Summary:

Talk about body language of prayer some. Torah and Law of Moses are different. Law of Moses points to Yeshua’s / Jesus’ atonement. Sin, transgretion, iniquity are the same thing. Yeshua / Jesus could break the bands of death because He never sinned and did not deserve death. 2 Nephi (LDS 2:22) (RLDS 1:111-112) defeats evolution. Alma (LDS 12:28-37) (RLDS 9:47-61) shows us that Adam kept Torah. A CARNAL commandment, Law of Moses, was added for a period of time. The Law of Moses is primarily the daily killing of the two lambs by the Aaronic priests. The types of sacrafices in the law of Moses shows there are three types of days that never overlap. Jacob 5 is prophecy and shows the Mighty and Strong One will teach Torah. There is not 613 laws, thats a false tradition of the Rabbis. The additional laws are helping us understand the 10 commandments. Alma (LDS 37:1-20) (RLDS 17:31-51) is a prophecy of the Brass Plates which teaches Torah will bring people to repentance. Malachi 4, D&C (LDS 2), 3 Nephi (LDS 25) (RLD 11:22-27) teaches we need to return to Torah before the Second Coming or be burned. We are to use the scriptures to help know how to keep YHWH’s law / Torah. Talked about gleaning on the Sabbath.

00:00:02 Okay so
00:00:04 first thing I want to do today is give
00:00:08 Sue an apology
00:00:11 I spoke over her
00:00:13 during the recording that I shouldn’t
00:00:16 have and I’m sorry Sue now I have told
00:00:19 her
00:00:20 personally on Facebook Messenger but
00:00:23 since the event happened publicly
00:00:25 I should also give an apology publicly
00:00:28 so here is my public one I am sorry Sue
00:00:32 it is a bad habit of mine and I will try
00:00:36 much harder not to speak over you to let
00:00:38 you say what you want to say and then
00:00:40 responding and I am sorry it’s a
00:00:44 it’s a bad habit but that’s still no
00:00:46 excuse I shouldn’t have done it and I’m
00:00:47 sorry
00:00:49 um so anyways
00:00:51 I don’t know what else to say sorry yeah
00:00:54 um that pretty much covers it though I’m
00:00:56 sorry
00:00:58 um and I hope you come back
00:01:01 um so I did enjoy have you coming
00:01:05 um but yeah anyways Okay so
00:01:09 and the next thing
00:01:11 um bit and I think would be what I used
00:01:13 to do is talk about
00:01:15 a tour issue because there is
00:01:21 um more controversial brewing and
00:01:24 getting hotter so
00:01:27 um I to start off I want to share
00:01:29 something that I shared last week when
00:01:31 we weren’t recording
00:01:33 um regarding regarding the Torah
00:01:36 and Adam so I actually
00:01:39 I want to share it from the earliest
00:01:43 text Book of Mormon earliest text that’s
00:01:46 my favorite edition if I can
00:01:50 always have a hard time with
00:01:53 this Zoom stuff anyways so
00:01:58 um
00:02:01 so I
00:02:02 I always say occasionally Alma 12
00:02:06 shows us that Emma Alma kept Torah but
00:02:11 we’ve never I’ve never shown it so we’re
00:02:13 going to show it today as the starting
00:02:15 point okay of this little
00:02:18 discussion
00:02:19 Alma chapter 12. yeah I
00:02:23 I wish they had the chapters on the side
00:02:25 so I get there faster that’s one thing I
00:02:27 don’t like about the Kindle edition
00:02:30 anyways
00:02:32 um if you do like the earliest text the
00:02:35 gospel Plus
00:02:38 um Library
00:02:40 from I think it’s from Book of Mormon
00:02:42 Central actually has the earliest decks
00:02:45 earliest oh well text in it
00:02:48 um so you can get it there also
00:02:51 um there’s also
00:02:53 um just a Sidetrack a little bit so
00:02:55 people can see it
00:02:57 um
00:03:00 I I think you should go buy it but
00:03:03 if you don’t for some reason
00:03:06 here is a link to it the only
00:03:09 disadvantage I see to it is it’s it’s
00:03:12 kind of a log it’s hard to Lug around oh
00:03:17 whoa
00:03:18 um well that’s yeah that’s pretty big
00:03:20 they they made a soft cover Edition
00:03:23 recently but I still think it’s going to
00:03:25 be big like this just slightly smaller
00:03:28 because of the hardcover versus the soft
00:03:30 cover but
00:03:31 I anyways it’s the addition I prefer
00:03:36 um and I have gone to church with it
00:03:37 also and I’ve gotten some funny looks
00:03:40 too oh I bet you did yeah
00:03:44 anyways on on funny looks one the one
00:03:49 word I went to the last word I went to
00:03:51 actually they called me to say the
00:03:54 prayer in Sunday school and I prayed the
00:03:56 way that Joseph Smith taught us to pray
00:04:02 Your Hands Extended to the heavens yeah
00:04:05 no and they yeah I bet you got some real
00:04:08 weird looks they didn’t ask me to Pray
00:04:10 Again
00:04:12 well no because why why would they ask
00:04:16 you to pray you were opening yourself up
00:04:18 everyone knows that you shut yourself
00:04:20 down when you pray yeah uh yeah okay so
00:04:24 since Josh wants to talk about this
00:04:26 another squirrel we’ll go on that
00:04:28 squirrel a little bit
00:04:30 um yeah yeah okay so I like body
00:04:32 language
00:04:34 um
00:04:35 hmm
00:04:36 sadly I’ve had
00:04:39 Liars in my life okay that I did believe
00:04:42 and I’ll be honest
00:04:44 Ex-Wives I said plural
00:04:48 um
00:04:52 and so
00:04:54 one thing I I kind of went summoned you
00:04:57 I didn’t go real deep into to help me
00:05:01 not get to get deceived again was
00:05:04 studying some into body language now
00:05:06 okay
00:05:12 this is closed not wanting to receive
00:05:15 anything or gain anything right you’re
00:05:19 closing yourself up
00:05:21 this is opening yourself up to receive
00:05:25 right if you’re praying for an answer
00:05:28 are you going to close yourself up so
00:05:30 you’re not going to hear
00:05:32 what you’re getting or receive it or are
00:05:35 you going to open yourself up to receive
00:05:40 no body language says a lot in fact
00:05:43 a lot of the imagery in the scriptures
00:05:46 goes off of body language but we have
00:05:48 forgotten that
00:05:49 in today’s world
00:05:51 we can get more into it but I’d rather
00:05:54 not today
00:05:56 um right
00:05:58 um but just on the prayer Point are you
00:06:01 closing yourself up during prayer
00:06:04 or you open yourself up for prayer
00:06:08 um and on
00:06:10 person interesting subject I mean in The
00:06:13 Book of Mormon there is a verse
00:06:16 that I know of that it says that we are
00:06:19 you can castrate yourself and now that’s
00:06:22 not dealing with manhood
00:06:25 um right right
00:06:29 laying down on the ground with your face
00:06:31 in the dust
00:06:34 that’s you can pray like that if you
00:06:36 want I I have a couple times it’s not my
00:06:40 preferred mode of prayer but it is in
00:06:43 the Book of Mormon okay yeah there’s
00:06:46 multiple ways to prayer so I’m not
00:06:47 trying to say there’s only one way
00:06:49 but I do think
00:06:52 um you need to be careful with your
00:06:53 default mode of prayer but whatever that
00:06:57 is I think this is bad and this is good
00:07:01 but anyways
00:07:03 um
00:07:04 not that sidetracked
00:07:07 um okay so
00:07:09 um just looking at with the sense lines
00:07:12 and the breaks that skousen has I think
00:07:15 we’ll start with verse 28. the verse I
00:07:19 actually want is the last verse and
00:07:22 the chapter verse 37 but these other
00:07:25 verses will help
00:07:27 um give insights to what’s going on
00:07:29 and so I’m going to say that we start
00:07:31 with verse 28 but before we do that
00:07:35 I want to make sure it’s clear that we
00:07:37 all know
00:07:40 that no matter what people think about
00:07:42 Tor today
00:07:45 they kept it when this was going on
00:07:48 I don’t think there’s any controversy on
00:07:51 that I I think the only possible
00:07:53 controversy is what Torah is
00:07:57 and possibly and one that I even teach
00:08:01 that Torah and law of Moses are
00:08:04 different okay I know that can be
00:08:06 controversial but
00:08:07 no matter what you think on those
00:08:09 subjects okay I don’t think there’s any
00:08:12 real debate real debate
00:08:16 that Torah was kept at this time okay
00:08:20 right right as to which Commandments
00:08:23 were being kept sure I I’m
00:08:27 just I’m just trying to relate it to the
00:08:29 language for sure
00:08:31 um I I would say
00:08:35 where some people will teach us Torah I
00:08:37 will disagree and I can bring it up from
00:08:40 scriptures including the Book of Mormon
00:08:41 but
00:08:42 that’s another discussion right
00:08:46 um whatever you think it is
00:08:49 I don’t think there really should
00:08:50 there’s no real argument that they
00:08:52 didn’t keep Tor and the law of Moses at
00:08:55 this point
00:08:56 um this is before the resurrection
00:08:59 um right in fact this is before the
00:09:01 death because uh
00:09:05 I’m going off rough memory here but I
00:09:07 think it’s in third Nephi
00:09:11 one would be my educated guess or
00:09:13 thereabouts or Nephi one where they have
00:09:16 a bunch of people who decide that
00:09:18 they’re going to stop practicing the law
00:09:21 of Moses and then they were taught that
00:09:23 they needed to wait and then they right
00:09:27 were convinced and they waited and
00:09:30 believed that they needed to wait to to
00:09:33 stop keeping the lawn mouses
00:09:35 it was at the cross that it was stopped
00:09:38 which in Paul’s terms
00:09:41 the law
00:09:43 of Moses was nailed to the cross because
00:09:46 that is what was nailed to the cross and
00:09:48 that’s what it ended
00:09:52 the law of Moses points to Yeshua
00:09:56 first coming and sacrifice specifically
00:10:00 the sacrifice
00:10:02 um
00:10:03 and that’s what was ended not door but
00:10:05 anyways okay enough of that little
00:10:07 Sidetrack okay
00:10:09 um
00:10:09 the main point is whatever you think it
00:10:12 is and whatever included they kept Torah
00:10:16 okay
00:10:18 um you want to read
00:10:20 um Ben and I can introduct sometimes if
00:10:22 that’s okay
00:10:24 and after God had appointed that these
00:10:26 things should come on command behold he
00:10:28 saw that it was expedient that man
00:10:30 should know concerning things where he
00:10:32 had appointed unto them so therefore he
00:10:34 said so sorry these are the Commandments
00:10:37 it’s talking about and we could go up
00:10:39 yeah more but okay
00:10:42 therefore know if we should need to read
00:10:44 the whole chapter and I think going up
00:10:47 to 28 is good enough for the context
00:10:49 yeah I think so I think 28’s just fine
00:10:52 okay
00:10:53 therefore he sent angels to converse
00:10:56 with them which caused men to behold of
00:10:58 his glory okay so stop so in the
00:11:01 scriptures we’re told that we also
00:11:06 can gain Glory by keeping his
00:11:08 Commandments
00:11:09 which is actually why Yeshua has glory
00:11:12 is because he kept his Commandments
00:11:17 and when you keep it you are thus like
00:11:19 him and then you can withstand
00:11:23 or enjoy being with him instead of
00:11:28 hating it like those the laws being
00:11:31 afraid of it or being afraid of it or
00:11:34 being afraid of it
00:11:36 um were the Lawless ones as talked about
00:11:38 in Helaman uh I forget the chapter I
00:11:43 could find it but
00:11:45 um were they it stated that the Lawless
00:11:48 ones would want to hide under a rock
00:11:51 instead of
00:11:53 being in his presence which is
00:11:55 interesting
00:11:57 because that’s stoning and they’ll get
00:11:59 what they want they’ll get stoned
00:12:01 they’ll be put under a rock
00:12:04 yes
00:12:06 yes and they began from and they began
00:12:09 from that time for us to call on his
00:12:11 name therefore god conversed with men
00:12:13 and made known unto them the Plan of
00:12:15 Redemption which have been prepared from
00:12:17 the foundation of the world and this he
00:12:19 made known unto them according to their
00:12:21 faith and repentance and their holy
00:12:24 works okay so
00:12:27 um maybe
00:12:30 context here oh Kindle being funny
00:12:34 um is talking about Adam and he and Eve
00:12:37 right here I mean we can just go look at
00:12:39 it and they went particular the tree
00:12:40 life yeah okay I got you so we’re fading
00:12:45 okay I got you okay okay so this is
00:12:47 obviously without mine without going
00:12:49 look at the rest unless
00:12:51 um you want us to it’s talking about
00:12:53 Adam and Eve okay yeah yeah this this
00:12:56 first section is talking about
00:12:58 yeah wherefore
00:13:01 yeah
00:13:02 wherefore he gave Commandments unto men
00:13:05 they having first transgressed the first
00:13:07 Commandments What are the first
00:13:09 Commandments don’t partake of the fruit
00:13:11 of the tree of knowledge of good
00:13:13 knowledge of Good and Evil now I will
00:13:16 say here I wonder if there’s more than
00:13:19 just that but that is one that we know
00:13:22 of okay and that’s the one yeah I mean
00:13:24 that’s that’s the one that’s that’s the
00:13:26 one that’s in the book right right
00:13:28 that’s one in this book and it’s the one
00:13:29 that’s important that it was actually
00:13:30 broken right
00:13:33 okay so the transgress the first
00:13:36 Commandments as the things which were
00:13:38 temporal oh so one thing transgressed
00:13:40 transgress actually means send
00:13:43 um and I think
00:13:46 that might be important to go over there
00:13:49 is another there’s a there’s a video
00:13:51 making circulations right now where in
00:13:54 the we’re in the maker of the video
00:13:57 separates and delineates between
00:13:59 transgression uh iniquity and sin uh
00:14:05 it is best to think of all these things
00:14:08 as one
00:14:10 yeah it is all one
00:14:12 um and yeah
00:14:14 either you’re either you’re either
00:14:17 keeping the law or you’re
00:14:19 transgressing or breaking the law or
00:14:23 sinning missing the Mark
00:14:25 um well okay but but it’s all it all
00:14:29 falls under the same heading either you
00:14:31 are or you are not
00:14:33 completely agree completely agree
00:14:37 um I’m just trying to address things as
00:14:39 we’re reading to the verses what people
00:14:40 say on it um in fact I think the most
00:14:43 the simplest and direct one is First
00:14:46 John 3 4 wherefore who committeth sin
00:14:50 transgressive
00:14:55 or Torah for sin is the transgression of
00:14:59 the law so I I mean that one’s pretty
00:15:02 clear right that makes it
00:15:05 that’s that’s bringing it down
00:15:09 if you’re if you’re still gonna argue
00:15:10 after something that’s that clear
00:15:14 and this is after the resurrection folks
00:15:17 so this is not this is not old gospel
00:15:22 this is the new one well which is
00:15:24 renewed but this is the renewed gospel
00:15:27 Russo committed sin transgressive also
00:15:31 the law
00:15:32 her sin is a transgression of the law
00:15:35 right so I I it was we can look at a
00:15:38 couple of these I’m just going to do
00:15:39 this one because it’s just it’s just the
00:15:41 one above this one
00:15:43 um
00:15:44 I’m on 37 and now this isn’t Alma the
00:15:47 younger speaking to one of his sons in
00:15:50 fact um this is a important chapter for
00:15:52 me who had issues with transgression yes
00:15:55 uh no actually this one’s The Record
00:15:57 Keeper
00:15:58 um yeah this is Yellowman
00:16:11 and we’ll talk more about this chapter
00:16:13 later tonight but um let’s just look at
00:16:16 this one verse and now behold I tell you
00:16:19 the spirit of Prophecy that if you
00:16:22 transgress okay
00:16:24 the Commandments of Elohim behold these
00:16:26 things which are sacred which shall be
00:16:29 taken away from you by the power of
00:16:30 Elohim so he’s saying that if you
00:16:33 transgress
00:16:34 AKA sin Commandments of God he’ll take
00:16:38 the sacred plates away from me which
00:16:40 includes
00:16:42 the gold plates the brass plates the
00:16:44 hona the sword of Laban or ones
00:16:47 everything off the land yeah all that
00:16:49 all that stuff I mean stuff’s a bad word
00:16:51 but you get the point
00:16:53 and you shall be delivered unto Satan
00:16:56 Okay so
00:16:58 what causes us to be delivered unto
00:17:00 Satan
00:17:02 transgression or the word that’s more
00:17:04 generally used is sin
00:17:07 yes right
00:17:09 so modern the more modern word that gets
00:17:14 used is sin right it’s the same thing
00:17:16 though because like transgression
00:17:18 delivery delivers you up to Satan and so
00:17:21 does sin so are they different
00:17:23 no nope no they’re not they’re just a
00:17:27 different word for the same thing and
00:17:29 English has the same stuff that we use
00:17:32 when we’re talking different people have
00:17:35 preferred
00:17:36 words for certain concepts for whatever
00:17:40 reason right their preferences
00:17:43 that doesn’t mean they’re teaching
00:17:45 something different
00:17:46 does it have a preferred way of saying
00:17:48 it in fact there’s been word studies in
00:17:51 the Book of Mormon just to Sidetrack a
00:17:52 little bit that the different prophets
00:17:55 in the Book of Mormon have different
00:17:56 preferences of teaching the exact exact
00:17:59 same concept
00:18:01 right and they pretty much stick with
00:18:03 those preferences that’d be pretty hard
00:18:05 for someone to do if it’s completely
00:18:07 made up
00:18:09 to keep all that unless of course
00:18:11 unless of course they were schizophrenic
00:18:14 yeah okay anyways
00:18:19 no I’m just saying that if you if you
00:18:22 have say you have multiple first
00:18:25 person yeah but they couldn’t do this
00:18:27 record in three months no you’re right
00:18:29 you’re right
