Summary:
Josh gives some history about himself. Steven is different. Book of Mormon clarifies the Bible, it does contradict bad interpretations. Brigham Young helped plan Joseph Smith’s murder. Holy men of YHWH have been given His power to act in His name. The bad translation of Elohim to God puts the Greek ideas of god upon YHWH which causes a lot of confusion. Saul was able to do sacrifices while he was of the tribe of Benjamin not of Levi because he had the Melchizedek Priesthood. YHWH gives understanding of the mysteries to those who keep His Torah. Mysteries teach us about the character of YHWH. Keys are information that takes what is difficult and now makes easy. The commandments teach us how to be like Yeshua. Faith is trust and diligence. Without the atonement, it is pointless to keep Torah. Kosher law keeps us from eating poison to slowly kill yourself. Ordinances can mean law. It is YHWH’s laws that teach us about the power of godliness. Real friends will turn you to Yeshua and His ways. Paul loves the word law. Knowing about Torah, Law of Moses, and the Oral Law helps greatly in understanding Paul. Manifesting is making something plain and obvious. Just because someone claims to have YHWH’s authority does not mean they actually do. We are only to defend our own land. Israel was always supposed to share the gospel with others. Peter enacted the punishment that was determined in heaven with his words. Moses and others did see YHWH face to face in the Bible. You can’t see YHWH’s face in your sins. Moses took responsibility for the Israelites. Plain is a Hebrew idiom for Torah because it is plainly made clear. Explaining justification then sanctification. Moses wanted everyone to prophesy and be prophets. Firstborns of Israel had the lesser priesthood before the carnal sin at mount Sinai. Isaiah 66 and 1 Peter 2 brings out how the curse of not all having the lesser priesthood is taken away. Ministering of angels is YHWH’s messengers calling repentance. Fullness of the Gospel is sanctification, preparatory gospel is justification. You receive remission of your sins when you are justified. When a punishment is pronounced it becomes law to the people it is applied to. Law of Moses in the Carnal Commandments because they received this punishment after their sexual sins at Mount Sinai. Lesser priesthood gets their authority from the higher priesthood. The sons of Levi are those who did the two daily lambs of the carnal commandments. Hebrews count time differently. We are told in D&C (LDS 27)(RLDS 26) that was the Mighty and Strong One who went to John’s dad. John overthrew the kingdom of wicked men. John’s calling is one way we can know that Yeshua / Jesus is YHWH in the flesh which is modalism. Office of elder, not priesthood of elder. Generation in D&C (LDS 84)(RLDS 83) is talking about a generation of messenger, prepare, and redeemer prophets. Torah is plain, prophesy can be a mystery. Sons of Moses are those who have the high priesthood, and the sons of Aaron is those who have the lower priesthood. There are believers who are listening to the wrong preachers. You can’t tell by what building someone goes to if they are Yeshua’s / Jesus or Satan because Satan sowed tares among the wheat. We become like Yeshua / Jesus because of the choices we make to act like Him. Women can be deacons in the Aaronic priesthood. The statement of receiving the high priesthood is receiving Yeshua / Jesus is stating they will receive Terrestrial Glory. High Priesthood is given by YHWH’s own voice not the laying on of hands of man as the lower priesthood is. The High priesthood is done by voice because it is to be YHWH’s voice, the lower priesthood is done by hands because it is to be His hands. Joseph Smith restored much, not all, and then there was a modern day apostasy. Animal Sacrifices are coming back. The church of the Firstborn being associated with the Father teaches Modalism. Those who receive the high priesthood and harden their hearts against YHWH and His Torah is committing the unforgivable sin. 666 is the 6 = natural man in his 60 = pride 600 = fighting against YHWH and His Torah. Those who receive the Telestial glory will learn about the Holy Spirit from those who received a higher glory as stated in D&C (LDS 76)(RLDS 76). The coming two witnesses will have this priesthood and be able to pronounce punishments as Peter did. YHWH in D&C (LDS 84)(RLDS 83) states we are to live by every word of Yah which is how we define Torah. The Spirit is light, and light is Torah. We should repent and learn from our sins not wallow in them.

00:00:02 Good evening everyone. Um, and welcome
00:00:05 to this evening’s teaching. Uh, my name
00:00:07 is Josh Sickls and I’ll be going over uh
00:00:11 a section in u the Church of Jesus
00:00:14 Christ of Latter-day Saints doctrine and
00:00:16 covenants that I know is it there’s no
00:00:20 way it can’t be from from Yoka from God.
00:00:24 um
00:00:26 uh the way everything is tied together.
00:00:27 But I do want to give a little
00:00:29 background on myself uh first.
00:00:32 >> See what section LDS edition.
00:00:35 >> Mhm.
00:00:36 >> It was uh 84 LDS and it’s 83 RLDS. Just
00:00:41 so people are
00:00:43 >> Yep. Uh so uh a little bit about me um
00:00:48 so that you can get a little idea of of
00:00:51 why I chose to focus on what I choose uh
00:00:53 what I chose to focus on. Um I was born
00:00:57 into a very
00:00:59 orthodox and very active um Church of
00:01:03 Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
00:01:05 family. So Mormon as a lot of people
00:01:07 like to call them. Um and I spent about
00:01:12 the first 40 years of my life uh in that
00:01:14 organization. About half of that 20
00:01:16 years not so happily so uh because there
00:01:20 were a lot of questions that um just did
00:01:24 not reconcile themselves between action
00:01:26 and what was actually written in
00:01:27 scripture. Um, and then I retired from
00:01:31 the Navy back in 2022.
00:01:34 And uh, at that time my entire life fell
00:01:37 apart because I went through a divorce
00:01:39 as well. And I’m I’m sad I went through
00:01:42 the divorce, but at the same time it it
00:01:46 helped
00:01:48 me get on the right path. Um,
00:01:52 because there’s nothing like your whole
00:01:54 life falling apart to really humble you.
00:01:57 Uh, and this did. This rocked my world.
00:02:01 Everything I thought I knew turned
00:02:02 upside down. I didn’t know what was
00:02:06 what. I had questions that had no
00:02:08 answers. Or so I thought. And I was very
00:02:12 frustrated and upset and angry. And I
00:02:15 went through a very dark uh period of
00:02:18 time.
00:02:19 And during and as things were getting
00:02:22 progressively worse
00:02:24 um I had for a time not been in close
00:02:27 contact with any of my family really um
00:02:32 for a couple of years and then uh out of
00:02:35 the blue my uh you know my brother Ben
00:02:39 called me one day and just said, “Hey,
00:02:42 guess what I found? This is pretty cool.
00:02:44 You should come check it out.” And I was
00:02:46 like, “Oh, okay. um sure and uh went and
00:02:51 checked it out and I I didn’t agree with
00:02:53 him. I didn’t think it was particularly
00:02:54 cool, especially the way the leader of
00:02:56 the group was making fun of people
00:02:58 during during the meeting. Um
00:03:00 >> this was a different group than this
00:03:02 one, just so people
00:03:04 >> a different group. But um so I I went to
00:03:07 one meeting I was like, “No, I I I I
00:03:10 don’t think I’ll I’ll do this anymore.”
00:03:12 um because I just didn’t like the way it
00:03:15 was going and it didn’t follow a
00:03:17 scriptural pattern and to my way of
00:03:21 thinking it anyway at any rate. And so
00:03:24 uh but after a while um we did keep
00:03:27 talking
00:03:28 uh my brother Ben and I and my brother
00:03:31 John who was on the call earlier kept
00:03:33 talking and we kept uh you know running
00:03:36 ideas and stuff like that. And then um I
00:03:39 remember one conversation that we had at
00:03:41 one point where
00:03:44 um John and Ben were saying, “Well, the
00:03:47 book of Deuteronomy is is so badly
00:03:49 damaged. We just got to throw it out.”
00:03:51 And I remember saying, “Whoa,
00:03:53 you got to be careful there. This is
00:03:55 this is scripture we’re talking about.
00:03:57 We’re talking about throwing out.” I I
00:03:59 uh who said did God say to throw it out?
00:04:04 And uh
00:04:08 the the conversation got a little
00:04:10 heated, but not really. And I was just
00:04:12 trying to I was thinking and I was
00:04:14 trying to help Ben and John think as
00:04:16 well. And and then the very next time we
00:04:19 talked, Ben told me, “Well, uh I got to
00:04:23 figure this this law thing out. I got to
00:04:25 I’ve been told by God to to study his
00:04:28 law.
00:04:29 Study his law. Learn his law.” And I was
00:04:32 like, “Okay.” And so that intrigued me
00:04:36 and I said, “Okay, well, let me let me
00:04:39 start doing some study on my own.” And I
00:04:42 started doing study on my own. And I
00:04:43 found that the church that I was a part
00:04:45 of did not live
00:04:49 their own scriptures, let alone
00:04:53 the scriptures, the Old Testament or the
00:04:55 New Testament. They didn’t live any
00:04:57 really by much that was written in
00:05:00 either one. basic broadstrokes, but not
00:05:03 really.
00:05:05 And so, as we continued to study, um,
00:05:08 you know, then one day they invited me
00:05:10 to to one of these meetings and I I came
00:05:13 in and, um, thought Steven was pretty
00:05:15 weird. Um, the first time I I came, I
00:05:21 >> I am not normal. I will admit to that.
00:05:24 >> I thought he was I thought he was quite
00:05:26 strange, but not necessarily in a bad
00:05:29 way. seem to uh rub off on him though.
00:05:33 >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. His name is Abby.
00:05:37 >> Abby. Normal. Yes. Um so but uh
00:05:41 >> yes, that is my character.
00:05:44 All all this to say that um I ended up
00:05:52 severing ties with with the church that
00:05:55 I’d been a member of because they
00:05:58 weren’t doing things the right way. And
00:06:00 I started on my journey of searching the
00:06:02 scriptures
00:06:03 and trying to get rid of the biased
00:06:06 blinders that had been instilled to me
00:06:09 through years and years of rigorous
00:06:11 programming.
00:06:13 um and and just reading the scriptures
00:06:17 for what is actually in them.
00:06:20 Um that being said, I do believe um that
00:06:24 a restoration did occur, that there has
00:06:28 been a modern that there has been a
00:06:30 modern-day prophet. His name was Joseph
00:06:31 Smith. And he was called to restore or
00:06:34 to bring on a restoration.
00:06:37 And that he was commanded to translate
00:06:39 scripture.
00:06:41 One of those scriptures that we have
00:06:42 today that has been translated by him uh
00:06:46 is the Book of Mormon. I will say it is
00:06:49 a beautiful book of scripture. It
00:06:53 it does not contradict the Bible in any
00:06:56 way, shape or form as a lot of Bible
00:06:59 scholars like to say it does.
00:07:02 As a matter of fact, it supports and
00:07:07 makes clear things that may be confusing
00:07:09 because of um translator error and
00:07:12 things of that nature that have occurred
00:07:14 in the multiple translations of uh the
00:07:17 Bible.
00:07:19 >> It does go against false um
00:07:22 interpretations.
00:07:24 So
00:07:24 >> yes,
00:07:25 >> it will do that. But if you go check the
00:07:28 word specifically
00:07:32 >> and not trying to force your way of
00:07:34 thinking into it, it actually does not
00:07:36 contradict.
00:07:38 >> Yes.
00:07:39 >> Um and another and he received um many
00:07:42 revelations himself before his violent
00:07:46 murder. Um
00:07:49 and uh they were put together in a book
00:07:52 called The Doctrine and Covenants. And
00:07:54 what we’re going to be studying tonight
00:07:56 is going to be from a section in that
00:07:58 book of revelations that he received. It
00:08:01 is doctrine and covenant section 84. So
00:08:05 Stephen, you could go ahead and pull up.
00:08:08 >> I’m actually kind of looking forward to
00:08:10 this because this is stuff that uh
00:08:14 that Josh and John and I discovered
00:08:17 while we were um while we were going
00:08:20 through this section. Uh yeah, Josh is
00:08:23 gonna expound a little more on and
00:08:26 >> I think I’m looking forward to
00:08:29 >> hearing
00:08:32 I’m looking forward to hearing if he
00:08:33 brought anything if he’s hearing what
00:08:36 else he’s brought to the table.
00:08:38 >> One thing I maybe I can interject real
00:08:40 quick. I I do believe on regarding
00:08:43 Joseph Smith’s murder that Brigham Young
00:08:46 helped Planet, which is um
00:08:50 he was
00:08:53 the head of the most famous church that
00:08:56 broke off from Joseph Smith. Um so, um
00:09:02 >> be careful what you trust from believers
00:09:06 and non-believers on what Joseph Smith
00:09:08 actually said and taught. Okay, I’ll
00:09:11 just leave it at that.
00:09:12 >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. There’s there’s a lot
00:09:14 of
00:09:16 not so good gouge out there. Um,
00:09:19 >> so I I am going to be starting in verse
00:09:22 17 tonight.
00:09:25 Um,
00:09:27 so we’ll skip down there.
00:09:30 >> 17. Okay.
00:09:32 >> Yeah,
00:09:33 >> they because McCon’s divisions are
00:09:36 pretty good, but
00:09:37 >> Well, I want to start in 17 anyway.
00:09:39 Okay. All right. Okay.
00:09:42 >> So, um we will be studying primarily
00:09:45 from Doctrine Covenant section 84. I do
00:09:47 have a few other scriptures that I’ve
00:09:49 pulled out to kind of um
00:09:53 uh strengthen um some of this stuff. But
00:09:58 um primarily we’ll be studying from
00:10:02 uh Doctrine of Covenant section 84. Now,
00:10:04 I do want to give a little background
00:10:05 here because it’s going to seem a little
00:10:07 wonky where we start. Uh so the first
00:10:11 part of this section of the doctrine of
00:10:13 covenants is talking about New Jerusalem
00:10:15 and uh the sons of Moses and Aaron uh
00:10:19 performing u ordinances and stuff like
00:10:22 that by the priesthood in in u the place
00:10:26 called New Jerusalem
00:10:28 >> which has been prophesied in both the uh
00:10:30 old and new testament and various other
00:10:33 scriptures. Um,
00:10:36 but there
00:10:37 >> another name for New Jerusalem is Zion.
00:10:40 >> Yes.
00:10:41 >> It’s
00:10:43 it has to do with the second coming and
00:10:45 it’s patterned off or the city of Enoch
00:10:49 is patterned off of what’s coming. I
00:10:52 would say
00:10:53 >> yeah.
00:10:55 >> Yes.
00:10:56 It’s kind of a shadow or a pattern if
00:10:59 you will. Um
00:11:00 >> I think it was
00:11:01 >> so and so
00:11:03 >> then wants to say something. I do think
00:11:05 that from a historical perspective, it
00:11:07 would be more accurate to say that that
00:11:10 what is coming is patterned off of the
00:11:12 city of Enoch because that came
00:11:15 >> uh I I understand why people would say
00:11:16 that, but I have a different belief that
00:11:21 and this is me. It’s not a big deal.
00:11:23 Right.
00:11:24 >> Right. Not actually
00:11:27 >> city of Enoch is actually patterned off
00:11:29 to Zion.
00:11:30 >> Okay.
00:11:31 >> That’s the goal. But
00:11:33 I I do believe Enoch saw it. Uh I
00:11:36 believe Moses saw it. Anyways, this is a
00:11:39 personal opinion. It’s not a big deal
00:11:41 either way.
00:11:42 >> Ah, I see what you’re saying. I see
00:11:43 where you’re coming from.
00:11:44 >> Yeah. And and I will just add I do
00:11:48 believe that the temple in heaven that
00:11:51 Moses saw is the temple in Zion. But
00:11:53 anyways, this is these are minor facts
00:11:57 that um unless we start believing on
00:12:00 some
00:12:02 base. Uh there’s a chance you’re not
00:12:05 going to believe me on that. And that’s
00:12:06 fine. It’s not a big deal either way.
00:12:09 The the most important thing is
00:12:11 believing in Yeshua and his ways uh
00:12:15 which is known as Torah.
00:12:17 Yes. And uh so part of his ways or part
00:12:20 of his Torah is uh his power and uh the
00:12:24 authority that he gives to men to act in
00:12:29 his name which is called the priesthood.
