Summary:

Going over Mosiah 15:1-5 and how it teaches modalism. Mosiah 15 is showing how Isaiah 53 is possible. Modalism is that the Father and the Son are two different modes or rules for the one soul YHWH Elohim. Which goes along with the word personages from Lectures on Faith 5. Third member of the Godhead is mind or will which is Torah. Modalism is all over the scriptures including the Doctrine and Covenants. Test this and everything against the scriptures. When you first learn something that goes against your traditions it is scary. A lot of people says they want to show YHWH that they will do what He wants them to do, here is your chance to show that. YHWH Elohim Himself shall redeem His people. JST Genesis 22:7 teaches modalism. Godhead is a vengeful Elohim, modalism is a merciful Elohim. In Torah, it is the head of the household that can take other people responsibilities. 1 Nephi 11:18 originally said “mother of God”. Elohim, which gets translated to God, means judge. I don’t like the Greek idea of god, which causes many problems. Father means leader, son means follower. Everyone complains that leaders don’t do what they preach, Yeshua did. Will means Torah. We are to keep YHWH’s mind and will not our own. To be the express image is to be that thing. Grace to grace is justification to sanctification. Spirit can and does mean behavior. A living soul is someone who will have eternal life vs a dead soul is someone who is going to hell. The mind and will are the same thing. There are TWO not THREE PERSONAGES in the Godhead. Moroni 7:2 shows us that the Holy Spirit is the will. Conceive is about an idea. YHWH figured out Torah. The power of Elohim is Torah. Plain is an idiom for Torah. A spear is symbolic for the Holy Spirit because it pierces the flesh to your spirit. Torah is every word of Yah that is not a prescribed punishment. Yeshua and Paul shows us that all the Old Testament / Tanak is Torah. Perfect points to Torah, because it’s the perfect law of YHWH. In the New Testament the phrases Holy Ghost and Holy Spirit are from the exact same Greek words. Book of Mormon was translated with the KJV Bible language. Scriptures and Hebrews say that Torah is a gift from Yah. YHWH was in the midst of souls not children. Our souls are eternal as YHWH’s is.  YHWH’s word has power because it is true and fair along with He kept it. We all want others to keep Torah when dealing with ourselves, even though we don’t want to keep it towards others because we think we are the exception. Yeshua took our sins upon Himself to make it possible for us to be with Him, just as Adam partook of the fruit to keep Eve with him. Yeshua gave us unmerited favor. The earliest Catholic fathers taught modalism before they corrupted the truth more with paganism. The Trinity is a mix of Hebrew modalism with pagan Triune god. The Holy Spirit which is Torah does testify of the different modes of YHWH. We are to keep Torah daily. Law of Moses, not Torah, was nailed to the cross which was a punishment as well as circumcision which is the law of Abraham. The word of Yah should be free. JST Luke 10:22 teaches modalism. I hope the Son will reveal modalism to everyone. Connections are all over the scriptures that teach modalism one example is connecting 3 Nephi 11:35 with 3 Nephi 12:1. Let go of the false traditions to know YHWH better.

00:00:02 Hello brothers and sisters. Welcome to
00:00:04 yet another beautiful message. Um we are
00:00:09 pleased to present to you on today for
00:00:12 you Mosiah 15. Um and in this chapter we
00:00:18 go over different ideas. uh mainly we go
00:00:22 over the this idea of modalism uh which
00:00:26 is uh which Stephen hereafter will
00:00:30 describe and define for us. Um but I’m
00:00:33 just here to just give a like I kind of
00:00:36 like a shout out to the later
00:00:38 definition. So we cover modalism in the
00:00:40 first five verses. Um and then it goes
00:00:43 on from there. We will also discuss the
00:00:46 um how Yahweh works with his people. How
00:00:50 a generation of prophets works. Um you
00:00:55 usually have a messenger, a preparer and
00:00:57 then uh aka the preparer for this
00:01:00 generation is called the mighty one
00:01:02 mighty and strong and then the redeemer
00:01:05 type. So there’s a threefold way on how
00:01:09 Yahweh provides his word to his to his
00:01:13 children. And this perfor this threefold
00:01:18 role is a generation is considered a
00:01:23 generation uh within Yahwa’s uh Yahwa’s
00:01:27 time. Um now
00:01:30 we will also be covering other things
00:01:32 that come up in this chapter. I’m
00:01:34 excited to uh present this to you. But
00:01:37 before we go into the chapter, I want to
00:01:38 go ahead and turn the time over to
00:01:40 Stephen so he can explain uh what
00:01:42 modalism is and plus a few other things.
00:01:44 So Stephen, without further ado. Okay,
00:01:47 so uh real quick. So Mosiah 15
00:01:53 is after Mosiah 14 obviously. Duh.
00:01:59 reason I bring that up is because uh
00:02:03 Mosiah 14 is a Benedict reading Isaiah
00:02:07 53. Okay. Y which is a big deal on many
00:02:12 aspects but we’ll just leave it at the
00:02:14 atonement for now. Okay. Yes. Um but
00:02:20 after
00:02:22 uh reading Isaiah 15 I mean Isa sorry
00:02:25 Isaiah 53 in Mosiah 15 he starts
00:02:31 explaining how Isaiah 53 is possible.
00:02:35 Okay. Yes. And there’s a lot of key
00:02:40 things to go over here. Um
00:02:43 but
00:02:45 uh one of these key pieces is modalism
00:02:50 which is that there is one
00:02:54 soul
00:02:56 uh I’ll just use that word for now uh
00:02:58 because that one doesn’t have other
00:03:00 overloads with it that can make it
00:03:01 confusing. uh there’s one soul in
00:03:06 different
00:03:07 roles such as the role of the father and
00:03:11 the role of the son and which uh Joseph
00:03:16 Smith called personages
00:03:18 which Ben uh has a good explanation of
00:03:21 that word if he wants to jump in real
00:03:23 quick. It’s like uh personages is like
00:03:28 when one actor plays two different
00:03:31 characters in a play
00:03:34 as in like has different roles. Yeah.
00:03:39 Yes. And they are and they are distinct,
00:03:44 right? Now um so a mode and roll is
00:03:48 basically the same thing just different
00:03:50 words. Um now also
00:03:54 uh the third member of the godhead is
00:03:58 not a personage. It is the mind will of
00:04:03 Yahweh Elohim or Torah. Okay. And we may
00:04:07 or may not go look at lectures on faith
00:04:10 five. I will put a link in that cuz that
00:04:12 that’s a
00:04:15 so as
00:04:18 we go through this I do understand it
00:04:21 goes against a lot of people’s
00:04:22 traditions. Okay.
00:04:24 I it
00:04:27 when Yahweh taught me this it took me a
00:04:29 while to be a little more open about it
00:04:33 um because it’s way different than what
00:04:36 I was taught growing up. But it is all
00:04:38 over the scriptures.
00:04:40 I understand a lot of people will say no
00:04:43 it’s not
00:04:44 but um
00:04:48 let me uh put Josh on the spot real
00:04:50 quick if that’s okay
00:04:53 Josh what’s that is modalism all over
00:04:57 the scriptures it’s everywhere
00:05:00 yes once you once you start seeing it
00:05:03 it’s everywhere modalism is everywhere
00:05:06 it’s it’s so yeah We’ve been on a little
00:05:10 journey through the doctrine in
00:05:11 covenants
00:05:13 uh of recent and modalism is everywhere
00:05:20 in the doctrine and covenants. It is
00:05:22 literally everywhere.
00:05:26 Now, if you didn’t know about it, you
00:05:27 wouldn’t see it, would you? No. No. No.
00:05:30 If you’re stuck in the uh trinity or if
00:05:33 you’re stuck in the brigamite LDS
00:05:36 tradition of what the godhead is, then
00:05:40 you would well you wouldn’t even be
00:05:42 looking for it. Yeah. And I’ll be
00:05:44 honest, I wasn’t looking for it myself.
00:05:46 I I Yahweh taught this to me. So might I
00:05:50 might I be might I also interject
00:05:53 something with this idea of uh modalism
00:05:56 here? So, Stephen, how long have you and
00:05:58 I known each other? How long have you
00:06:00 been my teacher? Uh, three to four years
00:06:04 is my quick guess. I don’t know,
00:06:06 something like that, maybe. It’s taken
00:06:08 me three years to fully accept modalism.
00:06:12 Out of those four years that we’ve been
00:06:15 in close association with one another,
00:06:17 it’s taken me most of that time to fully
00:06:19 embrace the idea of modalism. It has
00:06:21 taken me a long time according to our
00:06:25 understanding
00:06:27 to grasp and take hold of this concept
00:06:30 of modalism. Now that I have accepted it
00:06:33 and grasped it, I do see it everywhere.
00:06:36 But once again, I can amen the statement
00:06:41 say amen to the statement that Stephen
00:06:42 has said. It takes a while if you have
00:06:45 been entrenched in the ideas and
00:06:47 traditions of your fathers to let go of
00:06:52 the tradition of your fathers. It’s like
00:06:53 the tradition of your fathers is a
00:06:55 safety blanket.
00:06:57 Yeah. It’s all where Yahweh taught it to
00:07:01 me from is the Book of Mormon, but it’s
00:07:03 all over all the scriptures. Yeah. Yeah.
00:07:07 So, allow me to say this.
00:07:10 Don’t lean on the traditions of your
00:07:13 fathers.
00:07:15 Lean on letting the word of Yahwa speak
00:07:18 for itself. And also get a good teacher.
00:07:23 Get a good teacher.
00:07:26 It is so fundamental to you
00:07:28 understanding what y’all wants us to
00:07:30 understand if you get a good teacher.
00:07:33 So with that being said, back to you,
00:07:35 Stephen. Okay. So,
00:07:38 uh, we’re we’ll talk about modalism and
00:07:41 some other things. Some of the things
00:07:42 that we will bring up
00:07:46 will probably be hard to accept
00:07:48 initially,
00:07:50 right, Josh?
00:07:52 Yeah. Um, yeah, I’m not I’m not sure
00:07:54 that I I fully grasp a lot of it, but
00:07:58 um, one thing I do know that has been
00:08:03 borne witness to me through
00:08:06 the scriptures, through Torah, is that
00:08:10 modalism is
00:08:14 true.
00:08:16 It is true. This is how it works. And I
00:08:21 would urge everyone who’s listening
00:08:24 here, anyone who looks at this,
00:08:28 get into the scriptures. Search the
00:08:30 scriptures. The scriptures will teach
00:08:34 you.
00:08:36 They will reach into your heart and they
00:08:39 will
00:08:40 they will bring about a change in your
00:08:42 life that
00:08:46 you may not even think about right now.
00:08:49 But please, I beg you, get into the
00:08:53 scriptures.
00:08:54 Study them.
00:08:57 Yeah. And with studying them is letting
00:09:01 the words
00:09:04 say what they say rather than you trying
00:09:06 to filter it with your traditions. Um,
00:09:09 yes. And that’ll get more evident as we
00:09:12 read through, especially verses one
00:09:15 through five and maybe some stuff to
00:09:17 support it. Um,
00:09:21 don’t just out write out reject it.
00:09:26 Listen and contemplate it and test it.
00:09:31 Take it to the scriptures on your own
00:09:34 after listening or even just pause it
00:09:36 and then take it. I I do whatever is
00:09:39 best for you, but test it.
00:09:43 Yeah. Don’t Yeah. The worst thing you
00:09:46 can do is just take somebody’s word for
00:09:48 something of this importance cuz this is
00:09:50 important.
00:09:52 Yeah. Um cuz there there’s going to be
00:09:54 some things out in these five verses
00:09:59 that are going to be controversial, but
00:10:01 I the text the actual text does support
00:10:05 it in the actual definitions of words.
00:10:07 Okay,
00:10:09 I’ll just leave it at that.
00:10:12 Test the ideas.
00:10:15 and and and let them sit. Like uh John
00:10:18 just mentioned, it took him a long time
00:10:20 to fully accept it.
00:10:22 It took me a long time to go out and say
00:10:26 stuff cuz I I’ll tell you when I
00:10:28 started, I was probably some scared. Not
00:10:32 anymore. But when you first learn
00:10:35 something new that goes against the
00:10:38 traditions you were taught, it is a
00:10:40 little scary. Okay.
