Summary:
Talking about the Sacrament. The sacrament is to fill us physically and spiritually. YHWH’s word has depth of meaning. Torah is statutes, commandments and judgements. Law of Moses is performances and ordinances. When you take on a name you act that way. D&C (LDS 89) (RLDS 86) (1835 50) (1844 81) talks about having a feast with sacrament as does Paul JST Corinthians 11:17-34. Lees from D&C (LDS 27) (RLDS 26) (1833 28) (1835 50) (1844 50) is a byproduct of making wine which is alcoholic. The bread and wine are not literally Yeshua’s flesh and blood for one that would go against Kosher law. Book of Mormon does talk about the Melchizedek and Aaronic priesthoods. Those who bless the sacrament are to kneel along with the church while the sacrament blessings are being given. If you are under Yeshua’s covering you are Israel. LDS Patriarchs are not always inspired with what they put in Patriarchal Blessings. YHWH states we are to marry those who believe the same not to marry people of other nations and Ruth is an example of this because she was a Moabite. You are the tribe of your father. LDS church has excommunicated a family for kneeling in the fourier for sacrament. The sacrament bread goes with commandments and the wine goes with joy. The order of commandments then joy is on purpose. How the sacrament prayers start with “O Elohim” is a plea. Torah defines how we are to behave which goes with spirit. Both Moroni (LDS 5) (RLDS 5) and D&C (LDS 20) (RLDS 17) (1833 24) (1835 2) (1844 2) state WINE not water. Book of Mormon states to use the word authority as did the 1833 D&C did also, I don’t believe Joseph Smith did that change for one Joseph Smith was busy working on the Lectures on Faith. Lectures on Faith is why the word doctrine was added to the D&C. Book of Mormon and church history teaches rebaptism. Baptism is a witness of a covenant already made. Church offices are done by vote of the people of branches already organized and by revelation when it has not been organized yet. The D&C only states to sustain civil government leaders, D&C states to vote for church leadership. Joseph F Smith discontinued rebaptism as a requirement to enter the temple in 1893. Joseph F Smith did a lot of lying to support polygamy. Naaman was rebaptized for health. It is best to baptized in living water. Stagnate water represents sin as I bring out in Joseph Smith’s Last Dream. I personally ask question from Acts 15, Moroni (LDS 6) (RLDS 6) and Mosiah (LDS 18) (RLDS 9) when people ask me to baptize them which goes along do you believe Yeshua is the promised Messiah and are you striving to keep Torah. Around High Holidays are a good time to be rebaptized. Aaronic priests need to be 25 years Hebrew to do public ministry which includes baptism. To be baptized you need to be Hebrew 8 years which is Greek 7 years. The church organization changed when Joseph was 30 Hebrew years because Joseph was old enough to use his Melchizedek priesthood publicly. LDS / Brighamite church does not have the Melchizedek which is given by YHWH’s own voice. Melchizedek priesthood is given by YHWH’s voice because they are YHWH’s voice, and Aaronic is given by the laying on of hands because they are YHWH’s hands or in other words doing the work.

00:00:01 Okay. So, Lake was asking a little bit
00:00:04 about the sacrament. Um, so I think
00:00:08 there’s lots of attributes that we could
00:00:11 or aspects we could talk about. So,
00:00:13 we’ll we’ll first start with uh Moroni 4
00:00:17 and five and then we can add to that
00:00:20 after. Okay. So, first of all, um on the
00:00:24 full though that he was bringing up that
00:00:26 is
00:00:29 uh 3 Nephi 18, I think,
00:00:33 because that was actually part of the
00:00:35 specific question. Um I think it’s 3
00:00:38 Nephi 18. If not, we’ll pause and we’ll
00:00:40 find it. Oh, I remember. Oh, full of
00:00:45 purpose of Okay, so I’m going to pause
00:00:46 for a minute while we go find the verse
00:00:48 real quick because maybe it’s 27. But
00:00:50 anyways, let me pause.
00:00:53 So, we found what we were looking for.
00:00:56 Uh Ben realized that we should look for
00:00:59 filled and not full. Um same meeting,
00:01:03 but when you’re doing act explicit text
00:01:05 searches, the actual word matters.
00:01:09 Yeah.
00:01:09 So, um but here, so third Nephi 18, uh
00:01:15 deals with the sacrament uh on multiple
00:01:18 aspects. One being that people need to
00:01:21 be baptized.
00:01:23 So that means unbaptized little children
00:01:25 should be not taking the sacrament and
00:01:27 that they should be repenting.
00:01:29 Um, you mean that the LDS church isn’t
00:01:33 doing it right?
00:01:35 Uh, yeah. I can randomly open to any
00:01:38 page in the Book of Mormon and show you
00:01:39 how they’re doing it wrong.
00:01:43 They don’t even live by their own
00:01:44 scriptural texts. That’s
00:01:47 Joseph Smith. That just makes him like
00:01:50 the rest of Christianity.
00:01:52 Yeah. Well, Joseph Smith said, “Abide
00:01:53 the Book of Mormon, not use it as a
00:01:56 token.”
00:01:59 So anyway,
00:02:01 well, just like just like Yeshua said,
00:02:02 “Live by my word, not use it as a
00:02:04 token.” And the Christians the
00:02:06 Christians mess that one up, too.
00:02:08 Well, so did the Jews when he was young.
00:02:11 Exactly. Exactly. Um, anyways, uh,
00:02:15 carrying on with the sacrament. So um
00:02:19 sorry
00:02:19 anyway so this field it has two purposes
00:02:23 um and so this gets with the idea of
00:02:26 padres which goes basically how there’s
00:02:29 deeper levels in meaning um and so and
00:02:34 in addition the surface level does not
00:02:39 contradict the more deep level nor does
00:02:43 the deeper level contradict the surface
00:02:45 level. Okay. Now, uh sacrament to go
00:02:49 along with the physical level
00:02:53 that I have a bit of wine and I do two
00:02:58 slices of bread. As you can see, I’ve
00:03:00 had half already. But that goes along
00:03:02 with the physical field.
00:03:05 But on the spiritual field,
00:03:08 um we could go look at the blessings.
00:03:11 And the blessings actually talk about
00:03:14 how we are to be filled with his spirit
00:03:17 or his behavior. Okay. So on the
00:03:21 blessings, I do want to share
00:03:25 something I put together just to make it
00:03:27 easier to see what I’m talking about. So
00:03:30 let me get that ready.
00:03:40 share. And I probably need to make it
00:03:42 bigger.
00:03:44 There we go.
00:03:45 Yeah, for all the blind people in the
00:03:47 back.
00:03:48 Yeah. Well, I I have bigger screens than
00:03:50 most people. Uh resolution and
00:03:55 etc etc etc. Yeah. Anyways
00:03:59 um so
00:04:02 here to keep his commandments at the end
00:04:07 is such that they will which that’s a
00:04:09 key word that goes along with Torah.
00:04:12 There’s three words that goes along with
00:04:14 Torah. Statutes, commandments, and
00:04:16 judgments. Okay.
00:04:19 There’s two words that go with law of
00:04:21 Moses which are two different things.
00:04:22 I’ll just bring this out. Performances
00:04:25 and ordinances. Okay, there there’s
00:04:28 differences. Moses is done away with at
00:04:31 the cross. Torah is not. And law of
00:04:35 Moses is primarily
00:04:38 the two daily lambs that was given as a
00:04:40 punishment. There’s a little more to it,
00:04:43 but that’s the most of it. Okay. So
00:04:45 anyways, so
00:04:49 at the end it says, “And we keep his
00:04:51 commandments and otherwise Torah which
00:04:54 he hath given them that they may always
00:04:57 have his spirit or behavior
00:05:01 to be with them.”
00:05:03 Another another interesting thing about
00:05:04 that keep his commandments. That’s how
00:05:06 we take his name upon us.
00:05:09 Yeah. Uh which I even show up here
00:05:11 character. The 1828 dictionary actually
00:05:14 has a definition of name that goes with
00:05:17 character. And in Hebrew idiom
00:05:20 uh or symbolism, name also goes along
00:05:23 with character.
00:05:25 Uh you take on when you take on a name,
00:05:28 you act that way just as Go ahead, Ben.
00:05:32 And so the whole thing about taking on
00:05:34 the name of Christ,
00:05:36 it’s not around, it’s not about going
00:05:38 running around saying Jesus Jesus and
00:05:40 Jesus this, Jesus that and all that
00:05:41 other Jesus.
00:05:43 Uh no, it’s not magic.