00:12:33 Um
00:12:33 >> you can read about men
00:12:35 >> you can read about men having this
00:12:37 authority all through the Bible.
00:12:39 >> Yes. Moses had it, Noah had it. Uh
00:12:43 Abraham had it. Jacob had it. Uh, so
00:12:46 there’s there’s
00:12:47 >> Elijah, Elisha, Samuel, David. It’s all
00:12:51 over the place.
00:12:53 >> Saul until he threw it away.
00:12:55 >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So um but uh so there
00:12:59 are many many examples throughout the
00:13:02 Bible of men who held this
00:13:07 this power this authority this power and
00:13:10 were given the authority to act within
00:13:13 this power which is called the
00:13:14 priesthood. So the first part of this
00:13:16 section just to give continuity and
00:13:19 clarity is about how the sons of Moses
00:13:23 and Aaron who were of the tribe of Levi
00:13:26 um will be performing ordinances and
00:13:29 stuff like that. And then it gives the
00:13:32 his his line of priesthood all Moses’s
00:13:35 line of priesthood all the way down to
00:13:37 back to Adam. Um, so we’re going to
00:13:40 start in verse 17 and um, uh, Ben, would
00:13:44 you start us off?
00:13:46 >> Okay,
00:13:48 >> let’s see.
00:13:51 Which priesthood contin?
00:13:55 Elohim is the uh, Hebrew word for the
00:13:58 title of God
00:14:01 in all generations, and is without
00:14:03 beginning of days or end of years.
00:14:06 >> Okay.
00:14:08 Yep.
00:14:10 >> Yeah. Ben brought up though is how
00:14:14 um
00:14:16 God is um I would actually say is a bad
00:14:19 translation from the word Elohim which
00:14:22 means judge. And it and the reason I say
00:14:26 it’s bad is because it puts the Greek
00:14:28 ideas of Greek gods upon Yahweh
00:14:34 >> or upon God or Elohim,
00:14:37 >> which causes a lot of confusions. Um,
00:14:41 >> yes,
00:14:42 >> because the Greek ideas are very
00:14:45 different than the Hebrew ideas. And
00:14:47 I’ll just leave it at that.
00:14:49 >> Unless Josh wants me to say more, but
00:14:51 >> yeah. Uh Dwayne, we are we are reading
00:14:54 from a book of scripture called the
00:14:56 Doctrine and Covenants. Um and this is
00:15:00 why I have it on the screen because I
00:15:01 know that uh not everybody may actually
00:15:04 have uh this book of scripture uh
00:15:07 available to them. Uh so we are actually
00:15:10 reading from the Doctrine of Covenants,
00:15:11 but we will be reading scriptures from
00:15:13 other books of scripture tonight as
00:15:15 well. Uh the Old Testament and and all
00:15:18 that good stuff. So
00:15:19 >> yeah, this is a a modern um scripture
00:15:22 that uh came through Joseph Smith from
00:15:26 Yahweh Yeshua.
00:15:28 >> Um and so there’s not a lot of people
00:15:30 that believe it.
00:15:34 Generally those who believe it also
00:15:36 believe in Joseph Smith because it came
00:15:38 through Joseph Smith. So
00:15:40 >> yeah.
00:15:42 >> Yep. All right. Um Stephen, you want to
00:15:45 read verse 18 real quick?
00:15:47 >> Yeah. And Yahweh confirmed a priesthood
00:15:50 also upon Aaron and his seed or
00:15:53 descendants throughout all their
00:15:56 generations.
00:15:58 Um so even past the cross which um
00:16:04 and the reason that’s significant is
00:16:06 because uh there were some punishments
00:16:08 that ended at the cross. not the law but
00:16:11 some punishments known as the law of
00:16:13 Moses which is primarily the two daily
00:16:15 lambs but it also includes who could
00:16:18 have the ironic priesthood. Okay.
00:16:21 >> Now I I will just say this since we
00:16:23 brought up Saul. Saul was able to do
00:16:26 sacrifices but he was not of Levi. He
00:16:28 was Benjamin if I remember correctly.
00:16:31 >> He was of the tribe of Benjamin.
00:16:32 Correct.
00:16:32 >> Yeah. Okay. So I did remember correctly.
00:16:34 um not a Levite, but he could perform
00:16:37 offerings, sacrifices, which only the
00:16:40 Levites could do, which shows there’s a
00:16:42 little more going on than what most
00:16:44 people are aware of. Okay? which
00:16:47 priesthood also continuth and abideth
00:16:50 forever with the priesthood which is
00:16:53 after the holy order of Elohim. So it’s
00:16:57 just saying that the holy priesthood
00:17:00 um or the high priesthood but this is
00:17:02 the ironic priesthood which is the lower
00:17:04 priesthood is after the holy order of
00:17:07 Elohim as in the way that Elohim wants
00:17:10 things done.
00:17:12 >> Right.
00:17:12 >> Yep. And also and also something that’s
00:17:16 very important with these two verses is
00:17:18 that it indicates
00:17:20 um that that that this that while the
00:17:25 while this higher priesthood was given
00:17:29 uh was is had in the church of Elohim in
00:17:32 all generations, there is another
00:17:35 priesthood that was given um there there
00:17:39 is another priest uh there is a
00:17:41 preparatory priesthood
00:17:43 um that uh was given to Aaron and his
00:17:47 sons.
00:17:48 >> Yes.
00:17:48 >> Right.
00:17:49 >> Hence why I said the lower and and
00:17:52 higher. Right.
00:17:52 >> Right. Right.
00:17:53 >> The lower as a subset of the higher.
00:17:56 >> Yes. And we’ll we’ll get into that here
00:17:58 in in just a little bit. Um, so this
00:18:03 greater priesthood administerth the
00:18:05 gospel and holdeth the key of the
00:18:07 mysteries of the kingdom, even the key
00:18:09 of the knowledge of Elohim.
00:18:13 Uh, where was I?
00:18:16 Yes. Holds the keys of the mysteries.
00:18:18 Now,
00:18:20 we we should go to doctrine another
00:18:22 doctrine in covenants scripture which is
00:18:24 63 verse 23 because there’s a key to
00:18:28 receiving the key of the mysteries.
00:18:31 Yeah. So one quick I will say this
00:18:33 greater is another way of saying the
00:18:36 higher.
00:18:37 >> Yes.
00:18:38 >> Right.
00:18:39 >> Yep.
00:18:39 >> Hence
00:18:41 greater higher. I mean those go
00:18:42 together. Right.
00:18:43 >> Greater greater would greater can also
00:18:46 mean uh more all-encompassing.
00:18:49 >> Right.
00:18:50 >> Yes.
00:18:53 >> I thought you said 63.
00:18:55 >> Yep. Verse 23.
00:19:00 Okay.
00:19:01 >> And that says, “But unto him that
00:19:03 keepeth my commandments, oh
00:19:07 my commandments,
00:19:09 his law,
00:19:12 those that keep his law, I will give the
00:19:15 mysteries of my kingdom. The same shall
00:19:18 be in him. And the same shall be in him
00:19:20 a well of living water springing up unto
00:19:23 everlasting life.” his law, studying his
00:19:26 law, keeping his law is the key to
00:19:30 receiving the mysteries of his kingdom.
00:19:33 >> So, uh I and hopefully this is not a
00:19:36 problem, but let’s go look at the word
00:19:38 mysteries. Okay.
00:19:39 >> Yeah.
00:19:41 >> So, let me change the share words.
00:19:45 >> Well, I was actually going to say that
00:19:47 we needed to go to the Webster
00:19:49 dictionary next.
00:19:50 >> Okay. Yeah. Okay. So, we’re on the same
00:19:53 wavelength.
00:19:54 >> Yes, we’re on the same page.
00:19:55 >> Mhm.
00:19:57 >> Well, and the other thing, while we’re
00:19:59 at the Webster’s dictionary looking up
00:20:02 mysteries, we can also look up key.
00:20:04 >> Uh, sure. That would be a good idea,
00:20:06 actually.
00:20:06 >> Keys and mysteries. Yes, that was the
00:20:09 very next thing on my we’re all on the
00:20:11 same page.
00:20:13 >> Okay.
00:20:14 So
00:20:16 let’s do
00:20:23 ah silly me. Okay, there it is.
00:20:31 So a profound secret,
00:20:36 something wholly unknown or something
00:20:38 kept cautiously
00:20:40 concealed.
00:20:43 Caution does not denote deceit.
00:20:49 Just so we’re clear on that
00:20:53 >> and therefore exciting curiosity or
00:20:55 wonder.
00:20:56 >> So a mystery is something that is not
00:20:58 commonly known.
00:21:00 >> Correct.
00:21:01 >> Yeah. Uh I I actually like definition
00:21:04 two if I can read that one. John
00:21:07 >> in religion which is where we’re the
00:21:10 subject we’re in right now. anything in
00:21:12 the character or attributes of Elohim or
00:21:15 an economy of divine providence which is
00:21:18 not revealed to man.
00:21:22 So when he’s saying he’s revealing a
00:21:24 mystery, he’s revealing something new,
00:21:27 right?
00:21:28 >> Or forgotten, right? Because through
00:21:33 >> apostasies or when people forget about
00:21:36 Yahweh and his ways,
00:21:38 >> people fall away from the truth.
00:21:40 >> Yeah. They they lose information about
00:21:43 him, right? Yes, they do. Be revealed
00:21:46 again.
00:21:47 >> And it’s scary how fast that happens.
00:21:50 >> And one thing, there’s a lot of
00:21:54 there’s some weird things in the Bible.
00:21:56 I will just admit to that. In fact, in
00:21:58 the Book of Mormon and the DNC, okay,
00:22:00 there’s some weird things there. But
00:22:02 when you understand what it’s getting at
00:22:04 or the mysteries behind this, it
00:22:07 actually makes a lot of sense. Okay?
00:22:10 I’ll just leave it at that.
00:22:12 >> Yep.
00:22:13 Yep. And then let’s look up key or keys.
00:22:16 Okay. Yeah.
00:22:22 >> An instrument. Uh let me see where was
00:22:24 it?
00:22:32 >> That which serves to explain anything
00:22:34 difficult to be understood.
00:22:36 >> Okay. Which number is that?
00:22:38 >> Seven.
00:22:41 But what is but how do we attain the
00:22:44 keys to these mysteries? Going back to
00:22:47 doctrine and covenants section 63 verse
00:22:49 23 it says through obedience to his
00:22:52 commandments. Keeping his commandments
00:22:55 is the key.
00:22:57 >> And that if we also go back to doctrine
00:22:59 of covenant section 84
00:23:02 >> I believe 19 right?
00:23:06 >> Um yes.
00:23:10 Even the key,
00:23:11 >> the greater priesthood administereth the
00:23:13 gospel and holdeth the key of the
00:23:15 mysteries of the kingdom. So it’s in
00:23:19 this it’s in this greater power that
00:23:23 that it’s by this greater power of
00:23:25 Elohim that things are that mysteries
00:23:27 are made known to to us. Um
00:23:33 >> I think
00:23:34 >> so and I I do agree with Ben. I I I
00:23:38 would say it a little different.
00:23:41 Those who receive the higher priesthood
00:23:44 or greater priesthood are those who are
00:23:46 closer to Yahweh
00:23:49 >> including his character or behavior.
00:23:52 And because of that they are re are
00:23:56 given more
00:23:59 >> understanding which then
00:24:02 um makes it so these what things
00:24:06 were mysterious before are now like oh
00:24:10 that makes complete sense now right
00:24:13 >> and and I will just say I don’t know if
00:24:16 Josh wants to go here but Elma 129
00:24:19 through 111 does bring out how the the
00:24:21 more commandments you keep or the closer
00:24:24 you become like Yeshua because that’s
00:24:26 what the commandments are all about.
00:24:28 >> Stephen, it’s like you and me are on the
00:24:29 same wavelength.
00:24:30 >> Oh, okay. So, maybe I’ll go bring it up.
00:24:33 >> Um, that the more information you will
00:24:38 receive because you’re more like him and
00:24:41 he can trust you with more. Right.
00:24:43 >> Correct. Yep.
00:24:45 >> Um,
00:24:47 yeah, it’s 9 through 11.
00:24:49 >> Yep.
00:24:49 >> So, this is Elma 12 9 through 11.
00:24:52 And now Allah began to expound these
00:24:54 things unto him, saying, “It is given
00:24:56 unto many to know the mysteries of
00:24:58 Elohim. Nevertheless, they are laid
00:25:01 under a strict command that they shall
00:25:03 not impart only according to the portion
00:25:06 of his word, which he doth grant unto
00:25:07 the children of men, according to the
00:25:10 heed and diligence which they give unto
00:25:13 him.” So those are two interesting words
00:25:15 there, heed and diligence. That’s
00:25:18 stronger than listening and and desire.
00:25:21 That is that is internalizing and acting
00:25:24 upon what you have been given.
00:25:27 >> And I let me add a little more. Heed has
00:25:30 to do with trust.
00:25:33 >> Heed and diligence is faith. Faith is
00:25:35 trust and diligence. The heed is the
00:25:38 trusting as in you believe in Yahweh’s
00:25:40 words, Yeshua’s words. And the diligence
00:25:43 is keeping his commandments.
00:25:46 >> Yes.
00:25:46 >> Which is faith.
00:25:47 >> Yes. Yes.
00:25:48 >> So right there is faith.
00:25:50 Yeah, the very definition of it. And
00:25:53 therefore, he that will harden his
00:25:55 heart, Yame receiveth the lesser portion
00:25:58 of the word. And he that will not harden
00:26:01 his heart, to him is given the greater
00:26:04 portion of the word until it is given
00:26:06 unto him to know the mysteries of Elohim
00:26:09 until he know them in full. So line upon
00:26:13 line, precept upon precept until you
00:26:17 reach
00:26:19 full knowledge. Now, I do want to bring
00:26:22 one thing out. I know a lot of people
00:26:23 think I’m obsessed with Torah. Yes, I
00:26:26 am. Because guess what? That is Yahweh’s
00:26:28 character and how we can become like him
00:26:31 so we’ll know him. Um, and they’re
00:26:34 talking about hardening the heart or
00:26:37 softening the heart or the opposite of
00:26:39 that, right? And it is on the heart that
00:26:43 the scriptures, Old Testament, New
00:26:45 Testament, Book of Mormon, and the
00:26:47 Doctrine Covenant state that his ways,
00:26:50 his law, his Torah needs to be written.
00:26:53 >> Yep.
00:26:54 >> Right. Yep.
00:26:55 >> This is about keeping his ways, his
00:26:58 Torah. When you do that, he will give
00:27:00 you more. No,
00:27:02 >> you’re more like him and you’re more
00:27:05 ready to understand
00:27:07 his mysteries because you are like him.
00:27:11 >> Yeah.
00:27:11 >> Or more like him. Right. Anyway,
00:27:14 >> right. Yes.
00:27:16 >> Okay.
00:27:16 >> Yeah.
00:27:17 >> And as with regards to that writing the
00:27:20 law on our hearts in I do know that in
00:27:24 Jeremiah 31 it says in the new covenant
00:27:26 that the law will be written upon our
00:27:28 hearts.
00:27:30 That And uh in fact I do believe
00:27:35 that it states that he will write it
00:27:36 upon
00:27:38 it may state that he will write it upon
00:27:40 our hearts. But the facts of the matter,
00:27:44 the facts of the matter are
00:27:47 of in often times when uh
00:27:53 when the servant
00:27:56 when the servant does his master’s will,
00:27:59 it is it is as if the master himself is
00:28:01 doing it. And so as we write the Torah
00:28:05 upon our own hearts
00:28:07 by keeping the commandments and walking
00:28:11 in the revealed character of Y, you see
00:28:14 the commandments were not given to us by
00:28:16 Yah
00:28:18 as a means
00:28:20 to
00:28:22 as just a means to control our behavior.
00:28:26 Now they can serve to do that at a basic
00:28:28 level, but that’s not the reason that
00:28:31 they were given to us. They were given
00:28:32 to us so that we could know who he is
00:28:35 >> and that we can become like him.
00:28:37 >> Right. By walking in those commandments,
00:28:40 we become like him.
00:28:41 >> Yes.
00:28:43 >> Character in character.