00:18:30 long term yeah I I agree with that
00:18:33 statement but short term and the amount
00:18:35 that it was translated as quickly as it
00:18:37 was done no that couldn’t have happened
00:18:39 because when you go and read the account
00:18:41 of Mormon
00:18:43 um abridging the plates that was a
00:18:45 lifetime
00:18:46 yeah right yeah and I’ll tell you it’s
00:18:50 going to take me a lifetime to
00:18:51 understand this whole record
00:18:54 I really will
00:18:55 and it took a lifetime
00:18:58 plus because the there’s three
00:19:01 major contributors to this right Nephi
00:19:04 one lifetime Mormon second lifetime
00:19:09 Moroni third lifetime
00:19:11 yep
00:19:13 primary authors class abridgers right
00:19:17 very lifetimes
00:19:19 that’s pretty crazy that’s an entire
00:19:22 lifetime yeah and three and then Joseph
00:19:24 Smith and then Joseph Smith brings it
00:19:26 all out in three months yeah right and
00:19:29 three has to do with Redemption but
00:19:31 anyways I’m gonna yeah I don’t want to
00:19:33 Sidetrack too much that’s that’s another
00:19:34 squirrel we can talk about that another
00:19:36 time yeah
00:19:38 and he shall shift you as chaff before
00:19:40 the win every win of Doctrine but if you
00:19:44 keep the Commandments of Elohim which is
00:19:47 the opposite of transgression right here
00:19:50 you’re doing the contrast here one or
00:19:52 the other
00:19:53 great Commandments or you transgress AKA
00:19:56 sin and do these things which are
00:20:01 do these things which are sacred
00:20:03 According to which Yahweh hath commanded
00:20:06 unto you for you must appeal unto Yahweh
00:20:08 for all things whatsoever you shall do
00:20:11 with them these sacred items behold no
00:20:15 power of Earth or hell can take them
00:20:18 from you for Elohim is powerful to the
00:20:22 fulfilling of his words
00:20:24 like first Nephi 3 7 right
00:20:28 which
00:20:30 we all claim to believe except when it’s
00:20:33 inconvenient for beliefs that we have
00:20:35 right or my own situation that we’re in
00:20:39 right right
00:20:41 well certainly it doesn’t it doesn’t
00:20:43 apply to this situation because this is
00:20:45 this is completely different
00:20:47 besides I want to keep my I want to keep
00:20:50 my favorite sins
00:20:51 yeah so we’ll just call them
00:20:53 transgressions and then I don’t have to
00:20:54 get them off
00:20:55 yeah so in your transgressions
00:20:59 will bind you to Satan so whether what
00:21:03 word they will deliver you and then
00:21:06 Satan will bind you to him
00:21:08 yeah whatever words you want to call it
00:21:11 it’s the same effect Satan
00:21:15 yes and we can do it effectively he will
00:21:18 become your God yeah that’s probably
00:21:21 enough of that Sidetrack unless you guys
00:21:23 want more yeah we’ll just uh let us move
00:21:26 let’s go back to the original text okay
00:21:29 all right so let’s do that
00:21:32 I think
00:21:34 because this is actually one of my this
00:21:36 is actually one of my one of the
00:21:38 favorite one of my favorite things these
00:21:40 days is actually to go through this
00:21:44 well I’m glad you liked it
00:21:47 yeah it
00:21:50 it’s Ox actually after it’s pointed out
00:21:53 to you like why didn’t see it before
00:21:55 right it’s yeah it’s just right it’s
00:21:59 just right there yeah so here we are uh
00:22:03 we’ve just finished verse 30 starting on
00:22:05 the verse 31. okay
00:22:08 wherefore he gave Commandments onto men
00:22:10 they having just he I do want to point
00:22:13 out is Elohim and so yes hello I I
00:22:16 published this I would make that a
00:22:17 capital H but anyways wherefore Elohim
00:22:21 gave Commandments unto men they having
00:22:23 first transgressed the first
00:22:26 Commandments as the things which are
00:22:28 temporal and becoming as Gods knowing
00:22:32 good from Evil placing themselves in a
00:22:34 state to act or being placed in a state
00:22:37 to act according to their wills and
00:22:39 Pleasures whether to do evil or to do
00:22:41 good so I would make that lower case G
00:22:45 personally
00:22:46 um but I mean I I didn’t do this text
00:22:49 but I do prefer this over other ones
00:22:52 but yeah the reason why
00:22:55 is because they
00:22:57 they started having intimate
00:22:59 relationship with Good and Evil
00:23:04 and Yahweh Yeshua had a very intimate
00:23:08 relationship with Good and Evil
00:23:11 yeah
00:23:12 and so then right and so so from that so
00:23:16 from that perspective they become as
00:23:19 they become like God
00:23:22 on that on that level
00:23:26 um because there now are mixed in to
00:23:30 Good and Evil because they’re trying to
00:23:33 figure out on their own and so they’re
00:23:36 stuck in this mess that they made and so
00:23:39 they have this intimate knowledge of
00:23:41 Good and Evil because of them the thing
00:23:45 about the fruit
00:23:47 in the Garden of Eden the fruit is
00:23:50 actually symbolic
00:23:52 symbolic of forbidden knowledge
00:23:55 well it depends which tree
00:23:58 yeah
00:24:00 the tree of the knowledge of Good and
00:24:02 Evil is the tree of forbidden knowledge
00:24:04 correct
00:24:06 and that’s what that’s what they ate of
00:24:10 is the tree of the the tree of forbidden
00:24:13 knowledge
00:24:14 and so they are now introduced into this
00:24:17 place where they are now acquainted with
00:24:19 good and evil right and that’s what we
00:24:23 see in the world today because of Adam
00:24:25 and Eve did
00:24:27 not Elohim what Elohim created was
00:24:29 perfect
00:24:32 and I would also say that goes according
00:24:35 to with how lectures on faith seven uses
00:24:38 that word
00:24:39 in that it’s keeping Torah
00:24:43 unless there’s lectures on phase seven
00:24:45 and we can look at that later
00:24:48 um absolutely but okay it’s Wednesday so
00:24:51 now and now is when it caused all this
00:24:54 mess yes so now we’ve been through 31.
00:24:59 let’s head on to 32 here
00:25:03 therefore God gave on to them
00:25:05 Commandments after having made known
00:25:07 onto them the Plan of Redemption that
00:25:10 they should not do evil no although it’s
00:25:13 not listed here this is the second
00:25:17 set of Commandments that he gave right
00:25:20 yeah and you’re and yes and uh the first
00:25:24 they broke and so they gave them another
00:25:26 set
00:25:29 because they broke the first right so he
00:25:31 gave him another set right and breaking
00:25:33 and breaking the first they
00:25:36 forged that intimate relationship with
00:25:39 Good and Evil
00:25:42 and so he gave them new Commandments
00:25:46 to help navigate that they should do
00:25:48 that they should not do evil correct to
00:25:51 help them navigate to help them navigate
00:25:54 away from black squares right yes yeah
00:26:00 evil
00:26:03 yes yes
00:26:05 and the penalty there uh the penalty
00:26:07 thereof the penalty for breaking these
00:26:09 second commandments being a second death
00:26:11 no which wasn’t I I think we need to
00:26:14 clarify because
00:26:16 um the first death is the physical death
00:26:19 the second death is the spiritual death
00:26:22 which happens when you sin right because
00:26:26 the spiritual death is separation
00:26:28 between us and Yahweh Elohim or Yeshua
00:26:32 or Jesus which clarifies it in the next
00:26:35 line actually which was an everlasting
00:26:37 death as the things pertaining unto
00:26:39 righteousness sin that that just
00:26:41 clarified what you were trying to say
00:26:43 right there in the very next line yeah
00:26:45 and who’s the ultimate righteousness
00:26:47 it’s Yahweh Elohim who is yahshua right
00:26:52 it separates us from him when we sin
00:26:56 for on such The Plan of Redemption could
00:26:59 have no power for the works of Justice
00:27:02 could not be destroyed
00:27:06 according to the Supreme goodness of God
00:27:09 so Yahweh I’m going to I’m going to
00:27:11 cross-reference second Nephi chapter two
00:27:14 okay so we’re gonna go there I’m gonna
00:27:16 use the gospel app because that’s
00:27:18 quicker
00:27:25 unless you really what did you say
00:27:26 second Nephi second Nephi chapter two
00:27:29 yeah this is a great oh yeah yeah yeah
00:27:32 yeah so which first do you want that
00:27:34 let’s see um
00:27:37 let’s see
00:27:40 I think is it 12. okay we’ll start in
00:27:44 verse five here
00:27:46 and men are instructed sufficiently that
00:27:48 they know good from Evil and the law is
00:27:50 given unto men
00:27:51 see here we are the second commandments
00:27:54 the law is given unto men and by the law
00:27:57 no flesh is Justified for by the law men
00:27:59 are cut off yet by the temporal law they
00:28:01 were cut off and also for the spiritual
00:28:03 law they perished from that which is
00:28:04 good and become miserable forever
00:28:06 wherefore Redemption cometh in and
00:28:08 through the holy Messiah for he is full
00:28:10 of grace and truth behold he offereth
00:28:12 himself a sacrifice for sin to answer
00:28:15 the ends of the law unto all those who
00:28:17 have a broken heart and contrite spirit
00:28:19 and unto none else can the ends of the
00:28:21 law be answered the broken heart
00:28:23 contrite spirit is the heart trained to
00:28:25 obedience that recognizes its need for a
00:28:28 savior or the heart trained to obedience
00:28:30 or in other words the heart upon whom
00:28:33 yahweh’s law is written correct and I’ll
00:28:37 also say
00:28:39 um for those who want to use their Nephi
00:28:42 nine
00:28:44 um so this was a requirement during
00:28:46 Nephi’s time which Nephi was required to
00:28:50 keep Torah and law on Moses there’s no
00:28:52 debate about that and here it is
00:28:54 bringing how they had to have a broken
00:28:56 heart and contrite spirit it’s nothing
00:28:58 new
00:28:59 that’s where formally in the Torah to
00:29:03 have a college spirit and broken heart
00:29:06 it’s an absolutely absolutely and you
00:29:09 can find it in the Psalms you can find
00:29:10 it throughout yeah I loved Torah and
00:29:15 said it was perfect and eternal
00:29:18 yeah wherefore how great the importance
00:29:21 to make these things known to the
00:29:22 inhabitants of the earth they may know
00:29:24 that there is no flesh that can dwell in
00:29:26 the presence of God save it be through
00:29:28 the merits mercy and Grace of the Holy
00:29:30 Messiah who layeth down his life
00:29:31 according to the Flesh and taketh It
00:29:33 Again by the power of the spirit that he
00:29:35 may bring to pass the resurrection of
00:29:37 the Dead being the first that should
00:29:38 rise okay skipping down a little bit if
00:29:41 I’m just going to say a little bit
00:29:43 um first fruits but
00:29:45 um there’s a lot to say in there but I I
00:29:47 don’t I’m not sure where Ben wants to
00:29:49 take this so I won’t Sidetrack too much
00:29:50 yeah wherefore he is the first fruits on
00:29:52 God and so much
00:29:56 that believe in him shall be saved so
00:29:59 um okay so here we are
00:30:03 oh yeah well actually we’re we can keep
00:30:06 going and because of the intercession
00:30:07 for all all men come unto God wherefore
00:30:10 they stand in the presence of him to be
00:30:12 judged of him according to the truth and
00:30:14 Holiness which is in him wherefore the
00:30:17 ends of the law which the Holy One have
00:30:19 given unto the inflicting of the
00:30:20 punishment which is affixed Rich
00:30:22 punishment that is affixed is an
00:30:24 opposition to that of the happiness
00:30:26 which is affixed to answer the ends of
00:30:28 the atonement
00:30:31 okay let’s uh
00:30:33 okay uh let’s uh for it must needs be
00:30:37 that there is nothing I just won’t say
00:30:39 real quick uh one definition of end is
00:30:42 purpose and yes that helps make that
00:30:46 first right more understandable okay and
00:30:49 it also makes unto none other can the
00:30:52 ends of Allah be answered
00:30:54 also make more sense
00:30:58 right right the purpose of the law is
00:31:00 answered to those who have broken heart
00:31:02 in the contrite spirit
00:31:05 we uh had up here earlier
00:31:08 um
00:31:09 uh there it is right there yep
00:31:13 or it must needs be that there is an
00:31:15 opposition in all things if not so my
00:31:18 firstborn in the wilderness
00:31:19 righteousness could not be brought to
00:31:20 pass neither wickedness neither Holiness
00:31:23 nor misery neither good nor bad
00:31:26 wherefore all things must need to be a
00:31:28 compound in one wherefore it should be a
00:31:30 one body it must be its remain as dead
00:31:33 having no life neither death nor
00:31:35 corruption nor incorruption happiness or
00:31:37 misery neither sense nor in sensibility
00:31:40 okay so I think one thing to bring out
00:31:42 here
00:31:43 um
00:31:44 if it was one body meaning righteousness
00:31:47 and wickedness was the same thing
00:31:51 [Music]
00:31:52 everything would be dead
00:31:54 yep that’s what it’s saying and that
00:31:57 there wouldn’t be corruption AKA
00:32:01 um
00:32:03 so this gets in into where one example
00:32:06 where the 1828 dictionary helps if it
00:32:09 has to do with the physical body
00:32:11 because
00:32:12 without the law that without the law you
00:32:14 can’t tell when people are being corrupt
00:32:18 um well that’s not what the physical
00:32:20 body I do agree with your state stating
00:32:22 but I think that corruption actually
00:32:25 deals with the physical body the decay
00:32:29 of the physical body yeah right because
00:32:31 if there was no law
00:32:33 uh there would be no physical death
00:32:36 because
00:32:38 yeah
00:32:40 sin
00:32:43 it has a way you could not be death it
00:32:46 is sin that causes death
00:32:48 yeah right the reason right which is why
00:32:52 until
00:32:54 Adam and Eve transgressed the law
00:32:58 the first law
00:33:00 there was no death they lived in a
00:33:03 sinless state correct right
00:33:06 um because the wages of sin is death
00:33:09 that’s right the reason why Yeshua could
00:33:12 break death is because he did not
00:33:14 deserve it because he never sinned so he
00:33:18 could break the bands of death because
00:33:19 he himself did not because he could
00:33:22 yeah wherefore
00:33:24 wherefore must needs have been created
00:33:26 for a thing of not wherefore there would
00:33:28 have been no purpose to the end of its
00:33:29 creation wherefore this thing must needs
00:33:31 to not destroy the wisdom of God and his
00:33:34 eternal purposes and also the power and
00:33:36 the mercy and the justice of God
00:33:39 and if he shall say there is no law can
00:33:42 you go up a little more
00:33:45 and if ye shall say there is no law
00:33:52 ye shall also say there is no sin
00:33:55 and if you shall say there is no sin you
00:33:58 shall also say there is no righteousness
00:34:01 and if there be no righteousness there
00:34:03 be no happiness
00:34:05 and if there be no righteousness nor
00:34:07 happiness there be no punishment nor
00:34:09 misery and if these things are not there
00:34:13 is no God there it is black and white no
00:34:18 law no God
00:34:20 yeah I completely agree of course if you
00:34:24 fool to disagree with the Book of Mormon
00:34:26 if you ask me but anyway and they like
00:34:29 the book
00:34:30 and if there is no God we are in the
00:34:34 book
00:34:35 right and so here is
00:34:39 um Lehigh arguing that the fact that we
00:34:44 exist shows that there is an element
00:34:47 right and the fact that there is an
00:34:49 Elohim shows that there is the fact that
00:34:53 there in the fact that the fact that
00:34:55 Elohim exists shows that the law exists
00:34:58 because with no law no God all right so
00:35:01 let’s just pause for one minute okay
00:35:05 okay
00:35:07 so um okay so let’s do you want to bring
00:35:11 up your your point you brought up Sue or
00:35:13 do you want me to repeat it
00:35:18 uh okay so I’ll repeat it because she
00:35:20 might be muted and she doesn’t know it
00:35:23 um one thing I’m sorry I have to mute
00:35:25 because of my son in the background but
00:35:27 anyway it’s just it’s just down one
00:35:30 verse from where you are okay
00:35:39 uh people don’t know what you’re
00:35:42 referring to so I don’t know if you want
00:35:44 to say that or you want me to say it
00:35:46 okay
00:35:49 I’m speaking I need to stop
00:35:53 okay awesome
00:35:55 um verse 22 it defeats Evolution all
00:36:00 together because it says
00:36:02 if Adam had not transgressed he would
00:36:05 not have fallen but he would have
00:36:07 remained in the Garden of Eden and all
00:36:10 things which were created must have
00:36:12 remained in the same state in which they
00:36:15 were created after they were created
00:36:19 and they must have remained forever and
00:36:22 had no end
00:36:24 I agree that defeats evolution
00:36:26 right yes
00:36:29 um
00:36:30 I I’ll be honest you can’t believe in
00:36:32 evolution and believe in the Book of
00:36:35 Mormon or the Bible because the the
00:36:37 Bible teaches against it also
00:36:40 um as in okay let’s
00:36:43 let’s maybe clear up just a little a
00:36:45 little bit
00:36:46 because there’s the if I remember in the
00:36:49 terms character there’s
00:36:51 macro I think that’s the big one right I
00:36:55 get these terms mixed up the macro
00:36:57 Evolution
00:36:59 yeah that one’s completely destroyed but
00:37:04 um micro Evolution Evolution species
00:37:08 within the species or type if I remember
00:37:13 um Genesis correctly especially with
00:37:16 regarding the flood and Noah tooking
00:37:18 taking animals on the ark it’s he took a
00:37:22 pair of each unclean type and seven
00:37:25 pairs of the clean type if I remember I