00:05:47 It is it is it is some it is a process
00:05:50 that we go about as we learn to live
00:05:55 Torah.
00:05:56 Yes. And Yeshua’s character is defined
00:06:01 by Torah. Okay.
00:06:04 Uh as in John 1 one or John 1, I forget
00:06:10 the actual verse, but anyways, John 1
00:06:12 early verses brings out how uh Yeshua is
00:06:15 the perfect profification of Torah. Um
00:06:20 and the New Translation, also known as
00:06:23 JST or inspired version, brings that out
00:06:25 even more. I can add a link to that or
00:06:28 we can get into it. Um or both. But
00:06:30 anyways, it’s the character and so that
00:06:34 they may always have his behavior or his
00:06:37 spirit, his Torah. Okay? Because Torah
00:06:40 defines how we are to def behave. Um
00:06:45 that’s how we’re supposed to be full.
00:06:48 By the way, Torah means instruction or
00:06:52 holy instruction in this case.
00:06:54 Yeah. Um, so there’s various definitions
00:06:57 or translations of Torah. Uh, the Jews
00:07:02 like to translate it as instructions.
00:07:05 The Christians like to translate it as
00:07:07 law.
00:07:09 Yes.
00:07:10 Um, but that is what we’re supposed to
00:07:12 be full of. In addition, what goes along
00:07:15 with that? As you’re eating,
00:07:18 um, you have teachings. As you can see
00:07:22 here, I’m eating
00:07:27 um and and drinking.
00:07:32 And I’m going to say this for a joke,
00:07:34 being married, but
00:07:39 but um actually DNC I’ll be it’ll be
00:07:43 easier to show from here. Um, but DNC 89
00:07:47 actually gets into how while you’re
00:07:50 having sacrament, you should have a
00:07:52 feast, which goes along with being
00:07:54 physically full.
00:07:58 Let me and that’s connected to something
00:08:00 that Paul says in the New Testament,
00:08:04 and I will show that in just a minute as
00:08:06 I can show. Okay, so here’s the DC89.
00:08:11 Oh, but that’s using wine. So, that’s
00:08:12 not the one we want.
00:08:14 Um,
00:08:16 okay. Well, one thing, 1 Corinthians
00:08:19 11:17-34
00:08:22 is about the sacrament. Uh, Paul
00:08:24 complains about
00:08:27 um people getting drunk.
00:08:31 And so what’s happening is
00:08:34 uh some people are coming to the
00:08:36 gathering together or as in from LDS
00:08:39 single word terminology, the linger
00:08:42 longer. Okay.
00:08:44 Um, but it should be during more the
00:08:46 first. But anyways, but just to kind of
00:08:49 get of an idea u and during this meal
00:08:52 part before everybody gets there, people
00:08:54 are drinking the wine too much and
00:08:57 they’re getting drunk, not leaving
00:08:58 enough for others and not leaving enough
00:09:00 for the sacrament. Okay?
00:09:03 And that’s what this kaism gets into in
00:09:06 1 Corinthians 11:17-34,
00:09:10 which is tied to DNC 89 at
00:09:17 the first couple verses.
00:09:22 Oh, it’s this one. Uh, in so much that
00:09:24 man drinkketh wine or strong drink among
00:09:26 you, behold, it is not good. Um, as in
00:09:30 they’re
00:09:33 just drinking it to drink it. Okay. To
00:09:35 get drunk. Um, which is a problem. What
00:09:39 was going on in here in 1 Corinthians
00:09:42 11:17 through34. They’re drinking it
00:09:45 before they’re having their sacrament.
00:09:47 They’re drinking it too much first.
00:09:50 Um,
00:09:51 but only in assembling yourselves
00:09:54 together to offer up your sacraments
00:09:57 before
00:09:58 Yeshua or Yahweh. Okay. Um which goes
00:10:02 along how DNC 89 says sacrament is with
00:10:05 wine.
00:10:08 Um and the drunkardness that’s going on
00:10:10 in the Corinthians 11:17-34
00:10:13 cuz they’re drinking too much of it
00:10:15 before everybody’s there and sharing it.
00:10:18 Okay.
00:10:20 And behold, this should be Wait a
00:10:23 minute. This should be
00:10:26 that means uh that’s
00:10:28 wine. Yes.
00:10:30 Yeah. But this is the highly preferred
00:10:32 preference. Okay.
00:10:35 Wine.
00:10:37 Yay. Pure wine of the grape of the vine
00:10:39 of your own make. This is after DNC 27
00:10:43 that people like to use to say water.
00:10:46 Now water is okay. But after Yeshua said
00:10:48 you can use anything. He said, “Go make
00:10:51 your own wine.” Is what it states in the
00:10:54 verse. And then later in that section,
00:10:56 it brings out how Yeshua will come
00:10:59 drinking wine on the leaves. Lees is a
00:11:02 byproduct of making wine. But anyways,
00:11:05 sorry for all this sidetracking, but
00:11:07 this actually does connect to 1
00:11:09 Corinthians 11:17-34
00:11:12 where it is with a meal. Okay, which
00:11:15 goes along with being full. Now,
00:11:19 um
00:11:20 that’s kind of hard to do over Zoom. So,
00:11:23 we haven’t really been doing that and
00:11:25 especially
00:11:26 uh with we’re dealing with uh three
00:11:30 different time zones most of the time.
00:11:32 Um so, that gets a little hard, but we
00:11:36 do, at least me, have a good portion of
00:11:40 wine and bread. Okay.
00:11:42 Yep. wife has an I don’t know how many
00:11:45 ounces this is, but this is a good cup.
00:11:47 This is my sacrament cup actually. But
00:11:50 anyways, um yeah,
00:11:54 so hopefully that goes with the field
00:11:58 part of your question, right, Lake?
00:12:01 Yeah, thanks. I appreciate it. Yeah.
00:12:02 Yeah. Um we can get into some other
00:12:04 details in the Sacramento if you would
00:12:06 like to or if you want talk about some
00:12:09 whatever you want to do. Yeah, it don’t
00:12:10 matter.
00:12:11 Okay. So, let me go back.
00:12:14 Uh we’ll go here. So,
00:12:19 um one I want to bring out and this is
00:12:21 indeed C20 also,
00:12:24 but this is the position that you should
00:12:27 be in. Okay? Now, if you have problems
00:12:29 with your knees, don’t worry about it.
00:12:32 But the preferred is that you’re
00:12:34 kneeling on your knees.
00:12:37 Um so, let’s start with verse one. and
00:12:40 the manner of the elders and the priests
00:12:42 administering the flesh and blood of the
00:12:45 Messiah unto the church. They did
00:12:48 administer it according to the
00:12:50 commandments of the Messiah. So they’re
00:12:53 talking about what the right there what
00:12:55 the sacrament represents. Okay?
00:12:59 Not what it literally is what it
00:13:01 represents.
00:13:01 Don’t you dare take that literally. Uh
00:13:04 yeah, if you that goes against kosher
00:13:07 portion of Torah to take it literally
00:13:10 actually.
00:13:11 Yep.
00:13:12 Um so and that’s still valid. Uh even
00:13:16 according to Acts 10 and Acts 15 and uh
00:13:19 Mark 7 are the big major ones, but
00:13:22 everywhere else there’s more. But
00:13:24 anyways, um and they did administer it
00:13:28 to the oh to the commandments of the
00:13:31 Messiah. Wherefore we know that the
00:13:33 matter to be true and the elders or the
00:13:36 priests did administer it. Okay. So just
00:13:40 a quick review. Uh the Book of Mormon
00:13:42 does talk about priesthood. Priest is
00:13:44 erotic. Elder is Melzdc.
00:13:48 It’s called the twoc.
00:13:53 Uh so this is Moroni 41.
00:13:56 Okay.
00:13:57 This is after Yeshua. both ironic and
00:14:00 Melisedc priesthood on the earth after
00:14:03 Yeshua.
00:14:04 Yeah, right there.
00:14:06 Um, two priesthoods,
00:14:09 Melzdc and ironic in the Book of Mormon
00:14:11 right there. Okay. Um, okay. Now, here’s
00:14:15 the part that it gets into and they it’s
00:14:18 talking about who’s ever doing the
00:14:20 blessing of the sacrament, right? The
00:14:23 the the commandments and then the
00:14:28 the joy, but actually it’s the bread and
00:14:31 the wine. But that’s what they
00:14:33 represent. We can dig into that if in a
00:14:35 bit if we want. But they did kneel
00:14:40 down with the church. Oh, wait a minute.
