Basic Unit of Society

What is the basic unit of society? The LDS / Brighamite church, which I grew up in, would like everyone to believe it is the family. Don’t get me wrong, family is very important for individuals and society, but it is not the basic unit of society.

After I removed my name from the LDS / Brighamite church, the second time YHWH who is Yeshua / Jesus told me to remove it. Yes, I said the second time. The first time, I let some friends talk me out of doing what YHWH Elohim told me to do. The biggest reason they shared is because of how your family and friends, who are members, will treat you after you do it. This being an example of why the family is not the basic unit of society. This is not unique to the LDS / Brighamite church. Most churches do this. After I removed my name from the LDS / Brighamite church my desire to understand the gospel and His way of living life, which is known as Torah – which is different than the law of Moses – grew. As I kept what Yeshua / Jesus was teaching me through His Holy written word, even when it was hard, my depth of conviction and understanding increased. One of these insights YHWH gave me is that the basic unit of society is not the family. It is instead our individual relationship with Him, or in other words faith in Him, the atonement, the resurrection, and His Torah. Torah is His instructions how to become like Him, such that we can receive the greatest reward, eternal life.

Let me say that again, the basic unit of society is our individual relationship with Yeshua, or in other words, our faith in Yeshua / Jesus the promised Messiah. First of all let me say, that faith is trust and diligence in YHWH’s word. That means all of His words not just our favorite ones. This includes doing them even when it’s hard, and it will be hard at times. Now, lets examine the Hebrew scriptures that teach this principle. Then we will talk more about why the family is not the basic unit of society.

This idea has it’s roots in the first division of Torah or in other words the first commandment. One thing this division of Torah teaches us is that we should care about YHWH’s opinion of us and what we are doing over anyone else’s.

Exodus 20:2-3
A 2 I am the Lord [YHWH] thy God [Elohim / judge],
-B which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt,
-B out of the house of bondage.
A 3 Thou shalt have no other gods [judges] before [above] Me [YHWH].
See Doctrine & Covenants LDS 59 received on Shavuot or Torah for full chiasmus of Exodus 20.

It is also teaching that we should not have anything in our lives that is more important to us than Yeshua / Jesus and His ways, Torah. This includes family relationships as Yeshua / Jesus taught in the New Testament / Brit Chadashah in Luke (JST 14:26-34) (KJV 14:26-33). The word hate in Luke (JST 14:26-34) (KJV 14:26-33) is a Hebrew idiom for “love less”. Below are links showing this. (There are times when the word hate means hate.) YHWH before He came down as Yeshua, in Torah, was very clear we are to love others, see Leviticus 19:17,18,34; Deuteronomy 10:19. These passages show that Yeshua / Jesus meant renewed commandment, not brand new commandment. In John 13:34-35 Yeshua / Jesus is telling the disciples to love others while helping them understand Torah, YHWH’s ways. Just as the moon is not a brand new moon every lunar cycle but a renewed moon.

(Those familiar with the Adam Clarke’s Commentary and JST / Inspired Version / New Translation controversy, you can take a look at Adam Clarke’s Commentary on Luke 14 as I have, and you can see that Adam Clarke suggest no changes to this chapter showing Joseph Smith did not use the Adam Clarke’s Commentary for the JST / Inspired Version / New Translation as claimed. It is interesting to note that the Luke (JST 14:26-34) (KJV 14:26-33) chiasmus would not work without the corrections that Joseph Smith did.)

AA that ye are My [Yeshua] disciples,
AB if ye have love one to another.

Without this relationship with, or in other words, faith in Yeshua / Jesus it is not possible to please Him, see Hebrews 11:6. It’s has nothing to do with you being part of a family. I believe as Joseph Smith does regarding the Bible, in that he believed as far as it came from the author, not nessarily how we have it now.

I believe the Bible as it read when it came from the pen of the original writers. Ignorant translators, careless transcribers, or designing and corrupt priests have committed many errors.

