but
03:45:26 you that’s like you need enough you have
03:45:29 enough to do this
03:45:32 well
03:45:33 you know what i hear
03:45:35 when
03:45:36 it says you’ve obtained a sufficient
03:45:38 hope
03:45:39 i know what gets me through things
03:45:43 is my desire
03:45:46 for one day
03:45:48 their attitudes to change their
03:45:50 perspective to change
03:45:53 their walk will become peaceable
03:45:57 that’s the sufficient hope
03:46:00 that i have in his atonement
03:46:06 i
03:46:11 so i i think that’s a great goal
03:46:13 um to think that and hope that people
03:46:15 are going to accept god’s ways
03:46:18 though i
03:46:21 it’s not going to happen for everybody
03:46:23 um i i think
03:46:25 we need to act the way that god does
03:46:27 whether if they accept it
03:46:29 or not
03:46:36 we need to do it because we want to be
03:46:39 that way not because it’s convenient
03:46:42 or that they may accept it you’re
03:46:44 breaking up
03:46:46 we need to be the way
03:46:50 not everybody is going to convert to
03:46:52 god’s ways
03:46:54 in fact the scriptures say few be that
03:46:56 find it
03:46:58 right
03:46:59 so not everybody’s going to convert
03:47:02 it it would be nice if everybody would
03:47:06 but not everybody is right
03:47:08 you know you accept
03:47:10 their ages
03:47:12 you can’t see
03:47:14 where they’re at and see i used to
03:47:17 believe in forever families
03:47:20 i don’t anymore
03:47:22 the book of mormon i i have accepted
03:47:25 yes i have accepted
03:47:29 that there’s
03:47:31 the children
03:47:32 how do i say it
03:47:34 there’s families
03:47:37 i guess of children of men
03:47:39 and then there’s the family
03:47:42 of children
03:47:45 did i say that right
03:47:47 you broke up a little bit
03:47:50 okay
03:47:52 well what i understand now
03:47:55 is that
03:47:57 there’s the family
03:48:00 of children of men and there’s the fam
03:48:03 the family
03:48:05 of christ
03:48:06 sure
03:48:07 or you could say the wheat and the tares
03:48:09 right
03:48:11 the children right right or the children
03:48:13 of god there’s it’s the two distinctions
03:48:18 right so when i say this sufficient hope
03:48:23 if i have in my mind and heart that
03:48:29 okay
03:48:30 when i hear hope
03:48:33 i have hope in the atonement
03:48:35 right
03:48:36 i have hope
03:48:37 in his grace it’s sufficient
03:48:40 okay i
03:48:43 have an intercessory prayer
03:48:47 it’s in their behalf
03:48:50 i have a hope
03:48:51 for them
03:48:53 to
03:48:54 turn to christ but at the same time
03:48:58 i have
03:49:00 a clear understanding
03:49:02 of
03:49:03 i will respect your agency
03:49:06 where you choose
03:49:08 to be sure yeah i could i can see that
03:49:12 um do you do you see
03:49:15 i i see that i
03:49:17 understand i’m not the judge
03:49:21 right right i guess maybe i’m just
03:49:23 coming out at a different
03:49:25 approach
03:49:26 um
03:49:27 in fact just real quick but let’s read
03:49:30 sufficient dick’s uh definition from the
03:49:32 dictionary
03:49:34 um okay
03:49:36 and
03:49:38 and it’s
03:49:39 like i was kind of emphasizing enough
03:49:41 before it’s interesting to me that they
03:49:43 say
03:49:44 enough is the first word that they put
03:49:46 as the definition
03:49:48 equal to the
03:49:50 proposed adequate
03:49:53 to wants
03:49:56 competent
03:49:57 as provisions sufficient for the family
03:50:00 water sufficient for the voyage an army
03:50:04 sufficient to defend the country
03:50:06 my grace is sufficient
03:50:08 for thee second corinthians 12 9.
03:50:11 so definition one so that’s just kind of
03:50:14 like a little second
03:50:16 second corinthians
03:50:19 twelve nine
03:50:21 okay
03:50:23 uh qualified so
03:50:25 uh competent
03:50:27 possessing adequate talents or
03:50:29 accomplishments as a man sufficient
03:50:32 for an office definition two fit able
03:50:37 competent power or ability
03:50:40 who is sufficient for these things
03:50:42 second corinthians
03:50:44 two six
03:50:45 and so
03:50:48 sufficient to me this kind of just
03:50:50 confirms what i was thinking is that do
03:50:52 you have enough hope
03:50:55 to
03:50:56 walk into the the world
03:50:59 and be made fun of but still stay strong
03:51:02 and hold to the rod is what i see in
03:51:05 that verse
03:51:07 okay
03:51:08 okay yes
03:51:09 i hear i see that too
03:51:13 but when i see the hope it’s connected
03:51:16 to the atonement
03:51:18 right yeah in fact that’s what we should
03:51:20 hope for
03:51:21 um and it’s because of the hope of the
03:51:23 atonement and the promises that come
03:51:25 along with it that give us the
03:51:26 sufficient hope that’s where the hope
03:51:28 comes from but do you believe it enough
03:51:32 to endure
03:51:33 the world
03:51:36 and to have peace in the fight
03:51:39 right peaceable battle
03:51:41 right because
03:51:43 i
03:51:45 i mean i’ve never really made the
03:51:46 connection here but as we’re talking
03:51:48 here this is all these three verses
03:51:49 about endure to the end right
03:51:54 because it’s your walk how you do things
03:51:59 and where you’re going even though that
03:52:01 you’re among the children of men
03:52:05 where is your direction
03:52:08 do you keep
03:52:09 going do you keep enduring or do you
03:52:12 give up or do you give up
03:52:16 go to the spacious building
03:52:19 right
03:52:20 and but with moroni 6 that you’re
03:52:23 bringing up
03:52:24 you’re with believers the children of
03:52:26 god
03:52:28 in romani 6 when you’re going to church
03:52:30 primarily i mean children are men are
03:52:32 allowed to come as long as they don’t
03:52:34 cause a ruckus and stuff like that right