00:28:45 >> Right. We take his
00:28:46 >> He far excelled. He will always far
00:28:48 excel us.
00:28:51 >> Yeah.
00:28:52 >> Well, for one, he never broke it. So,
00:28:54 >> yeah.
00:28:54 >> Right. Yeah. that that and in that and
00:28:57 in that aspect alone
00:29:00 uh we will never come close
00:29:02 >> and we need him to know what it is
00:29:05 actually.
00:29:06 >> Correct.
00:29:07 We also need him and we also need him
00:29:10 and the atonement
00:29:13 to be able to become like him to turn
00:29:16 away from our evilness and to
00:29:20 turn our hearts to him and come under
00:29:22 his covering.
00:29:25 >> Yeah.
00:29:25 >> And have him wipe those sins away. So if
00:29:29 just on that point, we don’t have to get
00:29:30 into it, but second Nephi 9 does bring
00:29:32 out how if it wasn’t for the atonement,
00:29:37 uh there would be no point.
00:29:40 >> Mhm.
00:29:41 >> Uh and we don’t have to
00:29:42 >> it’s only point. Yeah.
00:29:44 >> Yeah. But along those points, without
00:29:46 the atonement, it’s a it doesn’t matter
00:29:48 what you do
00:29:49 >> because if you do one mini minuscule
00:29:54 sin,
00:29:56 >> that’s too much.
00:29:59 And the ma the main reason that we know
00:30:02 that the commandments and the law are a
00:30:05 re revelation of Yoh’s character is it
00:30:08 because of the two great commandments.
00:30:11 >> The two great commandments go like this.
00:30:14 Love your elimin
00:30:18 with all your heart, might, mind, and
00:30:21 strength. The second is like unto it.
00:30:24 you’ll love your neighbor as yourself.
00:30:27 But it all starts
00:30:29 >> I I I do want to add sorry Ben uh this
00:30:32 thus hangs all the law Torah
00:30:35 >> and the prophets or other words the
00:30:37 commentary from the prophets
00:30:40 >> right and and because all the law and
00:30:42 the prophets hangs on these two great
00:30:44 commandments first of which is the first
00:30:46 of which being to love Elohim.
00:30:49 It shows you
00:30:52 from the from this connection from this
00:30:54 connection point the law being connected
00:30:56 to loving Elohim that the law is the
00:30:59 revelation of his character.
00:31:02 >> Yes.
00:31:04 >> In fact Torah is divided in two parts.
00:31:08 The first five how to love Yahweh. The
00:31:10 last five how to love your neighbor and
00:31:13 yourself.
00:31:15 >> Yes. It’s kind of a it’s kind of a
00:31:17 double whammy commandment that second
00:31:19 one.
00:31:20 >> Yeah.
00:31:21 >> A lot of people like to like to forget
00:31:23 about the as yourself part. Uh but
00:31:27 >> well on that part and and an important
00:31:30 thing is they’re on kosher
00:31:32 >> or food law
00:31:34 >> because if you’re eating poison you’re
00:31:37 slowly killing yourself
00:31:40 >> aka murder.
00:31:42 >> Yeah. No shout not murder. Yeah.
00:31:46 >> So this is and so there there is a
00:31:49 reason behind every single commandment
00:31:51 that has been given in in scripture.
00:31:56 Period.
00:31:57 >> Torah.
00:31:59 >> Yes.
00:32:01 >> All right. So we’re going to go back to
00:32:03 Doctrine of Covenants section 84.
00:32:06 >> Oh no, wrong one. Sorry.
00:32:10 We kind of tangented a little bit, but
00:32:12 it was a good tangent and I’m glad we
00:32:14 did it because this this is very
00:32:16 important stuff.
00:32:18 >> Okay. All right. So, we just finished
00:32:21 19. So, um uh Brennan, would you mind
00:32:26 reading verse 20?
00:32:32 Um, therefore, in the ordinances
00:32:35 thereof, the power of godliness is
00:32:37 manifest. Oh, that’s a the ordinances of
00:32:41 what?
00:32:42 >> Yeah. Yeah. So, I I I’m sure Josh is
00:32:45 like saying let’s go to the dictionary.
00:32:46 It’s all
00:32:48 >> I am saying let’s go to the dictionary.
00:32:50 >> Well, that’s I I know what the primary
00:32:54 definition of ordinance is. And it has
00:32:56 nothing to do with a ceremony.
00:33:00 >> If I could, sorry guys, I don’t know how
00:33:03 to spell. O R D I
00:33:06 >> O
00:33:08 R D I
00:33:09 >> Yeah. O R D I
00:33:13 N A
00:33:16 >> N C E.
00:33:18 >> Okay. So I did I’ve never won a spelling
00:33:21 be if anybody was wondering.
00:33:23 >> Right.
00:33:26 >> No, nobody was wondering. Uh
00:33:29 >> nobody that knows me anyway.
00:33:31 >> Okay. The primary definition of
00:33:33 ordinance, a rule established by
00:33:37 authority,
00:33:39 >> a permanent rule of action.
00:33:42 So ordinances,
00:33:44 the primary rule of the primary
00:33:46 definition of ordinances is laws.
00:33:50 >> Yeah.
00:33:52 >> So it’s in the law.
00:33:54 >> Yeah.
00:33:55 >> That now
00:33:56 >> the power of godliness is made manifest.
00:33:58 Uh I I do want to bring out the part of
00:34:01 the reason we know it’s law here is
00:34:03 because the history of Joseph Smith.
00:34:05 Okay.
00:34:07 >> Uh he he was not he didn’t have any
00:34:10 ordinance until when he had the first
00:34:12 vision when he saw Yahweh. It’s the laws
00:34:16 >> that matter that tell us about Yahweh
00:34:19 and his character and his attributes.
00:34:21 Mhm.
00:34:23 >> Um,
00:34:24 >> so but
00:34:25 >> the ceremonies do too because they’re
00:34:27 part of the law, but they’re
00:34:29 >> they go with the priesthood.
00:34:31 >> They go with the priesthood. Yes.
00:34:33 >> Yeah. They’re a subset of the law, aka
00:34:37 Torah.
00:34:38 >> Um, or every word of Yah,
00:34:41 >> which is what we’re supposed to live by.
00:34:44 Every, not just your favorite.
00:34:48 Um, and that is what tells us about
00:34:52 y’all.
00:34:53 >> Yes.
00:34:55 >> Not just the ones that you’re already
00:34:57 good at keeping.
00:34:59 >> Right.
00:35:00 >> Well, those two, but yeah, on the just
00:35:02 and Ben knows that with the word just to
00:35:04 use because meaning there’s additional
00:35:06 ones,
00:35:07 >> right? because everybody’s got lo
00:35:10 everybody’s got things that they
00:35:12 struggled with
00:35:13 >> and those and it’s important to
00:35:16 >> stop struggling with them.
00:35:18 >> Yeah.
00:35:18 >> Yeah. A and you should find a good
00:35:21 fellowship
00:35:23 uh who are real friends who will help
00:35:26 you. I will say real friends don’t let
00:35:30 you keep doing evil things. real friends
00:35:34 will speak up and say, “Uh, maybe you
00:35:38 should change this or I I mean, I’m
00:35:40 being a little weak in the language, but
00:35:42 you should change this.” Right.
00:35:43 >> Right. Yeah.
00:35:44 >> Um because we are looking out for
00:35:50 um each other’s well-being uh temporal
00:35:54 and spiritual.
00:35:56 >> Yeah. Now I will say I do I do think uh
00:36:00 definition four has some credence here
00:36:03 established right or ceremony because
00:36:05 that goes along with the
00:36:08 uh duties of the priesthood and things
00:36:10 of that nature.
00:36:12 >> But all these ceremonies and rights that
00:36:14 have been established, correct? uh tie
00:36:17 back in some way, shape or fashion to
00:36:20 the law and they’re highlighting
00:36:23 important things within the law that is
00:36:26 that it is important for us to know and
00:36:29 understand.
00:36:31 >> Yes. Now, it is um
00:36:35 >> I will also say that an ordinance that
00:36:37 does not tie back into the law or the
00:36:41 character of Yeshua
00:36:44 does is not of Elohim.
00:36:49 >> You’re correct. Yeah. Um
00:36:53 and I will say pagan holidays. Um but um
00:36:59 >> yes,
00:36:59 >> these rights are a subset of the law
00:37:03 which is better known as Torah in my
00:37:06 opinion.
00:37:07 >> Um
00:37:09 >> but it’s all of that that teaches us
00:37:12 who’s his his character. I I mean and I
00:37:15 don’t know how much we want to get into
00:37:16 this cuz we you can even see that in
00:37:18 Elma 13 among other places. Even
00:37:22 Hebrews, it’s all over the place.
00:37:24 >> Mhm. Um but on on in the Hebrews or book
00:37:29 of Hebrews, you need to understand
00:37:34 there’s uh Paul loves the word law.
00:37:37 Okay? He just does and he calls
00:37:40 everything a law, which ultimately is
00:37:42 true. It’s just not generally how we
00:37:44 talk about it.
00:37:45 >> Right. Right.
00:37:47 >> But there’s three important ones to
00:37:49 consider. Torah,
00:37:52 law of Moses, which is Torah plus
00:37:54 punishments uh because of sins that were
00:37:57 done and the oral law or the false
00:38:00 traditions of men. Okay.
00:38:01 >> Correct. Right.
00:38:02 >> With with those three
00:38:05 and and and also just knowing the rest
00:38:08 of the word of Yahw, you can figure a
00:38:11 lot out on your own,
00:38:13 >> right? Uh and and Paul has Paul has some
00:38:16 extra and Paul has some extra ones
00:38:17 thrown in there like the law of sin and
00:38:19 death which is if you sin you die.
00:38:21 That’s the basic summation of the law of
00:38:23 sin and death.
00:38:24 >> Yeah. Well, if that’s the wages of sin
00:38:27 is death. And so that’s why I’m saying
00:38:29 he loves the word law. But yes, I mean
00:38:32 it’s it’s it’s he might be obsessed too,
00:38:34 right? Uh anyway.
00:38:35 >> Oh yeah, he was obsessed with that word
00:38:37 for sure. Um, now there is something
00:38:40 else I wanted to focus on in this verse
00:38:42 and it’s the word manifest. So, let’s
00:38:45 look up the word manifest in the
00:38:48 Webster’s dictionary.
00:38:50 >> Okay.
00:39:00 >> M I Yep. I f Yep.
00:39:04 >> Okay, there we go.
00:39:06 plain, open, clearly visible to the eye
00:39:10 or obvious to the understanding.
00:39:13 Apparent as in not obscure or difficult
00:39:16 to be seen or understood.
00:39:20 >> This verse is so short but so awesome,
00:39:26 right?
00:39:27 >> Yeah.
00:39:27 >> In the ordinances thereof, the power of
00:39:29 godliness is made plain,
00:39:33 >> clearly visible. So, i.e. the the the
00:39:38 power of God is made visible in those
00:39:42 who keep his ordinances.
00:39:44 >> Yeah. So, I I’m going to go a step
00:39:46 further. Torah is the power of Elohim.
00:39:49 And I see that throughout the
00:39:50 scriptures, all the whole cannon,
00:39:53 >> Bible, Old Testament, New Testament,
00:39:55 Book of Mormon, DNC.
00:39:57 Okay.
00:39:58 >> Yep.
00:39:59 >> Now, yes, I agree. Now going to doctrine
00:40:03 of covenants section 84 verse 21. It
00:40:06 takes it a step further.
00:40:08 >> Okay, let’s see it.
00:40:11 >> Okay, it says without the ordinances and
00:40:15 the authority of the priesthood, the
00:40:17 power of godliness is not manifest unto
00:40:21 men in the flesh.
00:40:24 >> Yeah.
00:40:25 >> Let’s go to Webster’s dictionary and
00:40:27 look up authority.
00:40:29 Okay, that’s a loaded word and one that
00:40:32 nowadays that that
00:40:34 >> it’s a very loaded word.
00:40:37 >> Okay, so one thing we do need while I’m
00:40:39 getting this. Oh, I spelled it right. Is
00:40:42 to know uh just because people claim
00:40:44 they have the authority of y’all, it
00:40:46 does not mean they actually do. Okay.
00:40:49 >> Right.
00:40:50 >> Yeah. Yeah. I will say that most do not.
00:40:56 Right. Uh
00:40:59 >> um well and the and the way that you
00:41:02 know that they do not have his authority
00:41:04 is because they say they say things in
00:41:07 his name that he would not say.
00:41:11 >> Correct. And they do things in his name
00:41:13 that he would not do.
00:41:16 >> Yes.
00:41:17 >> I mean the cru the Christian crusades uh
00:41:20 back in the day are a perfect example of
00:41:22 this. Anyway,
00:41:23 >> yeah. So on that point that was murder.
00:41:26 Um, yep.
00:41:27 >> Yahweh only allows people to defend
00:41:30 their own land, not go off and take
00:41:32 other people’s. Um,
00:41:34 >> yep.
00:41:35 >> Which actually, yes, I am also speaking
00:41:37 against modern wars.
00:41:40 >> Yeah. As most of them are.
00:41:42 >> The Book of Mormon teaches it clearly
00:41:44 and so does this that the rest of the
00:41:46 scriptures. It is so clear. It is so
00:41:50 clear that you are not to engage in
00:41:54 warfare
00:41:57 on land that is not yours.
00:41:59 >> Yeah. Now I I will say this. Joshua was
00:42:04 taking his or the land that Yahweh gave
00:42:07 him and the Israelites and the mixed
00:42:09 multitude that was with him. Um and so
00:42:13 Joshua is not an exception. and he was
00:42:15 just working on taking his land
00:42:19 that was his.
00:42:20 >> It was his. So he was uh defending his
00:42:23 own land actually when you know what’s
00:42:26 going on. And you can see throughout the
00:42:28 scriptures that Yahweh gave it to him.
00:42:31 So
00:42:31 >> right
00:42:32 >> now I do understand if you don’t believe
00:42:33 in the scriptures that’s convenient but
00:42:36 if you do believe in the scriptures
00:42:38 um how much of it do you really believe?
00:42:41 Because Yahweh did give that land to the
00:42:44 Israelites and the mixed multitude that
00:42:46 converted. So,
00:42:47 >> Right.
00:42:48 >> Right.
00:42:49 >> They were the seed. They were the seed
00:42:51 of Abraham.
00:42:52 >> Yeah.
00:42:52 >> And I do think it’s important that
00:42:54 people realize that the mixed multitude
00:42:57 was also the seed of Abraham though they
00:43:00 were not born to Abraham or his sons.
00:43:04 >> Yeah. So seed has multiple definitions.
00:43:07 One is follower.
00:43:10 Yes. So this idea that people who were
00:43:14 that up until the time of Yeshua the
00:43:17 only people who were uh the only people
00:43:21 who were required you know the only
00:43:24 people for whom um
00:43:27 to whom Yah’s character was revealed
00:43:30 were um
00:43:33 the son the sons and daughters of Yahov
00:43:36 or Jacob.
00:43:40 This is it’s manifestly it’s made
00:43:42 actually manifestly false in the old in
00:43:45 the uh in the Tanakh itself.
00:43:49 >> Tanakh is the Old Testament just in case
00:43:51 people don’t know.
00:43:53 >> Yes. Yeah. Yeah.
00:43:56 >> They So when Yeshua tells the apostles
00:43:59 in the New Testament to go teach the
00:44:02 gospel to the Gentiles, he’s simply
00:44:04 giving them an injunction to do what
00:44:06 Israel should have been doing all along.
00:44:09 Yeah.
00:44:10 >> Yes. And he did do it with some specific
00:44:13 timing that goes with the 70 years or 77
00:44:18 years, right? Um
00:44:21 >> and that’s a whole another discussion.
00:44:23 Um but that goes with Daniel 9,
00:44:26 >> right?
00:44:27 >> But he did send them out to go to the
00:44:30 Gentiles where initially he said not to.
00:44:33 And it has to do with specific timing
00:44:35 that deals with prophecies. Okay.
00:44:38 >> Yeah.
00:44:39 having to do with um uh keeping uh with
00:44:44 keeping the covenant for a week as
00:44:46 according to Daniel 9 with
00:44:48 >> Yes. that last week. Yes.