Hebrews 11:6 is an example of this, in that a better translation of “G4100: pisteuó” which is translated as “believe” in KJV Hebrews 11:6 would be better translated as trust. Especially considering how the devils believe and don’t keep YHWH words because they don’t trust Him, see Mark 1:24, JST James 2:19, Deuteronomy 6:4. Also keep in mind that we act according to what we trust.

(Those familiar with the Adam Clarke’s Commentary and JST / Inspired Version / New Translation controversy, you can take a look at Adam Clarke’s Commentary on James 2 as I have, and you can see that Adam Clarke suggest no changes to this chapter showing Joseph Smith did not use the Adam Clarke’s Commentary for the JST / Inspired Version / New Translation as claimed. BibleHub, Hebrews 11:6 Interlinear

BibleHub, G4100: pisteuó: trust:
Strong’s Lexicon:
pisteuó: To believe, to have faith, to trust
Meaning: I believe, have faith in, trust in; pass: I am entrusted with.
Corresponding Greek / Hebrew Entries:
– H539 (אָמַן, ‘aman): To confirm, support, or be faithful.
– H982 (בָּטַח, batach): To trust, to have confidence, to be bold.

The fact that faith is trust and diligence is shown in Hebrews 11 multiple times when you look at the langauge of the manuscripts instead of various translations. I want to look at one more example of this with Hebrews 11:1. First I want to bring out how Joseph Smith corrected “G5287: hupostasis” from substance in the KJV to assurance. In fact other translations have done the same thing such as the BSB. I want to bring out that the word assurance in 1828 Webster’s Dictionary means full trust and confidence. For an explanation for my Hebrew 11:1 translation I’ll refer you to Scripture Study 2024-12-08.

JST Hebrews 11:1 [bolds are restorations and strikeouts are removals from JST / Inspired Version / New Translation]
Now faith is the substance assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

SJR Hebrews 11:1
A Now faith is:
-B hope [G1679] [belief] that becomes assurance [G5287] [full trust and confidence]
–C with deeds [G4229]
-B which is evidence [G1650]
A of faith that cannot be seen [G0991].

9) In theology, full confidence of one’s interest in Christ, and of final salvation.

BibleHub, G5287: hupostasis: assurance:
Strong’s Lexicon:
hupostasis: Substance, assurance, confidence, essence, reality
Meaning: (lit: an underlying), (a) confidence, assurance, (b) a giving substance (or reality) to, or a guaranteeing, (c) substance, reality.
Word Origin: Derived from the Greek preposition ὑπό (hupo, meaning “under”) and the verb ἵστημι (histēmi, meaning “to stand”).
HELPS Word-studies:
hypóstasis(from 5259 /hypó, “under” and 2476 /hístēmi, “to stand”) – properly, (to possess) standing under a guaranteed agreement (“title-deed”); (figuratively) “title” to a promise or property, i.e. a legitimate claim (because it literally is, “under a legal-standing”) – entitling someone to what is guaranteed under the particular agreement.

BibleHub, G4229: pragma: deed:
Strong’s Lexicon:
pragma: Matter, thing, affair, business, deed
Meaning: a thing done, a deed, action; a matter, an affair.
Word Origin: Derived from the verb πράσσω (prassō), meaning “to do” or “to practice.”
Usage: In the New Testament, “pragma” generally refers to a matter or affair, often with a focus on practical or concrete aspects. It can denote a business transaction, a legal matter, or a deed. The term emphasizes the tangible or actionable nature of the subject in question.
Cultural and Historical Background: In the Greco-Roman world, “pragma” was commonly used in legal and commercial contexts to refer to business dealings or legal cases. The term reflects the practical and often public nature of such affairs, which were integral to the social and economic life of the time. Understanding “pragma” in its historical context helps illuminate its use in the New Testament, where it often pertains to issues of conduct and responsibility within the Christian community.
HELPS Word-studies:
Cognate: prágma (from 4238 /prássō, “accomplishing by regular practice”) – properly, the habit needed to accomplish what is necessary, i.e. in a practical, reliable way. See 4231 (pragmateuomai). 4229 /prágma (“everyday business”) always has incalculable eternal worth when done in faith (by God’s inworked persuasions).
NAS Exhaustive Concordance:

Definition: a deed, a matter
Thayer’s Greek Lexicon:
a) that which has been done, a deed, an accomplished fact
b) what is doing or being accomplished

BibleHub, G1650: elegchos: evidence:
Strong’s Lexicon:
elegchos: Reproof, conviction, evidence, proof
Usage: The Greek word “elegchos” primarily refers to the act of providing evidence or proof that leads to conviction or reproof. It is often used in the context of demonstrating the truth of a matter, leading to a change in understanding or behavior. In the New Testament, it is associated with the work of the Holy Spirit in convicting individuals of sin and righteousness.
Cultural and Historical Background: In the Greco-Roman world, the concept of “elegchos” was significant in legal and rhetorical contexts, where evidence and logical argumentation were crucial for establishing truth and persuading audiences. In the Jewish tradition, reproof and correction were integral to spiritual and moral instruction, often seen as acts of love and concern for one’s community.
Thayer’s Greek Lexicon:
1) a proof, that by which a thing is proved or tested
Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance:

Divorce is never a nice thing. I feel for those who have to go through it. It is hard for everyone. The reason I bring it up, is because of the connection I see it has with the basic unit of society. If the family was the basic unit of society, why would YHWH state in His law / Torah when it is allowed to be broken up? In addition to that, stating that divorced people are allowed to marry again creating messy fabrics of society when children are involved? For me the answer is simple, the family is not the basic unit of society. Individuals connected to the Messiah are the basic units of society. Divorce is a controversial subject. But as Deuteronomy 24:1-4 and other passages in the Old Testament / Tanak and the New Testament show, people who have been divorced can be married again. A big thing that confuses people is the fact there are two things that need to be done first. One the divorce papers. Two no longer living with each other. During the New Testament time, husbands were simply not living with their wives, which today we would call a seperation. Even in todays world, the majority believes you need to get the divorce papers finalized before you can get married again. To give a little more background, in a Hebrew marriage contract, in addition to stating what is expected of the husband and wife, it also states what the other is to receive when they get divorced. When Yeshua / Jesus was preaching during His earthly ministry, husbands were not divorcing their wives because they did not want to pay out what was due the wife at divorce as stated in the contract, so they just kicked them out of the house causing them to be seperated. I go over these principles in depth in Scripture Study 2023-01-13 starting at 00H09M35S. Below I will share links dealing with the details of divorce and remarriage. One thing to keep in mind is that the uncleanness is not the wife committing adultrey because that offense is a capitial punishment for her and who she committed it with, see Leviticus 20:10.

Deuteronomy 24:1-4
AA 1 When a man hath taken a wife,
AB and married her,
-BA and it come to pass
-BB that she find no favour in his eyes,
-BC because he hath found some uncleanness [serious sin] in her:
–CAA then let him write her
–CAB a bill of divorcement,
–CBA and give it in her hand,
–CBB and send her out of his house.
—DA 2 And when she is departed out of his house,
—DB she may go and be another man’s wife.
—-EA 3 And if the latter husband hate her [because of sin],
—-EBA and write her a bill of divorcement,
—-EBB and giveth it in her hand,
—-EBC and sendeth her out of his house;
—DA or if the latter husband die,
—DB which took her to be his wife;
–CA 4 Her former husband,
–C-B which sent her away,
–C-B may not take her again
–CA to be his wife,
-BA after that she is defiled [had sex];
-BB for that is abomination
-BC before the Lord [YHWH]:
AA and thou shalt not cause the land to sin,
AB which the Lord [YHWH] thy God [Eloheinu]
AC giveth thee for an inheritance.

Leviticus 20:10
A And the man that committeth adultery
-B with another man’s wife,
–C even he that committeth adultery
–C with his neighbour’s wife,
-B the adulterer and the adulteress
A shall surely be put to death.