00:10:44 Yes, it is. But
00:10:49 everybody, well, okay, maybe not
00:10:51 everybody, but a lot of people will
00:10:53 claim they want to show Yahweh that
00:10:56 they’ll do what he wants them to do,
00:10:58 which part of that is believing correct
00:11:00 things.
00:11:03 Now, here’s your chance to show that.
00:11:07 Okay, so we’ll just leave it at that.
00:11:10 And um John’s leading today, so I’ll let
00:11:13 I am. So Stephen, do you mind making the
00:11:15 words a little larger so that people
00:11:18 viewing the video can actually properly
00:11:21 see it? Uh you want to learn more?
00:11:24 That’ll work. That’ll work. That’ll
00:11:25 work. That should work.
00:11:28 Okay. So Josh, you want to start us off
00:11:30 in verse one?
00:11:33 Sure.
00:11:34 And now Abenadai said unto them,
00:11:38 I would that ye should understand
00:11:42 that Elohim himself
00:11:46 shall come down among the children of
00:11:50 men and redeem his people.
00:11:56 Okay. So, Do you want to say something,
00:11:59 Josh, before I start opening my big
00:12:01 mouth? Well, it’s um
00:12:05 if we’re reading this uh just for the
00:12:09 words themselves and what the words
00:12:11 state,
00:12:13 then this is black and white very
00:12:16 clearly stating that
00:12:20 Elohim
00:12:23 God uh who most people like to call God
00:12:27 himself shall come down among the
00:12:30 children of men and shall redeem his
00:12:32 people.
00:12:35 Wait, he won’t he won’t point to another
00:12:37 person and say, “You go down and redeem
00:12:39 them.”
00:12:41 Correct. Now, now I I do want to add a
00:12:44 few things I think will help support
00:12:46 what Josh is saying. Okay? Now, um a lot
00:12:52 of people think Elohim is the father and
00:12:56 Yahweh is the son. Correct. Correct.
00:13:00 Um, is this saying Elohim
00:13:04 aka the father will come down himself to
00:13:08 redeem? So who
00:13:12 any Christian can answer this question
00:13:14 who redeems us of our sin from our sins
00:13:16 and that would be they would say Jesus
00:13:19 or Yeshua
00:13:22 which is they identify as the son.
00:13:26 However, what this is telling us is that
00:13:30 it is
00:13:33 Elohim
00:13:36 the father
00:13:39 who will redeem his children from his
00:13:40 sins. Yes, that is exactly what it’s
00:13:44 saying. Okay, it is the father. Now, uh
00:13:48 I do want to go to help support this
00:13:50 idea. I want to look at a a new
00:13:53 translation, also known as the Joseph
00:13:55 Smith translation or the inspired
00:13:57 version of Abraham and Isaac going up
00:14:00 the mountain. Okay. Um I don’t remember
00:14:02 this, so I’m going to pause for a minute
00:14:04 while I go get that ready. Okay.
00:14:08 All right. So, we found what I’m looking
00:14:11 for. It’s um New Translation Genesis 22.
00:14:16 uh specifically uh new translation 7 or
00:14:22 normal verse 6. Now we could read some
00:14:26 before that if we want to. Um but I’m
00:14:32 more on this idea that it’s the father
00:14:35 that came down. Uh I I do want to focus
00:14:39 on seven6. Okay. Yeah.
00:14:43 And Oh no. Uh John, you want to read
00:14:46 that? Yeah. And Abraham Abraham took the
00:14:50 wood of the burnt offering and laid it
00:14:53 upon his ord.
00:15:00 Oh, sorry. Is is
00:15:03 this will bring out a a good point to
00:15:05 bring out the difference. That’s right.
00:15:08 King James and uh probably all other
00:15:11 translations.
00:15:13 Uh, I haven’t specifically looked at
00:15:14 that, but it we’ll say Isaac’s.
00:15:18 Mhm. Not Isaac.
00:15:21 It’s his own. That’s it’s his own back
00:15:23 that he put the wood. Okay. Oh, yeah.
00:15:28 It’s a big difference. And we’ll talk
00:15:29 about why. Let’s finish verse. And laid
00:15:31 it upon his back or Abraham’s back.
00:15:36 And Abraham took the fire in his hand
00:15:39 and a knife. and it saw his son and they
00:15:43 went both of them together. Okay. So in
00:15:49 the new translation, Abraham is the one
00:15:53 taking everything.
00:15:55 Yes.
00:15:57 Now, um,
00:16:00 with people, uh, following the King
00:16:02 James and King James tradition of the
00:16:04 wood going on upon the sun’s back, what
00:16:08 image does that bring to play to your
00:16:10 mind?
00:16:14 Now, a lot of people’s minds, it brings
00:16:17 the cross.
00:16:20 Completely understandable. Okay. Yeah.
00:16:24 Absolutely. Um, but
00:16:28 with the new translation,
00:16:31 who had the cross upon his back?
00:16:35 Abraham. Abraham who is represents the
00:16:39 father here. Yeah. It is the father that
00:16:43 took it upon his back
00:16:46 along with the fire
00:16:49 and the knife.
00:16:52 And the flesh.
00:16:55 Yes.
00:16:58 Showing modalism. It is the father
00:17:03 himself that came down to take his our
00:17:08 to take our sins upon his
00:17:11 back. It was the father’s burden as
00:17:15 Mosiah 15 will get into more in a bit.
00:17:19 Now uh we don’t need to worry about the
00:17:22 other things because that’s getting
00:17:23 somewhat beyond what I want to get into.
00:17:26 But
00:17:29 the new translation
00:17:31 here and many other places
00:17:34 corrects perverted King James and all
00:17:37 translations
00:17:40 from
00:17:42 godhood to modalism.
00:17:46 Yeah. Yeah.
00:17:48 Okay. Y So let let’s go back to Mosiah
00:17:52 15.
00:17:54 Yeah.
00:17:56 All right. So, that is bringing to help
00:18:00 um with that. Now, one thing also I’m
00:18:02 going to bring out.
00:18:06 I have a few notes. So, give me a
00:18:08 minute.
00:18:12 Just a few hundred notes
00:18:16 or a thousand.
00:18:22 Okay, here we go. Um,
00:18:27 I am Yah and besides me there is no
00:18:29 savior.
00:18:32 That’s going along with uh what uh
00:18:35 Abenadi is saying, right?
00:18:38 Yep. Uh there’s also one in here. I I
00:18:42 think it’s here. I hope it’s here
00:18:44 because we’re live. Um
00:18:51 Oh, there it is. Uh I am Yahweh and that
00:18:54 is my name and my glory I will not give
00:18:58 to another.
00:19:00 In other words, he’s not giving any he’s
00:19:03 not assigning anything to any other
00:19:05 soul.
00:19:11 Yeah. Yep. Neither my praise to graven
00:19:14 images. So idols or people meaning
00:19:18 there’s only one that did this cuz the
00:19:21 work and the glory
00:19:25 is to bring to pass the immortality
00:19:27 eternal life of man right only one did
00:19:31 that yes in himself.
00:19:34 Amen. And then well and then you you
00:19:37 when you start understanding that you
00:19:39 start understanding that only one could
00:19:41 only one could right and I I will say
00:19:46 something else real quick. Uh Godhead
00:19:51 uh
00:19:53 when it comes to the atonement
00:19:56 and how the sun had to come down um
00:20:00 portrays a vengeful Elohim. Okay. Yeah.
00:20:04 Mhm. Where modalism
00:20:08 is vengeful because he sent someone else
00:20:09 to take the punishment. Okay. Right.
00:20:13 Where modalism presents a merciful
00:20:19 um Elohim because he did it himself. Oh,
00:20:23 wait a minute. They’re redeem his
00:20:25 people. Where where? Oh, himself.
00:20:29 Yeah.
00:20:32 which also goes along with how it is in
00:20:35 Torah. It is the head of the household
00:20:39 that can take upon other people’s
00:20:41 responsibilities.
00:20:43 Yep. Not somebody else.
00:20:46 It is the head of the household which is
00:20:48 the father.
00:20:50 Mhm. Yes. Uh not a son.
00:20:55 Yeah. And he can’t delegate that. No.
00:20:58 And as a matter of fact, and as a matter
00:20:59 of fact, nowhere in that verse is a son
00:21:02 mentioned. Now, we a son will be
00:21:05 mentioned uh hereafter, but it has a
00:21:09 different context
00:21:11 to it or the different role. Yes. Yeah.
00:21:15 It brings out a different role. So, it’s
00:21:17 the same soul. I’m using soul right now
00:21:20 just because it doesn’t have other
00:21:21 meanings to it right now. Right. Right.
00:21:24 Um,
00:21:26 it’s the same soul in a different mode.
00:21:30 Hence, modalism.
00:21:33 Okay. All right. So, go ahead, John.
00:21:35 Okay. And because he dwelleth in flesh,
00:21:38 he shall be called the son of Elohim.
00:21:41 Okay. That’ll be rude.
00:21:43 Okay. What? What did that say? Because
00:21:47 he dwelleth in the flesh, he shall be
00:21:50 called the son of Elohim. This is a good
00:21:53 time to go to First Nephi chapter 11
00:21:56 where it talks about the condescension
00:21:58 of God. Okay, we can do that.
00:22:11 Oops.
00:22:23 Okay. So, is it verse 16 you are? Yeah.
00:22:27 And he said, “Knowest thou know And he
00:22:29 said unto me, knowest thou the
00:22:31 condescension of God.” And then go
00:22:33 beyond. And I said unto him, I know that
00:22:35 he loveth his children. Nevertheless, I
00:22:37 do not know the meaning of all things.
00:22:40 and he said unto me, “Behold, the virgin
00:22:43 whom thou seeest is the mother of the
00:22:46 son of Elohim after the manner of the
00:22:48 flesh.” Okay. So, I I’m
00:22:52 so I do think a better translation of
00:22:55 virgin is maiden. And then also I I’m
00:22:58 going to just show how it was in the
00:23:00 1830
00:23:03 because this is this app doesn’t have
00:23:05 this, but um I do have it up here. Give
00:23:08 me one second. Yep.
00:23:11 Okay. Uh, read that one. Yes. Knowest
00:23:16 thou the condescension of God? And I
00:23:18 said unto him, I know that he loveth his
00:23:20 children. Nevertheless, I do not know
00:23:22 the meaning of all things. I think
00:23:24 that’s interesting that he puts it that
00:23:26 way. And he said unto me, Behold, the
00:23:29 virgin which thou seeest is the mother
00:23:31 of Elohim after the manner of the flesh.
00:23:36 the mother of Elohim
00:23:40 after the manner of the flesh.
00:23:43 Yahw laid his glory by
00:23:47 to live
00:23:49 as we are
00:23:51 so that he could sucker his people and
00:23:54 became the son.
00:23:58 So you mean the 1830 translation
00:24:01 actually says God in it? Uh well so the
00:24:06 manuscript the original manuscript I do
00:24:09 believe does we do not have the original
00:24:14 manuscript on this verse but we do have
00:24:16 the printer’s manuscript on this verse
00:24:18 and it does say the mother of Elohim
00:24:21 there.
00:24:23 Yeah.
00:24:25 So that okay that’s been changed then
00:24:27 that’s interesting. Uh yes it has. Um I
00:24:32 will historically that was changed by
00:24:35 Joe by Joseph Smith himself. Yeah, I I I
00:24:39 I Okay, a lot of people have various
00:24:42 theories about it. I think um I don’t
00:24:45 know how true they are. The one thing
00:24:46 that is for sure is that he does Joseph
00:24:50 Smith knew the printer made some
00:24:53 mistakes as normal with people
00:24:57 in printing the first edition of the
00:24:58 Book of Mormon. he was trying to go
00:25:00 through and fix it. Um, now there is no
00:25:05 issue with modalism. There’s no issue
00:25:08 here. Some people claim that uh Joseph
00:25:11 Smith was changing his godhead theology.
00:25:15 No, he was not. In fact, uh you can use
00:25:18 lectures on faith five to show that
00:25:20 which came after those changes. It’s
00:25:24 moralism. It’s not a big deal. Okay.