00:44:50 >> Last week.
00:44:51 >> But they were always supposed to share.
00:44:54 That’s why they were their firstborn.
00:44:56 The firstborn shares it with others.
00:44:58 >> Right.
00:45:00 So in the doctrine of covenant section
00:45:01 84 uh where it says without the
00:45:03 ordinances and authority
00:45:07 >> of the priesthood
00:45:09 right so what is authority?
00:45:14 >> Uh well should we go back? Um
00:45:16 >> yes
00:45:17 >> what is authority?
00:45:18 >> Authority is something that a lot of
00:45:19 people have a problem with.
00:45:22 >> Yeah me included.
00:45:23 >> Yes they do.
00:45:25 Well, I I I will admit I have authority
00:45:28 authority problem with the world and
00:45:30 those
00:45:30 >> Yes.
00:45:31 >> religious leaders who claim it that
00:45:33 actually don’t have it. So,
00:45:34 >> Right. Right.
00:45:35 >> Um I actually don’t have a problem with
00:45:37 real authority and authority that does
00:45:40 not go over their bounds also, which
00:45:42 also is dealt in DC21, which we won’t
00:45:45 probably won’t go over, but anyways.
00:45:46 >> Nope, not not tonight. But um yeah, but
00:45:50 um so let’s read some of these um
00:45:53 definitions, right? Legal power or a
00:45:57 right to command or to act as the
00:46:00 authority of a prince over subjects and
00:46:03 parents over their children. Right?
00:46:05 Power rule sway.
00:46:08 Then authority is the power derive uh
00:46:10 power derived from opinion, respect or
00:46:12 esteem.
00:46:14 testimony, witness, weight of testimony,
00:46:17 weight of character.
00:46:22 And what is this all about? We’re we’re
00:46:23 we’re taking on us the character of
00:46:27 Yahwa, of Elohim,
00:46:29 >> right?
00:46:30 >> Well, in the influence of character,
00:46:32 that means that we’re like Yahweh gives
00:46:34 his authority to those who are becoming
00:46:37 like him,
00:46:38 >> right?
00:46:39 which then goes how shows how their
00:46:42 character has influenced others to
00:46:43 become like Yeshua also which is what
00:46:46 Apollo is all about. Right.
00:46:47 >> Yeah. And might I also might I also
00:46:51 bring forward um that
00:46:56 >> it is stated in Doctrine of Covenant
00:46:58 section 121 that no power or author no
00:47:02 power ought to be wielded by virtue of
00:47:05 the priesthood alone but by persuasion
00:47:08 and longsuffering
00:47:10 >> and uh all of these things. So the point
00:47:13 is we’re supposed to be the priesthood
00:47:16 is supposed to Uh you’re not supposed to
00:47:19 cite the priesthood to
00:47:22 >> no because power over another. You’re
00:47:25 supposed to Yes.
00:47:26 >> The way that you will be able to
00:47:28 continue to have power in the priesthood
00:47:31 is through using influence.
00:47:34 >> Yes. Now I I I will add if the influence
00:47:38 doesn’t work and they don’t change their
00:47:40 ways there comes a point where the
00:47:43 leadership or those in authority have to
00:47:46 excommunicate.
00:47:48 >> Yes.
00:47:49 >> But uh you’re not forcing
00:47:53 uh them to do anything even with that.
00:47:55 You’re just saying well okay you don’t
00:47:58 want to follow dictates of the church so
00:48:02 you must not want to be part of the
00:48:03 church. So, I’ll just take care of it.
00:48:05 >> Byebye. Yeah, exactly.
00:48:06 >> I’ll take care of it. Okay.
00:48:07 >> And then number six, warrant, order, or
00:48:10 permission.
00:48:14 >> The word permission.
00:48:17 >> Do you want me to look up that word or?
00:48:19 >> No, no. I I’m saying the word permission
00:48:21 sticks out to me in that definition.
00:48:23 >> Yes. Yes. Because because if we are
00:48:26 living according to Torah, we are given
00:48:29 the permission
00:48:31 >> to act as he would act and to do as he
00:48:34 would do in these situations.
00:48:36 And if we are living by his law and
00:48:40 living in his appointed way, we will not
00:48:43 go outside the bounds that he has set.
00:48:46 >> Yeah. So, one example that pops in my
00:48:48 head, I think it’s Acts two if I
00:48:50 remember correctly with uh Peter and
00:48:56 oh, the two liars, the husband wife
00:48:57 liars. Um
00:48:59 >> Oh, um the ones who withheld the money.
00:49:02 Yeah. Um
00:49:02 >> well, they they lied about it. It’s not
00:49:05 that they withheld it. The issue is that
00:49:06 they lied about it,
00:49:08 >> right?
00:49:09 >> And lying is actually a capital sin.
00:49:13 Mhm.
00:49:14 >> Um when you go look at the definition uh
00:49:16 specifics when you go look into the Old
00:49:19 Testament,
00:49:21 uh Peter
00:49:23 simply
00:49:25 uh bound what heaven said before in his
00:49:31 word, Yahweh said in his word before
00:49:33 >> and made it happen on earth because he
00:49:36 was like Yeshua and Yeshua gave him that
00:49:39 power. So he did it by word only.
00:49:44 >> Okay?
00:49:45 >> Because it was according to Yahweh’s
00:49:48 word.
00:49:50 >> Which was stated before that. It was not
00:49:53 just made up at the time of Acts 2.
00:49:55 Okay.
00:49:56 >> Right. Right.
00:49:58 >> Peter was following what was stated in
00:50:00 the Old Testament aka the word of Yahw.
00:50:04 So
00:50:05 >> once again showing that the old so
00:50:08 showing that the old testament was valid
00:50:11 after the death of Yeshua
00:50:13 >> right
00:50:14 >> uh among many other examples but yes
00:50:17 >> yes
00:50:18 >> all right so in doctrine of covenants
00:50:20 section 84 moving on from 21 this is an
00:50:24 interesting verse in 22
00:50:27 because it says
00:50:29 for without this and what is is
00:50:34 >> the laws
00:50:35 >> the laws
00:50:36 >> laws and priesthood
00:50:37 >> the laws and priesthood and the author
00:50:39 well the laws and the authority of the
00:50:40 priesthood right
00:50:41 >> yeah and I would say more since this is
00:50:44 this this is singular I would say the
00:50:47 first thing that’s talked about is the
00:50:49 this which is the laws Torah
00:50:51 >> right yeah yep so with for without this
00:50:55 no man can see the face of Elohim even
00:50:58 the father and live Yeah. So I I do know
00:51:05 in Christrysom there was a big debate
00:51:07 whether if you can see Yahweh face to
00:51:10 face. Moses did, the 70 did. Many of the
00:51:13 prophets did.
00:51:15 >> Yep. And actually we can go to Exodus
00:51:17 chapter 24 I think verses 9 through 11
00:51:20 will attest to that.
00:51:23 >> Yeah. And I just say Gideon did. Uh
00:51:26 >> yeah,
00:51:27 >> a lot of people did.
00:51:29 >> Sam’s son’s parents did. So, Exodus 24
00:51:33 and I’m just trying to name some things
00:51:34 off the memory, but
00:51:36 >> 24 verses 9 through 11, I want to say.
00:51:39 >> Okay,
00:51:40 >> I’m not mistaken. Yep, there it is. Then
00:51:42 went up Moses and Aaron, Nadab, and Abu
00:51:45 and 70 of the elders of Yeshel or
00:51:47 Israel, and they saw the Elohim of
00:51:50 Yeshel, and they saw him. It doesn’t say
00:51:54 cloud. It doesn’t say they saw a fire.
00:51:58 It says they saw him
00:52:01 >> Elohim face. I know here it doesn’t say
00:52:04 face to face, but that is
00:52:06 >> that’s an idiom in Hebrew to mean you
00:52:09 see him cuz you’re it’s actually in in
00:52:14 Hebrew it’s four eyes. Yeah, I’m not
00:52:18 kidding. It’s not making fun of glasses.
00:52:21 It actually is four eyes,
00:52:22 >> right? cuz it’s the the the two eyes of
00:52:26 my face and the two eyes of Yahweh’s
00:52:28 face, four eyes face to face. So anyway,
00:52:32 >> and there was under his feet as it were
00:52:34 paid work of sapphire stone. And as it
00:52:36 were the body of heaven and his
00:52:37 clearness, and upon the nobles
00:52:39 >> of the children of Israel, he laid not
00:52:42 his hand. Also they saw Elohim and did
00:52:45 eat and drink. So the 70 and the nobles.
00:52:50 >> Well, I I do think the 70 is the nobles.
00:52:52 The nobles have to do how they’re
00:52:54 keeping Yahweh’s ways. Actually,
00:52:57 >> okay.
00:52:58 >> They’re in leadership because they’re
00:53:00 keeping Yahweh’s ways.
00:53:02 >> Um that’s why they’re the nobles is
00:53:04 because they’re the leadership and
00:53:06 they’re in the leadership
00:53:09 uh because they’re doing what they’re
00:53:11 supposed to be doing and people see it.
00:53:13 Okay.
00:53:14 >> Yes. Yes.
00:53:16 >> Absolutely. So we we see here that that
00:53:19 throughout the history of the world
00:53:22 there have been quite a few people who
00:53:24 have actually seen Elohim and talked
00:53:27 with him face to face
00:53:31 as as we’re talking right now. I mean we
00:53:35 can’t we’re not
00:53:37 >> kind of right
00:53:38 >> but we can see each other. We can hear
00:53:40 each other.
00:53:41 >> And that’s how they conversed with him.
00:53:43 They saw him. They talked to him. He
00:53:45 talked to them. They had conversation.
00:53:49 Oh,
00:53:52 pretty cool. I think
00:53:54 >> and it’s very helpful. One of the things
00:53:57 I want to do in life is in this life
00:54:02 >> is to see him.
00:54:05 >> Yeah. Now I I will clarify something.
00:54:08 You can’t be in your sins.
00:54:10 >> Yeah.
00:54:11 >> Him without being destroyed. Okay.
00:54:14 >> Correct. That is
00:54:16 Go ahead.
00:54:16 >> That is one of the reasons why
00:54:20 in one of the instances in uh the Old
00:54:23 Testament, Mo Moshe is not allowed to
00:54:27 see the face of Elohim because at that
00:54:30 moment he has taken responsibility for
00:54:32 the sins of his household and he is in
00:54:36 that moment not allowed to see the face
00:54:38 of Elohim but is only allowed to see
00:54:40 him. Yes.
00:54:44 >> Yes. It wasn’t his personal sins. It was
00:54:46 the sins of those he was in charge of.
00:54:49 >> Yum. But regardless,
00:54:51 >> we’ll see how Yahweh actually is
00:54:54 responsible for the sins of those
00:54:55 underneath him. That’s why he gets to
00:54:57 pick if you’re in the kingdom or not.
00:55:00 >> Um him and him alone. Okay? No one else.
00:55:05 Uh not not some man. And that’s a whole
00:55:08 another subject dealing with
00:55:10 justification. So,
00:55:12 >> and sanctification, which we’re actually
00:55:14 further in the next verse. But yeah,
00:55:17 >> um but um
00:55:25 if you’re forgiven of your sins, you can
00:55:26 see Yahweh and not be destroyed. Okay.
00:55:29 >> Correct.
00:55:30 >> Um and that’s what’s happened here with
00:55:32 the nobles.
00:55:33 >> The nobles are the noble ones, the ones
00:55:37 that are seeking to be holy as Yahweh is
00:55:40 holy. Okay. Correct.
00:55:42 Okay.
00:55:44 Um, in verse 23, it states, “Now this
00:55:46 Moses plainly taught Oh, sorry. Yeah, we
00:55:49 should probably go back.”
00:55:52 >> Yeah. Now, this Moses plainly taught to
00:55:54 the children of Israel in the wilderness
00:55:57 and sought diligently
00:55:59 to sanctify his people that they might
00:56:02 behold the face of Elohim. He wanted
00:56:04 everyone.
00:56:06 >> I I want to go into the def into the
00:56:10 plainly Moses when it says that Moses
00:56:13 plainly taught to the children of
00:56:15 Israel. Plainly is a Hebrew idiom for um
00:56:18 the the Hebrew word for plain goes back
00:56:22 to Torah.
00:56:23 >> Yes. And and the reason why is because
00:56:28 the instructions or Torah is plain and
00:56:32 simple, easy to understand and do.
00:56:37 >> Yep.
00:56:38 >> Um that’s why the idiom plain or plainly
00:56:42 goes back to Torah because the
00:56:44 instructions from Yahw are set up so
00:56:48 plainly.
00:56:50 You can’t misunderstand unless you’re
00:56:52 seeking to understand because you have a
00:56:54 hard heart.
00:56:57 >> Yes.
00:56:58 >> Yes. Yes.
00:57:00 >> Yep. Um so
00:57:01 >> now sanctify
00:57:03 goes along with because there’s
00:57:05 justification which is
00:57:06 >> Let’s look it up in the Webster’s
00:57:08 dictionary.
00:57:08 >> Oh, okay. All right. I’ll go through
00:57:10 that.
00:57:27 Okay,
00:57:28 >> there you go. The very first definition
00:57:32 uh holds some relevance here in a
00:57:36 general sense to cleanse, purify or make
00:57:41 holy.
00:57:43 >> Yeah. So uh along this I justification
00:57:46 happens after you’re baptized if you did
00:57:49 it with a broken heart and contrite
00:57:51 spirit or which are attributes of a
00:57:54 person who wants to repent. Okay.
00:57:57 >> Which is actually returning to his ways.
00:57:59 Um
00:57:59 >> right
00:58:00 >> and throwing away the evil ways that you
00:58:03 or the sinful ways that you lived
00:58:05 before.
00:58:06 >> Yes. Um which actually goes with unleven
00:58:08 bread. Um
00:58:10 >> which happens after you accept the lamb.
00:58:13 because you consume a lot.
00:58:14 >> You see how this works? It’s all tied
00:58:16 together. It’s beautiful.
00:58:18 >> The high holidays actually do teach the
00:58:20 gospel and prophecy. It does both. But
00:58:23 anyways, um but when you’re justified,
00:58:26 you’re cleansed.
00:58:28 Okay? Uh that that is the starting point
00:58:32 of sanctification.
00:58:34 And then when you actually start be when
00:58:37 you actually become like him as in keep
00:58:39 his holy behavior to be holy like he is
00:58:44 or holy spirit.
00:58:46 >> Yes.
00:58:46 >> Another one of the definitions of spirit
00:58:49 is behavior. Yes. I’m saying the holy
00:58:52 spirit is Torah and I’ve shown that from
00:58:54 the New Testament. I can link it the
00:58:58 >> there’s actually
00:58:59 >> but anyways uh
00:59:00 >> there’s also scriptures within there’s
00:59:02 actually scriptures within the section
00:59:04 that we’re actually looking at which
00:59:06 also make that link for you.
00:59:08 >> Oh okay. So it’s all over the place.
00:59:10 When you have eyes to see you’ll see.
00:59:12 Um, but the purify means you’re pure
00:59:16 mean meaning you have no desire
00:59:20 to sin or break Torah anymore which
00:59:24 makes you holy.
00:59:26 >> Yes.
00:59:27 >> Now you’re acting as he would act
00:59:30 >> in every
00:59:31 >> and Yahweh will then sanctify you when
00:59:34 you get to that point when you want to
00:59:36 be that way.
00:59:36 >> Yeah.
00:59:38 not just partly on your favorite
00:59:40 commandments but all of them.
00:59:42 >> And so and and so what we see is
00:59:46 >> as we as we exercise the faith by
00:59:50 trusting in YH to keep his word and
00:59:54 trusting and diligent obedience to his
00:59:58 word. As we exercise that faith, then he
01:00:02 visits us in his in his mercy and grace
01:00:06 with the gifts of justification and
01:00:08 sanctification. They are truly gifts
01:00:12 from Yah.
01:00:14 >> Yes.
01:00:16 >> Yes, they are.
01:00:19 >> So, so most
01:00:20 >> Let me pause. Let me pause for one
01:00:22 second.
01:00:22 >> Yep.