03:52:36 because they can come and learn but they
03:52:38 can’t but if they start teaching
03:52:41 against
03:52:42 after they’ve been explained what is
03:52:44 true right now
03:52:46 uh once they start teaching oh you still
03:52:49 can’t hear me can you hear me
03:52:51 can you hear me
03:52:53 can you hear me now
03:52:55 it’s it’s
03:52:57 it’s going back and forth
03:53:00 um
03:53:01 what i was just
03:53:02 trying to say is i can hear you children
03:53:04 of men are allowed to go to church
03:53:08 so it’s not that’s why i’m saying it’s
03:53:09 not all children of god because the
03:53:12 children are men
03:53:13 really
03:53:15 what
03:53:16 are you is it because the inner internet
03:53:18 or you’re just saying that because of
03:53:20 what i’m saying
03:53:25 every time you try
03:53:28 it breaks up
03:53:30 dang it um
03:53:32 so okay this is this is what i’m
03:53:35 catching from you which i deeply
03:53:37 appreciate and had not before
03:53:41 you’re pointing out
03:53:43 if you’re with believers
03:53:45 and those that are trying to walk
03:53:48 peaceably walk as the lord wants you to
03:53:52 and becoming like christ that’s easy
03:53:56 no
03:53:57 but
03:53:58 well it’s easier really
03:54:00 it’s easier all right and then
03:54:04 chapter seven is actually focused on
03:54:08 when you’re walking with the worldly
03:54:11 yes
03:54:12 yes
03:54:13 and you still peaceably
03:54:15 but okay so
03:54:17 like that because it was just choppy
03:54:20 i’m sorry
03:54:22 you’ll have to watch the youtube video
03:54:24 breathe
03:54:25 i know
03:54:28 okay that’s funny i was chopping
03:54:36 okay
03:54:37 so
03:54:38 as
03:54:39 that
03:54:40 is being pointed out
03:54:43 which i think is really cool all right
03:54:47 then
03:54:48 the
03:54:51 help me not to lose it the dog’s whining
03:54:55 and
03:54:57 it’s like wants to be a part of the camp
03:55:00 outside doing this remorse
03:55:03 so maybe we might
03:55:05 we work or reword that verse peaceable
03:55:08 walk with the dogs of men sorry
03:55:10 [Laughter]
03:55:11 [Music]
03:55:12 i’m sorry
03:55:15 no actually that could fit though brie
03:55:17 i’ll tell you a dog is symbolic of
03:55:21 followers or a tribe or a group of men
03:55:26 okay it’s it’s symbolism and it’s in the
03:55:29 scriptures
03:55:31 um but
03:55:33 a dog are followers
03:55:38 you see them in the movies too
03:55:40 well yeah but i’m just talking about
03:55:42 symbolism that’s used in the scriptures
03:55:44 and
03:55:45 follow
03:55:46 yeah
03:55:46 it’s even in the movies
03:55:48 dogs go pay attention how they use dogs
03:55:51 in the movies
03:55:53 at least the ones that put more thought
03:55:55 into things anyways they’re followers
03:55:57 they’re the tribes they’re the people
03:55:59 but anyways
03:56:01 so i was being somewhat funny but
03:56:03 then i turned it into a little yes
03:56:06 okay
03:56:07 got it
03:56:08 now this is the thought that came
03:56:12 to me about the work word peaceable
03:56:16 that doesn’t mean
03:56:20 okay
03:56:21 did we look up the word peaceable uh
03:56:24 yeah do you want me to read it again
03:56:27 yeah where was i when you read it
03:56:30 uh i don’t know because you read
03:56:32 sufficient
03:56:34 i read peaceable i’ll read it again for
03:56:36 you
03:56:37 um oh it was the non-violent yeah it’s
03:56:40 the nominee
03:56:42 non-conscious not
03:56:44 okay so this brings up
03:56:46 because i become
03:56:48 contentious
03:56:50 if i
03:56:52 bring up
03:56:55 the erroneous way
03:56:57 of doing something or what is bringing
03:57:00 contention all of a sudden it’s turned
03:57:02 on to me
03:57:04 that
03:57:05 i am not a peacemaker
03:57:07 no that’s that’s false and i know who’s
03:57:10 telling you that and he’s wrong
03:57:12 he’s wrong and i can explain why if you
03:57:14 want me to
03:57:16 so so
03:57:18 yeah for our listeners as well
03:57:21 because we’re not meant to be a doormat
03:57:25 no we’re not
03:57:26 the lord was a peaceable
03:57:30 man
03:57:31 and he wants us to be like him but
03:57:36 he raised up
03:57:38 and he
03:57:40 ruffled feathers
03:57:42 yes he did and
03:57:44 he even called
03:57:46 names to
03:57:49 to leaders who were way leaders
03:57:53 the heirs of their way their sin
03:57:56 their wickedness
03:57:58 and we are told repeatedly
03:58:02 that we are
03:58:04 to
03:58:06 um be concerned for the welfare of each
03:58:09 other’s souls
03:58:11 and that love
03:58:13 is showing love to an individual is
03:58:17 showing not
03:58:19 not allowing them to sin without warning
03:58:23 without instruction all right
03:58:25 torah says we’re supposed to um
03:58:29 reprove
03:58:31 yeah fellow believers and so does the
03:58:33 book of mormon like notice the doctrine
03:58:36 cabinet
03:58:38 i don’t doubt it i don’t know where it
03:58:39 is 21
03:58:41 reproof with shot ah yeah that’s true
03:58:44 okay you’re right i forgot about that
03:58:46 one but
03:58:47 yeah it it
03:58:49 and it’s in that new testament too in
03:58:52 fact it’s in the sermon on the mount
03:58:54 that people just read past it
03:59:01 [Music]
03:59:05 so
03:59:08 if we go down this peacemaker line so
03:59:10 let’s go read that in the sermon on the
03:59:12 mount real quick about the peacemakers
03:59:14 to start off with that before we go
03:59:17 uh too far okay um i’m turning to it
03:59:21 so it’s going to be
03:59:22 matthew 5 if i remember correctly
03:59:26 oh i turned to third knee
03:59:28 oh we can do the third knee phi one
03:59:30 that’s the sermon at the temple that’s
03:59:32 fine it’s the same thing
03:59:36 so that’s gonna be 13 by 12
03:59:38 i mean yeah 30 by 12.