00:14:43 With the church.
00:14:45 What does with mean?
00:14:47 Um
00:14:49 a a sense of together.
00:14:51 Same same. Everybody kneels.
00:14:55 So, it’s not only those who are blessing
00:14:58 that’s
00:15:00 um kneeling. It’s the whole church.
00:15:03 Yeah. Well, we’re the church, aren’t we?
00:15:05 The people are the church.
00:15:07 Yes.
00:15:08 Yes.
00:15:08 Yes. Yes.
00:15:10 So, the actual word that uh the actual
00:15:14 word in the New Testament that’s
00:15:15 translated church is ecclesia. It’s the
00:15:18 same word that’s translated in the in
00:15:21 the Septuagent when they’re talking
00:15:23 about the uh assembly of Israel. Um and
00:15:28 that is what we are when we uh enter
00:15:32 into covenant with Yeshua. For his
00:15:34 covenant is only with
00:15:38 with Yehuda and Israel.
00:15:43 Oh, right. Judah. Well,
00:15:45 well, Judah is including Israel,
00:15:47 right?
00:15:48 Yeah. But I’m just saying. And then in
00:15:51 Jeremiah 31, it separates the two kind
00:15:53 of.
00:15:55 Uh yeah. Okay. So there uh it’s because
00:15:59 it’s going between the northern and the
00:16:00 southern kingdom.
00:16:02 Yeah.
00:16:02 Israel, like other words, is overloaded.
00:16:06 So
00:16:06 Right. Right. Right. Right.
00:16:08 Which can make things tricky sometimes
00:16:11 to understand. But anyways, that’s why
00:16:15 we use lots of scriptures to help us
00:16:17 understand. We don’t just use one and
00:16:19 forget all the others. We try to use
00:16:21 them all. But anyways, so yes, Ben’s
00:16:24 right on that is as he’s bringing it
00:16:26 out. I I I’m prone to just say Israel
00:16:28 for all, but yes, some scriptures use
00:16:30 Israel as the northern kingdom. So,
00:16:33 yeah, but we are the church. Yes, we’re
00:16:35 we’re the church.
00:16:36 Yeah.
00:16:37 Those who covenanted. Yes. Uh, one thing
00:16:40 to keep in mind is when Moses left
00:16:44 Egypt, he took the Israelites
00:16:47 and mixed multitude.
00:16:50 Yeah.
00:16:50 Yes.
00:16:51 And they were adopted into Israel. Okay.
00:16:55 Um, so it doesn’t matter if you’re
00:16:57 Israel by blood or by adoption, you’re
00:16:59 still Israel because Israel means I
00:17:03 don’t know if Ben wants to bring it out,
00:17:04 but because he
00:17:05 Israel means those who have struggled
00:17:07 with God and man and prevail.
00:17:09 Yeah. Um, so
00:17:13 no, it does not mean let God prevail.
00:17:18 Yeah. Uh Yahweh wants all his followers
00:17:22 to become
00:17:24 sanctified. Okay.
00:17:26 And so yeah, the the um and and so that
00:17:29 that when you enter into covenant with
00:17:31 him, you become Israel. Um
00:17:35 and it’s accepted by him. Just a little.
00:17:38 Yeah. And it’s accepted by him. And your
00:17:40 covenant entering is accepted by him.
00:17:42 And you become Israel.
00:17:44 Yeah. Because after all because after
00:17:46 all u he’s in charge of all of this.
00:17:49 Yeah. Well,
00:17:50 how does that Sorry. So, how does that
00:17:51 work with all the whole 12 tribes of
00:17:54 Israel and like with the LDS, how they
00:17:55 do it like every being adopted in or
00:17:58 whatnot? How’s that all work? Do you
00:17:59 know?
00:18:00 So, there are uh bloodlines that um
00:18:04 especially in today’s world, I do
00:18:06 believe pretty much everybody is
00:18:09 connected to Abraham somehow. If not
00:18:11 everybody, pretty close. Okay.
00:18:14 Now, um, the LDS church does like to
00:18:19 proclaim what tribe the patriarch thinks
00:18:22 you are. That may or may not be true.
00:18:26 Okay.
00:18:27 For instance, the patriarch declared
00:18:28 that I was a descendant of Ephraim, but
00:18:31 my genealogy screams loud and clear that
00:18:33 I’m a descendant of Judah.
00:18:35 Yeah. And Ben’s done some genealogy work
00:18:37 to bring that out. Um,
00:18:40 so this is an example of the patriarch
00:18:44 being wrong. Okay. Uh, mine does have
00:18:47 Ephraim. I do believe it for many
00:18:50 reasons. Um, and I can give you a link
00:18:53 to mine. I I put it online um to read
00:18:57 it. So, but just because some man
00:19:00 declares it doesn’t mean it’s actually
00:19:01 true. But um
00:19:05 they’re
00:19:07 uh the northern kingdom specifically
00:19:11 uh mostly uh which the 10 tribes were
00:19:14 scattered throughout the world and they
00:19:16 they intermixed or intermarried with
00:19:19 other people. So
00:19:21 um those tribes are in the bloods of
00:19:24 lots of people and then there’s
00:19:28 diaspora if I remember the term
00:19:30 correctly. I us daspora. Yes.
00:19:33 Daspora. Okay. Daspora of the Jews or
00:19:37 the southern kingdom which is Judah and
00:19:40 Benjamin. And
00:19:43 they did some marrying with other
00:19:46 with the world. Not as much as the
00:19:48 northern kingdom though.
00:19:50 Yeah. And they were a little bit more
00:19:50 exclusive. Yes.
00:19:52 Yeah. They’re they’re a little more
00:19:54 prideful. So,
00:19:57 um,
00:19:59 which
00:20:01 when the in the Bible when it talks
00:20:03 about not marrying other people, it’s
00:20:06 about if they don’t believe the same.
00:20:10 It’s not if they’re of another blood.
00:20:13 Cuz Ruth was a Moabitete.
00:20:17 Yep.
00:20:17 Which is of another blood. But she
00:20:20 converted. She believed. And that’s
00:20:23 she’s completely
00:20:24 Yeah. The Moabites, they got a special
00:20:27 cursing too from from Yahweh because
00:20:30 they purposefully led the children of
00:20:33 Israel astray.
00:20:34 Yeah. Um
00:20:38 there Yeah.
00:20:39 The other faithful witness besides
00:20:41 Joshua, he was actually a Kennesite who
00:20:44 was adopted into J into the house of
00:20:46 Judea of Judah.
00:20:52 Joshua from the book of Joshua.
00:20:54 Not Joshua. The go the other faithful
00:20:57 scout.
00:20:57 Caleb.
00:20:58 Caleb. Caleb. Okay.
00:21:00 Yeah. Caleb was actually a Kennesite. He
00:21:02 was adopted into the house of Judah and
00:21:04 he was chosen as their representative to
00:21:06 go spy on the land.
00:21:08 Okay. So, yeah, you can get So, this
00:21:11 gets into the point where you can be if
00:21:13 you’re not of the blood, you can get
00:21:14 adopted into a particular tribe. Um so
00:21:19 the basic idea from the Brigham LDS
00:21:23 church is correct
00:21:27 they don’t practice it correctly. So
00:21:30 yeah you can’t you can’t just declare an
00:21:32 adoption.
00:21:34 Yeah. Um so
00:21:39 well not the patriarch. You you can pick
00:21:42 yourself. Um and partly it’s kind of
00:21:45 combo of the tribe and yourself. But
00:21:47 anyways, um, so the basic idea is true,
00:21:51 but it’s
00:21:54 if you’re not of the blood, it’s
00:21:58 there’s a little more to it than and on
00:22:01 on that, you are the tribe of your
00:22:03 father. So if your father has a tribe,
00:22:09 that’s the son’s tribe and the
00:22:10 daughter’s tribe. It doesn’t matter.
00:22:13 Um,
00:22:14 right. It’s all done through patriarchy.
00:22:16 Yes.
00:22:17 Yeah. And I I did a resource page
00:22:19 recently on that on Elma with an H, not
00:22:23 like from the Book of Mormon without the
00:22:25 H. But anyways,
00:22:27 um which is probably best translated
00:22:30 mate as maiden in my opinion, not
00:22:32 virgin, but that’s a whole another
00:22:33 subject. Um
00:22:37 so hopefully that helps on the tribes
00:22:40 for you there. Like
00:22:41 Yeah. No, thank thanks.