01:00:27 So, as we were as we were talking a
01:00:29 little bit earlier about seeing uh
01:00:32 Yahweh face to face, um a good reference
01:00:36 for that is section 93 verse1.
01:00:40 We’ll go there.
01:00:42 Um, and that says, “Verily, thus saith
01:00:45 Yahweh, it shall come to pass, that
01:00:49 every soul, not just certain people, but
01:00:54 every soul who forsaketh his sins, and
01:00:58 cometh unto me, come under his covering,
01:01:00 and calleth on his on my name, and
01:01:03 obeyeth my voice, and keepeth my
01:01:06 commandments, shall see my face, and
01:01:11 know that I am. This is a promise you
01:01:15 can take to the bank. This is Yahweh
01:01:17 speaking directly to every human being.
01:01:21 >> Yeah. Now, I I do want to clarify one
01:01:24 little bit is in that he doesn’t say
01:01:28 when. It doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll
01:01:30 have it during mortality as a lot of
01:01:32 people push,
01:01:33 >> but um I if you’re enough like him, you
01:01:39 can see him see his face
01:01:43 all the time. You may not see his glory
01:01:46 and I’m talking about after the
01:01:48 resurrection here. Okay.
01:01:49 >> Right. Right.
01:01:50 >> But you can see his face. Okay.
01:01:53 Um, yes,
01:01:54 >> it it the second comforter, which I’ll
01:01:58 I’ll won’t get too much into unless Josh
01:02:00 wants me to.
01:02:01 >> Not really. Not necessarily.
01:02:04 >> Okay, I’ll just say it quick. Uh, is not
01:02:07 um seeing Yahweh’s face. It’s receiving
01:02:10 the promise that you shall have eternal
01:02:11 life or in other words, you’re
01:02:13 sanctified as to go tie it back into
01:02:15 something we were talking about
01:02:16 >> the the the well done, thy good and
01:02:18 faithful servant, right?
01:02:19 >> Yes.
01:02:19 >> Yeah.
01:02:20 >> Yeah. Okay. So, now we’re going to go
01:02:22 back to section 84. Okay.
01:02:25 >> Thank you, Zach, for bringing that out.
01:02:27 Appreciate it.
01:02:31 >> All right. So, we’re now we’ve been
01:02:32 talking about verse 23 in which
01:02:35 >> Oh, I moved for some reason.
01:02:39 >> Sorry about that.
01:02:40 >> Really moved.
01:02:41 >> Yeah. I don’t know what happened.
01:02:43 Anyways, okay.
01:02:44 >> He’s a mover and a shaker. That’s what
01:02:46 happened.
01:02:48 We were talking about how Moses s was
01:02:51 seeking diligently to sanctify his
01:02:53 people, right? Because he wanted them to
01:02:57 have the same experience that he had had
01:03:00 that the noble ones had had. And he
01:03:02 wanted that for everyone. He was
01:03:04 striving very hard to get the people
01:03:06 there. But guess what happened?
01:03:09 >> They didn’t want any part of that.
01:03:12 >> They didn’t want any part of it. Before
01:03:15 uh Moses went out onto the mount,
01:03:18 uh the people shunned from hearing
01:03:21 Yahweh’s voiced
01:03:24 the crap out of them. It scared them.
01:03:27 >> Yeah. It’s because they weren’t
01:03:29 prepared,
01:03:30 >> right?
01:03:33 >> Hence, they weren’t sanctified. And
01:03:35 Moses wanted all to have that. And I
01:03:39 don’t remember the timing on this. I I
01:03:41 think it was after he went up the mount.
01:03:44 Um
01:03:46 uh but Joshua before he was uh more
01:03:50 knowledgeable in Yah’s ways was
01:03:54 tattletelling to Moses that other people
01:03:56 were prophesying. And Moses said,
01:03:58 “Great. I want all everybody to do
01:04:01 that.”
01:04:02 >> Right. I I Yeah, exactly.
01:04:05 >> I mean, that’s not quite that’s not a
01:04:07 direct quote. Most what what he
01:04:09 literally says
01:04:11 >> what he literally says is would that all
01:04:13 Yah’s people were prophets.
01:04:16 >> Yes.
01:04:17 >> He’s like that’s what I want.
01:04:19 >> Are you jealous?
01:04:20 >> That’s what I want.
01:04:22 >> Yahosua son of Nun. Are you jealous for
01:04:25 my sake? Would to Elohim that all of his
01:04:29 people were prophets.
01:04:30 >> Yeah. Hence the sanctification here.
01:04:32 Okay.
01:04:33 >> Right. Right. Um
01:04:36 >> but because
01:04:37 >> to be so there there’s I would say
01:04:39 there’s multiple levels of prophets
01:04:41 because one that’s one level that’s
01:04:43 talked about in the book of revelations
01:04:45 is that you have a testimony that Yeshua
01:04:47 is the promised Messiah. Okay. Direct
01:04:50 quote but it’s basically what it’s
01:04:51 saying,
01:04:52 >> right? But then there’s here’s another
01:04:54 level or another type or
01:04:58 you got to have the that one that’s
01:05:00 talked about in Revelations before you
01:05:02 can have this one that Moses is talking
01:05:03 about which probably better way of
01:05:05 saying it
01:05:06 >> be able to foretell the future. Okay.
01:05:09 >> Oh
01:05:10 >> That’s what was going on with Moses is
01:05:12 people were fortelling the future
01:05:14 >> because they were prophesying.
01:05:17 >> So anyways,
01:05:19 >> Right. Right. Okay. I see what you’re
01:05:20 saying. Right. Right. Right. Yeah. Yeah,
01:05:22 >> it it’s anyways there’s there’s
01:05:25 different
01:05:26 levels of
01:05:28 >> but you have to be able in order to
01:05:31 exercise the in order to exercise the
01:05:36 deeper ability of being able to
01:05:38 accurately foretell the future from
01:05:41 Yahw’s perspective.
01:05:43 You first have to have the spirit of
01:05:46 prophecy or the testimony of Yeshua.
01:05:50 >> Yeah. It’s it’s not something
01:05:52 >> it’s all tied together. It’s all tied
01:05:54 together.
01:05:54 >> I I do want to bring out it’s not
01:05:56 something that you figure out on your
01:05:57 own. It’s something that Yahweh gives
01:05:58 you on foretelling the future because
01:06:01 >> right
01:06:02 >> that’s only something he can do as he
01:06:04 brings out in Isaiah. But
01:06:07 >> to his faithful, diligent, striving
01:06:10 servants he will give that to uh such
01:06:14 that other people can see that they’re
01:06:17 true servants of him because it will
01:06:19 come forth. Okay.
01:06:20 >> Right. Right. Right. So because the
01:06:24 children of Israel
01:06:26 rebelled basically and could not endure
01:06:29 his presence,
01:06:32 therefore Yahweh and his wrath, for his
01:06:34 anger was kindled against them, swore
01:06:36 that they should not enter into his rest
01:06:38 while in the wilderness, which rest is
01:06:40 the fullness of his glory,
01:06:42 sanctification.
01:06:43 >> Yeah.
01:06:46 >> And that’s that’s sad.
01:06:50 That’s one of the saddest scriptures
01:06:51 ever written.
01:06:55 Therefore, well, even sadder, therefore,
01:06:58 he took Moshe or Moses out of their
01:07:00 midst and the holy priesthood also, the
01:07:04 higher priesthood, the greater
01:07:05 priesthood
01:07:07 >> on mass. Okay.
01:07:08 >> On mass, right?
01:07:10 >> Because there’s a quote.
01:07:11 >> There have been people with it
01:07:12 throughout throughout the history. Yes.
01:07:16 >> Prophets. Go ahead, Ben. And it is at
01:07:19 this time that the that the preparatory
01:07:22 priesthood, the ironic priesthood is
01:07:25 limited to um
01:07:29 Aaron to the Levites.
01:07:32 >> Correct. which is what it
01:07:34 >> was after Mount Si when Moses came down
01:07:38 and you can know that was not the way
01:07:40 beforehand because even just if you go
01:07:42 actually read the account before that
01:07:45 all the firstborns of all the tribes had
01:07:48 the lower priesthood.
01:07:50 >> It’s after
01:07:52 uh Moses came down and their grave
01:07:56 sexual sins that they did there
01:07:59 >> in the worship of a false god. Right.
01:08:02 >> Yes. Both. It was spiritual and and
01:08:06 literal or physical.
01:08:07 >> Right. And physical. Yes. Mhm.
01:08:09 >> Um but the one the reason why the
01:08:12 Levites were the only ones that kept it
01:08:14 is because the Levites are the ones that
01:08:16 stood up with Moses right after the
01:08:20 fact. They repented faster than the rest
01:08:22 of everybody.
01:08:23 >> And he said tribes.
01:08:25 >> And he said, “Okay, they’re my people
01:08:27 right there. They’re they’re going to
01:08:29 have it.”
01:08:29 >> Yeah. And then also in I what is it?
01:08:33 Sorry. Isaiah 66 something.
01:08:36 No, no, that’s okay. So, I’ll just say
01:08:39 Isaiah 66 does bring out how the
01:08:43 Gentiles will have the ironic
01:08:44 priesthood.
01:08:45 >> I don’t remember the exact verse, but it
01:08:47 is.
01:08:48 >> I don’t either. I but I know what you’re
01:08:50 talking I know of which you speak. Yes.
01:08:52 >> Yeah. I mean, I can try to find it. Uh
01:08:54 >> and in first Peter chapter 2 uh Peter
01:08:58 refers to the Gentiles to whom he is
01:09:00 writing as a royal priesthood.
01:09:03 >> Yeah. Yeah. So here it is. 21 and the
01:09:05 them that’s talked about is the Gentiles
01:09:08 in the verses before in 19
01:09:11 >> and then as been stated in first Peter 2
01:09:16 actually shows second
01:09:20 >> I think it’s first Peter
01:09:23 >> or it might be first Peter chapter 2
01:09:27 >> it’s royal
01:09:29 yeah it’s
01:09:30 >> Yeah it is okay yeah
01:09:31 >> there it is okay um So there’s two
01:09:34 places that show it that and and the
01:09:38 situation that happened before Moses
01:09:40 went on the mount, more specifically
01:09:43 before he came down and saw all that
01:09:46 abominations and whoredoms. So anyways,
01:09:49 >> yeah,
01:09:49 >> I’ll leave it.
01:09:50 >> Now we get into in section 84
01:09:55 the le what what is the lesser
01:09:57 priesthood? What what does that do for
01:10:00 us?
01:10:01 Right?
01:10:03 So, let’s read about it. Uh, Stephen,
01:10:05 you want to read verse 20?
01:10:07 Ver,
01:10:08 >> do you mean um 26?
01:10:10 >> Sorry. Verse, sorry, verse 26. My eyes
01:10:12 are not uh great.
01:10:14 >> That’s fine.
01:10:15 >> Okay. And the lesser priesthood or which
01:10:17 is also known as the ironic priesthood,
01:10:20 which is the priesthood that holdeth the
01:10:22 key of the ministering of angels. Now,
01:10:26 angels is a loaded word.
01:10:29 >> Uh it means messengers. Okay. Um, you
01:10:32 got to take context into account, but in
01:10:34 this case, it’s messengers.
01:10:36 >> So, the ministering of angels is the
01:10:38 calling of repentance.
01:10:40 >> Yes, I was getting there. And the Book
01:10:41 of Mormon makes that clear that it is
01:10:43 >> and and verse 27 also makes it clear.
01:10:46 The very next verse.
01:10:47 >> Yes.
01:10:48 Which is also known what’s listed here
01:10:51 is the prepary gospel, which is
01:10:54 preparing you for the fullness of the
01:10:56 gospel. I I talk about that in my
01:10:59 Ezekiel 37 post. I’ll just leave it at
01:11:01 that unless Josh wants me to get into
01:11:03 it.
01:11:04 >> No,
01:11:06 >> the preparatory gospel is the gospel of
01:11:08 repentance
01:11:10 and of baptism. This is specifically
01:11:13 water baptism here. Okay.
01:11:14 >> Right.
01:11:15 >> The remission of sins.
01:11:17 >> I think Ben wants to say something.
01:11:18 >> Stephen has said this several times, but
01:11:21 the fullness of the gospel is
01:11:22 sanctification. The preparatory gospel
01:11:25 is justification. And so the the
01:11:28 preparatory gospel is also everything
01:11:30 that leads to justification
01:11:33 i.e. the repentance the baptism by
01:11:35 immersion for the remission of sins
01:11:38 um and and the exercising of faith.
01:11:43 >> Yes. And the repentance even after
01:11:45 you’re uh baptized to prepare you for
01:11:49 sanctification.
01:11:50 >> Right. Mhm.
01:11:51 >> Um, so, uh, let’s see. And okay, the
01:11:56 repentance and of water baptism
01:11:59 >> and the remission of sins. You receive
01:12:02 the remission of your sins, uh, the
01:12:04 first time when you’re justified
01:12:07 >> or mercy.
01:12:08 >> Yes.
01:12:09 >> Or baptism of fire
01:12:12 >> or
01:12:13 I can’t think of another one right now.
01:12:15 Um, received into the kingdom. Okay.
01:12:18 >> Right. Mhm.
01:12:20 >> Um and the law of carnal commandments.
01:12:23 Now the law of carnal commandments is
01:12:25 another way of saying the law of Moses.
01:12:28 Now um I will just
01:12:32 it’s called the law or punish. So let’s
01:12:35 talk about a little bit uh lawyer judge
01:12:37 speak here. When a punishment is
01:12:41 pronounced it becomes law to the person
01:12:44 or people or group.
01:12:48 is uh enacted onto which then is now law
01:12:52 for them. Okay.
01:12:53 >> Right.
01:12:54 >> Now the carnal is because they received
01:12:57 it because of the carnalish
01:13:00 sexual sins carnal that they were
01:13:03 committing at the time when Moses came
01:13:06 down. Now, some translations don’t make
01:13:09 it very obvious, but if you go to my
01:13:12 favorite tool, Bible hub, and go look at
01:13:14 inner linear, it’s very obvious
01:13:17 that they were doing a lot of sexual
01:13:20 carnal sins there. Hence, the law of
01:13:23 sexual commandments or carnal because
01:13:25 that’s when they received it or the
01:13:28 reason why they received it because that
01:13:30 carnal that they were doing. Yes,
01:13:33 >> it’s uh there there are uh there are
01:13:37 many pagan festivals that uh that are
01:13:40 centered around the uh which is centered
01:13:42 around the summer equinox which is some
01:13:45 which sometimes coincides with um uh
01:13:48 shabalt
01:13:50 >> or Pentecost
01:13:51 >> or Pentecost
01:13:53 >> and they it’s it seems that they were
01:13:56 likely to be doing some of those.
01:13:59 >> Yeah. Well, whatever ex specifics, we
01:14:03 don’t know a whole bunch. We know they
01:14:04 were doing naughty stuff.
01:14:07 >> Naughty stuff. Yeah.
01:14:08 >> Yes.
01:14:09 >> On on physical and spiritual level
01:14:14 because they were worshiping a bull and
01:14:16 saying that bull which represented Satan
01:14:19 saved them instead of Yahweh. So that
01:14:21 they were doing it on both levels. But
01:14:23 anyways, but because of that they got
01:14:26 these various punishments. the one we
01:14:29 just talked about the
01:14:30 >> which became the rich.
01:14:32 >> Yep.
01:14:33 >> The priesthood only being to some to the
01:14:36 Levitical tribe or the ironic lesser
01:14:38 priesthood was only to them. Okay.
01:14:42 >> The higher anybody could get as we saw
01:14:44 uh as we talked about such as Saul. He
01:14:47 was Benjamin and he could do the Levite
01:14:50 or ironic offerings. But that’s because
01:14:53 the Levitical or ironic or lesser uh can
01:14:59 is a subset of the higher and the higher
01:15:01 can do the subset when
01:15:03 >> right
01:15:03 >> and as we read earlier tonight the the
01:15:06 the higher priesthood
01:15:09 uh can do everything.
01:15:11 >> Yes.
01:15:11 >> Within the within the church
01:15:14 >> because
01:15:16 it is the all-encompassing power of LLP.