03:59:42 uh i don’t know the uh the verse is nine
03:59:45 nine
03:59:48 so let’s look at this a little bit
03:59:50 i’m going to read this blessed are the
03:59:52 peacemakers for they shall be called the
03:59:54 children of god
03:59:57 now
03:59:58 this relates to what i call children of
04:00:01 god and children of men right so keep
04:00:03 this in mind
04:00:05 what is peace what is the peace that we
04:00:08 should be making
04:00:14 how do we bring peace to people
04:00:22 i’ll be more quiet
04:00:24 how
04:00:25 do we help people have peace
04:00:30 we help them turn to the lord
04:00:33 yeah bingo we help
04:00:36 how to
04:00:37 love the lord is keeping his
04:00:41 command
04:00:42 correct
04:00:44 that’s how we help people have peace
04:00:47 is bringing them
04:00:48 to god
04:00:50 because he is the source of peace
04:00:54 now
04:00:55 um we can expound upon that even more if
04:00:58 you want um
04:00:59 because
04:01:00 mosiah 15
04:01:02 talks about publishing peace
04:01:05 um
04:01:06 let’s go get that up real quick
04:01:08 okay
04:01:15 now oh before we go there um
04:01:18 so we both agree it’s teaching god’s
04:01:20 ways right
04:01:22 what happens
04:01:24 after you have the baptism of fire
04:01:26 according to 35 i mean second nephi 31
04:01:30 well you can speak the tongue of angels
04:01:32 which is
04:01:34 teachings god’s ways
04:01:39 right
04:01:40 okay so let’s go to mosiah 15.
04:01:46 let’s see what verse is it
04:01:48 um
04:01:50 i have notes on this i don’t have
04:01:51 anything
04:01:52 really prepared
04:01:55 so
04:01:56 published piece in 14.
04:01:59 okay what exactly are you looking for
04:02:02 yeah that that’s it so let’s go to 14.
04:02:05 well are they
04:02:06 which published piece yeah let’s maybe
04:02:09 start
04:02:11 i’m going to start with
04:02:12 13.
04:02:14 yea
04:02:16 and are not the prophets
04:02:18 everyone that has opened his mouth to
04:02:20 prophesy now prophecy is supposed to
04:02:24 help
04:02:25 non-believers to believe right that’s a
04:02:28 purpose
04:02:29 prophecy is to help bring
04:02:31 the belief and get your desire to start
04:02:33 believing and to prick your um heart
04:02:36 right because there’s multiple parts to
04:02:38 it anyways but who’ve
04:02:40 brought good tidings
04:02:42 of good
04:02:44 who have published salvation
04:02:48 and said on design thy god reigneth
04:02:51 so
04:02:53 how do you publish salvation
04:02:57 you teach god’s ways
04:03:02 you gain salvation
04:03:05 by
04:03:07 becoming a son of god son or daughter of
04:03:10 god
04:03:11 which
04:03:12 happens when you covenant to keep all
04:03:15 his commandments
04:03:18 but if you don’t know what they are
04:03:22 you can’t
04:03:24 have them and you can’t teach them and
04:03:25 you can’t follow them
04:03:27 and you wouldn’t be able to say that
04:03:31 yahweh reigneth
04:03:33 because you wouldn’t understand
04:03:34 everything
04:03:36 oh how so
04:03:38 actually let me
04:03:40 abinadi is bringing this up because
04:03:43 the wicked priests
04:03:45 of noah were trying to accuse
04:03:49 abinadi for not publishing peace and so
04:03:52 abinadi is trying to help them
04:03:53 understand what publishing peace really
04:03:56 is because they thought it was oh just
04:03:58 their interpretation of publishing peace
04:04:00 was all as well and zion
04:04:04 that’s what most wicked people take it
04:04:06 to be all is well
04:04:07 don’t call me to repentance
04:04:09 leave me alone i’m fine let me sin a
04:04:12 little bit god will
04:04:13 strike me and it’ll be over with it’s
04:04:15 okay but that’s not peace
04:04:19 that’s not peace
04:04:20 wickedness never was happiness
04:04:24 you can’t have peace without happiness
04:04:26 they build but anyways
04:04:28 um
04:04:29 oh how beautiful upon the mountains were
04:04:32 their feet
04:04:34 so the profits feed so
04:04:36 there’s um
04:04:43 hopefully i don’t butcher this because
04:04:45 it’s been a little while
04:04:47 there’s a phrase
04:04:48 about walking in the
04:04:50 the dust of my rabbi
04:04:53 so when jesus went around
04:04:55 walking and preaching
04:04:57 they they wore sandals and the dirt
04:04:59 there is like
04:05:01 jerusalem it’s sand everywhere
04:05:03 it’s
04:05:05 thirsty and so that’s why they talk
04:05:07 about the phrase of walking in the dust
04:05:10 of
04:05:11 my rabbi
04:05:13 because
04:05:14 people would follow him they would be in
04:05:17 the dust from jesus walking
04:05:19 they were watching him and being with
04:05:21 him
04:05:22 and it’s
04:05:24 he
04:05:25 did all this walking around to publish
04:05:28 the peace
04:05:29 and his feet
04:05:32 helped him do that and that’s why his
04:05:33 feet are beautiful because all the work
04:05:36 he went walking around
04:05:38 talking to all these people
04:05:41 and again how beautiful upon the
04:05:43 mountains are the feet of those who are
04:05:45 still publishing peace
04:05:48 still publishing peace
04:05:50 those who are publishing salvation
04:05:56 in mountains you probably