Righteousness is the building blocks of good societies not people. Righteousness comes from Yeshua. Our conviction to be righteous, or in other words, keep Torah, comes from our faith in Yeshua / Jesus see Lectures on Faith 6. Below are quotes from Dennis Prager during his opening statement in his lecture The Ten Commandments that goes along with this idea. Dennis Prager brings out the importantance of parents while discussing the 5th division of Torah. Even with that, there is an emphasis on keeping the commandments to create society over families, espcially considering the statement from Dennis Prager regarding atheists. Near the end of The Ten Commandments, Dennis Prager makes a point that it is truth, coupled with an earlier statement from YHWH, that makes good societies. And that is a true statement. Without YHWH’s truth known as Torah, and the Messiah, their would be no society worth being part of, see the world. Although I do see some things differently than Dennis Prager, I still highly recommend watching all of The Ten Commandments lecture on YouTube. I would also recommend listening to his series “The Rational Bible” on audible.

No document in world history so changed the world for the better as did the 10 commandments.

The 10 commandments are all that is necessary to make a good world, a world free of tyranny and cruelty.

The 10 commandments are predicated on the belief that they were given by an authority higher than any man, any king or any goverment.

Without God, right and wrong are just personal beliefs, personal opinions. … Unless there is a God all morality is just an opinion and belief. And virtually every atheist philosopher has acknowledged this.
Dennis Prager, The Ten Commandments

So even if you’re an atheist, you would want people to live by the moral laws of the ten commandments. And even an atheist has to admit, that the more people who believe God gave them and therefore they are not just opinion, the better the world would be.
Dennis Prager, The Ten Commandments, 04M55S.

There are many important values in society but truth is probably the most important. Goodness and compassion may be the most important values in the micro or personal realm. But in the macro or societal realm truth is even more imporant than compassion or kindness. Virtually all the great societal evils such as African slavery, Nazism and communism have been based on lies. There were slave traders, Nazis and communists who were compassionate in their personal lives. But all of them told and most of them believed some great lie that enabled them to participate in a great evil.

Mass evil is committed not because a vast number of people seek to be cruel, but because they are fed lies that convince them that what is evil is actually good.
Dennis Prager, The Ten Commandments, 48M25S

As Yeshua / Jesus states, all the law / Torah and the commentary and testimonies from the prophets are based upon how YHWH wants us to love Him and others. How to love YHWH and others is futher divided into five each. And all other commandments are giving specifics how YHWH wants us to keep the two commandments and thus the ten divisions of Torah.

Matthew 22:34-40
AAA 34 But when the Pharisees had heard

-BBC and with all thy mind.
–CA 38 This is the first

-BB as thyself.
AA 40 On these two commandments [of love]
AB hang [based] all the law [Torah]
AC and the prophets [commentaries and testimonies].

The first five commandments from the 10 divisions of Torah are about how to love YHWH Elohim, which includes worship. Although the basic statement of the fourth divisions doesn’t give specifics of the specific day to set aside for YHWH, other words from YHWH’s mouth or His actual servants do. I get into how the details of everything said on the matter points to a Weekly Lunar Sabbath, Annual Sabbaths and Moonly Sabbath in Abide New Moon Day and the Calendar page.

Enoch built a righteous society, not because of his family, but because of his faith in YHWH Elohim and Torah and thus acted. The city of Enoch was built not by a family, but by man communing with YHWH, repenting himself and helping others to do the same. In JST Genesis 7:25 (Moses 7:19) Zion is also known as a city / society of HOLINESS, not of families. YHWH has given us the Holy Behaviour [Spirit] which anciently was known as Torah to teach us how to be holy as He is holy. Please keep in mind that the center stanza in chiasmus is the focal point. The center of JST Genesis 7:23-25 (Moses 7:18-19) chiasmus is rigteousness or in other words LAW / TORAH which is where righteousness is defined.

JST Genesis 7:23-25 (Moses 7:18-19)
AA 23 And the Lord [YHWH]
AB called His [YHWH] people,
AC Zion;
-BA because they were of
-B-B one heart [Torah written on]
-B–C and one mind [Torah to think on],
-B-B and dwelt in righteousness [Torah defines];
-BA and there were no poor among them [Tithing].
–CA 24 And Enoch continued his preaching
–C-B in righteousness [Torah]
–CA unto the people [followers] of God [Elohim].
-BA 25 And it came to pass in his [Enoch] days,
-BB that he [Enoch] built a city
-BC that was called the city of HOLINESS,
A even Zion.