01:15:19 But and that’s where the erotic person
01:15:22 actually kind of gets their power and
01:15:24 authority from. So anyways,
01:15:26 >> uh yes, they derive their power and
01:15:27 authority from that. Yes.
01:15:29 >> Yeah. Yeah. So it’d be funny that where
01:15:31 they derive from it can’t do it because
01:15:33 then how could they be deriving it from
01:15:34 there?
01:15:36 >> Exactly. Yes. Um but anyways um
01:15:40 >> which Yahweh in his wrath which is
01:15:44 another word for anger
01:15:47 >> caused to continue with the house of
01:15:49 Aaron Levi right Aaron Levi
01:15:53 >> uh among the children of Israel. So the
01:15:56 house of Israel and the converts
01:15:58 >> until John the Baptist now until
01:16:01 >> because it went a little further than
01:16:04 John the Baptist. It went until Yeshua’s
01:16:07 death and Yeshua died after John the
01:16:10 baptism a few.
01:16:12 >> So is that or is that not saying that
01:16:15 that the that the fact that it continued
01:16:18 with Levi and his descendants only that
01:16:22 that was part of the wrath?
01:16:26 >> Yes, it was part of the wrath.
01:16:27 >> It was part of the wrath. Yes.
01:16:29 Oh, and so this until is actually when
01:16:33 you go look at the dictionary
01:16:36 uh can mean through. So right anyways
01:16:40 until is an interesting word a lot of
01:16:43 words
01:16:43 >> and John was a
01:16:47 preparer.
01:16:48 >> Yes. Uh he was also a Levite also.
01:16:52 >> Yes.
01:16:52 >> Um
01:16:53 >> yes.
01:16:53 >> So there’s multiple aspects there. whom
01:16:56 Elohim raised up that John the Baptist
01:17:00 being filled with the Holy Spirit ghost
01:17:03 it’s the same thing I and I have a post
01:17:05 about this how it’s just how ghost and
01:17:08 spirit are translated from the same
01:17:10 Greek word in the New Testament it’s
01:17:12 just a personal preference I prefer
01:17:14 spirit
01:17:15 >> right
01:17:17 >> so both are valid anyways which is
01:17:19 actually Torah and and we’ve kind of
01:17:22 talked about a little bit here already
01:17:24 from his mother’s womb
01:17:26 So um this is just bringing out how
01:17:31 John the Baptist
01:17:34 from he was from his birth was the
01:17:36 second most righteous person because
01:17:39 Yeshua was number one because he never
01:17:42 sinned. John did sin and that’s clear in
01:17:45 the New Testament. For example, not
01:17:47 having
01:17:50 um what’s the actual phrase? something
01:17:52 along the lines. I I should not even be
01:17:56 loosening the
01:17:57 >> I shouldn’t be unlatching your shoe.
01:17:59 Yeah.
01:17:59 >> Your your sandals. And that has to do
01:18:01 with authority. And he felt that way
01:18:03 because this goes back to Ruth. It has
01:18:05 to do with authority. And he felt that
01:18:07 way because he was sinned. Okay. Anyway,
01:18:11 >> um cuz authority,
01:18:14 the more you become like Yeshua, the
01:18:16 more authority you will actually get.
01:18:18 >> Yep. And John felt his
01:18:23 sins on his shoulders.
01:18:27 >> He felt them. He felt them very keenly.
01:18:29 >> Yes. Just as Nephi did in second three.
01:18:33 >> Yep. Yep.
01:18:34 >> Um so anyways, uh from his mother’s
01:18:38 womb. So he Joan was quite a guy. Okay.
01:18:42 He
01:18:42 >> Yeah. He was very very he was he was a
01:18:45 very striving guy. Yes.
01:18:47 >> Yes. Yes.
01:18:49 He’s like a Moses. Uh as what Josh is
01:18:52 bringing out with preparer.
01:18:54 >> Yep.
01:18:55 >> There’s others there. I can leave my
01:18:58 resource page on that because that’s a
01:18:59 side subject.
01:19:01 >> And like and I would I would also say
01:19:04 that like Moses, he
01:19:06 >> it is stated in the Old Testament that
01:19:08 Moses was the meakest of men.
01:19:11 >> And so and I would say that John the
01:19:13 Baptist was much the same way.
01:19:16 >> Yes. Um,
01:19:18 in fact, uh, Yeshua in the New Testament
01:19:20 said he was the greatest prophet. So, I
01:19:23 up to that point, I do believe John the
01:19:26 Baptist was the greatest prophet save
01:19:28 Yeshua, uh, including Moses. Um
01:19:33 but in righteousness now Moses and John
01:19:38 had their unique purposes and callings
01:19:44 >> because everybody still remembers the
01:19:45 Exodus and talks about that quite a bit.
01:19:49 There’s a lot of miracles there. So they
01:19:51 they
01:19:53 >> Anyways, um well it talks about
01:19:55 nitty-gritty details
01:19:56 >> in verse 28.
01:19:59 It talks about John’s mission, what he
01:20:02 was supposed to do.
01:20:04 >> All right. So,
01:20:06 Ben, you wanna you want to read that
01:20:07 one? 28.
01:20:08 >> Yeah.
01:20:10 >> Let’s see here.
01:20:12 >> For he was baptized while he was yet in
01:20:14 his childhood. That would be Greek 7,
01:20:17 Hebrew 8.
01:20:18 >> No. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that’s right. Greek.
01:20:21 and was ordained by the angel of Elohim
01:20:25 at the time he was 8 days old onto this
01:20:28 power
01:20:32 just so people aware PE uh Hebrews and
01:20:34 Greeks count
01:20:36 differently
01:20:38 >> yes
01:20:38 >> okay uh
01:20:40 >> I should probably I think it’s probably
01:20:42 better to say exclusive seven inclusive
01:20:46 eight
01:20:47 >> uh sure I and that’s fine either Okay.
01:20:51 Meaning inclusive means when you start
01:20:54 your first year, that’s one. Exclusive
01:20:58 means you only count one when you become
01:21:01 a full one. Okay?
01:21:04 >> Right?
01:21:04 >> Um and then also I the angel of Elohim
01:21:10 and so this is so the angel of Yahweh is
01:21:12 Yahweh but the angel of Elohim here you
01:21:15 have to take context in account. This is
01:21:17 the coming mighty and strong one here.
01:21:19 Okay.
01:21:21 And
01:21:25 anyways, we we are told that it was the
01:21:28 mighty strong one in DC 27 that it was
01:21:31 the mighty strong one that came to John
01:21:34 the Baptist’s father.
01:21:37 >> Right.
01:21:38 >> Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep.
01:21:39 >> Zechariah
01:21:41 >> ordain ordained by the angel of Elohim
01:21:44 at the time he was 8 days old unto this
01:21:47 power. And he’s about to tell you what
01:21:49 he was ordained to
01:21:51 >> to overthrow the kingdom of the Jews.
01:21:54 >> Okay.
01:21:56 >> This is not to overthrow
01:21:58 the law of Yah. It is to overthrow the
01:22:02 kingdom of the Jews and to make straight
01:22:05 the way of Yah to make straight the way
01:22:09 of Yahw. There is nothing about there is
01:22:13 nothing about the destruction of the way
01:22:15 here
01:22:16 >> right here in the kingdom of the Jews.
01:22:19 It’s
01:22:21 the false traditions and their kingdom
01:22:23 that they build up. Not the kingdom of
01:22:25 Elohim or Yahweh. It’s the kingdom of
01:22:28 men.
01:22:30 >> Yeah. Yeah. So, you know, men have a
01:22:34 tendency to take the truth that Yik
01:22:36 gives them and to make their own kingdom
01:22:38 with it.
01:22:40 Yeah. And that’s what the Jews did. And
01:22:42 that’s partly why they hated Yeshua and
01:22:45 plotted to murder him because they hated
01:22:49 what he was teaching because they were
01:22:51 not of him. As he stated, he said
01:22:54 >> they actually he actually stated they
01:22:56 were children of Satan, which means
01:22:58 followers of Satan. And that’s also why
01:23:00 they hated John because he told them
01:23:04 that they were a brood of vipers and
01:23:07 that they needed to uh that they needed
01:23:09 to repent
01:23:11 um and turn to Yeshua and turn to the
01:23:14 way
01:23:15 >> and snakes is symbolic of enemies in the
01:23:18 scriptures. Wisdom and enemies because
01:23:20 every
01:23:22 most symbols have multiple meanings to
01:23:25 them. So you have to take context into
01:23:27 account. But John was stating they were
01:23:30 enemies. Okay.
01:23:32 >> Okay. So the very So this making
01:23:35 straight the way of Yoh before the face
01:23:37 of his people is actually synonymous
01:23:40 with overthrowing the kingdom of the
01:23:41 Jews
01:23:43 >> as in uh because he’s
01:23:45 >> getting rid of the false traditions and
01:23:47 the false teachings. Yes.
01:23:49 >> Yeah. In Mark 7 is one place off the top
01:23:53 of my head. He says out there are false
01:23:55 traditions make Torah God’s
01:23:57 >> null and void.
01:23:58 >> Null and void. Okay.
01:24:00 >> Correct.
01:24:02 >> To prepare.
01:24:03 >> But there’s more. But there’s more.
01:24:05 >> Right.
01:24:06 >> Yes. I’ I’d like to get to that. To
01:24:09 prepare them for the coming of Yah. In
01:24:12 whose hand is given all power in whose
01:24:15 hand? To prepare them for the coming of
01:24:17 Yah. And so this is one of those things.
01:24:21 This is one of those nice little gems
01:24:23 here that kind of lets us know who
01:24:26 Yeshua was that he was yok come in the
01:24:29 flesh.
01:24:30 >> Yes, this is teaching modalism meaning
01:24:33 that the one soul had two modes as a
01:24:38 father and of the son. And so he and so
01:24:42 this is John the Baptist sent to prepare
01:24:45 the way before the Messiah who is
01:24:50 Elohim.
01:24:53 >> Yes.
01:24:54 >> In the flesh
01:24:55 >> in whose hand is given all power.
01:25:00 Now if you uh go through Isaiah that’s
01:25:05 he doesn’t share all his power. So
01:25:08 >> no. So with that in mind, it does tell
01:25:12 us who this is fully modalism. Okay.
01:25:15 >> Yeah.
01:25:17 >> Uh meaning one soul, two modes, one of
01:25:21 the father and one of the son.
01:25:23 >> Yep.
01:25:25 >> Yep. All right.
01:25:29 And moving on.
01:25:31 >> And again, the
01:25:33 >> Yeah. Go ahead. And again the offices of
01:25:35 elder and bishop are necessary
01:25:37 appendages belonging to onto the high
01:25:39 priesthood.
01:25:40 >> They’re appendages.
01:25:42 >> Yeah. One thing I do want to bring out
01:25:43 how office of elder
01:25:47 and not priesthood of elder.
01:25:51 >> So this goes against the at least the
01:25:55 eldest bergamite church. I don’t and its
01:25:58 breakoffs. I’m not quite sure about the
01:26:00 Josephite breakoffs, but I I know they
01:26:03 do other things wrong if not this. But
01:26:06 office of elder, not priesthood of
01:26:09 elder,
01:26:10 >> right?
01:26:11 >> An elder is an office. Wait a minute.
01:26:15 Right there within the high priesthood
01:26:18 >> as his bishop. Yes.
01:26:20 >> As his bishop.
01:26:22 >> Unless you’re a
01:26:23 >> Unless you’re Unless you’re a descendant
01:26:25 of Levi.
01:26:26 >> Yeah. which probably gets into here or
01:26:28 somewhere else. I can’t remember where
01:26:30 everything’s at, but
01:26:32 unless you’re a Levite,
01:26:35 >> right? And again, the offices of teacher
01:26:38 and deacon are necessary appendages
01:26:40 belonging to the lesser priesthood.
01:26:41 Which priesthood was confirmed upon
01:26:43 Aaron and his sons?
01:26:46 Same thing. Same same. There’s
01:26:47 appendages. There’s offices within both
01:26:50 of those priesthoods that are considered
01:26:53 necessary
01:26:55 to carry out the work that each of them
01:26:57 has to do.
01:26:59 >> Yeah. And that is to minister to the
01:27:03 believers. Right.
01:27:04 >> Correct. Especially for the teachers and
01:27:06 deacons. Yes.
01:27:07 >> Yeah.
01:27:10 >> Therefore, as I said concerning the sons
01:27:12 of Moses, for the sons of Moses and also
01:27:14 the sons of Aaron, and oh, by the way,
01:27:16 Moses was a Levite. and so were his
01:27:19 sons. Um, and also the sons of Aaron
01:27:22 shall offer an acceptable offering and
01:27:24 sacrifice in the house of Yahwa, which
01:27:27 shall be built unto the Lord in this
01:27:29 generation upon the consecrated spot I
01:27:32 have appointed. Generation, the word
01:27:34 generation uh is a loaded term. Uh now
01:27:39 this generation often times when a
01:27:42 prophecy is given for this generation it
01:27:44 means a particular generation of of the
01:27:50 >> prophetic of the prophetic pattern of
01:27:53 the messenger
01:27:55 >> preparer
01:27:57 >> redeemer.
01:27:59 >> And so that is a gener that in in every
01:28:03 instance that is a generation.
01:28:06 But yes, and you’ll see this in other
01:28:08 places. We’re not just making this up.
01:28:10 And you can get this from the dictionary
01:28:13 definition also, but the generation is
01:28:17 not necessarily
01:28:20 from
01:28:21 one adult to one child. Okay.
01:28:25 >> Um, and depending on context, it can
01:28:29 have different meanings because
01:28:30 sometimes it can mean a jubilee, 50
01:28:32 years. So you got it. It’s a tricky word
01:28:37 in this one. Um, so I will say there’s a
01:28:41 difference between Torah, which is to be
01:28:44 plain, and prophecy, which is mystery.
01:28:48 Okay.
01:28:48 >> Right. Yeah.
01:28:50 >> So Yahweh does give both.
01:28:53 And um
01:28:57 prophecy
01:28:58 is given to get people to look forward
01:29:00 to things, but the closer you get to
01:29:04 Yahweh keeping the plain that’s simple
01:29:08 to understand, the
01:29:11 better you’ll come to understand the
01:29:13 mysteries or the harder portions. Okay.
01:29:16 >> Or or that which people think is harder.
01:29:20 Yes.
01:29:20 >> Yes. And now one thing I if I if Ben’s
01:29:23 done I want to say a little bit more
01:29:24 about 31.
01:29:26 >> Sure.
01:29:27 >> Okay. Uh so the sons is symbolic of
01:29:31 followers. Okay.
01:29:32 >> Yes. Yeah.
01:29:34 >> Now I do believe this is bring out the
01:29:36 sons of Moses as the sons of the high
01:29:38 priesthood and the sons of Aaron are the
01:29:41 sons of the lower priesthood.
01:29:44 >> Okay.
01:29:44 >> Uh
01:29:46 such that and you’ll see this in the
01:29:48 Mcabes for one example. I forget the
01:29:50 chapters, but it’s in my important
01:29:52 coming dates where it is because I talk
01:29:55 about it. But the higher priesthood is
01:29:58 needed to bring back the animal
01:30:00 sacrifices,
01:30:02 >> right?
01:30:03 >> Which would go along how you need both
01:30:06 here, the high priesthood, the low
01:30:09 priesthood. Okay.
01:30:10 >> Yep.
01:30:10 >> Yeah. Well, and this actually points to
01:30:13 shall off this offer an acceptable
01:30:15 offering points you all the way back to
01:30:18 Cain and Abel.
01:30:20 >> Yeah.
01:30:21 >> And Abel offered the ex offered the
01:30:24 acceptable offering because it was what
01:30:26 Yah had asked for
01:30:28 >> at that time because it was Passover,
01:30:31 >> right?
01:30:33 >> It was supposed to be a lamb
01:30:35 >> animal offering before Moses. Yep.
01:30:43 >> Yes.
01:30:46 >> Anyways, yes, it does go back to their
01:30:48 uh Cain and Abel and how Abel actually
01:30:51 did an animal offering which they these
01:30:56 sons followers will be offering once
01:30:58 again.
01:31:00 >> Yes. And that actually further is
01:31:04 testified of in verse 32.
