Summary
While working on my Torah is the Holy Spirit page came across Ezekiel 20:25-26 which the KJV translates incorrectly. I go over my SJR Ezekiel 20:25-26, which is about the Law of Moses, which are the punishments given that ended at the cross. Ezekiel 20 is talking about the events surrounding the golden calf incident. There are three types of sabbaths, weekly, moonly, and yearly. The counts to Shavuot / Pentecost shows there are new moon days. Shavuot / Pentecost can last three days, just as Yeshua’s visit with the Nephites did after His death and resurrection. Lunar and Solar cycles changed around 700 BC. Statues, commandments and judgements goes along with Torah. Performances and ordinances goes with the Law of Moses. Before the golden calf the lesser priesthood was with all the tribes of Israel. Levites only had that right because they quickly repented. Isaiah 66 and 1 Peter 2 shows the lesser priesthood was restored to all tribes after the cross. Moses was the head of the household and took responsibility for those under his authority, just as Yeshua did. Israel and mixed multitude polluted YHWH’s sabbaths, don’t look to them to know when to keep them. What Moses did because of the golden calf follows the pattern of the Second Coming. YHWH’s judgements are the punishments that are to be enacted when we sin and don’t repent. Looking at the Hebrew for Ezekiel 20:25-26 and explaining my SJR Translation of it. Sadly people use the bad KJV translation of Ezekiel 20:25 to say Torah is bad, the Hebrew says something different. When a judge pronounces a punishment, it is now law for those who it applies to. The Law of Moses had an expiration to it as stated in Numbers 28:1-8 along with it stating when it started. Ezekiel 20:26 brings out how the Israelites and mixed multitude were murdering first born sons during the golden calf incident. Israel and the mix multitude broke four big commandments at the golden calf incident. Law of Carnal commandments is a punishment given because of the sexual sins. Ceremonies are performances. Keeping a punishment will not restore us to eternal life. Coming under Yeshua’s covering and keeping Torah is what will restore us to eternal life, which is repentance. Reading a quote where Joseph Smith uses the word ceremony dealing with the Law of Moses. We are to be doing what was already done, not something brand spanking new. The coming Mighty and Strong One will be purifying the sons of Levi before their offering in righteousness. Prophecies about the Millennium tell us animal sacrifices are coming back. Law of Moses is Torah plus punishments. Joseph Smith did not restore everything as the scriptures state. Torah is every word of Yah that is not a prescribed punishment. Once you accept that Torah and the Law of Moses are two different things, lots of scriptures start making sense that otherwise don’t. Washing the clothes is a Hebrew idiom for baptism. When you read the context of when Israel and the mixed multitude were to wash their clothes, you see the requirements for baptism. Ezekiel 20:25-26 is a tricky subject, I don’t fault the translators for getting this passage wrong. Eternal life, sanctification, is to become like the Messiah not just remembering about Him. When you translate a word from language to another, it is hard to have all the same meanings behind the translated word. The purpose of life is to come under Yeshua’s covering, to keep His Torah, and help others to do the same. Keeping YHWH’s Torah is how we come to know that YHWH is YHWH. People use Ezekiel 20 to say Torah is not good for us, and the SJR translation shows that is not the case. Torah is still valid.

00:00:02 Well,
00:00:04 today Brennan decided to come back.
00:00:07 [laughter]
00:00:08 Um, also,
00:00:11 uh, he humored me and allow me to talk
00:00:13 about a translation I did. Um, so I’ve
00:00:18 been primarily focusing on my uh,
00:00:22 resource page that I’m calling towards
00:00:25 the Holy Spirit. So you can see here I
00:00:28 have some notes and I have a whole bunch
00:00:30 of scriptures listing for different
00:00:32 things. I still have a lot to fill out
00:00:35 but I am trying to show here through
00:00:39 what I know and going through my notes
00:00:42 and whatnot how the Holy Spirit is not a
00:00:46 person
00:00:47 but as in some places it’s called an it.
00:00:51 It’s actually I found it in first Peter
00:00:53 1:11. He calls it an it there too.
00:00:58 Um anyways uh but then using word like
00:01:02 which which goes along with ideas
00:01:05 instead of who and by. Um so anyways
00:01:11 while I was working on that I came
00:01:13 across something using my search tool.
00:01:17 Um I mean just so people can see it. I
00:01:21 don’t remember what the search was, but
00:01:24 okay. Open
00:01:27 just so people can see.
00:01:30 Oh, wait. Let’s make it go to the
00:01:37 Oh, well, I have one that’s already open
00:01:39 that.
00:01:44 So, here’s one that I’ve been working
00:01:47 on. I need to go through with it. But
00:01:49 anyways, um you you type some words, it
00:01:53 gets advanced that you can do. Um
00:01:57 anyways, um
00:02:00 it’s a logic tree. So, uh for those who
00:02:03 know programming,
00:02:05 uh it g you can do ands, ors, I even
00:02:08 have counts. But if you just want to do
00:02:09 something simple, you just do reg x and
00:02:11 a word. Okay. Um, but in that I saw
00:02:16 something in Ezekiel 20 that made no
00:02:20 sense to me because I go through these a
00:02:23 line by line and try to figure it out.
00:02:26 Um, so
00:02:30 uh the verses that did not make sense to
00:02:33 me were Ezekiel 20
00:02:37 25 and 26. Um,
00:02:42 and because they didn’t make sense to
00:02:44 me, I went and read the chapter and then
00:02:46 I looked at the Hebrew underneath. But
00:02:48 anyways, you want to read these uh 256
00:02:52 real quick.
00:02:55 Wherefore I gave them also statutes that
00:02:58 were not good, and judgments whereby
00:03:01 they should not live. and I polluted
00:03:03 them in their own gifts, and that they
00:03:05 caused pass through the fire all that
00:03:07 openth the womb, that I might make them
00:03:10 desolate, to the end, that they might
00:03:12 know that I am Yahweh.
00:03:14 [snorts] Okay, so the part that really
00:03:17 uh got to me is wherefore I gave them
00:03:20 statutes that were not good.
00:03:24 I I mean, that doesn’t sound like
00:03:25 Yahweh, okay? I mean, everything he does
00:03:28 is good, right?
00:03:30 >> Right.
00:03:31 So, uh, we don’t have to read the whole
00:03:33 chapter, but, um,
00:03:37 I mean, take McConny’s summary with a
00:03:39 grain of salt, but it says, “From the
00:03:41 time of their deliverance from Egypt to
00:03:44 the day of Ezekiel.”
00:03:46 So, uh, the people of Israel have
00:03:49 rebelled and failed to keep the
00:03:51 commandments. In the last days, the Lord
00:03:53 will or Yahweh will gather Israel and
00:03:56 restore his gospel covenant. Okay. Um,
00:04:00 so I I if we go through the verses
00:04:04 before I I don’t really want to do too
00:04:07 many. Um, but it talks about how Isa
00:04:12 rebelled. Um, but they rebelled against
00:04:15 me. So this is talking about um during
00:04:19 the time of the Exodus
00:04:23 uh and cast and you cast away every man
00:04:27 the abomination of his eyes. So and they
00:04:30 and defile not yourselves with the idols
00:04:33 of Egypt. So um this also is kind of
00:04:36 going along how they went back to their
00:04:38 old ways that they had when they’re in
00:04:41 Egypt as they were in the wilderness,
00:04:43 right? And in fact, right after they got
00:04:47 delivered,
00:04:49 um, well, not right after because
00:04:52 >> h I I so I have a post
00:04:56 uh shave Pentecost post that counts.
00:05:01 Sorry. um that gets into
00:05:06 the calendar as in because I’m showing
00:05:09 how there’s
00:05:11 uh seven
00:05:13 uh weekly Sabbaths and then 50 days and
00:05:16 how you need both those counts with uh
00:05:20 the lunar Sabbath and new moon days to
00:05:23 work with the 40 days that Moses was up
00:05:27 in the mount because they all converge
00:05:30 on Pentecost, Right.
00:05:32 >> All right.
00:05:33 >> Uh, and in addition, the season of the
00:05:36 year that goes along with it also. Um,
00:05:38 I’ll put a link to that and you can go
00:05:40 read it. Um, but that shows that the day
00:05:44 that they crossed the Red Sea
00:05:48 was the 16th.