Sadly not everyone wants YHWH Elohim’s will / Torah to be here on earth as it is in heaven. And some people’s hatred towards Yeshua and His ways / Torah starts while they are little ones because of the lies they are taught by their parents and families. Even worse is how there are very wicked people in society who desire to take society down and enslave the whole human race to them. Many evil organizations that are seeking to take society down are family dynasties. I for one, am grateful for my mother starting me down my path to know Elohim / God and His ways / Torah. But unless one obeys with their own might, mind and strength, it will not continue to what it needs to be: a personal relationship with YHWH and His laws / Torah which is faith. With these two contrasting examples, I hope to bring out how it’s not about families. It’s about personally accepting Yeshua / Jesus as our personal Saviour and then keeping His righteous commandments / Torah and helping others to do the same. This is how you build society. Families help with population growth, but not always help with societies that are good for everyone. Also keep in mind how children don’t always follow the ways of their parents.

Yeshua / Jesus in Luke 17:26-27 and Matthew (JST 24:44-45) (KJV 24:37-39) brings out how just before the flood that husbands were marrying wives and wives were being given to husbands.

If families were the basic unit of society, why didn’t the creating of new families stop society from being destroyed? The answer is simple and I’ll state it again, families are NOT the basic unit of society. The basic unit of society is individuals who have a good relationship with Yeshua / Jesus who keep His laws / Torah and help others to do the same. Which is the purpose of life for everyone.

Jacob (LDS 2:21) (RLDS 2:26-28)
A Do ye not suppose that such things are abominable unto Him who created all flesh?
-B And the one being is as precious in His sight as the other.
–C And all flesh is of the dust;
-B and for the selfsame END [PURPOSE / GOAL] hath He created them,
C THAT THEY SHOULD KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS [LAW / TORAH] AND GLORIFY HIM FOREVER.

Ecclesiastes 12:13
A Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
-B Fear [revere] God [Elohim],
-B and KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS:
A for this is the WHOLE DUTY [PURPOSE] of man.

2 Nephi (LDS 26:27) (RLDS 11:102-103)
A Hath He commanded any that they should not partake of His salvation?
-B Behold I say unto you, Nay;
-B but He hath given it free for all men;
A and He hath commanded His people that THEY SHOULD PERSUADE ALL MEN TO REPENT.

Abraham 3:25
A And we will prove them herewith,
-B to see if they will do all things [Torah]
-B whatsoever the Lord [YHWH] their God [Elohim]
A shall command them;

Alma (LDS 34:32) (RLDS 16:228)
A For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God [Elohim];
B yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors.

D&C (LDS 6:6) (RLDS 6) (1833 5) (1835 8) (1844 8)
A Now, as you have asked,
-B behold, I [YHWH] say unto you,
–C keep My [YHWH] commandments [Torah],
-B and seek to bring forth
A and establish the cause of Zion;

D&C (LDS 6:9) (RLDS 6) (1833 5) (1835 8) (1844 8)
AA Say nothing but repentance
AB unto this generation;
BA keep My [YHWH] commandments [Torah],
BB and assist to bring forth My [YHWH] work,
CA according to My commandments [Torah],
CB and you shall be blessed.

Satan knows that most will not believe in something that outright contradicts the light of the Messiah, which is Torah, that is in us. Because of this, one of the tricks up his sleeve, is getting us to focus on something that can be good instead of what we should be focusing on. Societies that last are built upon righteous principles that YHWH confirms to individuals who seek to keep His ways / Torah. It is righteous individuals with YHWH who build up societies that can last. Yes, families are needed to bring about the next generation. But the colapse of society is one generation away, or less, if they don’t connect with YHWH and seek to keep His Torah. To go along with this, Yeshua / Jesus in Matthew (JST 24:10-11) (KJV 24:12-13) states those who reject Torah will not love, because Torah is about how YHWH wants us to love, and will be destroyed. Families don’t nessarily teach righteousness. In fact, people in different religions will say families in other religions, although they may get some things right, they are teaching wickedness.