00:37:29 think the words type it’s been a little
00:37:30 while but but they don’t go outside the
00:37:34 type and
00:37:36 scientists know this and they don’t like
00:37:38 it so they avoid that subject but
00:37:41 anyways
00:37:43 and they keep they keep trying to find
00:37:47 before they keep finding more species of
00:37:50 people that are supposedly
00:37:53 um
00:37:54 what’s the word I want
00:37:56 the in-betweens
00:37:59 to show that we did evolve which is yeah
00:38:03 yeah because
00:38:04 these claimed scientists believe it and
00:38:07 then it finds out that they’re all
00:38:09 frauds and then they try to make people
00:38:11 forget that they were deceived by these
00:38:13 frauds
00:38:17 um so it anyways
00:38:19 I
00:38:21 it’s something it’s kind of a funny
00:38:24 thing right there but this was actually
00:38:25 a kind of a side track from Alma chapter
00:38:28 12. well so because we were we were
00:38:32 going into the second commandments the
00:38:35 nature of the second commandments the
00:38:36 nature of the fact that Mercy cannot Rob
00:38:38 Justice
00:38:40 um
00:38:41 did you finish your your little thing
00:38:43 that you wanted I’m I’m I I’m I’m kind
00:38:46 of done with I’m kind of done with this
00:38:47 really kind of want to get back to uh
00:38:50 okay and I’m a 12 because in Alma 12 uh
00:38:56 because because of what Alma 12 makes
00:38:59 clear and I’m just gonna wanna backtrack
00:39:03 just a little bit okay to 31 again
00:39:07 so and then just go straight on through
00:39:09 to the end okay okay
00:39:12 wherefore he gave Commandments unto men
00:39:14 they having first transgressed the first
00:39:17 Commandments or the Commandments they
00:39:18 were given in the Garden of Eden which
00:39:20 is as the things and and FYI
00:39:25 in the scriptures Adam can mean mankind
00:39:29 and so hence giving on demand but you
00:39:32 were speaking kind of I didn’t hear what
00:39:33 you said Stephen I’m a oh I’m an Old
00:39:36 Navy event I’m kind of deaf
00:39:38 Adam can mean mankind
00:39:42 Adam can what me mean
00:39:45 kind oh oh okay you’re saying it’s kind
00:39:50 of like a type for mankind is that what
00:39:52 you’re saying well it can literally mean
00:39:54 mankind it’s not just a type but just in
00:39:56 the in the Hebrew in the Hebrew it can’t
00:39:59 be interpreted
00:40:01 it is correct okay
00:40:02 it’s a it’s a name and it’s a name and
00:40:06 an identifier
00:40:09 both just like English words have
00:40:11 multiple meanings sort of Hebrew words
00:40:13 have multiple meanings
00:40:16 so uh wherefore he gave Commandments
00:40:19 unto men they hadn’t transgressed the
00:40:21 first Commandments in the Garden of Eden
00:40:23 as the things which are temporal and
00:40:24 becoming as Gods knowing good from Evil
00:40:27 uh placing themselves in the state Act
00:40:29 of being placed in a state act according
00:40:31 to their wills and Pleasures whether to
00:40:34 do evil or to do good therefore God gave
00:40:37 unto them Commandments after uh
00:40:41 this is a second set of Commandments
00:40:44 that he’s giving them after the first
00:40:46 set after having made known unto them
00:40:48 the Plan of Redemption that they should
00:40:50 not do evil this is the cause for which
00:40:53 he gave them the commands that they
00:40:54 should not do evil
00:40:58 is messing things up sorry
00:41:01 there we go and the the penalty thereof
00:41:04 being a second death which is an
00:41:06 everlasting death as the things
00:41:08 pertaining unto righteousness for on
00:41:10 such The Plan of Redemption could have
00:41:12 no power for the works of Justice could
00:41:14 not be destroyed and this is where we
00:41:16 segued in the second
00:41:18 according to the Supreme goodness of God
00:41:21 but God did call on men in the name of
00:41:23 his son
00:41:25 this being the Plan of Redemption which
00:41:27 was laid saying if ye will repent
00:41:31 and Harden not your hearts then will I
00:41:33 have mercy upon you through mine only
00:41:35 begotten son
00:41:36 so here’s a requirement for mercy
00:41:41 that we repentance
00:41:44 which
00:41:45 goes along with how it was stated
00:41:46 earlier
00:41:48 um
00:41:49 I know I’m getting chapters mixed up but
00:41:51 as it was stated in second Nephi 2
00:41:53 broken heart and contrite spirit same
00:41:57 teaching different term
00:41:59 yep yeah therefore whosoever repenteth
00:42:03 and pardon us not his heart now I I yeah
00:42:07 this is an uh and in other words for a
00:42:09 broken heart and contrite spirit right
00:42:12 and
00:42:13 it’s easy to write the Commandments on a
00:42:16 soft heart
00:42:18 it’s hard to write it on granite heart
00:42:23 therefore whoso repenteth exactly
00:42:26 therefore who still repenteth and
00:42:27 hardeneth not his heart you shall have
00:42:29 claim on Mercy through my only begotten
00:42:32 son unto a remission of their sins these
00:42:35 shall enter into my rest
00:42:38 so those who keep the Commandments and
00:42:42 come under the blood of the Messiah or
00:42:45 the lamb who will enter
00:42:48 yahweh’s rest and whosoever who wants to
00:42:51 say something go ahead Sue
00:42:54 well whenever we hear about a soft heart
00:42:56 in here
00:42:58 at that time the heart was thought to be
00:43:01 where the brain was they were you were
00:43:04 supposed to think from your heart yeah
00:43:06 exactly that’s a good thing to bring out
00:43:08 because that’s word thank you thanks for
00:43:10 bringing that up yeah thank you thanks
00:43:12 for bringing that out
00:43:14 uh let’s see where was I again
00:43:17 there we go I see it now
00:43:20 you shall have Clay my Mercy through
00:43:22 mine only begotten son on the remission
00:43:24 of sins and these shall enter into my
00:43:25 rest and whosoever will harden his heart
00:43:27 and will do iniquity iniquity and sin
00:43:31 are the same yeah behold I will
00:43:34 I
00:43:36 think it’s pointless at this time it’s
00:43:39 either you keep Commandments or you
00:43:42 transgress your sin or iniquity or
00:43:45 Lawless I mean there’s various terms for
00:43:47 this but they’re all the same thing
00:43:51 and say and what does he say behold I
00:43:54 swear in my wrath that they shall not
00:43:56 enter into my rest what does this score
00:43:57 relate to
00:44:00 uh Doctrine and Covenants section 84.
00:44:03 all right let’s go look there let’s go
00:44:05 Side Track
00:44:06 just not Sidetrack too much sorry I get
00:44:09 the sir
00:44:10 but this is something this is something
00:44:13 that is actually pretty
00:44:15 importantly on point I I I just I’m fine
00:44:18 with sidetracks we just can’t Sidetrack
00:44:20 too much right that’s my only thing
00:44:22 right Doctrine and Covenants section 84
00:44:26 I’m gonna try to keep I’m gonna
00:44:28 I’m gonna try to keep this uh on point
00:44:31 here uh and we let’s go okay
00:44:38 now this Moses verse 20 savers
00:44:43 starting in verse 23. okay now this
00:44:46 Moses plainly talked to the children of
00:44:48 Israel in the wilderness
00:44:50 and saw it diligently to sanctify his
00:44:52 people that they might behold the face
00:44:54 of God by the way if we read Exodus
00:44:56 chapter 19 chapters 18 and 19 we know
00:45:00 that this is true even in the Exodus
00:45:03 account there is no
00:45:05 um
00:45:06 there is no
00:45:09 difference between this account and The
00:45:11 Exodus count right but they hardened
00:45:13 their hearts just to on that point Moses
00:45:16 wanted to take everybody to go see
00:45:19 yahweh’s face
00:45:21 it was the people who didn’t want to
00:45:24 because they could they hardened their
00:45:27 hearts and would they not and could not
00:45:29 endure his presence therefore the Lord
00:45:32 in his wrath for his anger was kindled
00:45:34 against them swore that they should not
00:45:35 enter into his rest while in the
00:45:37 wilderness which rest is the fullness of
00:45:38 his glory now verse 24 actually
00:45:41 condenses a whole lot of what’s in The
00:45:44 Exodus account because
00:45:47 they broke they entered the Covenant and
00:45:50 then broke it within 40 days of having
00:45:53 entered it yeah and this is one thing on
00:45:56 the point that a lot of people don’t
00:45:57 worshiping other gods or or they don’t
00:46:01 consider or they don’t know right is
00:46:04 that they heard the Ten Commandments
00:46:07 before Moses went on on the mount and it
00:46:10 scared them right I mean I’ll tell you I
00:46:13 see a lot of people scared of the law
00:46:15 today even even when it’s not spoken
00:46:17 from yahweh’s mouth but they heard the
00:46:20 Ten Commandments from yahweh’s own mouth
00:46:23 and it scared them and they’re like No
00:46:26 Moses you go to God for us right
00:46:30 and then while he’s then while he’s
00:46:33 receiving the rest of the law from the
00:46:35 Lord
00:46:38 they go even though they promised to
00:46:40 obey the Commandments before he went up
00:46:43 they finally used a stronger word
00:46:45 covenanted they Covenant they covenanted
00:46:47 they covenanted to obey the Ten
00:46:49 Commandments that they have given and
00:46:51 within 40 days they had broken even that
00:46:54 Covenant
00:46:56 right and then and then and then comes
00:46:58 the Fulfillment of what he promised when
00:47:02 in the very next verse he says therefore
00:47:05 he took Moses out of their midst and the
00:47:08 holy priesthood also yes so let’s so
00:47:13 that’s priesthood all right
00:47:15 yes yes so and so let’s so let’s
00:47:26 to do Miracles you need the Melchizedek
00:47:29 priesthood period I’m sorry yes what did
00:47:33 that mean
00:47:34 do you want to do this
00:47:37 so you might want to mute
00:47:39 okay I can listen to what you’re doing
00:47:43 so the to perform miracles
00:47:48 you have to have the Melchizedek
00:47:50 priesthood so the fact that Moses and
00:47:54 Joshua did many miracles and other
00:47:57 prophets in the Tanakh shows
00:47:59 that the Melchizedek priesthood was not
00:48:02 completely taken away it just was not
00:48:05 among the general membership
00:48:08 right
00:48:09 but women but here’s there are Women of
00:48:13 Faith who have done Miracles oh yeah um
00:48:16 Isaiah’s wife was a profit test I think
00:48:20 I think that’s right yeah she was a
00:48:22 prophetess
00:48:27 um there was a oh I’m forgetting the
00:48:30 name of the judge
00:48:35 oh and then uh was it Deborah yeah
00:48:38 Deborah Deborah the judge yeah she
00:48:41 stepped up when the men would step up
00:48:43 and she prophesied also
00:48:47 um yeah I mean
00:48:49 it’s like
00:48:52 God will work with who will work with
00:48:54 him or Elohim will work with whoever
00:48:57 will work with him right and another
00:49:01 account we’ll talk about later tonight
00:49:03 is avish
00:49:10 the whole point of this is this is what
00:49:14 is this is part of what’s
00:49:15 interconnecting with Alma’s teaching
00:49:18 here as he’s talking about Torah second
00:49:20 commandments given to Adam after he left
00:49:25 after he’s
00:49:27 pushed out of the Garden of Eden
00:49:29 so let’s go back uh uh
00:49:34 Alma chapter 12.
00:49:37 um
00:49:41 okay do you remember what verse I don’t
00:49:43 okay we’re probably 30 something new
00:49:46 we’re here we’re here we’re here we’re
00:49:48 here
00:49:50 um I swear in my wrath I shall not enter
00:49:51 into my wrist and now my brethren behold
00:49:54 I say unto you that if ye will harden
00:49:56 your hearts ye shall not enter into the
00:49:59 rest of the Lord
00:50:01 Therefore your iniquity or sin
00:50:04 provokeeth him that he sendeth down his
00:50:07 wrath upon you as in the first
00:50:09 provocation oh Paul talks about the
00:50:12 first provocation as well but anyway yea
00:50:15 according to his word in the last
00:50:17 provocation as well as in the first to
00:50:20 the Everlasting dishonest is the second
00:50:27 yeah this is the last provocation is
00:50:30 actually a reference in the second death
00:50:32 first provocation first test
00:50:35 um
00:50:36 therefore according to his word unto the
00:50:39 last death as well as the first
00:50:43 second death right right that last part
00:50:47 of that verse clarified that statement
00:50:49 right yeah
00:50:51 and now my brethren seeing we know these
00:50:54 things and they are true
00:50:57 let us repent and Harden out our hearts
00:51:00 that we provoke not the Lord Our God to
00:51:03 pull down his wrath upon us in these his
00:51:06 second commandments
00:51:09 which he hath given unto us
00:51:11 regardless of where anybody stands on
00:51:14 law of Moses and Torah
00:51:17 we can all agree
00:51:19 that the Nephites at this time were
00:51:23 required to keep Torah and law of Moses
00:51:27 these are the second commandments which
00:51:30 were given to Adam Adam had Torah
00:51:35 but let us enter into them but let uh
00:51:38 and how do we enter into the rest of the
00:51:40 Lord by not pulling his wrath down upon
00:51:43 us
00:51:44 by violating the second commandments
00:51:47 which he has hath given unto us but let
00:51:49 us enter into the rest of the Lord which
00:51:51 is prepared according to his word
00:51:58 Adam
00:52:00 Jesus gave it you know Yeshua
00:52:06 Yahweh gave Torah
00:52:10 he gave tour to Adam now
00:52:14 it’s the laws in the Torah that matter
00:52:16 the history
00:52:19 and the way it was taught to Adam is
00:52:21 going to be a little different than it
00:52:22 was given to Moses
00:52:24 but the laws themselves
00:52:28 is the essence
00:52:30 of Torah
00:52:32 and that’s what Adam was given it’s
00:52:34 God’s explanation of his character
00:52:36 correct and to back up that statement up
00:52:43 we will know him because we will be like
00:52:47 him
00:52:48 and if you’re not doing what he did as
00:52:52 he did it
00:52:53 you don’t know him in fact which is why
00:52:58 anymore which is why anymore when I
00:53:01 speak of keeping Torah I tend to speak
00:53:04 more of walking in the footsteps of Our
00:53:07 Savior Jesus Christ
00:53:09 yeah and so here’s a good verse that
00:53:12 does that first John 2 3-6 was just
00:53:17 after the death which is the main point
00:53:20 and Resurrection
00:53:23 and hereby oh I’ll read it because
00:53:26 you’ve been reading okay and hereby we
00:53:28 do know that we know him
00:53:30 if we keep his Commandments you know
00:53:33 which he States if you love me keep my
00:53:35 Commandments and no has to do with an
00:53:38 intimate relationship not just know
00:53:41 about him but be in a relationship with
00:53:44 him an intimate relationship with him
00:53:46 Adam knew Eve and he that said I have an
00:53:52 intimate relationship with him and
00:53:55 keepeth not his Commandments is a liar
00:53:58 there’s a lot of liars out there
00:54:00 and the truth is not in him
00:54:03 but whosoever keepeth his word
00:54:07 in him verily is the love of Elohim
00:54:11 perfected perspected
00:54:14 just as Yahweh commanded us to be
00:54:17 perfect
00:54:19 nearby know that we should
00:54:22 we are in him now
00:54:26 there’s controversies on how to read
00:54:28 these couple verses up above and what
00:54:30 the law is but these this last
00:54:34 part of the chaism really clears it up
00:54:37 he that saith he abideth in him
00:54:41 ought himself also to walk even as
00:54:45 Yeshua walked
00:54:48 um
00:54:49 and
00:54:50 I don’t think anybody can argue that
00:54:53 yahshua kept Torah I mean I I have heard
00:54:55 some okay
00:54:57 but they’re not very valid to be honest
00:55:01 Yeshua kept the law
00:55:03 and yeah to say that Yeshua did not keep
00:55:07 the laws of dishonest argument
00:55:09 I agree and it is also and it is also to
00:55:13 state
00:55:14 and it is also to state that there is no
00:55:16 savior because otherwise if he had not
00:55:18 kept every law if he was not the lamb
00:55:21 without blemish if he was not the lamb
00:55:23 without broken bone or law he could not
00:55:28 have paid the sacrifice for our sin yeah
00:55:32 in the scriptures teach that he was
00:55:34 sinless Hebrews 7 especially the jst
00:55:37 teaches he was what he knew no sin
00:55:41 which means he kept the law
00:55:43 um I
00:55:44 I don’t know or he knew no sins but for
00:55:47 the sins of the people
00:55:49 uh DNC 45 saying father behold the
00:55:54 sufferings and death of him who
00:55:57 did no sin I was talking about Yeshua
00:56:00 First John 3 5 knowing you that he was
00:56:03 manifest to you to take take our sins in
00:56:07 him
00:56:08 is no sin meaning he committed no sin
00:56:11 that’s why he could take our sins upon
00:56:14 him to reverse the effects of it he had
00:56:19 to be sinless to rehearsals effects
00:56:22 first Peter 2 22 who did no sin
00:56:26 first of second Corinthians 5 21 he hath
00:56:29 made him to be sin for us who knew
00:56:33 or did no sin
00:56:36 Hebrews 4 15. for we know not a high
00:56:41 priest which cannot be touched with the
00:56:43 feelings of our infirmities but in all
00:56:46 points tempted like we are yet without
00:56:50 sin and Isaiah 53
00:56:53 um but anyways
00:56:59 long and the short of it is that he was
00:57:01 sinless and the point and the point
00:57:03 remains
00:57:05 from the point remains that the second
00:57:08 commandments which were given to Adam
00:57:11 after he transgressed the first and was
00:57:14 thrown out and was cast out of the
00:57:16 Garden of Eden
00:57:18 we’re twirl
00:57:19 yes
00:57:20 [Music]
00:57:22 the laws the laws associated with
00:57:24 Victoria were given to Adam
00:57:27 yes
00:57:29 uh and we pretty much showed that
00:57:31 through uh going through Alma 12 28
00:57:35 through 37.