00:25:27 Yeah. Yeah.
00:25:29 But uh
00:25:33 yeah, it it goes back and forth all
00:25:36 everywhere. I mean, it’s Yahweh Elohim.
00:25:40 Yeah, everywhere. Those Elohim’s a
00:25:44 title. So, yeah. Which is judge. Elohim
00:25:48 means judge. Yeah. I I don’t like the
00:25:51 Greek conutations that have been added
00:25:53 to that word by the Hellenists. Yeah.
00:25:56 Well, and when you’re referring to when
00:25:59 you’re referring to the Elohim of heaven
00:26:01 and earth, you’re talking about the
00:26:04 supreme judge. Yes. Correct.
00:26:08 Yes.
00:26:10 Um, okay. So, but this after the manner
00:26:14 of the flesh actually even goes back to
00:26:17 Mosiah 15. Uh, assuming uh Ben is done
00:26:20 with his little sidetrack there. Yeah,
00:26:23 but that Yeah, I’m done with that now.
00:26:25 Okay. All right. So, let me go back to
00:26:28 Mosiah 15. Um,
00:26:32 so and because he dwelleth in the flesh.
00:26:37 So, this so this is going along how that
00:26:41 soul that one soul because here it is
00:26:46 always using singular words throughout
00:26:49 this talking about Yahweh Elohim. No
00:26:52 matter the mode or role here, it’s
00:26:54 simpler.
00:26:56 It’s the one soul.
00:27:00 Yes. Mhm. Uh and it’s he’s doing
00:27:04 different things because
00:27:07 that soul dwelleth in the flesh, he
00:27:11 shall be called.
00:27:14 Oh, wait. That’s like title. I mean, we
00:27:17 can go look at the word called the son
00:27:19 of Elohim. Oh, I should put here uh sun
00:27:23 also means follower. Okay. Yeah. So, and
00:27:27 along with that, before we go look up
00:27:29 the word called, I do want to bring out
00:27:31 um especially in today’s world,
00:27:34 everybody, I mean everybody
00:27:37 complains that leaders
00:27:40 don’t do what they preach.
00:27:45 son of Elohim is saying
00:27:49 here is the man
00:27:52 that followed what he taught.
00:27:58 He is the only one that followed it
00:28:01 completely which is why he could do the
00:28:03 atonement. Okay. Yeah. Um
00:28:08 and and it’s universal within the Hebrew
00:28:11 culture. Even Hebrew culture today calls
00:28:14 followers sons. If you go do go to a
00:28:18 master to learn a trade, you call that
00:28:22 master or teacher father. And that
00:28:26 master or teacher will call you a son or
00:28:30 daughter depending on if you’re male or
00:28:33 Yeah. depending on what the situation
00:28:35 is, right? Yeah. Um, so this is
00:28:42 I’m I’m not making that up. It’s out
00:28:44 there. Son is an idiom for follower.
00:28:47 Father is an idiom for leader. Um, so
00:28:50 it’s called Yeah, let’s go look at
00:28:53 called. Um, but you can see here though,
00:28:56 it’s not saying a different person is
00:28:59 coming down to be the son of Elohim.
00:29:01 Yeah, it is Elohim coming down to be the
00:29:06 son of Elohim.
00:29:08 Yep. It’s one entity, one soul that’s
00:29:13 doing all of this. Okay.
00:29:21 All right.
00:29:24 Let’s see.
00:29:30 Okay. Uh, invited, summoned, addressed,
00:29:35 named,
00:29:36 appointed,
00:29:38 invoked, assembled by order,
00:29:42 and that is uh recited. So there’s
00:29:45 multiple meanings of call, but uh
00:29:50 addressed is it named Oh, it even says
00:29:52 named as in that’s the many names that
00:29:56 he has, right? A appointment or
00:29:59 appointed.
00:30:01 Yeah. Appointed before the world began.
00:30:04 Uhhuh. As in like a calling. His calling
00:30:08 is to be son of Elohim. Yeah. Um which
00:30:13 is the hardest one there is. Um but
00:30:16 yeah,
00:30:17 I’d say you could because he he couldn’t
00:30:20 send once. Um but anyways, um we we
00:30:25 could look at the one call word real
00:30:28 quick. Just
00:30:30 um
00:30:32 a name.
00:30:35 Uh to give a name. Yep. To denominate or
00:30:39 give a name. Uh took to summon. I’m
00:30:42 trying to skip through these to be
00:30:44 quick. To to name
00:30:47 or to proclaim, to appoint or designate.
00:30:50 point to invite uh to own and
00:30:54 acknowledge
00:31:01 that’s a big one there’s
00:31:04 stop
00:31:06 the address so that would be go along
00:31:08 with a name a vocal address y
00:31:12 [Music]
00:31:15 divine vocation
00:31:17 authority that has to So, um, yeah.
00:31:22 Yeah. Well, not so much with this a
00:31:24 name. Naming. Yep.
00:31:32 Okay. So, I think that’s good on those.
00:31:34 Um, so,
00:31:37 uh, to be called someone is to have,
00:31:41 uh,
00:31:42 that name, right? Yeah.
00:31:47 All right. Point.
00:31:49 Mhm.
00:31:50 Uh, so
00:31:52 it’s this he singular. In fact, I’m
00:31:55 going to go put that in the notes,
00:31:56 right?
00:31:58 Yeah.
00:32:00 Went and dwelled in the flesh. Okay.
00:32:03 Sorry, I I think I interjected was it
00:32:06 John?
00:32:07 Uh, yeah. So, and having subjected the
00:32:10 flesh to the will or Torah of the father
00:32:15 or the will of the father, i.e. the mind
00:32:17 and will of Elohim, the Holy Spirit.
00:32:22 Yeah. So, and we could go look at Oh,
00:32:26 sorry. Did you finish, Ben? I’d like
00:32:28 just give it the complete treatment.
00:32:31 Yeah. Yeah. So, let’s go look up
00:32:33 subjected. Okay. Yeah.
00:32:38 Because the these definitions are a very
00:32:42 big deal. So, let me share and let me
00:32:49 um just pause for a second.
00:32:54 Okay. So, John, did you want to read
00:32:56 subjected? Yeah. Reduced to the dominion
00:32:59 of another, enslaved, exposed,
00:33:02 submitted, made to undergo.
00:33:07 All right, let’s um so I I I mean that
00:33:11 makes sense to me, but let’s go read
00:33:13 some sub subject blah. We’re going to
00:33:15 get some additional things that don’t
00:33:17 have a past tense in it. But anyways,
00:33:22 we’re situated under
00:33:25 being under the power and dominion of
00:33:27 another has to make a subject. Okay.
00:33:30 Exposed liable from extraneous causes.
00:33:34 Liable from inherent causes. Well, so to
00:33:37 subject the flesh to the spirit is to
00:33:39 place the flesh under the dominion of
00:33:41 the spirit. Uh or subject noun would be
00:33:44 one that owes allegiance to a sovereign
00:33:46 and is governed by his laws.
00:33:49 Uh well ju just and I do agree what
00:33:52 you’re saying. Um and it says that in a
00:33:56 different place, but in this location it
00:33:58 says subject the flesh to the will,
00:34:00 which is going to be Yeah. Yeah. Got it.
00:34:03 I mean, it’s a technicality, but I I do
00:34:05 agree with
00:34:07 you’re right. It’s not the best way to
00:34:09 go go. Well, um,
00:34:16 our our spirit or soul needs to be the
00:34:20 master of the flesh. So, I do agree with
00:34:22 you. It’s just not that’s not what that
00:34:24 verse particularly says, right?
00:34:30 Um,
00:34:33 so I do like number six, obedient.
00:34:36 Yes.
00:34:40 Uh, go down a little bit for the follow
00:34:43 allegiance to mean you follow it, right?
00:34:47 Mhm.
00:34:48 Uh, that which mental operation is
00:34:51 performed. So it’s um on that which any
00:34:55 physical operation is performed. shall
00:34:58 do things according to
00:35:00 and that which it inherits. That’s not
00:35:03 one. Uh
00:35:08 bring to under the power or dominion.
00:35:12 Yep. Within under the power of enslave
00:35:15 or as in listen to.
00:35:19 Um that one’s not to submit. Right.
00:35:24 To makeable. I think that’s interesting
00:35:27 to make it
00:35:30 subservient.
00:35:33 Yes, that word.
00:35:36 So,
00:35:37 um, so let’s go back.
00:35:41 Oh, no, that one.
00:35:44 So um and having subjected the flesh. So
00:35:48 the flesh
00:35:50 or mortal
00:35:52 is going to be subjected or commanded to
00:35:56 do something
00:35:59 and that’s the will. So let’s let’s go
00:36:02 look on lecture on faith to find out
00:36:04 what will is. Okay.
00:36:07 Um and I’m going to let Ben do this one
00:36:10 because I know it’s one of his
00:36:11 favorites. Yes. Can I Okay, that works.
00:36:15 We’re gonna try. Oh, come on.
00:36:21 Let’s see. Uh, a bit
00:36:26 there. And then I will highlight. Well,
00:36:32 uh, let’s see. It’s in that big verse,
00:36:34 too. Yeah. Why didn’t it
00:36:38 I’m a little No, it’s in question 13.
00:36:41 Oh, I guess the wheel’s just in
00:36:43 questions, but we we can here. I’m going
00:36:45 to pause for just one second. We’ll find
00:36:46 out what Ben wants to read because I’m I
00:36:48 put this on um out of nowhere. So, give
00:36:52 me one second.
00:36:55 Okay. So, I’m going to read uh the
00:36:58 probably the last half of probably the
00:37:00 longest verse in scripture. Yeah. So,
00:37:03 this is lectures on faith 52. And then
00:37:06 we’re going to read a succinct question
00:37:08 and answer after that because it this is
00:37:11 a very important thing to get to get
00:37:13 your head around is the identity of the
00:37:15 Holy Spirit. No. And he being the so and
00:37:20 he the son being the only begotten of
00:37:23 the father or Elohim full of grace and
00:37:26 truth and having overcome received a
00:37:28 fullness of the glor received a fullness
00:37:31 of the glory of the father. Wait a
00:37:33 minute. Did didn’t we talk about
00:37:35 something that goes with this earlier?
00:37:37 Yeah, we did. Oh, okay. That he
00:37:39 possessing the same possessing the same
00:37:42 mind with the father. Which mind is the
00:37:46 Holy Spirit? Oh, wait, wait a minute.
00:37:49 So,
00:37:51 just to reiterate this because I know
00:37:54 this gets goes against a lot of
00:37:56 traditions.
00:37:58 The Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost is not a
00:38:02 soul.
00:38:04 No, it is the
00:38:07 it is the revealed mind. It is the mind
00:38:11 and will of a soul.
00:38:13 And that soul is uh Yeshua who is also
00:38:19 Yahweh Elohim. Yeah. Sorry. Give me
00:38:24 Yep. So,
00:38:27 okay.
00:38:29 Now, you’re right there. Yeah. that
00:38:32 bears record. Okay. So, this is what the
00:38:34 holy this is what the holy spirit does
00:38:36 that bears record of the father and the
00:38:39 son. Yeah. I I I I do want to rudely
00:38:42 interject that when you understand
00:38:44 Torah,
00:38:46 it does that it does testify those two
00:38:49 modes. And for instance, the story of
00:38:53 the story of Abraham and Isaac in the
00:38:58 in the new translation of Genesis.
00:39:01 Correct. In fact, both part the father
00:39:04 and the son was there at the cross
00:39:06 because the son is the flesh.
00:39:09 He had to show it could be done. Yeah.
00:39:13 In the flesh.
00:39:15 And these three are one. Or in other
00:39:17 words, these three constitute the great
00:39:21 matchless governing and supreme power
00:39:24 over all things. These three are one.
00:39:28 Uh again, Deuteron I point you back to
00:39:30 Deuteronomy chapter 6
00:39:33 or or is it 4 verse is either 6:4 or
00:39:36 4:6? It’s the shama here. O Israel, the
00:39:41 Lord thy God is one God. Uh and they
00:39:45 according to the King James version.