01:31:06 >> Oh, well imagine that. So, I’m glad one
01:31:09 of the scriptures confirm me.
01:31:10 >> Yeah. Sorry.
01:31:12 >> So, yeah. And the sons or followers of
01:31:14 Moses and of Aaron and the followers of
01:31:17 Aaron shall be filled with the glory of
01:31:20 Yahweh upon Mount Zion and the Lord’s
01:31:22 house whose father sons are ye.
01:31:25 >> Yeah. Now, this house is temple in this
01:31:28 case. It does
01:31:29 >> uh
01:31:31 context and knowing other prophecies is
01:31:34 helpful. Okay. When when you’re dealing
01:31:36 with prophecy, it’s helpful to know
01:31:39 other what other instances
01:31:43 of the same thing are how that’s talked
01:31:45 about. Right
01:31:46 >> now, not every time that it says the
01:31:48 Lord’s house is it referring to temple,
01:31:50 but in this instance it is.
01:31:51 >> Yeah. Sometimes house is people. So,
01:31:54 right or the or nation or
01:31:57 >> or nation. Yeah. So, you do need
01:32:00 contacts. Mhm.
01:32:02 >> Um and upon mount Zion. So, and we know
01:32:07 that the temple will be built there.
01:32:10 >> Yes. And and Zion is a city, but the
01:32:13 mount has is more temples
01:32:16 >> as has the temple. Yeah.
01:32:18 >> Yeah. It just
01:32:22 there’s context what’s going here and
01:32:24 then also knowing additional prophecy
01:32:26 that helps understand. So, right leave
01:32:28 it that. But I think it’s interesting it
01:32:31 says whose sons or followers are ye.
01:32:33 Whose sons and followers are ye?
01:32:36 >> Uh Moses and Aaron
01:32:39 or
01:32:40 >> because they’re they’ve got the some
01:32:42 have the high priesthood and some have
01:32:44 the
01:32:44 >> have the lower priesthood. Correct. And
01:32:46 also many whom I have called and sent
01:32:48 forth to build up my church. Now church
01:32:51 interesting word there. There are but
01:32:54 two churches.
01:32:58 uh
01:32:59 >> in the world. The church the church of
01:33:03 the firstborn or or Yeshua
01:33:06 and the church of the devil.
01:33:10 >> And anybody else who claims any
01:33:13 different is probably of the church of
01:33:15 the devil. But anyways, um
01:33:16 >> well, or they’re confused
01:33:19 >> or they don’t understand
01:33:20 >> or they’re confused because we go to the
01:33:22 parable of the ser and there’s uh true
01:33:26 >> people in the kingdom um actually the
01:33:29 three groups that aren’t heeding
01:33:33 completely to the word. So, they’re
01:33:34 confused. Okay.
01:33:35 >> Yes. Yes. That’s
01:33:39 they might they may not know better.
01:33:41 Correct.
01:33:42 >> Right. And I will say just because you
01:33:46 can’t know what kingdom you’re in by
01:33:47 what building you go to when you think
01:33:49 you’re supposed to be worshiping because
01:33:51 right
01:33:51 >> Satan swed tears among the wheat. Okay.
01:33:55 >> And that is also true. Yep.
01:33:57 >> By what building you go to.
01:33:59 >> Yep. That is also true.
01:34:02 >> All right. And these next several verses
01:34:05 get into what the oath and covenant of
01:34:09 the priesthood is. And it’s absolutely
01:34:12 awesome. Um,
01:34:14 >> by the way,
01:34:16 you’ve already been you’ve already been
01:34:18 introduced to it when you were baptized.
01:34:21 >> Oh, yeah.
01:34:23 >> Yeah.
01:34:23 >> Hey, Josh.
01:34:24 >> Yeah.
01:34:25 >> I’d be happy to read if you want me to.
01:34:28 >> Sure.
01:34:29 >> Which
01:34:30 >> we’ll start in uh 33.
01:34:32 >> 33. Okay. Mhm.
01:34:35 >> For who so is faithful unto the
01:34:37 obtaining these two priesthoods of which
01:34:39 I have spoken and the magnifying their
01:34:42 calling are sanctified by the spirit
01:34:44 unto the renewing of their bodies.
01:34:48 >> They become
01:34:49 >> so this is a this is a promise that’s
01:34:52 much like the
01:34:54 I I see this promise being much like the
01:34:56 promise that’s given
01:34:59 for the word of wisdom. You shall run
01:35:00 and not be weary. you shall walk and not
01:35:02 faint. Um
01:35:05 and you’ll rise up um on wings as
01:35:09 eagles.
01:35:11 >> Mhm.
01:35:12 >> Yeah. So on these callings, you can get
01:35:14 a calling directly from Yahweh or you
01:35:17 can get a calling from the church by
01:35:19 boat. Okay.
01:35:21 >> Yeah. Now on either way, if you magnify
01:35:24 it,
01:35:25 uh you’ll become sanctified because to
01:35:28 magnify your calling, you have to keep
01:35:30 Torah. Okay.
01:35:31 >> Yes.
01:35:32 >> Yes.
01:35:33 >> Sanctification by the behavior,
01:35:36 >> right?
01:35:37 >> Oh yeah. I sorry spirit but spirit and
01:35:40 behavior.
01:35:41 >> And also what happens though is when you
01:35:44 do that your renewing of your body is
01:35:47 you have more energy.
01:35:49 >> Yeah. And you have clearer thinking.
01:35:51 >> Yes.
01:35:53 >> All right. Uh, go ahead, Andrew. Keep
01:35:56 going.
01:35:57 >> Okay. They become the sons of Moses and
01:36:00 of Aaron and the seed.
01:36:03 >> Yep. And the seed of Abraham and the
01:36:05 church and kingdom and the elect of God
01:36:08 or of Yahweh. Elohim. Sorry.
01:36:11 >> There you go.
01:36:12 >> You got it.
01:36:13 >> So here they’re using different images
01:36:15 to talk about the same people. So, is it
01:36:18 literal or figurative?
01:36:21 >> Could be both depending on your lineage.
01:36:24 >> I was going to say yes,
01:36:26 >> but the most important one is
01:36:29 figurative.
01:36:31 >> Okay. How uh
01:36:35 how many people are going to be say are
01:36:37 going to become sanctified by an
01:36:39 accident of birth?
01:36:42 >> Yeah. No.
01:36:42 >> Uh accident of birth. Well, considering
01:36:45 so
01:36:47 getting on. But I will say one thing
01:36:48 real quick. Yahweh decides when people
01:36:51 are born and where. So it’s not an
01:36:53 accident. But I do know by convenience
01:36:57 is not that.
01:36:58 >> Yeah.
01:36:59 >> He’s just he’s bringing out how
01:37:03 how the Jews in the New Testament
01:37:05 thought they were saved because they
01:37:06 were literal descendants of Abraham. And
01:37:09 that’s not how you get it. I do know
01:37:11 that’s been Ben’s referring to. So,
01:37:14 >> right,
01:37:15 >> bringing out what he’s actually saying.
01:37:17 >> And and and here’s a word here’s a word
01:37:20 that proves that right. Become.
01:37:24 >> They become.
01:37:27 >> That doesn’t mean they were born that
01:37:29 way. It means they work
01:37:32 and they become.
01:37:36 Yes. Um
01:37:39 so on this issue this goes against uh uh
01:37:42 LDS brigamite teaching that we are born
01:37:46 sons of el and daughters of Elohim. No
01:37:50 you become and you’ll see that in the
01:37:52 book of the DNC in the new testament you
01:37:55 become
01:37:55 >> you also yeah you see it in John chapter
01:37:57 one where it says as many as believed on
01:38:00 him he gave the power to become sons of
01:38:04 Elohim.
01:38:05 >> Yes. So uh first you believe on him and
01:38:10 then you can become there’s nothing
01:38:12 about where how elasites push it. In
01:38:16 fact Abraham 3 actually teaches against
01:38:18 that where they’re uh intelligent souls
01:38:22 and spirits which are three different
01:38:24 words for the same thing. No son or
01:38:28 daughter
01:38:29 >> right?
01:38:32 All right, let let’s let’s move on and
01:38:35 let’s let’s get through
01:38:38 uh
01:38:40 let’s get through 40 before we break
01:38:42 again. Okay.
01:38:44 >> Okay.
01:38:45 >> Okay.
01:38:46 >> So, we we finished 34, right?
01:38:49 >> Four. Yes.
01:38:51 >> And also all they who receive this
01:38:54 priesthood receive me, saith Yahweh.
01:38:58 For he that receiveth my servants
01:39:00 receiveth me, and he that receiveth me
01:39:03 receiveth my father, and he that
01:39:05 receiveth my father receiveth my
01:39:06 father’s kingdom. Therefore, all that my
01:39:09 father hath shall be given unto him. And
01:39:12 this is according to the oath and
01:39:14 covenant which belongth to the
01:39:16 priesthood. Therefore, all those who
01:39:18 receive the priesthood receive this oath
01:39:20 and covenant of my father, which he
01:39:23 cannot break, neither can it be moved.
01:39:26 H.
01:39:27 >> So can can I say something for 36? For
01:39:30 he that receiveth Oh, wait. No. Uh,
01:39:34 >> we’re going to say
01:39:35 >> who receiveth the priesthood. So 35. And
01:39:37 also who received this priesthood. This
01:39:39 is talking about the high priesthood.
01:39:42 >> Yep. Yeah.
01:39:42 >> So this is specifically a men thing
01:39:44 here. Um, now women can be deacons in
01:39:48 the ironic priesthood. I Josh probably
01:39:50 doesn’t want to get into that. I’ll
01:39:52 leave my church. But it is but it there
01:39:54 are scriptures and and even in the New
01:39:56 Testament.
01:39:57 >> Yeah. Yeah. And the DNC
01:39:59 >> back this up. Yes.
01:40:00 >> Uh I I’ll leave the church government
01:40:02 page. But on for speak referring to men
01:40:05 those who receive the high priesthood
01:40:07 receive me is telling them that you will
01:40:11 see Yahweh’s face as in you’ll at
01:40:14 minimum be
01:40:16 turstral glory here. Okay.
01:40:19 >> Yep.
01:40:20 >> Now just for people are aware. Yes,
01:40:22 there’s different glories. You see it in
01:40:24 the parable of the swer.
01:40:26 >> Yes.
01:40:27 >> Uh you can also see it on sermon on
01:40:29 Torah, which most people call sermon on
01:40:30 the mount, the good
01:40:32 >> greater and lesser. Even there, uh I’ll
01:40:35 leave a link to a recording that we I go
01:40:39 over lots of things in the Bible, uh
01:40:42 including the garden and Noah’s ark and
01:40:44 other things and the tabernacle that
01:40:48 show this. Okay, it’s all but also the
01:40:51 Mark
01:40:53 uh edition of I think it’s the Mark one.
01:40:56 I have to double check of the parable of
01:40:58 shower says if you don’t understand
01:41:00 this, you don’t understand anything.
01:41:02 Showing how this is integral everywhere.
01:41:05 Okay.
01:41:06 >> Yeah.
01:41:06 >> Everywhere.
01:41:08 >> I mean, you know, it’s
01:41:11 it’s just uh
01:41:14 >> Yeah. It’s it’s just one of those things
01:41:17 that’s actually manifestly self-evident
01:41:21 that we
01:41:23 that we’re not equal for the simple
01:41:25 reason that we don’t make the same
01:41:27 choices,
01:41:28 >> right?
01:41:29 >> Yeah. I mean, go go in the world.
01:41:32 Everybody will complain when they uh or
01:41:35 people are acting lesser. Right. So,
01:41:38 >> yeah,
01:41:39 >> keeping Torah less than they are. Um
01:41:42 >> Right.
01:41:42 >> Or at least towards them.
01:41:44 >> Yeah. Look at that. Look at that girl.
01:41:47 >> Yeah.
01:41:48 >> But the main thing I want to bring out
01:41:49 in 35, who received this priesthood
01:41:52 received me. This is bringing out those
01:41:55 who receive the higher priesthood. The
01:41:58 mazes priesthood is done through his
01:42:00 voice.
01:42:02 >> Not because some man laid his hands upon
01:42:04 you.
01:42:06 >> Offices are done that way. The
01:42:07 priesthood,
01:42:09 >> no. on the high priest. The lower
01:42:12 priesthood, yes, is by laying of hands.
01:42:14 They’re they’re done differently.
01:42:16 >> Now,
01:42:18 I’m sorry, Josh, I keep sidetracking,
01:42:20 but the reason the high priest is done
01:42:21 by Yah’s own voice because they are
01:42:23 supposed to be Yah’s voice. The reason
01:42:25 the ironic priesthood is done by laying
01:42:27 on hands because they are to be the
01:42:29 hands. If you go look at their duties,
01:42:32 >> uh it goes along with that. Okay. But
01:42:34 anyways,
01:42:36 >> and and just to go on just to piggyback
01:42:38 on top of that. Sorry.
01:42:40 >> No, that’s fine, man.
01:42:42 >> Um,
01:42:44 this is why
01:42:47 so many times in Isaiah you read these
01:42:50 this combination of words
01:42:53 that the wrath of that the wrath of Yah
01:42:58 that the wrath of Yah is present towards
01:43:00 his people, but his hand is stretched
01:43:02 out still.
01:43:06 The hand is the ironic priesthood.
01:43:09 >> Yeah. The ironic priest even with all
01:43:12 the apostasies in the Old Testament.
01:43:14 >> And so and so we have from the prophets
01:43:18 this knowledge that the ironic
01:43:21 priesthood persists
01:43:24 even in times of wrath
01:43:27 >> and judgment
01:43:28 >> which we have been in since. We’ve been
01:43:32 in a period of wrath and judgment since
01:43:35 really uh the first century CE. Um
01:43:41 >> yeah,
01:43:42 >> give or take. Yeah,
01:43:43 >> there was a period there was a period of
01:43:46 restoration.
01:43:47 Uh so and
01:43:48 >> but then it fell into apostasy quite
01:43:50 quickly
01:43:52 >> that didn’t last too long
01:43:54 >> and I do think that this was preparatory
01:43:56 to the work that will happen at the end.
01:43:59 >> Yes. uh
01:44:02 which which is why not all of the gospel
01:44:05 was restored because it was a kind of a
01:44:08 preparatory restoration. We now have the
01:44:10 information available to us to complete
01:44:13 the work.
01:44:14 >> Yeah. So first Nephi 13 Ben I forget the
01:44:21 >> brings
01:44:22 Joseph Smith restored much not all but
01:44:26 back to this ironic priesthood. Uh
01:44:28 there’s lot everybody knows there’s
01:44:30 apostasies in the Old Testament and
01:44:32 there was no need of restoration of the
01:44:34 ironic priesthood. Also
01:44:36 >> yes
01:44:37 >> uh I forget which CC section but John I
01:44:40 think it was John the Baptist stated to
01:44:42 Joseph Smith myth that the ironic
01:44:44 priesthood won’t be taken away from the
01:44:47 and I’m going to clarify some here the
01:44:49 world in whole until the animal
01:44:53 sacrifice is given. Okay.
01:44:55 >> Right.
01:44:56 >> Then it will be taking away her whole.
01:44:59 Um, which kind of goes along with what
01:45:02 we read about with John the Baptist
01:45:04 earlier wrestling away the kingdom. But
01:45:06 anyways, that’s a whole
01:45:10 >> another big side subject. We won’t I
01:45:12 won’t say any more on that, but does
01:45:14 support what Ben is saying about and I
01:45:17 about the ironic priesthood staying.
01:45:19 >> Right.
01:45:20 >> Right. By laying on of hands. Um,
01:45:23 >> yes. Absolutely. It is. It is a
01:45:25 different uh mode of
01:45:29 being received, right? Yes.
01:45:31 >> Yeah. Um so, but those who receive the
01:45:34 high priesthood, if they stay
01:45:40 repentant,
01:45:41 >> well, I’ll I’ll leave that in there.
01:45:44 They will at least be turstral if not
01:45:48 celestial later because as in continuing
01:45:51 down from justification to
01:45:53 sanctification. Right. Right.
01:45:56 >> And you you you have to be turstral to
01:46:01 see Yeshua. Thus you can receive him.
01:46:04 >> Right.
01:46:05 >> Yeah.