00:57:37 um
00:57:40 it doesn’t exactly just come out and say
00:57:43 it but when you connect the dots it
00:57:45 shows it that Adam kept Torah okay
00:57:49 so it doesn’t it doesn’t exist yeah but
00:57:54 it says it
00:57:56 and not but at the same time right right
00:57:58 right that’s that’s what I that’s what I
00:58:00 was getting at it says it but it also
00:58:03 doesn’t say it so I I think another way
00:58:06 of putting it is
00:58:07 the people that are being talked to at
00:58:10 this time knew that Alma kept Torah so
00:58:14 they could just allude to it rather than
00:58:16 just coming out and directly saying it
00:58:18 right as we’ve expounded here it shows
00:58:22 that
00:58:23 do you have a question
00:58:25 well yeah
00:58:27 um
00:58:28 I was under the impression that the law
00:58:32 tore us that the where they were given
00:58:35 under Moses was a lower law because they
00:58:38 wouldn’t keep the higher law
00:58:41 so lower law and higher law is nowhere
00:58:44 found in the scriptures
00:58:46 but there is a jst we can go look at the
00:58:50 I think relates to this but it doesn’t
00:58:52 say higher and lower law is States
00:58:54 carnal law and karnal law is law of
00:58:59 Moses which is the daily performance and
00:59:01 ordinances that they were to do
00:59:04 as a punishment and that’s why it’s not
00:59:07 Eternal because punishments don’t have
00:59:09 to be Eternal sadly for the Lawless ones
00:59:12 it will be Eternal but it doesn’t well
00:59:15 it’s a punishment is is like a
00:59:17 discipline it’s like hey look here’s
00:59:19 here’s what you got to go through to
00:59:21 learn your lesson
00:59:22 right right
00:59:24 um so carnal
00:59:26 so jst Genesis 34 1 and Yahweh said unto
00:59:31 mom was Moses Hue the
00:59:34 two other tablets of stone like onto the
00:59:37 first and I will write so Yahweh wrote
00:59:40 the second set okay and it was like the
00:59:44 first set
00:59:45 the words of the law according as they
00:59:47 were written on the first on the tablets
00:59:51 where style has break it now so same
00:59:53 thing right
00:59:55 but it shall not be according to the
00:59:58 first so there’s there is a difference
01:00:01 for I will take away the priesthood
01:00:05 um and I’m going to clarify the
01:00:06 Melchizedek priesthood because I don’t
01:00:09 think anybody
01:00:11 clarifies that
01:00:14 sorry I say that again
01:00:16 dark and Covenants 84 clarifies that
01:00:18 yeah which I think Sue missed a little
01:00:21 bit so she’ll have to go back and listen
01:00:23 to a little bit at the beginning but I’m
01:00:25 I’m showing it it’s here in the jst also
01:00:30 and it
01:00:31 more addressing
01:00:33 there was an additional law given of
01:00:38 carnal Commandments AKA of death
01:00:43 carnal animal death and we can show that
01:00:48 from yeah there was a and so and so the
01:00:52 law of the law of Moses
01:00:55 is an addendum to the law of God
01:01:00 or Torah
01:01:02 which in this you know and it and it was
01:01:07 a judgment that was handed down upon the
01:01:09 children of Israel uh I would say this
01:01:12 punishment actually well I I’d say it’s
01:01:15 happened because of judgments but yeah I
01:01:17 would say it’s I would say it’s a
01:01:18 judgment because God
01:01:21 is
01:01:23 the Elohim
01:01:24 he is the judge
01:01:26 and so it is a judgment
01:01:29 this is why it can be called a law
01:01:32 because when a judge hands down a
01:01:34 judgment
01:01:36 on the law
01:01:38 it becomes an addendum
01:01:41 to the law just like when a con a
01:01:45 Supreme Court Judge makes a judgment
01:01:50 based on the Constitution that judgment
01:01:53 becomes a part of the Constitution
01:01:59 yeah
01:02:01 okay I I see I see your point so the law
01:02:05 of Moses was an addendum a judgment by
01:02:08 God upon the children of Israel
01:02:11 meant to remind them
01:02:15 of the of the sacrifice
01:02:19 that because of their sin
01:02:22 that Yeshua would have to do for them
01:02:25 well not just theirs but Adams it was
01:02:27 yeah all because of all
01:02:30 of mankind right right well yeah but
01:02:33 still at the same time
01:02:36 a judgment is handed down a judgment is
01:02:38 handed down on a people to remind
01:02:42 when it’s connected to a specific seed a
01:02:46 bloodline that but the law of Moses was
01:02:48 actually connected to all the world I
01:02:50 guess so but um
01:02:52 connected to Abraham Abraham yeah
01:02:57 that’s my personal opinion it’s not
01:02:59 something I’ve Dove deep into but I
01:03:02 think it’s just Abraham’s because it’s
01:03:04 Abraham said okay just like the just
01:03:06 like circumcision was just Abraham’s
01:03:09 so all of these judgments are handed
01:03:11 down
01:03:12 all these judgments are handed down they
01:03:15 become law because the judge has judged
01:03:19 that they must be so these are the
01:03:23 carnal laws the carnal Commandments
01:03:28 um yeah the law of Moses well
01:03:31 the circumcision was a carnal
01:03:33 commandment too because it is also
01:03:34 related because of the blood that comes
01:03:36 when you when you circumcise yeah
01:03:41 um I I completely agree with that
01:03:43 um and I will say I like the word
01:03:47 punishment more because punishments
01:03:49 don’t have to be eternal
01:03:51 uh and so but let’s see what
01:03:55 why we could but I mean the reason I the
01:03:58 reason I the reason I use the word
01:04:00 judgment is because
01:04:02 God often refers to his judgments as
01:04:05 laws
01:04:06 I I agree and even the 1828 dictionary
01:04:09 agrees
01:04:12 that’s why I use the word judgment yeah
01:04:15 yeah I I’m just saying I have a
01:04:17 preference to use that yeah he’s just
01:04:19 he’s just expressing a differing
01:04:21 um Viewpoint that’s right that’s that’s
01:04:24 this is where I talked about even
01:04:25 earlier just on the word sin
01:04:27 transgression iniquity same thing just
01:04:31 different people have a different
01:04:32 preference of way of approaching it
01:04:35 right and saying it that’s right yeah
01:04:37 it’s the same thing but but at the same
01:04:39 time but at the end of the day it’s it’s
01:04:43 Apples to Apples yeah exactly it’s just
01:04:47 different people have a different
01:04:49 preference of way of approaching it it’s
01:04:51 always right right
01:04:53 um and so
01:04:55 the main part of the law Moses or as
01:05:01 um ability a Benedict called them in
01:05:04 mosiah 13 is the daily performances and
01:05:07 ordinances in fact I’m going to start
01:05:08 with the one that brings out daily
01:05:11 um is you’re talking really soft Stephen
01:05:13 I can barely hear you ah sorry sir I’m
01:05:15 trying not to be too loud because of my
01:05:18 household
01:05:19 um but
01:05:21 I called it the daily performance as an
01:05:25 ordinances
01:05:27 um uh that’s mosiah 13 30. yeah let’s
01:05:31 let’s
01:05:33 yeah
01:05:36 13.
01:05:42 so here we go
01:05:44 so I have some glisten here but
01:05:46 performance isn’t ordinances that they
01:05:48 observed strictly day to day okay so
01:05:52 that’s what it is
01:05:55 yeah and it even talks about uh when you
01:05:58 read into this and we can some if you
01:06:01 guys prefer to it talks about the
01:06:03 situation of what happened at Mount
01:06:05 Sinai how they hardened their hearts
01:06:07 against the law and they broke it
01:06:10 and that’s why they were given the law
01:06:14 the law of Moses or the day-to-day AKA
01:06:19 daily
01:06:20 performances and ordinances so right
01:06:24 it’s right there it’s just a matter of
01:06:27 you will recognize it it was basically
01:06:30 it was basically him saying okay so
01:06:33 you’re not where you need to be so this
01:06:35 is what I’m giving you so that you can
01:06:38 get to where you need to be by the way
01:06:40 another word for performance another
01:06:41 word for performances is ceremonies yes
01:06:44 which is right yes
01:06:47 same with ordinances that’s another word
01:06:49 you can be ceremonies also but it would
01:06:54 I would still change what Joshua said a
01:06:57 little bit okay in that it was to help
01:07:01 them know where they may gain salvation
01:07:04 and that is only through Yeshua the
01:07:08 Messiah and and in these this passage it
01:07:11 even brings out how
01:07:15 um the
01:07:17 Wicked Priests of Noah
01:07:20 construed that this law would save them
01:07:23 instead of what it was pointing to as
01:07:26 stated in Alma 34
01:07:29 um right that every wit of these types
01:07:33 which is the
01:07:36 law of Moses the daily performance and
01:07:39 ordinances we can look at the rest of
01:07:40 this passage to see that but we’re
01:07:42 sidetracking
01:07:44 points to the great and last sacrifice
01:07:48 which is the Son of God the Lamb of God
01:07:55 so what daily performances does this
01:07:58 include
01:07:59 every day yeah I I was trying to get to
01:08:02 that so let’s that’s a good way to get
01:08:05 back to that okay no I just I just
01:08:07 started running my mouth no no no that’s
01:08:09 fine focus on this for a minute so I I
01:08:12 will tell you
01:08:15 um it’s primarily the daily two Labs
01:08:18 that the levitical aaronic priesthood
01:08:21 had to do not your average person the
01:08:26 average person could not do this okay
01:08:29 it was a little video you had to be you
01:08:31 had to be ordained to do this yes
01:08:35 and it’s more than that as it brings out
01:08:38 here in Alma 34 because it talks about
01:08:41 the manner of foul and beasts but
01:08:45 and that actually gets into what the the
01:08:48 other portions of the law of Moses but
01:08:50 the primary one is the daily two Labs
01:08:56 one at between the mornings and the
01:08:59 other one between the evenings well
01:09:02 let’s go into let’s go into Leviticus
01:09:04 where it actually well I I wonder
01:09:05 numbers 28 first
01:09:08 okay mainly because of this term
01:09:14 day by day that’s
01:09:17 exactly the same term well not exactly
01:09:20 because it’s a translation issue because
01:09:22 his was day two day let me go double
01:09:26 check that
01:09:27 um because I think my members correct on
01:09:29 that I I think you I think you’re right
01:09:31 yeah so in The Book of Mormons day two
01:09:33 day
01:09:35 but that that’s a translation issue day
01:09:37 to day day by day
01:09:39 if you think that’s different grow up
01:09:42 okay sorry it’s a translation deal and
01:09:45 another way of saying it it’s the same
01:09:48 damn thing and I said that to bring in a
01:09:52 point it’s the same okay and the Ten
01:09:56 Commandments don’t say don’t swear
01:09:58 as in saying a swear word it’s a whole
01:10:01 other subject I’m
01:10:04 saying for those who listen
01:10:06 angels
01:10:18 [Laughter]
01:10:22 all right so
01:10:24 let’s go read the main reason I want to
01:10:26 start with numbers 28 is because there’s
01:10:28 that strong connection to what the
01:10:30 Benedict was saying in mosiah 13. the
01:10:33 day by day and I’m going to ask Ben to
01:10:36 read this one so and as as people will
01:10:40 know when they work with me I love my
01:10:43 bringing out chiasms because here it is
01:10:45 you can see there
01:10:48 and the Lord spake unto Moses say
01:10:51 command the children of Israel and say
01:10:52 on
01:10:53 my offering and my bread for my
01:10:56 sacrifices made by fire
01:10:58 for a sweet Savor unto me shall be ye
01:11:01 observed to offer unto me in their due
01:11:03 season
01:11:04 and thou shalt say unto them this is the
01:11:06 offering made by fire which he shall
01:11:08 offer unto the Lord
01:11:10 two lambs of the first year without spot
01:11:12 day by day okay I’m I’m gonna stop a
01:11:16 little bit there
01:11:18 a little tidbit
01:11:20 a lamb at their
01:11:23 one year was at their Prime
01:11:27 Yeshua gave his life at his prime
01:11:32 yeah
01:11:33 so even the age of the Lamb points to
01:11:37 Yeshua and the timing
01:11:41 for a continual bird offering
01:11:43 the one lamb shall bow often
01:11:46 did you skip no I I read that before so
01:11:50 okay I’ll start over again I’ll start
01:11:51 that line over it okay two lambs of the
01:11:54 first year without spot day by day for a
01:11:56 continual burnt offering
01:11:58 the one lamb shalt thou offer in the
01:12:00 morning and the other lamb shalt thou
01:12:02 offer it even
01:12:06 um different passages and different
01:12:08 translations do this a little bit
01:12:10 different so my term for the morning is
01:12:12 between the mornings which is between in
01:12:16 the middle of Sunrise and high noon
01:12:20 and the other one is between the
01:12:23 evenings
01:12:24 which is between
01:12:27 um high noon and sunset
01:12:29 no it’s between the evenings because
01:12:33 when the Sun starts setting and Hebrew
01:12:36 thought that is an evening so there’s
01:12:38 actually two
01:12:40 evening points in huberic thought
01:12:44 high noon because that’s when the
01:12:45 evening starts because the Sun starts
01:12:47 going down and sunset because that’s the
01:12:49 sign that the evening is over the days
01:12:52 between the evenings
01:12:54 well the daylight hours your work hours
01:12:56 are over not the in in Hellenistic
01:13:00 thought the 24 hours is not over
01:13:03 because that’s ends at Sunrise but
01:13:06 anyways that’s another subject
01:13:08 the other okay
01:13:10 uh the one lamb that shot thou offer in
01:13:12 the morning the other lamb shell they’ll
01:13:13 offer it even and a tenth part of an IFA
01:13:16 a flower for meat offering mingled with
01:13:18 the fourth part of the Inn of Wheaton
01:13:20 oil
01:13:21 it is a continual birth so
01:13:24 Yeshua talked about his atonement
01:13:28 as being
01:13:30 as an oil press
01:13:33 right a hint of eating oil
01:13:37 yeah and it was beaten
01:13:40 Isaiah 53.