00:39:47 Yeah. These are three different parts of
00:39:51 Yahw of the one being, right? the He’s
00:39:55 the leader.
00:39:57 He is the perfect example. He’s the
00:40:00 leader. He’s the perfect follower. And
00:40:03 he is the revelator. The s the mind.
00:40:07 Yeah. He is the one that came up with
00:40:09 this.
00:40:11 It is his mind and will that we are to
00:40:13 keep, not our own. Yeah. Sorry. Nobody
00:40:17 gets their own Nobody gets their own
00:40:19 personal commandments because he’s not a
00:40:21 respector of persons. The same wisdom,
00:40:24 glory, power, and fullness filling all
00:40:26 in all. The son being filled with the
00:40:28 fullness of the mind of the mind, glory
00:40:32 and power, or in other words, the
00:40:33 spirit, glory and power of the father,
00:40:38 possessing all knowledge and glory and
00:40:41 the same kingdom, sitting at the right
00:40:43 hand of power, or in other words, having
00:40:46 the same power. That’s what it means.
00:40:48 That’s what that Hebrew idiom means is
00:40:51 to have the same power. To sit to sit on
00:40:53 the right hand is to have the same power
00:40:55 in the express image
00:40:58 and likeness of the father. The only way
00:40:59 that you can be in the express image and
00:41:01 likeness of something is to be that
00:41:03 thing. Yeah. Yeah. That’s why he’s the
00:41:08 expressed image because it is that one
00:41:10 soul. Yeah. a mediator for man being
00:41:14 filled with the fullness of the mind of
00:41:16 the father or in other words the spirit
00:41:18 of the father. See they’re repeat he’s
00:41:20 repeating himself because and the reason
00:41:22 he’s repeating himself is because Yahwa
00:41:24 understands
00:41:26 uh and of therefore his servants
00:41:28 understand that human beings need
00:41:30 repetition.
00:41:33 Yeah. In addition, um, having it said
00:41:36 slightly a different way helps cover up
00:41:40 any holes someone might try to imagine
00:41:42 there is
00:41:44 mind of the father or in other words the
00:41:46 spirit of the father which spirit which
00:41:48 spirit is shed forth upon all who
00:41:51 believe on his name and keep his
00:41:53 commandments. So I would like to
00:41:54 understand how a personage is uh dropped
00:41:58 on everybody on everybody who keeps
00:42:01 commandments. Well, it’s person. How?
00:42:04 Because here’s the thing. No matter how
00:42:07 many actors in a play might be playing
00:42:09 multiple roles,
00:42:12 they’re not the same roles as any other
00:42:14 actor is playing.
00:42:17 Correct. In addition, I it’s using
00:42:21 spirit and mind interchangeably here.
00:42:23 Okay. Yes. It’s using spirit and mind
00:42:25 interchangeably. So that therefore the
00:42:30 Oh, go ahead. Keep talking. I can’t see.
00:42:32 I I can’t read. Oh, okay. Do you want
00:42:35 Sorry, it’s not there. Um, yeah. Uh,
00:42:38 therefore, it is that is it is the mind
00:42:42 of Elohim that is shed forth upon all
00:42:44 those who believe on his name and keep
00:42:46 his commandments. And all those who keep
00:42:47 his commandments shall grow up from
00:42:49 grace to grace. By the way, grace to
00:42:52 grace means growing from justification
00:42:54 to sanctification. There’s lots of
00:42:57 people who’ve been justified
00:43:00 but never got past that.
00:43:02 Yeah. So, they didn’t keep the
00:43:04 commandments.
00:43:05 Uh, part of grace is mercy. So, it’s
00:43:09 it’s talking about going from the
00:43:13 starting point of grace, which is mercy,
00:43:16 justification, to the ultimate grace,
00:43:20 which is sanctification or eternal life,
00:43:23 celestial glory, among many other names
00:43:26 it has. Okay. Yeah. and become hes of
00:43:29 the heavenly kingdom and joint hes with
00:43:31 Yeshua Hamashiach, possessing the same
00:43:34 mind,
00:43:36 the mind and will of Elohim, being
00:43:39 transformed into the same image or
00:43:41 likeness. Not meaning that we look
00:43:43 exactly the same, but that we because
00:43:45 this doesn’t say the express same in the
00:43:48 same image or likeness. That means that
00:43:49 we have we have that we have that same
00:43:52 glory because we’re living in the same
00:43:54 level of righteousness. Right? This is
00:43:56 talking about us because we’re the ones
00:43:58 that are becoming heirs, right? And we
00:44:01 are the ones that are becoming because
00:44:03 Yeshua did not become, right? He already
00:44:07 was because um he was prepared from the
00:44:12 foundation of the world. He didn’t have
00:44:13 to go. He was the lamb. He was the lamb
00:44:16 chosen before the foundation of the
00:44:18 world, right? He he he when he came
00:44:21 down, he was ready. There was no
00:44:23 becoming.
00:44:25 Even the okay so yeah so we’re the ones
00:44:27 who become okay uh joints with we become
00:44:31 joint hes with Yeshua Hamashiach
00:44:34 possessing the same mind being
00:44:35 transformed in the same image or
00:44:36 likeness even the express image of him
00:44:39 who fills all in all that it’s that
00:44:42 meaning we’d have the same we have the
00:44:44 same glory being fil now look look at
00:44:46 this even the express image of him it’s
00:44:50 not they it’s him it’s a singular that’s
00:44:54 a singular right there, not a plural. I
00:44:56 should probably put that in some gliss,
00:44:58 but anyways, I’ll do that later. Who
00:44:59 fills all in all,
00:45:02 being filled with the fullness of his
00:45:04 glory, become one in him, even as the
00:45:09 even as the father, son, and holy spirit
00:45:12 are one.
00:45:14 As in uh here we as Yeshua made his
00:45:19 father’s gospel his own,
00:45:23 so are we.
00:45:25 to make it our own as we and that can
00:45:29 happen that will happen as we receive
00:45:31 the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
00:45:34 Yes. Now, one thing uh Oh, yeah. Um if
00:45:38 you’re done with this little verse
00:45:40 before you go to question answers, I do
00:45:41 want to look at the definition of
00:45:43 spirit. Okay. Okay. Yep. And show how it
00:45:48 one of its definitions is behavior. I
00:45:50 I’m going to pause because I always
00:45:51 forget which one it is. So, I don’t want
00:45:53 to have a whole bunch of dead time.
00:45:57 Okay. So, we found the ones we want to
00:45:58 bring out just so that way we’re not
00:46:00 spending time reading them all. But, uh,
00:46:03 the first one is number four under noun.
00:46:07 Just so people are worried about that.
00:46:10 Temper.
00:46:12 That’s uh how you’re acting, right?
00:46:14 Disposition of mind. That’s
00:46:18 your overall behavior.
00:46:21 Yeah. that all of these things are only
00:46:24 visible through your behavior. Yeah. Or
00:46:26 your actions, right?
00:46:29 Uh pertinent as in habitual or temporary
00:46:33 as a man of generous spirit.
00:46:37 Uh someone man of generous behavior.
00:46:40 Yeah. As in they’re always giving things
00:46:43 or revengeful behavior.
00:46:46 I know it says spirit there, but I mean
00:46:48 they shouldn’t define a word with a
00:46:50 word, but well and and to go along with
00:46:52 this definition, what is it that uh what
00:46:55 is it that we say when um what is it we
00:46:58 say when people start to get excited
00:47:00 about the about an idea that we present
00:47:02 to them? That’s the spirit. Yeah. Yeah.
00:47:05 Yeah.
00:47:07 But I think that might go better with
00:47:08 14. Uh sure. Sure. Now, one thing here’s
00:47:12 a a real good thing. The ornament of a
00:47:15 meek. And meek is righteous or holy.
00:47:20 Yes. And quiet behavior. Let us go to
00:47:25 the house of Elohim and the behavior of
00:47:28 prayer. So, uh, yes, I know I did some
00:47:31 replacements there, but those words
00:47:33 above it or before it, I do support
00:47:36 that. So, I’ll let Ben do 14.
00:47:41 Okay. So, here it is. excitement of
00:47:43 mind, animation, cheerfulness,
00:47:47 usually in the plural. We found our
00:47:49 friend in very good spirits.
00:47:51 Um, yeah. And that and that that that
00:47:54 thing that I brought forward earlier
00:47:56 that really goes well with this. That’s
00:47:58 the spirit. That’s the behavior. That’s
00:48:00 the way we want that’s the way we want
00:48:02 you to be involved in this. Right. It’s
00:48:04 also kind of goes along with attitude
00:48:06 also, right? Yes. So, so it’s also
00:48:09 pointing out that we don’t just obey to
00:48:12 obey. We obey in the right attitude. Um,
00:48:15 yeah, which Moroni 7 talks about. But
00:48:18 anyways, and then of course here down in
00:48:22 the uh verb aspect, it’s to animate with
00:48:25 vigor, uh to excite, uh to encourage
00:48:31 um and so
00:48:34 and so the all of those
00:48:38 move towards action.
00:48:41 Yes. Animate to animate is to make
00:48:44 active.
00:48:47 Yeah. And so the mind and will of Yahw
00:48:51 is teaching us how he wants us to behave
00:48:57 to be holy like he is holy. Now also to
00:49:02 help go along with this um in addition
00:49:05 to the holy uh Yahw in Genesis breathed
00:49:09 the spirit into man.
00:49:12 spirit also in uh places uh goes along
00:49:16 with the Holy Spirit or Torah, the word.
00:49:20 Yeah. And it’s that spirit that made him
00:49:24 a And it’s that spirit that made him a
00:49:26 living soul. Yeah. A living soul, not a
00:49:30 dead soul. And there is a difference.
00:49:32 The living soul is the one that has
00:49:34 eternal life versus the dead soul
00:49:38 uh which has separation from Yahw which
00:49:42 is someone who goes to hell. Okay. Right
00:49:46 now I I now this is a little here we
00:49:50 want to go read question and answer 13.
00:49:53 Yeah because this this is just a simple
00:49:56 restatement of what we kind of read up
00:49:58 above. Do the father and the son possess
00:50:01 the same mind? The answer is they do.
00:50:04 And this is found in John 5:30.
00:50:09 I, yeshua, can of my own self do
00:50:13 nothing. As I hear, I judge, and my
00:50:16 judgment is just because I seek not my
00:50:19 own will, but the will of the father who
00:50:23 sent me. This is Joseph Smith using this
00:50:26 verse to teach modalism
00:50:30 because
00:50:34 he what he’s saying is because I seek
00:50:36 not my the will of my flesh but the will
00:50:40 of the spirit.
00:50:43 John 6:38, “For I, Yeshua, came down
00:50:47 from heaven, not to do mine own will,
00:50:50 but the will of him that sent me, to act
00:50:55 according to the Holy Spirit, the mind
00:50:58 and will of Elohim.”
00:51:01 Yeah. John 10:30. I, Yeshua, and my
00:51:07 father
00:51:09 Yah.
00:51:15 Yeah. So this is uh pointing how the
00:51:18 mind is the same as the wheel here,
00:51:21 right?
00:51:23 Um
00:51:24 so I want to do one quick side check
00:51:26 while we’re here.
00:51:28 Um
00:51:30 so I could do these. Question three. How
00:51:34 many personages or exterior exterior
00:51:38 appearance are there in the godhead?
00:51:41 Yeah. Two, not three. Two. The father
00:51:45 and the son. Yeah.
00:51:49 Uh, how many how do you prove there are
00:51:52 two exterior appearances in the godhead?
00:51:55 By the scriptures. Uh, we don’t need to
00:51:58 read them. I just want to bring out how
00:52:00 it says two. And then at in verse two at
00:52:03 the beginning there are two not three
00:52:06 exterior appearances who constitute the
00:52:09 great mattress governing supreme power
00:52:11 of all things.
00:52:13 Okay. Um, so one one thing I um
00:52:21 so to help with this will issue here, I
00:52:24 I do I do think I will show one of my
00:52:27 favorite verses from the Book of Mormon
00:52:28 on this. Uh, and it’s Moroni
00:52:32 7.