00:05:51 So, it was fairly quick.
00:05:55 which
00:05:57 where where they typically put the
00:05:59 Israelites, it means they traveled quite
00:06:02 a bit in 2 days. My only answer to that
00:06:06 is well perhaps the traditional place
00:06:08 where they started is wrong
00:06:12 cuz I I mean that post does have some
00:06:17 uh of my translations in it. Um but
00:06:21 there is a verse I forget where but it’s
00:06:24 in the post that talks about how this is
00:06:27 the day that you crossed um
00:06:31 the Red Sea. So um and it was the 16th
00:06:35 and it’s the only thing that makes all
00:06:36 the counts work. So anyways, um
00:06:40 also another interesting tidbit that I
00:06:42 also talked about how in 3rd Nephi 11
00:06:46 through what is it 26 in LDS
00:06:50 versifications or so it talks about how
00:06:53 Yeshua visited him for 3 days. Well that
00:06:56 goes with Pentecost shovel because it
00:06:58 went during Moses’s day it was three
00:07:00 days
00:07:01 and sometimes it still is. It just
00:07:04 depends on the variations of the moons.
00:07:07 Okay. Um, that’s a whole another subject
00:07:11 where the lunar cycle and the solar
00:07:14 cycle changed around 700 BC. History and
00:07:18 scriptures show that. I I’ll put a link
00:07:21 to that on my page. But anyways, um they
00:07:25 [snorts] wherefore I caused them to go
00:07:26 forth out of the land of Egypt. So, you
00:07:29 know, this is talking about the
00:07:30 deliverance and brought them into the
00:07:32 wilderness.
00:07:34 I gave them statutes and showed them my
00:07:36 judgments. So, uh, statutes, judgments,
00:07:40 and commandments goes along with Torah.
00:07:43 Okay, as a quick review, performances,
00:07:47 uh, and ordinances goes with the law of
00:07:50 Moses or the punishment of primarily the
00:07:53 two daily lamps. Okay. Um there was also
00:07:58 um how only Levites had the ironic
00:08:02 priesthood because of that because
00:08:03 you’ll see um before the golden calf it
00:08:08 was the firstborns of all the tribes
00:08:10 that had the ironic priesthood but it
00:08:13 was given to
00:08:15 Levites because they’re the ones that
00:08:18 repented quickly when Moses came back
00:08:20 down. So anyways, but then is it Isaiah
00:08:25 66 and first Peter
00:08:29 two or something brings out the royal
00:08:31 priesthood, right? So it it got that
00:08:35 punishment went away with the cross with
00:08:38 when Yeshua died on the cross. Okay,
00:08:40 along with circumcism, but anyways, uh
00:08:43 but the house of Israel rebelled against
00:08:45 me in the wilderness. So that’s talking
00:08:47 about, you know, golden calf.
00:08:51 Uh
00:08:55 yeah. Okay. So this is talking about how
00:08:58 Moses talked him out of it so that way
00:09:00 his um his name would not be polluted,
00:09:03 right? And this gets into interesting
00:09:06 thing where a lot of there’s
00:09:07 misunderstandings what Moses did. Moses
00:09:10 took
00:09:12 Moses was the head of the household and
00:09:14 he took authority
00:09:16 which is what Yeshua did. He’s the head
00:09:18 of the household and took authority over
00:09:20 what happened. Okay. Um anyways, we
00:09:24 won’t get into that too much. Uh that
00:09:27 would be another
00:09:29 uh recording. Uh they despised my
00:09:32 judgment. So they they they heard the
00:09:35 Torah
00:09:36 audible, right? And then Moses got it,
00:09:40 broke it, and then he got it again.
00:09:42 Okay. Um, but they they said they would
00:09:45 keep it, but then they despised it. And
00:09:47 so judgments and statues goes with
00:09:49 Torah.
00:09:50 >> And it even brings out how the Jews
00:09:54 pollute the Sabbaths,
00:09:57 which are weekly,
00:09:59 moonly, and yearly. So for those who
00:10:03 want to look to the Jews for when the
00:10:05 Sabbath is, they polluted it.
00:10:11 And on that subject, I have fact, let me
00:10:14 just sidet track real quick.
00:10:18 There’s other verses that shows how they
00:10:20 polluted it, too. So let me get that.
00:10:29 No, I have it. So, Lamentations 2 5-6
00:10:32 shows how
00:10:34 uh Judah uh polluted the Sabbath.
00:10:39 And then Hosea 2:1 brings out how they
00:10:44 uh Israel or the northern kingdom
00:10:46 polluted the Sabbath. And then I have
00:10:48 the ones that in Ezekiel 20 after
00:10:52 um you want to read those real quick,
00:10:54 Brennan?
00:10:56 >> Yeah.
00:10:58 Yeah. Yahweh was as an enemy. He has
00:11:01 swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up
00:11:04 all her palaces. He has destroyed her
00:11:07 strongholds and has increased in the
00:11:09 daughter of Judah mourning and
00:11:11 lamentation.
00:11:12 And
00:11:13 >> now I want to bring out this is because
00:11:14 she’s being wicked, right? Judah,
00:11:18 >> and he has violently taken away his
00:11:20 tabernacle as if it were of a garden. He
00:11:23 has destroyed his places of the
00:11:25 assembly. Yahweh has caused the psalm
00:11:28 feast and Sabbath to be forgotten in
00:11:30 Zion.
00:11:30 >> Oh, wait a minute. They got what? They
00:11:33 forgot,
00:11:35 >> right?
00:11:36 >> Meaning they didn’t keep it, right? Cuz
00:11:38 if you don’t remember it, you’re not
00:11:40 going to keep it,
00:11:41 >> right?
00:11:42 >> So, they they have a resemblance of
00:11:44 these things, but there’s multiple
00:11:47 things that they’re doing wrong. We’ve
00:11:49 talked about it in other recordings.
00:11:52 Um
00:11:54 and e even my um abide new moon day
00:11:59 shows how they’re not keeping the
00:12:00 Sabbath as they used to
00:12:03 even from their own writings. Right? So
00:12:06 anyways,
00:12:09 okay go on.
00:12:11 >> And has despised in the indignation of
00:12:14 his anger the king and the priest.
00:12:18 >> Okay. So, uh, Judah or the southern
00:12:23 kingdom, they broke the Sabbath, which
00:12:25 includes the weekly one. Okay.
00:12:28 >> And then Hosea,
00:12:30 >> I will also cause all her mirth to
00:12:33 cease, her feast days, her new moons,
00:12:36 and her Sabbaths, and all her solemn
00:12:38 feasts.
00:12:39 >> Okay, so the northern kingdom forgot
00:12:41 about the Sabbaths.
00:12:44 So the feast days is the annual the new
00:12:47 moon days or new moons are the new the
00:12:49 moonly Sabbaths and then Sabbaths are
00:12:52 the weekly Sabbaths, right? I mean
00:12:53 that’s pretty obvious
00:12:56 but and then here’s some I added
00:12:58 recently because from Ezekiel 20 cuz I
00:13:00 was reading the chapter because of the
00:13:02 confusion.
00:13:04 All right, so let’s go back.
00:13:10 Okay. Uh I forget where we were but
00:13:12 where oh there Savis. So they polluted
00:13:14 the Sabbath.
00:13:17 Now another was my eye spared them from
00:13:20 destroying them.
00:13:22 So this is talking how Moses decided u
00:13:25 to
00:13:27 be the head and take authority for what
00:13:30 happened. Okay. Now Moses did show
00:13:32 anger. Um and interestingly
00:13:36 uh that incident um follows a pattern of
00:13:40 the second coming including the wrath.
00:13:42 So, we won’t get into that much, but it
00:13:44 it’s there very plainly. Maybe we can do
00:13:47 another recording on that one. Um,
00:13:51 so this is definitely talking about the
00:13:53 golden calf here, right? That’s when
00:13:55 they got spared when Moses was up there,
00:13:58 right?