01:13:42 all of this every wit pointing back
01:13:45 pointing to the Redemption of Jesus
01:13:48 Christ it is a continual burnt offering
01:13:51 which was ordained in Mount Sinai for a
01:13:53 sweet saver a sacrifice
01:13:57 oh sorry no and just to add to that the
01:14:00 times when the different events happened
01:14:03 goes along with this even the midnight
01:14:06 for the burnt offering but anyways I
01:14:10 I’ll be honest I’m not sure yet how this
01:14:15 Point yet
01:14:17 right so I’m still I still have some
01:14:19 learning to do
01:14:21 um but anyways but as Alma 34 brings out
01:14:26 every whip points to yeshua’s sacrifice
01:14:30 that he made
01:14:32 which was ordained in Mount Sinai for a
01:14:35 sweet saber sacrifice Mount Sinai
01:14:40 that’s after Moses came down the mount
01:14:43 and saw the people who broke their
01:14:47 Covenant
01:14:48 that’s when this was started it’s not
01:14:52 Eternal this had a starting point and
01:14:54 even the law emits that
01:14:57 and it had an ending point which Jesus
01:15:01 Christ told us about in 35 chapter 9
01:15:04 chapter 9 which we can go look at
01:15:06 um but let’s let’s finish this up real
01:15:09 quick sorry a sacrifice made by fire
01:15:13 unto the Lord and the drink offering
01:15:15 thereof shall be the fourth part of an
01:15:17 Hymn for one I own it pauses there
01:15:19 Yeshua did a drink offering on the cross
01:15:24 he asked for wine
01:15:26 and vinegar
01:15:27 is wine
01:15:31 nope
01:15:32 in the Holy Place shalt thou cause the
01:15:35 strong wine to be poured onto the Lord
01:15:37 for a drink offering
01:15:41 okay yeah he did he said another thirst
01:15:43 that’s true yeah and the other lamb
01:15:46 shell Bell off her and even as the meat
01:15:48 offering of the morning
01:15:50 and as the drink offering thereof Thou
01:15:52 shalt offer it a sacrifice made by fire
01:15:56 of sweet of sweet saver on Tunnel board
01:15:59 yes I went through a lot of fire to do
01:16:02 what he did for us right
01:16:05 and actually the lamb
01:16:11 at the lamb at Mid evening
01:16:14 in the land between the evenings
01:16:17 points directly to the time of his death
01:16:20 yes it does
01:16:22 I I don’t uh here let’s pause for a
01:16:25 minute
01:16:29 so
01:16:31 um
01:16:32 I
01:16:34 this talks about the daily the numbers
01:16:36 28 1-8 that we just read at least the
01:16:40 primary part of of the law Moses because
01:16:44 there’s a weekly one that happens on the
01:16:48 Sabbath and then there’s a moonly one
01:16:50 that happens on New Moon day which FYI
01:16:54 those who are interested in the calendar
01:16:56 the fact that there’s a a weekday
01:16:59 sacrifice a Sabbath sacrifice and a
01:17:04 moonly
01:17:06 sacrifice shows that there’s are three
01:17:08 types of day in yahweh’s calendar
01:17:11 because the law
01:17:13 does not distinguish what to do if one
01:17:17 of these three days land on the same day
01:17:19 because it never does
01:17:24 it never does because yahweh’s calendar
01:17:27 is set by the Sun and the Moon period
01:17:34 three types of Day That Never overlap
01:17:39 um now we can get into the
01:17:43 the weekly Sabbath I mean the weekly
01:17:46 sacrifices and the moonling sacrifices
01:17:49 also
01:17:50 um
01:17:51 I I would actually rather not in this
01:17:54 someone really wants to for me there’s
01:17:56 another there’s other there yeah there’s
01:17:59 other there’s other not right now right
01:18:01 right there’s other ones we can get
01:18:02 though sure now just so people know
01:18:06 Leviticus 6 has the same thing and it
01:18:09 brings out other aspects of the same
01:18:12 thing and so does
01:18:14 um
01:18:16 Exodus 29 and all three of these
01:18:21 primarily focus on the Lambs which is
01:18:24 when John the Baptist said Behold the
01:18:27 Lamb of God he was not talking about the
01:18:29 Passover Lamb he was talking about
01:18:33 law of Moses lab of the daily
01:18:36 performances and ordinances because
01:18:43 the messiah’s sacrifice went Point by
01:18:46 point of the law of Moses
01:18:50 now
01:18:53 Passover Lamb also points to the Messiah
01:18:56 okay so I’m not denying that fact
01:18:59 but
01:19:03 as Paul brings out in I think it’s in
01:19:07 Hebrews
01:19:09 this law Moses had to be done by a
01:19:12 priest
01:19:13 which was the Messiah law the Passover
01:19:17 Lamb was done by a head of a household
01:19:20 not a priest
01:19:27 was done by head of the household
01:19:31 right okay not a priest right okay and
01:19:36 so the fact I think it’s Hebrews and we
01:19:40 can go look into it I I don’t have
01:19:41 everything memorized but Paul
01:19:45 brings out that
01:19:47 this
01:19:50 lamb had to be done
01:19:53 by a priest which points
01:19:56 to
01:19:58 the law of Moses because the law of
01:19:59 Moses had to be done
01:20:01 by a levitical priest
01:20:04 or because as we know in the restoration
01:20:07 that a Melchizedek priest can do
01:20:10 anything a levitical priests can do and
01:20:13 Messiah was a Melchizedek priest
01:20:18 because he wasn’t with levitical he was
01:20:20 not of Aaron Levi no definitely not
01:20:23 because of Judah right yeah yeah anyways
01:20:27 all the way yes
01:20:29 but the main point here is it was
01:20:33 the Lamb of the law of Moses that John
01:20:35 was talking about not the Passover Lamb
01:20:39 they both point to him
01:20:41 but the one that John was bringing out
01:20:44 is the law of Moses Lambs I’m going to
01:20:48 say plural now which is more probably
01:20:50 more appropriate
01:20:51 either way because
01:20:54 and that is the that is the law judgment
01:20:57 that ended with the resurrect with the
01:20:59 death and resurrection of Christ just
01:21:01 the death actually but that’s the death
01:21:03 yeah I I I I will I will say
01:21:05 Resurrection more just to hammer it in
01:21:09 people’s head
01:21:11 because some people think things change
01:21:12 in the resurrection but it wasn’t then
01:21:15 no no nothing changed what what what his
01:21:18 death did was it it ended the the law of
01:21:23 daily observances the law of Moses but
01:21:26 it renewed his resurrection renewed
01:21:29 Torah
01:21:33 it gave us the purpose to do it because
01:21:35 we’ve now overcome physical and
01:21:38 spiritual death through him right it and
01:21:42 it makes
01:21:45 his resurrection
01:21:48 gives the law
01:21:51 gives the law another
01:21:55 purpose besides just
01:21:58 besides condemning us
01:22:01 right correct right yeah okay yeah I
01:22:04 agree with that yeah to go with what uh
01:22:06 Ben is saying second Nephi 9 we can go
01:22:09 find the verse I don’t know if I’ll
01:22:10 throw my head but we could probably find
01:22:11 it easily if you guys want to but in
01:22:14 there Jacob States if it wasn’t for
01:22:17 yeshua’s sacrifice we would become
01:22:19 demons unto Satan or Angels unto saint
01:22:22 nor something to that effect meaning
01:22:24 without the resurrection
01:22:27 we’d be we would become followers of
01:22:31 Satan
01:22:32 right it’s with without the atonement we
01:22:35 won’t have a purpose to start keeping
01:22:37 the law because we all broke it and so
01:22:39 we all know there’s no way to death yeah
01:22:40 because we all deserve to death but
01:22:42 because of the atonement
01:22:45 we can be forgiven
01:22:46 because his bowels were filled with
01:22:48 Mercy
01:22:50 right the Slate the resurrection an
01:22:54 integral and vital part of
01:22:56 the whole atonement process
01:22:58 I undid what the first Adam did the
01:23:02 second atom
01:23:04 undid the first Adam’s mistake
01:23:08 and so and so the Slate can be wiped
01:23:12 clean
01:23:14 from our past sins and we could walk
01:23:17 forward in a new life
01:23:22 as a new creature not an old creature
01:23:25 with new excuses right right and a new
01:23:28 creature is now doing
01:23:31 things differently not the same
01:23:35 right
01:23:38 so yeah uh we can look into the law of
01:23:41 Moses more but is that good enough Sue
01:23:44 um or do you want to look at it more
01:23:48 I’m having trouble unmuting myself okay
01:23:54 um
01:23:57 I did have a question okay first Adam
01:24:01 and second Adam yeah
01:24:04 uh second actually it’s in the writings
01:24:07 of Paul yeah second Adam is Yeshua first
01:24:11 Adam is Adam it’s from Paul
01:24:15 in the New Testament
01:24:17 um for as the as by the first Adam
01:24:21 who all die by the second Christ all are
01:24:24 made of us right
01:24:26 so you guys can you hear me that makes
01:24:28 more sense yes
01:24:30 because my thing says I’m on mute
01:24:34 well that’s confusing now
01:24:39 yeah
01:24:40 it’s not showing me that I’m back okay
01:24:44 because I just heard you you just said
01:24:46 it’s showing I’m not back but so
01:24:49 assume has some bugs in its software
01:24:54 yeah did you have another question on on
01:24:57 the law Moses real quick no
01:24:59 okay because can we move to the uh let’s
01:25:03 move to the next item in the next
01:25:05 portion yeah so next week
01:25:07 so 127 128. oh yeah oh no no I I’m not
01:25:12 playing with this part oh he’s not done
01:25:14 with this okay no all right
01:25:16 um so
01:25:18 the next part on keeping Torah okay
01:25:21 is the mighty and strong one and so we
01:25:26 can go over this if you guys want
01:25:28 um but a lot of people
01:25:31 love to make Jacob five only allegory
01:25:39 um
01:25:40 Mason you’ll have to put a note on what
01:25:43 that is because I I can’t go
01:25:45 look at the YouTube right now so but if
01:25:48 you have a question go ahead and ask it
01:25:50 it’s just something of interest that you
01:25:52 guys can look at later it actually is
01:25:54 the uh
01:25:55 deals with the Ark of the Covenant and
01:25:57 the fact that it has been found
01:26:00 uh but maybe I’ve seen a lot of theories
01:26:05 on that but anyways well it’s but it’s
01:26:07 just interesting well it’s basically
01:26:09 some of the claims that’s been found let
01:26:10 me put it that way but the story behind
01:26:13 it is something quite interesting that
01:26:14 you guys would like that but it’s
01:26:15 something to look at later not for this
01:26:16 okay I just message it for people to
01:26:18 check out sure sure well we can look at
01:26:20 it later
01:26:21 um so
01:26:23 um Jacob five is not only allegory
01:26:28 um like a lot of people like to claim
01:26:29 it’s awesome
01:26:31 prophecy you know when Jacob quoted uh
01:26:37 is it Zenius I think I’d have to go
01:26:40 double check on that one I think yes
01:26:43 okay when Jacob was quoting Zenith it
01:26:47 was more prophecy back then than history
01:26:49 than it is now right because time has
01:26:51 gone on
01:26:53 um
01:26:54 and possibly just just to show that a
01:26:58 little bit let’s go look at these notes
01:27:01 I’m sorry I don’t have it all memorized
01:27:03 but
01:27:05 um you know the the faintest pin is
01:27:07 greater is better than the greatest
01:27:09 memory so I mean here’s my one note with
01:27:11 all my with my pen
01:27:18 I’m still on the uh all I can see is the
01:27:22 uh you need to share your one note oh do
01:27:24 I not change my screen sorry guys
01:27:29 apparently I don’t know how to push my
01:27:31 computer’s buttons
01:27:35 what’s yours
01:27:38 um I I know some people like to try to
01:27:40 push mine it’s getting harder but it
01:27:42 still happens sometimes anyways
01:27:45 um so
01:27:48 here’s my favorite example that shows
01:27:51 Jacob five is actual history
01:27:55 prophecy slash history
01:27:57 um because here are two passages in it
01:28:00 that actually links
01:28:03 to the the heights as I’ll call them
01:28:07 sometimes or basically the Nephites and
01:28:09 the lamanites um do you want to take a
01:28:11 moment to read these Josh
01:28:14 sure
01:28:18 so we’ve got Jacob chapter 5 verses 24
01:28:21 through 25. yeah
01:28:24 I had to get a pass that the Lord of The
01:28:26 Vineyard said again unto his servant
01:28:28 look hither and behold another Branch
01:28:31 also which I have planted
01:28:34 behold that I have nursed it also and it
01:28:37 hath brought forth fruit
01:28:39 when he said unto the servant
01:28:42 look hither and behold the last behold
01:28:45 this have I planted in a good spot of
01:28:48 ground
01:28:49 and I have nourished it this long time
01:28:51 and only apart
01:28:54 Nephites that’s your note of the tree
01:28:58 uh hath brought forth came fruit and the
01:29:03 other part of the tree hath brought
01:29:05 forth wild fruit
01:29:07 behold I have nourished this tree like
01:29:10 unto the others
01:29:13 and then Jacob
01:29:16 um just to talk a little bit
01:29:19 um the tame fruit
01:29:21 is good fruit which is the Nephites and
01:29:25 the tree is Lehigh because he is the one
01:29:28 that both of these are coming off of
01:29:30 right and the right and the wild fruit
01:29:33 is the bad fruit or the lamanites and
01:29:36 it’s I mean you go read through the Book
01:29:38 of Mormon
01:29:39 for the most part the Nephites are the
01:29:43 good and the lamanites are the bad right
01:29:44 there’s there’s some exceptions but for
01:29:46 the most part that is true right
01:29:49 right okay so at only one point really
01:29:53 during
01:29:54 the whole thing where the lamanites
01:29:57 nominally better than the than the
01:30:00 Nephites sure and interestingly enough
01:30:02 it was just before the first coming
01:30:04 right yes yes I thought I found that
01:30:08 very interesting actually and I’ll be
01:30:10 honest that’s a type for the second
01:30:12 coming
01:30:13 oh yeah but anyways um Jacob chapter
01:30:16 five verses 43-45
01:30:19 and behold this last
01:30:21 whose Branch hath withered away I’d had
01:30:24 planned in a good spot of ground
01:30:26 yay even that which was Choice unto me
01:30:29 above all other parts of the land of my
01:30:32 Vineyard
01:30:33 and thou be heldest that I also cut down
01:30:36 that which cumbered this spot of ground
01:30:40 that I might plant this tree in the
01:30:43 stead thereof
01:30:45 and thou be heldest that a part thereof
01:30:48 brought forth good fruit and a part
01:30:50 thereof brought forth wild fruit and
01:30:54 because I plucked not the branches
01:30:57 thereof and cast them into the fire
01:30:58 behold
01:30:59 they have overcome the good branch and
01:31:02 that it hath withered away so that’s
01:31:05 referring to the destruction of the
01:31:07 nephite
01:31:09 um
01:31:10 yeah the Nephi explain when I say
01:31:11 completely went Wicked right so yeah the
01:31:15 Lehigh’s completely withered away and
01:31:17 they were put on a ground that somebody
01:31:20 was there that was cumbered the
01:31:22 jaredites before
01:31:24 right
01:31:25 and so hopefully that’s obvious if it’s
01:31:27 not obvious we can expound it a little
01:31:29 more but well I think I think it’s
01:31:31 pretty
01:31:32 obviously this is expounding history
01:31:34 it’s prophecy expanding history so one
01:31:37 thing it’s interesting uh after I saw
01:31:39 this I saw something from Wei Mei
01:31:42 uh let me
01:31:45 let me uh sorry I don’t know where I
01:31:49 keep all my notes sometimes oh there we
01:31:50 go oh that makes sense so way Mei uh
01:31:56 in one of his presentations or he’s
01:31:58 probably presented it multiple times
01:31:59 right
01:32:01 um talks about how he was at some
01:32:03 bookstore and he bought a 1907 Book of
01:32:05 Mormon and in it they had footnotes for
01:32:10 these things that I I said pretty much
01:32:13 the same thing with my glyphs
01:32:15 lamanites
01:32:22 interesting the same thing that I’ve
01:32:25 gotten on my own with Yahweh now
01:32:28 I don’t have a 1907 Book of Mormon I do
01:32:32 have a 1900 Book of Mormon I have
01:32:34 confirmed this with
01:32:38 in my own 1900 copy of the book more
01:32:42 I’ve confirmed these
01:32:44 notes that were in Old Book of Mormon
01:32:47 Editions
01:32:49 Jacob five is prophecy which have been
01:32:52 purposefully removed
01:32:55 yes
01:32:57 by a wicked Church
01:32:59 and which show us that it definitely was
01:33:02 North America
01:33:05 amen amen
01:33:11 so all right now that we’ve established
01:33:13 that let me go to my main point I think
01:33:15 uh right now if I can find my
01:33:19 uh is it this one no
01:33:22 no sorry I I have notes but I don’t
01:33:25 remember which one I want sometimes
01:33:29 oh
01:33:33 no it’s here it’s this one here we go
01:33:35 okay so services
01:33:39 oh
01:33:40 so at the end of this chapter it talks
01:33:43 about
01:33:45 good fruit coming back okay
01:33:48 and it’s not just one servant it’s
01:33:51 multiple servants and so it can be a
01:33:53 little confusing
01:33:55 I
01:33:57 [Music]
01:33:57 um
01:34:00 and what I see here and we’ll we’ll go
01:34:02 through the verses in just a minute and
01:34:04 so I’m just going to give a little
01:34:05 insights here I see the mighty one
01:34:08 finishing up
01:34:11 bring people back to Torah that other
01:34:13 people have already
01:34:15 started
01:34:16 okay
01:34:17 he’s gonna finish it up because he’s not
01:34:20 doing this on his own
01:34:22 because in Jacob 5 it says servants not
01:34:26 servant and I believe this is my
01:34:29 personal belief and
01:34:32 somewhat from what I see
01:34:35 um
01:34:36 it’s not just the mining and strong one
01:34:39 and his helper as talked about in second
01:34:41 Nephi three
01:34:42 it is other people also
01:34:46 um and I believe I can get that from
01:34:48 other DNC sections also but that’s
01:34:50 another point but
01:34:53 we can go through in fact
01:34:55 um
01:34:57 do you want to read some Sue
01:35:00 no I suppose okay so maybe let’s start
01:35:04 with this one and we can go through all
01:35:06 of them but these are ones that I’ve
01:35:07 highlighted for myself but we can go
01:35:09 back to the full account if you want
01:35:11 it’s just quicker to find it in my notes
01:35:13 than go through it all but maybe let’s
01:35:17 start with uh verse 61.