00:52:34 It’s verse one or two. We’ll find out.
00:52:38 Oh, wait. I can reuse this one. Um, so
00:52:42 Moroni, right? Seven. Yes,
00:52:47 it’s one or two. Oh, it’s two. There it
00:52:50 is. Um,
00:52:53 I I’ll read it. And now I, Mormon, speak
00:52:57 unto you, my beloved brethren. And it is
00:53:01 by the grace of Elohim the Father
00:53:05 and
00:53:06 Yahweh Yeshua the Messiah.
00:53:10 So there’s the two personages and his
00:53:13 holy will, which we just went over uh
00:53:17 how that Joseph Smith defined it. That’s
00:53:20 the Holy Spirit.
00:53:22 So there’s the Godhead. Every member of
00:53:26 the Godhead there
00:53:28 and it’s his holy will is the third
00:53:31 member. Yes.
00:53:34 Because of the gift of his calling unto
00:53:36 me. Uh, and look, it’s his, not there,
00:53:41 singular, not plural, unto me that I am
00:53:45 permitted to speak unto you at this
00:53:47 time.
00:53:48 That’s modalism when you know what to
00:53:50 see, look for there. Um, all right. So,
00:53:55 I do think uh we can go back to Mosiah
00:53:58 15 now. Yes. Yes.
00:54:02 All right. So I think we just
00:54:05 did this part right here and subjected
00:54:08 the flesh
00:54:10 to Torah. Yep. Of the father. Yes. So
00:54:16 the leader and then the ultimate
00:54:18 statement the clarifying statement in be
00:54:20 in the line BC being the father and the
00:54:24 son. Oh what what there’s the great
00:54:28 clarifier.
00:54:31 He is the father and the son. He is the
00:54:35 leader and the follower. Yeah. He is
00:54:41 both roles. Yeah. He Yes. This is
00:54:45 singular. One soul doing both. Yes.
00:54:51 Now is not two different souls. This is
00:54:54 one soul doing both. In fact, throughout
00:54:57 this whole thing, singular singular
00:55:01 singular singular. Yes.
00:55:04 Uh John, you Oh, wait. You just read,
00:55:07 right? I can I can continue. It’s want
00:55:10 to point out really quick. Yeah. He
00:55:12 already was the father, but it says
00:55:15 becoming the father and the son. He had
00:55:17 to come down to earth to become the son.
00:55:20 Being the father and the son. Yeah.
00:55:23 Well, so verse three brings up when he
00:55:27 became the father. Uh, which we’re just
00:55:29 about to Yeah, we were about to start.
00:55:31 We’re about to start that. So, the
00:55:35 father
00:55:37 because he was conceived. Oh, wait, wait
00:55:41 a minute. So, we’re I’m going to copy
00:55:43 this. We’re going to go look at
00:55:46 um What does conceive mean? Okay.
00:55:51 be a child. Uh, that is one of the
00:55:55 definitions. Um,
00:55:59 it’s not the only definition.
00:56:02 Oh, no, I know that. Um, but but I I’m
00:56:05 apparently going to the I’m going to the
00:56:09 LDS/Christian
00:56:11 mindset
00:56:12 where we have almost nothing better to
00:56:15 do than think about
00:56:17 holy lust. Uh but anyway, and I hate to
00:56:20 put it that way, but yeah. Well, uh
00:56:22 okay, so since you bring that up, uh the
00:56:24 Bergamites do have a problem with that,
00:56:26 and I think a lot of it stems from the
00:56:28 abomination known as polygamy. Uh but
00:56:32 anyways, uh enough on that one. So,
00:56:35 exactly. But that does go with number uh
00:56:38 definition one
00:56:41 to Yeah, it does go with what the
00:56:43 definition I gave is the very very first
00:56:45 definition ever given, conceive.
00:56:48 Yeah. To to form in the mind to imagine
00:56:52 to devise. Oh, wait. As in to conceive a
00:56:56 plan. Maybe to devise Torah and
00:57:00 a means of redemption.
00:57:03 Yeah, he formed it in his mind.
00:57:06 Yeah, he figured it out. To form an idea
00:57:10 in the mind.
00:57:11 I wholeheartedly agree with Ben. Oh, I
00:57:14 do too. I I am the one that taught it to
00:57:16 him.
00:57:17 But I I do want to re-emphasize this.
00:57:21 He figured it out.
00:57:24 Yeah.
00:57:27 And there’s a new translation that shows
00:57:29 that too that we can talk about after we
00:57:31 go through this. Okay. I do love the
00:57:33 verb verb intransitive definition to
00:57:36 think to have a conception of or
00:57:39 conception or idea.
00:57:43 Yes. And then also in number three on
00:57:46 under conceive to understand to
00:57:48 comprehend to have a complete idea of as
00:57:52 I cannot conceive by what I cannot
00:57:54 conceive by what means this event has
00:57:57 been produced. But in this case he did
00:58:00 have an idea.
00:58:02 Yeah. So on on these number three we
00:58:05 skipped to form an idea in the mind.
00:58:07 Yeah. to understand, comprehend, and
00:58:09 then four, to think, to be of the
00:58:11 opinion, have an idea, to imag, excuse
00:58:14 me, to imagine. Um, so let’s go back to
00:58:17 this here.
00:58:19 Uh, make sure I’m not, you know, kind of
00:58:22 just pulling stuff out or trying to, you
00:58:25 know, curve fit or anything, you know,
00:58:28 right? The father, so he became the
00:58:32 leader,
00:58:33 right? Yeah.
00:58:36 Because he and this is talking to the
00:58:40 father
00:58:42 was conceived
00:58:44 as in he came up with the idea there was
00:58:48 a start.
00:58:51 Yeah.
00:58:54 Because to be conceived
00:58:56 means there is a beginning.
00:59:00 Yes. So this idea the father of the
00:59:04 leader came about
00:59:08 and it came about because of the power
00:59:12 of Elohim. Now
00:59:16 without some additional stuff which we
00:59:18 can get into the power of Elohim is
00:59:21 Torah. Okay.
00:59:23 So um
00:59:27 maybe we should get into that. Okay.
00:59:31 Uh, so let me pause for a minute. Let’s
00:59:33 find out the best notes I have on this.
00:59:36 Okay. Okay. So, I found where I wanted
00:59:40 to uh where I have some notes. Um, and
00:59:44 we don’t have to look at all of these,
00:59:45 but if anybody wants them, I’m happy to
00:59:48 share them. In fact, I should probably
00:59:50 make a resource page. Um, anyways, um,
00:59:54 there’s a lot of things I need to do,
00:59:56 but um, here I am sharing. So on this
01:00:00 idea how Torah is the power of Elohim.
01:00:03 Okay.
01:00:05 So let’s just look through some of these
01:00:07 and see what happens. I I generally
01:00:09 speaking I try to put the good ones at
01:00:11 the top. I don’t always do that. So
01:00:12 we’ll start with the top. Yes. This is a
01:00:16 silly idea. Usually a very nice place to
01:00:19 start. Yeah. Are you able to to read,
01:00:22 Andrew?
01:00:24 Yeah, I can read. Yeah. So maybe just
01:00:26 read the first one. 2 Nephi 126. Hold
01:00:30 on. 2 Nephi 126. I for some reason I’m
01:00:35 not able to adjust.
01:00:39 Okay. Well, I’ll just read it then.
01:00:41 That’s fine. Sorry, it’s not working on
01:00:44 my screen. Well,
01:00:46 uh, so and ye have murmured. This is uh
01:00:50 Lehi uh speaking to Layman and Lemu.
01:00:53 Okay. And ye lame and Daniel have
01:00:56 murmured because he Nephi have been
01:01:00 playing which is an idiom for Torah. So
01:01:04 was preaching Torah on to you. And I
01:01:08 have a post um
01:01:11 all things you should do that gets into
01:01:14 showing the verses from the Old
01:01:17 Testament, specifically the first five
01:01:19 books of Moses that brings out how plain
01:01:22 is Torah unto you. Ye shall say that
01:01:26 Nephi hath used sharpness. Oh. Um, so a
01:01:32 spear is symbolic of
01:01:35 the Holy Spirit because it pierces
01:01:39 you. It gets through the flesh to the
01:01:42 spirit. Okay. Yeah.
01:01:45 Uh, ye say that Nephi hath been angry
01:01:50 with you.
01:01:52 But behold, I Lehi
01:01:55 say his Nephi’s sharpness was the
01:01:59 sharpness of the power of the word of
01:02:02 Elohim. Okay. So, the power of the word.
01:02:07 What is the word?
01:02:10 Torah. It’s Torah. I got to put this in
01:02:13 the right spot here. Um, now,
01:02:16 so with this, we need to define Torah
01:02:19 here. Okay, I know this is probably a
01:02:22 lot of
01:02:23 overload, and I’m not trying to overload
01:02:26 here. It’s just
01:02:31 this is deep and profound and will
01:02:33 actually resolve a lot of issues. Okay,
01:02:36 even just the fact that
01:02:41 God is not the best translation. Um,
01:02:44 give me one second. I need to pause.
01:02:46 Okay.
01:02:49 Okay. So, um, the the definition of
01:02:53 Torah,
01:02:55 it is every word that proceeds out of
01:02:57 the mouth of Yahw, which we are supposed
01:02:59 to live by, that is not a prescribed
01:03:03 punishment.
01:03:04 So, um,
01:03:09 so most people think Torah is just
01:03:13 the first five books of Moses. It’s not.
01:03:18 Um,
01:03:20 Yeshua stated
01:03:22 that the other part of one part of the
01:03:25 Old Testament is Torah and Paul brought
01:03:28 out how the other part of the Old
01:03:31 Testament is Torah. Give me one second
01:03:33 to find it.
01:03:37 Okay, so I found my notes. So,
01:03:42 uh, Yeshua stated that the writings of
01:03:46 the Old Testament
01:03:48 was Torah. Okay. So, here here’s Yeshua
01:03:52 speaking in John 10:34. Yeshua answered
01:03:56 them. I believe it’s the Pharisees and
01:03:58 Sares or one of them. Anyways, is it not
01:04:01 written in your Torah?
01:04:05 I have said ye are
01:04:09 this is Judges. Um anyways, quoting
01:04:13 Psalms 82:6. I that’s going to be Yahweh
01:04:18 have said ye are
01:04:22 judges.
01:04:23 All of you are children
01:04:27 which is followers
01:04:29 of the most high which is Yahweh.
01:04:34 So the followers of Elohim are to be
01:04:38 judges
01:04:41 and and simply that we are to judge
01:04:44 right from wrong and we do that by the
01:04:48 law Torah. Okay.
01:04:51 So, um, here’s the whole verse. We don’t
01:04:54 have to get into it, but anyways, even
01:04:57 the Greek goes into being judges
01:05:01 and not, um,
01:05:04 Greek gods. Um, so anyways, uh, as I
01:05:10 have some notes there right there with
01:05:11 the Greek, uh, 23:16, Theos, but
01:05:14 anyways, um, now
01:05:19 um, with Paul
01:05:22 uh, in 1 Corinthians 14:21,
01:05:25 maybe John will read this one so I’m not
01:05:28 the only one talking. Yes.
01:05:31 In the law it is written, with men of
01:05:34 other tongues and other lips will I
01:05:37 speak unto this people, and yet for all
01:05:40 that will they not hear me, saith Yahwa.
01:05:44 Uh
01:05:46 so uh Paul was quoting Isaiah 28 through
01:05:50 111 to do that and he’s saying is it in
01:05:55 Torah?
01:05:57 Okay.
01:05:59 Um, now we don’t I here’s kaiosins I’ve
01:06:02 done cuz I’m addicted to those things.
01:06:04 But anyways, that’s another subject. The
01:06:06 main point here is how
01:06:09 uh Paul was stating that the prophet
01:06:13 section of the Old Testament is Torah.