00:14:00 Uh, but I said on the children in the
00:14:01 wilderness, walk ye not in the statutes
00:14:03 of your fathers, neither observe their
00:14:05 judgments, nor defile yourselves with
00:14:07 their idols. So here’s there he’s saying
00:14:10 don’t do the wickedness of your fathers
00:14:12 right
00:14:13 which they did
00:14:17 right right after they he deliver well
00:14:19 okay maybe not right after but within
00:14:22 months or moons right
00:14:26 um walk in my Torah right statues
00:14:30 judgments are keywords for Torah
00:14:32 uh keep the Sabbaths
00:14:35 it’s not just one singular This is
00:14:38 plural because there’s three different
00:14:40 types and all types all three are a sign
00:14:45 between uh us and Yahweh that we may
00:14:49 know him, right?
00:14:53 The Sabbath is or Sabbaths are a big
00:14:55 deal.
00:14:57 Uh notwithstanding the children rebelled
00:15:00 against Yahweh, right? They didn’t keep
00:15:02 Torah even though they just said they
00:15:04 would. um just before Moses brought up
00:15:07 the mount, right? When they heard the
00:15:08 voice, before they heard the voice, they
00:15:11 said they would keep it, right?
00:15:14 Uh okay. And he withdrew his hand or his
00:15:18 providence from them, right? Because
00:15:20 they weren’t keeping the commandments.
00:15:24 Uh I lifted up my hand unto them in the
00:15:28 wild. Uh scatter them among the
00:15:30 heathens. Okay, so this is where they
00:15:32 get uh dispersed later.
00:15:36 uh because they would not execute my
00:15:38 judgments. So judgments are the
00:15:42 punishments that are stated in Torah.
00:15:45 Okay? Because you’re when when we sin
00:15:50 uh especially against other people and
00:15:52 we don’t resolve it on our own, we then
00:15:54 go to the judges who then make the
00:15:56 judgments, right?
00:16:00 Um according to Yahweh’s word, his
00:16:02 Torah.
00:16:04 uh they hated the statute, polluted the
00:16:07 Sabbath, their eyes or desires were
00:16:10 after their father’s idols, right? Um
00:16:15 okay, so now this is kind of setting up
00:16:18 what was going on during the Exodus and
00:16:21 the golden calf, right?
00:16:25 >> So wherefore I gave unto them statues
00:16:28 that were not good. Okay, that does not
00:16:30 sound like Yahweh. Yahweh only does what
00:16:32 is good. and judgments whereby they
00:16:35 could not live. So something they
00:16:38 couldn’t keep. What
00:16:41 I mean this is a verse how it is
00:16:43 translated the King James. I can see a
00:16:45 lot of people using to justify their I I
00:16:48 I don’t have to be perfect.
00:16:50 >> They they do they do in my experience.
00:16:52 That’s a this is a verse I’ve seen
00:16:54 people use a lot.
00:16:56 >> Oh, okay.
00:16:58 Well, you’re online more than I am,
00:17:00 especially nowadays, right?
00:17:03 Well, uh, I will tell you real quick,
00:17:06 uh, the Hebrew actually does not say
00:17:08 that, and we’ll get in that in a minute.
00:17:10 And we’ll we’ll even look at the Hebrew
00:17:12 Hebrew words underneath to show that.
00:17:15 Okay.
00:17:17 Uh, I polluted them in their own gifts.
00:17:20 So, Yahweh made them bad. No, that’s not
00:17:23 what happened. But that’s how the King
00:17:25 James says it. So, there’s another
00:17:27 reason why people could justify their
00:17:29 wickedness and say, “Yahweh gave it to
00:17:30 me.” Right?
00:17:32 That’s not what happened in that they
00:17:35 caused to pass through the fire that
00:17:37 opened the womb. Okay, so this is um
00:17:40 giving the firstborn child to ball by
00:17:43 burning them, right?
00:17:46 I I mean that that that part doesn’t
00:17:48 need correcting. Some of this other
00:17:50 stuff does though. That I might make
00:17:52 them desolate.
00:17:54 I mean that’s like destroy them. He
00:17:56 didn’t destroy the Israelites.
00:17:58 I I mean they’re uh a group of people
00:18:01 that have survived longer than anybody
00:18:03 else.
00:18:05 So they didn’t go desolate, did they?
00:18:09 >> To the purpose. That’s what and one of
00:18:12 the definitions end is purpose that they
00:18:14 might know that I am Yahweh. Okay. So
00:18:18 anyways, let me keep going. But let’s go
00:18:22 look at what my translation is.
00:18:27 Uh, there we go. It’s working better
00:18:29 this time. It’s more or maybe I’m just
00:18:32 more used to it. So, I’ll read it. Um,
00:18:35 and then we’ll we can go look at the
00:18:37 links and see why I uh did it this way.
00:18:41 Okay. Um, and and there are two reasons.
00:18:45 One is the definition of words. And two,
00:18:49 I know what happened there. This the the
00:18:51 law of Moses and that incident has been
00:18:54 kind of a big deal for me. And the
00:18:58 reason why it’s such a big deal because
00:19:00 it shows that there’s a difference
00:19:02 between Torah and law of Moses, which
00:19:05 clarifies a lot of confusing passages
00:19:08 and whether or not we have to keep the
00:19:09 law or not,
00:19:11 >> right?
00:19:12 >> And [snorts] specifically, it’s just
00:19:14 like which law? a aka punishment.
00:19:17 Because when a judge pronounces a
00:19:20 judgment or a punishment, it’s now law
00:19:24 for the people it applies to because you
00:19:27 have to keep it
00:19:29 until its expiration. Okay? And the law
00:19:32 of Moses had an expiration.
00:19:36 Uh let me just
00:19:39 hold on.
00:19:43 Oh, there we go. Um
00:19:46 so
00:19:48 uh numbers 28 1-8
00:19:52 describes
00:19:54 uh the two daily lambs which is part of
00:19:58 or probably
00:20:01 I I tend to focus on that the most.
00:20:03 Right. Um and it says their due season
00:20:07 which is another way has an expiration.
00:20:10 Okay.
00:20:12 It has an expiration.
00:20:14 It It’s right there where it’s talking
00:20:17 about. It even talks about which was
00:20:19 ordained. And you go look at the word
00:20:21 ordained. It means established or
00:20:24 started, which is um right there. That’s
00:20:29 when it started. Uh among many other
00:20:32 things, but we’re not going to I’ll give
00:20:34 a reference to my law Moses page because
00:20:36 it has a lot more. I’m just trying to
00:20:38 give something quick and brief.
00:20:41 But I’ll read this. Wherefore I, Yahweh,
00:20:44 gave them also ordinances
00:20:47 that were not beneficial
00:20:51 and performances whereby they the per
00:20:55 performances and ordinances aka law of
00:20:57 Moses should not restore them to eternal
00:21:03 life aka sanctification. Okay?
00:21:07 Because it’s a punishment.
00:21:10 I Yahweh
00:21:12 declared and we can look at the prefix.
00:21:15 It’s literally will. But when you’re
00:21:18 declaring something that you will uh
00:21:20 when you’re saying something that goes
00:21:21 against your law, you’re declaring it,
00:21:24 right? So anyways, we look at that in a
00:21:26 minute. declared their uncleanliness in
00:21:30 their sacrificial sacrificial offerings
00:21:34 in that they caused the pass through the
00:21:37 fire murder ball that opened the womb
00:21:40 the first burnb born child
00:21:44 that I Yahweh might make them astonished
00:21:49 to repent and we can look at the word
00:21:51 there’s a lot of these things about
00:21:53 reversal uh in that word the Hebrew
00:21:56 through AD74
00:21:59 in that he’s trying to awe them,
00:22:02 astonish them to want to be like him.
00:22:05 Hence, to repent to the purpose that
00:22:09 they might know that I am Yahweh.
00:22:14 It’s not to get rid of them because that
00:22:16 never happened.
00:22:20 It’s to get them to repent.
00:22:23 So, um, hopefully that makes a lot more
00:22:28 sense than, uh, wherefore I gave them
00:22:31 statues that were not good.
00:22:33 >> Yeah, this this makes way more sense,
00:22:35 I’d say. [laughter]
00:22:39 >> Um, so let’s go to Bible Hub real quick.
00:22:43 So, let me get that up.
00:22:48 Um, let me change my share.
00:22:55 and we can go look at all these words
00:22:58 that I
00:22:59 did.
00:23:02 Ezekiel.
00:23:03 Now, I I was not looking to do this
00:23:06 because I was um doing some studies for
00:23:08 my Torah the Holy Spirit page as in I’m
00:23:12 just trying to be really thorough.