01:35:20 wherefore go to and call servants that
01:35:24 we may labor diligently with our might
01:35:27 in the vineyard that we might prepare
01:35:30 the way okay
01:35:32 the way is an illusion to Torah
01:35:38 the way is the way that we’re supposed
01:35:40 to walk
01:35:42 the way that we’re supposed to be so
01:35:45 preparing the ways getting the people
01:35:48 um keeping Torah correct
01:35:52 just like John the Baptist that prepare
01:35:55 ye uh I don’t remember exactly
01:35:59 straight straight yes
01:36:02 the Lord make his path straight you mean
01:36:05 the Pharisees
01:36:07 no they weren’t they were keeping their
01:36:09 oral law uh you’re joking with me there
01:36:12 I saw your face
01:36:18 you almost bit there Stephen I almost
01:36:21 called if it wasn’t for her face she
01:36:24 would have had me
01:36:26 and I have said that so many times I’ve
01:36:30 said that so many times
01:36:31 the Pharisees were not keeping Torah
01:36:34 they were keeping
01:36:36 um they were keeping rabbinical
01:36:38 Traditions
01:36:40 which made the Torah unlivable yeah
01:36:44 correct well Joshua said that yeah
01:36:48 what was that Sue what was that it
01:36:51 masked the meaning of Torah yes yes it
01:36:54 did
01:36:59 which natural fruit is good and the most
01:37:03 precious of all other fruit no I I don’t
01:37:06 have this here but we could go look at
01:37:08 the account and we if you really guys
01:37:10 want to but
01:37:12 the natural fruit was from the beginning
01:37:15 AKA Adam as we talked we just previously
01:37:19 talked about right because Adam had
01:37:22 Torah as Alma 12 brings out
01:37:25 there’s so many different levels on
01:37:27 which two
01:37:29 understand this
01:37:31 yeah
01:37:32 um
01:37:34 so on that point there’s different
01:37:36 angles and there’s different levels and
01:37:38 I think both are appropriate so Mason
01:37:41 put something I can read real quick uh
01:37:44 John 14 6 Yeshua said unto him I am the
01:37:49 way the truth and the life no man cometh
01:37:52 unto the father but by me yes the the
01:37:54 way
01:37:57 um
01:37:58 and he is the law means yes the way has
01:38:02 Illusions both to the law Torah and
01:38:05 Yeshua
01:38:07 um and I think a big part of that is
01:38:10 explained in John 1
01:38:13 um in that
01:38:14 it brings out
01:38:16 that yahshua is the perfect
01:38:19 personification of Torah
01:38:24 thus he is the way he is the our perfect
01:38:28 example of who to be thus if we follow
01:38:33 in his footsteps we will end in we will
01:38:37 be in his place
01:38:40 not necessarily as the Savior but we
01:38:43 will but you know we’ll we’ll be where
01:38:45 he is I I mean save yours on Mount Zion
01:38:49 which means we’re bringing them to the
01:38:52 way but we’re not the way so
01:38:55 do
01:39:05 right and so we will do nothing but what
01:39:10 we have seen or save you do yes and our
01:39:15 savior becomes Our Father
01:39:18 and
01:39:20 there you have it
01:39:23 did you want to say something Mason I
01:39:26 know someone else was speaking up
01:39:28 the only way to truly become all-knowing
01:39:30 is to do exactly what the Savior did
01:39:34 the only way to truly understand and
01:39:36 comprehend everything he didn’t truly
01:39:37 fulfill his mission until he atoned and
01:39:40 achieved the resurrection of the Dead
01:39:43 that’s when he became completely like
01:39:45 the father
01:39:47 and uh and that’s what we have to do at
01:39:51 some point in order to truly be
01:39:53 completely like the father so we can
01:39:55 talk about this a little bit
01:39:57 um but I’d rather maybe next time or
01:40:00 later but right we cannot be a messiah
01:40:06 The Book of Mormon and the Bible teaches
01:40:09 against reincarnation and so we
01:40:13 cannot be a messiah for somebody else
01:40:17 well we are going to have to have
01:40:18 another lesson on that
01:40:20 yeah we’ll we’ll do that definitely
01:40:23 definitely gonna have to have another
01:40:24 lesson on that one okay so yeah um let’s
01:40:27 let’s go back to Jacob five but that
01:40:30 depending how what Mason May mean on
01:40:34 that
01:40:36 um we may need to talk about it more
01:40:37 another time because we’re we’re
01:40:38 sidetracking yeah sorry I didn’t mean to
01:40:40 get those different that’s fine normally
01:40:43 I’m fine with it but I’m trying to stay
01:40:44 more on point this week because of
01:40:47 that’s right
01:40:55 I’m going to let you guys know right now
01:40:58 that it’s almost midnight where I’m at
01:41:00 so I’m gonna have to sign off here soon
01:41:02 stay as long as you can I mean I’ll I’ll
01:41:05 catch back up on whatever I miss uh I’ll
01:41:08 just go in and uh watch the Youtube
01:41:12 video but I got about another good 10
01:41:15 minutes here and then I’m gonna have to
01:41:16 sign out okay uh did you want to say
01:41:19 something Mason
01:41:21 oh no I I have different
01:41:24 understanding of the Book of Mormon from
01:41:25 what I’ve read
01:41:27 um but also the Bible and the doctrine
01:41:29 covenants but you know I’m here to
01:41:31 listen so sure and we can talk more
01:41:34 about that next time so I’m not trying
01:41:36 to shut you off it’s just oh no no I
01:41:38 don’t I don’t think you are no I don’t I
01:41:40 I gain things from everybody so I think
01:41:42 this is great so okay all right
01:41:45 okay so back to Jacob five
01:41:48 um I’ll you want to continue are you
01:41:50 willing to keep reading Sue
01:41:53 okay
01:41:55 Jacob 570 and it came to pass that the
01:41:58 Lord of The Vineyard sent his servant
01:42:00 the servant went and did as the Lord had
01:42:04 commanded him and brought other servants
01:42:07 and they were few
01:42:09 and it came to pass so one thing I I
01:42:12 just want to interject a little bit here
01:42:15 um Yeshua stated in the New Testament
01:42:18 that it will be few who find and keep
01:42:21 the way
01:42:24 and I I just that word few kind of
01:42:27 connects that to me there’s going to be
01:42:29 few who find and keep the way it is the
01:42:33 majority
01:42:34 who will find end love sadly
01:42:39 the wide and vast way versus the
01:42:42 straight and narrow
01:42:44 anyways okay so Jacob way
01:42:47 yeah 72.
01:42:50 and it came to pass that the servants
01:42:52 did go and labor with their might and
01:42:55 the Lord of The Vineyard labored also
01:42:57 with them and they did obey the
01:42:59 Commandments of the lord of the vineyard
01:43:01 in all things well there’s there it is
01:43:04 so
01:43:06 um
01:43:06 when
01:43:08 in Israelite here’s the word
01:43:10 Commandments it takes them back to the
01:43:12 Ten Commandments
01:43:14 now which is Torah and the explanations
01:43:20 of the ten commandments so there’s a
01:43:22 false tradition that there’s 613 laws
01:43:25 it’s false okay
01:43:28 and I haven’t figured this out yet and
01:43:30 I’m sure it has to do with the occult
01:43:32 but the Pharisees and the Sadducees piss
01:43:35 push 613.
01:43:39 and if you ask two rabbis
01:43:42 what those 613 laws are you’ll get three
01:43:45 different lists because
01:43:48 they don’t know in fact that shows that
01:43:51 one Rabbi will give you two different
01:43:53 lists right and that’s from their own
01:43:55 wordings okay I’m not making that up on
01:43:57 my own they say that themselves because
01:44:00 there is not 613. it’s 10 with
01:44:06 explanations Okay so
01:44:09 as a good parent when a child breaks a
01:44:13 law you don’t just give new laws you
01:44:17 help him understand that one law so he
01:44:19 can keep it better
01:44:21 and show him more applications of it so
01:44:24 he can keep it better
01:44:25 well a couple more were given in the
01:44:27 Book of Mormon
01:44:29 especially one
01:44:31 do you have more in mind
01:44:33 we are commanded to awaken to a sense of
01:44:36 our awful situation
01:44:40 um
01:44:43 foreign
01:44:49 yeah I’m aware of that and I’ll have to
01:44:52 think if I could apply that to the 10 or
01:44:54 not so that that’s an interesting point
01:44:56 I I I don’t have a good answer for that
01:44:58 right now I’ll have to think about that
01:44:59 the the thing I haven’t I have a good
01:45:02 answer to that oh go ahead and that is
01:45:06 that
01:45:08 the Lord that is
01:45:11 that um
01:45:14 so here’s my thought you know the the
01:45:16 people of Israel were actually commanded
01:45:18 to watch it we’re actually commanded to
01:45:21 watch their judges and we’re given
01:45:22 judgments and we’re given a law whereby
01:45:25 judges it could be determined that
01:45:27 judges were unjust and could be and
01:45:30 could be put down
01:45:32 and so
01:45:34 that’s actually Within
01:45:36 so here’s my thought
01:45:39 um that’s in the first commandment and
01:45:40 we can go look at the first Commandments
01:45:42 the first commandment brings out how he
01:45:44 brought them out of Egypt
01:45:47 AKA wake up and arise so my thought
01:45:52 right now I think you we can get that
01:45:54 out of the first commandment
01:45:56 then we can go look at the wording of
01:45:58 that if you would like to but it you
01:46:00 know but anyways that’s something just
01:46:04 to think more and we can talk more about
01:46:05 it later thought of it that way
01:46:08 um well I had to think about it so you
01:46:11 you made me think so that’s a good thing
01:46:15 that means you’re a thinker
01:46:19 um no one’s ever asked something like
01:46:20 that but my inclination right now is
01:46:23 that’s the first we can get that from
01:46:25 the first commandment okay but I do
01:46:27 believe the first commandment States
01:46:28 this I am the Lord your God who brought
01:46:31 you up out of the land of Egypt Thou
01:46:34 shalt have no other gods before me
01:46:39 I brought you out of Egypt
01:46:42 awake and arise right
01:46:45 um I I think there there’s more verses
01:46:47 of that so I don’t know if you want to
01:46:48 keep reading there Matt no uh that was
01:46:52 from memory oh okay
01:46:56 of the first commandment sure sure the
01:47:00 first commandment has two or three
01:47:02 verses I don’t remember so but anyways
01:47:04 actually the images the graven images
01:47:10 well anyways
01:47:12 that’s a side note all right yeah
01:47:18 um let’s go to I I think you just did 72
01:47:22 so let’s do 75 which is a key one for me
01:47:25 so I may interrupt you while you’re
01:47:26 reading it okay Sue
01:47:30 you just made it smaller okay no no we
01:47:34 just finished we were getting ready to
01:47:35 start 72 but then you jumped in when uh
01:47:39 when she said and they were few
01:47:43 yet
01:47:44 but what then we read 72 after that yeah
01:47:47 we did read 72 Josh
01:47:49 okay it’s midnight I’m tired
01:47:56 that when the Lord of The Vineyard saw
01:47:59 that his fruit was good and that his
01:48:02 Vineyard was no more corrupt he called
01:48:06 up his servants and said unto them
01:48:08 behold for this last time we have
01:48:11 nourished my Vineyard and thou beholdest
01:48:13 that I have done according to my will
01:48:15 and I have preserved the natural fruit
01:48:17 that is good even like it was in the
01:48:21 beginning okay I’m gonna stop you right
01:48:23 there
01:48:27 there’s multiple points but this one’s a
01:48:30 big point in the beginning
01:48:34 this is why I started with Alma 12.