01:06:16 Yeshua was stating the writings part of
01:06:18 the Old Testament is Torah. I’m going to
01:06:21 add some more. I’m going to say Book of
01:06:23 Mormon is Torah. And I’m going to say
01:06:25 the doctrine, most of the doctrine in
01:06:27 covenants is Torah because some of it’s
01:06:29 not authentic, but that’s a whole
01:06:31 another subject. I’ll
01:06:35 um so but this goes along with my
01:06:38 definition of Torah. That is every word
01:06:40 of Yah
01:06:42 that is not a prescribed punishment. As
01:06:45 in when you break his Torah, you’re
01:06:49 given a punishment and that punishment
01:06:51 becomes law for you or that group. Okay.
01:06:54 Yeah. And it does not have to be
01:06:57 eternal.
01:06:59 Um because if punishment was eternal, I
01:07:02 would go to hell because I I I think we
01:07:06 all would, Stephen. Oh, yeah. Well,
01:07:08 except for one. Oh, yeah. Because he was
01:07:11 perfect in every way. Yeah. Oh, and in
01:07:14 fact, just on that point, perfect is an
01:07:16 idiom for Torah because
01:07:18 um
01:07:20 I can’t remember it’s in Psalms or
01:07:22 Proverbs that it brings out how it’s
01:07:24 just perfect Torah. So, um yes. So, oh
01:07:30 yeah, sis, now we need to go back to
01:07:32 Holy Spirit and Okay, so that was um a
01:07:37 big word for that was a lot of sidetrack
01:07:39 for just Torah. Okay. Yes. But then that
01:07:44 is important because the holy because
01:07:46 Torah is the revelation of the Holy
01:07:48 Spirit.
01:07:50 Yes. Which is word. It is Yahweh’s word
01:07:56 is his Torah. Okay. And that’s what I
01:07:59 was kind of getting to because we’re
01:08:00 supposed to live by every word. Not just
01:08:02 your favorite words of Yahw, but every
01:08:05 word of Yah. Okay. And and look how that
01:08:09 word is the power.
01:08:12 Yeah.
01:08:14 It’s the word that’s the power.
01:08:18 Which was in him perhaps because it was
01:08:21 the ma mind and will
01:08:26 and that which ye call anger was the
01:08:30 truth
01:08:32 according to that which is in Elohim.
01:08:35 Oh, like the mind is in Elohim as we
01:08:39 went over on lectures on faith five
01:08:42 which he Oh, go ahead, Ben. Just like go
01:08:45 figure.
01:08:48 Which he could not restrain,
01:08:51 meaning he couldn’t hold back. Yeah.
01:08:55 Manifesting boldly.
01:08:58 Oh, wait. Not not weekly. Yeah. not like
01:09:02 well if he sort of kind of maybe could
01:09:05 that would be nice sort of repent of
01:09:09 your you know minor the minor sins and
01:09:14 annoyances that I’m seeing you guys
01:09:16 doing you know he’s not wishy-washy he’s
01:09:19 just cutting straight to the heart of
01:09:20 the matter and saying this behavior is
01:09:23 wrong yeah and he’s not being a
01:09:25 peacekeeper
01:09:26 as what many people misclassify
01:09:30 as
01:09:31 Peacemaker. Okay.
01:09:34 Yes. Uh he he’s ruffling their
01:09:40 He’s airing out their dirty laundry to
01:09:42 them. Yeah. Yeah. They have their dirty
01:09:44 laundry hanging out on the on the
01:09:46 clothes line. He’s saying that’s dirty.
01:09:49 Yeah. Yeah. But okay. So the main thing
01:09:51 here is the power of the word or Torah,
01:09:53 right?
01:09:55 Okay. Uh you want to do fourth Nephi 30?
01:09:58 Chapter 1 verse 30. Yeah, sure. Um,
01:10:03 therefore they did exercise power and
01:10:06 authority over the disciples of Yeshua
01:10:08 who did carry with them and they did
01:10:10 cast them into the p into prison. But by
01:10:14 the power of the word
01:10:17 Torah of Elohim
01:10:20 which was in them, the prisons were rent
01:10:23 and twain, and they went forth doing
01:10:25 mighty miracles among them.
01:10:29 Okay. So, there’s another example.
01:10:31 There’s the power of the word or Torah.
01:10:33 Now, I’m going to find one where it’s
01:10:34 the power of the Holy Ghost, which is
01:10:37 the Holy Spirit, right? Yep. So, uh,
01:10:41 Ben, you want to come over and read one?
01:10:44 Yeah, sure. You might want to hit pause.
01:10:46 You might want to pause.
01:10:50 Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow. You’re good. Okay.
01:10:57 And it came to pass after I, Nephi,
01:11:01 having heard of all the words of my
01:11:03 father, concerning the things which he
01:11:08 saw in a vision, and also the things
01:11:11 which he spake by the power of the of
01:11:14 the Holy Ghost or the Ruak Hakadesh,
01:11:17 which power he received by faith in the
01:11:23 son of Elohim on the son. Yes. On the
01:11:26 son. Whatever. And the son and the son
01:11:28 of Elohim. Uh
01:11:32 what was the was the Messiah who shall
01:11:35 come. I Nephi was desirous also that I
01:11:39 might see and hear and know these things
01:11:43 by the power of the Rahadesh
01:11:46 which is the gift of Elohim unto all
01:11:50 those who diligently seek him.
01:11:54 That doesn’t mean that you do it once in
01:11:56 a while or that you occasionally you get
01:11:58 down on your knees and you and you pray
01:12:02 but get a commandment for the day. No,
01:12:05 diligently seek him means that you seek
01:12:09 him in his word
01:12:11 and that you apply his word in your life
01:12:14 as well in times of old as in times to
01:12:17 come or as in the times that he should
01:12:21 manifest himself onto the children of
01:12:23 men. So yeah, he’s he’s going to he’s
01:12:26 going to show
01:12:28 if you will obey Torah, he will show you
01:12:30 things that are beyond your imagination,
01:12:33 but only those things which are in his
01:12:34 mind and will. But most importantly, by
01:12:37 the power of his by the power of the
01:12:41 which is the Holy Spirit, which
01:12:45 revelation is found in Torah. So um real
01:12:49 quick on this, the fact that Holy Spirit
01:12:51 and the Holy Ghost are the same. I have
01:12:53 a post from the Book of Mormon that
01:12:55 shows that. Now, from
01:12:59 the Greek New Testament, I’ve looked at
01:13:02 this where it says Holy Spirit and Holy
01:13:04 Ghost.
01:13:05 Um, the word behind ghost and spirit is
01:13:09 always the same. It’s a translator bias.
01:13:13 That’s all it is. Uh, and there’s
01:13:16 overlap in the word ghost and spirit
01:13:18 also. Now, I do not think ghost is the
01:13:21 best translation. I prefer spirit, but
01:13:25 the New Testament
01:13:27 is primarily ghost. And the Book of
01:13:30 Mormon was translated using the language
01:13:33 of the King James Bible. Okay. So, and
01:13:36 so you find a lot of references in there
01:13:38 to the Holy Ghost, but you find a a fair
01:13:41 number to the Holy Spirit, too. Yes. And
01:13:45 I in my one post, the Holy Ghost and the
01:13:47 Holy Spirit are the same, which I’ll
01:13:49 give a link to uh I think it shows it’s
01:13:53 been a while. I think 16 attributes
01:13:56 where it shows that they’re exactly the
01:13:58 same thing. Okay. Yeah. Um now you can
01:14:02 see there’s multiple of those that say
01:14:03 holy by the power of the Holy Ghost. Um
01:14:08 I’m trying to see if there’s one of the
01:14:09 Holy Spirit because I don’t remember.
01:14:11 But for me it’s the same thing.
01:14:14 Oh yeah, one other thing I want to bring
01:14:16 out in that verse before I forget. The
01:14:18 gift of Elohim. Now, uh, scriptures and
01:14:22 the Hebrews say that Torah is a gift
01:14:26 from Yahw.
01:14:30 He didn’t have to give it.
01:14:33 No, he didn’t. But as brought out inh
01:14:38 I forget
01:14:40 Abraham or Moses how he saw that there
01:14:43 were other spirits or souls or
01:14:47 intelligences
01:14:48 that were um
01:14:52 that needed teaching. This is this not
01:14:55 exact quote, right? And so he took it
01:14:58 upon himself to help them, right? Yes.
01:15:00 That would be Abraham. Yeah. Now, notice
01:15:03 how it didn’t say children,
01:15:07 right? Um, yeah. So, for all those who
01:15:11 uh So, that that’s something that’s
01:15:14 important to realize is that um
01:15:19 we’re not going to the
01:15:22 children does not mean just those which
01:15:24 are created through sex through sexual
01:15:27 uh intercourse. Correct. Children does
01:15:30 mean followers.
01:15:33 Yeah. Especially and we were all
01:15:36 followers of Elohim.
01:15:39 We were intelligent. We were co-eternal
01:15:42 intelligences who sought his
01:15:44 instruction.
01:15:52 And he organized this
01:15:56 for us to receive it. Yes.
01:16:00 Yes.
01:16:02 Uh now I as Ben was talking I found one
01:16:05 that says Holy Spirit. It’s Moroni 8:23.
01:16:08 I’ll I’ll give it Oh, Zach, are you
01:16:10 there? You want to read it?
01:16:22 But it but it is mockery before Elohim
01:16:26 denying the mercies of of Messiah and
01:16:29 the power of his holy spirit and putting
01:16:32 trust in that works.
01:16:35 So um here in this uh in the Book of
01:16:40 Mormon, it talks about how the the power
01:16:42 of the word, power of the Holy Ghost or
01:16:45 the power of the Holy Spirit.
01:16:48 Are those different things? Is Yahweh
01:16:50 relying upon three different powers
01:16:54 or are they all the same? They’re all
01:16:58 Yes. I put it to you that it is all the
01:17:00 same. It’s just using different words to
01:17:03 describe the same thing. Many names.
01:17:09 Okay.
01:17:10 Um and so this is the power
01:17:15 that is talking about it’s the power of
01:17:17 the holy word, the holy spirit or the
01:17:21 holy ghost which is always of saying
01:17:25 Torah.
01:17:28 Now, let’s go back. Uh oh, no, no, I got
01:17:32 where I was. Yeah.
01:17:37 Okay. Uh so, having
01:17:41 I think it was Oh, no. It was right
01:17:43 here. I already read that. Uh we’re past
01:17:45 by the power of the Holy Spirit. So, it
01:17:48 says the power of Elohim. Okay. But as
01:17:51 we just saw a whole bunch of verses,
01:17:54 which we didn’t read them all because
01:17:56 there’s too many. The power of Elohim is
01:17:59 his holy spirit, holy ghost, holy word,
01:18:04 aka Torah,
01:18:07 right?
01:18:10 So because
01:18:13 uh the soul
01:18:15 conceived or figured out Torah, the
01:18:19 father was conceived
01:18:21 because he became the leader.
01:18:25 Yes.
01:18:28 And then
01:18:30 he became the son. and the son because
01:18:34 of the flesh as in because he came down
01:18:37 and did it. He was the perfect follower
01:18:41 of his perfect words
01:18:45 and thus becoming the father and son.
01:18:51 He’s both two different roles, two
01:18:54 different modes as in modalism.
01:18:58 Yep.
01:18:59 Now, if you look here, it’s got father
01:19:03 Son and Holy Spirit twice, right?
01:19:07 Conceived. That’s the idea. Power of
01:19:10 Elohim, which is also the will or mind,
01:19:15 Torah, words, right? Right there.
01:19:18 There’s your Godhead right there.
01:19:22 And it’s called modalism.
01:19:26 Yeah. Uh
01:19:28 now the holy spirit is not a mode. It is
01:19:32 the mind that they both share or in the
01:19:36 plan that they both share. Right. It’s
01:19:40 what it’s what unifies the modes.
01:19:44 Correct.
01:19:47 Uh
01:19:49 so did you want to read four too John? I
01:19:53 actually
01:19:55 well there was an idea that popped into
01:19:57 my head. Uh we’ll talk about it later.
01:20:00 Okay. Well actually well that reminds me
01:20:02 though this
01:20:05 starting to be the father and conceiving
01:20:07 you this
01:20:09 uh
01:20:11 there is another witness for this. Okay.
01:20:14 Uh and there’s actually multiples of
01:20:16 them but we’ll just do one. A new
01:20:18 translation also known as Jose Smith
01:20:21 translation or inspired version
01:20:22 revelations 3:14.