04:05:59 are aware of this it has to do with
04:06:01 um mount sinai
04:06:04 that’s a big mountain
04:06:07 and what happened there we got the law
04:06:11 [Music]
04:06:13 um and again how beautiful upon the
04:06:15 mountain on
04:06:16 defeat of those who shall hereafter
04:06:19 publish peace yay from this time hence
04:06:22 forth and forever saying it was not it’s
04:06:24 not just christ it’s all the prophets
04:06:26 and the and the believers that are
04:06:28 publishing this
04:06:31 and behold i say unto you
04:06:33 this is not all
04:06:35 for
04:06:36 oh
04:06:37 how beautiful upon the mountains are the
04:06:39 feet of him
04:06:41 that bringeth good tidings
04:06:43 that is the founder
04:06:46 of peace
04:06:49 yea even the lord
04:06:52 he is the foundation he’s where the
04:06:53 peace comes from he even says it founder
04:06:56 of peace
04:06:58 it’s his ways that bring us peace
04:07:03 who has redeemed his people
04:07:09 yea
04:07:10 him who has granted salvation unto his
04:07:13 people
04:07:18 that’s peace
04:07:20 that’s salvation
04:07:24 so
04:07:25 let’s go look at um i think it’s mosaic
04:07:27 27 let me check
04:07:31 uh let me look at my
04:07:33 notes
04:07:39 i think it um let’s go look at mosiah 27
04:07:42 it’s been a little while because
04:07:44 in here i think it’s mosiah 27.
04:07:48 the ease
04:07:49 there’s some commentary
04:07:51 about right
04:07:53 all of the younger and the sons of
04:07:55 mosiah after they had repented
04:07:58 and what did they do after they repented
04:08:00 they went and published peace
04:08:03 um so let me
04:08:05 find
04:08:09 um
04:08:14 oh i think it’s here so
04:08:18 uh let’s look at verses
04:08:20 four and six
04:08:23 let me get it
04:08:25 i like the
04:08:26 i’m switching back and forth between the
04:08:28 different editions right and
04:08:30 yes um okay
04:08:32 this is going kind of
04:08:35 off the whim i know the basics of it but
04:08:37 i don’t have all my i’m just going off
04:08:39 with some rough notes here
04:08:43 [Music]
04:08:45 that um
04:08:47 well we could let’s just start at the
04:08:49 beginning of 27
04:08:51 depending how much longer you want to
04:08:53 stay but
04:08:55 um and now it came to pass so this is
04:08:58 verse 1 that the persecutions
04:09:01 which were inflicted on the church by
04:09:02 the unbelievers became so great that the
04:09:05 church began to murmur and complained to
04:09:07 their leaders concerning the matter that
04:09:09 they did complain to alma and emma laid
04:09:12 the case before their king mosiah and
04:09:14 mosiah consulted his priest
04:09:17 and it came to pass that mosiah sent a
04:09:19 proclamation throughout the land
04:09:21 about there should be not any unbeliever
04:09:24 persecute any of those who belong to the
04:09:27 church of god
04:09:28 and there was a strict command
04:09:30 throughout all the churches
04:09:33 in this small point all the churches
04:09:35 it’s not the church all the churches
04:09:40 because some people say there’s one
04:09:41 church the book of mormon shows
04:09:43 differently
04:09:44 right all through it
04:09:45 that there should be no persecutions
04:09:48 among them that they should not
04:09:50 be
04:09:51 an equal
04:09:53 that there should be equality among men
04:09:55 so everybody’s equal right
04:09:58 that they should not let pride nor
04:10:00 haughtiness disturb their peace even
04:10:04 that every man should esteem his
04:10:06 neighbor as himself
04:10:08 love your neighbor as yourself
04:10:11 here it’s esteem his neighbor as himself
04:10:14 laboring with their own hands for their
04:10:16 own support
04:10:18 so you know that the the commandment
04:10:21 to love yourself as your neighbor it’s
04:10:23 in the torah
04:10:26 christ didn’t make it up he was
04:10:29 re-teaching he was restoring christ was
04:10:32 a restoration
04:10:33 you’ve you’ve taught
04:10:35 well that it wasn’t anything new
04:10:38 no he was just reminding them
04:10:42 and all their okay we skipped that and
04:10:44 they’re beginning it’s
04:10:45 okay so after look and there should be
04:10:48 no price
04:10:49 and all their priests and teachers
04:10:50 should labor with their own hands and
04:10:52 their support in cases say that sickness
04:10:54 or looking the things they did abounding
04:10:56 in the grace of god not looking to get
04:10:59 paid right just for the grace of god
04:11:02 and there began to be much peace so
04:11:06 teaching
04:11:07 to be nice to everybody and teaching the
04:11:09 commandments right
04:11:12 they’re getting much peace in the land
04:11:14 what brought peace the commandments
04:11:16 and the people began to be very numerous
04:11:19 and began to
04:11:21 scatter around the face of the earth on
04:11:22 the north and on the south on the east
04:11:24 and the west building large cities okay
04:11:26 we’re going to skip some
04:11:28 so there’s
04:11:30 the verse at the end the last verse let
04:11:33 me
04:11:34 look at the earliest texts
04:11:37 real quick
04:11:57 so let’s start with 35.