00:22:43 Yeah. Um, and oh, I the Book of Mormon
00:22:47 talks about how the Gentiles are adopted
00:22:50 into the 12 tribes of Israel.
00:22:52 Yeah, I was about to ask about that. So,
00:22:53 what’s that mean? Yeah, about the
00:22:55 Gentiles and stuff. Is that people who
00:22:56 don’t have the gospel yet?
00:22:58 No, that’s just people who aren’t
00:23:02 Israelites.
00:23:06 That That’s what it is. It doesn’t
00:23:07 matter if you have the gospel or not.
00:23:09 It’s just Israelites.
00:23:11 Um I I I mean non-Israelites, but once
00:23:15 you become a believer, then you’re
00:23:18 adopted into Israel.
00:23:19 So I guess in a sense, yeah, it is that
00:23:22 spiritually.
00:23:24 Um but physically, it’s just those who
00:23:27 are not of the actual lineage. But like
00:23:30 I brought out before, probably most
00:23:32 people on the whole earth today are
00:23:34 somehow connected to Abraham.
00:23:38 But I maybe not all but pretty close.
00:23:41 Right. So,
00:23:42 and if you’re not connected to Abraham,
00:23:43 it’s a darn sure thing you’re connected
00:23:45 to Noah.
00:23:47 Yes. That’s for sure.
00:23:51 Uh because of the flood, right?
00:23:54 Yeah.
00:23:55 And nobody but those eight on the boat
00:23:59 survived. Nobody. Despite what people
00:24:02 claimed.
00:24:04 So
00:24:07 interesting.
00:24:08 Okay. So back to the sacrament. There’s
00:24:10 this key word with that means everybody
00:24:15 is kneeling, not just those who are
00:24:18 saying the prayers. Okay.
00:24:21 Uh I do know of people that have been
00:24:24 excommunicated from the LDS church for
00:24:27 doing that.
00:24:28 um even when it was in the foyer to try
00:24:31 to be not so
00:24:34 in your face.
00:24:35 Yeah. I was going to say flamboyant, but
00:24:37 that’s basically the same thing, right?
00:24:39 Yep.
00:24:40 Oh. Um,
00:24:42 you know, you know, you know, it’s funny
00:24:43 because the last time I attended an LDS
00:24:47 meeting, I now granted I sat towards the
00:24:50 back, but I I I
00:24:54 got down and knelled in the aisle
00:24:57 during the sacrament prayer.
00:24:59 Yeah. When I go visit, that’s what
00:25:00 Nobody And nobody said a thing to me,
00:25:02 which is funny. I think they’re scared
00:25:05 to cuz you just bring this verse right
00:25:07 here.
00:25:08 Or or it’s in the DNC, too.
00:25:12 Yep.
00:25:12 Yeah.
00:25:13 Let’s get it at DNC. I know it’s 20
00:25:15 20.
00:25:16 I don’t know the verse, but I I can um
00:25:21 Oh,
00:25:23 control F. Oh, God.
00:25:28 Let’s see. Where is it? Yeah,
00:25:32 there we go. He shall kneel with
00:25:34 with the church. Yeah, there it is.
00:25:38 Um,
00:25:39 so yeah, it’s in DNC 20, too.
00:25:43 Oh, thank you. No, give it to me. Thank
00:25:46 you.
00:25:47 Uh, sorry, say that again, Mike.
00:25:48 Oh, somebody else.
00:25:52 Okay. All right. Um,
00:25:55 another thing I think is important to
00:25:57 bring out is the symbolism how bread
00:25:59 goes along with commandments
00:26:02 and wine goes with joy. And I do believe
00:26:06 the order is on purpose of bread than
00:26:09 wine.
00:26:10 And if
00:26:13 on spiritually, we’ll focus on
00:26:15 spiritually first. Um,
00:26:19 if you get joy before the commandments,
00:26:22 you won’t keep the commandments. And so
00:26:24 then you’ll become a drunkard or a
00:26:27 sinner.
00:26:28 Oh, yeah. Okay, I got you.
00:26:30 Uh, now
00:26:32 drink just like if you drink too much
00:26:33 wine without anything to eat.
00:26:36 Yeah.
00:26:38 Oh, you get drunk. All right. Um, I
00:26:41 bread is one of the best absorbers of
00:26:44 wine to make it so you don’t get drunk.
00:26:46 Okay,
00:26:48 there’s other things to do like drink
00:26:50 water, which goes along with Revelation,
00:26:52 but
00:26:53 um, but having bread before the wine
00:26:57 makes it so you feel the effects of the
00:27:02 wine less. Okay?
00:27:06 Uh and so this applies spiritually and
00:27:09 physically
00:27:11 because if you have the commandments
00:27:13 before the joy, you’ll start keeping the
00:27:16 commandments or you’ll keep them even
00:27:18 after you have the joy because you’ll
00:27:20 understand that’s why you have them. If
00:27:22 you think you have joy
00:27:25 before your desire to keep the
00:27:26 commandments, you’re going to
00:27:30 find excuses to sin and thus be a
00:27:33 drunkard. And we and we see that on a
00:27:36 regular basis.
00:27:39 Yes.
00:27:39 It’s almost like for kids or something.
00:27:41 You got to eat your dinner before you
00:27:42 eat dessert or whatever.
00:27:44 Yes. Yes. That is a very good tie there.
00:27:48 Like
00:27:50 I think you have kids, right?
00:27:52 Yeah. Yeah.
00:27:55 I was gonna say
00:27:57 uh I I think another thing to bring out
00:27:59 real quick just going off of quick
00:28:00 memory is oh Elohim or oh God I don’t
00:28:04 like the God translation but I like to
00:28:06 go oh Elohim that’s a plea
00:28:14 please do this right
00:28:17 well that’s further exhibited in we ask
00:28:20 thee
00:28:22 yes and asking goes along with the plea.
00:28:25 Y
00:28:26 and what’s sorry? Go ahead.
00:28:29 Yeah. The O um it can be an expression
00:28:33 of plea. It can also be an expression of
00:28:35 contrition.
00:28:37 What does that word mean? I’m sorry.
00:28:39 And sorrow.
00:28:41 Contrition.
00:28:42 Oh,
00:28:45 like like humility and and and
00:28:49 humility and sorrow. Sorrow for sins
00:28:51 committed or whatever. Okay. So, Ben,
00:28:54 uh, you want to go look up that
00:28:56 definition real quick because I don’t
00:28:58 know how to spell that.
00:29:00 H, you’re good. I’ll I’ll try it.
00:29:06 Literally,
00:29:07 you’re Wait, are you wanting O or
00:29:08 contrition?
00:29:09 I was We could start with O.
00:29:12 Spell.
00:29:13 Okay. All right.
00:29:14 O’s gonna
00:29:16 I don’t know how much that’s going to
00:29:17 do, but yeah, we can try.
00:29:19 It’s a letter.
00:29:21 It’s a letter. Uh, yeah.
00:29:28 So, clearly the people clearly the
00:29:30 people who wrote the 1828 Webster’s
00:29:32 dictionary were not familiar with
00:29:34 Shakespeare in English.
00:29:35 15th
00:29:36 vowel.
00:29:39 They don’t have Torah in there either.
00:29:40 From what I can see, it doesn’t look
00:29:42 like Torah is in the 1828
00:29:44 diction.
00:29:47 An explanation.
00:29:50 expressing a wish.
00:29:51 Well, that goes with what I said, right?
00:29:54 Yeah, it does.
00:29:55 It’s the same. It’s the same. You guys
00:29:58 are basically saying the same thing.
00:29:59 Just
00:30:00 Yeah.
00:30:00 Oh, it doesn’t say mine is more mine.
00:30:03 Mine was more specific to the uh to the
00:30:06 sin and the the fact that he takes our
00:30:09 sin upon us and we take his name upon
00:30:11 us. He takes Well, go look up
00:30:13 contrition. Look up contrition.
00:30:16 Yeah, working on contrition.
00:30:22 The act of grinding or rubbing powder,
00:30:25 penitence, deep sorrow for sin, grief of
00:30:28 heart for having offended an infin and
00:30:31 infinitely holy and benevolent Elohim.
00:30:35 Uh, yep, there you go.
00:30:38 So,
00:30:39 so it is a plea. So, it’s a plea either
00:30:40 way. It’s a plea.
00:30:41 Either way, it’s plea. It’s a plea.
00:30:44 In one instance, it’s a plea for
00:30:46 forgiveness. In another, it’s a
00:30:49 So, just do one look. Oh, I’m not seeing
00:30:52 the word Ben saying, but maybe it goes
00:30:54 along with what he’s saying.