00:23:15 I do read the Bible. That doesn’t mean I
00:23:17 know everybody’s order. There we go. Um,
00:23:21 but when I saw it in the search, I’m
00:23:24 like with the keywords that I don’t
00:23:26 remember I was searching on and it
00:23:28 doesn’t really matter. I’m like that
00:23:30 doesn’t make sense. So that’s why I
00:23:31 started digging more into it.
00:23:37 So we’ll start with 25
00:23:42 and then we’ll go to the interlinear.
00:23:44 So,
00:23:46 uh, the first one is the statutes.
00:23:50 Um, I have it as ordinances and that’s
00:23:53 one of the first the one of the
00:23:55 primaries there. Okay.
00:23:58 >> So, I I mean I mean pick your poison,
00:24:01 right?
00:24:03 Now I will admit there is
00:24:06 some bias to why I picked ordinances
00:24:08 because it goes along with the
00:24:10 performance and ordinances are two key
00:24:12 words that goes with the law of Moses.
00:24:15 Okay.
00:24:16 But I do believe the context that we
00:24:19 briefly looked at before this in Ezekiel
00:24:21 20 supports
00:24:24 the context of when the law of Moses was
00:24:26 given. Right.
00:24:28 >> Right.
00:24:28 >> The golden calf. Um,
00:24:32 and this also brings out something
00:24:36 that is not mentioned there, at least in
00:24:40 Exodus that I recall, because in Exodus
00:24:43 brings out how their sexual sins
00:24:47 right here is bringing out how they were
00:24:50 doing murder of the firstborn sons also,
00:24:55 >> which is
00:24:58 uh goes together And also, this brings
00:25:00 up uh a side subject also maybe that
00:25:05 I’ll do real quick. Um
00:25:09 I want to do it with this page.
00:25:12 Uh so we’re going to go look at this
00:25:14 table here. So uh murder,
00:25:19 right? That that’s an abomination.
00:25:22 Whoredom. Okay.
00:25:24 So is adultery. So we it’s obvious
00:25:28 what’s going what’s stated in Exodus uh
00:25:33 30 or so when Moses came down it it’s
00:25:36 somewhere in that area cuz 32 was where
00:25:40 he gets this he’s told to go up to go
00:25:43 get the second set of the tablets.
00:25:46 So it’s around that area. Okay. We can
00:25:48 find it if we need to. But in in there
00:25:51 it does state that did the sexual they
00:25:54 right. All right.
00:25:56 >> Here in verse 26,
00:26:00 let’s go back to it.
00:26:03 Even without my extra translation,
00:26:06 right?
00:26:08 Um because here I just end that they
00:26:11 caused to pass through the fire murder
00:26:13 to ball
00:26:15 uh that opened the womb the firstborn
00:26:17 child. Right there showing how they’re
00:26:19 murdering their firstborn child to ball
00:26:22 by fire, right?
00:26:26 So let’s go back.
00:26:30 So on the moral part of the ten
00:26:34 commandments, which is the last five,
00:26:36 they committed murder and adultery,
00:26:40 which are both abominations. Right?
00:26:44 Now, we do know that they bowed to a
00:26:47 graven image. Right? That’s pretty
00:26:51 obvious.
00:26:52 And
00:26:55 four that I would say is not as obvious
00:26:58 and not very focused on throughout the
00:27:00 scriptures, they rejected Yahweh’s
00:27:02 commandments that they said that they
00:27:04 would keep
00:27:07 uh
00:27:09 Exodus 18 or 19 or something like that
00:27:12 or maybe or 20 somewhere along those
00:27:14 lines. They said they would keep what
00:27:16 Yahweh would say when just before they
00:27:18 heard his voice in Exodus 20, right?
00:27:23 But they didn’t. So they’re they have
00:27:26 broken
00:27:28 the first two of each five.
00:27:33 >> Now uh you don’t normally hear number
00:27:37 one is talked to as an abomination
00:27:41 but you will hear as with to go with
00:27:43 number six.
00:27:46 I will say it goes along with number
00:27:48 one. They committed all four
00:27:51 abominations in that event,
00:27:55 which is I believe part of the why they
00:28:00 uh got the punishment they did.
00:28:04 I would almost I don’t know for sure
00:28:07 yet, but this is like the mark of Kane
00:28:10 or the uh 666, the mark of the beast.
00:28:15 Take that with a grain of salt, okay?
00:28:18 I’m not 100% sure, but that’s kind of
00:28:21 what I’m leaning towards.
00:28:25 They did all four. Okay.
00:28:29 All right. So, okay. So, we saw
00:28:33 ordinances and I’m ex explaining, right?
00:28:37 Oh. Um,
00:28:40 let’s go look at just so we can see.
00:28:48 Do I have it here?
00:28:56 Oh, yeah. Exodus 34 is has a Joseph
00:29:00 Smith translation or inspired version,
00:29:02 right? Or new translation as Yahweh
00:29:05 called it that uh the law of carnal. And
00:29:10 carnal, interestingly enough, in fact,
00:29:13 let’s go look at that definition. And it
00:29:14 deals with sex and murder.
00:29:19 So after seeing this verse, I actually
00:29:21 think it deals with both. So let’s go.
00:29:25 18
00:29:27 28
00:29:30 carnal.
00:29:35 Uh oh. Car. No, I want carninal.
00:29:41 Okay. Uh,
00:29:46 I think I spelled it wrong.
00:29:48 Hold on. Sorry.
00:29:54 Okay. Pertaining to the flesh sensual.
00:29:58 So that’s with the sexual
00:30:00 being in natural state unregarded
00:30:03 pertaining to the ceremonial law as in
00:30:05 the um law of Moses as over here in the
00:30:11 in the new translation it brings out the
00:30:14 carnal law in other places it does also
00:30:16 as is does Hebrews 9:10 which people
00:30:20 don’t know how to read it right
00:30:23 >> uh lustful induous given to sensential
00:30:27 indulgences.
00:30:30 Now, um I must be remembering wrong, but
00:30:33 I would say
00:30:37 and then the sexual intercourse.
00:30:41 Uh for some reason, I thought it dealt
00:30:42 with the murder, too. But right now, I
00:30:45 looks like I remembered wrong.
00:30:53 Yeah, it looks like I remember wrong cuz
00:30:54 this is all sexual. All every single one
00:30:56 of these, right?
00:30:58 >> Yeah.
00:30:59 >> Other than three, but the three I think
00:31:01 is a confusion about
00:31:06 what uh Hebrews 9:10 is referring to. So
00:31:09 anyways,
00:31:12 well, maybe natural state
00:31:15 could be the
00:31:18 murder. Let’s see. Hold on.
00:31:24 It’s not uh well that has to do with the
00:31:27 flesh and listening to the flesh which
00:31:29 goes along with murder. So anyways um it
00:31:31 does look like I might have remembered
00:31:33 wrong but there might be some leeway but
00:31:35 either way it it’s not a big deal. Um as
00:31:39 in but I do believe from what we’re
00:31:41 getting from even the non
00:31:46 SJR translation or [laughter]
00:31:49 translation those are my initials. Um,
00:31:52 it does bring out how there’s four of
00:31:57 the abominations, right? All four of
00:31:59 them.
00:32:02 So, let’s go back.
00:32:07 So, and then the other one here in the
00:32:10 interlinear they say ordinances, but
00:32:12 let’s go see what it looks like in
00:32:15 Hebrew because this is where I do
00:32:17 performances. Now I will admit it
00:32:21 doesn’t have performances directly.
00:32:24 Okay? But King James does go along with
00:32:27 ceremony.
00:32:31 >> Ceremony is a performance,
00:32:34 >> right?
00:32:35 >> So I I am I am being open and honest
00:32:39 about my bias here. Okay? because of
00:32:42 what I know about what happened during
00:32:44 that and what it’s called in other
00:32:47 places of performances and ordinances
00:32:50 because of the ceremony.
00:32:54 Ceremony and performances go together.
00:32:56 So, I went with performance. Okay. I I
00:33:00 could understand why maybe ceremony
00:33:02 might be better, but to have a stronger
00:33:06 tie, I decided to go with performances.
00:33:11 Okay.