Matthew (JST 24:10-11) (KJV 24:12-13) [bolds are JST / Inspired Version / New Translation]
—-EAA 10 12 And because iniquity shall abound,
—-EA-B the love of many shall wax cold.
—-EA–C 11 13 But he that remaineth steadfast,
—-EA-B and is not overcome,
—-EAA the same shall be saved.

When someone converts to a new religion, including the LDS / Brighamite church, while it is breaking up the family, because of the new belief system, no one of the new church ever says “your braking up the family which is the basic unit of society, so you need to go back to your family.” Because everyone one knows deep down that the individual relationship with YHWH is the fundamental concern, showing it’s not the family.

One aspect about Yeshua’s / Jesus’ parable of the Wheat and the Tares is that it is about the individual and not the group that matters. Families are a group of people not an individual. And being a group, it is most likely there are wheat and tares in it. As I am sure everyone has examples of that for both church and family in their own lives as there are a ton of examples of such in the scriptures. As history and scriptures teach us, if a society that has any chance of surviving, it can not be based upon evil, even of just one member. Because sadly evil spreads faster than righteousness as it is much easier to listen to the natural man instead of following YHWH’s laws known as Torah which is where He teaches us how to be holy as He is holy.

An interesting tid bit to deepen our understanding of Yeshua’s / Jesus’ parable of the Wheat and the Tares is how wheat and tares look almost identical. When wheat matures it bows, but tares do not. Which follows with how mature believers will worship how YHWH wants us to worship Him instead of our own ideas on the matter. Please visit Sabbath, Sabbaths, High Holidays, Calendar, and especially Abide New Moon Day for more on how YHWH wants us to worship Him.

Matthew (JST 13:22-29) (KJV 13:24-30) [bolds are restorations and strikeouts are removals from JST / Inspired Version / New Translation]
AAA 22 24 Another parable put He [Yeshua] forth unto them, saying,
AAB The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man
AAC which who sowed good seed in his field;
ABAA 23 25 But while men he slept,
ABAB his enemy came and sowed tares
ABBA among the wheat,
ABBB and went his way.
-BA 24 26 But when the blade was sprung up,
-BB and brought forth fruit,
-BC then appeared the tares also.
–CAA 25 27 So the servants of the householder
–CAB came and said unto him,
–CBA Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field?
–CBB from whence then hath it tares?
—DA 26 28 He said unto them,
—DB An enemy hath done this.
–CAA 27 28 And the servants said unto him,
–CAB Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
–C-BA 28 29 But he said,
–C-BB Nay;
–CAA lest while ye gather up the tares,
–CAB ye root up also the wheat with them.
-BA 29 30 Let both grow together until the harvest,
-BB and in the time of harvest,
-BC I will say to the reapers,
AAA Gather ye together first the tares wheat
AAB into my barn;
ABA and bind them the tares are bound in bundles
ABB to burn them be burned but gather the wheat into my barn.

Matthew (JST 13:35-45) (KJV 13:36-43) [bolds are restorations and strikeouts are removals from JST / Inspired Version / New Translation]
AAA 35 36 Then Jesus [Yeshua] sent the multitude away,
AAB and went into the house [believers].
A-BA And His [Yeshua] disciples came unto Him [Yeshua],
A-BB saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
A-BA 36 37 He [Yeshua] answered and said unto them,
A-BB He that soweth the good seed is the Son of Man [Yeshua];
AAA 37 38 The field is the world;
AAB the good seed are the children of the kingdom;
-BA but the tares are the children of the wicked one [Satan].
-BB 38 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil;
–CAA 39 The harvest is the end of the world [Second Coming],
–CAB or the destruction of the wicked [Second Coming] and.
–CBA 40 39 The reapers are the angels,
–CBB or the messengers sent of heaven.
—DAA 41 40 As, therefore,
—DAB the tares are gathered and burned in the fire,
—DBA so shall it be in the end of this world [Second Coming],
—DBB or the destruction of the wicked [Second Coming].
–CAA 42 41 For in that day,
–CAB before the Son of Man [Yeshua] shall come,
–CBA He [Yeshua] shall send forth
–CBB His [YHWH] angels and messengers of heaven.
-BA 43 41–42 And they shall gather out of His [YHWH] kingdom
-B-B all things that offend,
-B–C and them which do iniquity,
-B—D and shall cast them into a furnace of fire
-B—D out among the wicked;
-B–C and there shall be wailing
-B-B and gnashing of teeth.
-BA 44 For the world shall be burned with fire.
AAA 45 43 Then shall the righteous shine forth
AAB as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.
ABA Who hath ears to hear,
ABB let him hear.