00:30:59 And maybe I you know, it’s okay.
00:31:03 Well, I’m we’re just trying to learn
00:31:05 things. So, do you want Are you doing
00:31:07 that job?
00:31:07 If I’m wrong, all I’m saying is if I’m
00:31:09 wrong, it’s okay.
00:31:11 So, do we want to go back to O? Because
00:31:13 we did O before.
00:31:14 Oh, no. Go one look and then O.
00:31:17 Okay. Oh, one look. Oh,
00:31:19 look. The modern one. Webster’s the an
00:31:24 1828 one.
00:31:28 Uh, don’t do the thesaurus.
00:31:30 Yeah,
00:31:31 just do one look.
00:31:32 I I typed in one look.
00:31:35 Well,
00:31:37 looks whatever.
00:31:41 Well, there’s there is there is
00:31:43 difference.
00:31:43 Oh, go click that top one or that one.
00:31:46 Yeah, it it’s the same link.
00:31:48 Yeah, just take the out of the link once
00:31:50 you get there. So,
00:31:52 get the URL just after the
00:31:58 and just get rid of thesaurus.
00:32:00 Yeah. And go shift end. Shift end.
00:32:02 Uh, yeah. Sorry. Give me a second.
00:32:04 Sorry.
00:32:05 Shift end.
00:32:06 I Okay,
00:32:06 I’m working on it.
00:32:08 Delete. Enter.
00:32:11 And then type O. Anyways, that one’s
00:32:13 obvious. Sorry.
00:32:15 Yeah, I know. I know that
00:32:18 it’s a letter.
00:32:20 Keep telling you it’s a letter.
00:32:27 Uh noun utterance of O
00:32:33 someone assisted associated with late
00:32:36 Orian football club. Okay.
00:32:38 Okay. That’s lovely.
00:32:40 Opium.
00:32:44 Okay. It’s definitely not that slang.
00:32:46 This one’s not helpful.
00:32:48 No. Whoa.
00:32:50 So, if Steven’s it turns out Steven’s
00:32:53 more correct than I am.
00:32:54 Well, definitely in the modern lingo,
00:32:57 but we found out that Webster’s
00:32:59 dictionary did say
00:33:02 that. Oh, does go along with a plea or a
00:33:05 prayer or asking,
00:33:05 right? It doesn’t Yeah, it’s just a
00:33:08 plea.
00:33:09 Yeah. So
00:33:12 uh I I do find that important uh
00:33:16 personally
00:33:18 uh especially when you look at the last
00:33:20 part of the prayer.
00:33:23 Mhm.
00:33:23 Um
00:33:25 that they will keep his commandments
00:33:27 that they may have his spirit to be with
00:33:29 them. Now, um, the commandments is
00:33:34 another way of saying Torah and spirit
00:33:37 behavior and how we’re supposed to
00:33:39 behave.
00:33:40 It’s by
00:33:42 it’s by his Torah.
00:33:44 Yeah. Because it it the Torah defines
00:33:47 what is right and good, thus what we
00:33:50 should be doing, thus behaving, how we
00:33:52 should behave, right?
00:33:54 Yeah. It’s just
00:33:57 in any language, it’s not nice to say
00:33:59 the same thing multiple times close to
00:34:02 each other. It sounds funny. So that’s
00:34:04 why they’re doing it different ways
00:34:05 here.
00:34:06 Mhm.
00:34:07 Um so those are a quick a few quick
00:34:11 ideas about the sacrament for you. Um
00:34:14 oh, another quick one. In both DNC 20
00:34:18 and Roni 5,
00:34:21 it says wine, not water.
00:34:26 there. The Eldius church, Brighgamite
00:34:29 Church, doesn’t even claim a revelation
00:34:31 to change it to water. They just do it.
00:34:37 Which is funny because they’re so
00:34:41 particular about the words being
00:34:43 perfectly except
00:34:45 Well, you saw I don’t I think you saw it
00:34:47 or maybe some other people saw it, but
00:34:49 my whole thing on baptism like the I did
00:34:51 a post about baptism being where they
00:34:54 totally changed the words or whatever,
00:34:55 right? Commission. Yeah. Commissioned
00:34:58 verse Yes. Uhhuh. I did see your post on
00:35:01 that. Yes,
00:35:02 I remember. Right.
00:35:06 It’s having been commissioned versus
00:35:08 having authority.
00:35:09 So, here it is in the Book of Mormon.
00:35:11 Having authority
00:35:14 given me of Yeshua Hamashiach. I baptize
00:35:16 you in the name of father and of the son
00:35:19 of the holy spirit.
00:35:21 So that’s that’s what that’s what we use
00:35:23 when we
00:35:24 ren
00:35:27 what section in the DNC is that one like
00:35:30 covenants 20. It’s in 20 as well.
00:35:32 It’s 20. So I must not know how to spell
00:35:34 commission
00:35:38 it. Oh it’s it’s two M’s. That’s my
00:35:42 problem. There we go. Yeah, it is.
00:35:45 But so that’s the current reition. So
00:35:48 let’s show a page uh I like that will
00:35:53 show the multiple versions.
00:35:55 Oh yes yes yes.
00:36:12 Bring it back up.
00:36:15 So, let’s go get 28. So, this is a nice
00:36:18 site. A DNC compare
00:36:22 28. Oh, what verse number was that?
00:36:25 Oh 73 73 modern. So
00:36:31 and oh it’s in the 1833 the first so 73.
00:36:38 So you can see originally 1833 it was
00:36:41 authority like the Book of Mormon.
00:36:43 Mhm.
00:36:44 Oh yeah.
00:36:46 Well initially like if I remember right
00:36:47 I um yeah here it is. Um, initially they
00:36:50 what do you call like um in their
00:36:52 whatever they had published in the
00:36:54 newspaper it was said just we do it just
00:36:57 like the Book of Mormon.
00:37:00 Yeah. And so I don’t know why it was
00:37:05 changed now
00:37:07 when it is it also is it uh still
00:37:12 I think 1835 it changed. We can double
00:37:14 check.
00:37:14 1835 it changed.
00:37:16 I think so. It’s been a while.
00:37:17 Double check. We’ll double check.
00:37:21 Oh, what verse was it?
00:37:25 Yeah, but that’s 20. I I need the verse
00:37:28 of 1833 to confirm.
00:37:31 Oh, gee, it was like 5 something.
00:37:34 52. Okay. So, I can compare it with 52.
00:37:37 I think it changed in 35, but since we
00:37:40 know it’s 52 on the left, we can use
00:37:43 that to find it.
00:37:44 Yeah, 1835. That’s what I show.
00:37:46 Uh, yeah. So 1835 it changed.
00:37:52 So I don’t believe
00:37:54 Joseph Smith did that because Joseph
00:37:56 Smith was working on the lectures on
00:37:58 faith primarily to put in 1835 which is
00:38:02 why it changed from the book of
00:38:04 commandments
00:38:05 to the book of doctrine and covenants.
00:38:09 Commandments and covenants go together.
00:38:12 They’re universal words. uh you don’t
00:38:15 believe me, we can go to the Old
00:38:16 Testament and bring that out. It’s the
00:38:19 doctrine, the DNC.
00:38:21 I mean, sorry, the on faith is why they
00:38:24 add the word doctrine.
00:38:27 Now, the uh change to commission may be
00:38:30 a reference to the great commission.
00:38:33 Yeah, I I mean I use authority, but when
00:38:36 you go look at that word in 1828, it
00:38:38 does mean authority.
00:38:42 Um, but I still use u
00:38:45 I prefer to use the Book of Mormon
00:38:47 version because
00:38:49 it’s uh there’s less
00:38:54 there’s less changes to the text.
00:38:56 Yeah. So, you can see uh authorities
00:38:58 throughout the definition
00:39:00 authorized to act or perform.
00:39:03 Yeah.
00:39:04 But I still prefer the original.
00:39:07 Um
00:39:07 Yeah. I mean it’s
00:39:10 Yeah.
00:39:11 Yeah.
00:39:12 Speaking of baptism and going with the
00:39:14 sacrament. So I know they changed it
00:39:16 like so before they used to do all these
00:39:18 rebaptisms and stuff and then the church
00:39:21 just substituted that with um
00:39:24 what do you call it? Take the sacrament
00:39:26 every week instead of getting
00:39:26 rebaptized. How does that all work? Do
00:39:28 you guys know?