00:33:14 So, um,
00:33:18 oh, and not live. So, here we need Let’s
00:33:23 go look at live that they could not
00:33:25 live, but I mean there’s some liberties
00:33:27 there, but let’s go look at the live
00:33:29 because there’s the not this other stuff
00:33:33 is kind of added here and we can look at
00:33:35 that. But anyways, but the big thing is
00:33:37 this live,
00:33:40 restore to life.
00:33:46 And one of the main definitions, restore
00:33:48 to life.
00:33:50 This punishment was not to restore them
00:33:53 to life.
00:33:56 What restores us to life, aka eternal
00:33:59 life, is keeping Torah.
00:34:05 Now, receiving a punishment is a law for
00:34:08 the group that it applies to,
00:34:12 but that does not make them more like
00:34:15 Yeshua.
00:34:16 Eternal life is to know Yeshua
00:34:21 intimately.
00:34:23 And to do be able to know him
00:34:25 intimately, you have to imitate him. So
00:34:28 that way you can understand what he
00:34:30 thinks.
00:34:35 And without that or and why he thinks
00:34:37 and the reason why he’s doing things
00:34:39 which is Torah. Okay. Um and if you’re
00:34:42 keeping Torah, you have eternal life.
00:34:46 >> Mhm.
00:34:47 >> So that’s why I I put in the glyph
00:34:50 eternal
00:34:52 to try to bring that out because
00:34:53 throughout the scriptures sometimes
00:34:55 they’ll just it is common just to say
00:34:57 life when they mean eternal life, right?
00:34:59 And this is where you have to
00:35:03 understand the scriptures in the context
00:35:05 enough, right?
00:35:07 >> And and one one thing I’d like to add
00:35:09 that goes with your uh translation of
00:35:12 the the word before that is that uh when
00:35:16 Joseph Smith uh discussed the law of
00:35:19 Moses uh when he was talking about
00:35:22 animal sacrifices being reinstated, he
00:35:25 he also used the word ceremony to refer
00:35:27 to it.
00:35:29 >> Oh, I don’t remember that. Let’s go find
00:35:30 that real quick. So, I’m going to pause
00:35:32 for a second. I forgot about that. So,
00:35:35 that’s good that you brought that up.
00:35:39 Okay. So, we found the quote. It’s on my
00:35:41 law Moses page. I have a lot of um
00:35:46 quotes from Joseph Smith
00:35:48 regarding this. Um I think there’s like
00:35:53 seven or nine. Anyways, I I found the
00:35:55 one that uh Brennan uh is talking about.
00:35:59 So, first of all, let’s go here where it
00:36:02 says ordinances, but I here King James
00:36:05 said ceremony where I did performances,
00:36:09 but um Brendan remembered this quote
00:36:12 says ceremony since he remembered it.
00:36:15 I’ll let him read it. Um it’s down at
00:36:19 later in the bottom of it. Uh but so
00:36:23 it’s a little long quote but it’s it’s
00:36:25 important to have it all right
00:36:28 >> now. The purpose in himself in the
00:36:31 winding up scene of the last
00:36:32 dispensation is that all things
00:36:35 pertaining to that dispensation
00:36:37 should be conducted precisely in
00:36:39 accordance with the preceding
00:36:40 dispensations.
00:36:42 And again Elohim purposed in himself
00:36:44 that there should not be an eternal
00:36:46 fullness until every dispensation should
00:36:48 be fulfilled and gathered together in
00:36:51 one. Therefore, he set the ordinances to
00:36:53 be the same forever and ever.
00:36:56 Thus, we behold the keys of this
00:36:58 priesthood.
00:36:58 >> Wait, wait a minute.
00:37:02 >> So, ordinances or ceremonies, right? Or
00:37:06 laws. Um,
00:37:09 same
00:37:11 forever.
00:37:13 >> Mhm.
00:37:14 >> So, they they haven’t changed, huh?
00:37:16 >> No.
00:37:17 >> Okay. All right.
00:37:20 Uh, thus we behold the keys of this
00:37:22 priesthood consisted in obtaining the
00:37:24 voice of Yahweh, that he talked with
00:37:27 Noah in a familiar and friendly manner,
00:37:30 that he continued to him the keys, the
00:37:32 covenants, the power, and the glory with
00:37:34 which he blessed Adam at the beginning,
00:37:37 and the offering of sacrifice, which
00:37:39 also shall be continued at the last.
00:37:41 >> Wait, wait, wait.
00:37:43 Offerings of sacrifice shall be. Now,
00:37:46 you’ll see later down this is talking
00:37:47 about animal sacrifices. It gets more
00:37:50 obvious.
00:37:51 >> Mhm.
00:37:52 >> Um, so I should probably add a glyph,
00:37:53 but anyways,
00:37:55 >> and specifically the the Torah
00:37:58 sacrifices.
00:37:59 >> Yeah. The the Torah animal sacrifices,
00:38:02 not the law of Moses animal sacrifices,
00:38:04 which is the two daily lambs. Right. So
00:38:08 >> which also shall be continued at the
00:38:11 last time for all the ordinances
00:38:13 >> or last dispensation just to go along
00:38:17 with the context above. Right?
00:38:19 >> For all the ordinances and duties that
00:38:22 ever have been required by the
00:38:24 priesthood under the directions and
00:38:26 commandments of the Almighty in any of
00:38:28 the dispensations shall all be had in
00:38:31 the last dispensation.
00:38:33 >> Okay. So wait wait wait a minute. So,
00:38:34 we’re not doing something brand spanking
00:38:37 new. We’re supposed to be doing the
00:38:38 things that we’re already done.
00:38:40 >> We’re supposed to be.
00:38:42 >> Yeah. Or we will. Time’s coming. I I I
00:38:46 think it’s Anyways, I’m not going to get
00:38:48 into timing. I think it’s soon, but soon
00:38:52 is relative when you go look through the
00:38:55 scriptures, but I mean it’s too soon.
00:38:58 Anyways,
00:39:01 >> therefore, all things had under the
00:39:03 authority of the priesthood at any
00:39:05 former period shall be had again,
00:39:07 bringing to pass the restoration spoken
00:39:10 of by the mouth of all the holy
00:39:12 prophets. Then shall all the sons of
00:39:15 Levi offer an acceptable offering to
00:39:17 Yahweh.
00:39:20 >> And that’s going to be in the third
00:39:21 temple. Right.
00:39:22 >> Right.
00:39:23 uh quoting Malachi, “And he shall sit as
00:39:27 a refiner and purifier of silver, and he
00:39:29 shall purify the sons of Levi and purge
00:39:32 them as gold and silver that they may
00:39:33 offer unto Yahweh.”
00:39:36 So FYI, um I don’t have it here, but I
00:39:40 do have this in my
00:39:43 important coming dates post that him
00:39:47 that’s doing the purifying is the coming
00:39:49 mighty and strong one. Okay.
00:39:52 It is generally supposed that sacrifice
00:39:55 was entirely done away with when the
00:39:58 great
00:39:58 >> Okay, so click off. Um,
00:40:02 this is animal sacrifices talking about
00:40:05 here, not just
00:40:07 giving up a truck or something. Okay,
00:40:10 this is animal sacrifice.
00:40:12 Um, because I I don’t think anybody
00:40:15 thinks tithing’s done away with and
00:40:17 that’s well, okay, some people do, but
00:40:19 not in the restoration. Okay. Other
00:40:23 Christian denominations do,
00:40:26 but uh that hasn’t been done away with.
00:40:28 And that’s a sacrifice.
00:40:31 >> This is specifically talking about
00:40:33 animal sacrifice. Okay.
00:40:35 >> All right. The sacrifice.
00:40:37 >> I’m sorry. I I that was a boo boo. My
00:40:41 bad.
00:40:42 uh when the great sacrifice, the
00:40:44 sacrifice of the Lord Jesus was offered
00:40:47 up and that there will be no necessity
00:40:49 for the ordinance of sacrifice in the
00:40:51 future. But those who assert this are
00:40:54 certainly not acquainted with the
00:40:56 duties, privileges, and authority of the
00:40:59 priesthood or with the prophets.
00:41:01 >> Okay, so this Joseph Smith is stating
00:41:03 that if you think animal sacrifice is
00:41:05 completely done away with, you don’t
00:41:07 know the scriptures,
00:41:09 >> right?