04:12:01 um
04:12:02 [Music]
04:12:04 and they had traveled through all the
04:12:06 land of zerahema so this is um
04:12:10 emma
04:12:11 after his conversion yeah after his
04:12:14 conversion after he repented
04:12:17 and the sons of mosiah and they had
04:12:19 traveled through all the land of
04:12:21 zerahema
04:12:22 and among all the people which was under
04:12:25 the reign of king mosiah
04:12:28 so they’re traveling right
04:12:30 zealously striving to repair all the
04:12:33 injuries which they had done
04:12:36 to the church
04:12:37 confessing all their sins
04:12:40 and
04:12:41 publishing the things which they had
04:12:43 seen and explaining the prophecies
04:12:46 and the scriptures to all who desired to
04:12:49 hear them
04:12:51 so what did they did they were teaching
04:12:54 the gospel
04:12:56 right
04:12:57 and repenting
04:13:00 and thus they were instruments in the
04:13:02 hand of god and bringing many to the
04:13:04 knowledge of the truth ye to the
04:13:06 knowledge of the redeemer and blessed
04:13:08 are they for they did publish peace
04:13:16 their teaching was publishing peace
04:13:20 they did publish good tidings of good
04:13:22 that they did declare unto the people
04:13:25 that the lord
04:13:26 reigneth
04:13:28 that’s peace
04:13:31 we become peacemakers by publishing
04:13:34 peace
04:13:36 not saying all is well in zion
04:13:39 right
04:13:42 um
04:13:44 that’s important yeah
04:13:47 i mean we can look at other verses it
04:13:49 says in the book of mormon and torah
04:13:51 that say to re prove or help our
04:13:53 brothers follow the commandments
04:13:56 i
04:13:57 if people don’t want to believe that
04:13:58 it’s in the new testament too even with
04:14:01 or without the jst it’s there
04:14:04 that’s publishing peace
04:14:07 now you have to be
04:14:08 loving about it right you can’t just
04:14:11 scream at them and but knowing you you
04:14:13 don’t do that
04:14:16 um
04:14:17 but that’s publishing peace that’s being
04:14:20 a peacemaker
04:14:21 you’re helping someone
04:14:23 come to peace the lord’s peace that’s
04:14:26 how you make peace
04:14:30 it’s not allowing wickedness to continue
04:14:33 because
04:14:34 the more wickedness that is allowed the
04:14:36 more that we’re not going to have peace
04:14:39 i mean you see it today people complain
04:14:41 about all the problems today but they
04:14:42 don’t want to do what’s necessary to get
04:14:44 rid of it
04:14:45 they don’t have peace they just want to
04:14:47 do their iniquity and not have the
04:14:50 consequences
04:14:51 and that’s not peace
04:14:53 wickedness never was
04:14:55 happiness
04:15:00 peace comes from the lord
04:15:02 not from man
04:15:06 so hopefully that helps
04:15:08 it’s not very well prepared but i hope
04:15:10 you at least get the idea from it i
04:15:11 thought it was beautiful
04:15:13 yeah
04:15:16 well that’s something i want to do a
04:15:17 post on but i never have time
04:15:21 so hopefully my post will come out it
04:15:22 would be a good one
04:15:25 yeah well i have a long list of posts
04:15:27 and
04:15:28 i’m working on one right now bree
04:15:31 so yeah not like i’m a slacker i i have
04:15:34 slacked at times i don’t always work on
04:15:36 posts but
04:15:37 i’m trying to be more diligent recently
04:15:43 anyways
04:15:47 yep
04:15:48 do you have any thoughts or questions
04:15:49 i’m certainly told
04:15:51 yeah i’m constantly told that i
04:15:55 am a troublemaker
04:15:57 oh that doesn’t know that i should just
04:15:59 keep my mouth shut i don’t know what i’m
04:16:01 talking about
04:16:02 and
04:16:04 i’m only bringing up
04:16:07 how to have peace and order
04:16:09 in the home
04:16:11 is by turning to his ways
04:16:14 yeah i mean we i don’t know which verse
04:16:16 it is i’ll talk about him but
04:16:19 the argument that someone’s trying to
04:16:21 use against you bri is the same argument
04:16:23 that the priests of noah was using
04:16:26 against abinadi and that’s why
04:16:29 uh abinadi brought this up because they
04:16:31 asked him that question
04:16:34 and then they had the guards try to come
04:16:36 get him and he said no you judged me
04:16:39 until i
04:16:40 finished the message the lord gave me to
04:16:42 get in
04:16:43 and answer your questions they were
04:16:45 saying
04:16:48 yes but they were saying like you’re
04:16:51 trying to disturb
04:16:53 our
04:16:54 comfortable
04:16:55 lifestyle
04:16:58 and we can’t allow you to do that you’re
04:17:01 being troublemaker
04:17:03 yeah
04:17:06 oh yeah so here here’s where they’re
04:17:08 asking them to explain it it’s uh mosiah
04:17:12 12
04:17:14 verse 20 and 21
04:17:18 and it came to pass that one of them one
04:17:20 of the
04:17:22 wicked priests of king noah said unto
04:17:24 him what meaneth the words which are
04:17:26 written
04:17:27 and which have been taught by
04:17:29 our father saying how beautiful upon the
04:17:32 mountains are the feet of him that
04:17:34 bringeth good tidings that publishes
04:17:36 peace that brings good tidings of good
04:17:40 and publishes salvation that says unto
04:17:43 zion thy god reigneth so he they’re
04:17:45 trying to say you’re disturbing our
04:17:48 peace
04:17:49 they’re trying to accuse him of that and