If we thought about the fact there are wheat and tares, which are the righteous and the wicked, in the church, it would show how we need to keep the members and the leaders in check by YHWH’s Torah.

Mark (JST 9:46) (KJV 9:47)

D&C (LDS 107:81-84) (RLDS 104) (1835 3) (1844 3)
AA 81 There is not ANY PERSON belonging to the church

see D&C 1835 5 / 1844 5 / LDS 102 / RLDS 99 for why I don’t believe this section is authentic

D&C (LDS 112:8-9,12-15,23-26,28,33) (RLDS 105) (1844 112)
8 And by thy word many high ones shall be brought low, and by thy word many low ones shall be exalted. 9 Thy voice shall be a rebuke unto the transgressor.

12 And pray for thy brethren of the Twelve. Admonish them sharply for my name’s sake, and let them be admonished for all their sins, and be ye faithful before me unto my name. 13 And after their temptations, and much tribulation, behold, I, the Lord, will feel after them, and if they harden not their hearts, and stiffen not their necks against me, they shall be converted, and I will heal them. 14 Now, I say unto you, and what I say unto you, I say unto all the Twelve: Arise and gird up your loins, take up your across, follow me, and feed my sheep. 15 Exalt not yourselves; rebel not against my servant Joseph; for verily I say unto you, I am with him, and my hand shall be over him; and the keys which I have given unto him, and also to youward, shall not be taken from him till I come.

23 Verily, verily, I say unto you, darkness covereth the earth, and gross darkness the minds of the people, and all flesh has become corrupt before my face. 24 Behold, vengeance cometh speedily upon the inhabitants of the earth, a day of wrath, a day of burning, a day of desolation, of weeping, of mourning, and of lamentation; and as a whirlwind it shall come upon all the face of the earth, saith the Lord. 25 And upon my house shall it begin, and from my house shall it go forth, saith the Lord; 26 First among those among you, saith the Lord, who have professed to know my name and have not known me, and have blasphemed against me in the midst of my house, saith the Lord.

28 But purify your hearts before me; and then go ye into all the world, and preach my gospel unto every creature who has not received it;

33 Verily I say unto you, behold how great is your calling. Cleanse your hearts and your garments, lest the blood of this generation be required at your hands.

And just so it is clear, the law we are to hold leaders and members to is YHWH’s words not the traditions from any men including lawyers.

D&C (LDS 42:59) (RLDS 42) (1833 44,47) (1835 13)
AA Thou shalt take the things
AB which thou hast received,
BA which have been given unto thee
BB in My [YHWH] SCRIPTURES for a LAW [Torah],
CA to be My [YHWH] LAW [Torah]
CB to GOVERN My [YHWH] church;

D&C (LDS 58:23) (RLDS 58) (1833 59) (1835 18) (1844 18)
AA Behold, the laws [Torah]
AB which ye have received
BA from My [YHWH] hand
BB are the laws [YHWH] of the church,
CA and in this light [Torah] ye shall hold them forth.
CB Behold, here is wisdom.

Adam and Eve’s children, Cain and Abel are good examples of how the parable of the Wheat and Tares can be applied to members of a family, showing how families and familial relationships can and do tear each other apart over what is right and wrong thus destroying families showing families are not the basic unit of society.

I hope and pray after sharing YHWH’s words and expounding them with regarding society you can see why the family is not the basic unit of society but instead it is our correct individual relationships with Yeshua.
