A quote from Mauricio Berger’s supposed Brazil Sealed Portion regarding publishing.

The Joseph Smith Papers did a TV episode on the Printing of the Book of Mormon. I believe it’s worth 30 minutes to watch the whole thing, or less if you speed it up, but just in case you don’t want to or can’t find the time below are two important quotes from it.

03M08S It [publication of the Book of Mormon] was quite a big project very ambitious print run for that time and place really

13M28S Royal Skousen – in fact in normally in those days people only printed a few hundred copies of a book and to print 5000 was extraordinary in fact that’s one of the reason why many of the printers weren’t really too happy about undertaking such a project because their press would be used for such a long period of time

I hope you gathered from the quotes and the episode that Joseph Smith did as much as he could to get the Book of Mormon out to everyone who wanted it including using new technology of the day, 23M46S stereotyped plates (wikipedia), such that printing more in the future would be much quicker and easier. I don’t see the same thing happening with Mauricio Berger’s supposed Brazil Sealed Portion.

Converted Lamanites telling everyone, including other Lamanites non-believers, they could about their experience of the heavens opening up to them and angels ministering to them.

We are to publish and declare Christ words to the end of the earth not keep his words back and only give our understanding of them.

3 Nephi (LDS 11:41) (RLDS 5:43) Therefore, go forth unto this people, and DECLARE THE WORDS WHICH I HAVE SPOKEN, UNTO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH.