04:17:51 he’s like no and that’s why he got into
04:17:53 15
04:17:54 saying this is what peace publishing
04:17:56 peace is and then mosiah 27 a whole
04:18:00 another incident right because that’s
04:18:02 alma the
04:18:04 youngers um
04:18:08 uh repentance spree i guess you could
04:18:10 say or preaching
04:18:12 and
04:18:12 the bridger mormon says they were
04:18:14 publishing peace and doing that
04:18:18 they’re peacemakers we’ve become
04:18:20 peacemakers by publishing peace
04:18:25 this yeah
04:18:27 this thought of
04:18:29 no judging is from satan
04:18:32 in fact i i have a post i can share with
04:18:36 um
04:18:37 from someone else did
04:18:39 um
04:18:40 [Music]
04:18:42 it’s called the cult of
04:18:45 not judging
04:18:47 [Music]
04:18:49 the cult of do not judge i’ll i’ll give
04:18:52 you this is a good read i read a long
04:18:54 time ago
04:18:56 oh wow
04:18:57 yeah
04:18:58 and it it quotes the scriptures it’s
04:19:01 primarily torah and new testament that
04:19:03 he’s quoting but so it’s nothing new
04:19:06 it’s just no one’s ever liked it
04:19:10 it hasn’t changed
04:19:12 people don’t want to be told that their
04:19:13 way is wrong
04:19:15 they just want to be told what they’re
04:19:16 doing is okay and they want to feel
04:19:17 better about it
04:19:21 but
04:19:23 this people from god will preach his way
04:19:26 because i know that’s where the peace
04:19:27 comes from
04:19:30 not satan’s right
04:19:39 though i’m just um
04:19:41 referencing that
04:19:48 um okay but i put that article the the
04:19:51 cult of do not judge and messenger and
04:19:53 i’ll put it on the in the video comments
04:19:56 it okay
04:19:59 so i
04:20:01 so this is oh
04:20:03 i got this when i was um
04:20:06 still going to church even though i
04:20:07 removed my name
04:20:09 uh in the earliest church
04:20:11 because they’re saying don’t judge don’t
04:20:13 judge right and it’s for some reason
04:20:14 we’re reading alma 41 let me read this
04:20:17 to you
04:20:19 so this is alma the
04:20:21 younger
04:20:22 telling his wicked son
04:20:24 right okay right
04:20:27 uh therefore my son see that you are
04:20:29 merciful unto your brethren deal justly
04:20:33 deal justly judge righteously
04:20:37 [Music]
04:20:38 he’s telling someone wicked
04:20:41 his own wicked son to judge righteously
04:20:44 and to do good continually and if ye do
04:20:47 all these things that you shall
04:20:49 [Music]
04:20:51 shall ye receive your reward
04:20:53 yeah you shall have mercy restored unto
04:20:56 you again
04:20:58 and you shall have justice restored unto
04:21:00 you again now look at that
04:21:02 if you do good you have justice restored
04:21:04 to you
04:21:05 that’s interesting most people think
04:21:07 justice is bad justice is good and bad
04:21:11 it depends on what side of the sword
04:21:13 you’re on
04:21:14 if it’s good or bad
04:21:16 and you shall have righteous judgment
04:21:18 restored unto you again and ye shall
04:21:21 have good reward unto you again
04:21:24 but the big thing
04:21:26 judge righteously he’s telling a wicked
04:21:28 man
04:21:29 to judge righteously and if you do
04:21:32 you’ll have justice restored unto you
04:21:36 we want justice the righteous people
04:21:38 want justice for multiple reasons
04:21:42 it’s a double-edged sword
04:21:44 anyways
04:21:46 and that’s in the book of mormon but you
04:21:48 know what i’ve had a lot of eldest
04:21:49 members tell me you can’t judge i’m like
04:21:52 are you did you just see that they still
04:21:54 argue with it
04:21:56 all the way
04:21:58 through
04:21:59 the scriptures i have seen well even
04:22:03 at the end
04:22:04 we’re told how to
04:22:07 know
04:22:08 what
04:22:10 is good what is evil i mean we just
04:22:13 win
04:22:14 is a big one for me
04:22:16 we were just there
04:22:19 you know
04:22:20 um
04:22:21 a bitter
04:22:22 fruit
04:22:23 and
04:22:24 sweet fruit well
04:22:26 that’s judging
04:22:27 yeah
04:22:28 how can you not know without judging the
04:22:30 whole chapter well maybe not the whole
04:22:32 chapter but a good part of the first
04:22:34 part of the that chapter is about
04:22:36 judging right from wrong
04:22:39 yeah
04:22:40 yes
04:22:42 all through it again and so when someone
04:22:45 says no you’re just supposed to love
04:22:48 free love for everybody
04:22:52 and i’m like
04:22:53 uh i’m sorry but i don’t
04:22:57 see that folks i see that you are to
04:23:00 judge according to god’s standard which
04:23:04 is his commandment
04:23:06 it’s the commandments and the
04:23:08 punishments they’re both there and
04:23:10 people forget yes the law
04:23:13 the law has both
04:23:14 that we have
04:23:16 just gone over
04:23:19 so like jst matthew 7 1 jst joseph smith
04:23:23 translation
04:23:25 now these are the words which jesus
04:23:27 taught his disciples that they should
04:23:29 say unto the people judge not
04:23:32 unrighteously that ye
04:23:34 be not judged but judge righteous
04:23:37 judgment
04:23:37 [Music]
04:23:38 and then go down a couple verses even
04:23:41 five without the jst
04:23:43 thou hypocrites
04:23:45 first
04:23:46 cast out the being out of thine own eye
04:23:48 and then
04:23:50 shalt thou see clearly to cast out the