00:41:11 And uh my Torah in the millennium page
00:41:17 uh has
00:41:20 under the second division of Torah or
00:41:22 second commandment.
00:41:24 It has a lot on animal sacrifices in
00:41:28 prophecy. Okay. About the millennium. So
00:41:31 you can see most of them are in Ezekiel
00:41:35 uh 40 and after. But there are other
00:41:38 places also. Okay, including Isaiah that
00:41:42 people love to still study and say is
00:41:44 valid. Okay, and Psalms. Okay.
00:41:49 Uh and then Daniel has some Zechariah,
00:41:53 Malachi 3, Nephi, the Doctrine Covenants
00:41:56 has lectures on faith by Joseph Smith
00:42:00 and then some other Joseph Smith quotes.
00:42:02 Okay, it it it’s coming back and it’s
00:42:05 the mighty strong one that’s bringing
00:42:07 it.
00:42:09 the the offering of sacrifice has ever
00:42:13 been connected and forms a part of the
00:42:15 duties of the priesthood. It began with
00:42:17 the priesthood and will be continued
00:42:19 until after the coming of the Messiah
00:42:22 from generation to generation.
00:42:23 >> Okay. So this is a second coming of the
00:42:26 Messiah as I have in the notes Adam.
00:42:29 Okay.
00:42:31 We
00:42:32 frequently have made me mention have
00:42:36 mentioned made of the offering of
00:42:37 sacrifice by the servants of the most
00:42:39 high in ancient days prior to the law of
00:42:42 Moses.
00:42:43 >> Okay, so this is a big deal here prior
00:42:45 to the law of Moses. So this gets into
00:42:48 where there’s a difference between
00:42:50 Torah, the eternal law, and the law of
00:42:53 Moses, which is the punishments plus
00:42:57 Torah. Okay?
00:42:59 and Exodus 34 gets into that. But
00:43:03 anyways, that’s we don’t want to
00:43:05 sidetrack too much.
00:43:07 >> Which which ordinances will be continued
00:43:09 when the priesthood is restored with all
00:43:11 its authority, power, and blessings.
00:43:14 >> Okay, so this is bringing out how not
00:43:16 the whole priest has been restored yet.
00:43:20 >> And I forget the verse, but uh 1 Nephi
00:43:24 13 brings out how Joseph Smith restored
00:43:27 much, not all. Okay,
00:43:30 >> which actually goes against the Doctrine
00:43:32 Covenants 132. I have a post on that I
00:43:35 can link. Um, so anyways,
00:43:38 >> these sacrifices as well as every
00:43:41 ordinance belonging to the priesthood
00:43:43 will when the temple of Yahweh shall be
00:43:45 built and the
00:43:47 >> So this is talking about the third one
00:43:48 that will be in Independence, Missouri.
00:43:50 Okay.
00:43:50 >> Right. and the sons of Levi be purified,
00:43:54 be fully restored, and attended to in
00:43:56 all their powers, ramifications, and
00:43:58 blessings. Yes.
00:44:00 >> So on this point, there are
00:44:03 um promises in the Old Testament because
00:44:06 of the faithfulness of I forget the
00:44:09 name, but one of the high priests that
00:44:12 his line will have some special
00:44:14 privileges in the third temple, but
00:44:17 there will be firstborns in all tribes
00:44:21 serving in the third temple. Okay?
00:44:26 this ever did and ever will exist when
00:44:29 the powers of the Melzdc priesthood are
00:44:31 sufficiently manifest. Else how can the
00:44:34 restitution of all things spoken of by
00:44:36 the holy prophets be brought to pass.
00:44:39 Okay, so this all things is Torah. Okay,
00:44:44 because these offerings for one are
00:44:47 defined in Torah that’s going to be
00:44:49 happening again. So this is an another
00:44:51 example how Torah
00:44:54 is all things. Now we have to take
00:44:56 context into account but he they’re
00:44:58 talking about the animal sacrifices that
00:45:01 are defined in Torah which you can find
00:45:05 in the five books of Moses. The five
00:45:08 books of Moses has a consecration.
00:45:12 That’s not what um
00:45:16 a condensed version or
00:45:19 condensedness of other scriptures of the
00:45:23 laws, commandments, and judgments or
00:45:26 ordinances of Yahweh.
00:45:29 Um but it’s not the only place. Okay?
00:45:32 And we can get and I’ve done it before.
00:45:35 Yeshua quotes Psalms and says it’s the
00:45:39 law. Peter quotes I think Isaiah and
00:45:44 calls it the law. So it it’s Deuteronomy
00:45:47 brings out how every word of Yahweh is
00:45:49 the law. So does the DNC
00:45:52 and Yahweh in the desert uh during his
00:45:55 40-day fast and temptation says we need
00:45:58 to live by every word of Yahw.
00:46:01 It’s not just some of it, all of it.
00:46:04 which I define Torah and I would say
00:46:07 scriptures support me in this. It’s
00:46:09 every word of Yahw that is not a
00:46:11 prescribed punishment such as law of
00:46:14 Moses that was a prescribed punishment.
00:46:16 Okay. Anyways,
00:46:18 >> it is not to be understood that the law
00:46:20 of Moses will be established again with
00:46:23 all its rights.
00:46:24 >> Okay. Wait a minute. Law of Moses will
00:46:26 not be established again. So that is
00:46:31 primarily the two daily lamps.
00:46:34 >> Right?
00:46:35 >> Now I will also say it was priesthood or
00:46:39 the ironic priesthood only to
00:46:43 uh Levi and then it included
00:46:46 circumcision which started as a
00:46:48 punishment with Abraham which uh Joseph
00:46:51 Smith translation Genesis 17 if I
00:46:54 remember correctly brings that out. Uh,
00:46:57 but that’s another sidetrack so we’re
00:46:58 not going to get there. But I think it’s
00:47:01 17. Anyways,
00:47:03 >> not to be understood that the law of
00:47:05 Moses will be established again with all
00:47:08 its rights and variety of ceremonies.
00:47:10 >> Oh, there’s the word that we care about.
00:47:13 Right.
00:47:14 >> Right.
00:47:15 >> Where I I did performances
00:47:18 and maybe maybe I should go with
00:47:19 ceremonies, but I’m because here’s King
00:47:22 James saying ceremony. I’m still more
00:47:25 inclined to do performances
00:47:28 >> um just because of my own biases because
00:47:30 that’s generally how it’s talked about
00:47:32 throughout the scriptures is ordinance
00:47:34 performances and ordinances but ceremony
00:47:38 is valid here it is in the in the actual
00:47:41 definitions with the King James and a
00:47:44 quote from Joseph Smith right but we
00:47:46 should finish the quote
00:47:49 >> this has never been spoken of by the
00:47:51 prophets but those things which existed
00:47:54 prior to Moses’s day, namely sacrifice
00:47:57 will be continued.
00:47:59 >> Okay, so Torah, the sacrifices in Torah
00:48:03 that existed before uh Mount Si will
00:48:07 continue.
00:48:09 >> Now Paul has a quote,
00:48:13 I think it’s Colossians, about 430 years
00:48:17 since Abraham, something will change.
00:48:20 That’s what it’s talking about. That’s
00:48:22 430 years is when the law after Abraham
00:48:25 from that dream is when um law of Moses
00:48:30 was established which I just showed with
00:48:32 uh was numbers 28. Let’s go look real
00:48:35 quick. Right
00:48:42 right there established
00:48:46 hasn’t due season has an expiration.
00:48:50 This all fits. I
00:48:54 If you’re willing to get past the part
00:48:56 how no one else teaches this
00:48:59 and it’s weird and different,
00:49:03 all the points work together. Okay?
00:49:07 >> Right?
00:49:08 >> Even this translation that we’re
00:49:09 sidetracked from right now, but it it
00:49:12 all fits. This is not something I’m just
00:49:14 making up. It’s actually something
00:49:15 Yahweh taught me. And then one day he
00:49:19 told me um stop thinking I’m not good
00:49:22 enough and just start teaching it. So I
00:49:24 I did and I did a page that needs some
00:49:27 updating [laughter]
00:49:29 but it’s got the majority of it anyways.
00:49:31 So anyways
00:49:34 >> uh if it it may be asked by some what
00:49:39 necessity for sacrifice since the great
00:49:42 sacrifice was offered
00:49:44 >> aka the atonement. Right. So we’re
00:49:47 clear.