01:48:38 ammo 12 shows that Adam had Torah from
01:48:41 the beginning the mighty one
01:48:44 will teach people Torah along with
01:48:48 others he will restore you will restore
01:48:52 the fullness of Torah
01:48:54 yeah
01:48:56 which we only got much of
01:49:01 according to
01:49:03 persons by 14 first Nephi 14. no I think
01:49:06 it’s 13. but anyways it’s one of those
01:49:08 we can go find out so so go ahead Sue
01:49:12 well I was listening to a video today
01:49:16 um and it was an interview of a string
01:49:19 Act
01:49:20 historian
01:49:22 and
01:49:24 um he said that
01:49:27 the thing that he said that’s I mean he
01:49:29 said lots and lots of things but he said
01:49:31 that’s something that stood out
01:49:34 um which was that
01:49:37 um string
01:49:39 believed that
01:49:42 um
01:49:43 Joseph was restoring all things as they
01:49:47 were in the beginning
01:49:49 and um he just hadn’t gotten all the way
01:49:52 yet
01:49:54 um and so strain continued that and
01:49:59 um he he took them back to Saturday
01:50:01 worship
01:50:02 and um
01:50:04 of course that’s not lunar right right
01:50:07 that’s off of the Gregorian calendar
01:50:09 which uh actually uh Saturday used to be
01:50:12 the first day of the week and he and
01:50:14 string actually but anyway he was
01:50:16 heading in that direction and he did
01:50:18 things to take them back and he was
01:50:20 going toward Torah
01:50:22 so
01:50:24 um so I would understand why that guy
01:50:26 would say that and I know who you’re
01:50:28 talking about but what I know a string
01:50:30 that is false because straying actually
01:50:35 created a holiday based only on the sun
01:50:40 and not the Sun and the Moon as said in
01:50:42 Genesis 1 14 and 16. string also his
01:50:48 supposed
01:50:49 translation of the law or the book of
01:50:53 the law
01:50:56 contradicts Torah
01:50:58 I’ve read it you can go read it online a
01:51:01 string also started
01:51:04 practicing and then preaching polygamy
01:51:07 which Torah speaks against and Jacob two
01:51:10 and pretty much the whole Book of
01:51:12 Mormons against
01:51:14 so I understand why the guy states that
01:51:18 and I’ve tried to interact with them
01:51:20 because there is one thing that Strang
01:51:22 taught that I do believe
01:51:24 that
01:51:26 the father of the Messiah is Joseph this
01:51:30 husband of Mary I do believe that
01:51:34 and that I’m sidetracking this a little
01:51:36 bit and we can look at that and I have
01:51:37 resources for that but I do believe him
01:51:40 on that but other things no and I I’ve
01:51:43 tried to open a dialogue with that
01:51:47 historian are you sick
01:51:51 um on that subject but he didn’t want to
01:51:54 um but anyways that’s a whole other
01:51:55 subject
01:51:56 um I I just yeah I wasn’t interested in
01:51:59 strength the point is is that
01:52:02 Strang said that Joseph’s Direction was
01:52:05 to restore things as they were in the
01:52:08 beginning piece by piece
01:52:09 I haven’t listened to the interview yet
01:52:11 it’s on my to do to listen but I I know
01:52:15 the guy that you’re you’re talking about
01:52:17 um and I and I and honestly though I
01:52:20 actually in terms of
01:52:22 in terms of the content of what he was
01:52:24 saying that strength said I would
01:52:26 believe that
01:52:27 that Joseph was called
01:52:29 on a certain level to he he was called
01:52:32 to bring back Torah I don’t know how
01:52:34 much that he understood
01:52:36 yeah uh well a lot of things that we see
01:52:40 in the DNC are actually
01:52:43 um either Torah or explanations or
01:52:45 another
01:52:48 how to apply Tor in today’s
01:52:51 circumstances so I do agree with that
01:52:54 specific statement
01:52:55 I disagree with string on mentally
01:52:58 things
01:53:01 uh as I listed a couple off my head
01:53:03 right
01:53:04 um because I I’ve looked into them but I
01:53:06 I did also say one thing I do like from
01:53:09 him that is controversial and I agree
01:53:11 with him which I can’t prove it
01:53:14 I tend to believe he got that from
01:53:17 Joseph Smith but I don’t know of a
01:53:19 written record where it’s tied to Joseph
01:53:22 Smith
01:53:23 so it’s a personal belief he got it from
01:53:25 Joseph Smith I can’t prove it but that’s
01:53:28 a whole other subject
01:53:30 um of full of controversy
01:53:34 full of controversies yeah but so the
01:53:38 big thing here is
01:53:41 and we can finish it off I’ll just
01:53:43 finish the verse real quick and blessed
01:53:44 art thou for because you have been
01:53:46 diligent and laboring with me in my
01:53:49 Vineyard and have kept my Commandments
01:53:51 oh look at that and brought unto me
01:53:54 again the natural fruit which is Torah
01:53:57 that my Vineyard is no more corrupt
01:54:02 and the bad is cast away and put into
01:54:05 the fire I mean it doesn’t say here but
01:54:07 it does other places behold you shall
01:54:09 have joy
01:54:11 can you see four with me because of the
01:54:14 fruit of my Vineyard but the key thing
01:54:17 here in this verse
01:54:20 is in the beginning as with Adam
01:54:25 that is good even like it was
01:54:28 yeah and we could go read the beginning
01:54:30 of Jacob five and it’s it’s Torah and
01:54:34 that and that just brings back to the
01:54:36 point that I like to harp on and that is
01:54:40 God is an unchanging God
01:54:42 his ways
01:54:45 are as well
01:54:47 his ways are as one Eternal route
01:54:50 yeah that never does he vary never does
01:54:53 he turn from the right to the left
01:54:55 his ways
01:54:58 are constant
01:54:59 we can count on them
01:55:02 he hasn’t changed
01:55:04 his law
01:55:06 and I know seven verses that I expound
01:55:09 in this post
01:55:11 um about his internal ways
01:55:14 uh
01:55:16 uh okay so
01:55:18 um
01:55:19 I want to do a little more
01:55:21 let me get it ready I I have an
01:55:24 unfinished post
01:55:25 you’ve never heard me say that
01:55:27 [Laughter]
01:55:31 um I’m I’m horrible
01:55:34 I
01:55:37 problem is
01:55:39 I I see things that come up that I want
01:55:43 to help people with and I write a post
01:55:45 and then I just get into too many
01:55:46 details in the post takes forever so
01:55:50 I have a post I I’m calling here’s the
01:55:54 title brass Prince prophecy Kaizen
01:55:56 because it it Alma 37
01:56:00 at the beginning of it for 20 verses
01:56:03 actually has a properly
01:56:07 that
01:56:09 whatever’s on the brass plate and if you
01:56:12 believe first meet by one
01:56:14 it’s pretty much our Old Testament up to
01:56:18 Jeremiah with some of Jeremiah in it
01:56:22 um
01:56:23 along with some things that
01:56:26 that’s not in the Old Testament slash
01:56:28 Tanakh like Zenith and
01:56:31 oh no what’s the other guy’s name zorum
01:56:35 known the xenoc yeah sorry
01:56:39 um those prophets in addition and
01:56:41 probably some others right but
01:56:45 I don’t think there’s any question
01:56:48 or valid question about the people in
01:56:51 the Old Testament Tanakh that
01:56:55 the law that they followed to know what
01:56:57 was right and wrong was Torah right
01:57:02 so the prophecy in Alma 37 which is I I
01:57:07 here’s a chiism for it and we could I
01:57:10 don’t know what which one but we could
01:57:13 find it if we need to
01:57:15 states that I guess I don’t mean to I
01:57:17 don’t mean to interrupt I’m gonna have
01:57:18 to sign out here okay all right good
01:57:21 night Josh hope you have a good one good
01:57:23 night it’s been a pleasure as always
01:57:25 yeah I’m glad you enjoy
01:57:28 um
01:57:31 the big part of it is that
01:57:36 the brass plate is coming back and it
01:57:38 will bring people to repentance
01:57:41 so
01:57:43 I I personally believe it’s going to be
01:57:46 the mighty and strong one who’s gonna
01:57:48 um translate that
01:57:51 the record doesn’t actually State it’s
01:57:54 going to be the mighty and strong one
01:57:55 but for me it makes sense okay
01:57:58 um so that one is some speculation but
01:58:01 the part that is not speculation is that
01:58:04 it’s coming
01:58:05 did you want to say something
01:58:07 yeah is what’s on the is is what’s in
01:58:10 black and white
01:58:12 sure what’s in black and white is that
01:58:15 it’s going to be translated
01:58:18 and it’s going to bring people back to
01:58:20 repentance
01:58:21 now if Tor is not valid anymore
01:58:25 why would a book that points people to
01:58:29 Torah bring people back to repentance
01:58:36 it wouldn’t
01:58:38 this is showing that Torah is still
01:58:41 valid Alma 37 is a prophecy of the brass
01:58:46 plates
01:58:48 coming back
01:58:51 and
01:58:53 showing that people will repent
01:58:55 because of what’s in it
01:58:58 um
01:59:00 so
01:59:03 yeah do you want to
01:59:05 that one
01:59:07 I don’t think that’s related to the
01:59:09 subject at hand missing so that’s
01:59:11 probably why he said no need to comment
01:59:12 and now I’m commenting so sorry about
01:59:14 that I’m just trying to stay on top of
01:59:16 comments
01:59:18 um and I can’t do both at the same time
01:59:21 so
01:59:23 um
01:59:24 if Tor is not valid why is the brass
01:59:27 plates which teaches Torah gonna bring
01:59:29 people re to repentance in the last days
01:59:34 it you can’t get around that okay
01:59:39 now how do you know what the
01:59:41 breastplates teach
01:59:44 um well we can go back to first Nephi
01:59:47 one
01:59:48 um we don’t I think it’s first neat by
01:59:50 one right
01:59:52 my Nephi having been born of goodly
01:59:55 parents I was taught therefore in all
01:59:57 the ways after they retrieved the brass
01:59:59 plates it gives a record of what’s
02:00:01 written on them genealogy of their
02:00:04 forefathers the teachings of things
02:00:07 that’s fine that’s in five yeah
02:00:10 yes firstly by chapter five all right
02:00:12 all right so I remember the chapter
02:00:14 wrong
02:00:15 no it’s all good yeah I’m just reminding
02:00:18 I’m I’m here
02:00:20 and after they hit let’s go down to 10
02:00:23 or 10 okay
02:00:26 okay after they’ve given thanks unto the
02:00:29 Lord God of Israel my father Lehi took
02:00:31 the records which were engraving upon
02:00:33 the plates of great plates of grass and
02:00:36 he did search them from the beginning so
02:00:37 here we’re about to find out
02:00:40 some of the things that are on the
02:00:41 Plate’s brass at the beginning I think
02:00:44 is also a good point as from Adam
02:00:48 yeah well yes and it’s also from the
02:00:51 beginning of the place
02:00:53 and he beheld that he that they did
02:00:56 contain the five books of Moses which
02:00:59 goes from the beginning M which gave an
02:01:02 account of the creation of the world and
02:01:04 also of Adam and Eve who were our first
02:01:06 parents and also a record of the Jews
02:01:08 from the beginning even down to the
02:01:10 commencement of the reign of zedekiah
02:01:12 King Judah
02:01:14 and also the prophecies right
02:01:17 yeah
02:01:18 and also the Prophecies of the Holy
02:01:20 prophets from the beginning even down to
02:01:22 the commencement of the reign of
02:01:24 zedekiah and also many prophecies which
02:01:27 have been spoken by the mouth of
02:01:28 Jeremiah
02:01:30 in other words they are the originals of
02:01:33 the Bible
02:01:35 basically basically yes yeah the Old
02:01:38 Testament
02:01:39 which we get pretty cool which we which
02:01:42 I think we get pretty close to with the
02:01:43 Joseph Smith translation
02:01:45 right
02:01:47 um not everything because for at least
02:01:49 two that we know of from The Book of
02:01:51 Mormon uh they’re not even there
02:01:55 but but the jst gets us closer now I I
02:02:00 will say this on the jst I believe in
02:02:03 the jst
02:02:04 um I don’t think he did everything in
02:02:07 the Bible
02:02:08 in the Tanakh or the New Testament
02:02:11 well I I do think he focused on things
02:02:14 that he knew would be very important for
02:02:17 us today
02:02:18 to help us stay on the straight and
02:02:20 narrow
02:02:22 um yeah yeah
02:02:24 and they uh yeah yeah I can see that
02:02:26 yeah I didn’t do whatever I mean it’s
02:02:29 pretty obvious when you go when you
02:02:31 actually sit down with it
02:02:33 he didn’t touch everything that he
02:02:35 didn’t touch every section
02:02:37 um but even the reading through the DNC
02:02:40 shows he didn’t do every section but
02:02:43 anyways that’s another side point yep
02:02:46 but so this is actually that so that
02:02:49 right there is actually what’s in the
02:02:51 plates of brass well it looks like 14
02:02:53 says a little more right genealogy and
02:02:56 it came to pass it my father Lehigh also
02:02:57 found in the upon the plates of brass
02:02:59 the genealogy of his fathers
02:03:02 wherefore he knew he was a descendant of
02:03:04 Joseph even that Joseph who was the son
02:03:06 of Jacob who sold into Egypt who was
02:03:08 preserved by the name of the Lord that
02:03:10 he might preserve his father Jacob in
02:03:12 all his household with from perishing
02:03:13 the famine
02:03:15 and they were also LED out and they were
02:03:17 also let out of captivity and out of the
02:03:19 land of Egypt by that same God who had
02:03:20 preserved them and thus my father Lehigh
02:03:23 to discover the genealogy of his fathers
02:03:25 and Laban was also attended to Joseph
02:03:26 and these plates of fresh okay and now
02:03:29 my father saw these things
02:03:30 is a reiteration of Alma 37 okay
02:03:35 yeah it’s a summary about basically
02:03:38 what’s said now the 37 1-20
02:03:41 the wherefore he said that these plates
02:03:43 of brass should never perish or should
02:03:46 they be dimmed anymore by time oh yeah
02:03:48 that was in 37 1 through 20. he
02:03:51 prophesied many things concerning his C
02:03:52 well the main thing is that these plates
02:03:55 of brass should go forth unto all
02:03:57 nations Kindred tongues and people who
02:03:59 were of his seed that hasn’t happened
02:04:01 yet
02:04:04 and that means it needs to be translated
02:04:07 in my opinion but anyways it it’s yeah
02:04:10 so yeah so yeah the uh yeah I can yeah
02:04:14 the Joseph Smith translations a good
02:04:17 it’s still a good resource but it’s not
02:04:19 the place
02:04:20 correct but um
02:04:22 but it does but it does give us a
02:04:26 greater understanding and as I have read
02:04:29 the Joseph Smith translation Joseph
02:04:32 Smith translation is more pro-law
02:04:37 is more for the law
02:04:40 more for obedience to the law than um
02:04:45 than the King James version and the King
02:04:47 James version which was written or
02:04:50 translated partly by Masons but anyways
02:04:52 that’s all numbers yeah so this is this
02:04:56 is just this is just one of the things
02:04:57 that I’ve noticed as I’ve read as I’ve
02:04:59 read the as I’ve read the Joseph Smith
02:05:01 translation uh I would agree with that
02:05:03 statement
02:05:05 um and it actually really it actually
02:05:07 really expounds a lot of the judgments
02:05:09 especially circumcision but
02:05:13 um
02:05:15 yeah we’re gonna have to go over what
02:05:16 you found on that another yeah
02:05:19 um yeah so yeah but that but that’s
02:05:21 that’s what’s in that’s what’s in the
02:05:23 brass place
02:05:24 they gave us a preview
02:05:27 yes and go get those and we’ll get those
02:05:29 plates we’ll get those and we’ll get
02:05:33 those plates eventually but we’re good
02:05:36 um
02:05:38 is the bring out first five books of
02:05:42 Moses that’s where Torah is contained
02:05:45 right and Emma 37 brings out people were
02:05:48 real repent because of what’s written on
02:05:52 there
02:05:53 and the rest of it is bringing people
02:05:56 back to these five
02:05:58 foreign
02:06:01 the prophets
02:06:03 people the prophets quote Torah
02:06:06 endlessly
02:06:08 yeah most people don’t notice it because
02:06:11 they don’t study Torah
02:06:15 and if you don’t study it you’re not
02:06:16 going to know when someone’s quoting it
02:06:18 right so it’s
02:06:22 it’s pretty simple okay so you’re
02:06:25 talking about the Old Testament
02:06:27 yeah Tanaka is the Old Testament
02:06:30 it’s the Hebrew way of saying the Old
02:06:32 Testament
02:06:36 so sometimes I’ll say Old Testament
02:06:38 slash Tanakh it’s it’s the same thing
02:06:40 just a different label
02:06:45 okay
02:06:46 so it’s the Hebrew understanding of the
02:06:49 Old Testament
02:06:50 no it’s not the understanding it’s just
02:06:52 the way of saying it
02:06:54 um a different type it’s a different
02:06:56 word for the same thing yeah
02:06:59 there’s a different title
02:07:01 for it
02:07:03 okay all right all right yeah so tanak
02:07:09 stands for Torah
02:07:11 uh prophet and writings
02:07:14 yeah three the three parts of the Old
02:07:16 Testament a side note and I get this I
02:07:22 talk about this in a post I haven’t
02:07:23 finished but back in
02:07:25 um Nephi’s day it was two sections Tor
02:07:28 and the prophets
02:07:30 in fact I would almost even speculate
02:07:32 that was in
02:07:34 uh yeshua’s day also because
02:07:39 Jesus Joshua talks about the law and the
02:07:42 prophets he doesn’t say the writings and
02:07:45 same with
02:07:46 um Nephi Nephi says the law and the
02:07:49 prophets not the writings because the
02:07:52 writings
02:07:53 and you know if you go look in history
02:07:56 on this
02:07:57 it actually was that way historically
02:08:01 it’s just later on the the Sadducees and
02:08:04 the Pharisees or the Jews who took over
02:08:07 separated the prophets and the writings
02:08:09 into another section it was not always
02:08:12 that way and when you read the book of
02:08:14 Mormon it
02:08:15 it only has the prophets not prophets
02:08:17 and writings because that’s actually how
02:08:19 it was when
02:08:21 Lehi left
02:08:24 could not have known that
02:08:27 but anyways
02:08:29 yeah the the Psalms are actually
02:08:32 prophetic yes they are showing it’s
02:08:35 coming from a prophet David was a
02:08:38 prophet
02:08:42 um but that’s a whole other subject
02:08:45 um yeah so
02:08:48 um I also so Malachi 4. is an
02:08:53 interesting prophecy
02:08:56 um
02:08:57 which connects with Jacob five actually
02:09:00 so I want to segue into that a little
02:09:02 bit
02:09:03 um unless you had another question Sue
02:09:06 on that
02:09:10 no okay so I think
02:09:12 no that’s not one it
02:09:15 no
02:09:16 Doctrine and Covenant section two Okay
02:09:19 so
02:09:21 this is Malachi 4.