04:23:53 moa out of thy brother’s eye see look he
04:23:55 just told him
04:23:57 be righteous yourself and then help
04:23:59 others be righteous that’s judgment
04:24:02 yeah you don’t even need the jst
04:24:05 to get that and it’s there people don’t
04:24:08 want to see it
04:24:13 well it’s also in the book of mormon
04:24:16 where he gave the sermon it’s the same
04:24:20 thing
04:24:22 well it’s all over the place i mean
04:24:25 i have a long list of scriptures on that
04:24:26 very i just the jst
04:24:29 is kind of a poignant one because it’s
04:24:31 one that joseph smith restored you can’t
04:24:33 just say that it’s
04:24:37 it’s translated incorrectly or something
04:24:39 like because are you saying you believe
04:24:41 in joseph’s faith and that he did the
04:24:42 jst
04:24:45 i picked poignant ones right
04:24:49 and that’s partly why i quote the book
04:24:51 of mormon a lot to lgs members because
04:24:53 they can’t claim
04:24:55 bad translation
04:24:58 ah
04:24:59 they can’t
04:25:00 what are you gonna do claim the book of
04:25:02 mormon’s wrong
04:25:03 yeah
04:25:05 and that
04:25:07 the lord didn’t get it right
04:25:09 or that joseph smith from his own word
04:25:12 yeah you think
04:25:15 you can’t all they the best that they do
04:25:17 is oh it doesn’t apply anymore that’s
04:25:20 the most that they can do which is wrong
04:25:22 and we both know that
04:25:24 right
04:25:25 and
04:25:26 i was going to point out
04:25:29 um in the same chapter in third knee 5
04:25:32 14
04:25:33 we were talking about the dogs
04:25:36 the children
04:25:37 of men
04:25:39 where it says give not that which is
04:25:41 holy and the dogs oh yeah that’s an
04:25:45 example of what i was saying
04:25:47 yeah
04:25:48 i thought well this is interesting again
04:25:51 we’re coming
04:25:52 like
04:25:56 it’s so cool i think
04:25:58 that we will
04:26:00 say something and we will see
04:26:04 um it somewhere else we’ll just be led
04:26:08 by
04:26:10 just following the spirit
04:26:14 you know
04:26:15 i like studying with you bri i we
04:26:18 seem to connect
04:26:20 i like studying with you
04:26:24 it’s like
04:26:25 yes
04:26:26 this is
04:26:27 the way
04:26:33 when i was
04:26:34 in the church
04:26:36 and i was studying with my sisters
04:26:39 this is exactly
04:26:42 the way it would be
04:26:44 when
04:26:45 you know they would come over to my home
04:26:47 and and we would study together
04:26:50 but because
04:26:53 i don’t follow a man now
04:26:56 you know or go along
04:26:59 with
04:27:01 the rules
04:27:03 i don’t get
04:27:05 that fellowship
04:27:08 uh it’s
04:27:11 uh when i told my grandma
04:27:13 but she already kind of
04:27:15 my aunt already told her because my aunt
04:27:17 has me on facebook and i’m sure she told
04:27:19 my grandma but when i officially told my
04:27:21 grandma about what happened she didn’t
04:27:23 want to talk about it
04:27:25 didn’t want to talk about scriptures in
04:27:27 fact
04:27:29 for the most part my family yeah doesn’t
04:27:31 want to talk to me about scriptures
04:27:33 anymore no yeah
04:27:36 yeah that’s the cost
04:27:39 right even though we still both
04:27:42 claim to believe in the book of mormon
04:27:43 they don’t want to talk about book of
04:27:44 mormon
04:27:46 i know
04:27:47 i know especially
04:27:51 there’s no
04:27:52 commentary needed
04:27:55 uh well it depends how much you know it
04:27:58 because i i mean
04:28:00 part of the reason i can bring out what
04:28:02 i know in different verses because i
04:28:04 know what it says in other places in the
04:28:06 book of mormon or the torah or or the
04:28:09 bible right and so in a sense i’m using
04:28:12 commentary scriptural commentary though
04:28:14 but i’m using commentary in fact what
04:28:17 we’re bringing out and talking brie is
04:28:19 commentary upon the scriptures it’s fine
04:28:21 to
04:28:23 commentary or expand it but we need to
04:28:25 make sure we
04:28:26 stay with the text and not go off right
04:28:29 right absolutely the commentaries i have
04:28:33 seen in books and stuff like that then
04:28:35 it’s their opinion
04:28:37 no
04:28:38 this is not an opinion
04:28:41 this says it right here
04:28:44 and then we can flip to another
04:28:46 teacher
04:28:48 you know and i have asked the lord i
04:28:51 want
04:28:52 to know your teachers
04:28:55 and
04:28:57 um
04:28:58 it’s beautiful
04:28:59 that you know he brought us together
04:29:03 thank you for that brie
04:29:06 i’m not perfect but i try
04:29:10 well it’s
04:29:11 i think the teachers and the priests
04:29:14 were perfect that they left their field
04:29:18 and
04:29:20 they taught
04:29:22 and then
04:29:24 i think there was
04:29:26 a
04:29:27 the people were able to share as well
04:29:31 yeah um
04:29:33 like
04:29:35 we’re doing this together right it’s not
04:29:37 i don’t know
04:29:39 look at that what that i just did on the
04:29:40 the peacemaker i didn’t have anything
04:29:42 yeah pre-planned i’m just i’m aware
04:29:45 what’s enough parson in there like
04:29:48 hopefully i did okay and i didn’t
04:29:49 butcher it
04:29:50 but i i just
04:29:52 i noticed that i have not been
04:29:56 um and so i didn’t connect
04:30:01 oh sure
04:30:03 um