00:49:47 >> An answer to which if repentance,
00:49:50 baptism, and faith existed prior to the
00:49:52 days of Christ, what necessity for them
00:49:55 since that time.
00:49:56 >> Yeah.
00:49:59 So, and you can see baptism in Torah if
00:50:02 you know what to look for. It’s called
00:50:04 uh they use an idiom called washing
00:50:07 their clothes.
00:50:09 Okay? But when you go look at that just
00:50:11 before uh Exodus 20 so 18 or 19 sorry I
00:50:16 don’t forget the exact
00:50:18 chapter
00:50:20 uh you go look at the context what’s
00:50:21 going on it’s the requirements for
00:50:23 baptism
00:50:27 baptism
00:50:29 when you go put your clothes in water
00:50:33 it’s like washing but more it’s along
00:50:36 how they’re washing their covering ing
00:50:39 or now coming under the Yeshua the
00:50:42 Messiah.
00:50:44 So anyways,
00:50:46 but Joseph Smith does pose a good
00:50:50 question there.
00:50:52 If bapt repentance, baptism of faith
00:50:55 existed prior to the days of Yeshua,
00:50:58 if one part went away, why not another
00:51:00 part in in people’s
00:51:04 way of thinking, right?
00:51:09 So let’s go back.
00:51:12 So this was to go along with here in the
00:51:17 interlinear in this interlinear they say
00:51:19 ordinances but in the king James
00:51:24 uh I think they said judgment.
00:51:30 So this some also shows how translators
00:51:34 don’t. Yeah. So, King James is
00:51:36 judgments. The interlinear on Bible hub
00:51:38 is ordinances. They don’t agree, right?
00:51:43 Which this is a tricky subject. Okay.
00:51:47 So, I I I actually I do think some
00:51:51 translations were nefarious. I don’t
00:51:54 think this one was. I think this is one
00:51:57 that they honestly did not understand.
00:52:03 I I
00:52:05 only understand it because Yahweh taught
00:52:06 it to me. And then I started seeing it
00:52:08 in the Book of Mormon and quotes from
00:52:11 Joseph Smith, the DNC, the Joseph Smith
00:52:15 translation, and the Old Testament,
00:52:17 including Daniel 9, which is a whole
00:52:19 another subject. But
00:52:22 um
00:52:24 but performances and ordinances goes
00:52:26 along with lawm all over the place.
00:52:30 The actual word is ceremony, but Joseph
00:52:34 Smith used that word which helps I thank
00:52:38 you for bringing that up, Brandon. I
00:52:39 forgot about that. But that helps give
00:52:42 support for my translation there, right?
00:52:48 >> Here because it is a ceremony there it
00:52:51 it’s the killing of the two daily lambs.
00:52:54 That’s what it’s talking about. Um okay
00:52:58 whereby the performances and organs
00:53:00 should not live. Okay. So there’s
00:53:03 Oh, and I think we talked about the
00:53:05 restored to life where I brought talked
00:53:08 about how it’s eternal life. fits the
00:53:10 purpose, right? And how
00:53:14 um in Elma 34, we can go look at brings
00:53:18 out how
00:53:22 this was to bring them in remembrance of
00:53:25 the Messiah, but doesn’t really sanctify
00:53:27 them because sanctification is becoming
00:53:29 like him, not just remembering about
00:53:33 him, right? And I think that’s Elma 34
00:53:36 we can look at later. Um but first I
00:53:41 want to kind of go over these words.
00:53:44 Uh the next one is uh the prefix that I
00:53:49 have.
00:53:51 So well first of all let’s go look at
00:53:55 the next verse
00:53:58 and I Yahweh made them unclean. Yahweh
00:54:01 does not make people unclean. Okay.
00:54:05 So
00:54:07 um
00:54:11 they did get unclean. So when you go
00:54:14 look at this we have unclean.
00:54:17 Now we have the three Hebrew letters.
00:54:19 Okay.
00:54:21 Now we go back here. We see there is um
00:54:26 prefixes. Okay. There’s actually two.
00:54:31 Uh,
00:54:33 the one I want to focus on is the wield.
00:54:38 Uh, let’s see.
00:54:44 It’s this guy right here.
00:54:47 And you can see it right there. Okay. It
00:54:50 does say I I will. Okay. Literally, it
00:54:53 says I will. But, uh, when you look at
00:54:57 the context,
00:54:59 it goes against his will. So it’s he
00:55:02 declared it. I willed. So he wills. What
00:55:06 goes against his Torah makes people
00:55:08 unclean or sinners, right? So he didn’t
00:55:12 want it to happen. He declared that it
00:55:14 happened.
00:55:16 Okay.
00:55:18 Um and then the uncleanness is the same.
00:55:23 And then the next one.
00:55:29 Okay. uh gifts.
00:55:33 So that’s this one.
00:55:35 >> Um
00:55:39 uh sacrificial offerings. It’s uh
00:55:42 definition number two.
00:55:46 Now, this is going along with what just
00:55:48 uh the next sentence that doesn’t need a
00:55:52 re-ransation
00:55:53 about how they offered their firstborn
00:55:58 children to Bal. Okay,
00:56:02 so here’s the one that we’re just
00:56:04 talking about that I re translate to
00:56:06 sacrificial offerings, which I mean you
00:56:09 could do gifts. I mean, that’s not
00:56:11 horrible, but I do think uh especially
00:56:14 with the context of what they just said
00:56:16 happened after
00:56:18 that’s a sacrificial offering. I mean,
00:56:21 an incorrect one cuz you that’s murder
00:56:25 according to Torah, but when you go look
00:56:28 at pagan worship, especially Tabal,
00:56:32 they did that, right?
00:56:36 um that I that I Yahweh might make them
00:56:41 desolate. Now, I don’t like that because
00:56:43 that mean they’re going away and whatnot
00:56:45 and that’s that it’s not what he
00:56:48 promised to the fathers or Abraham,
00:56:51 Isaac, and Jacob and before, right? And
00:56:53 others including Lehi
00:56:56 and Nephi and others, right? So, let’s
00:57:00 go look at the desolate
00:57:06 astonished. Okay, which is what I put
00:57:09 but in gliss to repent.
00:57:12 I am going to come down here.
00:57:20 So abandonment of desolation as in they
00:57:24 repent and then also promise of reversal
00:57:26 and restoration.
00:57:28 Um which goes along with the last part
00:57:32 of verse 25, right?
00:57:38 The purpose that they might know that I
00:57:40 am Yahweh.
00:57:43 that’s reversing come back to me
00:57:47 uh and no longer be desolated or be in
00:57:51 that horrible state which I translated
00:57:54 as astonished but
00:57:58 um when you translate something from one
00:58:01 language to another it’s hard to have
00:58:04 all the meanings behind it. You do lose
00:58:09 some. That’s just how it is.
00:58:14 And so
00:58:16 different people may focus on different
00:58:20 parts that you want to bring out from
00:58:22 the translation. Right? So desolate
00:58:26 uh maybe not be the worst, but I I
00:58:29 personally don’t think it’s the best
00:58:31 because the way I look at and I even
00:58:33 believe Elma 34 talks about it is to
00:58:35 cause them to repent to return to
00:58:38 Yahweh.
00:58:39 That’s the reason for that punishment.
00:58:43 In fact, that’s the purpose of life that
00:58:47 you see throughout the scriptures,
00:58:49 right? Fact here.
00:58:58 Oops. Am I doing equal?
00:59:02 Um, throughout the scriptures,
00:59:05 test men to see if they’ll do what
00:59:07 they’re asked. Right. Here it is in
00:59:10 Exodus. Now I Yahweh, thy Elohim, which
00:59:14 have brought thee out of the land of
00:59:15 Egypt, wickedness, out of the house of
00:59:17 bondage, sentes, that thou shalt have no
00:59:19 other judges before me.
00:59:22 Uh which goes along how you you will
00:59:25 keep his judgments and commandments.
00:59:28 You’ll do the things the way he wants.
00:59:30 Hence,
00:59:32 not be sin, right? Keep his
00:59:35 commandments. Thou shalt not hate thy
00:59:36 brother.
00:59:39 Uh, thou shalt love the Lord with all
00:59:41 thy heart, heart, mind, and strength.