00:39:29 Uh so baptism is actually the first
00:39:34 covenant. Um,
00:39:37 sacrament is a renewal of your
00:39:39 sacramental covenant,
00:39:42 but so is baptism. Um, even the Book of
00:39:44 Mormon teaches rebaptism, and as Lake
00:39:47 brought out, this page even shows it in
00:39:49 church history
00:39:51 that Joseph Smith even did it for
00:39:54 health,
00:39:55 right?
00:39:55 Yeah. Yeah, I saw that. Yeah.
00:39:57 There’s I’d have to There’s one for Emma
00:40:01 on that. I It’s been a while since I’ve
00:40:03 been here. Now I put re here because
00:40:05 they were baptized before as you can see
00:40:09 above.
00:40:10 Yeah.
00:40:11 I was baptized under the hand. Therefore
00:40:13 I went into the river and was rebaptized
00:40:15 in the hand of Joseph Smith the seer. So
00:40:17 they were baptized.
00:40:18 So the a really interesting verse is in
00:40:21 I believe Alma chapter 5.
00:40:24 Yes. That one’s my favorite one and I
00:40:25 have that up the top.
00:40:28 Uh it’s right there. So go ahead.
00:40:33 All right.
00:40:37 I speak by way of command
00:40:41 unto you who belong to the church.
00:40:43 Okay. So, let’s talk about that real
00:40:45 quick. So, he’s giving a commandment to
00:40:48 those who are members of the church. How
00:40:50 do you become members of the church?
00:40:52 Through baptism.
00:40:53 Okay. All right. Let’s keep that in
00:40:54 mind.
00:40:55 And onto those who do not belong to the
00:40:58 church. I speak by way of invitation.
00:41:01 All right. So, how are you not member of
00:41:03 the church?
00:41:05 You haven’t been baptized.
00:41:07 Let’s keep that in mind.
00:41:10 You haven’t been baptized. Saying, “Come
00:41:13 and be baptized unto repentance.”
00:41:16 Okay. So, I’m going to interrupt again.
00:41:18 So, there’s these two different groups.
00:41:20 One to those who have already been
00:41:22 baptized as a commandment. One, those
00:41:23 who haven’t been baptized, an invitation
00:41:25 to be baptized
00:41:28 onto repentance. Saw that. Yeah, that’s
00:41:31 baptism right there.
00:41:34 Yeah. Under repentance that ye that ye
00:41:38 also may be partakers
00:41:41 of the fruit of the tree of life.
00:41:45 So rebaptism is
00:41:46 so rebaptism is actually necessary
00:41:50 that you may be a partaker of the fruit
00:41:54 of the tree of life. Especially if you
00:41:56 have uh especially if you have uh sinned
00:42:00 against the covenant grievously.
00:42:03 Yeah. So we need to be careful. You only
00:42:06 need to be baptized once. Alma, this
00:42:08 commandment was to a specific group of
00:42:11 people, not everyone on the rebapt to a
00:42:14 specific group of people. Uh the thing
00:42:17 that you have to bear in mind is that
00:42:18 these people have become lax in their in
00:42:22 their keeping of the way.
00:42:24 Me too. Was that because um is wasn’t he
00:42:27 Benadai called them all to repentance
00:42:29 and then Alma’s teaching them? So it’s
00:42:31 probably people that were
00:42:36 Elma preaching to the people of the
00:42:38 land.
00:42:40 Um he he gave up his judgment seat and
00:42:42 went and preached to the people of the
00:42:43 land.
00:42:44 Okay.
00:42:45 Because they had
00:42:46 Yeah. This is Elma the son of
00:42:48 Okay. Yeah.
00:42:49 Alma. So Elma 5 is to I remember
00:42:53 correctly a church that was not really
00:42:56 evil but they got a little lazy.
00:42:59 Yeah.
00:42:59 Basically. Basically.
00:43:01 Yes.
00:43:02 And baptism is to show or maybe better
00:43:06 way of saying to to quote uh Elma 18,
00:43:11 it’s a witness of a covenant that’s
00:43:14 already been made. He wanted them to
00:43:17 show for the the church members that
00:43:20 were being lazy that they have
00:43:21 recommitted
00:43:24 to keeping all of Yahweh’s commandments
00:43:27 which goes along with uh Mosiah 18.
00:43:30 So while rebaptism is not necessarily
00:43:34 required,
00:43:35 it is a good way to recommmit yourself.
00:43:39 Yeah. And I I’ve done it multiple times.
00:43:43 Um some
00:43:45 Some of them are on YouTube, some are
00:43:47 not. But um but this commandment was
00:43:52 given by a servant of Yahw to specific
00:43:55 people. But it does teach that rebaptism
00:43:59 is a good thing.
00:44:03 I’ve never read that before. I never saw
00:44:05 that. Wow, that’s good. Thanks for
00:44:07 So I have my three favorite ones. Next
00:44:09 one’s Moroni 6:1.
00:44:12 Um Josh, you want to read that one?
00:44:15 Sure.
00:44:16 This is the actual verse right there,
00:44:18 right?
00:44:20 Wait. Oh,
00:44:22 the one above it is being talking about.
00:44:24 I was going to say, wait a minute. I’m
00:44:25 reading a I’m reading this is not a
00:44:27 verse. Okay. Yeah. Okay, I got it now.
00:44:30 All right. Um and now I speak concerning
00:44:33 baptism. Behold, elders, priests, and
00:44:36 teachers were baptized.
00:44:38 Okay, let’s let’s pause a minute. So
00:44:42 elders, priests, and teachers are
00:44:44 members of the church, right?
00:44:46 Already. Well, yeah. Yeah.
00:44:48 Yeah. They’re they’re members. They’re
00:44:51 already members, right? That’s how they
00:44:53 become them because then you show forth
00:44:55 the fruits to become them, which
00:44:58 uh if we go look at the church
00:45:00 government page, it shows that though
00:45:02 the members vote them in. It’s different
00:45:05 than what church teaches that they’re
00:45:08 done by inspiration. should know it’s
00:45:10 done by uh vote that word is so much in
00:45:14 the DNC.
00:45:16 And though
00:45:18 go ahead though Elma consecrated the
00:45:20 priests the fact that in the DNC it’s so
00:45:23 clear that we vote on a lot of these
00:45:25 things it is um it it it indicates that
00:45:30 uh he did not select them by necessarily
00:45:33 Yeah. Uh they were voted on first and
00:45:35 you can get that with uh Moses. Moses
00:45:38 was told to select those that the people
00:45:40 respected. And how do you show that?
00:45:42 Vote.
00:45:43 Voting.
00:45:44 H. It’s another way of saying
00:45:46 I support you. Hey, a vote is saying I
00:45:48 support you.
00:45:49 Yeah. Yeah.
00:45:52 Go ahead.
00:45:53 Which is why it’s not a good idea to
00:45:54 vote for the lesser of two evils in a
00:45:56 political sense.
00:45:57 Uh that’s Yeah, that’s a whole another
00:46:00 subject.
00:46:00 Yeah, I was going to say vote for evil
00:46:02 is still a vote for evil, but anyway.
00:46:04 Um, so,
00:46:07 uh, in the DNC,
00:46:09 the only place it says sustain has to do
00:46:12 with, uh, governmental leaders.
00:46:15 Yes.
00:46:16 Never with church leaders. Church
00:46:18 leaders once a ward or a stake. All
00:46:22 right. Sorry, bad habit. Branch. Ward is
00:46:25 nowhere in the DNC. It’s only branch. Um
00:46:29 once a branch is organized
00:46:32 uh things are done by vote, common
00:46:35 consent. Before they’re organized, it
00:46:38 can be done by inspiration, revelation,
00:46:43 right?
00:46:43 But once it’s organized, it’s by the
00:46:45 people. Okay.
00:46:46 Mhm.
00:46:48 I like the second half of this verse
00:46:50 too.
00:46:52 So to get finish this, uh so these guys
00:46:55 were baptized
00:46:58 to have those titles and then they were
00:47:00 baptized after they had those titles,
00:47:04 not before.
00:47:05 Right.
00:47:06 Showing
00:47:08 rebaptism,
00:47:09 right? But the second part of this verse
00:47:12 is just as important.
00:47:14 Yes, it is. Go ahead.
00:47:15 They and they were not baptized.
00:47:19 They they brought forth fruit, meat that
00:47:22 they were worthy of it.
00:47:25 Yeah. as in they’re showing that they
00:47:27 were actually keeping Torah.
00:47:30 Yes.