01:46:05 >> And then he that and then he says, “He
01:46:07 that receiveth me receiveth my father.”
01:46:09 So this is this is a process that we’re
01:46:11 seeing here. This is the process.
01:46:16 >> Yeah. Well, on 37 to me, honestly, it
01:46:18 says modalism.
01:46:21 They’re the same. Yeah. No, I
01:46:23 understand. I understand that. But he’s
01:46:25 not just talking about modalism. He’s
01:46:27 talking to the people. He’s talking to
01:46:29 people. If you receive me, you receive
01:46:31 my father.
01:46:32 >> Yeah.
01:46:32 >> Right. Right. Right.
01:46:33 >> They are one. They are one and they are
01:46:36 the same being different modes.
01:46:39 >> But if you receive him, you receive his
01:46:41 father. If you receive his father, then
01:46:43 obviously you receive the father’s
01:46:45 kingdom and therefore he can’t withhold
01:46:47 anything from you.
01:46:49 >> Yeah. So I I I I I
01:46:51 would maybe add a little bit here
01:46:53 because the son is turtlestral, the
01:46:56 father is celestial. So those who
01:46:59 receive the son fully completely
01:47:03 will then be able to see the glory which
01:47:06 would be the father.
01:47:07 >> Yeah. Correct.
01:47:08 >> The celestial. So and I know I’m reading
01:47:10 into this some but I do believe I can
01:47:14 use scriptures to support it. Okay. So,
01:47:16 but
01:47:16 >> right.
01:47:18 >> In fact, my my father’s kingdom kind of
01:47:20 goes along with that, which is the
01:47:21 church of the firstborn. Oh, wait a
01:47:24 minute. Is it the fathers or the
01:47:26 firstborn Yeshua? Oh, wait. Is that
01:47:28 modalism?
01:47:28 >> No, it’s it’s both. Yeah. Yes. Yeah.
01:47:32 >> But but here’s the thing, right?
01:47:35 Therefore, all those who who receive the
01:47:37 priesthood receive this oath and
01:47:39 covenant, right? which you cannot break.
01:47:45 Neither can it be moved.
01:47:48 >> Yes.
01:47:48 >> But there’s a warning.
01:47:51 >> Okay, we’re going to close with the
01:47:53 warning.
01:47:55 >> I I
01:47:55 >> So let’s clarify who can break it.
01:47:58 >> I also want to point out in 40 which he
01:48:02 cannot break.
01:48:03 >> Yeah. So men and I are making the same
01:48:06 point.
01:48:07 >> Who can’t break it? It’s Yeshua or the
01:48:10 father, right?
01:48:12 >> Same soul. But we as people can or
01:48:18 >> uh and there are some serious
01:48:21 consequences to that.
01:48:23 >> And here comes the warning about that.
01:48:28 >> 41 and 42.
01:48:32 >> Anybody want to read? I’ll take it. Do
01:48:34 you want to read it, Brennan?
01:48:37 Sure.
01:48:39 What verse is that?
01:48:40 >> 41 and 42.
01:48:42 >> Sure. Uh, but who so who so breakth this
01:48:46 covenant after he hath received it and
01:48:49 altogether turneth there from shall not
01:48:52 have forgiveness of sins in this world,
01:48:54 nor in the world to come.
01:48:56 >> Yikes. Well,
01:48:56 >> okay. I think let’s so let’s focus there
01:49:00 a little bit and and Josh, I’ll go as
01:49:02 deep or not as you want me to, but this
01:49:06 was committing the mark of the beast 666
01:49:09 after you receive the high priesthood,
01:49:13 you once that happens, you cannot be
01:49:17 forgiven. And I only know of three
01:49:20 examples in the scriptures of this.
01:49:22 >> Ham,
01:49:23 >> yep. Saul and Judas. Okay.
01:49:27 >> Um, and Saul’s probably the best example
01:49:31 because there’s a lot written about
01:49:33 Saul, right?
01:49:34 >> And boy, he earned it. Yes.
01:49:37 >> Yes. But he cannot be forgiven. And I I
01:49:41 think in the history in I can’t remember
01:49:44 if it’s 1 Samuel or 2 Samuel. Um, it’s
01:49:47 one of those two. But anyways, it does
01:49:49 bring out how he can’t be forgiven,
01:49:51 which goes along with what Paul talks
01:49:53 about occasionally, the unforgiven
01:49:56 unforgivable sin. It’s this right here.
01:50:00 >> Yep.
01:50:00 >> Receiving the priesthood and then
01:50:02 committing the mark of the beast or 666.
01:50:05 So, let me just say that 600
01:50:09 60 and six. And if you go look at the
01:50:11 symbolic num meanings of those numbers,
01:50:13 six is natural man.
01:50:15 >> Yep. 60 is in his pride. 600 fighting
01:50:20 against Yahweh or Yeshua in his Torah.
01:50:24 That’s 666. It’s not so mystical when
01:50:28 you actually learn symbolism. I love
01:50:30 symbolism. Ask these ask anybody.
01:50:33 >> I love it.
01:50:34 >> Okay.
01:50:35 >> Um when you know the symbolism of the
01:50:37 numbers, it’s easy
01:50:39 >> as I just told it to. Nor is it any kind
01:50:42 of technological implant.
01:50:46 >> No,
01:50:47 >> that they that that is likely to be put
01:50:50 into a lot of people. I mean, what kind
01:50:56 of what kind of deity would write
01:50:59 somebody off because they got a
01:51:01 technological implant?
01:51:03 >> Yeah. Well, and to help support that,
01:51:06 the mark of Kane. Kane got a mark. It’s
01:51:09 the same mark that has in the fifth
01:51:12 seal.
01:51:13 >> You got specifics on second coming stuff
01:51:15 where all this comes from.
01:51:17 >> It’s because and you go read about the
01:51:19 fifth seal is how they’re rejecting
01:51:20 Yahweh and his ways and their pride,
01:51:23 >> right?
01:51:24 >> And they’re fighting against fighting
01:51:26 against Zion
01:51:27 >> and not just rejecting not just
01:51:29 rejecting but actively fighting against
01:51:31 it.
01:51:32 >> Oh, yeah. Because they’re going to go
01:51:33 fight against Zion,
01:51:34 >> right?
01:51:36 >> So, it’s there.
01:51:38 It’s in the symbolism. It’s in the
01:51:40 prophecies. You just
01:51:43 um
01:51:45 people haven’t put it together because I
01:51:48 will say
01:51:50 they’re not being given the priest the
01:51:52 mysteries because they’re not keeping
01:51:53 Yahweh’s ways. Yahweh.
01:51:56 >> They may have they may have the desire
01:51:58 to keep his ways, but they don’t have
01:52:00 the knowledge. And
01:52:02 >> they’re confused because they’re
01:52:04 listening to the wrong preachers, which
01:52:06 goes along with 28:14. There there are a
01:52:10 lot of
01:52:12 righteous people out there that want to
01:52:14 follow Yahweh’s ways. They just are
01:52:16 listening to the wrong people and don’t
01:52:18 know where to look.
01:52:20 >> Yep.
01:52:21 >> Kind of like what we were talking about
01:52:22 earlier today, Ben. Yeah.
01:52:24 >> Yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah.
01:52:26 >> Yeah.
01:52:27 >> Um actually we don’t need really need to
01:52:29 read 42.41 was the warning. Um
01:52:33 >> well we would at least read it if before
01:52:35 we go on. Sorry.
01:52:38 >> And wo unto all those who come not unto
01:52:41 this priesthood which ye have received
01:52:44 which I now confirm unto you who are
01:52:46 present this day by my own voice out of
01:52:48 the heavens. And even I have given the
01:52:50 heavenly hosts and mine angels charge
01:52:53 concerning you.
01:52:55 >> So this actually yeah this is a good
01:52:57 one.
01:52:59 >> The higher priesthood is given by his
01:53:01 voice.
01:53:02 >> Yeah. His own by my own voice out of the
01:53:05 heavens. And if you go to DNC 1,
01:53:08 uh, that will include his servants
01:53:10 through their mouths if they’re actually
01:53:13 saying what Yahweh want said, not just
01:53:15 something they’re saying as some people
01:53:17 interpret that stuff. And and Joseph
01:53:20 Smith was uh revealing Yahw’s mind and
01:53:23 will here. So it was Yahweh’s own voice
01:53:26 that gave the high priesthood to those
01:53:29 >> I think it was seven elders if I
01:53:31 remember right. If we look at the intro,
01:53:35 Uh, well, it doesn’t matter. Uh, I think
01:53:37 it was seven.
01:53:38 >> I think you’re right. I think you’re
01:53:39 right.
01:53:41 >> It was not by laying on of hands, by his
01:53:44 own voice out of heaven.
01:53:47 >> Yes.
01:53:48 >> Mhm.
01:53:49 >> It’s very important.
01:53:50 >> Well, and here’s the other thing that I
01:53:52 see in there. Woe unto all those who
01:53:55 come not under this priesthood.
01:53:58 >> Yeah. So, specifically men, right?
01:54:01 Right. Yeah. Um because that means
01:54:03 you’re
01:54:05 testral
01:54:06 or lower when the lower than Testral or
01:54:09 Sons of Preditions as in hell.
01:54:11 >> You don’t want to be there. Trust me.
01:54:13 >> Well, no, you’ll still be happy as a
01:54:15 center of predition. I sorry as Tstro.
01:54:18 That was a slip up. My bad. Sorry about
01:54:20 that.
01:54:21 >> I was gonna say,
01:54:23 >> but you won’t see Yeshua.
01:54:26 >> Nope.
01:54:26 >> You won’t be able to receive him after
01:54:28 judgment as talked about earlier, right?
01:54:31 Yep. You’ll have to have to wait on
01:54:33 you’ll have to wait on the messengers.
01:54:36 >> Yeah. Yeah. You you’ll you’ll learn
01:54:38 about the Holy Spirit as stated in the
01:54:42 DNC76 from those who receive higher
01:54:45 glories.
01:54:46 >> Yeah. And so so the other thing and so
01:54:48 the other thing about that is you will
01:54:50 be one of those who says,
01:54:55 “Lord, didn’t I do all these things in
01:54:57 your name?” And he’s going to say,
01:55:00 “Depart from me. You never knew me.”
01:55:03 >> Yep. And so that’s uh Matthew 7, the
01:55:06 last near the end at the what I like to
01:55:10 call sermon on Torah. Most people call
01:55:11 sermon on the mount.
01:55:14 >> Yep. So this this concludes the portion
01:55:17 that I of this uh section that I wanted
01:55:19 to go through today. Um I I just thought
01:55:23 it was absolutely fascinating and
01:55:25 beautiful.
01:55:27 The priesthood is an integral part of
01:55:29 Torah. They are inseparable. Uh
01:55:33 especially for men.
01:55:36 Um and if you wish as a man
01:55:41 to uh obtain sanctification,
01:55:45 you need to come onto this priesthood,
01:55:50 the higher priesthood
01:55:53 >> and the real one, not the pretend one
01:55:56 that gets promoted in restoration
01:55:58 churches.
01:55:59 >> Correct.
01:56:00 the the one that you can only receive by
01:56:05 the voice
01:56:07 out of heaven. Yeah.
01:56:10 >> And the two witnesses of revelation
01:56:13 are witnesses to this fact, this
01:56:16 priesthood, this sanctification.
01:56:20 They This is what they witness to. And
01:56:22 they pronounce judgment from their
01:56:25 mouths upon those who will not receive
01:56:28 it.
01:56:29 >> And
01:56:30 as Peter did in Acts two and Nephihel
01:56:37 in later chapter I forget is it I
01:56:43 it’s not f anyways um there’s multiple
01:56:46 examples throughout right where he
01:56:49 pronounced the the drought I forget
01:56:52 >> oh yeah yeah yeah yeah
01:56:55 Nephi
01:56:56 >> yeah Nephi in Helman um I forget the
01:56:59 chapter But anyways, there’s multiple
01:57:00 examples.
01:57:02 >> Joshua, humor me. I want to read 43 and
01:57:06 44 if that’s okay.
01:57:08 >> Sure.
01:57:09 >> And now I give unto you a commandment to
01:57:11 to beware concerning yourselves. So stay
01:57:15 alert.
01:57:17 >> Mhm.
01:57:18 >> Diligent heed.
01:57:22 So diligent has to do with being
01:57:25 diligent, keeping the commandments. Heed
01:57:26 has to do with the trust. Yep.
01:57:28 >> Faith to the words
01:57:32 Yahweh’s words of eternal life. So you
01:57:35 need to do this to get eternal life.
01:57:38 >> Yes.
01:57:40 >> Now I I do want to read 44 because I do
01:57:43 know
01:57:44 >> my definition of Torah is different than
01:57:48 mainstream because I say that Torah is
01:57:51 every word of Yahw that is not a
01:57:53 prescribed punishment. So I’m going to
01:57:55 read 44. For you shall live by every
01:57:58 word that proceedth forth from the mouth
01:58:01 of Elohim. That’s Torah.
01:58:04 >> And
01:58:04 >> that is Torah.
01:58:06 >> That is Torah. And if Josh will humor
01:58:09 me,
01:58:11 >> I will read 45 and 46.
01:58:13 >> No.
01:58:13 >> Okay, let me scroll down a little bit
01:58:15 for you.
01:58:16 For the word of Yah is truth,
01:58:21 and whatsoever is truth is light,
01:58:25 and whatsoever is light is spirit,
01:58:30 even the spirit
01:58:32 of Yeshua Hamashiach.
01:58:38 This is what shows us absolutely
01:58:43 that Torah is the spirit.
01:58:46 >> Yeah.
01:58:48 >> Yeah. The word of the Lord is truth, and
01:58:51 whatsoever is truth is light, and
01:58:54 whatsoever is light is spirit, even the
01:58:57 spirit of Yeshua Hamashiach. And the
01:58:59 spirit giveth light to every man that
01:59:03 cometh into the world.
01:59:05 >> Now, this is man, not child, which goes
01:59:08 along with Moroni 7.
01:59:10 >> Right.
01:59:10 >> Right. And this also goes along with how
01:59:14 uh throughout the Bible um and I don’t
01:59:18 know if we have this verse there, but
01:59:20 and our Torah is light verse shows tons
01:59:22 of scriptures. And if we don’t have this
01:59:24 one, I need to add it and I’ll do that
01:59:25 later myself.
01:59:26 >> Yes.
01:59:26 >> And the spirit giveth light to every man
01:59:29 that cometh into the world and the
01:59:30 spirit enlightenth every man through the
01:59:33 world that hearkeneth to the voice of
01:59:36 the spirit. So, as we get as we obey, as
01:59:41 we walk in Torah, our walk in the spirit
01:59:44 will deepen and grow. We will understand
01:59:47 more. We will see more of the things
01:59:49 that we’ve been missing. And we come to
01:59:52 a unity of the faith. And we come to a
01:59:55 place where he can shed upon us his
02:00:01 crowning blessing
02:00:04 upon all the children of men of
02:00:06 sanctification.
02:00:09 >> Yeah.
02:00:10 >> That’s the goal.
02:00:11 >> Yeah. So I I do want to add through the
02:00:13 world that means everybody every adult
02:00:16 throughout the world. In addition
02:00:20 >> it does bring out how mortality
02:00:23 is part of this including our mistakes
02:00:27 which are not sins and our sins.
02:00:33 >> Now we we don’t have to sin and we
02:00:35 shouldn’t sin but I want to bring out
02:00:38 how we can learn from our sins. We
02:00:40 should not wallow in our sins. We should
02:00:43 repent of them and learn from them.
02:00:46 Okay.
02:00:47 >> Yeah.
02:00:47 >> By the way, your personality is not a
02:00:50 sin either.
02:00:51 >> No, it’s not.
02:00:54 >> If you happen to be an abrasive
02:00:56 personality, it’s probably good that you
02:00:58 learn how to temp tamp that down a bit.
02:01:02 Sure.
02:01:03 >> But
02:01:04 it’s not
02:01:05 >> that in and of itself is not a sin.
02:01:08 >> No, it’s not.
02:01:10 No.
02:01:12 >> Okay. We good?
02:01:15 >> Uh, I think so.
02:01:17 >> Okay. All right.