00:59:43 So, that’s not new. People say that’s
00:59:45 new in the New Testament. Nope.
00:59:47 Uh, shall keep the testimony
00:59:51 Torah.
00:59:53 So, um, the ark of testimony is one of
00:59:57 the names of the ark of the covenant
01:00:01 because it’s a testimony against them
01:00:04 because they broke it
01:00:06 and that’s the law, the covenant Torah.
01:00:10 Okay. Anyways, uh, this just goes on and
01:00:13 on going off how the purpose of life is
01:00:16 to come under Yeshua’s covering, keep
01:00:18 his commandments, Torah, and help others
01:00:21 to do the same. Okay.
01:00:24 And that’s how you come to know that
01:00:26 Yahweh is Yahweh is by keeping his
01:00:29 commandments.
01:00:31 Okay. Um Oh, I was showing the wrong
01:00:35 page. Sorry. My bad. You should have
01:00:38 totally read it.
01:00:41 So, here’s the purpose of life page. The
01:00:44 scriptures I was reading and and many
01:00:46 more. Okay. [laughter]
01:00:49 Um, so, uh, hopefully
01:00:54 I I I mean, I just wanted to share that
01:00:56 because it’s pretty fresh. I just
01:00:59 recently did it and it’s on an important
01:01:02 subject that here is an Ezekiel 20 in
01:01:06 the middle of nowhere
01:01:08 with a correct translation shows that
01:01:12 Yahweh gave them performances and
01:01:15 ordinances or ceremonies
01:01:18 that would not help them restore them to
01:01:21 eternal life.
01:01:25 Right?
01:01:27 because of what they did and the
01:01:30 history. We went briefly of what was
01:01:32 talking about before these verses in
01:01:35 Ezekiel 20 and it describes
01:01:38 their sin. It specifically at the golden
01:01:42 calf as it mentions things that from the
01:01:45 conversation from Moses and Yahweh when
01:01:48 Yahweh told Moses that your people are
01:01:51 sinning.
01:01:55 So I I I just it’s so clear to me and
01:01:59 hopefully this translation makes it even
01:02:02 it gets rid of the confusion.
01:02:05 He gave them something that there’s no
01:02:07 benefit towards sanctification,
01:02:12 which is actually if you go look at the
01:02:15 law of Moses page and you look at how
01:02:17 the Book of Mormon talks about it, the
01:02:19 law of Moses, those punishments, it’s
01:02:22 along the same lines here, that’s right
01:02:24 here in Ezekiel 20 with my translation.
01:02:28 I I am biased. I will admit that. But I
01:02:31 do believe the canon of scripture
01:02:33 supports what I’m bringing out in the
01:02:36 translation as does the Hebrew words
01:02:39 themselves.
01:02:41 Right.
01:02:43 Uh yeah, Paul talks about a lot. Where’s
01:02:46 the Book of Mormon ones?
01:02:48 There’s DNC,
01:02:50 Joseph Smith translations. Anyways,
01:02:52 there’s a lot. Um
01:02:57 Oh, here we go. Here’s Book of Mormon
01:02:59 one. So, it it’s throughout and I have a
01:03:02 whole bunch. It’s I have this updated
01:03:06 with all the verses I I’m aware of.
01:03:09 Well, okay. I need to add Romans 7. Uh
01:03:12 but that’s another subject.
01:03:15 Um
01:03:17 I I I need to add Romans 7 to this. I
01:03:21 just haven’t made time for it. But even
01:03:24 with that with that in mind, it even
01:03:27 brings out how some of the things he did
01:03:29 in the New Testament goes along with
01:03:31 fulfilling
01:03:32 ending the law of Moses. Okay, which is
01:03:36 talked about in 3 Nephi
01:03:43 14 and
01:03:45 3 Nephi 15. actually when you know how
01:03:48 to understand things. And throughout the
01:03:51 Book of Mormon, it does talk about how
01:03:52 the law of Moses is going to go away and
01:03:56 to no longer be kept among other ways of
01:03:59 saying it. I know I’ve run across some
01:04:02 people who have
01:04:07 looked at like end. When it says end,
01:04:10 they say purpose. And in some contextes,
01:04:14 that is the case. But when it’s dealing
01:04:15 with the law of Moses, that’s not the
01:04:17 case. Uh because there’s other ones that
01:04:20 really come out and say it’s going to
01:04:21 stop. Okay. Um
01:04:25 so I have all the examples here that I’m
01:04:28 aware of other than the Romans 7:1. So
01:04:32 anyways, oh I’m not showing the page
01:04:34 again. I’m sorry.
01:04:37 [laughter]
01:04:38 I forget to move it. Sorry. But anyway,
01:04:41 there’s a lot of stuff in the Book of
01:04:42 Mormon, in the Doctrine and Covenants,
01:04:45 in the Joseph Smith translation, in the
01:04:48 Old Testament, and uh from Paul, and
01:04:52 statements from Joseph Smith that help
01:04:54 clarify this. And they’re all teaching
01:04:56 the same thing if you know how to read
01:04:59 it. And now I need to add Ezekiel 20 to
01:05:03 it as we just went over, right? Uh 25
01:05:07 through 26.
01:05:10 because he gave them uh performances and
01:05:12 ordinances that would not restore them
01:05:14 to eternal life.
01:05:17 >> I I see a lot of uh particularly
01:05:21 Christians, but people in general using
01:05:24 this verse from Ezekiel to try and argue
01:05:27 that the Torah is not a good thing
01:05:29 that’s still to be kept. And I I think
01:05:32 this this translation really helps to
01:05:35 clarify and answer that issue.
01:05:38 >> Yeah. Uh, and I was not aware of that
01:05:40 [laughter]
01:05:41 of people using that. I I I I do I have
01:05:46 tried to help some people, but I haven’t
01:05:47 had them use that verse. So, but with
01:05:51 you telling me that, it’s even better
01:05:53 that I did this translation that I I
01:05:57 just happened to come across it while I
01:05:58 was working on my studies and trying to
01:06:01 find more verses for my Torah is the
01:06:03 Holy Spirit page
01:06:05 >> is it’s it’s not the most common proof
01:06:07 text people use, but I I do get it and I
01:06:10 never really knew how to answer it. So,
01:06:14 >> well, hopefully you do now. though, I do
01:06:17 understand why some people may not
01:06:19 accept it since it’s coming from my
01:06:21 translation,
01:06:23 right? I I’m just some random kid on the
01:06:26 blog.
01:06:28 But if anything, hopefully you can I
01:06:31 I’ll put in the scripture study link all
01:06:35 the links um after and inside so that
01:06:40 way they can go look at it and see
01:06:43 why I did what I did.
01:06:47 And there are verses from the Bible that
01:06:51 explain this even without the Joseph
01:06:53 Smith translations.
01:06:56 They’re better with them, the ones that
01:06:58 have it, but they’re not always
01:07:00 necessary. It’s just people don’t want
01:07:03 to put all the pieces together because
01:07:08 it means the Torah is still valid and
01:07:10 they don’t want that
01:07:14 because as Isaiah puts in Isaiah 8,
01:07:16 there is no light in them. And light is
01:07:19 a key word for Torah. They they they
01:07:22 don’t have Torah in them and they don’t
01:07:23 want it.
01:07:27 It’s sad, but
01:07:30 if you want to be like Yeshua and see
01:07:32 his glory, you need to keep Torah. And
01:07:34 you can see that in the tabernacle,
01:07:36 which maybe another day we can go over
01:07:38 that, uh, Brennan, cuz
01:07:41 that goes, you may really like that
01:07:43 because it goes over the 30 degrees of
01:07:44 glory in more depth than I have or
01:07:47 another part of the tabernacle that I
01:07:49 haven’t done before.
01:07:51 >> Yeah. I know. I’m I’m pretty I’m pretty
01:07:52 interested in going over that at some
01:07:55 point when we can.
01:07:56 >> Sure. Sure. I I’m hoping to finish my
01:07:59 Lego set first because then I’ll have de
01:08:02 I’ll have uh demonstrations. [laughter]
01:08:07 It’ll make it more fun. Right.
01:08:11 Anyways, uh I think that’s good. Unless
01:08:13 you want to add something else.
01:08:16 >> No, that that’s good, I think.
01:08:18 >> Okay. All right.