00:47:30 Which goes along with Mosiah,
00:47:35 I think it’s 27, how Elma the Elder
00:47:40 was bringing out how don’t call anybody
00:47:42 to be your teacher or leader unless
00:47:44 they’re keeping Torah themselves,
00:47:47 which is what? Oh, the contrite heart
00:47:49 and broken spirit. Yeah. Broken heart
00:47:52 and confidence.
00:47:53 Well, th those are attributes of those
00:47:56 are attributes of people who are
00:47:58 repenting which are working on keeping
00:48:00 Torah, right?
00:48:01 Yep. Yep.
00:48:03 So, uh John, you want to read this last
00:48:06 one? Jonah 8:10.
00:48:08 Yeah.
00:48:09 Behold, I say unto you that this thing
00:48:11 shall ye teach, repentance and baptism
00:48:14 unto those who are accountable and
00:48:17 capable of committing sin. Yay.
00:48:20 teach parents that they must repent and
00:48:23 be baptized.
00:48:24 Okay. Okay. Oh, wait, wait a minute. So,
00:48:27 what parent is going to want their kid
00:48:30 baptized?
00:48:33 Probably one that’s been baptized,
00:48:34 right?
00:48:35 Yeah. Yeah.
00:48:36 So, these parents that have been
00:48:38 baptized, they’re being told that they
00:48:40 need to repent and be baptized
00:48:43 so they can be saved at their children
00:48:45 and humble themselves as their little
00:48:47 children.
00:48:49 and they shall all be saved with their
00:48:52 little children.
00:48:54 Yeah. So, here it’s teaching rebaptism.
00:48:58 There’s others in the Book of Mormon,
00:49:01 but unless you know the principle
00:49:05 already, they’re harder to see. Okay,
00:49:08 these three, it’s pretty easy to bring
00:49:11 it out if someone didn’t see it in the
00:49:13 first place. So, that’s why these are my
00:49:14 three favorites with Alma 5 being my
00:49:17 absolute favorite.
00:49:19 Oh, it’s a good one. Yeah,
00:49:20 this is the most obvious there.
00:49:24 Yeah, I’d say so.
00:49:25 Now, you’ll see uh if you look through
00:49:27 here, um Oh, here’s Joseph Smith
00:49:30 teaching it. Now, uh the Brighgami or
00:49:33 Brighgam actually forced
00:49:36 forced people to be ra rebaptized when
00:49:39 they got in uh Utah
00:49:42 because he’s reorganizing the church.
00:49:45 Um, but the way he says it, he doesn’t
00:49:48 deny anybody the ability to be
00:49:50 rebaptized.
00:49:52 So,
00:49:54 trying to make it sound nice, but after
00:49:57 that, once they got their occult temples
00:50:01 up, uh, initially they would be
00:50:03 rebaptized before they went and got
00:50:05 their endowment.
00:50:10 Uh, and I think it was Joseph F. Smith
00:50:13 that stopped that.
00:50:15 Lovely, lovely man.
00:50:17 Well, Joseph F. Smith was trying to uh
00:50:21 make the church look like it was
00:50:24 Christian.
00:50:27 Yeah.
00:50:28 Um anyways, um
00:50:32 that that gets in a big can of worms.
00:50:34 Oh, okay. Rebaptism is a requirement to
00:50:36 enter the temple discontinued in 1893.
00:50:40 was I who was
00:50:41 that’s Joseph Smith.
00:50:42 Okay. So I did remember the the guy for
00:50:45 he did a lot of interesting things. So
00:50:48 anyways so I did remember that
00:50:50 correctly.
00:50:51 A lot of uh what I can tell you is that
00:50:53 a lot of fundamentalists
00:50:56 think of Joseph F. Smith as a traitor.
00:51:01 I can understand that on some aspects.
00:51:05 But he also did a lot of lying to
00:51:06 support polygamy which they love. So
00:51:12 he’s a mixed bag, right? But anyways,
00:51:17 anyways, uh they did it for a long time,
00:51:20 but they stopped because they didn’t
00:51:22 want to look funny to other people.
00:51:25 Yep.
00:51:25 Which goes against the fact that they
00:51:28 claim they don’t change doctrine or
00:51:30 practices because of the pressure of the
00:51:31 world. They do it all the time.
00:51:33 Yep. Yeah.
00:51:35 Oh, and then one um
00:51:38 I don’t have here. I need to move it
00:51:40 over,
00:51:42 but um
00:51:48 non rebaptized
00:51:51 seven times.
00:51:52 Oh yeah. And he got healed. That’s
00:51:54 right. Yeah.
00:51:55 When you go look at the words behind it
00:51:58 in Hebrew,
00:52:00 it’s rebaptism.
00:52:03 Yeah. Yeah. Is it is it related to the
00:52:06 mikvah?
00:52:08 Yeah. Yeah, it was a mikvah. I mean,
00:52:10 that’s the Hebrew word for rebaptism. Um
00:52:13 I I I don’t remember the actual words.
00:52:17 We’d have to go look. But it when you do
00:52:19 look at the Hebrew, it does talk about
00:52:21 it.
00:52:23 It’s a
00:52:24 interesting points to baptism.
00:52:26 Yeah. And he had to go fully under
00:52:30 seven to immerse himself. Yeah, that’s
00:52:32 right. Uh, seven goes along with
00:52:34 perfection or perfectly. He had to do it
00:52:36 with the perfect
00:52:38 um heart before it worked. And it took
00:52:41 him a little while. In fact, even if
00:52:42 those who remember the history, he
00:52:44 didn’t want to do it at first. He’s
00:52:46 like, “This is dumb.”
00:52:47 Oh, he was like, “You insult me.
00:52:51 The rivers in Assyria are greater than
00:52:53 this Jordan. Why can’t I dip in them?”
00:52:56 Yeah. Um, so it was a lot of tests and I
00:53:00 I do believe
00:53:03 it doesn’t say this in scripture. So
00:53:04 this is me saying this. I think it took
00:53:07 him seven times to finally really hit
00:53:09 him to let go and feel truly be broken
00:53:13 heart and contrite heart contrite
00:53:16 spirit.
00:53:16 Contrite spirit. Yeah.
00:53:18 And that’s the and that well you know
00:53:19 the seven is also the number of
00:53:21 completion.
00:53:22 Right. Right. Right. I and I I I did say
00:53:25 that.
00:53:26 Yeah. I I I just I know this is beyond
00:53:29 scriptures. I wonder if it took him that
00:53:32 long to to change to have the change of
00:53:35 heart.
00:53:36 The complete change of heart.
00:53:38 Yeah.
00:53:40 Talking where he was baptized. So he was
00:53:42 in the river. Wasn’t that in the river?
00:53:44 And like Jesus was in the river.
00:53:46 Yeah. It was the same Jordan River.
00:53:48 So what’s that? I’ve heard different
00:53:50 things about that. So being baptized in
00:53:52 a river like where the water’s moving
00:53:54 instead of not
00:53:56 river it doesn’t necessarily have to be
00:53:57 a river but in the scriptures there is
00:54:00 this idea of living water. Living water
00:54:04 is moving water.
00:54:07 Um so I would say a spring a river a
00:54:11 spring and I personally would include a
00:54:13 lake but I I could see why some people
00:54:16 might not but
00:54:17 or on the ocean’s edge you know no big
00:54:19 deal.
00:54:20 Yeah. our ocean’s edge. The ocean is
00:54:22 definitely more
00:54:23 The idea The idea is
00:54:24 definitely moving.
00:54:26 The idea is that the water is moving,
00:54:28 right? Not stagnant,
00:54:31 right? Or whatever.
00:54:33 Yeah. Don’t go don’t go to a marshy pond
00:54:36 and try to do it.
00:54:37 Yeah. Because um that becomes like a
00:54:40 marsh which rep stagnant water actually
00:54:42 starts representing sin.
00:54:46 Uh and it turns into a marsh which or a
00:54:49 swamp which actually does literally
00:54:52 represent despair because of sin.
00:54:56 Yeah. Sin and death.
00:54:57 Oh. Um
00:54:59 and and a lot of people when they get
00:55:01 ins snared by the marsh get pulled down
00:55:04 and destroyed.
00:55:06 Yeah. Yeah. And I I kind of talk about
00:55:08 the swamp and marsh in my uh Joseph
00:55:11 Smith last stream. Um and I I bring it
00:55:14 out from scriptures. it does go along
00:55:16 with desparenc
00:55:19 um and so that’s the reason for living
00:55:21 water
00:55:23 um if you can do it that way it’s best
00:55:26 um I
00:55:28 when
00:55:30 Philip if I’m remembering correctly in
00:55:32 the book of acts um baptized
00:55:36 a unic right when he was
00:55:38 yes
00:55:40 I’m not sure what he got baptized in to
00:55:43 be honest I I’ve heard various theories.