01:20:25 And unto the servant of the church of
01:20:30 Lian, write these things saith thee,
01:20:35 Amen. That’s Yeshua, the faithful and
01:20:39 true witness. Because he never sinned,
01:20:42 right?
01:20:43 Because faith means trust and diligence.
01:20:47 He trusted the word and never broke it.
01:20:51 The beginning of the creation of Elohim.
01:20:57 He
01:20:59 he this is talking about how there was a
01:21:02 beginning. Yeah. Yep. Yep. Yep.
01:21:08 Okay. I I
01:21:14 It’s there. Yeah.
01:21:20 So, this also says from the foundation
01:21:22 of the world,
01:21:24 not from eternity. I I know I’m I may be
01:21:27 nitpicking.
01:21:29 Foundation of the world, not eternity.
01:21:33 Yeah.
01:21:36 Now, I know people say I’m reading into
01:21:39 it. I completely agree. I am. But
01:21:43 we just went over it here in Mosiah 15.
01:21:47 Yeah. Because the prophets are very
01:21:50 careful with their words and they’re
01:21:51 very careful for a reason. Okay.
01:21:56 Now, it I just want to bring up again is
01:21:59 uh I forget I think it was Pin that said
01:22:01 it. There’s not celestial baby making.
01:22:05 Okay. You’re right.
01:22:08 Yeah. There’s no holy lust
01:22:12 there. There.
01:22:14 Um I don’t think that’s holy lust, but
01:22:16 anyways. Um
01:22:19 our souls are eternal just as his or
01:22:23 Yahweh’s. Okay.
01:22:25 They they weren’t
01:22:28 created by
01:22:30 uh going inside of a womb in a mother.
01:22:33 Okay. Um anyways,
01:22:39 So I I think that’s probably enough on
01:22:41 that part, right? Okay. So
01:22:46 he became and he figured Yeshua. Oops.
01:22:50 It’s these ones. Yeshua figured it out.
01:22:54 So he be because he figured it out. He
01:22:56 became the father and the son. Yes.
01:23:00 Because he figured it out. Okay. So
01:23:02 verse four. Okay. And they are one
01:23:06 Elohim. So the the father and the son
01:23:10 are one judge. Yes.
01:23:15 Now how it says judge I mean um it says
01:23:20 God that is because that’s it’s using
01:23:24 King James English here. And behind God
01:23:29 is Elohim which means judge. They are
01:23:34 one judge.
01:23:36 The Father and the Son are one judge
01:23:38 because they’re one soul.
01:23:44 Yeah. Yay. The very eternal father. Oh,
01:23:48 wait. It doesn’t say the very eternal
01:23:50 fathers.
01:23:52 It says the very eternal father.
01:23:54 Singular.
01:23:57 Correct. Uh because it’s one soul,
01:24:00 different modes
01:24:02 pointing to
01:24:05 modalism.
01:24:06 [Laughter]
01:24:10 And he is the very eternal father of
01:24:13 heaven and of earth.
01:24:17 So he’s the leader of heaven and earth.
01:24:20 Yes. it it’s through him and the fact
01:24:23 that he became
01:24:28 and which means
01:24:31 he kept Torah
01:24:33 that he had the power because it is the
01:24:36 word
01:24:38 which is Torah
01:24:40 that gives the power and the reason it
01:24:43 gives the power is because that’s
01:24:48 Why
01:24:50 we
01:24:52 and the elements respect him?
01:24:56 Because he will keep his word. And his
01:24:59 word is fair.
01:25:02 Yes. And reasonable
01:25:05 despite what we might think when we’re
01:25:08 in a bad mood or angry and are just
01:25:11 prideful or just jealous.
01:25:16 But for example, to go with this,
01:25:20 at judgment day,
01:25:22 judgment will be public just as it is in
01:25:25 the old days at the gates where
01:25:27 everybody will know it
01:25:30 and no one will argue with it because
01:25:32 it’s just and true.
01:25:35 You may not like it because you’re
01:25:38 receiving a curse because you didn’t
01:25:40 repent,
01:25:42 but you can’t argue against it because
01:25:44 you know it is right. There will be no
01:25:47 question. Yeah.
01:25:51 I implore you
01:25:54 to come under his covering before it’s
01:25:56 too late, before judgment day. And it is
01:26:00 coming sooner than we know than we
01:26:02 really understand.
01:26:05 Um
01:26:07 but
01:26:08 the reason it will it has power is
01:26:11 because ultimately inside of us we all
01:26:15 respect it. We just don’t want to have
01:26:17 to do it ourselves while we want
01:26:19 everybody else to do it. We think we are
01:26:22 the exception because of our pride.
01:26:26 But just just look at your own
01:26:27 interactions and thoughts about how
01:26:30 people interact with you and then what
01:26:32 you do to others.
01:26:34 Yeah, you know Torah is true. You just
01:26:39 don’t want it to be true because you
01:26:41 want what you want.
01:26:45 Um and and you’re the exception. But
01:26:48 with everybody else’s interactions with
01:26:51 you, you want them to keep it. Yeah.
01:26:56 You know it’s true. You just don’t want
01:26:58 it to be true. Yeah. Anyways.
01:27:02 All right, pick up in verse five.
01:27:08 Yes. Yeah, verse five. Very good. And
01:27:11 thus the flesh becoming subject to the
01:27:14 spirit self father Torah.
01:27:18 Okay. So the flesh, the son or mortality
01:27:23 becoming subject to his own spirit which
01:27:27 is following Torah. Okay. Yep.
01:27:32 Um or the son unto the father. Father.
01:27:38 So the flesh. Oh, wait. Flesh, son,
01:27:43 spirit, father.
01:27:46 Hey, that couldn’t be a micro kayazm
01:27:50 within the big kayazm, could it? Uh,
01:27:53 yeah, it is.
01:27:57 Wait, and then he reiterates what he
01:27:59 said before. being one Elohim,
01:28:04 which is judge. I need to fill this out
01:28:07 a little more. But anyways, yeah, Elohim
01:28:10 means judge.
01:28:12 They’re one judge. Yeah, because it’s
01:28:14 one soul.
01:28:17 He suffereth temptation and yieldeth not
01:28:20 to the temptation, but suffereth himself
01:28:23 to be mocked and scourged and cast out
01:28:26 and disowned by his people.
01:28:30 That’s uh a perfect description of his
01:28:34 mortal life. Oh yeah.
01:28:39 And Isaiah 53
01:28:41 brings out the last little bit of his
01:28:43 life and the purpose of his mortal life.
01:28:47 You can also check Psalm 22.
01:28:51 Yes. Which is a prophecy from David. Um
01:28:54 Exactly.
01:28:55 Um,
01:28:57 but
01:29:00 one reason he’s bringing out how he
01:29:01 didn’t yield into temptation because it
01:29:04 means he did not sin and thus could work
01:29:06 out the atonement.
01:29:09 Uh, for and part of the reason is that
01:29:13 if he had sinned, he would have had to
01:29:16 stay dead.
01:29:22 The reason he could break the bands of
01:29:24 death is because he didn’t deserve it.
01:29:29 Yeah. But the reason he
01:29:33 died was to take our punishment upon him
01:29:40 because the wages of sin is death. And
01:29:43 as Paul put it in Hebrews,
01:29:46 he became sin. I I don’t particularly
01:29:49 like that translation. I I think a
01:29:52 better translation would be something
01:29:54 more along lines. He took our sins upon
01:29:57 him just as Adam parttook of the fruit
01:30:02 or took upon him the sin of Eve to keep
01:30:05 them together. Which is why Yeshua took
01:30:09 our sins upon him as the father, the
01:30:12 leader
01:30:15 to keep his church with him
01:30:20 because otherwise we would had been
01:30:22 separated. Yeah.
01:30:25 You know
01:30:27 that also kind of reminds me, you know,
01:30:30 actually, you know, I think I might
01:30:31 bring this idea out.
01:30:33 It kind of reminds me of
01:30:42 Nh. We’ll talk about it later. Never
01:30:44 mind. Never mind. Pause for a minute.
01:30:47 No, we’ll talk about it later. Oh, let’s
01:30:50 just keep going. Let’s just keep going.
01:30:52 I don’t have a fully formed idea yet.
01:30:54 So, okay. So, I’m gonna stop. I think uh
01:30:57 John’s gonna take over. Yes, I’m gonna
01:30:59 take over on the sh.
01:31:02 Okay.
01:31:04 Let me pause. There it is.
01:31:07 So, brothers and sisters,
01:31:10 this lesson has brings it. We’ve spent a
01:31:14 long time discussing modalism because it
01:31:17 is such a heat hotly debated topic
01:31:23 in the religious real within religious
01:31:25 circles within understanding who Yahwa
01:31:29 is. People want to create their own
01:31:34 image of who he is where if we just let
01:31:38 him tell us who he is within his word
01:31:43 and yes the Book of Mosiah is also
01:31:45 Torah. I too
01:31:49 bear testimony that the Book of Mormon
01:31:52 is also Torah.
01:31:56 It is a part of the instruction. It
01:32:02 gives a clearer understanding of things
01:32:07 that sometimes we miss in the K King
01:32:10 James version of the Bible
01:32:13 because well Hebrew idiom some Hebrew
01:32:16 idioms just do not translate over well
01:32:18 to the English and you also have this
01:32:20 thing called translator bias.
01:32:23 And sometimes the translators didn’t
01:32:24 know the idioms too. So, and that’s Yes.
01:32:27 And that’s true. Um, so
01:32:31 my point is is that modalism is so
01:32:35 crucial to understanding
01:32:38 who he is. And just as we stated during
01:32:42 this video, during this recording,
01:32:46 modalism
01:32:48 shows us that we have a true a truly
01:32:54 just and a truly merciful
01:32:59 Elohim because he came down and he did
01:33:03 it himself. He offered himself. Well,
01:33:07 the thing is
01:33:10 he knew
01:33:12 he knew we couldn’t pay the price of our
01:33:14 rebellion,
01:33:16 right?
01:33:19 And so he paid it for us.
01:33:22 Yeah. He that’s pointing to the mercy.
01:33:25 He took mercy upon us or uh which goes
01:33:29 along with the bowels, right? And he
01:33:32 took and he had and and in a great
01:33:36 display of unmmerited favor, he gave us
01:33:38 instruction
01:33:40 as to how to be like him.
01:33:47 Yeah. Which is his will or holy or holy
01:33:51 behavior. And this to me, this to me is
01:33:55 why it’s so important that we spent so
01:33:57 much time tonight on modalism because
01:34:02 unlike what my brother said, modalism is
01:34:05 not hotly debated,
01:34:08 modalism
01:34:09 is viewed by practically the entire
01:34:13 Christian world as a heresy. And yet it
01:34:18 is the truth. which is ironic because
01:34:22 the earliest uh Catholic church fathers
01:34:25 taught it actually. But it got
01:34:28 the more that they put paganism into
01:34:31 Christianity,
01:34:33 it got changed to uh trinitarianism,
01:34:37 which has its roots in merging Hebrew
01:34:41 modalism with pagan triune God. Yes,
01:34:47 triune. You You got it. Nailed it.
01:34:50 No,
01:34:53 but that’s why it’s so important that we
01:34:54 go over modalism
01:34:58 because modalism is the only way that
01:35:00 everything that God says about himself
01:35:03 is true.
01:35:06 Yeah. And and the fact that the Holy
01:35:09 Spirit is Torah testifies of the Father
01:35:12 and Son. And when you know Torah well
01:35:15 enough, you can see how it does testify
01:35:17 the different modes that are needed
01:35:21 inside of it within its laws and
01:35:24 commandments.
01:35:26 Um, but you wouldn’t know that because
01:35:28 most people don’t study it, right? Um,
01:35:34 and most people w most people will not
01:35:38 know their God when the time comes
01:35:42 because he will he will stand before he
01:35:44 will stand before them and they’ll think
01:35:46 they’re just looking on his son.
01:35:49 The express image is the same.
01:35:54 It’s the same soul. And not only that,
01:35:58 but they will have lived their lives in
01:36:00 such a way
01:36:02 so as to be
01:36:05 devoid of the spirit,
01:36:08 which is Torah.