04:30:04 and the sufficient you don’t don’t
04:30:05 forget the sufficient but anyways
04:30:08 um
04:30:09 yes
04:30:12 what uh i
04:30:14 [Music]
04:30:17 our experiences if we i like how joseph
04:30:20 smith and the lecturers in faith bring
04:30:22 out how if we
04:30:24 analyze our self we would know that we
04:30:26 do everything by faith
04:30:28 now the question is if we do faith in
04:30:30 god or faith is something else
04:30:32 yes
04:30:33 but
04:30:34 as we analyze ourselves i think we can
04:30:36 help better understand other people
04:30:39 and i i do analyze myself some
04:30:43 um
04:30:44 and also i think
04:30:47 being awoken to issues
04:30:50 and seeing what other people say
04:30:54 even if i don’t agree it also can help
04:30:56 me find the truth because i’ll start
04:30:58 thinking about it and questioning it and
04:31:00 then i’ll rem
04:31:01 and god will remind me of this or that
04:31:04 verse
04:31:05 that’s what he’s doing for me
04:31:08 and
04:31:08 and
04:31:12 it helps us
04:31:13 to understand
04:31:15 why
04:31:16 what he’s teaching is true and necessary
04:31:19 to see the other examples that are out
04:31:22 there
04:31:23 it helps
04:31:24 give us the context yeah right because
04:31:32 babies are pure right
04:31:35 but they don’t know anything no you’re
04:31:36 breaking up oh
04:31:39 like your grandchildren you’re you’re 20
04:31:42 month old right
04:31:45 she’s just just a sweet little thing she
04:31:47 doesn’t know right from wrong she’s just
04:31:49 you’re breaking yeah
04:31:52 lovely internet
04:31:55 little children
04:31:57 they they don’t understand
04:32:00 things
04:32:01 they’re
04:32:02 uh am i breaking up or i
04:32:05 didn’t get any of that
04:32:08 um oh yeah i didn’t get any of that
04:32:14 so
04:32:14 um can you hear me now
04:32:18 yes well that’s because i have a tnt now
04:32:24 isn’t that or was it 18 t with that
04:32:26 commercial can you hear me now yeah
04:32:28 that’s verizon oh that’s for right
04:32:31 i forgot
04:32:33 it’s verizon
04:32:35 you need to get verizon i don’t know
04:32:38 verizon appreciates that
04:32:41 you get it right
04:32:44 i’ll get sued now because i gave it to
04:32:46 the wrong company um
04:32:49 but yeah right
04:32:54 children
04:32:55 in their innocence they don’t understand
04:32:58 why
04:32:59 a lot of the things that we as parents
04:33:01 teach them
04:33:03 because they don’t have the experience
04:33:05 it’s the same way with us
04:33:07 i i mean i’ve read these scriptures
04:33:09 i was a believer i i would say i’m more
04:33:12 of a believer now but growing up i grew
04:33:14 up in the earliest church
04:33:16 yeah
04:33:17 i believe the scriptures but you know
04:33:19 what they
04:33:20 compared to where i am now they didn’t
04:33:22 make sense to me i mean i tried to make
04:33:24 sense of it
04:33:26 but looking back they didn’t i think
04:33:29 they make sense to me now
04:33:32 but i think part of it is because of the
04:33:33 experience that i’ve seen
04:33:37 and reflecting back on
04:33:39 on everything
04:33:40 it helps me see why
04:33:42 these things matter
04:33:44 and so when i’m reading the scriptures i
04:33:46 can get more out of it because of the
04:33:48 experiences that i’ve had
04:33:50 good or bad
04:33:51 right
04:33:54 [Music]
04:33:56 we’re in the doctrine covenants joseph
04:33:58 smith was told all experiences
04:34:02 will be for you
04:34:04 yeah um i think that was when he was in
04:34:06 liberty jail
04:34:08 ironic of the name right
04:34:11 they were trying to take away his
04:34:12 liberty but anyways yeah right
04:34:16 right um
04:34:16 [Music]
04:34:18 there i although i don’t like the book i
04:34:21 do like the title a rough stone rolling
04:34:24 right
04:34:25 that actually came from a quote from
04:34:26 joseph smith
04:34:28 right he felt like a rough stone rolling
04:34:31 because he was getting polished with
04:34:33 everything that was going on
04:34:34 yeah
04:34:37 he did a lot of learning in a short
04:34:39 period of time
04:34:41 [Music]
04:34:44 but i don’t like the book the book makes
04:34:46 them out to be something completely
04:34:48 different than what
04:34:50 i i don’t like the book with the title
04:34:52 though by
04:34:54 was it i forget his first name first
04:34:56 name yes bushman richard butchman he
04:34:58 didn’t get to live very wrong
04:35:01 no but i i was saying i don’t like the
04:35:04 the book with that title by richard
04:35:06 bushman
04:35:08 because he makes joseph smith out to be
04:35:10 something completely different than what
04:35:11 he was
04:35:13 i haven’t read the whole thing i’ve read
04:35:14 parts and i’ve heard what other people
04:35:16 say about what’s in there and that’s
04:35:18 that’s just not joseph smith
04:35:20 in fact i don’t know if you know this
04:35:21 but richard bushman
04:35:24 came out
04:35:26 maybe four or five years ago and said
04:35:28 that the narrative that the eldest
04:35:29 church
04:35:30 pushes is wrong
04:35:32 and it needs to be changed
04:35:36 uh you’re
04:35:38 i don’t know if you heard that last
04:35:40 thing i said brie about how bushman came
04:35:42 out saying that the lds narrative is
04:35:44 wrong
04:35:50 uh i’ll pause you gotta visit here