02:09:23 um
02:09:25 and so this is also in the Book of
02:09:27 Mormon oh I forget which it’s 35
02:09:30 something
02:09:38 [Music]
02:09:40 25 yeah okay yeah just so people see see
02:09:45 Malachi 4 but I want to use this one
02:09:48 ah
02:09:50 so
02:09:53 my understanding of why
02:09:57 35 is different than dnc2
02:10:02 is because the printer
02:10:06 who printed the Book of Mormon who I
02:10:08 forget his name all the time Brandon
02:10:10 yeah he did not always go off of the
02:10:13 manuscripts that he was given to do the
02:10:15 printing and Royal skousen has a lot of
02:10:18 research that so shows that okay in fact
02:10:22 there’s a lot of research for it shows
02:10:25 what the printer’s manuscript it stays
02:10:28 and what the book 1830 Book of Mormon
02:10:30 States and it’s different showing that
02:10:33 the printer didn’t always follow what he
02:10:37 was supposed to do
02:10:43 so when you go look at the manuscripts
02:10:46 it had no punctuations in it
02:10:49 and so
02:10:51 he got a little lazy sometimes instead
02:10:53 of punctuating himself he saw when he
02:10:56 noticed it was
02:10:58 the same he went to the King James Bible
02:11:01 because it was easier to look at the
02:11:03 punctuation that was there instead of
02:11:05 the manuscripts and you and skousen has
02:11:08 brought that out with his
02:11:10 30 years of research of the manuscripts
02:11:14 so
02:11:15 um
02:11:16 I believe Malachi 4 is one of those
02:11:19 instances because dnc2
02:11:23 is Moroni quoting Malachi 4 to Joseph
02:11:27 Smith
02:11:29 um during that visit in the bedroom
02:11:32 right
02:11:34 um
02:11:34 which is just FYI people say well
02:11:39 Joseph Smith see Moroni when nobody else
02:11:42 saw him well let’s look at Paul
02:11:46 only Paul saw the vision and the
02:11:53 um on the road on the road
02:11:55 to
02:11:56 Damascus Damascus
02:11:59 but he had other people with him um
02:12:03 Temple guards I think it was right I
02:12:05 think that’s the term that was used
02:12:06 Temple guards
02:12:08 um they did not see the vision that Paul
02:12:11 had and they were right there so
02:12:14 if you have a problem with
02:12:16 Joseph Smith singing Division and not
02:12:18 his siblings in the bed do you have a
02:12:20 problem with Paul seeing the vision and
02:12:23 not the temple guards
02:12:26 all right
02:12:28 go learn your Bible people anyways just
02:12:31 talking to people who uh
02:12:33 or have a problem with this situation
02:12:35 but so
02:12:38 Malachi 4 is a prophecy of the mighty
02:12:42 and strong one okay another term for
02:12:45 that is
02:12:47 Elijah
02:12:48 John the Baptist who prepared the world
02:12:51 at that time
02:12:53 for yeshua’s first coming
02:12:57 stated that he was an Elijah right and I
02:13:01 I have a jst
02:13:03 let’s go to the NF AST real quick
02:13:07 or no Elias sorry
02:13:10 um I get those two mixed up
02:13:19 so jst John 1 21 and he confessed John
02:13:24 the Baptist and denied not that he was
02:13:26 the alliance but confessing I am not the
02:13:28 Messiah
02:13:30 yes so
02:13:33 back to this
02:13:36 this is a prophecy
02:13:40 about the mighty and strong one in my
02:13:42 opinion
02:13:43 um
02:13:46 that
02:13:48 well
02:13:51 this is Elijah and that’s a forerunner
02:13:53 so maybe I’m
02:13:56 I need to learn
02:13:57 terms better but
02:14:00 um the main thing is that whoever this
02:14:04 is either it’s the Forerunner or the
02:14:06 mighty one I’ve been inclined in the
02:14:08 past to be the mighty one but this just
02:14:09 says Elijah which is the Forerunner
02:14:13 um but he shall plant in the hearts of
02:14:17 the children the promises made to the
02:14:19 fathers
02:14:20 now this is different than in the King
02:14:24 James Malachi for that the LDS
02:14:27 brighamite church uses to promote
02:14:30 um work for the dead
02:14:32 but here it states
02:14:34 he shall plant in the hearts of the
02:14:37 promises made to the fathers which is
02:14:40 contained within Torah
02:14:45 we get promises
02:14:48 when we keep yahweh’s law now there’s a
02:14:52 DNC section and Isaiah also talks about
02:14:55 this that
02:14:57 um
02:14:58 when we keep yahweh’s law
02:15:01 we are able to
02:15:04 I’m trying to think of the word
02:15:07 rely up that’s not the word but that’s
02:15:10 what I’m going to use we can rely upon
02:15:11 the promises of Yahweh but if we don’t
02:15:14 keep his word his law we cannot rely
02:15:17 upon his promises right
02:15:20 so to get the promises you have to keep
02:15:23 the law and Yahweh makes this thing
02:15:26 Promises to the followers as to everyone
02:15:29 else
02:15:30 in fact you’ll see this even with in the
02:15:32 Book of Mormon when talking about
02:15:35 keeping the plates to convert their
02:15:38 brethren in the future
02:15:40 all right I they the playkeepers keep
02:15:44 praying for the same promise that the
02:15:47 lamanites will accept the teachings
02:15:50 thereon
02:15:52 they’re praying for the promise that was
02:15:55 already given
02:15:58 it’s not something new and the hearts of
02:16:01 the children will turn to their fathers
02:16:04 so
02:16:06 they’ll look at what their fathers did
02:16:09 they’ll look at the characters that the
02:16:11 the fathers had they’ll look at the
02:16:13 attributes that the fathers had they
02:16:16 want to learn from their fathers and
02:16:19 what did their fathers teach their
02:16:21 fathers taught Torah
02:16:26 especially when this was given Malachi 4
02:16:29 there’s no question what was taught then
02:16:33 Torah because that was long before
02:16:37 I think 400 years give or take if I
02:16:40 remember correctly
02:16:42 um before yeshua’s death and
02:16:45 Resurrection right actually this was uh
02:16:47 Lehigh was 600 years before yes was
02:16:50 death in a resurrection Elijah was
02:16:52 before it was uh before Lehigh right but
02:16:56 when
02:16:57 um
02:16:58 Malachi four but one yesterday oh yeah
02:17:01 Malachi Malachi 3 and 4 to the Nephites
02:17:05 he says this is something that the
02:17:07 father wants you to have yeah Malachi
02:17:10 you’re right you’re right Malachi is 400
02:17:12 about 400 years an interesting thing is
02:17:16 uh for
02:17:19 440 and I will say 400
02:17:21 points to a testing time
02:17:25 they had the profits they had the
02:17:27 teachings now they’re going to be tested
02:17:30 anyways
02:17:32 um in fact on that point The Book of
02:17:35 Mormon started 600 years before Christ
02:17:39 men has 6 000 years for
02:17:43 to have Torah here they have but anyways
02:17:46 we’re I’m getting I’m sidetracking us
02:17:49 um okay so the last part if it were not
02:17:52 so
02:17:53 as in if people did not turn back to
02:17:56 Torah
02:17:57 the whole earth or all the people would
02:18:00 be utterly just destroyed wasted at his
02:18:04 coming
02:18:06 because Second Coming
02:18:08 is it the great and Dreadful day it is a
02:18:12 day of judgment
02:18:14 if you’re sinning
02:18:16 you will be punished you will be burned
02:18:19 you will be stoned as the law delineates
02:18:23 will happen and should happen
02:18:27 just like Sodom and Gomorrah were
02:18:28 stopped yes and that is a foreshadow of
02:18:31 the second coming
02:18:33 um
02:18:36 so it would now be a good time to bring
02:18:38 up uh first Nephi 19 23.
02:18:41 I think you mean first name by nine
02:18:44 um
02:18:45 I mean 19. he went what he said okay
02:18:49 first Nephi 19. okay
02:18:51 um sure
02:18:52 because because this
02:18:56 shows us how we’re
02:18:59 this shows us how we’re to read the
02:19:01 scriptures yeah okay
02:19:04 verse 23 okay
02:19:08 and I did read many things unto them
02:19:11 which were written in the Books of Moses
02:19:13 hey AKA Torah
02:19:16 or but that I might or is taught
02:19:19 but that I might more fully persuade
02:19:21 them to believe in the Lord their
02:19:23 redeemer so this so the
02:19:26 the the Moses persuades us to believe
02:19:29 the prophets persuade his full even more
02:19:32 fully to believe in the Lord their
02:19:33 redeemer I’m just going to Sidetrack
02:19:36 just a little bit on that to give more
02:19:37 emphasis to that one point and then
02:19:39 we’ll go back okay okay
02:19:43 um
02:19:44 let’s see
02:19:47 this one
02:19:54 behold
02:19:55 so this is uh mosiah 13 33 for behold
02:20:00 did not Moses prophesy unto them
02:20:03 concerning the coming of the Messiah
02:20:05 that Elohim should re-ellow him to
02:20:09 redeem his people
02:20:10 yay even all the prophets who have
02:20:13 prophesied ever since the world began
02:20:15 they have not spoken more or less than
02:20:18 these things meaning that is the focus
02:20:21 of what the prophets taught
02:20:25 so I’ll go back anyway
02:20:28 um so back to 1923
02:20:32 okay
02:20:34 uh that which is written I did read unto
02:20:38 them that which is written by the
02:20:39 prophet Isaiah for I did like in all
02:20:42 scriptures onto us
02:20:45 that it might be for our prophet and
02:20:47 burning Okay so
02:20:51 this came to me
02:20:53 as I was looking at this
02:20:55 uh a few days ago
02:20:59 um
02:21:00 that like any as I was looking at like
02:21:02 in all scriptures onto us that’s what
02:21:04 we’re supposed to do we are supposed to
02:21:06 read the scriptures
02:21:08 the Commandments within scripture
02:21:11 as though they were given to us
02:21:14 personally
02:21:16 yeah and this
02:21:19 and this is what makes the scriptures
02:21:22 profitable for our learning is when we
02:21:26 read them not as something that was said
02:21:29 a while ago to people who were into
02:21:33 these people or those people that when
02:21:35 we agree in a different times and so
02:21:37 they needed a different law
02:21:40 it’s but when we read the law when we
02:21:44 read the Commandments within the
02:21:45 scriptures as if they were given to us
02:21:49 each of us individually as we’re reading
02:21:53 them
02:21:54 personally
02:21:55 yes and I think one thing on Isaiah
02:21:58 because I know a lot of people like
02:22:00 reading Isaiah but Isaiah brings out
02:22:04 Torah more than most will recognize
02:22:08 because they don’t study Taurus so they
02:22:10 wouldn’t recognize it when they see it
02:22:11 right but he reiterates Torah a lot the
02:22:15 prophet Isaiah
02:22:19 so yeah
02:22:23 already done and so and so that’s
02:22:27 this is how we’re I mean this is just
02:22:30 this is how we turn the scriptures for
02:22:32 our
02:22:33 this is how we turn the scriptures for
02:22:35 our prophet and wine so on that point
02:22:38 um
02:22:39 what does a profit of man if he gains
02:22:43 the whole world and loses his soul now
02:22:46 that Joshua stating that in the New
02:22:49 Testament
02:22:50 and what is it that makes us lose our
02:22:52 soul
02:22:53 aka the second death aka the spiritual
02:22:56 death it’s sinning
02:22:59 which the law has Paul push it
02:23:03 or puts it or teaches the law teaches us
02:23:08 what sin is
02:23:10 as in he didn’t recognize his own sins
02:23:14 until he had the law it’s not that the
02:23:17 law made him sin the law helped him
02:23:19 recognize his sin so he could then
02:23:22 change it
02:23:24 repent
02:23:26 AKA repent
02:23:29 which repent
02:23:32 means returning to the law
02:23:38 so yeah so that was that was something
02:23:41 that came to me as I was going through
02:23:43 that
02:23:43 as I was going through uh
02:23:47 first Nephi 19.
02:23:50 a few days ago
02:23:53 just in I think that fits right
02:23:56 perfectly in with what we just brought
02:23:59 out from
02:24:01 what the mining strong one’s going to do
02:24:02 right and and those so yeah so we need
02:24:06 you know we need to look
02:24:12 we need to
02:24:15 if we’re going to gain anything from the
02:24:17 scriptures we have to look at them as a
02:24:18 personal communication
02:24:20 yeah
02:24:22 in addition to that if you think the way
02:24:26 of applying scriptures is taking the
02:24:28 negative ones and applying to everybody
02:24:30 else and playing the positive ones to
02:24:32 yourself
02:24:34 you’re going to miss a big part of the
02:24:36 Gospel the gospel is about becoming
02:24:42 like Yeshua Jesus which means changing
02:24:46 who we are now to conform to with who he
02:24:50 is to the pattern
02:24:52 to the pattern that he set for us
02:24:55 by walking perfectly in Torah
02:24:59 blameless in humility before
02:25:06 God yeah
02:25:10 keeping the law won’t save us because we
02:25:12 all have sinned and even one little sin
02:25:17 we deserve death
02:25:21 but
02:25:23 because yeshua’s atonement in Breaking
02:25:25 the bands of death
02:25:28 and
02:25:31 our broken heart and contract spirit
02:25:34 which means that we’ve repented and
02:25:36 returned to the law
02:25:38 we can be Sanctified and have written
02:25:41 and have written that law upon
02:25:45 ranch right
02:25:46 which is sanctification
02:25:50 you can’t be Sanctified without the law
02:25:53 in fact you can’t be justified without
02:25:55 the law
02:25:56 foreign
02:26:00 okay
02:26:02 um
02:26:04 well first of all
02:26:06 um the way that I’ve heard it put in the
02:26:08 past is that we liken all scriptures
02:26:10 unto ourselves
02:26:14 um secondly if I can remember now
02:26:19 um
02:26:26 I can’t
02:26:28 write this thing just right before this
02:26:33 um
02:26:36 well I I maybe can restate some things
02:26:39 if you think it’ll help you remember if
02:26:42 you want yeah restate a couple sentences
02:26:44 back so
02:26:46 the the law
02:26:48 Yeshua is the perfect personification of
02:26:51 the law he showed us how to keep the law
02:26:55 he
02:26:57 kept the law perfectly as an example to
02:27:01 show us how
02:27:02 to do it he did not except he gave the
02:27:06 he gave the um
02:27:11 um
02:27:12 the apostles the ability to eat
02:27:16 and to pick to pick um
02:27:20 food and eat
02:27:23 on the Sabbath when they were hungry
02:27:27 that didn’t break the law as a lot of
02:27:30 people will teach that’s actually in the
02:27:33 law that they could do that so I
02:27:35 understand why you would think that but
02:27:37 when you go well the Pharisees thought
02:27:39 that yeah the Pharisees thought that the
02:27:42 Pharisees added to the law which we’re
02:27:44 told not to but when
02:27:48 did you want to say something Matt
02:27:51 yeah
02:27:52 oh okay
02:27:54 um it is actually according to the law
02:27:57 that they could do that on the Sabbath
02:27:59 um and I can give you a good resource
02:28:02 from 119 Ministries that actually where
02:28:04 I learned it from
02:28:06 um but they actually go back to the law
02:28:08 and talk about
02:28:10 um the different terms that are used for
02:28:13 um
02:28:14 foreign
02:28:15 Gathering and harvesting I I don’t
02:28:18 remember the exact words because it’s
02:28:19 been a little bit but they didn’t
02:28:21 Harvest because harvesting which is you
02:28:25 know saving it for another time that’s
02:28:28 against the law but just taking some
02:28:31 gleaning they gleaned that’s the word
02:28:33 gleaning is actually allowed in the law
02:28:37 on the Sabbath because you just take a
02:28:39 little bit for you right then to eat
02:28:42 right then as you’re doing it and that’s
02:28:45 what they did they gleaned it and that
02:28:48 is okay according to the law on the
02:28:50 Sabbath
02:28:51 there’s actually a video on that which
02:28:53 uh
02:28:55 yeah I’ll find it and give it to you
02:28:57 soon
02:28:58 um I I uh let me tick my one notes on
02:29:01 Sabbath because I may have it there
02:29:04 okay so um and and that then healing on
02:29:08 the Sabbath was another thing that there
02:29:10 wasn’t any law against that there was no
02:29:12 law against that they they that was
02:29:14 completely oral law
02:29:18 well they were just saying that healing
02:29:20 was his work and therefore he couldn’t
02:29:22 do that on the Sabbath
02:29:26 um so I believe this is
02:29:32 the one from 119 Ministries that brings
02:29:35 ah sometimes one note makes it when I
02:29:39 paste the pages that is picture instead
02:29:41 of text I I don’t know why it does that
02:29:43 but anyways there’s the text there you
02:29:46 go
02:29:48 um I believe it’s that one
02:29:52 um let’s go let me go double check but
02:29:54 one of those references
02:29:56 because uh Matthew 12
02:30:01 see if I give you the right one
02:30:05 yep Jesus proclaims himself Lord of this
02:30:07 up yeah you did yeah yeah because that’s
02:30:09 the decline yourself the Lord has the
02:30:11 same time that they did the gleaming and
02:30:14 that’s a technical term I’m hopefully
02:30:17 I’m remembering the technical term
02:30:18 correctly go watch that yeah that is
02:30:21 correcting is correct that’s why I
02:30:23 learned that’s the video I learned that
02:30:24 from the the law was not changed they
02:30:27 were doing things according to the law
02:30:29 but when you don’t know the law or you
02:30:31 think you know it and you really don’t I
02:30:33 could see why some people think that he
02:30:35 changed it but he didn’t
02:30:37 yeah that’s no change of the law
02:30:40 uh and there’s no law there is
02:30:43 absolutely nothing
02:30:45 in the first five books of Moses that
02:30:49 forbids healing on the Sabbath
02:30:52 no this is just an example of the
02:30:55 Sadducees and Pharisees adding the law
02:30:57 despite the law actually stating not to
02:31:00 do that
02:31:02 um it’s in Deuteronomy I forget what
02:31:05 where but I am and we can go find it if
02:31:07 you’re really worried about it
02:31:09 so yeah there is in terms of the law
02:31:12 that was delivered from the Lord there
02:31:14 is absolutely nothing against
02:31:16 it no there’s not
02:31:20 in fact it gave place for it
02:31:22 um so anyways I’m going to pause for a
02:31:27 minute okay