01:36:10 If you don’t want to be devoid of the
01:36:12 spirit, if you want to have that
01:36:13 connection to the spirit, live Torah. I
01:36:15 promise you, it’ll fill the spirit will
01:36:18 fill your life and you’ll find yourself
01:36:21 being directed
01:36:22 in your paths. um what to study, what to
01:36:27 do.
01:36:29 Uh
01:36:32 you know, maybe not probably not in
01:36:35 every particular
01:36:37 uh I think it’s uh I think it’s uh fool
01:36:39 hearty to expect to get commandments
01:36:41 daily
01:36:44 because we because we do have
01:36:46 commandments daily and they’re written
01:36:48 down. Yeah. It’s Torah. We’re supposed
01:36:50 to live Torah every day, right? You’re
01:36:53 supposed to live Torah every day. That’s
01:36:56 a daily commandment.
01:36:59 So, you know, those who are looking for
01:37:02 daily commandments while nailing Torah
01:37:03 to a tree are kind of at cross purposes
01:37:07 with themselves. Oh, so that gets in I
01:37:09 just will say something real quick that
01:37:10 gets into another big can of worms. Law
01:37:14 of Moses. It was the law of Moses that
01:37:16 was nailed to the tree or cross
01:37:21 the daily two lambs which was a
01:37:24 punishment and I’ll I’ll link a page for
01:37:26 that. So, and not just the law of Moses
01:37:28 but the law of Abraham as well. Yeah.
01:37:30 Which that one is circumcision. Um so
01:37:33 yes, that one also was a punishment as
01:37:36 you’ll find out in new translation
01:37:38 Genesis 17.
01:37:40 Now the reason I said that uh modalism
01:37:44 was a heely debated topic is whenever
01:37:47 you bring up the idea of modalism
01:37:52 it becomes very heated very quickly but
01:37:56 actually a lot of my friends who I’ve
01:37:58 spoken to about modalism are like oh
01:38:00 well what is that then when you describe
01:38:03 it then it becomes heated after that
01:38:07 because it goes against the idea idea of
01:38:10 the trinitarian triune God that is
01:38:13 pushed in Christianity today when you or
01:38:16 it also goes against the brigamite
01:38:18 godhead which most of the restoration
01:38:21 except and Christian apologists get very
01:38:25 offended by modalism because it’s
01:38:29 something that their uh that their
01:38:33 ecumenical councils determined was
01:38:36 heresy and they find and therefore they
01:38:38 are very afraid
01:38:39 of the concept of because it would show
01:38:43 that a lot of their where the people
01:38:46 that they get a lot of their ideas from
01:38:48 were wrong.
01:38:50 They wouldn’t have a job anymore.
01:38:55 Yeah. Well, and on top of that, you
01:38:57 shouldn’t be paid for preaching. I
01:38:59 agree. This is why I don’t sell books. I
01:39:03 put all my research out there for free.
01:39:06 Even my one note is out there for free.
01:39:08 It’s not as easy, convenient as stuff on
01:39:10 my blog, but it takes more time to make
01:39:13 it look nice on the blog, but I even
01:39:14 have more out there for free than my
01:39:16 blog. It’s just people don’t go to it.
01:39:19 You link to it, don’t I? Y
01:39:23 um but but to all this to say though
01:39:26 that I will reiterate modalism is
01:39:31 important to understanding who Yahwa is.
01:39:37 Yes. And how it’s the different roles or
01:39:40 modes um of him now and modalism is the
01:39:45 only means whereby he can remain
01:39:48 unchanging.
01:39:50 Yes. Um
01:39:53 because he he had the will before the
01:39:58 foundation of the world. Mhm. Yep. He
01:40:00 had already became he was already
01:40:02 prepared which means he already had
01:40:05 everything he needed. Yeah. When sat
01:40:07 when Satan got Adam and Eve to partake
01:40:09 of the fruit, it really didn’t throw God
01:40:11 opposer. Uh no, he So if you believe
01:40:15 Yahw knew everything from the beginning
01:40:16 to the end,
01:40:18 uh it wasn’t really a kink.
01:40:21 He knew it was going to happen. He
01:40:23 already had a plan to take care of it.
01:40:25 The atonement.
01:40:27 Yeah. Oh yeah. a but uh he could not
01:40:33 force men to sin.
01:40:36 Yeah, he allowed men to sin, but he knew
01:40:38 they would. So, anyways, um so one
01:40:44 thing, if you two are done, I’ll add a
01:40:46 little bit more. Yeah, go ahead. So,
01:40:49 there is a new translation of of Luke
01:40:51 10:22.
01:40:53 Um,
01:40:55 all things which is actually a phrase of
01:40:58 Torah were delivered to Yeshua
01:41:02 from
01:41:04 his father himself. Okay, as we went
01:41:06 over Messiah 15. Um, so this is just
01:41:11 using the imagery. And no man knoweth
01:41:14 that the son is
01:41:18 the father. This is according Joseph
01:41:20 Smith translation here.
01:41:23 And the father is the son, but him who
01:41:27 the son will reveal it.
01:41:31 I do hope the son will reveal it to
01:41:35 everyone as he did me. Okay. Now, um I I
01:41:40 do want to share something from the Book
01:41:41 of Mormon real quick.
01:41:44 Uh and then maybe we can end with that.
01:41:46 Uh because I there there’s a lot
01:41:50 throughout the scriptures that shows
01:41:52 this. Uh this is just
01:41:55 one of many. But I think part of the
01:41:58 reason I’m going to bring this one out
01:41:59 is because these verses that I’m going
01:42:02 to bring out are just like six verses
01:42:05 from each other. Okay.
01:42:08 Um
01:42:10 so this is 3 Nephi 111.
01:42:17 35. Ben, will you read that one?
01:42:22 Verily, verily, I say unto you,
01:42:25 that this is my doctrine, and I bear
01:42:28 record that and I bear record of it from
01:42:31 the Father,
01:42:33 and who so believeth in me believeth in
01:42:36 the Father also because it’s
01:42:41 one soul.
01:42:43 And unto him
01:42:45 will the father bear record of me. For
01:42:49 he will visit him. Well, I I want to say
01:42:51 he is the father. Correct. For the
01:42:53 father will visit him with fire and with
01:42:57 the holy ghost. Okay. So this is
01:43:00 referring to the two baptisms. It’s not
01:43:02 one single event. Right. It’s you first
01:43:07 you are bapt first you receive the
01:43:09 baptism of fire when Yahwa
01:43:13 um
01:43:14 when Ya determines that you truly are
01:43:18 willing to keep his commandments.
01:43:22 Then you will receive the baptism of the
01:43:23 Holy Spirit when looking at your life
01:43:29 sees that you will
01:43:33 correct. Now this is saying the father
01:43:36 will give him the fire, the baptism of
01:43:38 fire and the baptism of the holy spirit.
01:43:40 Correct? Mhm. All right. So let’s go six
01:43:44 verses later. Uh we don’t have to read
01:43:46 the whole thing. In fact just time wise
01:43:49 it’s better not. I will baptize you with
01:43:51 fire and the Holy Ghost. Okay. Who’s
01:43:53 speaking here? Yes. The son. The son.
01:43:56 Oh, wait a minute. Is it the father or
01:43:59 the son that gives the baptism the fire
01:44:00 in the holy? Yes. Yes. The answer is
01:44:03 yes. Oh, yeah. It’s because it’s
01:44:05 modalism. It’s just a different name.
01:44:10 Yes. Things like this are all over the
01:44:14 scriptures that teach modalism. if
01:44:18 you’re willing to accept it. But but the
01:44:21 and the but you don’t see these things
01:44:24 necessarily from a cursory reading.
01:44:27 That’s why you have to search. You have
01:44:29 to remember what you read six verses
01:44:32 later
01:44:34 and you have to put the pieces together.
01:44:36 Mhm.
01:44:38 Now I I’ll I’m just going to tell you
01:44:40 again.
01:44:42 It was the son that gave this to me.
01:44:47 He then taught it to me through the
01:44:49 scriptures, primarily the Book of Mormon
01:44:51 and then others later. Okay. Book of
01:44:54 Mormon is my favorite book. I’ll just
01:44:56 say that. Yeah, it is an incredible
01:45:00 book. Well, I will say I will say that
01:45:03 of all the principles that uh Stephen
01:45:06 taught me, this is the one I gravitated
01:45:09 outside of the Sabbath, this was the one
01:45:12 that I gravitated to the easiest,
01:45:13 actually.
01:45:16 So, um I I do hope that as you study
01:45:21 this out,
01:45:24 the sun will give it to you, too. Mhm. U
01:45:28 this is one of many things
01:45:31 that will help you let go of false
01:45:33 traditions and to better understand who
01:45:35 Yahweh Yeshua is. And and the well the
01:45:40 reason that I said that I gravitated to
01:45:42 this easily is because it was given to
01:45:44 me as he was teaching as Steven was
01:45:46 teaching me about modalism. It was given
01:45:48 to me to believe
01:45:52 and to understand what he was saying.
01:45:57 I hope everybody will come to understand
01:45:59 it um before it’s too late because
01:46:02 everybody
01:46:04 at I mean eventually you’ll know that
01:46:06 it’s true.
01:46:09 But
01:46:12 you don’t you don’t you don’t want to
01:46:14 wait for the eventually.
01:46:16 Now I I I’m not going to get into
01:46:19 details but I know it’s hard to go
01:46:20 against false traditions. Okay. Yeah, it
01:46:23 is. I will say this. It is worth it.
01:46:28 Amen.
01:46:31 It is worth it. Amen.
01:46:34 The truth will set you free.
01:46:40 Even if it will give Sorry, go ahead.
01:46:44 Even if the free existence is a little
01:46:45 lonely for a little while. Yes. But it
01:46:49 will free you from your guilt. Uhhuh.
01:46:52 It’ll free you from the chains of hell.
01:46:56 Yes. Yes.
01:46:59 And that’s what ultimately matters.
01:47:03 Hunger and thirst after righteousness.
01:47:07 It’s not just some cliche.
01:47:14 Even if your spouse or your children or
01:47:17 your best friend or your church tells
01:47:20 you
01:47:22 the scriptures are wrong, they’re not.
01:47:25 Yahw never lies
01:47:30 for he is not like a son of humans. I
01:47:35 said it a little different on purpose
01:47:37 just not to to get rid of some of the
01:47:39 confusion but anyways um
01:47:44 he’s a follower of the way. Yes. Yes.
01:47:48 Not a follower of fall fallen men.
01:47:52 Mhm. Amen. He does not lie.
01:47:55 No, let’s not say that he does.
01:47:58 And I do hope
01:48:00 this and many other things in scriptures
01:48:02 will help you get closer to Yahw.
01:48:06 So just for some housekeeping, we will
01:48:09 be revisiting this chapter uh next
01:48:12 Sabbath unless something comes up,
01:48:15 right? Unless something comes up with
01:48:16 like a like somebody has a question or
01:48:19 something um that needs to be addressed.
01:48:22 Sure. Sure. Um, but we can do this next.
01:48:25 Uh, the rest of Mosiah 15, which
01:48:28 there’s some other interesting nuggets
01:48:30 there.
01:48:32 Um, yes. But we we do hope this will uh
01:48:37 help you out in your
01:48:40 finding out who Yahw is. Actually,
01:48:45 there there’s one Yahweh Elohim. He was
01:48:48 Yoshua. There’s a lot of
01:48:50 misunderstandings of who he is. Let’s
01:48:56 overcome those misunderstandings
01:48:59 which will happen as we seek to keep his
01:49:02 ways as Elma
01:49:05 12 9 through11 brings out. Okay. But
01:49:09 anyways, we’ve gone over that before and
01:49:11 it’s probably late enough we should
01:49:13 close out. Yeah. All righty. All right.
01:49:16 Thank you so much, brothers and sisters,
01:49:18 for coming tonight or for watching this
01:49:20 video. Please
01:49:24 take the counsel you’ve received to
01:49:25 heart. These things we say in the name
01:49:28 of Yeshua Hamashiach. Amen. Amen. Amen.