00:55:45 We’d have to maybe
00:55:45 All he says is look here is water.
00:55:49 Yeah. Um it’s not clear what type of
00:55:52 water. I I’m hoping it was living water
00:55:55 and not stagnant dead water, but I uh I
00:55:59 don’t know. Anyways, um I wouldn’t say
00:56:04 that stagnant like water that like in
00:56:07 the font that LDS brigamites use
00:56:10 invalidates it,
00:56:11 but it does kind of take away from the
00:56:13 symbolism. Okay.
00:56:16 Yeah. Well, I agree with you, Stephen,
00:56:18 about the the lake or whatever being
00:56:20 more because if it’s got stuff coming in
00:56:22 and and possibly out and stuff like
00:56:24 where it’s more living than a marsh
00:56:25 where it just sits there or whatever, I
00:56:27 would think a lake would possibly
00:56:29 qualify like if
00:56:30 Yeah, I can see that. Um I guess the
00:56:33 issue is if it’s more of a dead lake,
00:56:35 right?
00:56:36 Yeah. Yeah.
00:56:37 Yeah. So, um because there’s lakes of
00:56:40 both types, right?
00:56:42 Uh, for example, the Great Salt Lake I
00:56:44 would say is a dead lake because nothing
00:56:46 it’s not moving out.
00:56:50 I think the Utah lake is a live lake if
00:56:54 I remember correctly. Um, because it has
00:56:58 things going out if I remember.
00:57:00 Yeah. Uh, Lake Waco is a live lake. It
00:57:03 has an outlet.
00:57:05 Yeah. Um,
00:57:10 so the lakes could be a little more
00:57:13 debatable.
00:57:14 You just have to you just have to know
00:57:15 you just have to know the you just have
00:57:17 to know the lake. Know if there’s an
00:57:18 outlet and an in or an inlet.
00:57:22 Yeah. And there’s a hot springs close to
00:57:25 me. I’ve done it for people and that
00:57:27 counts because moving right.
00:57:30 It’s bubbling up from It’s bubbling up
00:57:31 from underneath.
00:57:33 Yeah. Yeah. And then it’s moving away.
00:57:34 So
00:57:35 yeah, I got I got I got my first
00:57:37 rebaptism in a lake that had a couple of
00:57:41 different outlets. So
00:57:43 yeah,
00:57:44 I said I don’t think stagnant water
00:57:48 uh disqualifies your baptism. Okay, so
00:57:52 how often or how do you know when to be
00:57:54 rebaptized?
00:57:56 Uh whenever you want. Um, so if you ask
00:58:01 one of us to do it, I have questions
00:58:04 that I will ask and specifically it’ll
00:58:07 be ask stuff, the questions from Acts
00:58:10 15, the questions from Moroni 6 and
00:58:16 um, Elma 18.
00:58:18 Yes. But it is mainly going along the
00:58:23 lines without getting specifics that you
00:58:26 believe Yeshua is the promised Messiah
00:58:28 and you are striving to keep his Torah
00:58:30 is basically what it
00:58:32 pretty much.
00:58:33 So
00:58:34 there there are there are more specific
00:58:35 questions in that but that’s the general
00:58:37 gist.
00:58:37 Yeah, that’s a general overview. Um so
00:58:41 um actually you
00:58:45 I I good times are around high holidays
00:58:48 which are three times a year. Um there
00:58:52 is no limit how often you can do it
00:58:55 though if you want to do it every week
00:58:56 that might be a little much but
00:59:00 ultimately it’s between you Yahweh and
00:59:02 who you ask. Okay. Mhm.
00:59:05 Um
00:59:07 but I I don’t think there’s any minimum
00:59:10 or maximum. Well, there is a minimum
00:59:12 once of being bapt.
00:59:16 Yeah, but that’s not rebaptism. So, just
00:59:18 to clarify a little bit. Um but I don’t
00:59:21 think there’s a max. But I would just
00:59:22 say if it’s been a while,
00:59:26 like at least maybe last high holiday or
00:59:28 something
00:59:30 uh and you’re inclined to
00:59:33 find someone who has the
00:59:37 I would encourage it.
00:59:38 Do it.
00:59:38 Yeah. Somebody if somebody if somebody
00:59:41 you know has a valid ironic priesthood,
00:59:44 get a baptism from them.
00:59:45 Do they need to be over a certain age?
00:59:48 Yes. They have to be 25. That’s
00:59:52 Yeah,
00:59:53 they have What was that?
00:59:55 25.
00:59:56 25. Yes.
00:59:57 Where do you get that number from?
01:00:00 Does a person have to be a certain age
01:00:01 to be baptized or rebapt?
01:00:03 Oh, no. Not not to do the baptism.
01:00:06 Yeah.
01:00:06 To be baptized. So, to be baptized is uh
01:00:12 8 Hebrew, which is seven Greek. And when
01:00:15 I say 25, I mean 25 Hebrew, which is 24
01:00:19 Greek. Because Hebrews do inclusive
01:00:22 time, Greeks do exclusive time. As in
01:00:25 like when you’re first born, you’re in
01:00:27 your first year. In Hebrew, in Greek
01:00:31 thought,
01:00:32 you’re you’ve done a full year.
01:00:35 The reason for where you get 25 from is
01:00:38 from the law.
01:00:39 Yeah. at the age that Levites were
01:00:42 allowed to begin their public ministry.
01:00:45 Talk about that. Do you know what? Where
01:00:46 to find that?
01:00:49 Uh I I can find it for you later. I
01:00:52 don’t know if I
01:00:52 Yeah, no worries. Yeah.
01:00:54 Uh let me see if I have it real quick.
01:00:57 If I don’t, I’ll give it to you later.
01:00:59 Yeah, no worries.
01:01:01 Um
01:01:03 I don’t have everything memorized. And I
01:01:06 know it’s in my notes. It’s just where
01:01:08 are my notes?
01:01:10 Yes, he has copious amounts of notes.
01:01:13 Yeah. Yeah,
01:01:14 I might have too many. And Melzdic
01:01:18 priesthood stuff, you need to be 25 to
01:01:20 do them publicly.
01:01:22 I mean, sorry, 30. It ironic priesthood
01:01:26 stuff, which can do baptisms,
01:01:29 right? As defined by Book of Mormon
01:01:33 and DNC 20, if I remember correctly. Um,
01:01:37 you need to be 25 Hebrew.
01:01:42 Uh, and to do the Melzdc stuff within
01:01:45 the church, uh, you need to be 30 Hebrew
01:01:48 or 29 Greek, which actually, a little
01:01:50 tidbit for you, uh, that’s when the
01:01:54 church organization changed because
01:01:57 Joseph Smith was 30 Hebrew.
01:02:00 He could now enact in the church his
01:02:04 Melkazedc priesthood.
01:02:06 Yeah,
01:02:07 he had it before, but he couldn’t use it
01:02:10 publicly within the church.
01:02:14 And so the church structure change
01:02:16 actually happened when Joseph Smith was
01:02:19 old enough to do his MKZDIC priesthood
01:02:22 publicly in the church.
01:02:25 What does that entail?
01:02:28 Uh offices.
01:02:33 And the different offices have different
01:02:36 requirements
01:02:37 responsibilities. Yeah, I guess
01:02:39 requirements different responsibilities.
01:02:41 Yeah. Um that that you can’t. So the
01:02:46 elders church gives ironic and Melzdc
01:02:50 priesthood too early. In fact,
01:02:53 um way way too early.
01:02:56 They they don’t even have the Melzdc
01:02:58 priesthood. Nor do I. Okay.
01:02:59 Well, that’s what I wonder about. Yeah.
01:03:00 Yeah. Cuz I heard that dude.
01:03:01 Uh Melzdic. It is given by the voice not
01:03:05 laying on of hands.
01:03:08 Um erotic priesthood is given by laying
01:03:11 on of hands. So and there’s symbolism
01:03:14 with this. The malesc priesthood is to
01:03:17 be the voice of Yahw. Uh the ironic
01:03:21 priesthood is to be the hands or workers
01:03:24 of Yahw.
01:03:27 Hence the re how they’re given.
01:03:30 Yeah.
01:03:33 Yeah.
01:03:35 Yeah.
01:03:36 Can we uh can we pause?
01:03:38 Yeah. Yeah, I’ll pause.
